Places to stay in New York

Places to stay in New York
Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 500+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods, the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast and few blocks from the new Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • Our stay was perfect. The loft is centrally located to many shops and good food. Also the subway station is very close which was extremely convenient. Carol and Marc were so kind and helpful in checking us in and giving us good pointers for our stay. They were also kind enough to let us keep our bags inside before and after check out hours. The place was very clean and they had the most comfortable bed of any airbnb ive stayed in! I would definitely stay here again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here! Carol and Marc are great hosts. They gave us a lot of tips and helped us when needed. The apartment is very well located, close to the Subway, perfect to explore the city. We highly recommend this place to everybody!

    Ellen2015-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc were wonderful! Carol was right at the curb when we arrived and helped us out of the car and into her flat...so helpful! Gracious with water, whatever we needed, and letting us use the kitchen, living room...etc. Marc was great with history knowledge, honest recommendations, and very positive personality. Both Carol and Marc were very sweet and kind to my young daughter who was traveling with me. Completely understanding and accommodating:). I would love to come back! I definitely recommend them as trust worthy hosts!

    Katherine2015-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed the best New York trip thanks to my superhost. Because it is a very convenient place, I enjoyed reasonable and delicious food at the restaurant she told me. I recommend the Loft to my daughters and friends. Thank you very much Carol,Marc! I will come back to New York.

  • Carol and Marc made this a great experience for our visit to the city. They were great at communicating and answering any questions we had. They had a beautiful and well kept apartment, and they were super accommodating. We will definently book with them again. Happy Stays!!!

  • Worth staying!!!

    Vicente2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc were the most welcoming hosts and they immediately made us feel so much at home. Their apartment is wonderful... loads of room and very clean. We had our own bathroom which is such a bonus. Carol and Marc were able to provide us with great tips for travelling around NY and also ideas of where to eat in their local area (full of great little bars and restaurants). The metro is close by and easy to use (buy a metro pass). They are great conversationalists and we had some very lively and interesting discussions... great sense of humour!! It was a pleasure and a treat staying at LES Loft. Thank you Carol and Marc.

    Debra2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! Carol may be one of the nicest and most gracious ladies I have ever met. The loft and room are spectacular and I could not have felt more comfortable during my weekend stay. The personal touch of freindliness is not to be underplayed as I was on a stressfull business trip and the hosts's amazing and fun attitude took the edge off enough for me to me successfull in my meetimgs!

  • Jeffrey is a great communicator about check in, and also helped to take my suitcase up and down the apartment. He has local knowledge and offers good information for places around New York. Only down side is the bathroom is next to his bed. The location is great, close to everything. Bedroom is private and comfortable.

  • The host very kind , the apartment totaly near with all thing , apartment clean and comfortable.

    Aditya2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey's flat is not chic or large or modern or good for a couple or near street level (5th floor walk up) and the way to the bathroom is through his bedroom but he is a charming, intelligent, curious and well-informed New Yorker and staying there was a treat in its way and not easily forgotten. I am grateful to him.

    Robin2016-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Jeffrey felt like living with a roommate in New York - in the best way possible. He was always there to offer great tips or ice tea and ask about my day or my plans. He gave amazing recommendations about things to do or to eat, showed me his work and was so so friendly and fun to be around. The location is right smack in the center of everything, within walking distance to so many great spots. As a woman traveling alone I felt completely safe walking at night. Will 100% stay again if in NYC.

    Michal2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Jeffrey for staying up late to wait for me and spending times chatting. You are an ace host and a beautiful person! Top AirBnB'er

    Ross2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeffrey was incredible! Extremely friendly and laid back. Super close to all public transportation and an easy walk to everything. 10/10 would stay again.

This is a comfortable studio apartment with exposed brick that has a true city feeling. This studio has a newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stain steel appliances. The space fits four and is centrally located on a Historic quiet street. This unit is loaded with cable and wifi. Just blocks away from public transportation A and G train lines. And minutes away from the bus route B25 B26 and the B44. Come and explore the charm of Bed-Stuy and all the Historic's. I love this neighborhood. !
This historic section of Brooklyn is home to some of the most magnificent brownstones streets in the world, with charming architectural landmarks. There so many new restaurants and bars popping up in the area such as Peaches,Hot house,Royals, Saraghina, and Gallery.
  • Very nice B.B. As described and Michele was a great communicator, very helpful

    Mary2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is so kind! She was always there for us if we needed something. The place is beautiful! Thank you for everything! =)

    Joji2018-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic, clean, comfortable spot in Brooklyn. Only a short stroll from the subway, and close to several good options for food, drinks, and groceries. The neighborhood is gorgeous and worthy of many long walks.

    Rosa & Nathan2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was an awesome host. Everything was as described and the place is gorgeous. We had to leave early unexpectedly but Michelle was awesome in accommodating our request. No complaints and very happy with her place and treatment!!!

    Paul2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is great! We enjoyed meeting her and staying at her place. The neighborhood was great too. The apartment has authentic character which we love! We really enjoyed nagels bagels and el jefe Mexican food near by. Thank you for the hospitality Michelle!

    Melissa2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is cute! Michelle is so friendly too. The flat is small but perfect for my husband and I and our 12 year old daughter; lovely homely feel to it. I’m a really light sleeper so the flat can be a bit noisy (nothing to do with Michelle, or the man who lives above) but we were so exhausted it didn t bother us! The bed is so comfortable and the towels were so fluffy and smelt divine. Thanks Michelle! X

    Kate2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was so kindly and helpful This place was awesome, comfortable and clean But is little far from the subway Anyway, We had a great time in Michelle's place Thanks for everything!

    洪俊銘2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a wedding weekend, and Michelle's space met all of our needs. The location was convenient for the event (a short Uber to the other side of Brooklyn), with a cute hole-in-the-wall coffee shop on the same block, amazing ramen within walking distance (Nana Ramen), and a wine shop nearby with great selection. The natural light was beautiful, the ceilings tall/space roomy, bed comfy, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We were a little travel weary and my bf was struggling with a sinus infection, so having a teapot and TV with lots of channels was a godsend. Michelle was very helpful and quick with her responses. Would stay there again! Note: The Airbnb is on the FIRST floor. We confused the interior flight of stairs with the exterior and tried to let ourselves into the wrong apartment.

  • Reka was great, she was very considerate.

    Bharat2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place was in a nice part of town, walking distance to subway, cafés and community gardens. Room was small but fine for a couple, hosts made us feel very welcome.

    Katie2015-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Reka’s place is one of my favorite experience in NYC. Extremely comfortable bed, beautiful terrance and warm welcoming from Reka made me feel like back home. Great location and friendly neighborhood, nice bar and restaurant around her place. It is definitely a good choice to stay in NYC. I’d like go back to the beautiful apt again next time. At last, the washer and dryer in your basement saved my NYC trip. Thanks again Reka, love you!

    Yuqi2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Reka is a wonderful host, always smiling and friendly. The apartment is very well located near everything. Recommended.

