On the first day of my visit to Okinawa, I met a lacquered wood vessel with a texture like pottery at the storefront of GARP DOMINGO, near the public market.It was only a little later that I learned that it was the work of the Fujimoto couple. When I arrived at the inn, I couldn't help but let out a cry.I was familiar with the dishes lined up in the cupboards.It was the work of that couple.Every time I sit around the table, their handiwork seems to speak softly to me, making me feel as if I've stepped into a short story. This house is more like a place to "live" than a resort in Okinawa.In the room, where the scent of white walls and wood blend, folk art items are casually dotted around, and the heart melts.The lighting, fabrics, and fixtures were all unobtrusive, but they had a definite presence. This time it was only one night, but I feel that if I stay for consecutive nights, I can slowly soak in the quiet magic of this house.Next time, I'd like to stay at the nearby "Basho's House". But to be honest, I've had the thought of wanting to live here many times. The work you encounter at the entrance of the trip reappears in the life of the inn.Guided by such coincidences, I felt my own outline gradually becoming familiar with the land of Okinawa.

Absolutely fantastic place, the view is breathtaking. You could spend your days reading and contemplating the sea (which I did). The accommodation is very comfortable and very well equipped. When we arrived, we realized that we were lucky to come across a golden family, kind, generous and welcoming, a family that knows how to live and knows how to make others live. Of all the Airbnbs from all over the world we've done, this one wins the prize for the best and if we could give it one more ⭐️ star, it would be well deserved. We left with a heavy heart, sad to leave such a beautiful place and such beautiful people. We've found new Nakamas and we're pretty sure our paths will cross sooner or later. See you soon.
