1895 Victorian flat w/ 12 ft ceilings. (No Long Term Rentals or couples) Close to Mission, & 2.5 blocks from Castro theater. MUNI is 3 blocks away. Room is small and cosy, and great value for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US!
We live in an 1895 Victorian top flat with 12 foot ceilings on the best block in San Francisco. Our calendar is always up to date. Location Location Location~ Our home is close to the Mission, Lower Haight, and 2.5 blocks from the Castro theater. The underground is 3 blocks away, with a street car even closer. The room is small and cosy, but a great price for one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the US! Please fill out your profile if you are interested~and make sure to arrange a time to meet prior to your arrival, I lead a busy lifestyle, work full time, and wouldn't want to miss anyone! Check in is at 5 and we are 37 steps up from street level. Restaurants are plentiful and beautiful Dolores Park is quite close. Your room has a twin day bed 75 inches long with a desk and a solid door. The room is 9.25 feet by 8 feet. Amenities include wireless and a gorgeous full kitchen. We have one cat that enjoys company almost as much as we do and a sweet rescue pooch. Our flat gets more light than any other home I've been to in my 13 years of living in this great town. For all you foodies out there BiRite Creamery, Tartine, Delfina's Pizza and Proper are within 4.5 blocks of our front door. Michelin rated Range is just a few farther. As much as we love bikes, and we do, we don't have space for storage. If you rent one please return it at the end of the day or lock up on the street at your own risk. Please ask if you would like to have a friend for a short visit.
  • Highly recommended. Perfect place to stay for my work trip. Brenda is a kind, generous and friendly hostess and great conversationalist. Her apartment is bright, very clean and well appointed while chock full of bay area charm. Room is cute and cozy with comfy bed and tons of natural light. It was the quiet respite I needed at the end of my long days. Perfect spot for a solo traveller. Boo Dog is an adorable little sweetheart. Would definitely book again! Thanks Brenda!

  • Brenda was the sweetest. Love her animals and apartment. 💕

  • By far my best Airbnb stay to date! Where to start? The apartment itself is magnificent, oozing an old, San Franciscan charm . The bedroom was spacious, with an incredibly comfortable bed and curtains which could black out the brightest of days. The kitchen and bathroom were both large and fully equipped to do whatever your heart desired. Location-wise the apartment is incredibly close to Castro street, only a few blocks away, with lovely shops and restaurants scattered about, the closest restaurant being a literal stone's throw away. Brenda is the most marvelous Airbnb host I have ever encontered. Her communications were incredibly clear regarding checking in, and her tips about town were spot on. Brenda went beyond the call of duty of an Airbnb host and was one of the most welcoming people I've ever met, making me feel like a part of the household there. If you're traveling alone and wanting to stay near the Castro neighborhood then this is the place to stay, you won't regret it. I'm already planning my next trip back.

  • This was my first but definitely not my last b&b experience! Beautiful small room - with a very good bed- in an apartment decorated with a lot of taste. Brenda is a very nice host who made my first days in San Francisco very plesant! She had lots of good advise on nearby restaurants and groceries, and on musea, parks and other things not to miss in this great city. The location of this b&b is also great: near Castro and Dolores, and near different cable cars and bus lines. Thank you Brenda!

  • I had a wonderful experience staying with Brenda. She was very friendly and fun to talk with, and I felt welcomed into her home. The space is very comfortable for a solo traveler and, as advertised, perfectly located in one of San Francisco's most appealing neighborhoods. Highly recommended.

  • I had an amazing stay at Brenda's beautiful, well-kept Victorian house. It was on a very safe street right in between Castro & the Mission, 2 blocks away from the F Streetcar. I felt very comfortable with Brenda right away. The red room (and the whole house) is exactly how it looks in the photos; the room is small, but the perfect size for 1 person with everything you might need--every different type of SF map, restaurant recommendations, luggage stand, hooks on the door, & a desk. By the way, every place she suggested was absolutely delicious & within walking distance. Brenda was always up to chat whenever she was home. Even though I was travelling alone, I felt like I had a friend to talk to about my San Francisco adventures each day. And I loved her cat! The whole experience was so much nicer, warmer, & cheaper than staying in a hotel would have been. Random final note: I loved that she gave me an entire drawer in her refrigerator to store the food I bought from Bi-Rite. It made me feel like I lived there. :) Thanks Brenda! Can't wait to come back.

  • I couldn't have asked for anything more. Brenda is an amazing host. She has lovely pets and an awesome apartment. It' s close to F Train which is super convenient. It was really quiet during my stay and i could always rest up after a good day of sightseeing. Brenda was helpful with everything! Thank you so much, Brenda for your hospitality!!!

  • The place is just like you see it in the photos. Mike and Nic were accessible and helpful when needed. We did underestimate the hills, so take comfy shoes and keep in mind there are a couple of buses that go by very close. My partner and I had a great time.

  • Mike and Nic's apartment really lived up to our expectations: it's a great and very cosy place to stay. Great neighbourhoud as well, with a beautiful view. Will definitely wanna go back there again!

  • The appartment is as described, a very nice place in a very nice neighbourhood. We were a family of three staying for two weeks and could have not asked for more. Bernal Heights is a terrific neighbourhood with Cortland Ave. servicing all basic needs. Great playgrounds for kids within walking distance. The whole city is easily accessible by public transport. Mike and Nic made it clear that they would lend a helping hand if one was needed.

One bedroom sanctuary with a beautiful garden view and cozy fireplace. Comes with it's own entrance just steps from bus lines, train, and all that Haight Street has to offer. Complete privacy with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and breakfast bar. There is a pull-out twin bed in the living room as well.
If you want to be within walking distance to Golden Gate Park, Haight St, Buena Vista Park, and Cole Valley, this is the spot. Full size bed in the bedroom with 400 thread count sheets and a pull-out twin in the living room. Just installed fireplace and large screen tv makes hanging out fun in the comfortable living room. Bathroom has a shower within the tub and white fluffy towels.
You will hear from many that this is the best neighborhood in SF. I chose this area for the many Victorian homes, the ease of mass transit, the walkability, and the abundance of parks, restaurants, and nightlife nearby. As a recent transplant to this area I can tell you that the stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs are great here. I forget I have a car most of the time! Street parking is easy except for Wednesday 8-10 due to street cleaning.
  • The apartment was awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Sara was wonderful and extremely accommodating.

    Russell2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a cosy garden apartment. Very San Francisco style house in a trendy neighbourhood. Close to parks, great for a morning run or walking around! Easy distance to Uber/taxi into downtown. Everything ran smoothly! Parking is a little tight but we always managed to find a parking space.

    Lindsey2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had great experience while our stay in Sara's place. The neighborhood is quiet but the area is also busy. The apartment is very clean and newly decorated and fashionable. We love her apartment and the yard!

    2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Sara is helpful and attentive. We enjoyed being in a local area with beautiful architecture and very close to everything you'd like to visit. The space is very cozy and quaint. Absolutely would recommend and would book again!!!

    Jacqueline2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location minutes away from Haight -Ashbury, comfortable for 2, fabulous host- always making us feel at home and very responsive!

    Juliana2017-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Sara’s place is a great. It feels like a cozy cabin in the woods. The backyard, which most windows face, is a lush garden. The gas-burning fireplace kept the place nice and toasty on cold, raw early March days and nights. The bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. I found the place immaculately clean. Everything works. And Sara, who lives upstairs but you wouldn’t know it unless you need her and then she’s there in a flash, was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. It’s a 5-minute walk to the Haight Street Market and 5 minutes and steps from the bus that’ll take you downtown if you have reason to be there. And it’s 3 short blocks from the Panhandle, the extension of and entry into gorgeous Golden Gate Park. I’ll come back if Sara will have me.