    Lino2017-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Reka made the start of my trip great. Check in was a breeze, and she was super flexible with checkout, which saved me a huge headache. The bed was superb, the shower got hot quickly, and the location was both quiet but at the same time convenient to all kinds of good stuff in the East Village. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'll check for her place first.

    Jake2019-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Reka and her housemate, Erin, were great hosts! Not fussy and most of the time, left me with the house where I could watch Netflix (if only I had time!). My room was spacious, considering NY's tight apartments, clean and i was given lotsa hangers for my clothes! The apartment was neat and tidy, and there's a deck where you can enjoy the sun and view during Spring and Summer (I was there in Winter). I like the neighborhood, with lotsa awesome eateries (that Sandwich place Reka recommended), UpState (1st Ave), Wafles and Dinges (East Village)... you will never be left with lousy food options. I enjoyed the vibe of the neighborhood (you just gotta explore). The place is 10-15min walk from the subway station, but walking is not a problem for me unless I have lotsa shopping, which i will take a bus. The block is surrounded by quite a few bus stops so it was easy for me to get around Manhatten with just 1 bus ride, if you choose to ride the bus. I almost never have to take the cab here in my 2+ wks stay. Enjoy your stay at Reka!

    Christina2014-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • I have been to New York many times, but this was one of my best trips - and staying in Reka's place played an important part. Reka wasn't there but her roommate Erin was great in welcoming me and making me feel at home ("What's ours is yours"). The apartment on the 6th floor is sunny and cosy and spotlessly clean, also quiet, my room wonderful, I even had the bath to myself most days. Checking in and out was easy, Erin was flexible. And when I asked how I could make coffee, she went out and bought a French press. The neighborhood is great with so many Cafés and Restaurants and young people around. I loved talking to Erin and her friends, everything was so relaxed. I very much hope I can come back.

Our three bedroom loft is just two blocks from the Bedford L stop with easy access to all of Manhattan. The neighborhood is very safe with plenty of restaurants, shops, and bars. There are over 50 house plants specifically chosen to purify the air.
This beautiful loft is centrally located in the exciting neighborhood of Williamsburg. The surrounding area is home to a variety of restaurants, bars, music venues and is two blocks from the Bedford L stop. Within 10 minutes you can be in Union Square with access to all Manhattan has to offer. (There is also a ferry that can take you to Wall Street in under 10 minutes, and a car service across the street.) But why go to Manhattan when there is so much nearby! Whether you are looking for fine dining or something more casual, there are many options all within 1-2 blocks. The 50 different house plants, each chosen for its ability to purify air, create an almost garden like feel to this urban oasis. There are three private bedrooms each with their own queen sized bed. Two of the bedrooms have windows but the third bedroom, which is centrally located, does not. In the Summer, each room has its own private air conditioning. Whether you want to be mixing up drinks in the kitchen, sitting down with friends to a meal in the dining room, or gathering in the living room for a movie or board game, there is plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable and happy. This loft provides an exceptional space to enjoy your experience in Williamsburg.
  • The place was just as they were in the pictures. Great location, awesome view, & close to the subway station & minutes away from Manhattan.Ian was kind enough to let me check in a bit early. However there a few things I didn't like. The bathroom was dirty & the shower curtains was ripped & moldy. The fridge had a rotten smell, we found spoiled vegetables inside. After our first night, we woke up to find a leak in the roof, and it leaked the entire time we stayed there. In the descriptions of the bedrooms he failed to mention that in one bedroom, the bed is actually on the floor. The other bedroom the bed was hard & uncomfortable to sleep in. My friends & I had a hard time figuring out how to lower the heat. Also, the place could really use a good clean.

    Patricia2015-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was excellent! I am very happy we found this for our stay in Williamsburg! It was the perfect location, and is very convenient. There's a Whole Foods within a block from the apartment, and so much available within walking distance. The plants are a delightful addition to the apartment, and the lighting, with two large windows, is fantastic. I would readily stay here again and appreciated how easy Ian made the check-in process and how accommodating to our needs that he was.

    Angela2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this loft, location, space, etc. Ian was great, super responsive. Already planning a trip back in a few months to stay in this space! :)

    Brendan2017-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • It's a great location, definitely, but shoddily put together with broken furniture having at least a years worth of dirt, grime and crumbs underneath the cushions. The curtains are heavily stained. Two window ACs that we had to run the whole time...quite noisy. Poorly equipped. No toaster, TV, Microwave, coffee maker..nada ..scissors, etc. The best thing? A great selection of books!

    Deborah2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ian’s place was great! The loft was VERY spacious and in a perfect location. Highly recommend!

    Leah2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ian was a great host! From the first contact via email until checking out, Ian was always attentive and friendly. The apartment is beautiful and the location is INCREDIBLE. Located in the heart of Williamsburg with bars, restaurants and with quick train access to Manhattan this apartment is perfect. Very clean, great layout, spacious, great beds, and fantastic view onto Bedford Ave.

    Benjamin2014-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this place! It’s got the right amount of functionality and feels homey at the same time. Great location and Ian made it easy!

There are three steps from the sidewalk, and there is usually parking on the block, I never have problems parking. Please note, there is street cleaning on Monday’s and Thursday’s from 8-9:30 AM, so you must move your car or you will get a ticket/citation.
Bushwick is part of Brooklyn, South West of Williamsburg. The neighborhood is up and coming, new restaurants are opening up every month, art galleries, shops, etc. There is a laundry mat around the block and supermarkets within blocks. Planet fitness is one stop away by train.
  • Walter's place is great! It is clean, has thoughtful personal touches such as snacks, is large for NYC, and is located in a fairly convenient area. Walter and his girlfriend were always available to help and provide tips, even keeping us updated on the weather. They helped us out at check-out time by keeping some of our stuff in their own apartment while we explored the city. This is a great place and is extremely well priced. We definitely look forward to coming back! Thank you!

  • One of the best value accommodations you could wish to find in New York. Has everything you need for a base at a very modest price. Walter is a lovely host and will go out of his way to help you. Keys are a bit tricky but after a day you’ve figured them out. I’d say bring your own towel if you don’t feel comfortable using other people’s towels but other than that it’s a great room. TV has Netflix with your own account, there’s a coffee machine and the fridge has plenty of room if you wish to buy drinks/snacks etc. Overall, my girlfriend and I loved our experience in New York and a big part of that was the homeliness of this apartment.

    Connor2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Walter was excellent at answering any questions. Plenty of home comforts and a well stock fridge with drinks and some nice treats. Teas and coffees for every taste. The only negative I could say about the place. Is that it's on a very busy and noisy road and if you are a light sleeper you will definitely need ear plugs!

    Sarah2015-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Walter was a excellent host for my first Airbnb stay.We stayed there over the weekend and there was changes in our ETA, but Walter was flexible with the check in time. The bathroom was clean and there were essentials like towels and shampoos. Walter was also nice enough to recommend food and pubs nearby. The place is really near the subway (like 5mins walk) which get you to Manhattan (within 20mins). Overall, a nice place to stay.

    Lenice2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was an ideal spot for us. Check-in was easy and Walter is responsive with anything you might need. Good wireless connection, clean bathroom, and street parking was available close by. Highly recommended!

