Mid Century Modern: Countryside, Culture & Beach

We had a lovely four night stay with our kids. The gardens were very special and we especially enjoyed the outside BBQ and dining space. The house is in a wonderful setting - very peaceful and right next to the train station to Rye and Hastings (ideal if you don't love country roads).

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars6 days ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!

A fantastic b and b, in a lovely setting. Close enough to walk to town, but in a peaceful location. The place itself is great, well kept and with everything we needed for a couple of nights.

The Dairy: light and relaxing

NancyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The barn was very spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The surroundings were stunning with lovely places in the grounds to sit and relax. We also enjoyed watching the rabbits run around and the walk through the woods to a local pub. Peter was very welcoming and we would highly recommend his and Marilyn’s place to stay.

A rustic wooden cabin is partially obscured by falling snowflakes, creating a serene winter scene. The entrance features a wooden door with a square window, and a small round table is situated on the snowy deck. Warm light glows from the cabin's windows.

Shepherd Hut on Farm "Waterside"

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I booked this little gem for my partners 40th birthday and it really didn’t disappoint. Very clear instructions on how to find, nothing was too much trouble and the hot tub was warm and ready for our arrival, it was also spotless and had everything you needed. I will 100% be recommending the waterside retreat and will be booking to stay again soon.