    Eric2019-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's place is right in the heart of Haight Ashbury, very convenient for shops and restaurants and not too bad transport wise. She is a lovely thoughtful host, and we had a great time there.

    Bridget2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Sara for having us in your stunning garden studio! All our beds were super comfy, we loved the SF books and magazines and it was great to be able to make some cereal in the morning. One morning we sat out in the garden to have brekky. Sara's is a fab spot - calm and peaceful but right in the middle of The Haight and an easy walk to Golden Gate Park. Perfect!

Private entry, first-floor-sidewalk-level suite of living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath with artful touches in restored 1911 Edwardian. Close to beaches, GGate Park, GGate Bridge, groceries, cafes, restaurants on city-wide trolly line for memorable vacation/business/retreat. Easy drive to Marin.
The private suite, is clean and comfortable with original windows and doors providing natural light and fresh air. It's San Francisco living so you can be sure to hear the sounds of a trolley passing by and footsteps from family (and two friendly dogs) in the flat above. It’s real life in the City. SF STR permit number (4 zeroes) 949
We live in a friendly neighborhood with cafes and restaurants, national park, beaches and world-class museums, situated perfectly to explore San Francisco’s extraordinary cultural and natural beauty. Just step out the yellow door and take a short walk on the “neighborhood path” to Baker Beach. A little bit further in any direction will lead you right to the Golden Gate Bridge, Land's End and Ocean Beach. On your journeys walk through the neighborhood overlooking the Pacific Ocean to the Legion of Honor Museum in Lincoln Park, through Golden Gate Park to the DeYoung Museum and the Academy of Sciences. Afterward head over to the Arboretum for a picnic lunch next to its its lakes and gardens. If you prefer sidewalk fun, walk down Clement Street from 25th Avenue to Arguello (1st Avenue) stopping in at Green Apple Books with its extraordinary offering of new and used, explore the stores, and stop in at one of the many pubs and restaurants. Live like a local and take the California 1 electric trolley - aka the unofficial tour bus - the full 7 miles across the city to the Ferry Building (about a 2 hour walk.) On and off privileges on the trolley means you can step off when a neighborhood catches your curiosity - Fillmore District, Polk Gulch, North Beach - each has its own flavor and makes San Francisco such a great place to visit and live. If you are looking for a movie and dinner, there’s Pizetta 211 and the Four Star Theater just around the corner, two of our neighborhood’s not so secret gems. There's something for everyone.
  • This is a quaint, little apartment in a great location. The neighborhood is safe, easily walkable and close to the Golden Gate Bridge, beaches, parks, and great food. The apartment really has everything you need to stay there for awhile. It is in the basement with low ceilings, and it rained literally the entire time we were there so it felt a little dark and damp down there - I'm sure a little sunshine would take care of that, though! Parking was fine on most occasions, but we did have a very hard time parking one night of our stay, so I wouldn't rely on being able to find a close spot at all times. Dennis was a great host and gave us some great tips about the neighborhood.

    Rayanne & Lance2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis + Nancy's place was our favorite Airbnb EVER! Lovely, cozy little space with great amenities like heated mattress pad, space heater + shaded little courtyard for a cup of tea in the morning. Their place is a short walk to Baker Beach + the ocean. We hit the corner store for an It's-It on more than one occasion, and had the best dinner of our weekend at Pizzetta 211 just down the street. Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more!

    Kelly2018-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis and his wife were great hosts! The space is great, super clean and cozy! The bed was also comfy :) Great area. Pretty easy to find parking if you have a car. About 20 minutes from downtown area. Walking distance to Baker Beach (highly recommend!). Great pizza place around the corner as well. All around - very pleased! Highly recommend!

    Julia2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment is large enough for two with excellent facilities, generous provisions in the kitchen and bathroom; spotlessly clean and even the heated blanket had been switched on for our arrival on a cool evening in July. The neighbourhood is quiet and very interesting, just a 15 minute walk to Baker Beach through pleasant residential streets. Nancy had left some excellent maps and ideas of what to do locally and further afield. Would we like to have explored more of the area and it's interesting shops and restaurants, the excellent local pizza place and Russian bakery we did manage to indulge in. We found our hosts to be warm and welcoming with time to talk and make us feel comfortable. An excellent place to stay and explore San Francisco as we felt safe and relaxed. We will be back!

    Helen2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Excelent apartment!! Very confortable! Warm, with a very soft bed, great shower. Kitchen complete and very cozy living room. Dennis is a gentleman, very kind and available. We fully recommend!!

    Luis2016-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis's place is super lovely! We stayed there for a week in February and the studio was perfect for us. Especially the details of decoration and the hand drawn map made me so happy!

    Mari2017-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in San Francisco, the apartment was super clean and very comfortable. Being "first" floor there was no outlook. Entry passageway was uneven underfoot and not well lit. Very convenient for public transport, organic shop, laundromat and great café.

    Graeme2017-07-23T00:00:00Z

Relax around the fire pit on the private patio at this garden Craftsman studio. Smooth concrete, edison bulb lighting, and chunky furniture create an industrial look, while the open-plan layout keeps things relaxed and comfortable.
This studio promises to absolutely take your breath away upon first sight. Cool and romantic, carefully decorated and recently renovated by master architects; the space gives you plenty of room to breath while still retaining a sense of invigorating calm. Abundantly spacious with the addition of our beautiful back garden and shack - this home guarantees the stay of a life time.
The Outer Richmond holds all of the excitement of San Francisco while retaining a low-key feel. Nowhere else has unique and delicious eateries, a surfers' beach, museums, parks, hiking, and historical sites all within close walking distance.
  • A great place to stay when wanting a relaxing San Francisco experience. Close to the beach, hiking, parks and trails and we enjoyed our stay very much. Good Chinese takeout close by and very accommodating gracious hosts. When needing to get to downtown, Uber was a quick and cheap way to go. It rained quite a bit so we did not get to use the backyard but it was a beautiful view from inside the cozy digs. Would highly recommend!

  • We had a fantastic time at Josh and Lizzie's place. Great design and functionality (including access to a lovely garden) in a superb location near the beach, Golden Gate park & Land's End with easy access to good public transport to get around town. Hosts were communicative & responsive. Would definitely book again.

  • Our family of four spent three nights in this lovely location. We loved being so close to Golden Gate and the beach, a highlight for our little boys. We got in late the first night, but getting in was a breeze and the scent of the backyard flowers was there to greet us. The place is neat, clean and simple. The shower was nice and spacious with abundant towels. Joshua is a very helpful owner, we could hear a few footsteps upstairs, but it was not loud enough to be a bother. The location and yard are what really set this place apart.

    Betty2016-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Easiest SF weekend ever. Josh set us up in his place, it was great, quiet, away from it all. Thanks!

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Josh and Lizzie's place! It is conveniently located close to Golden Gate Park, the beach and hiking trails. Groceries were easily accessible and Josh's recommendations for coffee and pastries were spot on! The apartment is exactly as pictured on the listing - bright, clean and comfortable. Our only recommendation would be the addition of wine glasses ;) We definitely recommend this place!

  • What a beautiful clean room with En-suite bathroom. Comfy bed! Loved the retro fan and artwork! Fridge with cold water was a plus! Great location. Jeffrey was helpful and friendly. I wish we could have spent more time here since there is a lot to do!

  • Perfect! Jeff was a great host ... the room was super clean and the apt itself is in a great location. Would absolutely recommend!

    Ed2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey was extremely helpful prior to our arrival and was very welcoming on our arrival. He provided us with some very helpful advice regarding things to see and places to eat in the area. The room and private attached bathroom was beautiful. It was tastefully decorated in a modern style in a renovated Victorian house. The house was in a very good location for being able to explore San Francisco.

  • Jeff's place was great! Beautiful room with all the basics that you would need. Fantastic neighborhood with so much variety that even if you never left it, you would have a brilliant vacation. When you do leave, everything is about 10 to 15 mins away by uber, so very convenient also. Would love to stay here again!

