The ONLY WAY to and from is by boat,kayak or hike making this the perfect unique getaway.

Fishing Point Vacation Home

Take it easy at this unique getaway. The only waterfront rental home in St. Anthony. Named because of its close proximity to scenic Fishing Point Park. The traditional two storey house was built in the 1940’s. It has since been renovated such that you can enjoy its coziness and saviour a panoramic view of the harbour with its whales, icebergs and boats. Our 3 bedrooms are named after Fishing Berths. There is a private wharf to enjoy and a beach as well. You won’t be disappointed with your stay!

Come home for a rest in our oceanfront Newfoundland homestead located a stones throw from the harbours edge. The UNESCO Historical Viking Site and the Viking Norstead Port of Trade are just minutes away in Lanse Aux Meadows. Enjoy local food and maybe take a boat tour to view icebergs and whales if they are in the area. We welcome every person from every place to come make memories at our house. Unwind and enjoy a still summer morning as the sun rises and lights up the face of White Cape.

Beautiful Oceanfront 1 bedroom , 1 bathroom modern accommodations located near the Viking site at L'Anse aux Meadows. High speed starling internet. Huge window 6 foot by 14 feet facing ocean! Other guests have told us they have seen the following on the property at various times; moose, whales, dolphins, foxes, rabbit, seals, minks, sea birds, icebergs, moonlight over ocean, sunrise. Such a beautiful place to spend your vacation while visiting the many tourist attractions in the area.

Boyce's place was absolutely lovely. My daughter and I were traveling from Gros Morne, which was quite a drive. Boyce was worried about Moose and reminded us to be careful. The drive took longer than anticipated (common for us when using GPS in Canada). He told us if we didn't show up he would come look for us and sure enough, as we approached an intersection not too far away, there he was. We had been coming down with something all day and knew we were staying in the house. We let them know and did verify there was availability at a local motel if he would have wanted us to stay somewhere else because we didn't want to make anybody unwell. Instead, they put us in the small cabin on the property which ended up being perfect for us and we didn't make anybody sick. We really did miss out on meeting with Boyce and Michelle. We were looking forward to hearing stories of the area since he was a lifer. Boyce even gave us some of his moose soup. Hope we return someday.

Fantastic place to stay in L’anse aux Meadows. Even nicer than pictures convey. Truly walking distance to Norstead and Visitor Center. A few steps to Adirondack chairs overlooking beautiful view. Saw Ptarmigans browsing in the yard at dusk (cool bird). Had great meal at Norseman. Highly recommend both house and restaurant.

There’s not much to the town but what there is was charming, friendly and fun. Fords place is just walking distance to the local pub which had their first night of stories and singing. It was a great experience into the lives of Newfoundlander’s. Food was good and the people are friendly. Ford’s place was a quiet and comfortable place to sleep.
