  • The room is set in a beautiful village and is perfectly placed to get out and about to enjoy the wonderful countryside. The room is immaculate and clean, the bed comfortable and the little extras such as fresh milk, bread croissants etc make it superb. The bathroom gives a choice of bath or shower, and the whole room is well furnished with everything you need. Bernadette is an amazing host. Very quick to respond, and very helpful with any queries or questions. Makes some great recommendations for dinner etc so if you have never visited before then you will always get good advice and maximise your stay. I really enjoyed my stay here and would certainly recommend to anyone else.

  • This a real gem of a place! It is an attractive, peaceful space, very comfortable and clean and we had a warm welcome from Shannon when we arrived. There were many thoughtful touches that were above and beyond what we have experienced in other similar stays and it was great that there was some provision for recycling. Thank you Shannon!

    Natalie2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Shannon's place is extremely comfortable and peaceful. The view is spectacular and it's so easy to get to Winchester. Shannon was the perfect host. Food extras left for us were delicious and just the job for a hearty breakfast. We recommend a walk up Old Winchester Hill. You can see it from the studio - the views are breathtaking. A perfect weekend. Thank you.

  • Shannon's studio was delightful. Peaceful, surrounded by fields and splendid views of the south downs it is ideal for a restful holiday. This stylish space is very well equipped with a lovely kitchen. Good quality breakfast ingredients were provided. Shannon was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again.

    Hassan2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic, out of the way place in the country. Shannon was friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the treats in the fridge after a long journey. We booked a table at the nearby pub called The Shoe, which was recommended by Shannon, and were not disappointed. Olde worlde and food to die for! Loved the stylish touches to the space, like the handles on the chest of drawers, and enjoyed the peaceful emersion into farm life! Would happily stay again if in the area. 😊

A warm welcome from Dan and Victoria to our busy family home in the beautiful rural setting of West Meon. We're located a few minutes walk from the village centre which has a fabulous village shop, butcher and pub. We're around 15 minute drive from Petersfield and a 20 minute drive from Winchester. We have a comfortable downstairs bathroom and bedroom redecorated in 2017. This can either be set up with a super king size bed or two singles.
Our house is situated in a very calm and peaceful area with far reaching views from the kitchen and garden. We are only a few miles away from the South Downs Way which is a 100 mile national trail between Winchester and Eastbourne through pretty villages, historical sites and attractive wildlife.
Our neighbourhood is very quiet. Our house is joined on to the next house and behind our house are 2 others. All of our neighbours are very friendly and quiet.
  • Lovely visit, thanks

  • A nice twin room in a separate part of the main house. You also have your own bathroom. Very good value for money. Would recommend.

  • probably won't find better value for money.

    Oliver2018-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We used Victoria as overflow accommodation for a wedding so maybe don't have much insight on staying as a holiday maker but from the moment we dropped our friend off Victoria and her family couldn't do enough for us. They were excellent at communicating, responding promptly to everything we asked and occasionally dropping little messages to keep us up to date with their movements. Even offered to drive my friend to the church. Wonderful. And so reasonably priced!

    Michael2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • My colleague and I had a conference, and stumbled across Victoria's place on airbnb. An amazing price, and the place was spotless and in a beautiful setting. Great hospitality and tips on good pubs! Highly recommend!

  • Super modern space with plenty of walks from the doorstep. Marian was extremely speedy with communication and offered lots of suggestions for local spas when asked. She also left some lovely cookies and gin which were much appreciated! The log burner was fantastic as we shut ourselves away to hide from Storm Ciara. Bathroom very modern and great shower. Large, comfy bed with plenty of storage space. Microwave oven super handy for any cooking, plus induction hob. Oil/salt/pepper provided, plus some orange juice and milk. Note bathroom is not ensuite but through the kitchen/living room. Had a very relaxing stay here.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. There is a wonderful pub in the village that we were able to walk to. Winchester is really close as well - and returning to the Woodcote Barn was really something we'd look forward to at the end of each day. Everything about it is so thoughtful, it seemed like there was always another detail we hadn't noticed. Highly recommended!

  • We are so pleased we chose the Stables for our first experience using Airbnb, Marian and Justin were incredibly helpful and the property was charming, cosy and clean with everything we needed. The location is beautiful and peaceful and it was the perfect place from which to explore Winchester and enjoy walks in the local countryside. We would love to stay again.

    Anna2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Stables is a lovely property in a great location. We stayed in January and it was so cosy and a great place to come back to after a day out. As mentioned by others it is very clean, well equipped and Marian has worked hard to think of everything with some thoughtful touches.

    Julia2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a lovely long weekend at The Stables. The space is thoughtfully arranged and super cosy, it has everything needed for a quiet getaway. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and pots pans etc so everything you need for nights in, and if you don't feel like cooking, the village pub nearby is great! There are books and DVD's on the shelves to entertain while sitting by the log burner. Loads of beautiful walks in the area and there is a detailed guidebook in the stables with tips and walks you can go on. The cookies and gin were a lovely welcome touch (though we were doing dry Jan, but I'm sure the gin was delicious!) . Marian and Justin are great hosts and were very communicative through the whole process, helping me with taxi numbers and weather tips. Thanks again for having us!

