A convenience store and supermarket are 5 minutes by car, the tourist attraction Montbell Park is 10 minutes by car, and Kochi city center and Iya Valley can be reached in about 60 minutes. It is the perfect base for traveling in Shikoku. Welcome to Sunna and Grandfather's Log Cabin_Sun. There are two themes of the sun. The first is "Looking at Gongaksan Mountain". I made the wall diagonal so that I could see Gongaksan Mountain, one of the 100 most famous mountains in Korea, and the sky above it. The second is "Breath, Rest". I didn't paint the room at all and finished it with cypress wood, hoping that the body and mind of the guests can comfortably breathe and rest. Also, I tried to make the place feel as spacious as possible, and to feel like everything is connected, by not blocking it as much as possible. The Sun is a house that Sunna's father made himself, except for the sink and table set. If you comfortably sit on the deck or the window that the sun is proud of, you can enjoy the dance of the clouds and the wind spreading over Mt. Gongja and the sky above it. The sound of birds and grass bugs moving around, and the sound of the stream across the street that you can hear if you listen carefully will comfort your heart.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
