open for NHS key workers only. Bright and airy garden room with a Scandinavian feel. A sunny morning terrace with table and chairs.
The studio was formerly an art studio and there are even some pictures on the walls that were painted in it. It is a good size space even with the sofa bed down in bed position. It has a little patio which get the sun in the mornings and is ideal for breakfast or lunch outdoors. The sofa bed is a standard double size, but very long. It has a mattress topper to ensure a good night's sleep. The Studio is ideal for walkers with their dogs; you can go through a gate in the garden into the National Trust field surrounding the property and walk up the Dene or go to the woods or downs. It is also perfect for cyclists as we are just off the popular National Cycle Route 45, and there is a shed to lock bikes in. It's a lovely, light space with big windows on all sides and black out curtains to keep the light out while sleeping.
The Lockeridge Dene is a conservation area. The land surrounding the property is owned by the National Trust and is of interest because the Sarcen stones lying in the field were used to make the nearby Avebury Neolithic Stone Circle. We are located on the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in this charming village with its stone and thatch cottages. There is a pub in the village which serves good food and local real ale. Just up a track by the house are the West Woods with amazing bluebells in late April/early May, they are a real treat to see and smell. The edge of the Downs are fantastic for walking with the Ridgeway and Wansdyke located about 2 miles away. There is a good riding stables in Stanton St Bernard and you can go riding out on the downs from there. The National Cycle Route 45 is on the doorstep for cycling enthusiasts. In addition there are many Neolithic site such as Avebury Stone Cirlce, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Borrow 3 miles away, and Stonehenge 20 miles away. Bath is about a 50 minute drive. It has the Roman Baths, The Holbein Museum, The Pump Rooms, the Costume Museum, and if relaxing is more your thing there is the Bath Spa with its natural thermal water.
  • Staying in Jessica's garden Chalet was a beautiful, cosy, snug experience. We used it as a perfect base to visit the Avebury sites and Marlborough and some local walks - all within 5 to 10 mins drive. Beautiful location in a valley on the edge of the village. Even the lack of mobile signal adds to the charm. We will definitely come back here for further visits. Thank you Jessica and your very beautiful sensitive loving dogs

My house is situated on a quite estate in the village of Ludgershall - Not a beautiful chocolate box village, but it is a convenient place to stay especially if you are not a fan of narrow winding lanes! However country lanes are but a stones throw away to lead you to some very pretty villages. I would describe my home as open to all who want a country break without being in the middle of nowhere or a Monday to Friday resting place with easy access to Tidworth, Perham Down or Andover.
The bedroom is on the first floor and there is a bathroom on the same floor for sole use of guests - I have a double room also The room has a 3ft bed and is north facing but still quite light, comfortable and adequately furnished, There is no television in this room, however there is an excellent Wifi connection so no problem watching programmes on a laptop/tablet/phone Towels are provided
My house is at the end of a cul-de-sac next to farmland with a footpath right behind the fence and woods just a few minutes away with options for short or long walks. Ludgershall has a church, two pubs, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a couple of take-aways and two supermarkets. It is 8 miles from the market town of Andover which has several restaurants, pubs and a cinema. The historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury are 45mins and 30mins drive respectively from Ludgershall and the charming towns of Marlborough, Stockbridge and Hungerford are about a 30mins drive away. The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is approx 15 miles from the house and the Neolithic Avebury stone circles are 16 miles away. Further afield are Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight
  • Sarah is a lovely host, very helpful, up for a chat but also willing to leave you to yourself. Nice little room, exactly as expected, few minutes walk from busstop. I had a wonderful stay.

  • Hanyan&Lee’s place was cute, charming, and extremely clean. It was very conveniently located near Stonehenge in a small village. They provided us with a book recommending local attractions. They responded ultra-fast — we booked day-of due to a change in travel plans and they were ready for us ASAP. I am so thankful! The bathroom even has a heated towel rack, the bed is comfy, and the garden is cute. The room is entirely private. Would highly recommend!