    Hannah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayd a week at Marians beautiful place and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. It was clean, cosy and the bed sheets where wonderful soft. A beautiful bathroom, nice kitchen and livingroom. Very thoughtful details when we arrived made us feel welcome. Also Marian and her husband are very friendly. We would absolutely recomend it to everybody who looks for a quiet place on the countryside with short distance to several excursions.

  • Beautifully appointed renovated Dairy set in a quiet location only a mile from the main Winchester to Petersfield Road. A wealth of features together with spacious open plan living, easy parking, pleasant courtyard garden complete with views and a bbq make for a wonderful stay here. Fluffy white bath towels, crisp bedding, extra touches included serviettes, candles, fragrant room fresheners. Hinton Arms just a Mile away offers a vast menu of excellent food and drink. Many places to see locally including Hinton Ampner House, The Watercress Line Steam Railway, pretty villages, the ancient capitol of England ‘Winchester’ where the magnificent Cathedral is a ‘must see’, the South Coast an easy and pleasant drive. A more perfect location would be hard to find. I hope to return again very soon.

  • This is a gem of a cottage in a lovely location, spotlessly clean with lots of little extra touches which were much appreciated. The welcome pack offered a good selection of locally sourced foods & the dogs enjoyed their welcome pack too! Great idea. Communication with the owner was good & we had prompt replies to any queries. We look forward to returning when the weather is warmer so we can enjoy the patio area The information brochure for the local area was very useful & we had some good walks & pub lunches. We would not hesitate in recommending the cottage

    Phil2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Dairy is a wonderfully equipped, contemporary and stylish holiday cottage. Quiet, rural, plenty of wonderful walks and the peace and quiet is something to dream of. It has the contemporary feeling mixed with a few more traditional touches too. More than adequate parking, a great view out of all the windows, the sounds of the countryside, in the day the birds singing, at night the sound of the owls, heavenly.

    Patricia2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Was absolutely lovely, the attention to detail was amazing, such thoughtful touches. Location was perfect, so quiet and peaceful. Very clean and everything you needed was there. Lovely walks from the door! Perfect thank you.

A truly perfect place to enjoy the English country side. Highly recommend this for families traveling in this area of England! Lots of lovely walks!

Enchanting converted 17th Century Paper Mill over the River Meon in Warnford, Hampshire. Quirky interior with original Japanese features. Trout anglers will have a ball. There are swans, herons, kingfishers and mallards and, if you're really lucky, you might see an otter. As you can see from the photo, the Mill is just by our cottage, but we're not always there so often you'd have the whole garden to yourself. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Vintage Japanese screens (delicate!) form sliding doors to the loo, kitchen and bathroom. Guests have a view down the river from the sit-in Japanese style bath. There are oak floor boards throughout; you can hear the river beneath you as you sleep. There's one full sized single bed with a headboard and another slightly narrower single without a headboard. They can be pushed together (as in the photo) for couples to make a double if you prefer. Please let me know your preferred layout when booking. Lovely deep 'sit in' Japanese style bath - you can luxuriate and enjoy the view downstream. There is a small Japanese wooden bathing bucket that you can fill with water and use to rinse your hair. The south facing side of the Mill is one massive glass set of sliding doors with direct access to a wooden deck over the river. There are a couple of deck chairs so you can sit out on the decking in front of the mill and listen to the river gurgle beneath your feet. It's a lovely place to eat out too - the small oak table is very portable! Please just make sure you bring chairs and table in if it looks like it might rain. Please free to fish the stretch of the Meon either above or below the Mill building. There is Wifi, but it's pretty slow. Fine for emails etc.
Gorgeous walks, riding and cycling paths are on the doorstep. Warnford is in the middle of the South Downs Way which runs from Winchester all the way to the white chalk cliffs of Eastbourne. Details here: https://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/south-downs-way Warnford is on the South Downs Way so ideal for cyclists and walkers. Information about the Meon Valley - the chalkstream river and its wildlife here: http://www.meonvalleypartnership.org.uk/river We can recommend a very friendly local stables if you fancy some riding. There is a great gastro pub called The Thomas Lord in the next village, West Meon. You can actually walk there from the Mill if you feel energetic - probably takes about 50 minutes. https://www.thethomaslord.co.uk There are good local village shops with a decent selection of fresh produce in Droxford and West Meon - both about 5 mins in a car.
  • This place is heaven! Absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully renovated and the perfect hideaway for a cosy weekend. The sound of the river running underneath you is so calming and the view so captivating too. We didn't want to leave!

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The property is great, with the Japanese sliding doors, sit in bath, log burner and views of the river, not to mention the years of reading available , it was just perfect! Wonderful location for walking too. An ideal place to unwind.

  • This is a fantastic, very unique place to stay

    James2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • An incredible spot. The beautiful surroundings and equally stunning interior of the building. It was so wonderful to be so close to the river and hearing it beneath you while in bed was so relaxing! The space is so stylish with great thoughtful touches. Would definitely recommend- this place felt incredibly special. Thank you so much Holly, hopefully we will be back soon x

    Rosy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's place is situated above the River Meon and it flows right under the Barn. The place looks straight out of a fairytale! Check-in was super easy and the place was spotless. All the essentials were provided and a lot of thought has gone into making sure guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay. The sound of the river is especially soothing during the night. I would highly recommend Hollys place if you are looking to relax in a unique environment with a picturesque view.