  • Walter was awesome! He’s very nice and helpful!!! This studio is very clean and easy to find. Has a lot more room than I anticipated!

    Sierra2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Walters for one week and it was a very nice experience. Walter is an excellent host and very attentive to your needs. Also, he and is girlfriend are easy, outgoing people and you will definitely enjoy their company. Walter made sure we had everything we needed and was easy to get a hold of throughout the day. The room is great if you want someone who can give you a few tips and advices, but it's also very private and you will easily feel at home. Would recommend it to anyone. Its close to the subway and Manhattan is easily accessible within a 20 min subway ride.

    Johanna2016-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment is a 10 minute walk from the subway station, which is great. There is noise from the streets, but not too disturbing. There were some miscommunications regarding moving our luggage on the day we checked out, but it turned out to be okay. Definitely a good place to stay for a pleasant few days in New York.

My spacious two-bedroom home has everything you need for your NYC trip. On the first floor, but set above street level, I am offering two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen with a dining/living area, plus ROKU tv, WIFI, and washer/dryer. While Brooklyn is very large, I am walking distance to several major train/bus routes that run into Manhattan for all the popular sites: Freedom Tower, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square. There is so much culture and excitement to be experienced!
Both bedrooms are very quiet, as they are located in the rear of the house. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has a twin size bed. The new bathroom has a large shower, but no tub, with strong water pressure. The kitchen/living/dining area are set in an open plan setup. French doors that open to a sunroom separate open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The sunroom is shared with me who has my own entrance. It is stocked with many types of plants to create a truly alive and lush area. Cats and one dog have and continue to live on this site. They live with the host an do sit in the shared sunrooms. No matter how much preparation, if you are sensitive to pets this place is probably isn't the best choice.
The Highland Park section of East New York has a very suburban feel. I am very close to Upper Highland Park which sits on the highest elevation of Brooklyn. It has a more 'open' feel. But, like the suburbs the evenings are very quiet.
  • Graziella was a very accommodating and friendly host and she was quick to reply with answers to any questions we had. My girlfriend and I booked her home for a week and we absolutely loved it. The place is huge(biggest airbnb I've stayed in NY), it already looks big in the photos but we were still surprised when we walked in to see how spacious it was. It was very clean as well and the queen bed was comfortable. The shower was probably my favorite part, the dual shower head was wonderful to relax under and unwind after a long day out on the town. I've stayed at other airbnb's with high traffic on the streets but here the bedrooms are in the back of the house, far from the street so you won't be disturbed. It is a very quiet part of the neighborhood when night falls which was perfect for us. I would definitely book Graziella's place again!

    Ian2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Actually, one of my best airbnb experiences, neat and stylish place. Great value for money. Kitchen was excellent: gas stove with kettle, microwave oven. Communication with Graziella was easy. I'd love to stay more.

    Dmitry2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space in a quiet part of Brooklyn. The travel to Manhattan took some time with the subway, but that was to be expected. The apartment was huge and very welcoming. Graziella was very polite. There were some issues with the check-in. So make sure to go over that before hand. Some things seemed to be unclear on that end. Other then that, it was a wonderful stay and Graziella was a great host.

    Hannah2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent.

    Cam2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Graziella's space was very lovely and affordable. Very clean and cozy and communication with Graziella was always easy.

  • Great affordable place to stay if you're visiting New York. 30 min Uber ride from LGA and a 10 min walk to the J train, which takes you into Manhattan. Graziella was very nice and let us check in earlier in the morning (a neighbor greeted us and handed off the keys). The apartment is well furnished and very clean. Highly recommend

    Lyon2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Graziella’s place. It was clean, spacious, comfortable and great value for money! Hopefully be returning soon.

    Helen2018-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Graziella is very nice and considerate, also very helpful on suggestions for first time new york visiting. The place is big and close to the train station, which is very convenient to explore Manhattan. I also have mention one thing, I left my key at Graziella's place, she found it and sent to me right away. If you travel, it would always be a good choice staying in places owned by a kind lady.

A cheerful, sunny room in a bright and well-lit street-side apartment. We love people-watching from the windows and the convenience to the subway and all amenities. We are just a short subway ride from Times Square. Check-in before 9 p.m.
Private room in a very clean apartment 2 blocks from the subway in Manhattan. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Wifi included through your own device. Room has southern exposure looking toward downtown Manhattan over Broadway. 3 bus lines conveniently take you to various parts of the city. #1 subway train brings you to Times Square in 20 minutes.
The convenience is great! Many restaurants-----Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Dominican-----many small shops selling fresh fruits and vegetables and plenty of street vendors. 24-hour laundry around the corner.
  • Sarah and her family were very caring and welcoming, they did their best to make me feel comfortable and it was the case! Lovely family and interesting people to talk with! They helped me anytime they could. The picture matches the reality and the bed was comfortable! The appartment is also really well placed to take the subway or the bus!

    Alice2014-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and Jose and their daughters are wonderful people. I always felt welcome and at home. The location is 2 blocks from the 1 train so getting around was also a breeze. I recommend their place to anyone traveling to NYC on a budget.

    Nora2019-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed my stay with the Perez family. Such wonderful and welcoming people! The apartment was conveniently located to the train station and immaculately clean and organized. While the internet was a little spotty at times, it wasn't an issue for me as I was rarely home. Would definitely stay there again!

    India2013-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is wonderful. There is about a two-minute walk to the subway, bus stops, grocery stores, and places to eat. Sarah is an interesting person to talk to and she was very hospitable. The property is quiet inside in the evening and night, so nothing disturbes one's sleep.

    Mikhail2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Sarah's place for about 10 days. She was not there, but her husband, Pablo, was. He was very kind, helpful and easy to talk to. The listing is in a decent neighborhood, and it's just 3-5 min walk to the closest number 1 train (which basically takes you everywhere). Would recommend anyone who's trying to visit NYC on a budget to stay here.

    Mario2016-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and her family were super friendly, kind and welcoming. The room was great and we were just a quick T ride away from NYC. I would highly recommend this listing!

    Paula2013-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great people! Really interested in making me feel comfortable. The neighborhood was busy, some people like to yell at night, but I'm just not used to it. There's a nice juice bar and a walk by the water a block away. Subway super close and convenient to get downtown. It was a nice, private stay.

    Amy2014-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and her family were very nice as hosts. Her place is located close to the 1 subway station and multiple buses which is very convenient, a shortish walk to Columbia University. I would definitely recommend it for exploring Manhattan solo and on a budget!

  • First time staying at Row NYC. Great location, and close to subway stations. Only a couple blocks away from Times Square's central area. Without any traffic, takes about 25 minutes to drive to La Guardia. We took bus and subway from La Guardia to get to the hotel. Keep in mind that the neighboring wall is thinner, and you might be able to hear your neighbor. Also, hotels in NYC have city, state, occupancy taxes, etc--we stayed for 2 nights, and had about $200 in additional fees.