  • Really nice place; good location esp for Stonehenge ;0) fast and accurate communication. Thank you Hanyan

    Miriam2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place and ideally located for my needs, great ‘comms’ with Hanyan & Lee. Couple of things which could be an issue, due to the positioning of the toilet, the shower door only opens half way, so if your fairly wide then getting in might be an issue, the other is sound proofing, or lack off, however this is highlighted. Great value for money......

    Ken2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Krystyna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I came in sort of last minute after exploring the Jurassic Coast and deciding to visit Stonehenge. I requested to book thinking that it may take a while for a response which isn't the best thing when you're traveling in rapid style. I was pleased that Hanyan responded nearly right away I requested my booking! She wanted to make sure I would be okay with them having little ones in the house as there would be a bit of noise from them, which I found very thoughtful and accommodating. The is perfect and quaint, the room has a private entrance in the rear of the house and a wall is shared between you and their living area, which is not a problem at all. I arrived late so Lee had even had the door unlocked for me already so I wouldn't have to fumble to get in with the keypad because it was dark, very thoughtful. It was a great, comfortable space with a nice big desk, a clean and comfortable bed with outlets right beside it, and a nice bathroom and shower with a great hot water supply. Hanyan was extremely accommodating making sure everything was fine with my stay, she's a very nice woman and I rather enjoyed listening to the kids play at times on the other side of the wall. They have a great backyard which the room opens directly into. I had a great stay for the night! The location in proximity to Stonehenge is great and also a perfect location to get to Salisbury to explore the Cathedral and the Medieval Towne. I highly recommend Hanyan and Lee's place!

There is an area behind the cottage for bike storage. There are lovely views of the River Avon and walking distance to the village pub.
Enford allows unparalled access to Salisbury Plain with all the benefits it brings if you like cycling and dog walking. There is a golf course within 4 miles at Upavon, and Salisbury and Marlborough are both 12 miles away. 10 minutes west is the Ancient Monument of Stonehenge a world heritage site and Avebury Stones and Bowood House beyond. Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals are not far and both offer an incredible insight into the history of our country. Tours to any of the local sights can be arranged locally with a delicious lunch included.
Stonehenge is 10 minutes away and has a lovely cafe on site. There is a pub in the village within a 2 min walk and 1 mile away another with a Michelin star. The World Heritage site of Stonehenge is 10 minutes and Marlborough and Salisbury within a 12 mile drive.
  • An extremely comfortable, clean & cozy dog friendly Cottage in the quiet village of Enford. Situation perfect for lovely walks with or without dogs! We found the local pub just along the road, very welcoming and good food.

  • We had an amazing stay at Stable Cottage! The cottage is beautiful, with lots of thoughtful touches. The well stocked kitchen was a great surprise, and the bedroom and en-suite were beautiful and so comfortable. Olivia was a great host and was on hand to offer any help with the local area. We will 100% return. Would recommend the local pubs for some delicious meals, both an easy walk from the cottage. xx

  • Beautiful, picturesque cottage in a lovely location. The cottage is incredibly well-appointed, with every amenity you need. It’s all done in a fresh, stylish way. A lovely and unexpected addition was breakfast supplies, including fruit, yoghurt, eggs, etc, which basically made this a real B&B. Really was a nice touch. Also the access through the private gate was nice as well. Loved the location, with a couple of great pubs/restaurants very close by. The food at the Red Lion was particularly good! Was also great for our dog, with thousands of acres of land for walks. Highly recommend. Fantastic place and excellent value for money. Will certainly be coming back.

  • A brilliant weekend getaway. Super comfortable, impeccably equipped cottage with a lovely, welcoming host and lots of generous touches.

  • We had a lovely relaxing time at the cottage. There were lovely little thoughtful touches everywhere. The walks with the dog were fantastic in such a beautiful area. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve been in and it made getting up a real chore. The local pub was really friendly and welcoming. The food isn’t fancy, but it’s done extremely well. Their homemade rice pudding is to die for.

    Alan2018-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • A truly lovely cottage with lots of personal touches. Highly recommend

    Sam2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. The cottage was well appointed, with everything you could need to make your trip home from home. Olivia was kind enough to allow us to bring our boisterous dog, which made a short escape from London possible. Perfectly positioned for visiting the Downs, Salisbury and Winchester, whilst also offering a nice local pub in the village and The Red Lion gastro pub in the neighbouring village. Highly recommended.