  • We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect and he had great recommendations. We will definitely be back.

    Sean2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey's place is 5 stars and absolutely perfect. The neighborhood is very nice – we did lots of walking and felt very safe there. TONS of great places to eat & shop with a grocery store across the street. The room was clean & comfortable with a bathroom designed to perfection. Just as nice (or nicer) than any hotel. Jeff was very quick to respond to any messages / inquiries and often checked in with us during our stay as well as gave us tons of great recommendations about where (and where not) to go and what to do. I could go on... can't say enough nice things about it all! If / when we are back, we wouldn't think of any other place to stay.

Beautiful 1bedroom with balcony, classic bay windows and newly remodeled kitchen. Only 3 blocks from all the best shops, restaurants and night life in the city on Fillmore, Union and Chestnut. Walking distance from the Marina and Presidio. Best neighborhood in the city!
  • Blair's apartment is beautiful and in the absolute best part of town. I would recommend this place for anyone - new visitors to SF or those who know their way around town.

  • Blair was a wonderful hostess! The condo is gorgeous, and well equipped. The location is great for everything you'd want to see/do in the city. Plenty of amazing restaurants and public transit nearby. Only a short 10 min walk or so to beautiful walking paths along the bay. Coming back to the condo after a day of exploring was just what my wife and I needed to relax and recover from all the hilly walking one must do in SF. I can't believe how much cheaper it is than the hotels nearby, and how much richer our experience was for staying off the touristy beaten path. If/when I find myself in the city again I will definitely be checking on the availability of this house again, for sure!

  • My wife and I absolutely loved staying at Blair's listing. It is located on a nice quiet street which we appreciated because it was a nice place to retreat to after a long day of sightseeing in the city. The apartment itself was beautiful and we loved all the windows. One of the reasons we love doing airbnb is that we get to save some money and cook meals for ourselves and eating meals at the table surrounded by the big bay windows was a great way to start our days in San Francisco. Overall, we loved our stay in San Francisco and a big part of that was because we loved staying at Blair's listing.

  • What a great place to stay! Nearly perfectly equipped with everything you need, quality interior and furniture and with a lot of love in all the little things. It was worth the price and in the end very hard for us to leave. Is there's a 6 star rating? 5 is not enough ... Thank you Blair!

    Michael2015-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Blair's home was absolutely stunning and met our expectations if not exceeded them. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. Everything was clean and neat. The neighborhood was great. We felt very safe and at home. There were a lot of good restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance from the house. Blair is a great host and very accommodating. A 10 out of 10 experience! Thank you Blair.

    Mary2014-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. The communication from Blair was excellent and the flexible check-in/check-out times were a great help. The neighborhood is very pleasant and the perfect base for a few days in the city.

    Chris2016-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay!! This place is beautiful and the location is awesome. Blair was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We wore ourselves out sightseeing all day and it was so comforting to come "home" at the end of the day and feel right at home. This was our first experience with Airbnb and I'm glad it was, certainly recommended.

    Josh2014-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • I love Blair's apartment! It's really nice and perfectly located -close to Fillmore street filled with cute shops and cafe! The amenities were really great specifically the bed is so comfortable. Kitchen is gorgeous and nicely stock with spices etc. However note there wasn't a microwave which would have been convenient to re-heat leftover food etc. Blair was easy to reach and helpful with her recommendations on places to eat and visit in SF. Only opportunity area is the absence of closet space in the apt. If you have short stay that would be fine..but for longer stay would be nice to hang clothes etc. vs. living out of a suitcase. We would definitely recommend Blair's place to friends visiting SF!

We can provide a twin -size blow-up bed upon request, in the event 3 guests want to sleep on separate beds.
The building is located in the town center near the SF Civic Center, varied nightlife options, and tourist attractions. It’s just a few blocks from classical lures including the San Francisco Opera and ballet.
  • I loved the location of this apartment and the quiet of it. I stayed here for over a month and was very happy. Graciela greeted me the first day and explained everything and later attended quickly to the toilet which was running all night about two weeks in to my stay. She was responsive and helpful. I totally recommend this place.

    Todd2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Graciela's studio was clean, new, and very comfortable. I lived here with my partner for four weeks between our move from Denver to the Bay Area. It was a lovely place to call home for a few weeks. Graciela was very accommodating with my check in given that I arrived from Denver with four suitcases before my check in time. While we were there, SF experienced some seriously hot days and she graciously purchased a fan for us during that period. The studio is in the Tenderloin which has a reputation for a reason but I felt safe during the day but rarely ventured off at night when I imagine things get a little seedier (Graciela equipped the tv with Netflix so why would I leave...). Thanks for a great stay, Graciela!

    Jenna2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • LOVE IT! Super well located, beautiful just like in the pictures. Graciela and her husband were very kind!

    Lariane2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great cozy apartment-modest and modern and just as described in the photos. Land lady is good and responsive. Me and my husband had a lovely stay and will definitely be back in our next visit.

    Evangeline2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed almost 1 month and a half in their apartment. The apartment has excellent furniture and the layout/furnitures are very well thought of. The neighborhood is very quiet and close to the Civic center. I would definitely rent again from Carlos and Graciela!

    Karim2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • A really convenient, clean, and quiet place in the heart of the city. Plus parking! I'll definitely stay here again.

    Dave2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Carlos' place is amazing. It's clean, comfortable and most importantly really well equipped. I did not have to worry about getting around too. Buses around the area to downtown are fairly frequent. I liked it that they prepped the place well before my arrival with shampoo, soap, dishwashing detergent, cooking oil and i do not have to worry about such essentials upon arrival. A Walgreen's is in the ground level of this building. Overall loved it and would come back to stay.

    Shi Tong2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay. The room was modern and had pretty much everything I needed to settle in. Very safe--you need a key fob to go up the elevator. There was a Peet's coffee and a CVS just across Van Ness, which were both really convenient. I really appreciate Graciela's hospitality!

  • The room was perfect for our needs! Comfy, clean, and all the while good location. I was a bit hesitant at first by the reviews mentioning homeless people in the area but it wasn’t really noticeable (if you know SF homeless people are everywhere). check in + staff were all very nice and accommodating. I found the interior charming. We enjoyed our stay.

  • Clean hotel in a great location!

    Josh2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The bedroom we stayed at The Hotel Whitcomb was okay. Its good for just the night. The cleanliness was decent but, some areas of the bathroom looked like they used previous used amenities in there like the box of tissue for example. The place was under construction so it made is somewhat difficult to find the place from the picture. Also, they mentioned parking is first come first serve but in reality you have to pay for valet parking which for us was about $65/night or you can drive a few blocks down and try to look for parking. Over all id give this place 2.5 to 3 stars. Service was great but the location, environment was not that good.

    Marissa2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Hotel Whitcomb was a beautiful historic hotel right in the middle of everything! So convenient for sightseeing and shopping! It was a great value and so easy to check in and out! Thanks :)

The suite is conveniently located steps away from major bus lines and minutes from some of the best SF has to offer!! Located in sunny Silver Terrace neighborhood of San Francisco only a ten minute cab ride to the airport and ten more to the heart of the city. Close aproximity to freeways keeps cab ride fares low!
Enjoy your very own newly rennovated private suite. The suite is bright and airy. There's a quaint kitchen which is equipped with all the necessities to make a great meal (e.g. coffee maker, burner top, and toaster oven). A built-in table with swivel bar stools is across the way for a cozy sit down dining experience. The suite is outfitted with a queen Tempurpedic mattress for optimal sleeping comfortability. There is also a sofa which can be converted to a bed. I provide all the linens for the bed as well as the sofa sleeper. I have a flat screen Tv that can be connected to the internet with the use of your laptop. I do not have cable Tv. The bathroom is tucked behind a barn door for complete privacy. There's a frameless standing shower big enough for 2 people, vanity with plenty of counter space, and large walk-in closet. I provide hand soap, blow dryer, towels, and toilet paper. I believe you will really enjoy the space that I have created. Happy travels!
  • My wife was very concerned about noise being right next to the freeway, but this place is very quiet... practically sound proof. It is very clean, roomy, and well designed. We would definitely stay here again.