This apartment is a 1-minute walk from 3 major subway lines, and centrally-located between midtown and downtown - about 20 minutes from most NYC’s tourist attractions by subway. It sits on the border between the young and stylish East Village and Lower East Side neighborhoods, surrounded by inexpensive restaurants, cafes, bars, galleries and shops. The room features a memory-foam bed, TV with Netflix, and a street-facing window. The rest of the apartment is yours to enjoy as well, welcome!
Situated in a renovated two-bedroom apartment, your private room is furnished with brand-new amenities, including a desk, ultra-comfortable queen-size memory foam mattress, soft towels and a 26" flat screen TV with Netflix. The bathroom is shared with me (I live in the other bedroom). Your room has a south-facing window with lots of light and a blackout shade. It overlooks a lively corner, which can sometimes be a bit noisy (mostly on the weekends). I am happy to provide earplugs for your comfort. You have access to the roof and its fantastic view of the Freedom Tower, the Chrysler Building and more. The room has its own air conditioning during the summer and its own heater during winter.
One of the New York City’s liveliest and trendiest neighborhoods, the Lower East Side offers countless restaurants, shops, bars, nightclubs, art galleries and performance venues for you to enjoy. (Pianos, Beauty and Essex, Arlene's Grocery, The Box and GalleryBar are just a few nightlife examples). The neighborhood is dynamic, safe and has a lot to offer historically - in the past it served as home to so many of the city's immigrants that it even has its own museum (The Tenement Museum). Staying in the Lower East Side is easy, with food, other supplies and laundry readily available and close by. There is a laundromat less than one block from the apartment where you can wash or have your clothing washed, and a grocery store in the building next door. The subway (about a minute's walk from the apartment) offers easy transportation all over the city, though it's also possible to walk to many of the city's sites if you enjoy walking. When you are ready to explore further, you can check out other stylish neighborhoods nearby, including SOHO, Greenwich Village, the East Village, NOHO and more.
  • Tim was a really great host, friendly and helpful. He speaks french and spanish The room was absolutely clean as well as all the apartment. The flat is perfect situated, we could go everywhere by feet. There is a lot of restaurants around the flat. It was really a nice time by Tim. Next time I will come for sure again by him.

    Candide2014-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tim is absolutely amazing! He has this beautiful, peaceful vibe that makes you feel calm and joyful in his presence. His apartment is perfectly located with the subway a block away and bars/restaurants galore around. I had a late check in due to a late flight and Tim was extremely flexible, helped carry our bags up and then again down when we left. Everything was immaculately clean and tidy to top it all off. My heart left NYC happy!

    Tatiana2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience staying at Tim's place. His space is clean and convenient, located right in the East Village a few minutes' walk from the stylish restaurant Beauty and Essex. His apartment was impeccably well-kemp, the room containing towels, plenty of pillows, and a large closet. He was a great host, making sure to stay in contact throughout our stay. Great place to call a home base in the big city. Would definitely recommend!

    Tess2018-04-25T00:00:00Z

  • Tim's place is located in a convenient spot; great for people that are unfamiliar with NYC. Navigating the subway was simple from his apartment. It is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Tim is an exceptional host, available to help with anything you need. He is friendly and makes you feel at home right away. Would definitely stay here again if I return to NYC!

    Katie2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s place is very clean and in a great area. Close to the subway and some good restaurants. Tim is very hospitable and can read the vibes of his guests. We were more of a private guest, so we had short convos here and there but gave us our privacy. Tim always made sure we were finding everything just fine and asked if we needed anything, making it much more comfortable and inviting.

    Brandon2018-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • A better host than Tim would be hard to find. He’s there when you need him, and discreetly not when you don’t, which is important since kitchen and bathroom are shared. Super-easy-going and helpful guy. Super clean space, tasteful, great bed. Check-in very good system with key available at nearby grocer. You won’t go hungry in this vibrant neighborhood, loads of choice and late hours. Outside street is noisy even with earplugs at night, but we were there in summer when windows are open. I would def stay there again.

It is in an amazing location, around corner from Central Park, close to the Times Square for theater and cool restaurants, and also close to the majority of subway stations. Such a cool area. The apartment itself is beautiful and very comfortable staying. I already missed my time there. Eden was awesome host and helped us get settled in. Welcome to our garden apartment in Jersey City! Perfect for tourists trying to see nyc on a budget or for a longer term sublet, our one bedroom/ one bath is comfortable, quirky and fully stocked for you! A perfect green patch in the middle of the concrete jungle. Just 35 minutes to world trade center by public transit for a night on the town or a 10 minute Lyft to downtown JC. 5 minute walk to brand new Berry Lane park. 10 minutes by Lyft/ 20 minutes by light rail to Newport Mall.
Welcome to our home! We bought this two family home in JC two and a half ago and have been working on both apartments to make them the perfect home for us (upstairs) and the perfect home away from home for our guests downstairs. This one bedroom/ one bath apartment on the ground floor is perfect for a family or group on a budget who'd like to visit NYC short term or for a single person or couple who'd like to sublet longer term. There is a private entrance from the street under the stairs. As you enter the apartment you'll see the kitchen/ living room with kitchen table, sofa with full size memory foam mattress TV and exposed brick wall. Next on your right is a European style washer/dryer combo unit, the bathroom and the bedroom is in the back with a queen size bed, dresser and closet with hangers. As you exit the back of the apartment you'll see the garden we've been lovingly working on for 6 months with the raised bed. Of course our guests are welcome to veggies that are in season during your visit. Feel free to lounge in the chair out back and enjoy our shady garden or enjoy and outdoor dinner at the table. The garden is also perfect for your furry friend, but please pick up after your poo :) While we usually live right upstairs, we're currently out of town for the next several months while I tour with a broadway show! so if you have any questions/ needs please reach out to our property manager Michele- she lives right across the street :)
Our neighbors are mostly young families, in a typical urban New York/ New Jersey style. It may be a little closer quarters than you're used to if you're not familiar with the area, but everyone here is friendly and looks out for each other. There is a bodega around the corner where you can get sandwiches, meat, cheese, eggs, butter, snacks and some produce and a larger grocery store four blocks away. 4 blocks directly east is the beautiful Berry Lane Park where you can catch a soccer game, use the bike paths or let your furry friends run around in the dog run. At the northern end of the park is JC hooked and the factory, two of our favorite restaurants... all about a 10 minute walk away from the front door.

  • We had a wonderful stay! It really did feel like coming home to a safe and comfortable space at night. It was very stylish and quirky as advertised. Being within walking distance of the light rail was super convenient, and Katie and John left incredibly helpful train directions for us to use. We felt happy to come back to it every night after busy days in New York.

    Nathaniel2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Katie made everything about this trip so easy! She was on top of everything and incredibly helpful. The apartment is adorable and the perfect spot to relax after a day exploring NYC, and everyone on the street seemed friendly. My family got to explore several different modes of transportation to and from NYC (ferry one day from Liberty State Park, and light rail, bus, subway). Street parking was a little challenging with a minivan for the hours we came back to the apartment, but a smaller car wouldn't have much problem. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

    Jillian2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Katie‘s place is very pretty and inviting, spacious and clean and not far away from the Newark airport which was important for me. She‘s an absolute friendly and supportive hostess and even allowed me to check in 30 minutes earlier, had many tips and recommendations for me and answered all my questions patiently. I‘d love to stay there again anytime.