The cottage is compact but plenty of room for two with everything we needed. Comfortable beds and a good shower. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive.

The (self-contained) Bothy is a separate studio annexe away from the main family house. We provide a microwave but don't have full cooking facilities. The Bothy is cosy and is on the small side if three adults are sharing. We are a family who love to welcome people into our home and enjoy sharing our garden. Stonehenge World Heritage Site and right on the top of Iron Age hill fort, Vespasian's camp. Stonehenge is 5 mins drive. Amesbury is a short walk away with several shops and restaurants.
The Bothy consists of a bedroom with a double bed, a sitting room with pull out sofa bed (please let me know in advance if you would like to use this) and a bathroom with a shower. We have tried to make it ‘home from home’ rather than a hotel. We welcome children if they are happy to sleep on the sofa bed or a travel cot (we ask you to bring your own) can be set up in the sitting room, although space maybe tight. Please let me know if you would like to use the sofa bed. It is cosy with three adults staying. There is high speed wifi for people who need to stay for business and a table to work at. I have provided a Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and small fridge. I also provide a very simple breakfast - toast, butter, jam, marmalade, cereal, milk, tea and coffee. If you want a full English breakfast I can highly recommend Friar Tuck cafe in Amesbury.
Amesbury and the surrounding area has so much to offer - Shops, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets are a short walk away. Salisbury and District Angling club has fishing on the river at the end of the garden which can be accessed five minutes walk away. Many historical sights are within easy access from our house.
  • A great place to stay - really friendly hosts who were very helpful & made it a lovely stay for us. The bothy was perfect for the three of us staying overnight & in a great location. Would definitely come back for another stay!

We enjoyed the cozy and warm atmosphere, even spent some time in the garden watching the sky at night. Beautiful! Good vibes!

  • A beautifully located little cottage, perfect for myself, my husband, baby son and dog. Next door to the local shop which was so convenient and a short walk to the local pub which was lovely! We took the short drive to Stonehenge and Salisbury too. Hanyan came and greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed, and made sure check in and out was easy! Thank you 😊

  • Accommodation was perfect, suited my needs, just a shame my stay was so short! Everything you need is available and the cottage is very cosy given the poor weather we had during my stay. The pictures don't do it justice and I loved the en suite, layout is outstanding! Communication and checking in instructions were spot on. Plenty of local information supplied, Hanyan and Lee have literally thought of everything, thank you so much, I will return in the future.

  • The Wee Croft is small but perfectly formed. We had everything we needed for a NYE and Birthday trip away. The furnishings are modern country cottage style. The accommodation was clean and in a great location to walk into town/the canal tow path for walks. Devizes is a friendly town, relaxed on NYE with free entry to many venues and with so many pubs to choose from, you won’t have to queue to get in or at the bar! Great time had by all. Will recommend to family and friends. Thank you for having us Katie and Neil.

Nestled in the back garden of our 15th Century Cottage in a rural village, at the end of a no-through road, guests are assured of a peaceful and quiet stay. Yet with Devizes just 3 miles away, you are close enough to enjoy the bustle of this Market Town and its many interesting Coffee Shops, Restaurants and Pubs. We are situated on the edge of the Pewsey Vale and within easy access of Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Marlborough.
The Annex has a king size bed, an en suite shower and toilet, a small fridge, a microwave and tea and coffee facilities. Milk will be in the fridge as well as some homemade biscuits and bananas. As there is no separate kitchen and dish washing facilities are limited to the hand basin in the bathroom, we suggest that any crockery and cutlery used (especially if you are here for a few days) is left on the table outside. I will run it through my dishwasher and return it to you by the evening.
Etchilhampton is a small rural village. There is a Community Shop and a Pub in All Cannings which is two miles away. Devizes which is a Market Town is three miles away.
  • A lovely place, cosy and clean and well equipped. A place where you feel at ease. Many details reflect her diligent eye for detail (come and discover!). A very unique view at garden and parc! Oh, that countryside.

