Places to stay in Warracknabeal
The Shack is an owner-built, self-contained rural retreat – rustic and homely. Situated on private property on the Wimmera River, only 5 minutes from Horsham, this 2-bedroomed cottage offers panoramic views of farm paddocks, dams, gum trees and the Grampians.
  • Loved our stay at The Shack. It was clean, rustic, comfy and serene. We did a stunning walk following the river that curls around the property - so many magnificent gnarly old gum trees. Loved hearing all the kookaburras and magpies from The Shack and eating our brekkie on the cute front veranda. Thanks, Buffy, for the eggs and milk, and for having us to stay. Would definitely return.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Buffy's, hope to be back! Thanks!!

    Barbara2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stopover at The Shack on the way to SA very much. Buffy and Graeme have made a very welcoming and cosy space. Be sure to read the history of The Shack. We had cows greeting us at the fence and there is a great walk around the property to enjoy via a suspension bridge. Kids (and adults) will love it! Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. And being pet friendly was super convenient. Would recommend for something a bit different.

  • The Shack is beautiful of all sorts. we arrived late & dark and was immensely surprised at the surrounding views first thing the next morning. my partner & i enjoyed our walks around the property, stargazing at night, the peaceful sounds of nature and wildlife. we're entirely satisfied and happy with our stay at The Shack ♥️

  • The absolutely ideal place to stay if you're looking for country charm with glorious serenity. The view out the windows and from the deck is so beautiful, the little details throughout the shack are so homely and sweet, the owners are lovely and considerate. We'll be back for sure.

    Kerryn2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Shack is a gorgeous little cabin overlooking the farm. It was perfect for our needs - three friends meeting halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne for a doggo holiday! Our four dogs had an absolute blast running around and investigating the cows and alpacas (from a safe distance / behind the fence!) The cottage had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated with rustic charm. It’s clear that Buffy and her family chose every part of it with care and love. The fresh milk was my favourite part (I drink litres of milk a day!) so I very much enjoyed seeing that in the fridge!

    Caitlin2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Buffy’s ‘Shack’ is a loverly, light, airy, rustic-looking-but-wonderfully-comfy off the beaten track retreat. Buffy and Graham are super-friendly hosts. Easy access to everything Wimmera. Early morning and evening walks by the river are a treat.

    Greg2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Oh the serenity. We absolutely loved this place. We booked as a stopover for one night on the way back from Mildura but wished we had booked for longer. We immediately felt at home in this wonderfully, eclectic space with its uninterrupted views of the land and the absolute silence.

  • This little slice of middle of nowhere paradise is ideal for a getaway. My partner and I just wanted a random weekend out of town. Exored the grampians and wineries. Cooked a bbq at the log cabin with a couple wines. Was amazing. Best part was that we spent our time being present with eachother because this place has that old school vibe about it. Put your phones down and enjoy the place. Definitely recommend.

    Thomas2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky with a capital Q. The interior and exterior collection of objects is initially overwhelming but on closer inspection you can see the care and judgement that has gone into selection. The same care has been applied to the hospitality offer. Worth going out of the way to stay here.

  • Great place for weekend getaway.

    Dave2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • You won’t be disappointed when staying at Leura Log Cabin. It’s a treasure trove of history and takes you back to the Australian way of life in the early days. The complimentary breakfast was an extra bonus and much appreciated. We will definitely come again.

Our new house was completed in Novemeber 2017 and is located in a lovely country town and in the middle of the Yarriambiack Shire Silo Art Trail.
Your room is at the front of the house, and is purpose built with a queensize bed, an ensuite and a small, private sitting room. Because it is a new house the 'garden' is definitely a work in progress...
The house is about 5 minutes walk from the main street, with easy access to supermerkets and all the town amenities. There's cafes, pubs and plenty of antiques and collectibles shops to while away the time. One of the highlights of Warracknabeal is the Ladies Restrooms on the main street to the right of the Tourist Information Centre. It celebrated its 90 birthday in 2017 and is maintained in the true, old fashioned meaning of a 'Restroom'. There is a large room with sofas and chairs if you want a place to have a sit down and a chat, and a baby change room. These areas are open to men to have a look , but the toilet area and little garden at the back are strictly women only.
  • A great little stop over when doing the Silo Art Trail. Eileen & Walter are so friendly, and generous with their time & hospitality. The BnB is in a wide, quiet street with a bedroom, en-suite & seating area inside & out. They were wonderful hosts, offering a cup of tea on arrival, a welcoming chat about the area, and then shared a glass of wine with us in the evening. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had terrific pressure & everything was well thought through. We would recommend staying here if you’d like a warm home away from home experience. Thank you, Eileen, Walter & Nala (the gentle Lab). 😊

  • Another fantastic stay with Walter and Eileen. They are incredible hosts with a great home.