    Zain2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most beautiful and memorable places I’ve ever been to. It’s hard to believe you’re in England as the place has such an otherworldly feel about it. We thought we’d explore the local area over the 3 days we were there but we spent a lot of time inside just reading and enjoying the sound of the river running under us. Wonderful book collection, too. We will definitely be back.

    Jasmine2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant getaway, can’t recommend enough

    Stephen2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had the nicest and most relaxing weekend at the Mill. A really magical place to stay - the interiors are beautiful and there's nothing quite like falling asleep with the sound of the water - literally right underneath you. We managed to do a great circular walk straight from the house, there are lots of walking options nearby so will definitely be back. Really recommend.

Downstairs it comprises of a kitchen and dining area with a guest toilet. Upstairs there’s a spacious bedroom with ensuite shower room. Across the landing is a large living room with a wood burning stove for those cold winter evenings. There is a small garden area to the front of the property and use of a tennis court on request.
The Den’s kitchen is equipped with fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave and a dining table. A washing machine, kettle and toaster are also provided. WiFi is available as is a lockable space for bicycles. The bedroom has glorious views across the vineyards and hills beyond and outside there is a car parking space and the use of an outdoor area. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing all that we have to offer.
We are extremely fortunate to live in the South Downs National Park, with the wonderful South Downs Way passing metres from our front gate, giving access to this amazing walk as well as many other great walks and cycle routes in the area. The well regarded Shoe Inn and its garden with river frontage is a short walk away for excellent meals and refreshments. The Meonstoke Village shop and Post Office is equally close by and is stocked with a wonderful range of goods.
  • Wonderful place to stay in the Downs. Great view in the morning over a vineyard and the place comes with a great fireplace too.

    Diarmuid2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful place to stay. The South Downs Way runs right past the front door (perfect for short walks, hiking or trail running). The views of the hills and vineyards are just stunning. It was so quiet and peaceful but good amenities in the village. We loved how dark it was at night. The accommodation was stylish and spotlessly clean. The wood burning stove was very cosy. Pat is a delightful host and a really kind lady. This place hugely exceeded our expectations and is very highly recommended.

    Tracey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal place to stay while walking the South Downs Way! The path was right outside and the barn was so comfortable. Pat was a wonderful host and gave us a warm welcome, and it was the perfect place for two tired walkers to rest. We had dinner at the local pub (The Shoe Inn) which was delicious. Thanks Pat, we’ll recommend to all our friends!

    Jasmine2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful location and the Den was a perfect place for a weekend getaway.

    Emily2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Den is a charming, warm and cozy place to stay. The setting is beautiful, whether it’s for a trip to Winchester Christmas Market or a walk on the South Downs, you can’t go wrong here. Finished to a high standard and with everything you need, we can’t fault it and are considering a return in the future. Pat is a great host too, very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive in the slightest. Throughly pleased with our trip, this really is a great place for a weekend getaway!

    Oliver2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy barn. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and gorgeous wood fire.

  • Beautiful place to get away with plenty to get out and do.

    Craig2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Pat made us feel very welcome and showed us round the barn and explained where everything was. We had a very enjoyable stay. The description of the barn on airbnb is spot on. Pat also kindly advised us at the time of booking to reserve a table at the local pub if we want to eat there as it is very popular. Would definitely stay here again

Betty is a converted 1960's Horse Lorry. She has been refurbished to a very high standard and provides the perfect accommodation for up to 2 people. Surrounded by countryside and boasting stunning views Betty is a great place to stay.
Betty houses a double bed above the cab, a kitchen area with all the essential kit, a fold down dining table and living area with futon, woodburner and TV. The bathroom is a short step across the deck and is home to a freestanding bath with shower, a loo and a basin. The underfloor heating keeps the bathroom cabin toasty all year round!
  • What a unique and fun stay! Would highly recommend for a couples retreat to the country

    Stephanie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, calming and perfect for a winter get away. Thank you. We will be back to experience the van in summer.

    Megan2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay in a quirky place! Firstly, Betty is placed in a wonderful area so calming and private with lovely green views. There is everything you need, a fully working toilet, bath, stove, oven and hot tub! (Which I thoroughly recommend no matter what time of year) there is no WiFi but there is service so if you need your daily phone fix you’ll be fine, however part of the enjoyment is relaxing with no internet. The truck stays toasty warm with just a small fire, perfect for relaxing on the sofa with a glass of wine!! Didn’t manage to walk into east Meon due to weather/time of year but did drive and the walk looks gorgeous! Also fell in love with the little horses and runner ducks! I thoroughly recommend for anyone who needs a break from it all or who wants to fall in love with England again. Thank you so much for your stay, we’ll be back in summer to enjoy it all over again.

    Kasia2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Betty is the perfect retreat, very comfy, so well equipped for cooking your own food. Very cosy with the wood burner and we loved relaxing in the hot tub in such beautiful peaceful surroundings. Would highly recommend!

    Rachel2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The most wonderful place to stay. Cosy, quirky, private and with an incredible view. Couldn't have asked for more from Betty. During our stay the weather was terrible and we were almost pleased for it, as it gave us theperfect excuse to just stay cosy in Betty with the fire on! A real gem.

