  • The best host one will ever meet!

    Sai2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • JoAnn is an amazing host! She is mindful and strikes a perfect balance between being available and allowing space. It is not easy to share a home with someone, but JoAnn does it with kind graciousness! Because the room is on the third floor, there are stairs-but the plus side is it is extremely quiet AND you get daily exercise 😊! I enjoyed being able to walk anywhere-to the park, the gardens, to church, for coffee or a bite. As a single woman I felt completely safe. I highly recommend JoAnn’s place!

    Eileen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • JoAnn was amazing! Parking is just right in front of the house, location is easy to assess to many good restaurants, the famous Botanic garden, museums, highways, etc. Making life so much easier and really pleasant as I am new to St. Louis for my internship!

  • Amazing place! JoAnn was an awesome host.

    Sai2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The room is perfect if you need a space to stay near the city. Short drives to many different locations and the host is very helpful with directions and suggestions. The amenities are great, and you have a good amount of dedicated space in the kitchen for any supplies you might need. A word of warning though, be ready to traverse two floors of stairs often!

  • JoAnn was the best host I ever lived with. I stayed at her place for almost 3 months. Her place is well organized and clean. She will fix any issue by her self as quickly and efficiently quicker than you expect. She will try her best to make your stay as pleasure as possible.

Between 2 major highways giving you easy access to everything St. Louis has to offer. Close to shopping centers. The YELLOW door on Glades Avenue provides you with a private entrance to the apartment. There is a bedroom with 2 beds ( one single and one double) and living room, small dining room, a kitchen with fridge, hot plate, coffee and tea, a laundry room with washer /dryer .Lots of storage
The place is decorated with hand made tapestries from India. You have access to a chrome book and anything Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, and Roku have to offer, as well as a small library. There is also no need for keys as the door has a coded lock that will have a unique number based on the phone number you list on your account.
The neighborhood is famous Dogtown on the Hills. There are plenty of places to eat and shop. Very close to Forest Park, The Zoo, The Art Museum, Delmar Loop, Science Center. Close enough to be safe, and far enough to be pretty quiet.
  • Beautiful space, great energy, very private. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Great! Same as my last review!!!

    William2020-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • A great basement apartment located near the freeway for am easy place to rest on a road trip. Check in was easy, she gave me a pass code for the door lock which let us in when we arrived late at night. There were two beds and a nice large smart TV where we could watch Netflix and relax. The shower area was spacious and had great water pressure and nice hot water. There was also a full kitchen which we didn't need to use, and a few groceries for us to help ourselves to. Which we also didn't use. There is also a laundry room which you can use for a small fee if you are staying fewer than 2 or 3 days, I can't remember exactly. This apartment has a separate side entrance with in street parking. I recommend staying here if you need a nice place for a decent price.

    Aaron2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gilda's place was perfect after an overnight trip in the Ozarks. We enjoyed some ribs and beer from the area. The shower was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed quality time on the couch and in the kitchen. We also paid a small fee, to do laundry, which was worth it. We will definitely be back

