Unique Amphawa Canal Experience ( breakfast for 2)

IreneRating, 5 stars16 months ago
Winai is a very welcoming host and a pleasant communicator. I was lucky to meet his family who are very sweet people. As to the place, it's not a houseboat, it's a room in a hotel in the countryside near a couple of beautiful ponds with a great chilling area. There's no public transport and no Grab in the area (no available drivers) and if you walk you may get unwanted street dogs' attention (people don't walk here) but hosts offer to take you around for a fee, otherwise you need to organize personal transport before coming here. Nearest restaurant and shop is ~3 km away, train station ~5 km away. You can book a rafting tour in the area which is pretty amazing, you go down the canal in a mangrove forest on a bamboo raft and then stop to eat local treat and watch locals fishing. When I was there they caught this huge river prawn which I saw for the first time. Also, there're iguanas in the area which are pretty huge and just live nearby. It was cool to see them in their natural habitat.
A vibrant courtyard is showcased with a small pond surrounded by various plants and flowers. Natural light filters through colorful glass decorations, creating a lively atmosphere. Several potted plants line the pathway, and gentle water movement is visible in the pond.

River Jam Amphawa

This was a sweet room with a patio overlooking the river. The host was very helpful, allowing us to bring our cats (for an extra fee) and helping us get in for a very late arrival. The included breakfast was great - more than we could eat!
A serene view of a salt-water swimming pool is presented at night, illuminated by soft blue lights. The reflection of two nearby villas is visible in the water. Lush greenery is seen in the center of the pool area, contributing to a tranquil atmosphere.

Fantastic grounds and large room. The host is super nice and helpful. A Singh in Thailand! However, you should be mobile because it is a bit remote. Upon arrival, confirm the address, as Google Maps is inaccurate if you use the AirBnB link

We had a lovely stay at Sathika's. Her father gave us really good tips of what to visit and when, and brought us to a food market at Mae Klong that I highly recommend for a visit! The place was very clean and very quiet, in a very pretty setting. Would definitely come stay here again!
The serene garden is surrounded by lush greenery and features a calm waterway reflecting the sunset. Water lily pads gently float on the surface, while a quaint structure can be seen in the background, framed by palm trees and vibrant foliage.

We had an awesome time on our honeymoon there! The place is amazing for couples who want to have time together. Also, the surroundings are perfect to make pictures. We were staying in another villa, because when the host knew that we came for our honeymoon, they upgraded our stay for free and we even got our private pool 😉 Even though we were staying in another villa, I want to write that during our check-in I noticed the extreme cleanliness of the place, and that everything in this small place is well-thought. I am sure that it is a pleasant stay no matter which villa you book. The host is a professional wedding fotographer, and they even made a private photo shoot for us. Overall, we felt very much velcomed and appreciated here. We are so very much grateful to the hosts that they made our romantic escape even more unforgettable.