  • Photos are a little misleading. It does have great space. Bed was awesome. Bathroom was way too small. Shower even smaller. Only complaint. Other than that, happy with price and very happy with location.

    Kevin2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, but the rooms aren't nearly as nice as the lobby. Factor in additional fees from the hotel, not included in your Airbnb charges.

    Amy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is basically a hotel booking, not a traditional AIRBnB. The hotel room I got is NOT the one you saw in photos. Also there is the resort fee and 3 different taxes you need to pay which, for me, came out to about $80.

There is no lift to the 4th floor, but it's common for all houses there. Guy is friendly man and ready to help and give any advice you need.

  • The place is so nice and clean with good style. Comfortable amenities and a very cute doggie. Very close to subway getting to Manhattan and not far from JFK. The only comment is that if you are traveling with very heavy luggage, prepare to carry them all the way up to 4th fl LOL.

  • nice spot for a quick trip

    Courtney2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment is very good! It is 5 min away from a subway that goes directly to Manhattan, Times square, Grand central station etc. The room was spacious and clean and we were provided with all the basic commodities (bed linens, towels etc.). The neighbourhood is cute even if a bit noisy. The checking in was very convenient and a big plus for the quick answers of the host!

  • Guy's place is in a great location and I enjoyed my time there! it was easily accessible to many restaurants, coffee shops, and other areas of interest in Brooklyn. I thought the airbnb was very comfortable and cozy. There was a full length mirror in the room which was a great feature, and I appreciated having privacy during my stay

  • Joe is a very friendly and helpful person, gave us directions and good tips what we can do in Manhattan. He also makes sure that you have everything you need, from charging cable to flat iron :). Good deal!

    Michael2014-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The room was comfortable and affordable and met my needs. It's a few blocks from the Subway station and I felt comfortable walking through the neighborhood. I forgot just how big NYC is though, so it took a while to get to and from Harlem. Joe's very eager to give suggestions on your trip and communicates a lot in advance of your arrival, which, as an independent traveler, I didn't especially need. But he printed out tickets to a show I was going to (Amateur night at the Apollo - a lot of fun!), which was a big help.

    Luke And Rachel2015-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The room description was accurate ... the host was so nice and helpful ... he made me feel welcome and he was always ready to help ... the neighborhood is very good (very close to many restaurants, supermarkets, and public transportation) it is a good choice for those who want to explore Manhattan... it was a wonderful experience and the host is such a nice person.

    Maamoon2016-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities were pretty cool. My room had a massage chair as well as something that provided different sounds that can help you sleep. The area is also not that loud at night, so that was a plus. Jj also provided many helpful tips about what to do in the city.

    Kevin 2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay if u only need a bed and a shower. There's access to the kitchen which we didn't use. Bathroom and bedroom are very small. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom clean. The bedroom itself was dusty. Jj is a good host who provides u with any kind of information of u need it.

The western bedroom in my 3 bedroom penthouse apartment. I say penthouse because it’s the entire top floor, not because it’s a $15 million apartment with a swimming pool and helipad. :) This is Brooklyn. But I think you’ll love it for the same reasons I do: 5 trains within 5 minutes, a rooftop facing Manhattan, live music everywhere, late night restaurants, nearby McCarren park and a feeling like you’re in an actual neighborhood! 7th yr living here (4th as host) and still love it! You will too!
IMPORTANT UPDATES: 1) 5 Day Maximum Rental - No Exceptions. Please don't enquiry for longterm stays. DESCRIPTION: DIY IS YOUR FRIEND - You'll notice this as soon as you come into the apartment. James and I loved building things and putting the apartment together with our own touches. The living room cocktail table we brought from central Brooklyn on the subway and spent four days sanding, cleaning, painting and constructing it into a table. You'll see touches like this all over the apartment. (Current Project: refinish the stairs and hardwood on the apartments landing. The landlord's janky carpet had to go!) HAVE YOUR CARRIE BRADSHAW MOMENT - Pop out the window in the living room like Carrie and have a smoke on the fire escape or watch the sunset, or climb up to the roof and have a martini (we usually drink margaritas up there) and have a great NYC moment. BOUJI TO BUSTED - Have drinks on the roof of the Wythe Hotel for $14 and look out over all of Williamsburg or spend $5 and get a PBR and a shot at Union Cafe with a taco in their back garden and listen to some live music. This neighborhood caters to the whole spectrum and you can eat til 2 am and drink til 4 am. LOWER MANHATTAN IS 1 STOP AWAY - 5 Train lines within a 5 minute walk of the apartment, the J, M, Z and G, L so getting into Manhattan is easy and the trains run 24 hours a day. ENJOY YOUR PRIVACY - If you want to have a chat catch me when I'm having a cocktail on the weekends and getting ready to go out and we'll have a laugh, but other than that you have privacy and I let you do your thing while I recharge during the week in my space doing mine. 4 YEARS OF AIRBNB HOSTING - 700 GUESTS - Yep. That's right. Been doing this for 4 years and have had over 700 guests so I know what I'm doing. Hope to meet you soon! If you have any questions, ask away!i
Williamsburg is amazing. Anyone who has lived in NYC for awhile can tell you there is an immediate difference in the energy of this place to Manhattan. It feels more neighborhoody, people are friendly and there's a creative vibe everywhere. You can't go into a bar or restaurant without bumping into designers, photographers, musicians, painters, web developer and the list goes on and on. There is music everywhere and lots of cheap drinks for the hipster crowd. It's a fantastic neighborhood.
  • We had a great stay, Martin was responsive and super easy going and accommodating.

    Ivana2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Martin was a brilliant host and the apartment was exactly as described! He was warm and welcoming with good knowledge of the local area. We instantly felt at home! The location is great for bars, cafes, shops and transport links into Manhattan. The room was warm, clean and spacious. Highly recommended! Thank you Martin!

    Katie2015-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place - cozy and convenient to lots of cute neighborhood spots. Made a perfect home base for my visit to NYC, would stay again on a future visit!

    Julia2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Martin's place was the perfect home for my short week in NY. The location is brilliant (close to multiple trains to Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn/ surrounded by little bars) and his home is beautifully designed, cozy and clean. Martin was really easy going and responsive. Can't recommend this spot highly enough!

    Nashilu2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Martins place was perfect. I’d definitely stay here again.

    David2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • I would absolutely recommend staying with Martin. He was an awesome host and willing to accommodate my travel plans. This airbnb is perfect for solo travelers up to two people. His place was aesthetically pleasing, clean, and comfortable. My room was again clean, the bed was very comfortable, and I again LOVED the simple touches like the fresh flowers and the pictures on the wall. I was not expecting to have Netflix access so that was also a nice surprise. I felt that I had a great amount of privacy during my stay. The only minimal complaint I have is that the room was somewhat hot, however the fan fixed that problem (so I guess it wasn't actually a problem at all). I found the location of the place to be convenient and short walk from public transportation. The apartment is on the fourth floor, but Martin was very insistent to help carry my suitcase up the stairs! There is also access to the roof, but I unfortunately did not have a chance to utilize it (still an a cool feature, nonetheless). Awesome place, and I would recommend it to friends interested in staying in the area!