    Lee2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was super helpful from the getgo. Everything was very simple and well laid out... not to mention that the studio itself was STUNNING. For all the West Elm/Pottery Barn fans out there, this studio is for you. Thank you Lauren for letting us stay in your lovely studio. You helped make our SF trip memorable. :)

    Pia2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren was a great host and very responsive. Her apartment is clean, nicely decorated and located in the middle of downtown SF and the SF airport. Thanks again!

    Melanie2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren's place was beautiful & looked just as the pictures showed. Check in was extremely easy, door was unlocked with a key waiting on the inside. Although I never met Lauren, she was very in touch via text messages & didn't hesitate to answer any questions we had for her. If you have physical limitations, be aware that the only access is via satires (that are steeper than normal due to being in the Bay). All in all it was a beautiful place to stay & I'd definitely stay at Lauren's again.

    Danielle2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful room and useful amenities. About 15-20 from the city. Clear communication with Lauren! It’s right off the freeway but the noise isn’t heard inside. Missing this place already!

    Cindy2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish and clean. As nice as advertised. Lauren was an excellent host, responsive to messages, and offered local tips to us as newcomers to SF. Free parking was a bonus but we had quick access to public transportation and ride sharing. Definitely recommend to others and will consider for booking again in the future.

    Allie2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Small comfortable and nicely equipped apartment for two to three people. Nice style. Super friendly interactions with the host. The area seemed initially a bit run-down (and it is noisy due to the proximity of highways - not possible to keep windows open at night), but we ended up liking the easy acessibility of all parts of town via Uber/Lyft.

    Stefan2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren is so nice, place is cute, clean and in a great location! We actually had a lot of luck with parking on the street right next to hers :)

This spacious and newly renovated studio features spacious living area which opens directly onto a private deeded deck. Chef kitchen with electric range, custom cabinetry, breakfast bar, and CeasarStone countertops and common laundry in the building. Easy parking on the street.
The Studio has a private deck for customers for relaxation and a private library full of French books to explore(educational, culture, politic, etc). I am a French teacher in San Francisco.
The 24th street is half a block away and has tone of shops, shops and couple of bars included sport bars. There is a Walgreen store on 24th and Castro, four blocs down. Bank of America and WellsFargo are located on 24th street, between Castro and Noe. There is a WholeFood store between Noe and Sanchez.
  • This studio is in a lovely neighbourhood and has everything you need. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, comes with everything you need to cook for yourself plus a coffee maker. Loads of towels and pillows and a lovely bath. All in all very comfy stay.

    Hattie2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was very clean and quite. We stayed like home.

    Bohsuk2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described. We were able to park on the street easily and we got about once there by walking and using Lyft/Uber. Would definitely recommend this place when staying in San Fran. Found the bed really comfortable. The area was nice and there were some nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby. I’d recommend Rin’s Thai up the road. We walked to The Castro and The Mission easily as well.

    Florence2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place, in a quiet neighborhood that's close to some cool spots. You will need to use public transit (Uber & Lyft get expensive) to get to the main tourist spots, but Noe Valley & even Mission District is a nice walk down the hill from his place. As advertised, no surprises, excellent communication, clean. It is somewhat easy to hear upstairs neighbors (as I had seen in other reviews), but they were quiet at night, so this wasn't an issue. Would stay again, especially now that I'm familiar with the SFMTA.

    Alan2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Arcene's place was in the perfect location for a quick trip to San Francisco and easily accommodated two people. Everything went smoothly and I would definitely recommend this spot !

    Alexandra2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great AirBnB experience for us- while the location wasn't in the most active neighborhood, we enjoyed how quiet it was after a long day in the city. The bed was super comfortable and the check-in process was quick and easy. While the space wasn't huge, we had everything we needed for an excellent value in San Francisco.

    Zach2018-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place for a quick SF getaway. Very central to lots of areas, and a quiet street with a beautiful view on a sunny day. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood to grab coffee before our daily adventures.

  • Su was very attentive and had a perfect spot for visiting the city!

    Sienna2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely three night stay in the garden suite. It was immaculately clean, and very comfortable, especially the bed,, and we slept very well. The neighborhood is very safe and very quiet and we were able to walk just a couple of blocks and get the bus into the city. It was particularly good to have the keypad to get into the suite as we arrived late from the airport and did not want to disturb anyone. The weather was a little chilly while we were there, but on a warmer day, it would have been lovely to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the garden. Highly recommended, no problems at all, this was our first airbnb and if they are all like this we don't see the need to stay in a hotel again !

  • Beautiful neighborhood and easy to find. Parking was horrible but it is San Fransisco so you can't expect much else. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and appreciated that so many amenities were provided. I would've loved to stay for longer to utilize the outdoor space that was lovely.

  • Su's place was clean and cozy. We loved the garden, and the location was great too. Su's instructions were also clear and she was kind enough to check in on us, via email, after we checked in. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice comfy space for two people to retire to after a day of exploring the city.

  • This is great studio to stay for 2 people. The entire interior was very neat with gray&mint colors. We could take a shower with the warm water in a nice bathroom. Even though I was worried about the noise from upstairs, there's no noise and we could sleep well. Overall, It was really good place to stay! Thank you.

  • We loved our stay at Mulk Place and we would definitely stay here again!

  • Stephen and Bryan accommodation was amazing right from the start with early check in and the constant commutation, I loved how they put a lot off effort in attention to detail and the quirky touches the comfort of the bed was amazing the only thing that I had trouble with was the taps in the shower how to work it out after a while you get the hang of it.

    John2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen and Brian's place is in a great location! Very cool San Fransisco home. They have great touches such as brochures and trivia about SF. They were also very quick to respond and easy to communicate with.

    Ashley2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My only complaint is I wish I could have stayed longer! I stayed with my partner for one night before we left SF. The place is centrally located and easy to get around by foot or uber/lyft. Public transport is nearby as well. There's restaurants, bars and coffee shops near by. Stephen and Brian are great hosts, very hospitable and thoughtful. They're interesting hosts and lovely people. The room was bright, clean and comfortable. Many guides, pamphlets and cafe menus were in the room to give us an idea of things to do. I would return for sure!

    Sarah2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second venture into the world of Airbnb, and my first sharing a space with an Airbnb host(s). I think it is safe to say most people express a bit of worry going into a shared space situation when traveling- there are so many variables at play. If I had any concerns beforehand, they were put to rest as soon as we arrived. From the Library Suite we stayed in, to the cats, to our hosts Brian and Stephen who offered up an abundance of great information about San Francisco, we had an enjoyable first experience (both in shared lodging and in travels to SF)! I recommend considering their home as you plan your vacation.

    Genevieve2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment and Stephen is an awesome host!

