The Shepards Hut is a cosy gorgeous setting if you are after something different. As mentioned, it is small, so if you have many bags, they can be left in the car in the car space which is right next to the place. Being a Shepards Hut you have to dismantle the table in order to build the bed. It all takes 5mins and is very Go Go Gadget and easy to do. The place is spotlessly clean and modern. Unfortunately during my stay it was wet, windy and cold everyday (typical England) so I was unable to explore the lush open space that was available. But indoors I was toasty warm and comfortable.The welcome treats were very welcomed indeed. Amanda is an amazing host, very prompt with communication, very knowledgeable and goes beyond her duties of just being a host, she cares and seeks ways to make your stay in the region enjoyable, convenient and memorable.

A lovely little hut in quiet surroundings just outside of Winchester. They've really made the most of the available space and the bed is comfy and kitchen and bathroom have all you need. We were excited to find eggs, butter, bacon, home made granola and prosecco there to welcome us too. Although the hut is in the garden of the main house, it feels secluded and the view is great. We enjoyed watching the alpaca in the next field.

Had a lovely stay at this location, hosts were polite and easy to contact if needed! Clear travel instructions were given and the cabin itself was beautiful, with lots of nice little touches. Would recommend for a quiet weekend getaway :)

Amanda's shepherds hut is brilliant - my girlfriend and I stayed for a night to celebrate her birthday and it was perfect for a quick getaway. The space is cosy but cleverly laid out - all the mod cons. Amanda had left us some its and pieces in the fridge which was lovely and had turned on the heating in advance of our arrival. Would highly recommend.

What a superb stay. Amanda and her husband went above and beyond. Little touches of bread and milk and offering a lift into town made the whole experience so special. The hut was beautiful and felt very private. We enjoyed our breakfast on the decking out front and watching the llamas in the field. Very cosy and magical. Would highly reccomend ! Xx

We had a lovely stay at Amanda's place. A perfect spot to relax whilst also having the sights & activities in Winchester to keep busy when you want to be. We didn't see Amanda during our stay but the shepherds hut has been done very stylishly with some nice touches. Would definitely stay again...maybe in the summer to take advantage of pool and tennis court!

Fantastic little Airbnb. Amanda really has made the most of the small space. Lots of lovely little touches, she's thought of everything. Well located a 5 minute drive from Winchester and even closer to some nice walks. We were kindly given a lift into Winchester when we arrived, otherwise you'd either need to drive or get a cab, Uber worked quite well for us but you do need to give clear instructions. Good shower, bed, living space and kitchenette. Perfect for a long weekend.

We had a lovely two nights stay at Amanda's place. Very quiet and peaceful. The place was just beautiful and so cosy! We also popped into Winchester for the day. Amanda's place was about 10mins away from the park and ride. A really lovely place to stay to get away from it all. Thank you very much!

Great place to stay for an overnight - cosy, nicely furnished and well equipped. We appreciated the little touches - bacon and eggs provided for breakfast, and a lovely arrangement of spring flowers in a vase. Would recommend.

We stayed at The Stable for a winter weekend. The place was immaculately clean and so cosy and warm!! Everything in the place was great quality - Denby plates, crisp white bedding, feather duvet and pillows, comfy bed, just delightful!! Amanda had also left a bottle of wine in the fridge, M&S finest bacon, eggs, milk, bread, butter!!! Such a thoughtful touch! There was also a very well stocked tea and coffee tray! Amanda has the right balance of 'being there' and 'not being there' - non intrusive but also helpful if we needed it - she even offered to give us a lift into Winchester but we decided to stay 'home' and enjoy the Stable. We really couldn't have asked for a better stay - would definitely like to stay again.

A beautiful home and very warm and hospitable hosts. I had the ensuite room which faces west with a view over the fields. The other slightly larger room faces east over the garden and has a bathroom, with bath, next to it. Emma and Al left out a huge array of tasty breakfast food, and made me tea whenever I wanted it. There are fabulous hill/Downs walks a short drive away. At the moment the scaffolding is the best way to spot the house. Loved the whole experience.