    Katie2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Martins place was great! I really liked the look of his whole apartment and it was very clean. Check in was easy and we had our own set of keys to come & go whenever (our room had a lock too). Didn’t get to see Martin much since we were always on the go, but he seemed like a really nice guy. The flowers on the shower shelf were a personal favorite little touch. I’d definitely stay here again.

    Hallie2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely space, beautifully decorated. Great location, so close to anything you would want. If it’s hot, there are small windows high in a wall in this room that have to stay open, so I’d see if the other room was available if you are light sleeper or have to go to bed early. I was there for meetings and had trouble sleeping when people were moving about normally, cooking or coming and going. You can also get light through the windows. I would have been a better fit for the other room. Would be great in the other seasons.

Location, Location, Location - 10 minute bus ride (1 stop) to NYC Times Square. Bus stop is a 2 mins walk from house and frequency is every few minutes for 24 hours. Super safe and Quiet neighborhood. Brand new, very clean, studio apartment with a private bath room, kitchenette and private work space. The studio is renovated with natural stone floors, high end finishings and closets, throughout the apartment. Breathtaking views of NYC 1 block away.
The Studio is located in the below ground section of the house. So you will need to walk up and down stairs, to enter and exit the building.
The famous Hamilton Avenue is a 2 mins walk away. This has breathtaking views of the city and a great place for a night stroll to near by restaurants.
  • A beautifully appointed spacious and private apartment in a great neighbourhood with unreal views of Manhattan within a 5 minute walk. The aircon is extremely loud with no controls. Beautiful kitchen with fridge, 2 knives, 2 forks and 2 spoons and plates.

    Karen2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • A great stay, although a distance from NYC but that was quite nice and we knew this when booking. The apartment is very spacious, much bigger than we were expecting and the bed was really comfy. Bathroom decor was very modern and nice.

    Claire2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice place, not far away from New York dt, it will be less than 20mins to dt if u drive or call the uber. Really clean but it was a little bit cold when we stayed in there, maybe was because it was a basement. But other things are really good. Thank you for the sweet home, if we went to New York again we might choose the place again.

    Qingyun2017-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great flat and location 10 minutes on a bus to Midtown. Let down by the noisy heating/air con. Slight mis representation. It’s like sleeping on an aircraft. I had a pretty restless two nights as it cut in every half hour. The host acknowledges the noise and suggested ear plugs. Sorry, I’d rather have a quiet nights sleep.

    Michael2018-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • A quite neighborhood across the NYC which looks beautiful at night! Great place to stay!

  • Great little apartment to stay at to visit NYC. Kam was a great host, and gave great instructions at checkin on how to get in and out of NYC.

    David2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Kam’s place. The location was perfect for us to travel to NYC to see broadway shows. We were a little anxious about taking a bus over to the city but Kam had detailed instructions waiting for us. It was a lot easier than we thought it would be. We would definitely stay here again.

An unfamiliar neighborhood may seem intimidating at first, however once you are a little more acquainted, you begin to see the charm a diverse neighborhood brings. I've lived in this rapidly gentrifying neighborhood for over 15 years and I LOVE it! It is directly across from beautiful Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is great for walking, jogging, and playing tennis. It is also the home of Jersey City's newest 9 hole golf course.
  • We loved staying in Amer’s home and having it all to ourselves. We didn’t meet Amer, but he took good care of us. His friend Junior let us into the apartment, helped us with our luggage, and even drove us to the PATH train so we could make it on time for The Book of Mormon matinee on Broadway. After spending a nice evening in NY, my friend and I took the PATH train back, only to realize when exiting that we had left our keys at a diner in NY. We talked to Amer, who arranged with Junior to again help us out by giving us a second set of keys. Both of them were as nice as can be, despite our disturbing them at 11 at night! We look forward to staying here again whenever we come to town next.

    Lori2014-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amer's apartment was just as described and photographed. Perfect one bedroom with all the basic amenities you need. My team met there during the day and I stayed at night, and we all enjoyed it. All communication with Amer was great, smooth and accurate. I got in/out without a problem, and his home is great!

  • Amer has been a great host. We were scheduled to arrive from London during the Tjme a snow storm was forecasted, he kept us informed the whole time, helped with directions. When we finally managed to arrive it was great to walk into a very warm spacious and clean apartment. Amer left a delicious pizza for us in the fridge so that saved us a lot of time. Thank you!

  • The apartment was glean and tidy. Location was in nice and quiet area. Jason and Martha were really friendly and answered to all our questions. Minus was that you could hear very well upstairs noises.

    Taija2017-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Great place to stay. No complaints whatsoever!

    Niya2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was an excellent host. He was exceptionally communicative and helpful. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and equipped with everything you could need. The neighborhood is calm and perfectly situated for anyone wishing to visit NYC. I highly recommend Jason as a host!

    Davide2016-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place is conveniently located, just 15 mins from the city by bus ($3.50 one way). There are food options just two blocks away and also a great view of the city at night down the block. The apartment itself is a cozy 2nd floor walk-up, exactly as shown in the pictures. Only things of note are that there were some strange noises during the night that woke me up and the dresser next to the bed has drawers that don't stay closed sometimes (alarmed me at first lol).

    Eunice2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was super clean, spacious, and the location is great - easy to get to from NYC by public transit, close to a great Mexican restaurant, and a great view of the NYC skyline on the way to the AirBnB. I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat!

    Katherine2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This space is perfect for people who plan on staying longer then a few days. Nice quiet and clean neighbourhood, and beautiful views down near the water. Space was clean and comfortable.

    Rebecca2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was an accommodating host, quick to respond to messages and helpful with check-in and check-out requests. The apartment was lovely and is very close to an incredible view of the New York City skyline. There's also a great Mexican restaurant nearby, Charrito's, right on the river - highly recommend! It's also very easy to grab the bus over to Port Authority. If you're looking for easy access to NYC or just a comfortable stay in Weehawken, this is a great option.

  • Good: nice location, big apartment, nice kitchen/bathroom Bad: No hot water in bathroom/kitchen, had to park 0.5 miles away, noisy above the apartment

  • Amazing place

    Luis2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Christopher's apartment. He's super nice and gave us a lot of privacy. He has an apartment of an artist with lots of books and paintings. It was very clean, very cozy and smelled really nice. We could have stayed there all day. Towels were also provided. Overall nothing to complain about. Christopher also gave us a lot of tips only a local could provide. The train "PATH" to Manhattan is 5 min away by foot. Would stay there again! 5/5!

    Kamelia2015-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • I found Christopher to be a very good host -- he was genial and helpful, and emails were always returned very quickly. This was my first time using airbnb, but I would stay with Christopher again based on this positive first experience. This was particularly good value for the money.