My house is situated on a quiet estate in the village of Ludgershall on the Wiltshire/Hampshire boarder. Sadly it is not a beautiful chocolate box village, but it is a convenient place to stay especially if you are not a fan of narrow winding lanes! However if you are a fan, country lanes are but a stones throw away and always lead to pretty villages which often boast a nice inviting cosy pub. I would describe my home as open to all who want a country break without being in the middle of nowhere
The bedroom is on the first floor and there is a bathroom on the same floor for sole use unless there is a guest in the single room also. The double room has a 4ft6inch bed and is north facing but still quite light, comfortable and adequately furnished, There is a television in the bedroom and Wifi access throughout the house Towels are provided
My house is at the end of a cul-de-sac next to farmland with a footpath right behind the fence and woods just a few minutes away with options for short or long walks. Ludgershall has a church, two pubs, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a couple of take-aways, supermarkets. It is 8 miles from the market town of Andover which has several restaurants, pubs and a cinema. The historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury are 45mins and 30mins drive respectively from Ludgershall and the charming towns of Marlborough and Hungerford are also about a 30mins drive away. The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is approx 15 miles from the house and the Neolithic Avebury stone circles are 16 miles away. Further afield are Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight
  • Lovely accommodation, excellent hospitality.

  • I stayed at Sarah’s place because it’s located near to the business park I was working at for a couple of days. Double room was comfortable and clean with TV and desk. Shared bathroom on the landing was also clean and shower was good. Sarah was kind and let me use her stove to cook porridge for breakfast and an evening meal. Grocery stores are only a 5 minutes walk away through a short-cut passage to the main road where the bus stop is. Sarah is kind and welcoming and happy to chat to her guests.

Her home is cozy and clean, she provides everything I needed just like my own home. I had very nice and interesting conversations with Sarah, the house is always quiet, I had a very good three weeks of rest. Staying at Sarah’s home definitely made my trip more interesting and easy, i hope I’ll have chance to visit again.

  • We had a great stay! The communication was great and was given simple and detailed directions. The welcome pack / breakfast - included local fresh bread, a lovely touch that created a memory. Comfortable bed and accommodation. Super cosy! Beautifully thought out ... We received a warm welcome and were given so much privacy, which we appreciated. Our dog was welcome, which we very much appreciated. I would highly recommend. Thank you so much!

  • Very convenient base for visiting Stonehenge and also Avebury and Old Sarum near Salisbury. Easy check-in and friendly helpful hosts. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, just take care not to bump head on sloping ceilings and take quick showers. For people with mobility issues the steep access stairs would not be suitable. A lovely breakfast hamper was provided with homemade bread which was a lovely thoughtful touch. No TV signal but a good selection of DVDs to relax with on a winter evening. We ate one night at The Boot Inn in Bewick St James about 10 minutes away, the food was good and fairly priced. The pub was very quiet on the evening we ate there but that might have been due to the imminent arrival of storm Ciara. Would stay again if visiting the area.

  • Lovely, clean and well laid out accommodation for our weekend visit to Stonehenge ( only a few minutes drive away) and Salisbury. The communication with Fiona was great and she provided clear instruction on how to get to the house and check in which made it very easy. We appreciated the extra touches of homemade fresh bread and the offer for a late check out for a Sunday lie in. Would highly recommend!

Castle Grounds House is a family home quietly located down a private lane, overlooking the Castle Grounds and within a minute's walk of the Market Place. This is a spacious double room with en suite bathroom with handheld shower, Wifi, tv and Tea/coffee facilities and trouser press.
A large, King Sized bed with proper feather pillows, and crisp cotton bedlinen await you. The room has an en suite bathroom with a bath and hand held shower. With an eclectic mix of furniture the room is a good size and very comfortable - we have tried to provide all the bits and pieces you may require for your stay including a hair dryer and an assortment of basic toiletries. Despite being a stone's throw from the Market Place, we are located on the escarpment overlooking the valley to the south and so you can expect a peaceful night with only the birdsong to disturb you in the morning.
Our home is a minute's walk from Devizes Market Place, and yet it is tucked away from the bustle of the High Street at the end of a quiet lane overlooking the Castle Grounds. There are many and varied restaurants and pubs within walking distance, as well as a cinema. There are good bus connections to train stations as well as to local attractions such as Avebury, Stone Henge, Marlborough, Bath etc.
  • Fabulous place, stunning in every respect, was like being in a 5 star hotel, excellent.