    Lucinda2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the hot tub, warm bathroom and unique idea of a converted horse lorry.

    Verity2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great little country stay - we loved it. You really need to have a car to stay here as it isn’t close to any amenities and the hot tub is an extra charge to use.

Luxury, peace, tranquillity, space and amazing views. That's what we hope you will enjoy. We offer private space with time to chill, walk and enjoy your family or friends in complete comfort. We have two beautiful safari tents set in a grassy meadow in the middle of our farm. If you can pull yourself away from the tent we are also within easy reach of many local attractions. Our beautiful site is good for couples, families (with kids), and bigger groups.
Sleeping six in a king bedroom, a double cabin bed and a twin room, the safari tent offers the excitement of camping without any of the discomfort! In the living area you have a comfortable sofa and table and chairs for six as well as a cosy wood-burning stove for heating and cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes everything you will need to prepare delicious meals, including a butler's sink with running mains water and a small solar-powered fridge. There is a practically-en-suite bathroom cabin on the back platform with a shower, basin and toilet. Another wood burner heats the water and makes sure the spacious bathroom is warm. Lovely eco-toiletries are provided. To make your stay even easier, freshly cooked meals and BBQ packs can be pre-ordered from our Brocklands Farm website.
England's newest park, the South Downs Park, includes some of Hampshire's most beautiful downland. The views from our site and many local walks are superb. There are a variety of pretty villages with good pubs to explore and a host of other activities within easy reach. You will find a comprehensive file in the tent and a list on our website.
  • Absolutely fantastic. Tranquil, the most amazing views, a beautiful tent and everything you need to make your stay perfect. The walk the 'The Shoe' at Exton, down the old railway track is well worth the effort... About 1h 15 each way. We'll definitely be back...

    Lee2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Buffy was very attentive.. The tent has everything you need for a luxury glamping experience. The two log burners helped ensure we were toasty warm in early spring. One being in the shower room ment you could get showered and changed comfortably. All the beds were very comfortable and the place was really clean. Nice touch of prosecco, fresh bread, milk and butter, as well as basic supplies (tea and coffee) helped for a relaxing break. Kids 9,7and 4 loved the swing and building camps in the wood,Camp fire and toasting marshmallows. We took our 12 week old puppy with us, he loved running free. The Thomas Lord pub (a 20-30mins stroll away) served good pub grub and dog friendly. Fabulous family time away from todays technology

    Jade2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. The scenery is stunning and even though it rained a lot we enjoyed cosying up with the wood burner in the tent. We even managed to cook a full roast on the wood burning oven. It really is a wonderful glamping experience and we would love to come back again in the summer

  • This place is amazing, so peaceful with an incredible view. The tent is super, feels like home

    Mira2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The tent is a magical place to rest, enjoy the calm of the place and enjoy the simple things. It is very well studied and everything is beautiful: decoration, bedding ... We were lucky enough to stay in the sun.

    Alain2018-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our entire family enjoyed Buffy's hospitality in West Meon tremendously and we all agree that our glamping experience was something truly special and unique during our UK holiday. Firstly the camp site is just stunning with views across the sloping fields and hills, with a well positioned church tower in the distance among the greenery. A walking path leads downhill between the fields into the tree shrouded West Meon village. Our first night we walked down for a delicious dinner at The Thomas Lord pub and then back in the dark. Village also has small general shop and a butcher if you want BBQ supplies. Walking paths abound, with a nice day spent walking to nearby Exton and having another fantastic pub lunch at The Shoe. The tent is well organized and appointed, with wood burning stove and comfortable beds and thick enormous soft towels. Great hot shower with good water pressure. Very luxurious. On our last night we made a fire outside and roasted marshmallows, all thoughtful touches thanks to Buffy. Highly recommend. Definitely suggest getting to site during daylight hours.

  • Buffy was an amazing host. She was very easy to reach if we needed her which was great. She also left us a bottle of champagne and a lemon drizzle cake which was a lovely touch. Had a lovely mid week getaway with my friends and it was the perfect place to do it.

Across from the main house, sunny, entirely independent living. Self catered Breakfast, WiFi, Free-Sat flat screen TV and double bed with en suite shower room. A small sitting area and desk, complete the cosy feel of this unique property.
Situated in the center of this beautiful Hampshire village - voted the best village in Britain (Sunday times 2013) it is so convenient, yet quiet and secluded. All village amenities are on the doorstep - shop, butcher (voted best in Hampshire (2015) and outstanding 'gastro pub' The Thomas Lord, plus nearby Cappachino cafe for coffee/lunch/dinner, all with in a very short walk.
We have lived in many parts of the world and traveled widely. However, we love this special part of Hampshire. The glorious south facing aspect of this property, the central, yet secluded position makes this property a gem in the village's crown!
  • Extra touches included lighting the fire prior to our arrival so it was warm and cosy and loads of insider knowledge about local walks, amenities and tips and tricks! Would thoroughly recommend - Connie and Michael were extremely kind and very attentive hosts whilst allowing us all the privacy we wanted.