    Nicole2014-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is laid back, friendly and very clean person. He would chat with you but also would not cut corners and keep the place nice, tidy and clean and also give you your privacy. He provides comfortable place and a perfectly balanced welcome with high end art, decor and good location.

    Hideko2013-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was a great host overall. He provided us with everything we needed, and more too. He is very amiable, intelligent, and fun to talk with. In our room we had our own separate entrance, a mattress bed, air conditioning, and sufficient space for our own stuff. We had plenty of privacy as well. The neighborhood is a short walk away from the grove street station, which can get you to NYC in about 10-15minutes.

    Andy2015-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is an awesome, responsive and friendly host. We really love his place and the neighbourhood. The place is well-kept with a very artistic touch. It is not far at all from the PATH train station. Chris showed us some good restaurants in the neighbourhood, which we found really helpful as we don't want to walk far or line up for good food. We will definitely stay again at his place when we are back to Jersey/NYC but his place is usually booked!

    Bao Anh2016-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Christopher was a bliss. I was there for 14 nights in total and it was a wonderful stay. Christopher openly welcomed me when I arrived at about 11 pm. He showed me around and recommended places to visit. He has a very calm and easy going personality. He gave me enough privacy to feel comfortable, but also spent time chatting and keeping it personal. He also has a cute cookie corner in his kitchen with sweets for travelers. The location is perfect. It is a short walk to the Grove Street Path station and that can take you to the WTC in a few minutes, but also goes up to 33rd street. Jersey City is an adorable city as well. Definitely walk up to the harbor and get a great view of Manhattan. Take the ferry over the Hudson river, too. All in all I would definitely stay here again. The apartment was clean and as pictured.

I am booked through May 31, 2020 and I have no rooms available until late June 2020. Private Suite, sleeps 4. (1) Queen Bed in Master Bedroom (2) Twin Beds in Living Room (Daybed with Trundle Bed) Newly renovated, LED Lighting, smart plugs and outlets. Private entry and full bath with stall shower. Quiet and clean! The space is in the historic Flatbush section of Brooklyn and short 2 minute walk to the subway! Contact me directly if you're interested in staying more than 14 days.
The area is very diverse. Coffee shops, restaurants, shopping are all within walking distance.
  • It was perfect. The house was very clean, neat and comfortable. Jason takes care of all details and have supported me during my stay. Check in was simple and the location is wonderful, only 2 min from subway.

    Guilherme2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean. Good location. Easy access to the subway. The host communicated with us daily. Great value.

    Deana2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Here's what you can expect; a great place, period. It was really clean when we went. It was more spacious than what Jason's pictures depict. Man, it was just an overall great experience. Just note; the Beverly Road Station is really only minutes away. However, if most of your trip revolves around places in Manhattan, expect a 30-40 minute trek back.

    Chau2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very good place to stay if you want to visit NewYork area.

    Sergio2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic place, Metro just 1 minute away, really comfortable bed and great shower. Would recommend this place to anyone and we’ll definitely stay again when in Brooklyn!

    Gary2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a hidden gem. Everything you need, quick walk from the train station. Jason was great about communicating everything! Space is a lot bigger than pictures.

  • Totally recommend..!!! A great place in a great location!

    Carlo E2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Much better than expected. Self check-in, private entrance, spacious bedroom, kitchen separate room with comfortable table for work with extra monitor(HDMI cable included) and good quality WIFI. Only 120m away from NY city metro station. Great host. Right now amazing deal, when other rooms that are in basement level will also be rented out then it may lose a little bit value even then I would expect that this will be a good place for budget travelers.

My place is close to Downtown Jersey City and 20 minutes to World Trade Center New York City Its walking distance to public transportation and places of interest, parks - Liberty State Park, Ferry to Statue of Liberty ten minutes Light Rail ride to Downtown Jersey City restaurants and financial district My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The room is large with closet space and has a chair with an attached small desk. A bbigger desk, it can be provided upon request
The neighborhood is very quickly gentrifying and new buildings are coming up all over. As with all new places guests should be aware of their surroundings and exercise good judgment. There is an outdoor park on Garfield Ave used by Berry Hill and Claremont communities as well as other communities nearby
  • Clean and spacious room. The host was kind and flexible about the arrival time. Getting downtown nyc takes about 1h- 1.5h by transit or 30 minutes by car if there’s no traffic.

    Jasmine2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky and John are very nice and communicative, check in was convenient and flexible, but the house needs some renovations.

    Shod2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Super cheap price is well worth it ! Definitely get what you pay for good size room tho , the hosts Vicky and John are amazing and super helpful, very flexible and lovely people 😊

    Jesse2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, affordable place to stay outside NYC. Vicky communicated well throughout the whole process. Nothing fancy and a little difficult to reach by public transit but a good deal and more than sufficient lodging while visiting the Big Apple.

    Luke2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky’s home is in Jersey City which doesn’t mean much to someone unfamiliar with the North East but it means you either need to learn how to take the PATH into the city or be prepared to pay at least $40 one-way for an Uber if you plan on visiting NYC. With the money spent on getting back and forth from the city to vicky’s I could have had a more convenient trip by just paying more for a location on the other side of the bridge. That of course has nothing to do with the property itself just some bad judgment on my part. You have to take some narrow stairs to get to the room so if you have large heavy luggage it’ll get pretty tricky. She doesn’t have WiFi, but I had enough service (Sprint) to FaceTime without an issue. Bring your own pillows if you don’t like a firm couple of pillows. I can see how this would be a great value for someone who was working in NJ but for a long trip to NY it wasn’t worth the value. Vicky as a host is very sweet and clean.

My place is close to Times Square, the bus stop (on the block), the subway station, Penn Station, and everything Manhattan has to offer. You’ll love my place because of the 20-minute ride to Times Square, the comfy queen-sized bed, the modern renovation, the central heat and air conditioning, and everything the area has to offer. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
    Please see above.
Long referred to as New York City's "Sixth Borough" because of the quick ride to Manhattan, there is a ton of stuff to do in Jersey City itself. The house is located in Jersey City Heights, just north of Journal Square, which is a more residential neighborhood, but there are plenty of restaurants and local conveniences on Central Avenue, which are listed in the Guidebook for confirmed guests. Jersey City has also become a center for dining and nightlife because the real estate market here is a little more forgiving to entrepreneurs than that of Manhattan. Favorite restaurants include Taqueria Downtown, Porta, and Talde, and bars downtown include Zeppelin Hall Biergarten, Skinner's Loft, and Barcade. Newark Avenue near Journal Square is known "Little Bombay" because of the many South Asian and Indian restaurants that line the street. As it intersects with Grove Street, it becomes a pedestrian-only shopping and dining district that's very pleasant to walk through, especially during the summer. Jersey City Heights specifically is great and is 20 minutes to Times Square by bus and 35 minutes to downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center on the PATH subway line. The Heights sits on top of the NJ Palisades and overlooks Hoboken and the midtown Manhattan skyline, with some of the best views of NYC anywhere. The Heights is mostly single-family houses and includes the Riverview Arts District and a lot of cool new restaurants. It's a five-minute walk to Journal Square (aka "India Square" or "Little Bombay"), which has some of the best Indian food in the Western hemisphere. New zoning laws in the Riverview Arts District allow for live/work spaces, which has made the Heights an attractive neighborhood for artists as Brooklyn has become prohibitively expensive.
  • The place is nice and spacious. The room smells nice and clean. Ale and Tom was accommodating and they gave me clear instructions on getting in so the stay was hassle free.