Come experience this lovely Rustic Hideaway on Historic Antique Row-Cherokee Street! Enjoy a quiet and private getaway all to yourself in a cozy studio apartment fully furnished with vintage and decor from our neighboring antique shops. Just a few steps out the door and you can experience some of St. Louis' best indie cafes, taquerias, and bakeries. Shop vintage, antique, and handmade boutiques. Or enjoy a show at nearby music venues. We are 5min from highway 44 and 10min from downtown St. Louis
Included in your stay you get..... > to enjoy a full studio style apartment just steps away from historic shopping distrct > back alley access in between residential spaces for a more private and quiet stay > full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, high top bar w/stools to cook and enjoy meals just like at home > full bathroom with dressing room for comfort and privacy > full double bed to accommodate 1-2 comfortably > living area with chairs and side table next to a big window to enjoy breakfast and morning coffee > full private workspace area/office to catch up on emails and plan your day here in St. Louis > free private gravel parking spot out of plain view right in front of the apartment for easy access with luggage This charming little spot is about 400 sq ft and is located in the very middle of the Cherokee Art District and Antique Row. Both historic and fresh in character. We wanted to reflect that in the ambiance of the space. You will find a wonderful mix of modern industrial fixtures and rustic antique decor. All come together to express a true sense of history and Midwestern lifestyle.
The apartment is tucked away right behind one of the most historic and lively strips in St. Louis. The district is called Cherokee Art District which is separated into two sections; one is known as Cherokee Street and the other side is known as Antique Row. Your lodging is located on the Antique Row side, but is only half a block away from the other side of Cherokee Street. Both full of indie boutiques and cafes. Cherokee Street is a newer strip with lots of diversity, raw artistic ambiance, and a robust nightlife while Antique Row is more historic and lush with antiques shops and vintage/handmade clothing stores. We are proud to say we are one of those shop owners here on Antique Row. Ruby Francis is a handmade outfitter specializing in ready-to-wear for men and woman constructed from vintage and reclaimed fabrics and materials. As you travel West on Cherokee Street, you'll find independently owned thrift stores, coffee shops, whiskey bars, florists, furniture, leather goods, craft beer grocer, bakeries, taquerias, tattoo parlors, jewelers, St. Louis-centric wearables, art galleries, and so much more. As you travel East on Antique Row, you will find privately owned bakeries, delis, vintage clothing stores, bath & body care, clothing boutiques, antique furniture, heirloom shops, pizzerias, more antiques shops, the historic Lemp Mansion, DeMenil Mansion (both provide tours), music venues, pubs, art supply stores, coffee shops, and even more antique shops.
  • Great place to stay! A lot more spacious than expected! The yard area is nice on a good day. Also, great to have parking.

  • My partner and I stayed here for just one night, but what a cool experience! The Rustic Hideaway was super urban, chic, and hipster- and a fun place to crash during the pandemic :) Stephanie and Andy were very accommodating and quick to respond. Having the pups with us and easy access to the yard was the best part! Thanks for sharing with us, we would love to come back!

  • Cozy little tucked away studio was perfect for what I was looking for. The neighborhood was very interesting (in a good way lol) as well. If I wasn’t traveling though I would’ve loved to check out the shops. The French press coffee was a really nice touch I enjoyed in the morning. Definitely would stay again

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS Nothing is more important to the us than the health and safety of our communities. We are monitoring the situation very closely, and we would like to share the additional precautions that have been recently added. All amenities at this property have been closed. We have increased our cleaning standards, specifically as it relates to cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. This is all very necessary for the safety of guests, and we must do our part to keep this community safe.
STAYING LONG TERM? Contact us for up to 40% off your stay! We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties or gatherings. We use a noise sensor to detect the noise level inside the suite, a people counter which counts the number of people nearby, in addition to numerous neighbors who are understandably more sensitive during this time. The guest amount on your reservation must match the number of guests that will be inside the suite at any given time. We do utilize our local law enforcement if you cannot abide by these rules and you will be asked to vacate at your own expense. Our one bedroom apartment with one queen bed, couch & air mattress has everything you need to enjoy your stay in St. Louis! The controlled access, high-rise building is 25-stories high. The kitchen is stocked with cookware to cook simple meals, a Keurig coffee maker to enjoy coffee or tea, and stainless steel appliances. Check out St. Louis from the spacious and beautiful glass balcony. Floor-to-ceiling windows allows for lots of natural light. There's a smart TV with Roku and Netflix (there is no cable) & free WiFi! A washer and dryer is available inside the apartment for your convenience. Enjoy a workout in the 24-hour fitness center. There are several paid parking garages or metered street parking nearby.
History surrounds you! Relax and enjoy St. Louis at the Old Post Office Plaza right in front of the building, an urban oasis in the heart of downtown. America's Center is located only one block away! Walk several blocks and stop by the Citygarden Sculpture Park. Walk 10 minutes to Busch Stadium or City Museum, or 20 minutes to get to the Enterprise Center or Gateway Arch. If you need some groceries, Schnucks is a block away. Dining and drinks are located everywhere you turn, you won't have to go far to do anything you need.
  • Location was amazing and the room and view was beautiful. Had some trouble with check in due to me but the response time from them was extremely quick and they were incredibly nice and understanding. Will definitely book again.