  • You can expect wonderful hospitality from a delightful couple. The room and facilities are very clean and comfortable...and certainly surpassed my expectations. An enjoyable and peaceful evening after a big drive and jam packed Silo Art trail touring.

    Jane2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen and Walter are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and welcoming and make you feel right at home. The bed is super comfortable, haven’t slept so good when away from home. Highly recommended

  • Walter and Eileen's place is impeccable. Just 2 years old and designed to be a BnB. Extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast is generous. Close to the centre of town Scott street. The hosts are very interesting and hospitable yet allow you your space. I will be going back some time.

    Malcolm2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • a wonderful welcome and care as well as excellent accommodation.

    Alastair2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Eileen and Walter are amazing hosts. They made us feel right at home. Everything was first class - the property is very new, super clean, and very well appointed in a very convenient location. Amazing breakfast spread. Above and beyond. Great conversations were had every day/night. There's nothing more we can wish for. Would stay with Eileen and Walter again in a heartbeat if we are heading in that direction in future. Heartfelt thank you.

Large lounge , very well kept flower garden makes this a nice place to stay. It away from the main road , so no noise to bother you. Its got central heating and cooling with the controls in Suz's area. Loved it.

  • Urban Oasis is a unique, modern and beautifully designed self contained apartment. Erin has thought out the place beautifully, and the stay was relaxing. Such a shame we didn't get to use the pool and al fresco, but a wonderful surprise, none the less

    Darren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little space. All you could need. Stylishly decorated, close to restaurants and pubs. Toast and cereal were nice touches. Thanks Erin. We’ll be back!

    Catherine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The room is very stylish and the bed is soooo comfortable. There is a kettle, toaster, microwave and small electric cooktop. Crockery and glasses and breakfast basics (bread, cereal, tea, milk, butter) are supplied. We enjoyed having access to the outdoor entertainment/BBQ area. The apartment is a little further from the town centre than we thought but it is only about a 30 minute stroll along the river to get there. Had a great coffee at Nourish’d Cafe.

  • Great location, wonderful facilities

    Paul2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • From the ment we drove in and opened the door the space took us away from the real world! It is modern, stylishly decorated all creating a large enough space to relax and create a comfy base for exploring a super little town of Horsham. The versatility of the open outdoor kitchen and pool is such an added bonus and creates a tranquil environment. The studio has everything you need including breakfast cereals and the most comfortable bed it was like sleeping on a cloud. Location right near river so plenty of beautiful walks. Erin is so accommodating and flexible even offered to post items I forgot! Don't pass up this Horsham gem

We are situated just off the Henty Highway, 10 minutes from the town of Warracknabeal and a few minutes away from the famous Brim Silo's? The room is in a very quiet location, you can choose to have breakfast delivered to your room or come & join our family for breakfast.
Like most rural communities everyone knows everyone and our neighbors are always most helpful and very friendly
  • Thanks Merrily - my colleague enjoyed his stay.

  • Most enjoyable stay – given a tour of the working farm – very comfortable spotless separate accommodation. Lovely breakfast. Hope to go again.

    Katrina2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great stop-off on our travel along the Silo Trail. We were very warmly welcomed by Merrily and the family on our arrival. The cabin was clean with a modern bathroom and had everything you needed. We joined the family for a hearty and tasty breakfast, and spent some time with the kids feeding lambs and meeting the various pets. Very easy to find off the highway. Optus & Telstra coverage is patchy in the cabin & house, however outside/window sill does allow for texting and hot-spoting. A great stay for our young family, plenty of room for a port-a-cot too.

