Vacation rentals with a fire pit in South End, Halifax

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

We of 4 women going on a trip to NFLD and Evens home was our 2nd stop. WOW, what at beautiful place to stay. Both back and front can be seen with water and beautiful trees. This home was very clean and cozy. Peggy’s Cove is 10 minutes away and not far to see the Bluenose, with to see both. Would highly recommend this home.

Kelly & Doris were so accommodating, and helpful. We had the absolute best time during our stay. The property is stunning, and very well kept. Our children loved having the playground across the pond to play at. Waking up there every morning was so peaceful. We will cherish the memories we made at this private little oasis.

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Coburn, I must say you and your family have put in a tremendous amount of work to create a space for yourselves and your guests. It felt like home, everything was well appointed and we didn’t lack for anything. Lots of style right down to your lovely collections, original wood beams with modern amenities. We enjoyed after our daily adventures coming home to deer grazing in the meadow or the resident mamma and baby porcupines. If we know of anyone travelling your way, we will suggest they check out Hubbards as place to stay. Thank you for the experience.

From the moment we walked into Jennifer’s home we felt so comfortable. The home is beautifully laid out and was very clean. It had everything we could have needed for our stay. Jennifer was so helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area and she was always very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the Halifax area.

Location is everything! This property is located in a peaceful and picturesque setting, a mere steps from the famous lighthouse. House was spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place to stay. The view from the back yard is priceless and is very relaxing .She has everything there to make for a nice evening outside ,patio lights, firepit ,lite up dock and picnic table right on the water. Inside is very clean and cozy and is not lacking for anything that you might need .This is not a place that you want to make any excessive noise as there is another residence right above you.

Fantastic and peaceful stay! The place was exactly what we needed—clean, quiet, and surrounded by nature. A perfect spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!

We loved the location central to going to Halifax and Mahone Bay and Lundenburg also for going to our next place. Clean neat and tidy great shower all the amenities you need for a short stay!!

Victoria has created such a cozy and welcoming space with an absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is spotless and pristine, the bed was super comfortable, and she has provided all you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting her very sociable chickens and were able to truly relax in between our runs into Halifax for fabulous food, and a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove. Although our stay was brief, we had a simply marvelous time. Thank you so much, Victoria!

Our stay was great. There was on-street parking available, the space was clean and as described and had all the amenities listed. I would stay there again!

Marvin's place was beautiful, a nice get away for my brothers bachelor party ! he was very helpful and really nice ! went above and beyond! would highly recommend his place!

Excellent place to stay! Backyard area and hot tub is really nice. Place is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place and staying in the north end of Halifax.

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

Janet Lynn sets everything up with loving care and wonderful attention to detail. The gardens and view together with the cabin are an oasis nestled in a lovely neighborhood just a short drive from downtown Halifax and anything else one could need. Felt very blessed to stay at what truly is a cozy cabin. It was a joy to wake up to the ocean view and close off the day in the warmly appointed cabin interior.

LOVED the Fish Store so much! Great views of the water, great hospitality, great fires with sounds of the ocean, cozy atmosphere. Great paradise away from home! Laura and Jeff were very welcoming and hospitable!

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Wonderful stay at a great location and friendly accommodating hosts.Location and property was like a piece of paradise to us.Enjoyed the ducks playing in the pond each day and the dear passing by our doorway each night to get there supper from Kim.Enjoyed each morning breakfast prepared by chef Craig ,wonderful variety,beautiful presentation and delivered personally by Craig to our doorstep each morning during our stay.Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a 5 Star vacation. Took an impromptu trip to NS for the weekend and lucked out with a vacancy at the Lakeside Lookout cabin. Very quiet, peaceful and serene surroundings made our stay more than enjoyable, topped off with a clean and welcoming cabin. Interested to see all the other things that they will build and do with this property. Will return in the future for sure.

Awesome experience . I felt really disconnected from the noise and stress from the city.