A spacious 1 bedroom loft with a Walk Score of 96 is excellent for vacations, business travel, conferences, sports events, and exploring lovely St. Louis! Our space is perfectly located between all of the major attractions. You can easily walk to the Arch, Busch Stadium, Americas Center (conference center), Scottrade Center, City Museum, Peabody Opera House, and many more. There's also a grocery store 1 block away, and many restaurants, cafes, and bars that we'd highly recommend.
The space has been outfitted with designer furniture everywhere. The center piece of the living room is a beautiful white leather Eames Lounge chair. Relax on our blue leather couch from Article and watch Netflix on our 60" 4K TV. In the kitchen you'll find a beautiful Saarinen marble tulip table (designed by the same designers as the St Louis Arch!). The table seats 4 guests and the kitchen island seats an additional 3.
The neighborhood is the perfect mix of being super close to all of the attractions, but still 1-2 blocks away from loud bars at night. It's the most desirable area in downtown to live. The main grocery store is 1/2 block away with the best rated restaurants all right next door. There's also an excellent coffee shop just down the street. The entire area is also incredibly safe!

The Carriage House is a bright, fun studio located in popular Tower Grove South. It shares a large patio, garden, and trampoline with a historic home. The open floor plan and twin beds allow plenty of space for families and friends. Guests of all ages love the local artwork, plants, art supplies, books, and games the CH offers. Don't forget to have bread and coffee on us before you walk through the Morganford Business District, Tower Grove Park, and South Grand! We can't wait to host you!
ATTENTION: As of March 1 there will be a queen sized bed and a twin sized daybed. Currently there are two twin sized beds. Featured on Apartment Therapy and St. Louis Magazine! https://www.stlmag.com/design/property/10-cool-airbnbs-to-check-out/ https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/house-tour-3-roomies-share-a-colorful-st-louis-home-252355 https://www.stlmag.com/design/airbnb_1/ The kitchen is complete with a full stove/oven, fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and butcher block island. Local coffee and bread are in the fridge for you! Feel free to use all kitchen supplies. All we ask is that you clean up after yourselves, thanks! In the living/sleeping area, there are twin day beds that can be pushed together for couples or pushed apart for more privacy + plenty of room on the shag rug to set up sleeping bags and air mattresses to fit more guests and kids. For each day bed we provide two sleeping pillows, a throw pillow, a top and bottom sheet, and a blanket. We also provide a toddler-sized foam sofa that's great for little kiddos. Please bring your own sheets, pillows, and blankets, and towels for extra people, including kids. :) FYI The daybeds are currently on metal frames that are a bit taller than the ones pictured. One has an "extra long" twin mattress to help accommodate taller adults. Some guests have mentioned how bright the studio is due to daylight or alley lights. We love the light however you might want to bring a sleeping mask. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs; the AC/heater can be loud and the crickets and birds around the garden like the sing. One more note! The building is old, industrial, and not well-insulated. Occasionally you’ll spot bugs or feel a draft. This is normal. :) Adjust the thermostat as you wish!
Our neighborhood is the best! Beautiful old homes and local businesses surround Tower Grove Park. Our home is located on a quiet block, just steps from the Morganford Business District (shops, bars, restaurants) or a longer stroll or short bike ride to South Grand. All highways and main roads are easily accessed from our neighborhood, making it simple to hop around to tourists spots.

