This is a private rental accommodation located next to the historic site of the former Sanjo residence in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture. The former Sanjo family has prospered in the shipping, silk, and sake industries in Miyazu Castle since the Edo period. It was also the residence of the Edo shogunate patrol officer, and in the Meiji period, it was the residence of Prince Arisugawa Takahito and Prince Komatsu Takahito, and is now designated as an important cultural property by the country. We have rebuilt the annex as an inn, "Miyanaka Kanbei Honten". The name of the house is the same as the sake brewery at the time. The owner carefully selected high-quality flooring and tiles while maintaining the atmosphere of that time, and placed selected sofas, tables, and bar counters in the living room on the ground floor. We have created a space for you to relax and unwind. Please spend your time in a high-quality space while feeling the history and seasonal changes of Miyazu, a port town that has fascinated many people since ancient times. Guests staying at the property will receive a free ticket to the former residence of the Mikami family! You can use it on either your check-in or check-out date. We hope you enjoy the Edo atmosphere. With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

The guest house located at an elevation of about 2500ft in Rokko area of Seto Inland Sea National Park. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