    Karl2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a very warm welcome from Merrily, Hugh and their lovely family. Location is good being about halfway on the Victorian Art Silo trail. The private room is detached from the main house and is quite private. Facilities were very good with a very comfortable bed, good reverse cycle heating and good shower pressure in a very clean bathroom. The price was excellent value for money and included a cereal and hot cross bun breakfast. There was no TV or wifi but this was not a problem for us. Road access and farm driveway was very good

  • Virginias lives in the Australian countryside on a farm 5 minutes drive from the provincial town of Horsham, easy to find but at night you need a GPS. The farm is surrounded by a good maintained large garden and Virginias will be happy to give you a tour. And what you may expect from a farmhouse: the living space is generous. A spacious well equipped eat-in kitchen, a spacious sleeping room with two comfortable single beds with at the end of the (shared) hallway a large modern and equiped and neat bathroom (two fountains, a bathtub and a separate shower room). There is a separate toilet in the hallway. There is a cozy covered sitting area outside in the garden. Everywhere is Wifi. Very good value for your money. Verginias and her hardworking husband John are very welcoming.

Located on the outskirts of town, situated on 10 acres, this is your home away from home. Cute and cosy, pet and child friendly, Helen's place is a handy spot to stay while you explore the Grampians, Mt Arapiles, the Wimmera River or the Silo Art Trail or on your journey between capital cities. Please advise upon booking whether you are planning on bringing your pet along for your stay.
Lovely three-bedroom house that really feels like a home. The property is spacious, adjoining onto three separate paddocks. If you're lucky you may even see the cheeky sheep pop their head over for a pat! An easy-to-access home, with ample parking and a 2km walk into the centre of town. If the oranges and lemons are in season, you are more than welcome to help yourself. The house has air-conditioning and two different heating sources: a wood fire and a split system. Lounge around on the beautiful big couches, sit out on the verandah and enjoy the fresh air, or head down for walk along the Wimmera river just under a km away. The master bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, the second bedroom has a double bed, and the third bedroom is a bunk bed inclusive of a double bed and a single. All bedrooms have ample hanging space to really help you feel at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and cookware for all your cooking needs. A flatscreen TV, DVDs, books and board games are in the lounge for your enjoyment. Please note, there is no wifi at the property. Towels and linen, shampoo, conditioner and soaps included. Supplied firewood for those chilly winter nights. Pets are welcome – well-behaved pets allowed inside, but not on the furniture. Outside, being a rural property, please note there are rural fences and we would recommend keeping your pets leashed outside if they are likely to wander. We do have a 4x6 meter fully-fenced dog yard and a comfortable kennel if your doggo cannot be trusted indoors on their own... Don't worry, we've all had one of those! :)
  • Nice, cosy little house with plenty of space to sleep and relax. The house is at the edge of Horsham but an easy drive into town. It is on the main road by the railway but things quieten down at night and we didn't have any issues sleeping. A great place to stay as a group!

The Royal Mail Hotel is a charming country pub right in the heart of Wycheproof. With 16 rooms available, you can choose from double, queen, twin or combination. (Please email or ring with your preference). The shared bathrooms are clean and convenient, the comfortable lounge room hosts a TV, lounges, desk, heater and assorted dvds. A complimentary breakfast of cereal, toast, tea and coffee is included. For lunch or dinner you can visit our cafe or bistro for a delicious chef-cooked meal.
We believe in good old fashioned hospitality and we appreciate you staying with us. The Royal Mail Hotel has welcomed many guests over the years since its construction in 1896. Although the accomodation is simple and the rooms are small, the general consensus is that the building is clean and comfortable. The town itself is lovely. Wycheproof is unique as the train line runs downs the middle of the main street. You might be lucky to experience a freight train roll through town on your stay although the trains are very infrequent. The main guest areas are warm and inviting. You can relax on one of the lounges in front of the fire in winter or in summer you can enjoy an icecream in the cafe after returning from the local pool*. The bar has a charm of it's own with pool table, fireplace and plenty of friendly locals willing to have a chat. Out the back of the hotel is a large Beer Garden with an expansive lawn which is a great place for children to play. *Swimming pool is only a five minute walk away and entry is free.
There are many things to do in Wycheproof, all within walking distance of the Hotel. No trip to 'Wyche' is complete without a trip to Mount Wycheproof, the world's smallest registered mountain. It's only a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel to it's summit and the views are worth the effort. While you're there, look out for the emus in the nature reserve or better yet, go at dusk and photograph a stunning Mallee sunset. Other places of interest include the golf course, the racecourse, the swimming pool, the historical museum, the bowling club, the tennis courts and the beautiful Centenary Park where you'll find plenty of flora and fauna including our famous peacocks. After you've visited the park continue south to the silos where you can see the recently restored railway station, a K class locomotive on display and a Nissen Hut built around WWII. There are also plenty of great places to eat and nice shops to browse. You'll find craft, bric-a-brac, homewares and plants to name a few. Also pop in and say hi to Jimmy Johnson, the sculpture guy across the road. There's something for everyone in Wycheproof!
  • Had an awesome night staying here! Everyone was lovely, the food was great (huge portions), location easy as to get it. Room was basic but comfy. Loved hanging out with the dog!