Small, cozy and safe, this one-bedroom unit is big enough for 2 guests to relax comfortably. It's a great place for families and guests of Barnes-Jewish Hospital patients because it's only 7 minutes away from the main entrance of the hospital. This apartment complex is mostly quiet but you will occasionally hear others. Street parking is free and usually available but it can get crowded during weekends. Please contact me if you questions or concerns.
Packaged terminal air conditioners (PTACs) , the kinds you see in hotels, cool and warm this apartment unit. There is some space in the storage closet for luggage guests may also be able to slide bags under the bed. The apartment is all electric so carbon monoxide detectors are not needed.
Central West End (CWE) is one of the very best places to stay in the City of St. Louis. It's also the home of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the best academic hospitals in the country and #1 in Missouri. CWE has tons of restaurants and Juniper, a southern table and bar, is in walking distance from the guest house, there's some clothing stores, the seventh largest urban park in the United States, Forest Park, is in CWE, the St. Louis Zoo (free admission) and across from Forest Park is the St. Louis Science Center. Other major St. Louis sites are only within about 12 minutes away including Busch Stadium, the Gateway Arch, Chaifetz Arena, the City Museum and much more.
  • Lois was a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and responsive. The unit was sparkling clean and comfortable. The location was great. I enjoyed seeing the occasional dog walkers and joggers. And the TV in the bedroom was a plus. Perfect stay.

We are located a few feet from public transportation and the thriving "Historic Cherokee St. District", where you will find several restaurants, bars, shopping venues, and night life. We are also located within a mile of several large parks and less than 4 miles from downtown (Arch) and most special events.
There are a lot of art galleries, music venues, coffee houses, restaurants, a small "Little Mexico" section, Cherokee Antique Row, and just a melting pot of cultural diversity. While the neighborhood can sometimes looks run down, we feel safe walking, parking, and living in any part of it at any time of day. Crime is dropping and real estate prices are steadily increasing. We feel this is a very nice and fun place to visit and live.
  • The host was very welcoming, clean and tidy bedroom and bathroom. Great value for money.

  • Terry and Jerry are amazing! Both are very kind and happy to give recommendations about the area. The last night of my stay, a friend of mine needed a place to sleep, and Jerry was very accommodating and making sure my friend had additional bedding so he could crash in my room. Would absolutely stay here again when I'm back in St Louis!

Recently rehabbed cozy little two story house in The Holly Hills neighborhood in South Saint Louis. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are all on the first floor. The kitchen is fully furnished. The second floor houses the bedroom. There is a fenced in yard for your furry friend.
Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. We do not charge a cleaning fee so we ask you to leave this space as you found it. We take care of the laundry, empty the trash and thoroughly clean the house between guests. We ask that you, wash and dry all dishes and return them to where you found them. Please clean up after yourself, your kids and your pets. Cleaning supplies are in the cabinets under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. The broom is the utility closet and the vacuum cleaner is in the closet under the steps. If you have an excess amount of trash, please put it in the brown dumpster in the alley behind the house. Recyclables can be placed in the blue dumpster further down the alley. Thank you for choosing The Little House. Please treat the space and my neighbors with respect. If any problems arise, I will do my best to take action ASAP.
Lovely quiet neighborhood, less than three blocks from beautiful Carondelet Park. Enjoy walking trails, lakes, and picnic facilities. The park also boasts a YMCA recreation center with state of the art workout equipment, indoor and outdoor pools and a water park. Catholic and Lutheran churches within walking distance. Two blocks from The Stellar Hog a neighborhood bar serving world class barbecue. Close to other great local bars, restaurants and entertainment.
  • Cute, clean, quiet space with a private yard. Definitely appreciated the pet friendly policy too :) The Holly Hills neighborhood is walkable, residential, and has a big park. You're also 10 minutes from Soulard and downtown on 55. Anthony was very communicative and welcoming, and check-in was easy.

    Lily2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Anthony's 'Little House' is exactly that. The "loft" bedroom and fenced yard were ideal for us as a couple and our dog. The home was very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and tasteful decorating. While we were not able to explore the surrounding neighborhood as much as we might have liked, it looked as though there were interesting local businesses nearby. Anthony even supplied coupons and menus.