  • They are really kind. The cats was so cute

    Jiwon2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with my partner at Brian & Stephen’s place on a holiday. The room is great, in a good location with good transport links and easy to walk to most areas in the city (Castro, Mission, Haight Ashbury, Corona Heights). In addition, Brian & Stephen are great hosts, happy to share tips and historical information about the city. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

    Danai2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great space in a great location! We loved everything about our visit to SF, especially this room. It is close to many very interesting neighborhoods, and the hosts were open and interested in helping us find fun adventures and food

You'll love this listing w/ your breathtaking balcony! Comes w/ 2 rooms, personal massage chair, memory foam mattresses, TV w/ free Netflix, Prime Video, & Disney+, full kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove/oven), 2 bathrooms (shared w/ other guests), free/easy street parking, easy access from SFO (14min drive) & downtown SF (15min drive, 3min walk to T Muni line to downtown). The smaller second room (w/ full bed) is connected to and accessed through larger front room (w/ queen & twin bed & futon).
All of the beds are memory foam and very comfortable! Please note that while your rooms are 100% private with a lock on it that only you will have, you will be sharing the kitchen and two bathrooms with three other Airbnb rooms. This is part of the fun though as you can meet different people from around the world who are staying here with you. Access to the kitchen and bathrooms is usually fine as most people spend the majority of their time out and about in the city, but sometimes during peak travel times you may feel the house being a little more full. So to be very clear, you will see several other Airbnb guests in the home who are living close to you (the nature of such a dense city as San Francisco) and sharing the kitchen and bathrooms, but as you can see in the reviews that my guests have loved their time here as people are usually very friendly and respectful. You're two bedrooms are connected, and you will need to go through one to get to the other from the balcony or to the kitchen and bathrooms (as seen in the pictures). So these are not two fully separate bedrooms. You also have a space heater in your room so that you can control your temperature. Whether you are coming in the summer or the winter, you will enjoy the weather here in San Francisco as it is usually between 60 and 75 degrees, making your balcony a very enjoyable experience all year round. There is nothing better than after a day of enjoying the sites to be able to come back and sit under the stars and see the beautiful views of SF on a back deck! We live in one of the best areas in San Francisco for parking. Most places you'll need to pay for parking or drive around for a while looking, but on my block there is free parking and you'll usually be able to park right by my house. The only time it'll be a little harder is late at night but even then you should be able to find a spot within a block or two.
Your stay will be in the Bayview District. It's a historic community with a lot of amazing character and people. You can look up more info online if you'd like to learn more.
  • Very communicative. Easy check in. Clean. Would recommend!

  • Everything was fine and just as described. We just stayed for one night and did not have a lot of time, so we appreciated the easy check-in and check-out, the free parking on the street and the possibility to get to Downtown San Francisco by Tram. Everything went smooth for us!

  • The staff here are super friendly and were very helpful for me during my first trip to San Francisco. The location was close to where I needed to be for my business trip, but if you are here for tourism, it is great too! Nestled into Chinatown, the hotel is close to many things and a short walk or ride to other San Franciscan attractions. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The only thing I think that would improve them is a mini-fridge in the rooms and a fan, but otherwise everything was great!

    Matthew2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • This location is great if you need to be in the middle of the financial district. This is close to a lot of good food and drink places. It's nice to walk outside and be surrounded by great culture.

  • Budi was very kind and hospitable. He's very likable and I enjoyed the few times that we socialized while I was his guest. The room was just what I needed. Cozy, comfortable, and quiet. The kitchen and bathroom were clean and uncluttered. The neighborhood was a great location! Easy access to the MUNI bus routes, and within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and a few bars. I intend to return to San Francisco again and Budi's Airbnb will be my first choice for a place to stay.

    Jace2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Budi was a great host. Even his room mate. I would come here again because it was good for the money and also good links to the City. This place is a good place to stay if you will be out most of the time. I really loved living with Budi though. Great host and very welcoming.

  • Budi was a fantastic host. He really made us feel welcome. When we arrived we met Pat who was very helpful with local knowledge supermarkets and bus routes. We were staying in room 2 it was very quiet and peaceful. It is only a bus ride away from downtown. Budi had snacks awaiting us when we arrived. I would definitely stay with Budi on our next trip to San Francisco.

My home is a sunny, 3-story Victorian house in the center of San Francisco, in a tranquil neighborhood called Noe Valley. We have many nearby restaurants and shops. I'm one mile from the heart of Mission District, one hill away from The Castro, and it's easy to take the streetcar to Union Square and The Embarcadero. Your bedroom has a queen-sized bed and shares a bathroom with other guests. Free street parking available with some restrictions. SF Short-Term Rental Reg #STR1278
The available bedroom has wood floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light. It has one queen-sized bed and comes with towels and bedding.
My neighborhood is called Noe Valley and it is known for its sunshine and peaceful atmosphere. It is a short walk from my house to the Mission District, which has some of the best restaurants in the city and much more nightlife.
  • Even while traveling, Maria’s communication was prompt and helpful. Stunning house. So glad I booked, and can’t wait to stay again.

    Alexander2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maria’s place is stunning! Downstairs was more spacious than I imagined, the kitchen fully equipped and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a meal. Our room was warm and cosy and fit our crib rental nicely. Neighborhood was great for a young family, quiet and beautiful with lots of other kids. Sharing the bathroom wasn’t a problem.

  • Great location & lovely amenities throughout home.

    Crystal2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Maria's is a good value by San Francisco standards. The room was clean and comfortable. Check-in was very easy as there is a keypad on the door to let yourself in. What I found disappointing was the fact that there are three bedrooms upstairs with one shared bathroom. 6 guests for one bathroom can be challenging. However, the bathroom was always very clean and the other guests were quiet.

Imagine falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves. This clean, quiet garden apartment is perfect for the nature loving city dweller. Steps from the beach, Golden Gate Park, the Zoo and more. Ample street parking and MUNI train 2 blocks away.
Private in-law apartment offering 2 beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable rooms. The bedroom includes a queen bed with crisp linens a down comforter, warm wool rug, beautiful art and closet and dresser for your belongings. The second room is a living space with a couch that converts to a full bed, a separate comfortable reading chair and lamp. The 42" flat screen is equipped with Apple TV and high speed wireless internet. The kitchenette is fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes. A microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, 5 cup coffee maker, electric induction counter top range and small fridge complete the kitchen and make it operational for light cooking. Complimentary coffee, tea and a bottle of wine offered to all guests. The private bathroom is small but bright and clean with shower over tub, complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. The private garden has a bistro table making it a perfect spot for morning coffee while listening to the waves and surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. Ample, free street parking available in the neighborhood.
The "outerlands" as this area of the city used to be called is where nature meets urban, widely and wonderfully. Families, surfers, artists, hipsters, techies and eccentrics come together to create a multicultural neighborhood that is dominated by the ocean and the sky! Really I think the Sunset District is San Francisco's best kept secret. It is clean and safe and quiet at night. You are about a half hour from the hustle and bustle of downtown (by car or public transport). Out here the streets are wider, the backyards bigger, and free parking is easy to find. People who like the outdoors love the location, especially for surfing, jogging, cycling, and hiking. Typically the Sunset can be foggy in June and July, but is clear and beautiful most of the rest of the year. Fall is stellar. Yearly temperatures hover in the 60-65 degrees. Golden Gate Park is only 4 blocks north and is filled with absolutely everything you can imagine: free concerts, archery ranges, entertainment pools, beautiful gardens, a bison paddock, polo field, duck ponds, and everything that you could possibly imagine! Including, The Academy of Science Museum, De Young art museum, and Japanese Tea Garden, The Arboretum and Conservatory of Flowers, plus great hiking, running and biking trails. We're also a popular destination for marathon participants and concert-goers, with events nearby like Bay to Breakers, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival, and Outside Lands. There is a beautiful 5 mile walking path directly across from my home. It spans from Sloat Blvd. to the Cliff House/Sutro Baths. Popular restaurants include: Thanh Long, Outerlands, Cliff House, Beach Chalet & Brewery, Celia's Mexican Restaurant, Sunset Reservoir Brewery Company, Devils Teeth Bakery, Andy Town Coffee shop, Java Beach Café and many more. Great choice of shops selling locally made surfboards, jewelry and art... The Last Straw, San Franpsyco apparel, Establish and The General Store just to name a few.
  • My stay at Heather’s place was amazing! The room was very clean and neat, and the backyard was a great place to relax. She had a guidebook that was very helpful in navigating around San Francisco. Also her home is centrally located, so the park and connivence stores are very close by. My boyfriend and I especially enjoyed the nearby coffee shop and book store. Lastly, her home is mere steps from the beach which was perfect!