The most gorgeous home, impeccably clean with welcoming hosts who couldn’t do enough and made great recommendations for things in the area. I most certainly will be returning!

Thankyou for an amazing stay even though it was only for one night I could not fault a thing again simply amazing.

Very nice accommodation and superb value. No TV but good WiFi so easy to use iPlayer etc. Lots of nice touches tea and coffee facilities, fridge and microwave so for the money exceptional.

Lovely little space and just what we needed for our short trip away. Communication with the host was great. Would love to there again if we find ourselves in that neck of the woods.

I have stayed at Sing’s quite a few times. It’s a fantastic little hideaway. Always sparkling clean & tidy. It’s quiet. Sing is absolutely lovely & a joy to chat to. Thanks Sing - I’ll be back again soon.

A fabulous space. Comfortable en suite room with its own entrance for total privacy. Sing was available to answer any queries. The room is large, well decorated, meticulously clean and the en suite bathroom was modern and very clean. Can’t recommend it more highly.

Super modern space with plenty of walks from the doorstep. Marian was extremely speedy with communication and offered lots of suggestions for local spas when asked. She also left some lovely cookies and gin which were much appreciated! The log burner was fantastic as we shut ourselves away to hide from Storm Ciara. Bathroom very modern and great shower. Large, comfy bed with plenty of storage space. Microwave oven super handy for any cooking, plus induction hob. Oil/salt/pepper provided, plus some orange juice and milk. Note bathroom is not ensuite but through the kitchen/living room. Had a very relaxing stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. There is a wonderful pub in the village that we were able to walk to. Winchester is really close as well - and returning to the Woodcote Barn was really something we'd look forward to at the end of each day. Everything about it is so thoughtful, it seemed like there was always another detail we hadn't noticed. Highly recommended!

We are so pleased we chose the Stables for our first experience using Airbnb, Marian and Justin were incredibly helpful and the property was charming, cosy and clean with everything we needed. The location is beautiful and peaceful and it was the perfect place from which to explore Winchester and enjoy walks in the local countryside. We would love to stay again.

The Stables is a lovely property in a great location. We stayed in January and it was so cosy and a great place to come back to after a day out. As mentioned by others it is very clean, well equipped and Marian has worked hard to think of everything with some thoughtful touches.

Just returned from a lovely long weekend at The Stables. The space is thoughtfully arranged and super cosy, it has everything needed for a quiet getaway. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and pots pans etc so everything you need for nights in, and if you don't feel like cooking, the village pub nearby is great! There are books and DVD's on the shelves to entertain while sitting by the log burner. Loads of beautiful walks in the area and there is a detailed guidebook in the stables with tips and walks you can go on. The cookies and gin were a lovely welcome touch (though we were doing dry Jan, but I'm sure the gin was delicious!) . Marian and Justin are great hosts and were very communicative through the whole process, helping me with taxi numbers and weather tips. Thanks again for having us!

We stayd a week at Marians beautiful place and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. It was clean, cosy and the bed sheets where wonderful soft. A beautiful bathroom, nice kitchen and livingroom. Very thoughtful details when we arrived made us feel welcome. Also Marian and her husband are very friendly. We would absolutely recomend it to everybody who looks for a quiet place on the countryside with short distance to several excursions.

Such a lovely little place. Marian had put out lovely christmas decorations and left some delicious gin and mince pies. Amazing local area and an easy journey to Winchester. We love this place and love to keep exploring the area. We will definitely be returning again. Thanks Marian!

A lovley place to stay. Farm/stud environment. Bedroom is spacious, clean and lovely and warm (in December). Bathroom is immaculate, lovley hot power shower. Communal kitchen, perfect for cooking dinner but also lovley places to eat near by. I stayed 2 weeks, sad to leave. Will be staying again at some point. Cant rate this place highly enough. Was perfect for me.

Cathy was a delightful host and the room and en suite were beautiful. We enjoyed her eggs for breakfast and the conversations around the table. She was really kind - even offering to clean up our dog's sick! There is no parking outside the house but we had no problems getting a spot on the road. We would certainly use her again.