Welcome to Angel Cottage. A double room with king size bed in my home in the heart of the South Downs. A traditional Victorian house, opposite the church and only a minute from the two local pubs. There are loads of amazing walks and the South Downs Way is only 5 mins walk out of the village. I have a lovely south facing garden which gets the sun all day, if it is shining! East Meon is 10 mins from Petersfield, 30 mins from Winchester, 45 mins from Chichester and 20 mins from the coast.
Good size double room with king size bed with sole use of shower room. If you are on your bikes, I have a secure garage where they can be kept overnight. If you are interested in a longer term, Monday to Friday arrangement, please message me.
East Meon is in the heart of the South Downs and is so beautiful. And there are two pubs less than a minute away!
  • Lovely welcoming host, pretty quiet location, very comfy bed. Could have stayed in it all day snuggling with the cats!

  • A nice room in a nice house in a charming village. Jane made us very welcome.

    Alain2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was a wonderful host. My plans changed last minute as I was walking and she was so kind to accommodate me. She was as friendly in person as she was by email. Her house is lovely and the bed in the room was divine. I didn’t want to get up. Her cats are also very welcoming and she did me a lovely breakfast in the morning. She was also kind enough to invite me to the local pub quiz team and we regained the crown! I would heartily recommend a stay at Jane’s. Thank you so much :)

    Missy2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Janes's place, Angel Cottage, is in a quiet, picturesque village with outstanding walks. It is in close proximity of local amenities and is not too far from good road links. Her home is beautiful with tasteful modern features. Accurate directions were provided and communication was prompt. We parked our vehicle right outside, within a few seconds walk from the cotrage. We had a warm and hearty welcome from Jane, Pip and Milo. Jane is really easy going - she made us feel right at home. We were absolutely worn out from a long and hard day at work - thank you for looking after us. The bedroom is spacious, clean, airy and tidy. The kingsize bed is very comfortable. Bedding is of a good quality. The mattress is of a medium firmness. A very good night's sleep was had by both. There was plenty of space for our suitcases and to hang clothing. Jane left the landing light on during the night as there is a little step to the bathroom. The shower has a powerful and warm shower. We were provided with soft, fluffy towels. In the morning, we opened the curtains to scenic surroundings. A peaceful place indeed. Thank you Jane for sharing your beautiful home with us at such short notice. We enjoyed staying with you. We wish you all the best in all that you do. Thank you for looking after us.

  • A wonderful rural retreat in one of the best undiscovered hamlets in Hampshire. The church clock striking each hour was very gentle and relaxing. Complete with fledging owl and close to the iconic chalk streams of the itchen and The Bush pub, Pulpo Nero tapas, Long Barn - all great places to eat watercress and trout, the locally produced food and much more. A free choral concert of Evensong in Winchester cathedral every day- one of the best choirs in the world, the house of Jane Austen and a visit to the distillery where all of the Bombay Sapphire gin is brewed make this an interesting place to visit

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time here in the lead up to our wedding which was a bit stressful but the beautiful surroundings allowed us to relax and unwind in the evenings. The house was beautiful decorated, light, spacious and very homely. The living space was a lot bigger than expected and made for a very comfortable stay. Simon was quick to respond and check in was very easy, would highly recommend.

  • We were lucky enough to book both the Stables and the Diary for a family Christmas! The Stables were beyond perfect for our trip! We cooked Christmas dinner and celebrated with all 10 of us in the kitchen/living area. The Stables are beautifully decorated and appointed, it has every thing you need for a wonderfully relaxing stay. If Simon would let me, I would gladly come and stay forever. The beds are so comfortable, the couches welcoming and I LOVED LOVED seeing sheep each morning when I had my coffee. Truly first class experience, I cannot wait to come back!! The area surrounding Beauworth is fabulous beautiful walks, lovely pubs (Flower Pots, George and Falcon), and we managed a trip up to Laverstoke to visit the Bombay Distillery! You will most likely need a car. We rented one out of Southhampton. This is such a lovely part of England, and we are so lucky we got to enjoy it while staying at the Stables. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Truly magically visit! Thank you so much to Simon & Sean!

  • I don’t know how I can put into a short paragraph how wonderful our weekend at Yellowhammer was. The first time you see the view, it’s breathtaking. I lost count of the number of butterflies I saw as I walked back and forth across the meadow to the tent. The tent was fantastic - so comfortable and everything you need, big fluffy towels, great beds. Our girls LOVED the cabin bed, swing and den building in the woods. We walked to the village and back through the fields - for pub lunch and ice creams. Buffy was great too - we were greeted by delicious cake and her assistant came by with her horse to check we were ok the first night, and Buffy the second night. I really didn’t want to leave on Sunday!

  • Great place. Very relaxing few days. Will come again.

    Rob2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay! Great place for a family holiday or short break. It was very clean and cozy with the wood burning stove. Also yellowhammer is home to the best tree swing in the world, according to my 8 year old daughter!!

    Matthew2019-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is extremely well thought out. Comfortable, stylish, relaxing and surprisingly spacious. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Buffy!

