Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Schönau am Königssee

The house is beautiful and the kitchen is super furnished, you can cook immediately. Also the dining room is great - the living room is very comfortable. The master bedroom is great, the other rooms significantly smaller, that also applies to the bathroom. But it worked. The floor creaks loudly, which was unusual, but that's just the way it is with farmhouses.

WOW! When we saw the photos of the property during the book, we wondered if reality could catch up with us sobering. But the opposite occurred: It's even nicer on site than in the photos. You can easily check into a feel-good oasis. A warm feeling of home with clean character at the same time, a perfect mix. For me personally, it was a first holiday that was supposed to have a real relaxation frame and had a big share of success in the great Casa. Fireplace set at the touch of a button, leisurely hours on the window sill overlooking the distance and the cable car, then a sauna with mountain panorama and before going to bed - by the way in a great bed - a swimming pool stay. What more could you ask for (or even a woman)? The kitchen offers all the options to take care of yourself. Our dog also felt "bully"comfortable and enjoyed the long walks that are offered around the chalets. Great!!!

Perfect place to spend the week with the family. Lots to do within a short drive. Felt like home and had everything we needed and more! Great that there was a washer and dryer.

Even the welcome by Pauline conveyed a good feeling of being welcome. It was like staying at a friends' place.

The place was very nice. It was a little warm, but there were also two fans. The furnishings were great. Everything was clean. Nothing was missing. Hosts were very kind and accommodating. We traveled a lot and it was always pleasant to come back to the accommodation. Very cozy.

We had an unforgettable stay at Hallstatt Lakeview House! The views were absolutely stunning — truly some of the best in the area. The home was clean, cozy, and perfectly located. Our hosts were incredibly attentive and helpful, providing detailed instructions that made finding the house easy. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to stay here and would absolutely return. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice stay and felt very comfortable

We had a wonderful time at Karin's place. Karin's parents welcomed us very lovingly, with an extra toy basket for our 18-month-old daughter, tips for the area and just a nice conversation. The accommodation is quietly located on the upper floor - you have your privacy and everything your heart desires. The garden was also great. We will be happy to come back.

We can fully recommend Daniel and Petra's apartment! The apartment is exactly as described and very clean! The balcony and the view invite you to linger, both in the morning at breakfast and in the evening with a glass of wine! The location is fantastic! We arrived by car, but almost exclusively used the bus for hikes or activities. This departs very regularly right in front of the house. (the bus is free thanks to the guest card) Daniel and Petra are also very nice and helpful landlords who really make it easy to feel comfortable! We felt at home from day one.

Highly recommend staying in this apartment. The location is perfect…quiet but close to all amenities. The host is so friendly and we loved the apartment. We travel often and this has been one of our favorite places to stay!

All I can say is WOW! From the moment we turned into the driveway we knew we made a good choice! This home was wonderful. We had everything we needed, it was a short drive or walk into town, and it was central to most everything we wanted to do! There were also so many options of things to do in Werfenweng as well! We didn’t have much time to explore the area itself, but you could make a vacation of that alone!

We had a great stay and relaxing days :) You can walk to Königssee in about 30 minutes - either through the village or along a small hiking trail. A bus went to Berchtesgaden, etc. The stop was also right around the corner. The apartment was very clean and all instructions were clearly communicated for check-in and check-out! Glad to come back 💫

We felt like at home from the beginning. Kathrein and Franz are super friendly and helpful. The apartment is top and has an incredibly beautiful view of the Watzmann. Ideal for people who love nature. We would have liked to have stayed longer, but the next guests were already on their way. My husband and I were sure: in this place, to these people, we definitely want to go back.

Nestled between Konigsee and Salzburg, this accommodation was ideal for hikers like us! Delicate attention from Marcus to leave coffee, tea and seasoning for late or express check-ins Your nights will be restful with this superb bedding. What more could you ask for?

We had such a peaceful and relaxing stay at Marina’s place. The view was absolutely stunning, and the whole vibe of the home felt cozy and calming. It was exactly what we needed to unwind. Marina was a fantastic host—super responsive and kind, making sure everything was perfect. We really felt at home and didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful spot to recharge, this is the place.

Absolutely the nicest apartment that we’ve been to. Has a really nice view. But the thing is, the apartment has a veranda with a ceiling. We spent a lot of time there, also when it was raining. We ate breakfast there. We could see the view without the interference of a window. It was something. Birgit the host was fluent in English. This is not the case always with an Austrian host. In summary, this apartment was a true find. Could be the best deal in Flachau

The apartment is great, we felt very comfortable! It really has everything you need. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and we were allowed to leave our luggage on the day of departure, so we could spend another day at the lake. Rainer is very warm and helpful. The fruit provided, the champagne to welcome and the sweets were very sweet. We would really have liked to have stayed longer - if we are drawn to Schliersee again, we will be happy to come back to this apartment!

We had a very nice short trip at Elisabeth's. The place is in a beautiful setting and we would have liked to have stayed longer to see more. We felt very comfortable in the apartment. We'd love to come back. :)

Wonderful, responsive hostess. Bea’s apartment is cozy and chic. Apartment was clean and well equipped for our 9 day stay. Bed was comfortable. The apartment is in a private home, situated in a peaceful neighborhood. Wonderful views of the mountains. Salzburg is a quaint town where the locals are friendly and the surroundings mountains are magnificent and the nearby lakes are emerald green. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a lovely stay, the environment is very peaceful, great if you want to have a quiet stay near nature and visit Munich. Please note, there is a 20-minute walk between the accommodation and the train station, the only downside :-)

This apartment was spacious and within 20 minutes walk of historic Salzburg. A bus stop is conveniently located across the street. We appreciated Gregor’s responsiveness to our questions. We had the opportunity to meet his parents and found them to be lovely people. Be sure to bring your own shampoo and coffee. We would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at Nora & Peter's property recently. The apartment looks even better than the photos and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We have enjoyed our tea in the balcony watching beautiful sunsets. The apartment is very well equipped and very thoughtful designed by the hosts. Everything is exceptionally clean . The kitchen was also very well stocked which was helpful for us to make meals occasionally. We also were in love with this town, loved to walk by the lake. Its so peaceful. In the summers, this lake is filled with water activities, swimming etc. There is a small convenient store 2 min down the road. Nora and Peter were constantly in touch with us and were very helpful from the start to the end. This is one of the best properties we have lived in and Nora & Peter are absolutely the best hosts which made our stay so memorable. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