Charming cottage that's roomier than it looks, plenty of space for two people! Very well placed to enjoy the South Downs near Winchester, with easy access to lots of local walking routes. The Ship Inn in Owslebury is within walking distance and does fantastic roasts, worth a visit.

Lovely space and the little touches are excellent....the hosts left us bread jams and croissants for breakfast, rock salt and ketchup and those sorts of things...only downside was the WiFi...lots of problems and we couldn’t stream a film which was a little disappointing after choosing one over dinner...

I spent a great 2 nights at Paulene's accommodation. The photos gave me a good insight as to what could be expected, and I wasn't disappointed. Modern and spotless, together with a great, quiet location, but within close proximity of a number of franchised eateries, made for a restful stay. Although I did not get the pleasure of meeting Paulene (and Dudley the pooch), she was a great host who provided me with very accurate details regarding directions and the check in process. Nothing was too much trouble! Highly recommend this accommodation.

Paulene's place is exactly as described, the bed and bedroom are very comfortable and clean, as is the adjacent bathroom for guest's sole use. There is also a very nice loungeroom for guests on the same floor. I appreciated use of the kitchen and would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. I especially liked the quiet and privacy of the accommodation. The nearest Tesco and / or restaurants are about 10 minutes walk away. I didn't use public transport so can't comment on this.

This is a super upstairs flat right on the doorstep of the village. Well appointed and clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hosts are super nice and were very responsive when we had a problem with the heaters. The flat is up a flight of stairs and the bedrooms are up another flight of stairs so we got plenty of good exercise!!!

We spent a lovely few days at David’s, catching up with friends in the area. It was very central to BW, amongst interesting shops, cafes and nail bars! Great pub walks around too. The flat was cosy and comfortable, nice looking, everything we needed, good WiFi and TV, and decent kitchen. Shelley was amazing, helpful and friendly.

David’s Place was perfect for our one night stay. The apartment had everything you would need for a great stay and the communication from Shelley was excellent. She even went to the trouble of setting the heating for our arrival so it was warm and cosy for our arrival. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook next time we are in the area.

Monika’s place is exactly as advertised and was perfect for our short stay. Richard and Monika were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It was kind of them to let us check out a little later too. The flat was very clean and the welcome tray was lovely. You can join South Downs walks from the village. The local pub, The Shoe, had a great atmosphere; you would need to book for a weekend. Thank you.

A little gem of a cottage in Twyford! The bus to Winchester stops just up the road which is great for getting in and out of the city. The cottage has everything you could want with some lovely extra touches including fresh flowers, kindling and wood for the log burner and basics in the kitchen/fridge. Would highly recommend.

Couldn't have been better. Storybook home, right out of a magazine. Jennifer couldn't have been sweeter too, especially accepting our booking 20 minutes before we arrived. Our room and private bath were exception. Better than we could have hoped for. The grounds and view from our bedroom were just stunning, the bed was ultra-comfortable, the bathroom and shower were impeccable, the WiFi speed was terrific, and the breakfast was terrific... a very special stay for us. 100% recommended!

Well what can I say?! From the moment we booked this on the site the communication was amazing & it made us so excited to finally get there! Toby is an amazing host. He greeted us so warmly on our arrival & explained everything in great detail about how the accommodation worked. He was such an attentive host while at the same time allowing us the space and freedom to carry on to do our own thing as planned. The farm on which the barn is situated is BEAUTIFUL. Horses running around in the fields and miles and miles of rolling fields. It truly was such a beautiful site with seclusion and privacy away from the main farm house where the hosts live. The barn was so cute. It was immaculately clean with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Toby had even added a personal touch of croissants, bread, cereal, milk, jams, teas and coffees which was lovely. We were also allowed a later checkout which was fantastic. My husband, myself and my 2 friends had such an amazing New Year’s stay at this location & we will be back again without a shadow of a doubt!