  • We spent a week glamping, enjoying the countryside the peace and the space with our 2 young children! What an amazing place, and what a totally wonderful hostess! Buffy (our host went the extra mile and brought over our delivery of emergency wellies! But the rain didn’t spoil our trip as the stove kept us warm and the showers were lovely for cleaning off the days mud!!! (From very happy children!!!) The local area was lovely to explore and to return to the tent and the veranda to sip gin was a perfect way to end amazing days out! We really appreciated the prompt communication and had a truly lovely break! We would love to return to Yellowhammer at some stage soon in the future and would definitely recommend staying here xx

    Hannah2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This really does look exactly as the photos show. All the surprises we had were positive ones. Everything provided was of top quality and outstandingly clean. The children loved it. I was worried that there may be loads of mosquitos but there were none! Lots of kites and pheasants though. The huge swing will be something that the children will always remember fondly. Thoroughly recommend this place

    Jane2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place - we’ll be back!

    Ian2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • The tent is perfect for anyone at any age. It is beautiful, and thoughtfully kitted out. Coming from London we found the classic English countryside view idyllic and refreshing. Although cold and wet outside (October half term) the heating was fantastic. Us two grandparents with two grandchildren aged 10 & 7 years were very comfortable - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, particularly spotting pheasants, buzzards, and three deer; also listening to the owls at night.

  • Wendy and Ron were friendly and helpful hosts. Their home has the perfect location in a pretty village and the off street parking is a bonus. They are next door to The Olde George Pub which has great atmosphere and good food. There are a number of walks in the area that you can do from their house. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and there is a beautiful garden perfect for a pre-dinner drink or to read a book. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our conversations with them and the tips they gave us for exploring the local area. A very enjoyable stay.

    Jennifer2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy and Ron were absolutely great hosts and were very welcoming and helpful. They provided some local walks around the area and even recommended places to visit for days out in the South Downs. The room was immaculately clean, had a comfy bed and was perfectly as described. The continental style breakfast was good too and you must try the delicious coffees that Ron makes to order. We would highly recommend staying at the Pound Orchard and would definitely return! Thanks to Wendy and Ron for a great stay.

The Guest House oozes chic Scandinavian style with exposed pine walls and ceilings and a compact oak kitchen. It is set in the gorgeous classic English country garden of a large 16th century thatched house in the Meon Valley, one of the most beautiful parts of South Downs national park. The grounds contain a swimming pool and tennis court for guest use. The Kings Way trail passes within a few steps of the property on its way to the lovely local pub for great food and quality ale.
The Guest House is a wonderful base for those wishing to explore the surrounding countryside and many wonderful pubs, restaurants and picnic spots. People are always surprised to discover this magnificent rural beauty such a short distance from London. The double bed is a standard small double not queen as we are all now used to. The sofa bed is a day bed. Available as either one or two single beds. Please ask if you need these made up.
  • This place is absolutely adorable! My husband, my dog and I had a lovely few days in this lovely house. It was lovely and warm and really well put together. Excellent use has been made of this little space. Tara was super friendly and extremely helpful. The home made bread we discovered upon arrival was a particularly nice touch. We would definitely recommend this place and happily stay there again.

  • We use this accommodation for our work trips in Brighton and it is always a pleasure.

    Joshua2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful, cosy retreat. We really only used it as a base camp for trips to Southampton, Portsmouth and the New Forest but the place was everything we needed and the little touches like homemade jam and apples and pears from the trees were very thoughtful. Tara and her husband are lovely and really accommodating whilst also being respectful of your privacy. Pub over the field is fab too. Would love to come back when the weather is better to enjoy the pool, tennis court and grounds. Great hosts and great property, highly recommend.

The cabin was small but stylish and comfortable, and certainly everything you need for a walking weekend. Beautiful and peaceful setting and amazing/very gracious hosts. A+++

  • The Old Cart Shed is exactly what we want for our trips to the Winchester area. The cottage is secluded in a country setting, with wildlife and beautiful countryside all around. The cottage is a wonderful old structure that has been lovingly updated and furnished with comfortable, homey touches. New this year is a washer/dryer combo! It is perfect for my sister and me to stay in a quiet space with good WiFi (so she can work), and close to family and hiking trails. Anna and Graham are the best hosts, quick to answer any questions, friendly and helpful with any travel issues we run into. The Old Cart Shed will always be our favorite place to stay - we absolutely love it!

    Stacy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at the Old Cart Shed. The house was really cosy and had everything we needed including a washing machine for our muddy clothes after a rainy walk! Anna was really responsive and helpful and had left us a lovely breakfast and lots of tips for the local area. We would definitely recommend it to others and hope to go back soon.

    Frances2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place! The Old Cart Shed is THE perfect place to stay whether for work or a holiday. Fabulously spacious, light and comfortable; you feel relaxed the minute you step inside. Anna and Graham are warm, convivial, very accommodating hosts who get the balance between privacy and hospitality just right. Everything is spotlessly clean and all amenities are provided; the most amazingly comfortable couch ever! loads of books, a big table to eat or work at, a roomy, light-filled bathroom with a super shower and a washing machine (such a bonus when you've been travelling for a while) and a cosy bedroom and extra sitting area/bedroom space upstairs. Anna added so many thoughtful provisions too. The cottage is in a great rural location, Winchester is just down the road and wonderful little villages are just a short drive away. As Storm Ciara raged outside, we were able to hunker down in the warm cosiness of this wonderful cottage; what a great place to be 'forced' to spend a day indoors. A special place indeed!