    Cherish2019-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Heather was a great host. Had clear instructions regarding check in. Her apartment had many small touches that made our stay perfect. Parking was abundant and had easy access to the MUNI. I would definately stay again.

    Ilona2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Loved being across the way from the ocean and walkway

    Cheryl2017-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Heather's apartment, it was a real home away from home! So comfortable, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. Heather was very accommodating and so lovely! We found the location ideal, a calm away from the hustle and bustle of downtown SF and Fishermans Wharf. So close to a stunning beach but also so close to the N-Judah line, which will take you directly into central SF. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Heather for an amazing stay!

    Emma2016-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place close to the beach. Well furnished, clean and functional with a charming garden. The sit out area in the back is a great touch. The suggestions/ places to go guides were very helpful. Highly recommended!

    Amrith2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's place was great. The accommodations were clean and everything was easy to access. It was an easy Uber/Lyft ride to all main attractions in San Francisco. I would definitely consider staying there again in the future.

    Kristen2018-06-22T00:00:00Z

    Xiaonan2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • After getting in, I described my room enthusiastically to others at my conference as the awesome version of Harry Potter's cupboard. The listing was very clear about its size and it was perfect, since I really only need a place to crash and shower between long days at the conference. Josh was extremely helpful about answering questions before my arrival, including move in times and late night access. The room had nice little touches, like a mounted power strip by the bed, art, and towels + washcloth. The shared bathroom was never a problem and always well stocked. A great stay.

    Matthew2018-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for three nights. The bedroom was small, as advertised, clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean too, and I didn't have any problems. The location of the house is great, not only because of the history and vibe of the neighborhood but because it's central and there are coffee shops and a great market near by.

    Alejandra2014-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Josh's place is great; and I highly recommend staying here. It was exactly what I needed: a comfortable place to lay my head, in a great area - and right by Golden Gate Park. Check in and communication were great. Thanks again, Josh!

    Leigh2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication! It is as advertised

    Amol2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Room 5 at the top of the stairs was the perfect room for me while while hubby was in the hospital! Josh was so kind and welcoming! The front door was open when I arrived and the door to "my" room was open when I got to the top...made me feel like a welcomed guest for sure! The bed and bedding were crisp, clean, and cozy...even when the weather outside got cool and dreary. Lots to see, and eat, well within easy walking! Josh was even able to accommodate an unexpected additional nights stay.

    Mary2013-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb and I had a fantastic experience. Josh was a great host and easy to get in contact with. The house is clean and in a great location. I would definitely stay here again when I visit San Francisco.

    Adam2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This room was great! I didn't get to meet Josh, but he answered email quickly and left me with no questions. I stayed two nights as I was in the city for business with a little tourism on the side. The room is on the third floor, up a little staircase--manageable with my suitcase but I had a close call once! :) Definitely recommend if you want a good neighborhood and a place to sleep!

This is a tiny hostel in a house! Since we opened in 2014 we've had: - more than 4,000 guests - countless friendships! - multiple marriages from guests meeting here This is the place for you if you love: - meeting people from all over the world - making new friends - going on adventures in our pretty city - chill vibes (e.g. 420 friendly) - dogs (we have a pup!) and don't mind: - sharing space with others (4 per room)
I just asked some of our guests how to describe this space and they said: "Cozy", "Homey", "Welcoming", and "Respectful". There's a comfy living room with board games and guitars! Also, two bathrooms with hair dryers and plenty of towels
We're in the best part of the Mission with a rock climbing gym, incredible food, and the best coffee, all under a 5 minute walk. We're happy to show you the best local hangouts, bars, etc.
  • Had a really good stay at Zain and Duncan's place. All very relaxed and friendly. I stayed two nights, and it was a fun place to hang out. Would certainly recommend if you're looking for a good base from which to explore San Francisco and meet fun and interesting people. :)

    Gwilym2017-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • I only got to meet Zain once but he was the kindest host you could imagine. Very warm and friendly! The place itself had a great laid back atmosphere. It was clean and spacious and everyone I met was lovely! Btw I'm not a dog person at all but Roux was the cutest. Would definitely book this air bnb next time I make it to San Francisco!!

Have had an amazing 4 days and Zain was a 'hella' great host, as were Roux and Duncan 2.0 (aka Kat) who all made me feel completely at home from the minute I arrived Such a fun week, I'm just sorry I had to run without leaving a note (I may have overslept and nearly missed my flight...) but I snapped a quick selfie and there's a postcard headed your way! Thanks for everything guys, and I seriously recommend the clubhouse to anybody looking for a place to stay in San Francisco!

    Angelina2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Zain and Duncan's place is a host to many friendly people around the world. I arrived very late for check in so I wasn't able to be oriented but a few more established residents readily helped me out. Everything was relatively smooth. I would recommend more and clearer written instructions / directions around the house tho especially for those coming late at night (esp those new to the hostel environment). Nevertheless, great value in SF - near to many great eateries and transport!

  • I had a great time at Treat! What a friendly place this is — they are truly sharing their home with you. I felt very comfortable and safe, and able to ask for anything I needed. There was excellent and fun conversation in the evenings. The neighborhood has a diverse assortment of food, folks, and shops with the BART about ten-minutes by foot; I really enjoyed it!

    Corey2015-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really great and cool place where you meet future friends. I am happy for this experience.

    Matjaž2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The atmosphere Zain and Duncan created is amazing, it feels so welcoming and open, homey. Everyone i met was also pretty cool and i am sure this is because a place like this enables that. Its located in a pretty convenient place in a lively neighborhood, i am positive i'll be staying there next time i visit.

    Emil2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Good location. Hosts are experienced. They give me great info about how to get to them late night from an airport, it helped a lot. The place was welcoming. I felt safe and comfortable. Shared a room with only one girl. And it made my experience smooth and pleasant.

You'll love this listing! This is a cozy private room w/ queen memory foam bed (& twin air mattress), personal massage chair, & TV w/ free Netflix, Prime Video, & Disney+. You'll have access to kitchen (fridge, microwave, stove/oven, dishes, coffee, etc.) & 2 bathrooms (shared w/ other guests). Free/easy street parking. Be a quick 14 min drive from SFO, 3 min walk to T train (takes you downtown, AT&T Park, Chase Center), and a 13 min drive to downtown. You'll have great access to all of SF!
Also please note that the skylight above you is the only window access in this room. We live in one of the best areas in San Francisco for parking. Most places you'll need to pay for parking or drive around for a while looking, but on my block there is free parking and you'll usually be able to park right by my house. The only time it'll be a little harder is late at night but even then you should be able to find a spot within a block or two.
  • Super nice and clean and not far from the pier or golden gate park or the beach. I’d definitely come back here when I visit.

    Mohamed2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! Would come again! The house and rooms are lovely and clean, and downtown SF is only 20 minute train away.

  • As advertised. Easy street parking. Convenient to the Metra transit which we used. Looking for a cheap stay and this was it.

  • Hosts Sean and Selah are very helpful and mice and give you information your need.

    Bun2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Sean's home. Everything was as described and very clean. Sean communicated with me throughout the whole stay and made accomdations to allow me to check in at an odd time. The neighborhood was not the best looking, but I would still rate location at 5 stars as the house was extremely secure and safe, also 20 min from the airport which was a big plus.

  • Perfect place to crash for a night. My boyfriend and I got to explore the area a bit before heading over to Yosemite. Andy was also very accommodating when we were trying to book. I would definitely consider staying here again if I find myself in SF!