I can’t speak highly enough about this place. Toby and Wendy are really nice people, easy to talk to, very accommodating and eager to please. The accommodation is brand new and to a very high spec, together with the thoughtful touches adds up to a great place to stay

Lovely place to stay, and very accommodating hosts when we had an awkward schedule. Bed and bedding very comfy, must have been a kingsize I think. Breakfast and cooking items were a fantastic extra touch. Will be returning again for sure.

This location is so tranquil for a retreat weekend away, it exceeded our expectations for value for money. The surround fields with horses made it a perfect setting. The place was clean, had all the amenities we need to cook if we wished. It was easy driving distance to Winchester city centre which was perfect for us. The hosts were very accommodating, looked after us with breakfast treats and were very quick to respond. Thanks for a lovely stay Toby. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to revisit myself.

Diana was a lovely, thoughtful and welcoming host. Not only was the place beautiful and luxurious, but Diana was more than helpful and went above and beyond. Can’t recommend enough!

Great room, brilliant host. Beds were comfortable, shower was great and the area felt lovely but comfortable. Diana offered some great tips for where to go and was on hand when we needed help.

I would highly recommend Diana's beautiful home! Incredibly clean, beautiful, well decorated home in a wonderful location with spectacular views. The host left us a little welcome basket for breakfast which made us feel very welcome and her communication throughout was very helpful. A perfect retreat away from City madness! The home has absolutely everything you will need to have an enjoyable, welcoming and warm stay. Diana is a lovely host and went the extra mile in making us feel comfortable. There are plenty of walking options and Winchester is only a ten minute drive away. The decor is amazing, the bed is heavenly and the shower is incredible too!

Diana was a lovely host - we were met with a warm welcome and fresh bits for breakfast (best bread ever). The house was wonderful, clean, bright and quirky. The bed is unbelievable, all of the amenities were great quality and as my boyfriend and I were there for nearly a week, it felt like home. I would 100% recommend this place, it was a real pleasure bringing in 2020 in this lovely place. The area itself is lovely, great walks, pubs, scenery (most recommended by Diana) - would love to come back in the summer. There is also a great book in the air bnb with guests walks and recommendations which we wrote lots in! Thank you for everything Diana!

Had an outstanding stay at this adorable stable. The place was so clean and cozy, perfect for a little weekend away for 2! Lovely touches like breakfast in the fridge and lovely candles everywhere. Grounds are lovely for walks and great location near local villages. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Perfect size for a couple, fully stocked kitchen with bacon and eggs in the fridge (lovely touch). Bed is addictively comfy and when you do prize yourself away from it there’s always the tennis court and swimming pool in garden to keep you entertained (all equipment provided). As a host I got the impression Amanda would do anything for you yet was equally great at just leaving us to it. Will be coming back and highly recommend!

Expect an amazing nights sleep in the quaintest b&b I’ve seen. Amanda’s place is stylish, relaxing, beautifully peaceful and spotless. I booked for a weekend away by myself and can’t wait to return, just for the sake of it!

Beautiful stay,really relaxing, clean,top quality used in everything, 👌really comfortable bed.we played tennis and had a swim and that's in October!cant recommend enough, we definitely will come back. We stayed at the stables for our first wedding anniversary, combined with our 30th Birthdays. The whole place was stunning, inside and out - including the view of their property which was out of this world. Amanda and her family were extremely accommodating - to giving us lifts, and tips of where to go on walks - but also where to go for a bite to eat or for cocktails. We would definitely book back here for a weekend break! Thank you so much again for everything!

A real gem of a place. We stayed to visit Goodwood on Sunday and chill on Saturday, which we did sun bathing and swimming in the pool. The best equipped place we have stayed at with a well stocked fridge for breakfast. Lovely friendly dogs. Would gladly stay again.

Just spent two nights in this wonderful accommodation. It’s bijou, but has absolutely everything you’d need. Lovely touches, such as the breakfast pack and toiletries made it so easy to just turn up and get our break started! Communication was always super fast and easy. Genuinely can’t recommend this place highly enough.