    Dave2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent little place! Ground floor is kitchen, living space, and bathroom, upper level is the bedroom. It was clean and cozy. It's set away from the main street and feels very private. Just some notes: the neighbor's dog is obnoxious, the bedroom blinds are thin, and the two floors maintain very different temperatures. These did not affect my stay (5 stars) but they might if you like to sleep in late or don't use white noise like I do. I would definitely go back.

    Kourtney2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Where should I start. The little house was very accommodating. The house was tremendously clean. Outstanding hospitality & thoughtful treats for our dog. I highly recommend this home to anyone staying in the St. Louis area. 5 stars!!! I wish I could offer more.

Don’t be bored. Be Bordeaux. This hip suite in St. Louis’s hottest neighborhood boasts exposed brick walls, wood beams, and more than a century of history in an old industrial building—heck, even the ceilings are cool. Add in amenities like smart thermostats and stainless appliances, and you’ve got an old favorite that’s aged like a fine... Bordeaux?
Although you won’t see many mops in this old mop factory anymore, what hasn’t changed is a steadfast commitment to keeping things spick and span. When you choose to travel with Zencity, enjoy sparkling clean rooms, a simple 24-hour check-in process, and a dedicated customer service agent always available. Now that’s a bon voyage.
This building has been around the block—first as a canvas factory, then as a mop factory, and now as your own personal gateway to Lafayette Square and Soulard, Cajun- and French-inspired neighborhoods where you’ll find restaurants, a historic market, townhouses in every shade of pastel, overflowing gardens, and a large park perfect for a lazy day. Oh la la!

Aside from the positives with Eric, the space itself is fantastic. It has clearly been well taken care of and the historic building's character comes through. My wife and I enjoyed staying there and would happily return or recommend it to anyone else.

The queen bed was very comfortable. I had access to my own mini-fridge, microwave, and hot pot. Absolutely the best part was the jet tub at the end of the day! Wonderful!!!

Pull up an Eames chair at the sleek marble table under a gallery of wall-mounted succulents at this fresh space combining whitewashed bricks and clean lines. Pick a movie to watch on the 60-inch TV and rest tired legs on the quilted velvet footstool.
The space has been outfitted with designer furniture everywhere. The center piece of the living room is a beautiful grey velvet couch from Article. Relax and watch Netflix on our 60" 4K TV. For kitchen seating we have a beautiful marble table from Article with 2 Eames chairs. Additionally there are 3 bar stools at the breakfast counter.
This area is a great mix of being close to all of the attractions, but still 1-2 blocks away from the buzzing bar scene at night. There's an excellent coffee shop just down the street and many restaurants and cafes nearby.
  • FAVORITE place I’ve ever stayed, just so bummed we were only there for a super short overnight! The place is exactly like the pictures look and had all the amenities you could ever need. Ludwig was super helpful in my situation - we ran into travel hiccups and I cancelled our reservation thinking we wouldn’t be able to make it. When we found out we still could, they let us rebook with no extra fee. If I’m ever back in St Lo for a longer period, this will be the place I’m looking to stay!

    Emily2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place looked amazing. Great location. And great communication between us and the host. We really loved the style of the place. Bed was super comfortable.

  • Great interiors and location! This was our first time visiting St. Louis, and we had a wonderful trip. The owners are communicative and provide many helpful suggestions with regards to restaurants and attractions. The loft is spacious, clean and comfortable.

  • The Ludwig is such a cute building. The decor of the actual apartment was appealing with really clean lines. The place was clean, comfortable, and had all the things I needed to make it a comfortable stay. The hosts were very communicative and provided incredibly clear directions to get in and suggestions of things to do nearby. They checked in too, which was nice.

    Shalini2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Super cute style, great location! Will stay here everytime we visit!

    Kellie2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Ludwig was such a cozy, warm, and welcoming place to stay! I will absolutely recommend The Ludwig to any of my family and friends headed to St. Louis! Everything was placed beautifully! It even had spices in a spice rack so my wife could cook! It felt nice to walk into our room after a long day and just instantly feel so relaxed! We will absolutely come to stay again when coming to visit family!