    Jane2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely place to stay. We were really impressed by Anna’s generosity with the food provided for the stay and the accommodation was beautiful

    Sian2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a lovely place for a quiet getaway or a base for local work. Set in an idyllic countryside location, but a short drive to Winchester, Southampton or surrounding areas, this is a spacious, comfortable, immaculately presented place to stay, and Anna had thought of absolutely everything, with all the facilities one could need, and a generous, well stocked welcome package for breakfasts, hot drinks, and little treats. I can't recommend this place enough, I had the most enjoyable stay, and I would definitely stay again. 10 out of 10!

    Stephen2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This barn conversion is the perfect place if you’re looking for an escape and a relaxing weekend away. There are so many welcoming touches and everything we could have needed and more was there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break away.

    Caron2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay! There is lots of space inside the barn and the cupboards are full of thoughtful extra touches !

    Gemma2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Cart Shed is a wonderful place to stay. It had so many little touches that made it perfect. The space was big and very clean. There was local tips to pubs and good country walks with mapped out public footpaths. We had a joyous new years break and plan to return in the summer to make use of their lovely lawn. This was a peaceful retreat for myself and my partner and we highly recommend staying here.

  • This is our second stay and we absolutely love it. The cottage is so homely and cosy and was the best place for our family trip. The facilities are great - exactly as described (and clean), check in easy and the location is perfect. The town is so cute with lovely walks and a village pub too. We all would highly recommend booking this place!

  • Really lovely place, cozy and sweet. We could walk to the local pub and small shop and go on sweet walks in the countryside. Highly recommended.

  • A beautiful home in a lovely peaceful village. Great place to use as a base to explore the local area. Check in was very easy. The house was clean and well equipped and I really felt at home. There is a lovely mature garden with a patio that gets the sun all day. There is lots of information including leaflets and books of local walks. I will definitely be returning.

  • Such a gorgeous and homely cottage. Cosy but by no means cramped. Nestled in a beautiful village it boasts wonderful views and the cottage itself has character and style. We loved cooking in the kitchen, playing in the garden with my daughter and snuggling up in the cosy living room. The large garden is an added bonus. The pictures don’t do it justice. Liz was lovely - so helpful before, during and after our stay. Would recommend to anyone. We spent each day at the Lord Thomas - wonderful little pub. Thanks liz! X

  • Lovely house, good garden space, ample parking for 2 cars. Very well kitted out with good quality facilities. Plenty of bedding, towels and well stocked with crockery and kitchen equipment. Highly recommend.

  • We had a wonderful 12 days at Liz’s cottage and would definitely return. The garden is very large and great for kids to explore, whilst the inside is well appointed and cosy. Liz was very responsive, helpful and flexible.

    Jim2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic. Lovely rustic cottage, warm welcoming fire, well appointed kitchen. Lovely personal touches - fabulous place.

    Daniel2018-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage, beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is fabulous with a large six seater table ideal for having guests over to dinner. The kitchen has everything you need. The lounge is cosy and warm. The bathroom is newly renovated and has a fabulous shower. The beds were very comfortable. There is a lovely garden which backs onto an open field. We had a lovely stay. Liz was very helpful and easily contactable. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cabins in picturesque village of West Meon, close to historic town of Petersfield, superb location for walkers & cyclists where you can enjoy the lovely 10-mile Meon valley railway line walk, or the 6.5 mile pilgrimage walk. The cabins are situated within the grounds of the wonderful Thomas Lord Inn where you can also enjoy the marvellous food they have to offer.
  • This is a great place to take a short break, very comfortable accommodation in a pretty Hampshire village within a short journey to Winchester and the south coast. The lodge is in the grounds of a historic country pub which serves tasty food with great service. The only negative for us was the breakfast was pricey at £9 each for egg on toast, cereal, tea and juice but would definitely stay again.

  • Food at Thomas Lord is exceptional

    Chris2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin exactly as described. Food at gastropub significantly better than anticipated. Simply outstanding - every meal from breakfast pastries to dinner where desserts were sublime.

    Chris2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. West Meon is a lovely village and a great place to base a trip to the South Downs. The pub itself is well presented and had great food and drink. The room was cosy and decorated to a high standard with all the facilities you need for a small trip. Great all round

    Alexander2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cute and cosy in the grounds of a lovely pub. Netflix on the TV was a great touch!

    Robyn2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely area and the cabins live up to expectations, worth the money!

    Charlotte2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This room was perfect for our one night get away. The real shining star is the food at the pub, it's divine! I would highly recommend booking dinner for the night you are there as it was fully booked. We went on a long walk the next day and were helped by the local farmers shop and the manager who was very friendly. We really loved this place and are definitely coming back. Thanks!