    Kaitlyn2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Andy's place was convenient, clean and comfortable. Andy was an excellent host and I was delighted at his thoughtfulness in all aspects of hosting.

  • 5 stars great spot Andy is top notch as a host

    James2019-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Andy's place was in a wonderful location, close to great food! His personal touches for guests throughout the house were very impressive. His check-in and out process was seamless. I would recommend to others!

    Alexis2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Andy’s place was clean, comfy and quiet. Location was great & close to everything I needed. Friendly host & good vibes. Highly recommend

    Jie2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Andy’s place is nothing short of spectacular. Location: perfect - one of the best neighborhoods in SF, with great accessibility to BART. Cleanliness - immaculate. Communication - didn’t miss a beat. Home - never any questions about where things were, plenty of extra everything (including shampoo, conditioner, and other last-minute necessities!), and it’s a beautiful spot. The shared bathroom was gorgeous, and the separate toiletries cabinet for each room was an incredible touch. Friendliness - nailed it, super great guy. Bedroom - very comfortable bed, and rather enjoyed choosing my own sheets and pillow cases myself. On the whole, feels like you’re staying with friends place rather than an impersonal AirBnB - easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had, and as a Superhost myself, I overwhelmingly agree that Andy is a Superhost indeed. Highly recommend!

    Jonathan2018-12-24T00:00:00Z

Stay at our Artsy home in SF's Portola District. One bedroom available in our home with kids & two cats. Great Hikes! WE LIVE IN THE HOME. We do get up early and there is some AM noise. 2 min walk to bus & 15 min ride to subway. 15 drive downtown or 45 min on bus/train. Easy freeway access! 15 min drive to SFO airport! Come enjoy a quiet getaway from the hubbub of the City... We are NOT close to tourist area but it's a sweet spot. Lots of street parking!
Guests love the bed! The bedroom is decorated and has simple furniture. See photos.
Visit Maclaren Park to hike! Breakfast at Tiffany's is super yummy! Four Barrel Coffee is also great! There is a grocery store called Grocery Outlet about 10 blocks away. And we have a new brew pub in the hood, Ferment Drink Repeat! 10 min drive to Bernal Heights where there are some more restaurants, bars, and cute shops.
  • Nice spot in the Portola neighborhood, welcoming family and a well decorated home.

    Lazar2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle has great tips about where to eat nearby. If you’re interested in hiking, McLaren Park is literally right there. Her cats are extremely friendly and sweet. Good coffee in the morning!

  • The room was stylish and private. A short drive to the city, a great neighborhood, and plenty of parking!

  • Loved Michelle's cozy, artsy casa. The space is sweet, location neat and Michelle is a wonderful hostess.

    Mary-L.2019-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was quite short but I really enjoy Michelle’s quirky and charismatic home. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood next to a big park; a 20 min drive from the airport and downtown SF. There are street parkings but it is a bit tricky on a steep hill with lots of driveways The room itself is clean and quite large with good ambient in the morning. She also has two curious cats that would sometimes follow you around.

  • Michelle was such a wonderful host. She wasn't just a host, she was a friend. She made sure to make me feel welcomed in her cozy home. I stayed there for a little over 3 weeks and I felt like family! Her kids are a pleasure and each of us bonded well with each other. The whole house is a creative artistic bunch! Definitely was a perk. A lot of positivity flowing through this atmosphere. Michelle was very helpful and supportive as I transitioned my way from Florida into San Francisco. Oh, and she might possibly have the best view of San Francisco. So add that to the list. :)

Super stylish private space in downstairs flat; you have your own entrance and it feels like a studio apartment. Queen size bed, closet, table, chairs, Wireless, Roku TV, shower, toilet, sink and laundry. My street only lasts for two blocks, making free street parking right outside the house very easy. There is not a lot of foot traffic as well, making the neighborhood very quiet. San Francisco Short Term Residential Rental Number: STR-(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
The house is on a flat street but to get to the street you have to go up on a fairly steep hill. I have provided a lot of home amenities and will do my best to make you feel cozy. Let me know if you need something special and feel free to email me questions. There is a guidebook with instructions to public transportation that you can see once you book the space.
The space is in a semi-quiet, residential neighborhood. The street consists of all stand alone houses and is family oriented. This is a great place to stay if you like total quiet while you are sleeping. I have lived in many neighborhoods in San Francisco and this is the only one where I can have totally uninterrupted sleep.
  • Max's place was a great place to stay for our (my husband and I) 5night trip to SF. Check-in was really easy which was much appreciated since we arrived around midnight. We also appreciated having significantly more space than we would have in a hotel room, as well as a kitchenette setup and all the basic essentials. The location was a decently cheap Uber/Lyft ride to/from SF (especially during off peak). We also recommend Eggs Benedict at Big Joe's which is an 8min walk away (it does involve a steep slope so wear appropriate shoes).

  • Everything was perfect. The room was in order, as was the rest of the house. Michael was welcoming and showed us our space. The neighbourhood is very cute.

    Hector2015-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a great host. Communication is quick and seamless. House is as described. I don't think I need to add any additional information as the other guests had very detailed reviews. 100% agree with others comments about michael's friendliness and hospitality; the cleanliness of the house and convenice of the location. (P.S. Michael recommended a list of restaurants. We tried PLOW, a short drive from his house. Highly recommend this place for brunch)

  • I immediately felt welcomed into Michael's home. Check-in was right on time. They provided me with recommendations of where to eat and places to see. I felt comfortable coming and going when I pleased. They were polite and quiet and offered me breakfast in the morning. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. I would recommend this site to anyone!

    Katie2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in SF. Michael was super hospitable, the room was cozy and clean, the shower was luxurious (the towels are so thick), and the back patio was a nice retreat for morning coffee (or late night wine). Make sure to hike up to Bernal Heights Park and check out the amazing view! Great location. Everything exceeded our expectations and we would absolutely recommend staying here.

    Melody2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Vernon were very helpful and accommodating. The room was comfortable and as advertised. We did have a minor issue with some visiting raccoons on our first night but they did not return. Parking in SF is very difficult and Michael made room in front of the garage do we could park there. Their street is quite steep as are the steps to the front door so I wouldn't recommend this for any elderly or disabled individuals but it should be great for anyone else.

  • Great place but she never answered when we texted her that the heater was not working. It is a green eco something heater and it does not heat at all. Place smells lile weed all the time.

  • Great stay - comfy bed, clean, and great location. The only thing (minor) is having furnishings - it was a big empty room and found it difficult to find surface areas to put my things.

    Anna2019-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very clean and stylish, along with the rest of the common areas! The communal kitchen was beautiful and the amenities closet was full of supplies (even a small heater which was perfect). The location was close for us to walk to restaurants, stores, and bars(there was an old theater turned into an arcade bar). Grabbing an Uber or Lyft was easy and the price was not bad for going ALL over the city. The check in process was easy and would definitely read the instructions for the doors. We would definitely come back!

  • This was my second time staying with Sonder in this location. Really unique property. The mansion has a lot of interesting spaces, and a large common kitchen, and places to store your food, should you wish to chef it. Sparse but immaculate rooms, equipped with a sound machine (love!), space heater, and cooling fan. Huge bathroom and very comfy bed. Easy check-in/out...all done via computer/phone.

