Kid-friendly vacation rentals in San Carlos

A hidden gem with warmth and character, close to everything and very private at the same time. The patio and gardens under the giant redwood is filled with fig trees, tropical ferns, orchids and banana trees. Beautiful tile and stone work decorates the paths , columns and interior spaces of this charming California Bungalow. The stuccoed interior has tall ceilings and massive beams. Our stay at Petra's house was truly delightful. She was a gracious and responsive host, and her clean, cozy home, nestled in a beautiful San Carlos neighborhood, provided everything we could have wished for.

This place is very nice, everything matches the description on the website. The living room / kitchen was actually bigger than I expected. Pristine, upgraded bathroom and very private small backyard with lawn and trees (my favorite). My only concern was parking on the street which wasn't always available if I come late (Kenny clearly states that in the description). Kenny is a wonderful host, very responsive and attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this place.

Very quiet and great location. Easy access to major destinations in Silicon Valley. Extremely walkable to a Whole food Store and a lot of nice restaurants. Very friendly, responsive and quiet hosts! I give a Five Stars without any reservation.

The second time staying in this cozy and peaceful place, this time for our extended family visiting Belmont. My 4 year old nephew and his family really enjoyed the stay. Not only the inside (which stayed cool even though it was early summer), but also the sunny backyard was really great. Lacey was responsive for any questions they had. We had a wonderful month-long stay at this Airbnb, and I highly recommend it! The house is spacious and perfect for a family, with two living rooms – a real luxury when you have kids. We used one of the living rooms as a play area, and the kids absolutely loved it! The garden is a true oasis. We especially enjoyed the orange tree, which provided fresh oranges every day – such a simple yet delightful treat. The location is ideal, with everything we needed close by. The area is quiet yet well-connected, making it easy to explore the surroundings. A big thank you to our host for making this stay so enjoyable. We would gladly return!

Great stay at Randy's place. Very comfortable and had all the amenities and supplies I needed for a two week stay.

Beautifully remodeled home. The kids loved the back yard and the neighbourhood was quiet yet safe. We loved that the kitchen had a proper gas stove and all the necessary amenities to cook a meal for a family.

Stayed at Oriel’s place during a recent trip to Palo Alto and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The space looks just like the photos, everything feels fresh and nicely upgraded, with thoughtful touches throughout. There’s even a small patio that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. It’s in a great location too, just a short drive to Stanford and close enough to everything without feeling too busy. Oriel was super communicative, especially when some construction started next door. He went out of his way to have them hold off while I finished an important video call, which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay. Loved the space, loved the hospitality, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Visiting from North Carolina

Great stay at a great location. Short walk to downtown palo with lots of great restaurants and shops. Check in was very easy with clear instructions. Everything was as described and pictured in the listing. Would love to stay again, highly recommended.

Madis place was exactly as described and very spacious with comfy beds. We requested early check in, which Madi agreed to at a readonable cost. There are many apartments within the location and finiding out where the actual building was was a bit confusing but once we got to the apartment we were fine. We did not use the amenities listed. It was a short commute to Stanford so served us well for the graduation weekend.

This a beautiful and amazing unit in a very nice friendly quiet neighborhood. The host is very helpful and friendly! The whole experience is amazing! Highly recommend it!

Clean, quiet and easy to get to! A perfect location for spending the day in SF or Half Moon Day and a quick 15 minutes to the airport. Was perfect for our needs. I would definitely stay there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Donna’s place! The unit was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Towels were thick and fluffy. It’s only a short walk to a couple of supermarkets and Burlingame Avenue, which is full of restaurants and shops. At night, it was quiet. The unit is up on the second floor, so you’ll have to be able to carry your own luggage up the stairs, but this was not an issue for me. Overall, this a is an impeccably maintained vintage unit, and it was a treat to stay there.

Eric has created a lovely space in an ideal location. From a super easy check-in to a super comfy bed, this place was a winner. Downtown San Mateo is a short walk and has everything you need. I would stay again!

We loved staying at Michelle’s place! It’s very modern, clean and spacious. Michelle is super responsive, accommodated our early check-in request, and reached out multiple times during our stay to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend staying there!

Easy walk to Lake Merritt or 12th St BART stations. One block from Lake Merritt. Quiet building. Perfect.

Perfect stay in Palo Alto! The place was very comfortable and spacious in a peaceful area and in walking distance from the town. We really enjoyed our time there and April and the team were super helpful and responsive to any questions or needs.

Easy to access, availability of parking and the shopping/restaurants made this location perfect for us! Eugene was quickly responsive to a couple of questions we had. The place was very clean and had what we needed for our stay!

An absolutely beautiful, well appointed, and maintained home. It was a fabulous place to be for our vacation. The mattresses were heavenly. Highly recommend. We will return.

Nader, We love the Deco and the Vibes of the home. Toilet has heated seats and in-Built Bidet spray for your Ehem-ehems! Toaster,water boiler,many pans, oven, microwave, he has everything u need. I asked about Aircon🙈. We did. not need aircon as The weather is so nice and cold at Night (11degrees 13-18Jun). We loved that Nader is a responsive and responsible host. My 15yr old son had a home accident and broke a hanging light fixture at the dining area as he stood up. We informed Nader of the issue. Super-host asked "firstly, is your son okay? Does he need medical attention? I have a first aid kit in the home". Super-host Wins!!! (Inna haza larizkunna mallahu minnafad. We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.