Thank you for taking time to discover more about The Tiny Barn, a self-contained studio set in rural Wiltshire. The Tiny Barn is newly refurbished and believed to have been built originally as a gardener’s bothy and store. The Tiny Barn is a cosy, open plan studio with ample natural light and high quality finishes and fittings making this a comfortable and perfect location for couples or a single traveller to enjoy what Wiltshire has to offer.
The Tiny Barn has a kitchenette with a two ring hob, built in larder fridge and a combination microwave (includes grill and convection). There is a gas-fired combi boiler providing heating and hot water. The TV is a ‘smart’ TV. The WiFi is dedicated to The Tiny Barn and has no data restriction. There is a dual USB charging socket. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided as well as bathroom toiletries. One side of the full size double bed is against a wall. There is a separate WC with basin. The compact shower, approximately 600mm square, is tucked away round a corner and is open to the studio’s sleeping and living areas. Parking is located immediately outside the studio. The Tiny Barn does not have its own dedicated/private outside space but there is a bench to relax on from where to enjoy the surroundings and the wonderful view.
Studley is a small hamlet with stunning views over rural Wiltshire. There are three pubs/restaurants locally, all walking distance. Bowood House, the stately home with Capability Brown-designed grounds and also with hotel/spa and golf club, is very close, either by a short drive or a longer walk. The Sustrans NCR4 is a short walk or cycle ride away. Avebury and Lacock are a short drive away. Bath is quite close, easy to drive or a 11 minute train journey from Chippenham.
  • Absolutely loved our stay at the tiny barn, the use of space is ingenious and the thoughtful finishing touches ensure you get a little bit of luxury in this home away from home. Fantasic location, within walking distance of a lovely local pub, plus easy drive into Bath, the Cotswalds or the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. We would definitely stay again!

    Lisa2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • The little barn is a lovely comfy clean space. Very nice location and well furnished. Exactly as described thank you very much

    Brett2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely place. It doesn't feel small inside and has everything you could need. Really quite, private and lots of little touches that make it even nicer! If you are a bigger person, the shower cubicle might be a bit tricky as it is quite small. Other than that, gorgeous!

    Abigail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication with local advice as booked at the last minute. The barn was a great space, extremely quiet, clean and comfortable and was a great location for Bath and the surrounding areas. Great value for money and would stay again if in the area.

    Dean2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny but awesome! The owners have managed to pack all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay in a small footprint. The space was immaculately presented, and precisely as described. The communications with Nicky & Mark were very quick, and they were extremely accommodating. Very highly recommended.

    Paul2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful tiny house to stay in! The Tiny Barn is nestled in the countryside with stunning views over the fields. Despite its small size, the Tiny Barn has all the mod cons anyone would need for a short stay. It was perfect for our work trip with only a 10 min drive to Calne. I would recommend staying here. Also the local Nepalese/Indian restaurant is fantastic!

    Pilyn2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The 'Tiny Barn' with a big heart. We arrived during storm 'Ciara' and the barn was thankfully warm and cosy. The Barn has a well equipped kitchenette with a large fridge. The decor is beautifully done. The bed is very comfortable, comfy lounge chairs and a great place to eat overlooking the pretty countryside. The Barn was sparkling clean and had everything you needed. Nicky & Mark were great hosts, their communication was instant, they were discreet but there if you needed them. We would certainly recommend this property and would love to stay here again.

