Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Salvo

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

We came to Rodanthe to relax and that’s exactly what we did. This is the only Airbnb in the Outer Banks that we’ve considered staying at again. This rental house was more like a home which is rare to find at the beach. So many thoughtful extras to make your stay more enjoyable. The outdoor shower was everything. I didn’t use the shower inside our whole stay. The hot tub was clean and heated up quickly. The master bed was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the deck talking, laughing, playing games, and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the breeze. Beach access is right in front of the house which made for a very short walk back to use the bathroom or get a drink. I appreciated having just one flight of stairs to walk my senior dogs up and down to go to the bathroom. The host was very prompt getting back to me and answering all of my questions. We had a slight issue that was out of the host’s control but they did everything in their power to make it right.

Great House! Easy Check-in, nice neighborhood, close drive to the beach access, and all the amenities you’ll need. I would recommend this stay.

Our family had a great vacation and we loved the location of the house. We had never been to Rodanthe so we were extremely happy with the location and the beach was beautiful and not crowded! The house was on a quiet street and the balconies added to a relaxing vibe. The screened-in porch was the best spot to have our coffee and chill while the kiddos watched tv. Lots of family games to choose from and the hosts have taken a lot of care to make the place inviting for families. The hosts were very polite and helpful, always quick to respond whenever a question came up. Thank you so much for having beach essentials for us to use-very thoughtful!

This home is beautiful. The layout provides privacy and lots of opportunities to spend time together as a family. There were many extras that made us feel so at home: tons of spices and a fully stocked kitchen, beach cart, chairs, etc. We loved having our coffee on the deck in the morning listening to the ocean. In the evening you can see the sunset over the sound of walk less than five minutes to a park and watch it hit the horizon. Sarah and Victor were quick to respond and clearly put together a space with guests in mind. Plus the most comfortable beds in any vacation property I've ever used!

Great place in an amazing location, walkable to beach, great restaurants, ice cream and conveniences. We loved the decks and layout of the home, felt like a true beach house. 10/10 would recommend and cannot wait to stay again!

The beach house was in an amazing location close to beach access and local restaurants. Rooms are very large and could accommodate a big group with lots of space. The pool and pool area was a great bonus. We spent a lot of time on the front deck for meals and hanging out. The owners were quick to respond to inquiries and very friendly. We hope to visit again in the future!

Really enjoyed our stay in the outer banks. Travis was super responsive and helpful and check in/check out was painless. House was well stocked with everything we could need and was very clean on arrival. Coffee shop was less than a block away, which was nice in the morning. Beach was just a few blocks away and the access had a ramp, which was nice for the wagon and stroller. No ramp on the beach side but if you go down one more access to Admiral, there is a flat beach entry. Back yard area with fire pit and grill was great for relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in the outer banks.

Thank you for everything! The only problem we had was an outside deck blind blew down during the night, but it really didn’t affect the trip and didn’t look damaged..my mom left a note about it I believe…otherwise, great experience overall and would definitely recommend

Great location, perfect walk to the beach, almost like oceanfront. Great hang out space and kitchen. Lots of extra blankets, fan for the white noise people. Great outdoor shower and basketball hoop. Walk to the beach was quick and not too challenging. Clean pool and hot tub!!! Would definitely come back!!!

Excellent beach getaway on a quiet street with an easy walk to the beach. A quick walk from a local market with everything needed. House was clean, kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed for a stay. Grill was clean and plenty of gas. Pool was clean and private. Plenty of room for parking. Balcony and porch made for excellent evenings. Beach access is close and private. Everything was clean and ready to go when we go there. Hoses and outdoor faucets made cleanoff beach stuff and dogs easy. Will definitely look to rebook in the future.

Our stay at changing tides in the Outer Banks was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and the short 30 second walk to the pristine beach. The house itself is a perfect blend of coastal charm and modern comfort, with a fabulous kitchen, hot tub, and very well appointed living spaces. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the thoughtful touches made our vacation effortless and relaxing. The location in Duck was ideal—close to local restaurants, shops, and attractions like iconic duck donuts haha, nearby cute places to eat , yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood. The host was incredibly responsive. We will definitely return.

