Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Santeetlah Lake

What a gem! Great location, beautiful home, amazing view and very responsive and informed host. I am a professional events planner and everything about this rental went beyond what I expected. With Robin's help I was able to host an amazing birthday weekend with friends. We will definitely be back for a reunion.

We had the best weekend at the cottage. Easy, quick drive to downtown highlands. Some highlights - The pizza oven was great for making pizzas, grill was fantastic for grilling steaks, fire pit for s’mores and the Hot tub was used several times. The kids loved the bunk room. The house was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. We hope to be back soon!

Your rental home was one of the best. The accommodations for 3 couples was perfect. Your response to our needs was immediate and appreciated. We had run out of propane for the gas grill and it was replenished the very next day. Thank you for your help with the TV. We found it a little confusing! It was very special to meet Mr. Driskel. He was very generous with the fish he caught and his knowledge of fishing was very helpful. It was a pleasure to talk to him. He certainly is an asset to your rental! We highly recommend staying at the Shady Rest.

We enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay in Bobby and Dina’s beautiful, river house and they were the perfect hosts! They were very responsive to questions and even offered area suggestions including a wonderful local butcher, for our BBQ night on the deck, listening to the peaceful sounds of the river. This home had everything we needed to prepare meals, very clean and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this home for your trip to the Murphy area and would love to return when we have more time to fish & kayak!

Joan's place had everything! I've stayed at over 65 Airbnbs and this was definitely in the top 3. if you have the luck of finding it's available, just book it!

There are 2 beautiful houses on the property which work perfectly for traveling with extended family and friends or for rental of only one of the houses. The houses are new and thoughtfully designed for family living and relaxation inside and out - the decks are huge and make perfect extensions of the living space! Children of any age would love the place and the back entrances of the houses are accessible for people with limited mobility. Our toddlers loved the creek running through the property and the waterfall and fire pit areas are marvelous. The kitchens were wonderfully stocked with dishes and cooking pots and pans - even an air fryer! There was an old style arcade video game mounted to the wall in both houses - fun! We made day trips to the mountains and enjoyed family dinners on the porches. This is the perfect vacation spot and we will definitely be sharing the location with others and coming back ourselves! Thank you for sharing your hospitality and wonderful place with us!

The loft is beautiful and SO clean. We often have allergy issues with airbnbs but not this trip! So clean. Absolutely love being right on the river stream, too. So peaceful.

Don was so helpful and kind. He and Renie truly go more than above and beyond! The apartment was lovely with an incredible view. It was extremely clean and well stocked. It felt private and peaceful the entire time. The hot tub was very relaxing, and loved the spacious shower as well. The beds were so comfortable. We appreciated our parting gift and assistance with our luggage. We cannot wait until next time!

Everything about this home was perfect and matched description. The ONLY thing we didn’t realize was that it was at the top of a mountain with crazy windy roads to get to (at least for our toyota camry). It rained while we were there and almost spun out of some of the turns. Honestly it made our experience in the mountains fun. Other than that everything about the home was so cozy.

I enjoyed my short time here came up to ride the tail of the dragon with my boyfriend and son and this place was perfect for my nightly stay. It was spotless clean, had a 2 top hot plate to cook if you needed it . The shower had a waterfall shower head , microwave, and refrigerator for your use . I loved everything about this place it was well put together with love and affection . I would recommend this beautiful lodge to anyone looking for a great place and has wood for the fire outside and chairs for there guest to enjoy .

The resort is lovely! It’s a nice get away. Just keep in mind cell service is limited in this area! It’s beautiful. 😍

Spent the weekend in Gatlinburg and this place was absolutely amazing for the 2 of us! Had all of the essentials we needed, beautiful views, easy to get to and we loved having both indoor and outdoor pools to enjoy! Will definitely be coming back!

Leslie & John helped get us in touch with food delivery at the apartment during a rain storm. Their communication was A+. Their place is beautiful and such a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We would definitely stay again.

You feel right at home when you walk in the door. It’s a beautiful and peaceful location and within driving distance to popular cities in TN, NC and GA. My kids loved the board games and finding all of the wonderful toys. The view from the hot tub was magnificent. Even though they are a pet friendly location, they keep this space spotless. There were no pet odors and all of the furniture and beds were free of pet hair. We can’t wait to go back to this location again!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was great. It was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was awesome. There were some games there and books. The beds were a little firm, but that is not an issue for me. They are memory foam mattresses and not inner spring mattresses which I greatly appreciate. There were starter packs of things to get us going (soap, DW soap, laundry detergent, etc). The TV is only connected to direct TV. So no streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, etc. Little to no wifi signal at the cabin. Had to go up to the entrance gate at the property to get wifi signal. But most importantly, the location was amazing! 2 min drive to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, could even be walked. Same for downtown Bryson City, which is adjacent to the railroad station. Cute little downtown with lots of little shops. 15 min drive to Deep Creek for tubing and easy waterfall hike. 20min drive to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. 22 min drive to Dillsboro. So great location to hit lots of cool places. I would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!

We highly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the covered screened in porch, as it rained for much of our stay. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Damien is helpful and friendly and responded quickly. Overall this is one of the nicer Air Bnb's we have stayed in. We will definitely be back and stay at one of his properties in the future.

Bryson city cabin rentals is great company to get your cabin . The location is perfect for a peaceful , relaxing festive season or getaway . We enjoyed the beautiful cabin as we get ready to welcome our newborn . The place is right near Smokey mountain , train ride , kayak , zip lines , river rafting , you name it , it’s a lot to do .

Our cabin was clean, well equipped and comfortable. My wife especially appreciated the hot tub. Bryson City Cabin Rentals gets Five Stars from us!

Location was great with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I originally booked a different property with BCCR, but a representative contacted me the morning of my check-in to let me know the hot tub wasn’t working at that property. They gave me several alternative options to choose from that were available and had working hot tubs. I was not charged more for the switch even though the one I chose was slightly more expensive. My stay ended up being very pleasant despite it not going as planned, and I was impressed by BCCR’s prompt and helpful communication. The gifted bottle of champagne for NYE was also a nice touch. I would recommend BCCR and the Snuggle Inn to friends and family.

My family enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at Craig's Encore at the end of Lake Nantahala. We have stayed in many places, and this home was truly exceptional with every detail considered. We enjoyed watching Lake Nantahala change throughout the day, paddled in the kayaks, swam, soaked in the hot tub, relaxed and had fun outings renting a boat one day and tubing down the Nantahala River the next. It was truly memorable, and the only drawback was the long drive in over gravel, but that's what makes it so peaceful and remote. The lake was never busy and such a big change from so many crowded and touristed spots. We hope we made a good impression and will be welcomed back. This is truly a loved and cherished family home, and we appreciate Craig sharing it with us.