    Sarah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This will be a long but necessary review. As the first guest to experience The Tiny Barn, I feel I should give details for future guests to know exactly what's in store especially when it comes to the size. Understand, this lives up to its name. Therefore, space is limited. I'm 5'2" and everything fit perfectly for me. If you are taller and require a ton of space, do not book, then complain. Be well aware there is a 10 minute walk to the closest bus stop. If you want seclusion, this is definitely it! Those are NOT negatives, just things to be cognizant of before your visit...otherwise...everything was/is immaculate! I wanted a week away from the city and was provided an excellent country tiny cabin. The bed was comfortable, had every amenity needed and great wifi service! Nicky answered any question I had and was available when needed. I was able to cook meals, store food in the fridge and use Netflix effortlessly. If you want a beautiful secluded retreat, this is your place! Not a sound and meters and meters of gorgeous country. Would definitely return!

A beautifully renovated, wonderfully positioned converted chapel with large private garden in one of the area's prettiest villages. Wootton Rivers is within the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, with beautiful walks along the Kennet & Avon Canal, the Ridgeway and Savernake Forest. The village has a 16th century thatched pub, very close to the Chapel. We are also on the National Cycle Network route 4 and near to great restaurants such as Stein's, and Dan's in Marlborough.
Perfect for couples looking for a quiet, romantic retreat or young families with one or two small children, the master bedroom is open to the stairs (stair gates top and bottom if required) with bedroom 2 off the main bedroom. (You are welcome to book for three adults as long as you are happy that the person in bedroom 2 must access the stairs and bathroom through the main bedroom.) The kitchen is fully equipped including dish washer and washing machine. There is also a heated airer, iron and ironing board at the proeprty. The shower room has underfloor heating. There are French doors to a large, private fenced garden over looking fields that often have cows in during the spring and summer. If you're lucky you might also spot a barn owl circulating the field at dusk. There is a seating area just outside the French doors so you can enjoy the views. Perfect for those bringing a dog as the garden is securely fenced (but please remove any dog mess). For those bringing a dog we ask that you are happy they cannot go upstairs at the property (there are stargates provided for this).
A friendly village community in a picturesque village with an extensive village green and play park off just around the corner from the Chapel
  • We had the such a lovely relaxing weekend at Emily's place. The accommodation was spotless and very homely with everything we could need for a great weekend away. Plenty of recommendations of things to do in the area was a nice touch, as was the welcome pack... We would definitely recommend this place, it exceeded our expectations

    Joanne2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect just as the pictures and description described, lovely that the heating was on when we arrived on a cold rainy February day. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and kitchen had everything we needed. The village was gorgeous with lots of thatched cottages, a bit like a chocolate box. Walking along the canal was an added bonus (even if a bit muddy at this time Feb-20). Would definitely stay here again if looking in this area.

  • Stylish space, perfect for a couple or family of 3. Everything you'd need for a country get-away!

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Emily & Oli's home. Emily left a lovely hamper full of fresh local eggs (the tastiest we've ever tried), coffee, biscuits and more which was a really nice touch. The house was spotless and we really can't fault the place! We’ll definitely be back again soon, thank you!

Emily was very friendly and provided all the essential information for our stay. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice escape from the city! * Would definitely recommend a car or bike in order to fully explore the surrounding areas!*

  • Lori was very welcoming and amenable The room and space is fantastic value for money! Lori was really helpful in pointing out the local area and places of interest to me. Unfortunately due to ill health I had to cut my stay short but will definitely consider booking for a future stay.

    Sam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lori's place is a beautiful, calm, creative environment and the perfect place for a relaxing break. The bedroom overlooks the countryside, the self serve breakfast hits the spot and the accommodation is within easy reach of interesting towns and ancient sites (Avebury etc). For creative folk and bookbinders Lori also runs a programme of courses in her studio with internationally recognised tutors so I will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

What's great here is we're on Salisbury Plains so if you intend to enjoy a weekend walking, biking, off roading or picnicking this is the perfect location. We can securely store bikes or motorbikes. We have a large social garden with bbq and tree lined views. We're walking distance to the village pub and have a double rosette restaurant and microbrewery 5mins drive/30mins walk away (three daggers). We're 20mins drive from Stonehenge, 10mins drive from Westbury which has a mainline station.
We're in a village location, the kitchen diner is large and newly installed, plenty of parking. We also have an on site yoga studio from which yoga lessons are given to the public so you can take advantage of these if you wish. We also have a jacuzzi-bath in the guest bathroom...always fun and relaxing after a days site seeing or working.