Walkable neighborhood close to Tower Grove Park, Missouri Botanical Garden, South Grand restaurant district, public transit, bars & nightlife, & easy distance from downtown & other lively urban areas. You’ll love the unique & thoughtful design & open layout. Filled with modern amenities but retaining it's historic charm, hardwood floors & reclaimed wood, large TV w/ cable & Roku. We take great pride in our high cleanliness standards. For couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, & families.
Exposed brick and timbers show off the craftsmanship in this historic building. Reclaimed flooring has been re-purposed for the front and back of the bar. A charming farmhouse sink and historic shower basin have stayed in the apartment from a renovation early last century. These historic touches are thoroughly balanced by modern amenities including Wi-Fi & wired Ethernet, a large television with cable and Roku, closet organizer, and luxury waterfall shower with jets.
Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, Tower Grove Park, and more! South Grand boasts some of the best restaurants, bars, and coffee shops that St. Louis has to offer. Just a short drive to just about any destination in St. Louis.
  • The place was very clean, in a great location, and there were little touches such as snacks and drinks that we appreciated.

    Angela2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • I read all the reviews on this space and it definitely did not disappoint. I really appreciate Heritage’s prompt communication. Both the check in and check out were seamless. The apartment is full of special touches including snacks and even toiletries in case you forget something. This is a great location and parking was very convenient. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb!

  • Very nice place to stay! Stayed from Wednesday-Sunday, and there was never a problem with parking. Good location that is close to local sites and great food/bars. The room was stocked with essentials, and the owners really take pride in providing guests the best experience. Would 10/10 recommend this location!

    Paige2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Just spectacular! A great place to stay. Great sites (and great food) within easy access in this quiet neighborhood. Sparkly clean, and wonderfully comfy. The temp controllable shower was a treat.

    David2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean and exactly as pictured. Complimentary snacks and drinks/coffee were great! Street parking, but easy to find a spot close to the apartment. Note that the bedroom isn't closed off from the living space/kitchen, so the apartment is more like a loft. Overall had a great experience here and would definitely stay again!

    Ellie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

With easy highway access, and conveniently situated equidistance from Soulard, Lafayette Square, Tower Grove South, and Cherokee St, this custom designed space is not only an experience on its own, but a perfect base for exploring The Gateway City. Surround yourself with art, literature, and the homie comforts that set ArtBnB aside from staunch hotel chains. A lightly stocked kitchen, library, garden, patio, deck, grill, fire pit, wine rack, kennel, toiletries, and parking pad are all included.
A growing gallery alongside custom alterations make this space the perfect hideaway to find/lose yourself in the heart of St.Louis. Much of the art and features in the space are now "discoverable", with interactive QR code Easter eggs, linking to 'making of' videos and artist portfolios.
Fox Park is filled with historic homes, and surrounded by exciting businesses and popular events. ArtBnB is situated within walking distance to some of the best restaurants and bars the city has to offer, and the quick highway access makes it an ideal hub for exploring other areas of the city.
  • This place is adorable and great location for visiting St. Louis. We really appreciate the snacks and drinks Nick left for us!

    Alexa2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is SO cute! I had a very short stay, just passing through St. Louis. Nick was very responsive and helpful.

    Rachel2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • it was a wonderful stay, however I do want to note a couple of things for future guests who may want to know, first- none of the windows open, in fact they are all covered with fabric & shelves of trinkets. so if you desire fresh air to come through, its impossible. another thing to note- the bed is extremely squeaky, its so loud every time you barely move! otherwise, it was a great place! unique decor, nice amenities, friendly hosts, etc.

    Krista & Paul2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nick and Shelley's place was so absolutely cool! A lot to look at and get your mind running! The back deck was a killer spot and even had a little grill. Pantry and fridge were not empty and the touch of their own water was so cool!! The bed was SO comfortable but it does squeak with every toss or turn you may make! The space is just so peaceful...10/10 would recommend!

    Gabbie2020-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • This AirBnb was an absolute joy to stay at. The atmosphere was amazing. The walls were covered in artwork! It was great to just look at each piece and admire. A great choice!

