Best description from one of our guests : "This ‘gite’ was a real ‘find’. It is situated in a small copse of oaks but is surrounded by vineyards. Despite being close to the town of Bergerac, the situation is peaceful and calm. The accommodation is simple, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen area is sufficient to prepare your meals if you wish...We enjoyed sitting on the decking terrace in the evening with a glass or two of chilled rosé. We couldn’t recommend this accommodation higher".

Alone, as a couple or even with 2 children, we will be happy to host you in this small cottage which was a former bread oven on the edge of the Dordogne towpath. It is in the style of our Purple Perigord with its bricous and old stones. In a quiet and peaceful secluded location, you will still be close enough to visit the famous bastides and castles of Dordogne but also Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde and halfway to SARLAT and Saint-Émilion.

Tatum and her husband we're particularly warm and friendly. They were also very helpful. I extended my stay from three nights to seven days as it was very peaceful good great value, clean and comfortable. I can recommend this destination for people with dogs who want a quiet , yet convenient place stay in the countryside, near Bergerac.

Isabelle is very nice and was able to respond perfectly to my requests. Very nice accommodation, with a quiet and very convenient exterior. Very clean bedding and very cozy bathroom. It feels like home while being elsewhere.

The modern bathroom features a wooden vanity with two drawers and an open shelf displaying rolled towels. Above, a round mirror is mounted on a textured wall, complemented by a sleek faucet and a dark countertop. A toilet is positioned beside the vanity.

Clare reached out as soon as we booked to make contact and see if we had any questions. She provided excellent guidance for getting the train from Bordeaux. Check in was very easy. Clare oriented us to the space and responded quickly to communications throughout our stay. The apartment has a wonderful interior space and really good light. The garden with its privacy but excellent views provides an ideal place to visit or reflect at all hours. The location is ideal. You are in the oldest part of Bergerac, and can walk everywhere. We would highly recommend visiting Vins de Bergerac Duras just a block and a half away to try many local wines. The staff is very friendly, they have a deck overlooking the river in the front, and a wonderful seating area in an old cloister in the back. There are numerous good restaurants and sites within a reasonable drive. Clare provided excellent suggestions, and you can pick up a tourist map at the information office below Vins de Bergerac Duras.