This is a nice room in a four bedroom house in the Mission District. It has a very comfy queen sized bed, plus an extra bed/chair can be pull out for extra guest. There is a swing, huge windows that face the street, fast internet connection, Smart TV and access to a drum set that you can use during your stay. You also would have access to our unit downstairs with an extra kitchen and bathroom/shower and the chance to meet fellow travelers.
The house sits right next to the oldest standing house in San Francisco, our house is about the same age, with its quirks and weird architectural design. It might not be fancy but has a lot of character and charm. There is a toilet/sink room and a separate shower room with an extra sink, a large kitchen and laundry area in the back.
The house is located just one block away from all the fun of 24th st. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, galleries, markets and street art around. The Mission is one of the districts that offers more fun in San Francisco, there are plenty of restaurants, galleries, coffee shops, bars and clubs to visit. Lots of parks too: Potrero Del Sol park, Garfield Square and Precita Park are just a short walk away. ~~PARKING INFORMATION~~ There is no private parking in this building, only street parking. San Francisco has one of highest real estate prices in the country (or world) which makes private parkings a luxury that not too many residents enjoy. If you are bringing a car into the city (not recommended unless you are doing road trips outside) please plan ahead and be aware that traffic, driving directions and parking in the city might be a hassle, especially if you are not familiar with local traffic and parking rules. Your car might be parked free in most streets around the house but pay attention to the posted parking restrictions, time limits, cleaning days, red or yellow zones, blocking driveways etc. This rules are enforced and fines are very expensive. The closest private garage is by SF General Hospital (about 2 blocks away) On 24th st between Utah and San Bruno fares are about $15/night.
  • This is a pretty cool place as per the pics, and great location in the Mission, albeit a bit of a gritty area for those not familiar. Good value especially for a night or two, though I can understand that people who aren't into student share house-style accommodation might want bigger, newer shower and kitchen facilities. Like most places in San Fran, it's pretty small but I was expecting that. My daughter and I enjoyed the drumset room and the roof access, and we met some nice fellow travelers in the communal kitchen. We were glad everyone was well behaved and not noisy at night. (Pretty lightweight curtains so consider a sleeping mask if that's an issue for you. We appreciated the room's street view.) We spent most of our time and meals out though.

  • Great spot to stay in the mission district. Exactly as advertised, with large bedroom and shared bathroom. Street noise is definitely noticeable, so light sleepers be prepared with earplugs.

  • Our stay in the green hut was fine. Communication was good and arrival was very easy. The house and rooms are as described, indeed quite quirky but fun. We didn't actually see anyone in the house during the whole stay which was a little disappointing but not a problem. The guitar in the drum set room needs a new string but the ukulele was fine

  • The room was dirty and unkept. When we first arrived I wanted to leave straight away, we didn’t want to use the kitchen and hardly used the bathroom as it had mould all over it. However, we was hardly there because we was exploring San Francisco and when we did get back we slept well. The TV is a good touch.

  • This room is a great value, but bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The bathroom appeared to have some black mold so I'd also bring flip flops. Bed was pretty thin, but it gets the job done. Think something just above a hostel.

  • Leon was a great host and was very quick to respond. I also really liked the decorations around the room. However, I wished the home was cleaner for the price.

  • Amazing place.. best room is the drum room!!

    Alix2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room is exactly how it’s described by Leon. In fact, it was a little bit bigger than I expected. The room, and the house in general, has a very home-y feel about it. It’s definitely a room that’s been lived in so don’t book it and expect it to be like a hotel room. My only complaint about the room itself is that since it has three huge windows overlooking the street, it can be really loud at night. I had a hard time sleeping the first night because all I could hear were the rumblings of passing cars/busses and random chatter in the street. So bring earplugs. In addition, be forewarned that the bathrooms are shared and are a little bit cramped. If you’re a bit more on the introverted side this may present as a challenge. Leon himself was a great host. Didn’t really get to interact with him or with the other individuals living in the house. They pretty much gave me my own space and never did I feel like they were “watching” me throughout my stay. Leon also responds really quickly to any inquiries you might have. Overall, I’d recommend booking this place, especially if you’re the type of person who’s very low maintenance and values affordable prices more than aesthetics.

Our downstairs studio is like a hotel room with its own entrance, a kitchenette, bathroom and a comfy bed. Our home is close to public transportation and lots of shops, restaurants and parks. It is near the lively Mission district and quaint Cortland Ave. There is easy access to 80, 101 and 280 if you're driving south or east. Its best for 1 or 2 people, but might be able to accommodate a couple with 1 child. A small dog would be okay, but there is no outdoor area.
The studio is about the size of a small hotel room, with a queen size bed, smart TV you can watch your own streaming service on, breakfast table and chair, a side chair. There is a closet for your use. The kitchenette includes an under-counter refrigerator, sink, and microwave, as well as an electric kettle and a French press coffee maker. We provide coffee and tea for you to make yourself. There are glasses, mugs, plates and bowls. There is silverware, a can opener, a bottle opener. We provide granola, oatmeal and some light snacks or breakfast items. The shower and toilet are each behind a wall for privacy, and there is a heavy curtain separating the bathroom from the studio. There is a door for the toilet. However, the bathroom is not a completely separate room, so the studio is best for people who are comfortable with one another. Our studio is cozy and quiet, and with the curtain pulled to cover the glass entry door, it is quite private. There is no outdoor space. There is a smart TV and you can sign into your own streaming TV service.
Our home is in Bernal Heights. We are on the North-West corner, and our home has a view of both Twin Peaks and Downtown, although there is not a view from the studio. Bernal Heights is hilly, with great views, some steep streets, stairways and tiny parks tucked into side streets. From the park at the top of our hill, there is a 360-degree view of the City, including the bay, the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate bridge, Twin Peaks, Downtown, Mt Diablo and south to the airport. During baseball season and at the 4th of July, fireworks are often visible from our hill. There is a very sweet commercial street with restaurants, shops and a library. Several parks are nearby for strolling, playing, picnicking and dogs. Our neighborhood is south of the Mission neighborhood, but still within walking distance of the lively nightlife there. It is quieter and cleaner than some of the Mission streets, but not so far from the center that anything is difficult to get to. Bernal Heights was voted America's Hottest Neighborhood in 2014 on the real estate site Redfin: (URL HIDDEN)
  • Angela's place has a lot of little touches that make it special!

    Bruce2019-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! She thought of everything when setting up the place, it was really nice.

  • I booked Angela's place quickly and unexpectedly. In town for a conference, I learned my hotel stay and flight home didn't sync up and snatched it up. This place was great for my overnight stay and made a good home base. Just south of the Mission, it's close to a lot of great restaurants and other nightlife. Angela also left some great materials if you're new to the city and looking for suggestions. The place is compact, but it had everything I needed. It might feel cramped for two, but I'd perfect for a solo traveler. Fair warning, if you're walking from transit, there is some uphill walking. Fine on your own, but you might work a little sweat dragging a suitcase.

  • Angela is an awesome host! Super communicative and helpful. She sent me an article with reviews of over a dozen local restaurants. The room is small but comfortable, conveniently located about a 15-minute walk from BART, and just a couple of blocks from Mission Street, with its amazing variety of great food and people watching. Recommended!

  • It's a beautiful studio, just what you need for your stay in SF. Angela was responsive and the area is nice and safe. I surely recommend it!

    Carlos2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised - well-designed, efficient use of the space. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Good location for what we wanted (near the Mission with easy parking). A pleasant walk to the Mission, maybe 15 mins, but a steep trek back up so a cheap Uber ride is worth it.

    Emmalee2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very roomy. Perfect for a getaway couple. I loved everything about the house. Microwave, fridge, bed was super comfy. Curtains to cover to shower and door to use the toilet. Even though there was no TV it was fine because there was wifi. House was away from the city (30 min depending on traffic). Only bad part of the trip was trying to check in and parking. We were waiting for almost 2 hours outside the house that I had to call air bnb customer service to help me contact the host. Angela is very fast in responding when we booked the trip but I do not know what happened for the miss communication. Parking can be hard especially at night. We had to park two hills up. Angela was generous to let us check out later since we didn't check in on time.

  • Angela’s place is the perfect bernal heights spot. Easily you can walk to the mission and joe valley within 10 minutes. Her spot is small but perfect if your just coming and going. I would say best for 1-2 people! It was super clean and she had coffee and tea and some snacks too! Thanks!
