Yanagi-an is located in Kameoka City, the back of Kyoto. It's a little bit far from the center of Kyoto, but it's 10 minutes to Saga-Arashiyama and 17 minutes to Nijo Station by JR from nearby Umahori Station, so I don't think it's that inconvenient compared to the city. There is also plenty of parking, making it ideal for gatherings with relatives. Nearby there is a trolley train, Hozugawa descent, and a rafting departure point for everyone to enjoy. There is a shopping mall, TSUTAYA, and restaurants within 100 meters of the inn, which is very convenient. Yanagian's nearest station, Umahori Station, is 25 minutes from Kyoto Station. 10 minutes to Arashiyama Station, 17 minutes to Nijo Station. It's also convenient if you book the Romantic train. There are a supermarket, pharmacy, DIY store and restaurants close by.

The best B&B Host I've met in Japan!When we went over on the first day, Yoko was waiting for us at the door early and patiently introduced us to the homestay and the surrounding environment.The room is spacious and clean, and every morning when we wake up, Yoko prepares a delicious breakfast for us, and she also chats with us, asks about our itinerary, and tells us about the weather that day.You can also take a bath at night to relieve the tiredness of the day. On the last day, Yoko enthusiastically helped us plan the route to the airport, drove us to the station, and watched us leave.I'm really sorry for causing a lot of trouble for Yoko. This is the best experience I've ever had. I want to give Yoko 100 points. These three days were really great!I will choose Yoko's homestay when I come to Kyoto in the future, looking forward to seeing you next time ~

Such an amazing host! The space is so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. In the common space, there is a traditional Japanese garden that is stunning. They use a lot of incense too, making it so calming. You also get a traditional Japanese breakfast in the morning! You get your own room/bed, with shared bathroom. We went in the summer and thank God, there was AC in our bedroom. There's also so many family-owned restaurants in the area. We ate at so many hidden gems. All in all, incredibly worth it.

I am a Chinese tourist, the owner and her son warmly welcomed us, they can communicate in simple Chinese, so it will be convenient for Chinese tourists to come here.It's about 10 minutes from the nearest subway station, which makes it not particularly convenient to get around, but fortunately, the house is rustic, comfortable to sleep in, clean and tidy. Even though it was only for one night, the experience was still a very good one stay.Ichiro was really very welcoming and would ask about my itinerary and recommend places to go and restaurants and he was very happy to chat.I think this night will be memorable.It was very reassuring to stay because everyone followed the rules.Would like to come back again.

The boss is super nice, he took the initiative to help us move our luggage, and even lent us a flashlight and a stick when we went to climb Mount Daji at night.It is very convenient to visit the famous places. When you come out, you will see Kuya Shibashi (Uji Bridge). There is also Kumiko chair along the Uji River.