  • The Royal Mail Hotel is a real pub experience. The beds are super comfy and the rooms are pretty quiet considering it’s a pub. Don’t expect glamour-this is a real working traditional pub. But the hospitality is awesome, everything is clean, and the counter meals are delicious and massive. Coco the dog is also lovely to cuddle. Great value for money.

    Kathy2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice old pub in the middle of town, meals were great! we both felt very welcomed. Rooms were clean, would stay here again.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids) and small groups (Family pets by prior arrangement).
Our home is set up so guests have their own private space at one end of the house with separate bathroom. There is also a separate living room and guests are welcome to use communal spaces. Your hosts, Wendy & Darryl share the kitchen and living spaces and currently use 1 of the 4 bedrooms and have their own ensuite.
  • Here we had a breakfast that was carefully prepared for us by the host and was very hearty. Host is very nice

  • Wendys retreat is a wonderful place to stay. So friendly and welcoming. You will get a 5 star treatment. If you order the evening meal you will also have a delicious dinner. Wendy is a great cook! Both the adults and the kids loved the food. The pool make the stay even more luxuries and the quality of the beds together with soft bathrobes for the kids made the stay feel more like a spa then just an ordinarie Airbnb place. To top this, the breakfast was also delicious. Wendy made great omeletts with local vegetables, garden herbs and the coffee was the best I've tasted in all my time in Australia. And the fresh fruits afterwards were amazing. This is the best airbnb place we have visit by far. We have only superlative to give to Wendy for here wonderful place. The children loved to feed the sheep and chickens and to pick fresh eggs. We also hade the opportunity to run at the Nhill's parkrun and meet so nice local peoples. If you want an experience over the average. You have to visit this pearl on the road back from Melbourne from Adelaide.

  • We stopped here to allow our baby an overnight rest while driving from Melbourne to Adelaide. We weren't expecting to enjoy our stay so much. The rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious, clean and with comfortable beds. The most outstanding aspect is Wendy's hospitality - breakfast was delicious and worthy of a gourmet restaurant and she is a kind and generous host. We will stop here every year!

    Leney2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute pleasant experience staying at Wendy's Retreat. The rooms are sparkling clean. The beds are super comfortable. Wendy is such a great host. Our cottage was built in 1892 and is therefore over 120 years old! It was originally the first bakery in Hopetoun, then the home and shop of the local boot maker before becoming the bankers house. It was empty for some time before becoming our fantastic b&b accommodation. Our gorgeous little cottage holds alot of Hopetoun history and we hope you enjoy your stay! :)

Bacon and eggs orange juice , milk, butter, bread and even fruit! There was endless amount of spreads and a good selection of cereals! The cottage definitely gives you a home like feeling vibe! The beds were comfy, couch was comfy and what we love the best while at the cottage was we took advantage of the pool everyday. And boardgames....Lots of them! There is never a dull moment if you decide to stay at the cobblers cottage! Thank you taliha for giving us an opportunity to experience your lovely property!

  • It's easy to see why Andrea is a superhost. The place is actually much nicer than it appears in photos - the place is spotless! We ended up arriving much later than anticipated due to a severe thunderstorm that blew out our travel time. The place was just what we needed to rest our weary souls. Andrea was very accommodating and turned the air con on prior to our arrival and let us have a later checkout.

Warracknabeal is a beautiful small country town. There are many cafes to go and have a coffee at. The Creekside Hotel is a lovely restaurant/pub to have a meal/drink at. It's just a short drive from the Silo Trail which is a unique landmark. Warracknabeal also includes a park which is right by the Yarriambiak Creek.
  • We stayed two nights with Paityn and found her home to be very comfortable. The house has been renovated inside and, while there are a few smallish issues still to resolve, it is roomy and very tastefully finished and furnished. It was spotlessly clean and well stocked with utensils, crockery and breakfast food. The guest bedroom is air conditioned, quite large and the bed is very comfortable. Paityn is a generous and considerate host and a very good communicator. She welcomed our dog Max too and there is a large secure backyard suitable for dogs. Although located quite close to the shopping centre and amenities it was very quiet at night. It also proved to be a great base for the Silos Art Trail. Highly recommended.