A beautiful location and a very stylish space. The upstairs room added a great deal of versatility to the accommodation.

Tony’s and Wendy’s place was amazing. It was so clean, lovely and relaxing and in the perfect location for our trip. We can’t wait to come back!!

Nettlebed Farm is so peaceful and has a beautiful setting. You can sit outside and hear the stream trickle by and watch the horses run around the fields. The cabin itself is stunning and too say Toby & Wendy built them (3) is truly remarkable. They are warm and cosy with everything inside you could want. I can honestly recommend Nettlebed Farm to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic host and place and a lovely breakfast

Sian was quite frankly the most helpful host I have ever come across. She was so kind and generous, picked us up off the South Downs way and dropped us back. She helped us with drying our sodden clothes and was an all round star. The room was lovely and cosy with all that you could need. Would highly recommend Sians place as somewhere to stay.

PERFECTION! We have just got home from having such a lovely weekend at the Beech Hut. No words or pictures will do it justice was so lovely. The attention to detail in the hut the cleanliness the hospitality was exceptional. The local area for was perfect for long dog walks. Definitely recommend.

The Beech hut was fantastic. Mandy was so welcoming and accommodating and we loved the small touches left in the room. The breakfast was ample and we were not expecting so much food it was a great surprise. Staying at the beech hut added to an already lovely weekend getaway.

Lovely and cosy and delightfully presented cottage. And dog friendly! Excellent location with views of the forest. Lots of things to do nearby such as country walks, traditional pubs, and stargazing. Excellent breakfast and tea and coffee station.

Lily's place is indeed a unique and rare finding on the area! The place is sparkling clean and has all the amenities required! Lily will provide you with all the information you might need while not being in your way. High responsive and super friendly! Highly recommended!!!

Lily is very welcoming, kind and discreet. She was caring for my daughter and me. The accommodation is ideally located, quiet and very clean. We loved sleeping under the skylight. The english breakfast recommended by Lily was perfect. We will definitely be back ....

Lily is a wonderful host and her space is beautifully presented and spacious. The location is great as it’s close to the Main Street of Bishop’s Waltham. The space is clean and has all amenities you need. It’s a real gem!

The little garden cottage of Lilli was lovely! There is a great bathroom and kitchen. The City Centre around is great to chill out and have a beer in a pub.

Wonderful place to stay in the Downs. Great view in the morning over a vineyard and the place comes with a great fireplace too.

A delightful place to stay. The South Downs Way runs right past the front door (perfect for short walks, hiking or trail running). The views of the hills and vineyards are just stunning. It was so quiet and peaceful but good amenities in the village. We loved how dark it was at night. The accommodation was stylish and spotlessly clean. The wood burning stove was very cosy. Pat is a delightful host and a really kind lady. This place hugely exceeded our expectations and is very highly recommended.

Ideal place to stay while walking the South Downs Way! The path was right outside and the barn was so comfortable. Pat was a wonderful host and gave us a warm welcome, and it was the perfect place for two tired walkers to rest. We had dinner at the local pub (The Shoe Inn) which was delicious. Thanks Pat, we’ll recommend to all our friends!

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful location and the Den was a perfect place for a weekend getaway.

The Den is a charming, warm and cozy place to stay. The setting is beautiful, whether it’s for a trip to Winchester Christmas Market or a walk on the South Downs, you can’t go wrong here. Finished to a high standard and with everything you need, we can’t fault it and are considering a return in the future. Pat is a great host too, very friendly and welcoming but not intrusive in the slightest. Throughly pleased with our trip, this really is a great place for a weekend getaway!

Pat made us feel very welcome and showed us round the barn and explained where everything was. We had a very enjoyable stay. The description of the barn on airbnb is spot on. Pat also kindly advised us at the time of booking to reserve a table at the local pub if we want to eat there as it is very popular. Would definitely stay here again

Pauline is a genuinely warm and caring host. My room was very comfortable and I was very well looked after. I don't like to stay away from home as I experience anxiety issues but Pauline made me feel like I was at home. Truly, thank you so much.
