Het Goede Gemoed is located in a very wooded area where you can walk, cycle and recreate to your heart's content. On the grounds of the University of Twente you can enjoy sports. The inner cities of Enschede, Hengelo, Oldenzaal and Borne are within cycling distance of the house. The lovely villages of Delden, Goor, Boekelo are also in the vicinity. Het Goede Gemoed; "Afterwards and yet close". Good cozy restaurants are plentiful and also grabbing a movie is done in no time.

A private house on the edge of the city center

This was our 3rd sray in this Airbnb of Frank and Elsbeth and as always it was fantastic. We didn't meet Frank much but we did meet Elsbeth quite a bit and she is an excellent host. The Airbnb is perfect and fully deserving of 5 stars. On one of our previous stays I had said the heating was a slight issue in cold weather but this time the apartment is fitted with an excellent new heater. I guarantee one won't find a better place to stay in Hengelo. Our son and partner travelled with us and they stayed in a nearby hotel and they were envious of our accomadation saying it was so much better than their Hotel. We look forward to returning for a 4th stay in the near future.

Unique apartment on an estate with horses

We liked the apartment. It is nicely decorated, but has a bit too much decoration in the living room. There were a few games and media. In the kitchen there was not, as indicated, salt, pepper and oil, but only salt. It's a bit noisy. The host welcomed us on arrival at the farm and showed us everything. We were able to check in an hour earlier. Unfortunately, the apartment was not quite clean. The floor was not wiped (our light socks were quickly dirty), the shower was not cleaned and in the kitchen there was still garbage from the guests before us. We really enjoyed the location. On the farm there are cats and horses that like to be petted. All in all, we enjoyed it very much.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend here. The Stift is a very picturesque village, nice walks and bike rides in the area. The cottage is small but nice, according to the description, and very quietly located on the outskirts of the village. Mickey and Jan very warm and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

A quiet workspace is highlighted by a vintage wooden desk, complete with a laptop and stationery. Natural light streams through double glass doors, revealing a lush green outdoor view. A decorative lamp and fresh flowers add a subtle touch of elegance.

My girlfriend, son (2) and I spent 5 wonderful days in the chalet. The kitchen is (except for an oven) well equipped, the bedrooms and the living room look comfortable. The highlight is the garden and the terrace. You can tell that everything was designed and decorated with a lot of love. The only "drawback": The chalet is right next to the swimming pool, where you can sometimes hear music and animation for the children - but that didn't bother us any further. All in all we had a great holiday.