    Peter2019-09-05T00:00:00Z

Part renovated so some rooms are not totally finished but has two comfortable bedrooms, country kitchen & bathroom This is a REAL country house rescue mission so please keep your expectations on that level. It is not complete & has issues like dropped floor (lounge) & cracked but stable brickwork & plaster. Open fire is in an un-renovated lounge area. If you want to use this area understand "un-renovated" 5-10 minute walk to Pub, town & River Late 6pm check out Sleep in on Sunday!
Restoring a country house back to a much loved space. It’s a work in progress but very comfortable. Floors are squeaky, plaster is cracked but it’s warm, dry & has super comfortable beds & a cupboard full of games to play Luxury touches in a rustic setting are high end natural fibre bedding: 100% French flax/linen or pure 100% cotton 500+ thread count sheets. Large 100% Turkish cotton flat weave towels & wool or feather/down Doona/Duvets. Coffee machine, microwave, small electric oven with 2 electric elements to cook on, toaster & kettle. Pets are allowed to stay at this property & there are a range of woollen blankets that you can cover the beds or furniture with for your doggos, please be aware that the woollen blankets onsite will contain pet hair. BBQ & portable air conditioning available **a couple of guests have been concerned about the lounge area with its largish cracks in the brickwork & plaster, the house has been through several severe drought years & although it has shifted, it is structurally sound (not moving or falling). It’s 95 years old & isn’t going anywhere soon. It has been checked by a builder. Please be aware of this when booking or reviewing. This is a fun, rustic, convenient & appropriately priced house, if you like things a bit rustic & a bit of an adventure then this is for you. If you want a 5 star new building or hotel type accommodations then it isn’t for you.

  • We had a lovely two night rest at Dee’s place in Dimboola. The house is exactly as Dee describes and it certainly has its charms. We were very comfortable here. Dimboola is an old town between Adelaide and Melbourne and perfect to break the journey by road. We had a great early morning walk at the Wimmera river, just a short walk from the house. The bird life was impressive. Thank you Dee for your hospitality. Best wishes for the house project.

  • An elegant well appointed home just off the beaten track. Some of the best of Australia can only be viewed by leaving the main highway. This property is the nicest I have stayed in and it’s an interesting area to explore Aussie ingenuity and the spirit of rural life.

    Dale2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were a group of 7 adults who needed to attend a memorial service on the Saturday, so the Murtoa Farm-view house was the perfect fit. We arrived from Melbourne on Friday and made ourselves at home for the next 2 nights. It is spacious and easily accommodates 7 adults including sleeping arrangements in warm, comfy beds. Facilities are impeccably clean with everything you need for a no-fuss stay including thoughtful bits and bods in the fridge and pantry. Lynell's instructions were very clear and she was quick to respond to any queries. Highly recommend if you need to stay in the area.

    Marianne2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended as wonderful place to stay when visiting the Wimmera area of Victoria. Our party of six all agreed that Lynell's place was spacious, extremely clean, and very well maintained. It was well equipped, and we were provided with a generous starter pack of provisions including eggs from our hosts farm. Lynell is an excellent and extremely prompt communicator and she made sure our stay was an enjoyable one. Thank you Lynell.

    Richard2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lynell’s place was immaculate, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and filled with thoughtful touches and supplies. Lynell met us and our visitors on arrival and made us all feel most welcome. We all loved the quiet and peaceful surrounds and slept very well! We highly recommend Lynell’s place to future visitors as a great place to call home for 2 nights while driving the Wimmera Mallee Art Silo Trail, as we did with our Canadian visitors.

    Joy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely house close to the town. Spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds. Lynell is an excellent host.

    Dianne2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the best airbnb properties we have used. It is well appointed and super clean. The beds are very comfortable. Lynell met us and showed us the property. She provided us with farm fresh eggs, bread, milk, cereals, tea and coffee. It is an excellent place to stay if you are touring the region or travelling through. We wished we could have stayed longer.

    David2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Farm View is the perfect house for families or even 2 or 3 couples. It’s got everything you need. A huge yard, a fantastic outdoor BBQ area.

    Janine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lynell had been the most accommodating host I have ever come across. I was in awe of how amazing her guest house is. Very spacious, very clean, very comfortable beds, abundance of amenities provided especially her farm’s own produce! We only stayed one night but it definitely felt like home. Thanks, Lynell!