    Fabian2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a site to see. Nick went all out to make this place artful and unique. Left taking photos of the place. My wife and I loved it

    Norman2020-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish spot. You can hear the next door neighbors enter and leave the apartment next door, but they weren't loud inhabitants. Easy to locate, easy check in, well stocked amenities, lots to read/watch available. Fully stocked kitchen (thanks for the coffee pods!). Vintage bed frame in the bed room is squeaky but the mattress and pillows were a great quality. Slept like a log. Wouldn't mind crashing here again with a little more time to peruse the reading collection.

With all the charm of a southern provincial Victorian estate in the heart of STL, this solar-powered, recently renovated 126-years-young home boasts a low carbon footprint! A spacious wrap-around veranda overlooks flowering terraces; while the interior offers abundant common space (2 kitchens, sunroom, dining, living, deck, grill). Private rooms come with personal TV, DVD, and guest accounts for Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and HBOnow. Organic raised bed garden in back. Adjacent to YMCA (with pool).
Cozy and bright room with window AC unit, for personalized climate control. Two lightly stocked kitchens. Two bathrooms with renewable bamboo toilet paper and other toiletries. Ample common space, both indoors and out. German Sheppard lives downstairs with owner. Four security cameras protecting entries.
The 'West End' neighborhood lies (you guested it) just West (and a bit North) of the 'Central West End': one of STL's trendiest and haute-est neighborhoods. Solar Urban Oasis rests just a 5 minute drive from Forest Park, one of the nations largest urban parks {well eclipsing NYC's Central Park (840ac)}, with roughly 1300ac. Forest Park houses many cultural icons of St.Louis: the expansive and FREE art museum; one of the country's last FREE zoos; one of the largest outdoor summerstocks in the Americas (The MUNY, w/FREE seats in the back); a boathouse, and Shakespeare glenne, a golfcourse, miles upon miles of trail, et cetera ad nauseam. Just a bit further West is the Delmar Loop, home of the Pageant (amongst other venues), Wash U, and international cuisine marketed toward college/concert goers. To the Southeast, you will find The Grove, on Manchester: a great option for barhopping and local acts. The North side of Forest Park is more residential and less crowded than those to the South, making commuting less troublesome. Solar Urban Oasis resides North of the Delmar Divide. At last census, the neighborhood was 85% Black, 8% White, 4% Hispanic, 3% Asian/Native American/Other. If those numbers make you uncomfortable, please consider other options. Discrimination will be met with only the minimum of civility. Openness and kindness will be matched in hospitality. Along with my son, I have been renovating, flipping, and managing houses in the St.Louis Metro area for almost 20 years; focusing on ethical development: supporting sustainability, revitalization, affordability, and battling gentrification by cultivating neglected historic properties near cultural centers. I live at this property with my 100lb German Shepard, and of all the properties I own or manage around St.Louis, there has never been any issues with safety or theft on the SUO property. I hope that continues as I open my home to you. The greenway starts 2 blocks away and heads straight (2 miles) to the Museum in Forest Park. Delmar Loop and Central West End are 2 miles away. Within 5 miles are the Zoo, Science Center, Fabulous Fox Theatre, Mo Botanial Gardens, Tower Grove and the City Museum. The Arch is 6.5 miles away, as is the Cardinal Stadium or Soulard. Cherokee Street or the Anheuser-Busch Brewery are only 8 miles away.

We are located a few feet from public transportation and the thriving "Historic Cherokee St. District", where you will find several restaurants, bars, shopping venues, and night life. We are also located within a mile of several large parks and less than 4 miles from downtown (Arch) and most special events.
Large private bedroom with access to a private balcony and a wooded fenced back yard. There is ample free parking out front.

This is the middle-sized room we have at Harvest Home - a 125 year old house in the CWE. It has a full sized bed, a bathroom and a shared kitchen space you have full access to. Within a short walk of the basilica and many bars and restaurants.
The Central West End is a really great neighborhood for walking around and discovering bars and restaurants. Here’s a very abbreviated list of the things you might want visit during your stay. A neighborhood guide is available in a google drive folder in the house manual after you book with us!
  • Wonderful stay would most def stay here again.

