Lake cabins in Scotts Flat Reservoir

I’ve stayed in rentals all over Nevada County for the past decade+. This was one of the best I’ve been at! Spacious, updated, easygoing. Loved being near Scott’s Flat Lake too. Thanks!

This was such a cute little place. Perfect for our stay. The beds were comfy and the house had all the extras we needed.

Our stay was perfect! Absolutely stunning location that overlooks the large pond. It gives a peaceful and tranquil feel the moment you walk into the Airbnb. The house is beautifully decorated with a clean open concept but also cozy furniture that makes you feel right at home. The host was very kind and helpful answering questions and also letting us check-in early since there wasn’t a prior reservation that day. Overall wonderful experience and highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway location!

The Red Ledge Cabin was a great place to stay. The deck has an awesome view of the river gorge and the river was absolutely raging this time of year. The cabin was spacious. The host had plenty of entertainment built in to the experience with board games, streaming services, etc. The cookware provided was really nice and we had everything we needed to make nice meals. The JBL party speaker was a welcome companion in the kitchen as well. We didn’t have the chance to use the sauna but it was really clean and looked like it would have been lovely. No complaints, 5-stars!

Beautiful A frame cabin amongst the tall trees. Very clean cabin with crisp clean linens and cozy beds. A large patio with comfortable furniture and a grill made for relaxing time outdoors. Within walking distance to the lake in a safe neighborhood. Would highly recommend and would stay again at this cabin.

This property is beautiful. Views from the main living area/kitchen and from the deck are really special. It was just nice to sit, talk, eat and play games inside. Using their equipment on the lake made our stay extra fun for our group. The weather was perfect so we really got to enjoy the lake. Just be aware the walk is a bit steep with equipment in hand.

Wow Wow Wow!!! The view and grounds are amazing! The beds are all very comfortable and the linens are super soft. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware which made dinners easy. Plenty of seating and tables for all 8 of us. Bathrooms are updated with all of the amenities. The outdoor area was our favorite. They have many outdoor option’s when it comes to seating. Couches, lounges, chairs, beautiful large grass area, not to mention the kayaks, paddle boards and tubes. Steve and Sachie’s place is conveniently located to many of the surrounding cities. Our favorite restaurant was a very short drive and so delicious. Twelve 28 Kitchen will not disappoint. I have to end this review with Wow the view is amazing from this home. Right off the bat let me just say that I will be back! Shayan's place was exactly what I was looking for to get away from the hustle and bustle for a couple days. Waking up to the sunrise was priceless, and the sauna followed by a cold plunge to start of my mornings took me to a whole other level. At night, its well worth watching the moon rise and looking up at the stars. I would not recommend arriving here for the first time in the dark...it's pitch black LOL. I overlooked that but Shayan was extremely helpful in getting me situated. Speaking of Shayan, if there was an award for #1 AirBnB host, he has earned it. Super chill, super responsive, and all his recommendations were spot on. He really went out of his way to make sure I had the most relaxing stay possible. Overall, the time spent at Shayan's place was well worth it and exceeded my expectations. The value for the money was great and it's perfect for a solo/couples trip

Michelle was a wonderful host—always responsive and very respectful. The camper is set in a private, scenic spot surrounded by trees and nature, just 10 minutes from Nevada City. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub under the stars and by the fire in front of the camper. We’d definitely love to come back again!

This was my 3rd time at this cabin. I’ve stayed here solo and with family. Every time I wish I’d booked a longer stay. The cabin is well off the main road so it’s very peaceful and secluded. The house is always clean and comfortable but I spend most of my time at the pond. I’ve caught small fish but last time saw a HUGE bass! Spent hours trying to catch it with no luck, but there are definitely big fish in there. I also saw other wild life including an otter. Even being secluded, the cabin is short drive to Nevada city and Grass Valley in case you want to explore. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to return soon.

Absolutely gorgeous dome retreat! Very unique glamping like experience but with all the modern amenities. We also appreciated that it was pet friendly. Places around in and Colfax town have lots of food options. Only thing would be, plan to arrive when there is still light outside, makes it easy to find the place.

What a lovely home and so well appointed. Michelle was super attentive and proactive. The home was quiet and the back area was a wonderful retreat. The amenities provided were first rate. We loved staying there and would stay again.

My family went to Lake Wildwood to visit some family and luckily found Iris' house. Her place was ideal! Comfortable and close to a park on the lake, with a wonderful deck to sit on and share about old times as the sun set behind the oaks. And Iris was as available and helpful as you could hope for. We will return for sure.

We loved the location and the property! We were surrounded by trees and the kids loved the pool and creek. The deck was lovely and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the sun and being in this little oasis! The kitchen was well stocked with cookware/ dishes. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us and also space to be alone. The host was super helpful and responsive to the few questions we had. We would definitely book again if going out that way!

This place is a real find, we booked a last minute weekend when our sons' soccer tournament fell through - we wanted a quiet place in the woods next to some water and this is exactly what it was. Clean, peaceful, relaxing cabin in the woods. Our kids loved the loft / den area and the games room. The whole place was clean and functional. The owners are incredibly responsive and helpful. Will definitely consider staying again - thank you!!

We had a great stay at Robert’s place! Great location close to all the businesses in Foresthill. The cabin was clean and cozy and nicely decorated, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Would recommend if you are looking for a place to stay in Foresthill!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It's tucked away on a very private and peaceful piece of property, which made it the perfect escape. The owners clearly put a lot of care and thought into the experience—they went above and beyond to make everything welcoming and comfortable. The cabin was spotless, and it was such a joy and unique opportunity to relax and take in the natural surroundings, especially the gardens. We truly didn’t want to leave and tried to extend our stay, but it was already booked—no surprise, considering how special this place is. We can't wait to come back! The hummingbirds were a bonus!

Our winter getaway at this cabin exceeded all expectations. The warm and cozy atmosphere made for a perfect retreat, with plenty of room to comfortably accommodate our group of four adults and three children. The spacious layout allowed everyone to both rest and enjoy themselves. The surroundings were serene and peaceful. Based on our wonderful experience, we wholeheartedly recommend this cabin.

Awesome little cabins on the river. Great fishing in the morning with a perfect spot on the bear river. Cabins were perfectly clean and the beds are super comfortable. Grill worked well and they supplied pots and pans. You definitely do need a 4x4/AWD to get down next to the cabins. RAV4 with AWD made it up and down fine. Awesome affordable getaway. 10/10 would recommend.

My family enjoyed a beautiful and peaceful 4 nights here. The home was clean and stocked with all of the basic necessities. The lake was walking distance and we took all of our things over in the wagon. My two dogs had fun sniffing around the property and discovering all of the tennis balls left by previous furry friends. Had some deer visitors on one of the evenings. Overall a lovely stay!!

The cabin was amazing. Just outside of town and on a private pond. They have a summer camp across the pond. You hear cheerful kids playing and the serene landscape of the ca foothills. Truly a great place to stay.