  • We enjoyed our stay here so much! The house itself is spacious, beautiful and clean. Our room was very nice, the bed was super comfy and we had a great bathroom (with jacuzzi!). We loved the surroundings and the village itself as well. The Bell Inn pub was only a 5 minute walk and we enjoyed our dinner in a real English pub. Anthony and Clare are super friendly and nice. We wanted to go to London and didn't know where to park the car, so they helped us by picking out a spot outside London with a car park and showed us how to get the train to London. We will for sure come back to stay a little bit longer :)next time!! And we miss the dogs already :)

    Kimberly2019-08-22T00:00:00Z

  • So nice and lovely place and hosts! Clare and Anthony had special intentions to me by helping to find the place, share a place in the garage for the motorcycle and give advices for the places to visit! You can't wait for a best place ! Between Bath and Stonehenge, the country side is beautiful, the house is awesome: beautiful, clean, warm, with all equipments and well situated. I have appreciated talking with the hosts, I recommend this place and I will recommend it when I'll be back in France. Thanks for all.

  • You climb a few easy stairs and find yourself in a light, airy room - blindingly white and clean. It is essentially a bedroom with attached facilities. I slept very well aided probably by the Landlord's excellent beers; I did not notice any aroma or noise from the attached microbrewery. I was walking and can't see how you can go wrong with this as a base for some beautiful and easy walking countryside. The pub itself was very friendly as were mein Hosts. I ate twice at the pub and the food was good. There is no attempt to overextend so the meals are not elaborate or fancy (or pricey). It's very close to the railway station and a little walk into the village where there are most things you would want. The local bus services go north, south, east and west but not on a Sunday!

  • We had a fab stay at this crown in pewsey. The accommodation was perfect, clean and tidy and was exactly as advertised. A very cute family run village pub. We stayed for a wedding close by and found it was the perfect location. Pewsey is a very cute little village with a few pubs and shops to visit. We had a Sunday lunch at our accommodation which was unbelievable value and a great roast. I also dined on the Friday evening whilst waiting for my husband to arrive, the best pub lasagne I have ever had. Hosts were friendly and happy to have a chat, we felt very welcome. It’s a 20min drive to malbrough which was nice to visit, lots of shops, restaurants, pubs etc. It cost £22 in a taxi to get back to pewsey which I thought was quite good value on a Sunday evening. I would love to stay here again if I am ever in need of accommodation in the area. Many thanks Helen

Wiltshire is an amazing county with plenty of places to visit. Nearby is Avebury Stone Circle, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral. With many small interesting market towns at hand. The Honeystreet Mill Cafe is a wonderful place to stop for a beverage and something to eat, full of charm & character. This little village setting also houses a Crop Circle exhibition centre & has visitors from all over the world.

Stay in one of Wiltshire's oldest thatched cottages. The Old Surgery dates back to the 16th century and still retains many original features, alongside modern comforts. Guests have access to a fully private self-contained 2 bedroom cottage with secluded courtyard garden. Accommodation includes lounge with log-burner, fully equipped kitchen/diner, master bedroom with en-suite, second bedroom with 2 single beds. The house is in the quiet village of Littleton Panell, just 10 minutes from Devizes.
Property is a 15 minute drive from Stonehenge, 16 miles to Avebury, 20 minutes from National Trust village of Lacock, Longleat is 30 minutes away. The market town of Devizes is the nearest town, as well as Bath, Bristol, Marlborough and Salisbury being short drives away. The house itself also offers use of a BBQ, book selection and one off-road parking space.
There are numerous country walks on the doorstep, as well as being situated on the border of Salisbury Plain. There is also a country pub and vineyard, which offers wine tasting and tours, both within walking distance. Devizes hosts many events, including arts and food festivals and offers a variety of local restaurants.