Home with some old-world charm, situated in a peaceful area close to hospital, river and shops. Great opportunity for a professional person or couple to enjoy an entire home during their Horsham stay. Stretch your legs in the garden or enjoy sitting out on the front or back verandahs.
Let's be clear - we are in the process of updating and adding delights to our Horsham home, but hopefully you'll find your basics to hand. If you are looking for modern surfaces and chic decor, our home is probably not for you :) One thing not currently available in the home is an oven - there are hotplates and a large convection microwave..but no oven! Gas heating for warmth and evaporative cooling for those hotter Horsham days. WIFI to keep you connected.
Home is in a quiet neighbourhood in the hospital precinct. Short walk to the Wimmera river and shopping centre.
  • This is a really great option for a 1 bedroom experience in a whole house. It is spacious, clean, tidy, light & very welcoming. The host is lovely, responsive & accommodating. We will definitely stay there again if we’re back in Horsham.

  • This house was bigger than I realised I had booked, which was a terrific surprise. The supplied food, all the utensils and cooking bits and pieces were all provided. It was so well stocked I thought I was intruding in someone else's space. Communication was quick and friendly. It's a very simple property that could do with some TLC but honestly, I had all I needed and nothing I didn't. Thanks for having me.

    Meg2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Megan's place. It is very stylish, a bit like a time-capsule into the 50', very clean, comfortable and with all modern necessities (internet, cooling, fridge, cooking etc). We also appreciated some thoughtful touches, some food food provided for the guests for an easy breakfast etc. Great location to access places around Horsham and within the town.

    Jarek2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Megan’s place is fantastic! Spacious, retro, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed. The photos don’t do it justice. So glad I chose to stay here instead of a cheap motel room. Megan’s personal touches were much appreciated, including toiletries and a fully stocked fridge. I enjoyed the waffles, what a treat! Highly recommend Megan’s house if you’re visiting Horsham.

    Alison2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Megan's place was fantastic, very clean and spacious and a throw back to a bygone era. We felt like we had visited grandma's impeccable house, but with some modern touches. We felt very welcome, with plenty of food in the fridge as well as a variety of breakfast cereals. Highly recommended.

    Harvey2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Megan’s place was fabulous, with all the amenities you need and a fully stocked pantry and fridge. Great value for money and a generous and helpful host who let us extent our time twice to help us out when we struck car troubles! Could not recommend more highly

    Melanie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Megan's place, it is comfortable, clean, in the perfect location and Megan's extra touch's such as treats and breakfast supplies were above and beyond. • If you're looking for an authentic country feel, then Woomelang Hotel is the place to be. My wife and I stayed there for the weekend, and it's beyond what we have expected in the region. The meals were beautiful. We've had beef curry and chicken schnitzel (they serve other meals too such as pizza, steak, veggies etc.) and even had a few drinks with Graham and Lisa (owners) and few other guests in their lovely garden. The place even had free camping at the back. The bar has got a pool table (billiards) and jukebox. Spacious indoor and outdoor area. And unlimited parking at the front. The room and bathroom are spotless. All in all, it's more than what we have expected! The hospitality and warmth feels like a home away from home! Highly recommended!!!

  • A very old (1906) house with the quaint touches of the era (or so I believe). Right in the Main Street of town.

    Dennis2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Dianne's place is a wonderful eclectic experience. This is a great example of how rural communities can re-purpose historically valuable places in their small towns and support community development. Rainbow is a special town with lots of community energy. Dianne's place requires a few small final touches made to it, but it was super comfortable and fun to stay at.

  • We loved staying here. Beautiful cottage. Great place to wander around to enjoy the landscape, say hello to the menagerie of animals and discover old farm machinery. Friendly welcoming people. We’ll be back again.

  • We stayed for a night but it won’t be our last night there, that is for sure! What a lovely cottage and warm friendly hosts too complete with a cutie of a dog that lives by the back door. I’d go back to stay just for the dog alone😘 Beautiful furnishings of yesteryear and a super comfy big bed (I wanted to take the bed AND the dog home with me lol) If you go and stay please give the dog some yummy food and lots of cuddles cause she is a lovely gentle old dog who never barks. We were not disappointed with this accomodation and can heartily recommend it to anyone (we had our dog with us who also enjoyed the stay) Well done to Denise and Rob 5 out of 5 stars