This is a beautifully appointed home that is tucked away for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The house was perfect for our family and our fur-baby. The thoughtful touches, quality bedding and linens, as well as the hosts responsiveness made this trip extraordinary. We also appreciated the included pool passes and the recommendations given for the most accessible beach areas. We really hope to come back soon!

Shelli went over & beyond to make sure our stay went smooth. She responded to any of our needs very promptly. The Airbnb felt cozy yet spacious enough for 3 adults & our golden retriever. We would all stay there again.

This place was great. It was just a 2 minute walk to the private beach access which was never super full. The BNB was big enough for my whole family and my dog! Washer and dryers are always nice to have when staying away from home! It was a quiet neighborhood, but stay off the lady next door’s grass. There were a few restaurants to walk to and stores, not to mention a neat little tackle shop with iced coffee!! Our car actually broke down while staying here, so the walkable things were very convenient. She even let us check in 5 hours early because I got check in time wrong. I would love to stay again!

We just got back today. This home is absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. Sit on the couch, at the dining table, wake up in bed, wash dishes….wherever you are in this home, you will have an ocean view!!!!!!! Richard was very responsive and attentive. We travel down to OBX 2x a year and this will definitely be the place we stay! Rodanthe has that small town feel and just perfect for those that do not want to be around the crowds. Step right off the deck and onto the sand. Walk the beach and enjoy the sounds and views. Sunrise, sunsets? You get both in this home from every room! We loved our stay and will be back this fall!

This is an excellent location for the entire Outer Banks. Recommendations on things to do and places to eat were very good. The automatic lights for taking the dog out at night were perfect. Check in/out instructions were very detailed. Jenna & Tim were great hosts. Lots of amenities and great layout. Lots of fans, lighting and outlets. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. When we return to the Outer Banks this will be the first place we look for availability. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful beach home! The space was spotless upon arrival—truly one of the cleanest and most well-maintained vacation rentals we've ever experienced. Every detail was thoughtfully considered making it feel like a true home away from home. Our host was exceptional—organized, responsive, and clearly takes great pride in both the property and the guest experience. You can tell this home is lovingly cared for, and it made our time by the ocean even more relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed beach getaway. Perfect in every way! We can't say enough about Beverly & their wonderful beach house! We felt right at home immediately. The house is beautiful, clean & extremely well stocked. Right on the beach & also very close to the sound also. The neighborhood is peaceful & the street is quiet. The house also has really nice decking on every level & is gated so it's very safe for the K9 kids & would be for human kids also:) The freight elevator makes bringing supplies, groceries & luggage very convenient. Beverly & Frank definitely thought of everything and are very friendly, gracious, generous & responsive hosts. We can't think of anything to make it better. We've been coming to OBX for years & this is definitely our favorite place. My husband and I and our fur babies had an amazing time & very much hope we will have the opportunity to come back next year. Look no further than Beverly's place! There can't be anything better:)

Perfect for beach week! 4 of us stayed there for about 5 days and it was amazing. Jake was incredibly responsive, flexible, and personable to communicate with, the place was kept super clean and very aesthetically pleasing. My biggest priority was affordability and for what we paid, Jake knocked it out of the park! Amazing amenities (the hot tub and Foosball were a crowd favorite) and so close to the beach!

While we were on our way to Arlene's house she contacted me to let me know the street and driveway were flooding due to the high waves. She said if it was too hard to get in, her husband would take us to the house in his truck. We were able to make it in but it was a very kind offer and went above and beyond! Arlene's house was comfortable with an amazing view. A lot of the beach had receded away due to storms which made walks on the beach difficult at times but the view from her decks made up for it. The only thing we could have wished for was a bit more yard with less tall prickly vines to walk our pup and to walk thru to the beach due to the driveway and road being flooded. All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time and I would come back again. Thank you Arlene for your very fast responses and offer of your husband's truck to get in! If we come back to the area we will absolutely see if your home is available again.

This is an excellent house for your beach get away. It is a very clean, updated home with everything you need to love your stay in Avon. The location is great, in the middle of town. It’s an easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The home has a personal dock on a canal. It is a short paddle to the sound with the kayaks at the house. You can also enjoy crabbing with your family from the back yard and dock. We definitely would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in Avon.