Pewsey is situated between Stonehenge and Avebury and we are only 7 minutes walk from the railway station amid a wealth of outstanding countryside. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance in fact a car is not at all essential to your stay. Our little artists hideaway is a unique space full of quirky artworks in a garden of sculptures. It is very comfortable, warm and private and has easy access to all the amenities of the village.
The studio is tucked away behind our house in a private wooded garden. It is warm and cosy and we have made it super comfortable with everything you need for a romantic get away or relaxing quiet time. Even though we are in the middle of a big village you can get straight out into the countryside from the door and you have your own magical wooded path that leads to your house. There is a table tennis and BBQ for your use and your own part of the garden with outside table and chairs. The kitchen has basic appliances, an electric hob and an oven/microwave. It is well equipped with cooking utensils and I also provide basic things like tea, coffee, oils , conserves, sauces and some herbs. In the summer there are fresh herbs in the garden that you are welcome to use. There are two reasonably priced restaurants nearby, an excellent Indian and a great cafe on the canal. If you want more choice Marlborough is 7 miles away and stuffed with restaurants including Rick Steines. There is a bus service that will get you to Stonehenge and Avebury, Silbury Hill and Kennet Longbarrow and also Salisbury and Marlborough so we are perfectly situated if you do not drive or have a vehicle. We are professional artists and work from home so we are mostly around if you need us but if you don't, you won't see us. You will see the chocolate boys, Twix and Wispa, two friendly jack Russell’s who will like to meet you.
Pewsey is a large village that offers a wealth of facilities. It has two supermarkets, both about 3 minutes walk. A bakery, a Boots chemist and a post office..In september 2018 our newly refurbished, £8million sports center will open. It also has an interesting local heritage center that is open in the summer months.
  • Lovely place to stay if you enjoy art. Good selection of art books to read and drawings and sculpture to enjoy. Good welcome pack provided catering for all breakfast needs, good selection of teas and coffee provided. An electric blanket on the bed. Even in February the studio was warm and cosy.

  • Lucy's place is a stylish and cosy spot perfect for a weekend getaway. Some lovely pieces of art and proved to be a great hideout during storm Dennis!

  • This lovely quiet space is well situated in central Pewsey with bus and rail links nearby, and an ideal base for exploring the delights of Pewsey Vale and further afield. Lucy is a very friendly accommodating host. The studio is at the side of the hosts bungalow with its own pathway and entrance. The bed in the mezzanine level is so very comfortable. There are facilities to cook if required. It is rare to find accommodation that will accept dogs so we were very glad to find this and I am sure we will re-visit.

  • Lucy’s place is an ideal location for guests to enjoy great walks and popular destinations in the area. It is very private so ideal for a single person escape or a couples retreat. Lucy left sundries such as bread, milk, eggs etc and all amenities were suitable for cooking in if desired. Perfect for taking a well behaved dog as the garden is great for exploring and completely enclosed. Lucy’s 2 little dogs are very friendly and happy to run round with a new friend. I would highly recommend Lucy’s for value and amenities and hospitality.

  • I loved this quirky studio which is very quiet and private. It was warm and cosy; the bed was comfy and the bed linen top quality; the en suite was sparkling clean, the shower was hot and easy to control; the eggs for breakfast were top of the range, just wonderful! I was there for a short break and found the location ideal. I didn’t want to eat out in the evenings (though there are plenty of recommendations) so was pleased to find that the supermarket was not far away. Pewsey is an interesting place and the countryside around is great for walking. I don’t have a car but the station was just a short walk from the property. So all in all perfect location. Lucy is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming.

  • The art studio is really comfortable, great location for pewsey itself and Stonehenge only being a short drive away. The art is beautiful, it has a very cosy feel. We stayed in October and it was quite cold outside and rained but inside the art studio it was lovely and warm with the heaters and throws. So don’t be worried about staying here when it’s cold, you’ll be fine and warm! Lucy is a great host: warm, welcoming and so helpful. She went above and beyond. I Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

  • Pewsey is a lovely country base to explore Wiltshire from. The Canal walks are gorgeous and close by. This was convenient because I didn't have a car and I spent a lot of time roaming. Great bus service into Salisbury and Marlborough. Garden views out your well lit cottage are a pleasure. Highly recommended. Lorraine, Canada