    Jasmine2020-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • I checked in at midnight and Jacob was still up to greet me. There are stairs and he was very helpful with carrying a suitcase. We started chatting and immediately became instant friends. Super friendly person that cares about people. I had booked another room but when I arrived chose a different one with a TV. Each of the rooms has a bit of a different theme/style, and small to quite large. The house was immaculately clean considering that there are 7 rooms. And the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, milk, coffee creamer, fruit, bagels and bread, etc. They also had cooking oil, butter, salt/pepper & spices. Impressive. Jacob pretty much runs the house and is attentive to everyone’s needs. The showers had soap, shampoo, conditioner. Even hair dryers. The access to a washer, dryer and complimentary laundry soap was also great to have. I stayed for several more days after and met Brandon, the owner. Chill guy. Him and Jacob and another one of their friends that was visiting hung out for a bit for some drinks and guacamole and salsa. This area of the house was separated from the Airbnb guests though, so I want to clarify that... the common space is the kitchen. The house was on a lovely tree lined street. Awesome experience and I would definitely stay there again!

    Amanda2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Well worth the money spent! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Brandon’s place. My stay went better than anticipated. It’s centrally located in the central west end ample parking was available. The home is very retro, however, the rennovations (updated interior and exterior) made complement it nicely. It was wonderful to have a kitchen on the 3rd floor as well. Another added feature was having complimentary facial (wet wipes) in both the bedroom and bathroom. Ample pillows and bedding (comforters) were available as well. Blackout curtains were a nice bonus feature too. The bedroom included a tv with firestick and wifi access as well.

This is a beautifully, well maintained apartment that submerges its guests into a stylish environment mixing antiques with new, modern amenities.
Forest Park is within steps of your front door. Visit the Zoo, Art Museum, Science Center, Golf Courses, Muny Theater, etc. Minutes to downtown, Wash U, Clayton, Maplewood, etc. Walk to famous Dogtown restaurants, bars and shops. Easy access to all major highways so you can hop to Downtown St. Louis, Clayton or West County/Chesterfield.
This area is known as the HEART OF ST. LOUIS for its location, location, location. Incredibly welcoming environment but we would not recommend leaving valuables in the car.
  • I love this apartment! The unit was absolutely spotless and super cute! Very Comfy bed w/ awesome pillows, Plus the greatest host ever! Jay who will respond to any requests or questions quickly! Lastly I have always felt very safe day and night as a woman- traveling solo- 5stars across the board

    Erin2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jay's place is an all around 5-star place to stay. It's hard to beat the combination of location, price, ease of check in, and all of the amenities you could hope for.

    Ricardo2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place, especially for the price. I would stay here 10 times over before paying 2 or 3 times the price for a hotel. Jay was excellent host and went above and beyond. Only cons were creaky floors, hot water ran out once for a short time, the garage clearance is low and our car scraped the underside until I took out the luggage and approached at an angle and someone was smoking outside that seeped into the bedroom a little. The location can’t be beat. We felt safe in this area. Apartment is spacious. Has everything you need. A++++ I would highly recommend to everyone.

  • Jay's place was everything we wanted. The location was perfect! The place was clean and comfortable and cozy. Jay was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Not only that, he quickly accommodated us with an earlier check-in. And he even had board games. We'll definitely stay with Jay again

    Sherell2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, it was really clean and the decor was nice. The only thing was very minor. We ended up parking on the street because parking in the garage was a pain with our minivan. It definitely wouldn’t keep us from staying here again though.

  • This place was amazing! I loved the jacuzzi tub and the shower!! Although, I never could figure out how to drain the tub afterwards. Lol! (So sorry about that, David!) Everything was great! I would definitely stay here again!

  • A nice quiet area to get away for you and your spouse. Prices are reasonable. Tv is up to date. The area is very convenient and close by restaurants. This is much better than a 200$ hotel stay.
