“I had a lovely time staying at Justino's place. Unfortunately I did not meet with Justino personally as he was off the Island but we had good communication, and his sister Cindy welcomed me instead, which was great. I enjoyed my stay in the flat very much, it is very spacious and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I found it to be a great location for lots of day hikes, would certainly recommend, and would stay again if I am lucky enough to come back to Madeira.”

“Very large house with swimming pool and well equipped kitchen. We were there in January and the weather was very rainy so the heating of the house is only with wood but it is efficient. The host gave us access to his garage to take all the necessary wood. He answered all of our questions, even when we called him to help us find a hike near the lighthouse. It is a truly picturesque place.”
Surrounded by forest and located up high in the mountains, Cedro cottage is the ideal choice for nature lovers, who seek peace and unique moments in the comfort of a well-equipped cottage. Its privileged location within the natural park of Ribeiro Frio, allows access to many "Veredas" and "Levadas", and reveals up close the beauty of the Laurissilva forest. Come, and enjoy a unique and romantic stay in this atlantic paradise!
“The cottages in Ribeiro Frio are utterly spectacular! We spent three comfortable and awe-filled nights: nothing to compare with starlight in a dark forest. If you like to hike, like wood-stove backup, love nature’s silence and spirit, do spend some time at Rui’s marvelous cottages. Stop at a good grocery store on the way since you’ll not be near any stores. Get maps, too. Actually, the vendor just down the way has a detailed double-sided roadmap for 10 euros that Is worth its weight in gold given Madeira’s poorly marked roads. Have fun!”
