Great place to stay! I would recommend it for its price point, location and nice host. Pros: - The host, Samuel, was extremely responsive and friendly. He offered lots of recommendations. - They proactively offered early check in. - Location is conveniently on the “tourist street” near the public boat docks, so it’s easy to get around. - Spacious living room. One of the rooms is also very spacious with modern AC. Cons: - Had water issues for about 90 minutes but Samuel resolved it quickly - Location means that it can be loud at night - Difficult to control shower temperature (there’s only cold, lukewarm and very hot)

Beautiful house right on the lake, bedrooms were very comfortable. I liked having the kitchen and lounge open air as that’s where I want to be when at the lake. We enjoyed the dogs, the friendly old cat and all the birds. Tons of flowers. Elaine was very helpful with trail info and a boat contact. We didn’t end up kayaking this time but you’re perfectly situated to do so.

An excellent place... the people who welcomed us were very friendly, we had a small problem we went to buy in the nearby shops to cook some dinner and they sold us out all but the people who received us on the Airbnb helped us a lot and gave us of their food are very noble people and good heart we felt like at home ... as a recommendation for those who go they should be careful with the curves

Amazing little spot in Santa Cruz, walkable to any area. Quiet and cozy, perfect for some vacation time. It's not the first time by boyfriend has booked this house and this time I was able to come as well. Super plus point: it's pet friendly and our dogs LOVED this short holiday!

Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved staying here! It is such a beautiful location right on the water. The town isn’t that far of a walk either. The hosts are super flexible and helpful! Next time we’re in Guatemala, we’re definitely staying here again! Highly recommend!

The host was super friendly and responsive, our stay there was great except one night the power went out, luckily they have solar power so we were one of the few who had power in the whole village.

Our stay was incredible. I took my entire family Of 16+…. The views are breathtaking, with so many fun activities without even leaving the house. The hospitality was also a great bonus! Pedro, the house guardian is very attentive. Highly recommend booking Juliana for your breakfast needs, she was also great! 😊 Carlos, is great as far as communication goes, very patient and friendly. We all gave this place a 10/10 We’ll definitely be back soon! Ps…there are some massive stairs down to the pool/ lake. The walk down is easy but the walk up is some work! Be ready for some good cardio

Everything is excellent. The location, the amenities of the towers on the lake, the services, restaurant, cleanliness of the apartment, comfortable beds, super clean, everything is excellent. 100 points and we will definitely repeat.

Beautiful place... Great views, pretty quite and relaxed. Atitlan Lake is magical place and all the villages around it are amazing. A lot of culture and history there.

Amazing place one of best we have stayed in, beautiful view of the lake easy to get to once you know how, bed was super comfortably, once you get to Panajachel ask the boat skipper to drop you off at the Sacred Tree it’s only 25 quetzals per person. It has a personal Jacuzzi in each unit 😊.If I have to mention anything bad will be that the food it’s only made by order ahead of time, breakfast the day before and lunch and dinner at least 5 hours before order than that I totally recommend this place while in Lake Atitlan .

Highly recommended and great place to visit

Beautiful oasis in the heart of Panajachel. Yard is stunning with an unparalleled lake view. House is lovely and we enjoyed sitting indoors feeling the cross breeze while taking in the view and the quick walk to the main road and its bustling shops and restaurants was perfect. My mom is 87 and got around great in the house and even enjoyed the hammock swing. Plenty of available purified water was a grateful touch for our thirsty party of 9. Thanks for the great place to stay!

Samuels place was nice and neat. He was very courteous and checked in on me daily to ask if I needed anything. Very nice guy with a nice place. The room has direct view of Lake Atitlan. The room has a comfy bed and a sofa.

I agree with all the previous reviews - can’t recommend Griselda and Antonio’s place high enough. San Pedro is loud ! And this is an oasis of calm yet walkable to the town and language school(s) we will defo be back.

Ana Lidia’s place was just perfect for us. Because of the flight delay, we were arriving to San Pedro La Laguna at 2 am. The hotel we pre-booked did not have 24 hour reception, we needed a last minute self-check in place to stay. Happy we found Ana Lidia’s place and that it was available. Ana Lidia was super prompt in responding and very accommodating. Instructions to find the place in the weaving streets of San Pedro were very clear with helpful photos. The apartment itself is very nice, clean, cozy, comfortable. I was traveling with my two sons and 2 bedrooms with 4 beds meant we all had plenty of space. There is a nicely equipped kitchen and cozy living room space too. Location wise - it is in a quieter part of town and very close to the lake itself. While it does not have a view of the lake, there is a very nice restaurant (El Gato Perdido) at the hotel literally next door with the view of the lake and tasty food. Couldn’t be happier with our experience and stay. Thank you!

Great stay. Two families each with two kids and plenty of beds and space for kids to run around. We hired a local chef, Juan Carlos, to cook dinners, which really turned the trip into a vacation. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, etc within 5 min walk. Mariano, caretaker, met us at dock to help carry luggage to the house. Temescal was very relaxing at night and we loved hearing the birds and wildlife scurry around. We had some cloudy weather so pool/jacuzzi wasn't warm, but we cant change the weather! 100% recommend.

Our stay was unforgettable. The views and proximity to the lake and nature reserve, as well as the outdoor bathroom were spectacular. The serenity and sounds of nature took our breath away. Very good choice to unwind and reconnect with oneself or nature. Hosts were above and beyond helpful and communicative (and with translation to our driver). With that said, the stairs down and then up to the house are no joke. Not for the faint of heart. Well worth it for the experience but if you are not in shape or healthy I would reconsider. It was a considerable effort. I also do not recommend more than 4-5 adults in terms of space and sleeping arrangements. We definitely want to return!

I felt immediately at home in Tzanabaj! Nico and Venus are great hosts and I loved my studio! right by the lake, peaceful, while also close to the city center (10 min tuk tuk), where the restaurants and supermarkets can be found. There is also a beautiful community living in the other houses, so you can have your privacy and socialise with other like-minded people if you want. Totally recommend!

Absolutely stunning views. So much space. My kids enjoyed having space to play on the deck. You’ll have to carry your bags for a 5 min walk on dirt path and climb some stairs to get to the house. So don’t bring huge bags you can’t carry. Kitchen has absolutely everything you’d need. Lots of sunlight. As others mentioned, there are definitely insects and critters in the house—spiders and yes scorpions. We saw two scorpions while there. One by the bed on the wall and the other in the far corner of a closet. It’s part of Atitlan living —but it did give our kids lots of anxiety Better to bring your groceries and produce with you. There are little shops by the dock that sell chips, beer, eggs, and some basic things. We would definitely stay here again