The Bach is detached and self-contained and located in the centre of Swanmore. If you are looking to explore the area, the South Downs National Park is on the boundary and the historic cities of Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth are within 25 mins drive. Nearby are several excellent pubs within a short walk. Just to let you know, the hot tub isn't available in 2020 and the Bach isn't suitable for babies, children and pets. Why not send an Enquiry if you have any specific requests.
The Bach is detached with a parking space and set immediately adjacent to our house and we have installed a number of features to ensure your privacy. The layout is fully open plan with a well equipped kitchen area - microwave, fridge, dishwasher, oven and hob. The lounge area has a wood burning stove and TV. Double doors open to your deck and steps lead to a shared Yurt with woodburning stove which you can use for relaxation or yoga. Stairs lead up to the bedroom with ensuite shower room. Please be aware that this is an eaves room so whilst there is full head room in the middle it slopes away on the sides and around the end of the bed. There is a fan and a heater and opening roof window. I have a beehive which you will be able to see from upstairs. Bees forage up to 2 miles from the hive so you won't notice more bees than normal in the garden. Please be aware, there are music events - Wickham Festival - 4 miles away (6th - 9th August) and Boomtown Fair - 10 miles away (12th-16th August) - which can sometimes be heard if the wind is in the right direction. As mentioned above it is not suitable for babies, children and pets. We advise sending an enquiry before you book if you have any specific requirements to avoid AirBnB cancellation fees.
Swanmore has a shop with post office and two pubs. The Brickmakers Pub is two minutes walk and offers very good food in a friendly local atmosphere. The small towns of Bishops Waltham and Wickham are both 2 or 3 miles away with a very good selection of cafe's and restaurants. The historic cities of Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton are all about 25mins drive. We are located in the Meon Valley with direct access to the South Downs National Park and the Hampshire Bowman Pub is a short country walk away. Please be aware that in August there are 3 festivals which might be heard at night - 14th July Moors Festival (2 miles away), 1st-3rd August Wickham Festival (4 miles away), 7th - 11th August Boomtown Fair (10 miles away).
  • Me and my husband stayed here for a few days , which was like finding a hidden gem as it was well located, immaculately clean, had everything you could need, so relaxing and comfortable so it was the perfect little getaway. Leanne was very quick to respond to any queries we had and to give us any little updates along the way. We would definitely come back again and would highly recommend it to others.

    Chris2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne’s place is perfect for a little escape. There is everything you could need and so many thoughtful touches.

  • We had a lovely weekend away at the NZ Bach. It was clean, bright and a very cosy stay. There were lots of nice added touches and you can see Leanne has thought of everything. Our only negative is there were lots of spiders which is not ideal but this did not impact that much on our stay.

    Annabelle2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay. Has thought of everything. Great place to come and relax away from the world. :)

    Lydia2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic time in the Bach, the property is beautifully furnished. Attention to detail through out, well designed, spacious, really homely feel. Located in quite affluent picturesque neighbourhood, comes with a hot tub which comes in handy for those romantic moments. It’s an Airbnb that lives to expectations and beyond. Leanne was very Accommodating, gave us clear instructions or getting to the property. Very quick to respond with any questions. I will definitely be visiting the Bach in near future.

The Artist's Cabin is in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the pretty market town of Alresford and the historic city of Winchester, right on the edge of the South Downs National Park. There's an acre of garden you can use plus a spacious sunny private wooden deck. The cabin has bright sunny rooms and comfy beds. Ideal for couples, small groups, solo travellers and business travellers.
The delightfully decorated wooden cabin is very cosy and warm in winter; whilst being spacious and bright in summer. The private deck is a real sun trap with shady areas and has numerous comfy outdoor sofas and a dining table and chairs.
The log cabin is on the edge of a small country village, down an unmade no-through road. It is very peaceful and set within an acre of garden with a beautiful woodland backdrop.
  • Wonderful stay. Gorgeous cabin- had everything we needed. Very cosy and warm on a chilly night. Very comfy beds, lovely and peaceful.

  • Had a lovely stay, felt warm cosy and relaxed. Lovely host would throughly recommend.

    Rodney2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very warm, the beds were very comfortable with great quality bedding and there were lovely thick towels too. The place is a reasonable size and very well equipped. We hope to go back in the summer.

  • A real gem of a place. So nice that I have returned! Beautiful setting , peaceful location, lots of nearby walks aswell as a walk down a bridle way for the dog right outside the house. The lodge has everything you need and Janie is on hand but at the same time there is total privacy. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

    Michele2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This property is an absolute gem. We have stayed at a lot of Airbnbs but none of them compare with what we experienced this time. We stayed here for two months while our house was being renovated. Even though the log cabin is on the small side, it had everything we needed and more. The cabin is beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the garden was serene. And the location is beautiful - the wind blowing through the trees and the sound of owls at night. Paul and Janie are a warm, welcoming couple; lovely hosts. Any problems were rectified immediately, not that there were many or anything of significance. And we were made to feel very much at home. We loved Pauls paintings in the cabin - they add to an overall calming atmosphere. He is an artist of rare talent and his scenes from the local woods and waterways really bring the location alive. We would love to come back if the opportunity arises again - and going back will feel like going back home and seeing good friends and that’s what makes this place and this lovely couple unique.

  • A beautifully decorated, cozy cabin located in the garden of the owner's house in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. Bedrooms a little on the small side but well equipped with everything you need (wardrobe/closet, desk, chair, night stands etc. Modern bathroom which was lovely and warm and well equipped kitchen (we missed having a dishwasher but ate out ever evening so not a big deal.) We weren't able to use the spacious entrance terrace due to the rainy weather but I'm sure having this area available during the summer months would make the cabin feel twice the size.

    Tania2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay lovely location and super accommodation

    Sallyann2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
