We loved this place so much! Beautiful house (perfect size for 2 people) and garden. The surrounding area is just wonderful! It gets very quiet at times and very dark at night, it took me personally 1-2 days to adjust. Getting there was a bit difficult since we had to rely on public transport. We took the funicular up to Macolin and then used a taxi service based in Biel to take us to the house (80 CHF). From Macolin we think it is most advisable to take the road / path called "Prés de Macolin Derrière". If you were to walk it would probably take you 1h+. The hosts were very responsive which was greatly appreciated.

We had a pleasant stay in Portalban; close to beaches, 3 lakes, hiking; and ideal starting point for visiting many remarkable Swiss sites (Gruyères, Le Creux du Van, Avenches, Morat, Bern, Solothurn, La Chaux-de-Fond...) The cottage is quiet, close to nature; (we often had a visit from a fox); on the edge of the marsh. Philipp was a kind and attentive host to us. We recommend this property. Sylvain and Elisabeth

Great location! Amazing and beautiful surroundings. The apartment was very clean, cosy and had all the amenities. The hosts are super friendly, nice and responsive. The only challenge was when we cleaned the apartment at checkout, because there was no vacuum cleaner and we had to use the broom to sweep the floor and with the vacuum cleaner it would have been much faster and easier.

We were allowed to spend a week in Patricia's cozy chalet. The lake is easily accessible on foot. The house and garden are very well maintained. Perfect for us, even with the kids.

Back to my favorite place!! Fabienne’s welcome was great. The house was comfortable . Hoping to be able to come back soon.

An idyllic place with a fine accommodation with a beautiful garden. Alex was a lovely host and we were super instructed. The flexible option to arrive was great. Uncomplicated and highly recommended.

We stayed in the house for 4 nights in 6 people. The house is practically new with 4 bedrooms upstairs, and 2 bathrooms, one with shower, one with a bathtub. On the ground floor,the entrance,the third bathroom (shower),the laundry room and the living area, consisting of a beautiful open space with kitchen, dining room and living room, TV area. Opening the window doors, this environment meets the garden, becoming one. In the kitchen you will find in addition to the refrigerator, including freezer, dishwasher, induction hob and coffee machine in addition to the necessary dishes. In the laundry room, washer and dryer. Carport with two covered parking spaces. This is a house normally inhabited by the host and his family, so it's inevitable that there are items, clothes, or food they own. That wasn't a problem for us. Communication with the host, in my case in English, has always been courteous and timely. Sandrine has always been patient and helpful. Mercì Sandrine.

We had a great stay at Damien's place. The apartment is well equipped, with spices, dishes and basic food, even a small personal greeting from Damien was available! :-) The bathroom is also super nice and very clean! We were there with a car and were able to reach everything very relaxed. Without a car, individual footpaths are a little longer, but also not a problem. Both the residential area and the city are very nice and quiet! Damien is very friendly and accommodating, we will be happy to come back!

Excellent place, we definitely recommend it, it is perfect to move around the city and get to know the best, but quiet enough to rest at night. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, they have everything necessary for a perfect stay. Thank you for everything.

Bernhard is a great host, extremely helpful and friendly, very responsive. He has been very arranging with us. The flat was clean, nothing to complain about, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable with nice and fresh bed linens. The flat is nice and simple, like on the pictures, we felt home and it was a plus for our holidays. In addition, the surroundings were very quiet during the night. When we are visiting Bienne in the future, we will first try our chance renting Bernhard's flat before checking any other options. Thanks again Bernhard for your welcome!

Daniela has welcomed us in a way we really liked. She have little conversation issues with english but she made sure we are very well communicated and very quickly when ever you message her. About the accommodation, it is very in Peaceful environment, quiet accommodation. I feel in love while driving to this place with lot of scenic views....its Amazing. I am staying here for more days when I visit again to Swiss.

Magali and David are the kindest and warmest hosts you can imagine. Always helpful and within easy reach. The highlight was the barbecue evening with wine and local beef steak. Thank you both and all the best with your project!

We felt very comfortable with Rudolf. There was nothing missing. He even offered to heat the oven for us. There was a welcome drink and a very friendly introduction to the apartment. Although we arrived late in the evening, it was no problem for him. A great person and great host. I'd love to come back:-)

Very nice cabin, both the children and the adults enjoyed it. The hot water limit has been manageable. The beds are sometimes very high for children, to have in mind depending on the age of the groups. Well equipped cabin and pleasant welcome.

We had a wonderful time in your home. First and foremost the house itself: so beautiful, soothing, tastefully furnished and very cozy. We felt right at home there and also our children played there for hours. And then that view, I can't imagine this ever getting used to. In addition, it is also a super nice region, every trip we were amazed by the beauty of the region. It was a really successful vacation! We would love to come back here again.

Five Stars!!! This is the 2nd time we book this place as extremely perfect for large groups! It is surrended by green and very close to the city. A BBQ spot is in the air also 😎😎😎

We had a truly special stay here. We stayed here with our young kids and had a really great time. The outdoor space was ideal – the kids could run around, explore the garden, and play freely in nature, which they absolutely loved. It gave us a chance to slow down, enjoy the peace and quiet (with the occasional birdsong), and properly relax. The house itself was super clean and nicely put together. You can tell it’s looked after with care. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfy, and it felt cosy and welcoming from the start. If you're after a quiet break surrounded by nature, especially with kids, this is a great spot. We came back feeling recharged and would happily return.