    Ricardo2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean and roughly as depicted on the AirBnB website. The woman living there is renting. The owners are available primarily through AirBnB messaging. Most of the people in the condo were other AirBnB guests. The owners/hosts were responsive and reasonable regarding my need to leave in the middle of my reservation.

    Rekha2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • There was no key in the lockbox so we had to wait there for like an hour. The host did not respond to phone calls or airbb messages. It was almost midnight and i felt really unsafe. It was also super noisy because the other room was rented out as well. Almost did not sleep.

I renting one private room in my 3 bedroom apartment. Located in Manhattan in the area of Washington Heights you will be just a few stations from downtown Manhattan and the most tourist areas such as Time Square.the room is simple and the building is old but if you are looking for an economic room in the manhattan area this is the right room for you. You can use the kitchen and the living room area too.It is located in a commercial avenue with super markets, shops, McDonald's and subway stations
It is simply a private room, not a private apartment. other guests and me will be sharing the bathroom and the kitchen. I do not make any kind of cleaning fee as you can realize on the bill so the bathroom will not be perfectly clean 24 hours as this is not a five star hotel or a mall. The apartment is located in upper Manhattan but Manhattan is not just the time square, Wall Street or Central Park. so do not think you're going to be located in those areas. You can get there by subway in 20 minutes but in those areas you are not going to get a room at this price in which I am offering my room. I like to clarify all things well. there are no actresses, models and famous people in the building. so do not be surprised if people who are not physically nice to your liking. there are no actresses, models and famous people in the building. so do not be surprised if you see people who are not physically nice to your liking. the apartment is located in the basement of the building but there is an elevator so you will not have to worry about going up or down stairs with heavy suitcases. the area is totally safe. Nothing has ever happened to me or to all the guests who have passed through here. It is not a quiet area because I am located on a commercial avenue. I do not have rats or cockroaches in the apartment. but if you get to see any rat, cockroach, fly or some smell in the building. it's not my fault . I can’t do anything , the building is not mine just the apartment.
  • Very nice apartment

  • William and his wife are well attentive, the accommodation has a good location, close to the Subway, very good!

    Claudemir2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Williams place is cool, definitely worth what we paid for. His place is about a block and half from the subway that leads directly to manhattan and times square and as well as other tourist places. Dont be fooled by the old building because his place inside is definitely cute and cozy. Cute little kitchen and living room area. Thanks for having us.

    Ruth2019-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for access to the city. Only a 2-3 minute walk to the metro (A train). Reasonably quiet bit it's Washington Heights so wasn't astonished when a couple cars blasted loud music while driving by in the evening. My only suggestion for William is to put up some curtains with the blinds so it can be darker at night. The other rooms might be fine though.

    Christopher2019-04-08T00:00:00Z

  • Second time staying with Douglas. I feel like that's all the review you need.

    Tolu2018-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Douglas did everything to make our stay comfortable, we could use all his kitchen equipment and he even provided us food for breakfast and to make sandwiches. He is a very discreet man and respected our privacy, so it really felt like having an apartmet for ourselves. The neighbourhood is well connected to the subway system, it is about 20-30 minutes to Manhattan and cheap supermarkets are in a close reach. Thank you for our great time in New York!

    Antonia2015-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very open and available. I already recommended him to some of my friends. I will be if possible, booking from him again. Thanks Douglas.

  • Douglas is a wery fine host. The room is nice and big. He gave me the key and i coud come and go as i want. i coud use the kitchen and the bathroom as i want. I can hardly re comment Douglas as a host! I will ask him next time im going to NY.

  • Excellent host, as advertised. Kind and communicative. A worry free experience.

    Leah2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Douglas’s apartment. The room was as pictured and was very large and spacious. It was also very close to the D train, making the commute into Manhattan very easy. I would definitely stay here again!

    Jessica2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • I was more than comfortable staying in Douglas' apartment, as I imagine anyone would be. The place is quiet and easily accessible from the subways (both the 4 & D trains will take you right there, about a 35-45 min ride from lower Manhattan), the bed is cozy, and all amenities you could need are provided (TV, fast internet, clean sheets & towels, soap, coffee, filtered water). The entire apartment is quite clean and you can tell Douglas makes a concerted effort to keep it that way. Additionally, Douglas is a truly generous, gracious & respectful host, and an all-around good person. He gave me excellent tips & advice for my time spent in the bright lights of the big city. I am truly grateful to him for opening his home to me, and there's no way you're going to find a more reasonable price this close to Manhattan.

The apartment is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, a neighborhood that attracts artists and young college students. It's 1 block away from Subway L /M, and 10 mins to Williamsburg, 20 mins to Union Square, Manhattan.
You will have this private bedroom as well as the whole shared space you see in the pictures. You have options to sleep either in the loft bed or the pull-out sofa underneath it. Both beds are full sized. It would be perfect for 2 people who travel together but don't want to share one bed. There is also a decent sized closet included in this bedroom. I have 2 bathrooms in this apartment. But your bathroom would be shared with the other room guest. You will immediately notice how I keep everything clean and organized. Both of the bathroom and the bedroom are fully equipped, including a hairdryer. I don't technically provide food but I share tea and coffee/coffee maker, etc. I prepare fresh sheets, blankets, pillow cases and shower towels when new guests arrive. I keep my place very clean and new, hope you do the same. The house rules are simply no smoking indoor and no pets, plus, we need to change shoes in the hallway.
The apartment is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, a fast gentrifying neighborhood attracts more and more young artists and hip people. It is 1 block away from Subway L and M lines, and 10 mins to Williamsburg, 20 mins to Union Square, Manhattan, 35 mins to Time Square and 40 mins to Central Park. • If you're willing to venture off the beaten path a little, staying with Heeran in Brooklyn is a great option! Her apartment really is very close to the subway and is located near a busy intersection in Bushwick that includes a grocery store, several restaurants, drugstores, and even small department stores within easy walking distance. For those of us not use to the sounds of a city at night, she provides ear plugs, a very thoughtful touch! Her apartment was very clean and there is a bathroom that she reserves for her guests (she rents 2 bedrooms in her unit). She was Wi-fi available and provides space in her fridge reserved for your room. She is a very nice person and was flexible with our arrival/departure schedules which we very much appreciated. She even shares her MoMa membership card which will get you in for free. Thanks Heeran!

  • Michael welcomed us so lovely even though we ran a little late and the appartement was just like on the pictures. The neighborhood was good and the subway station is right around the corner just like a groceries store and multiple possibilities to grab a coffee. Michael also had some great recommendations for our short stay, especially for a good BBQ-Place.

    Markus2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to stay while visiting NYC. The subway is a short walk away and takes you directly to the city. Harlem has cool bars and amazing food. You are away from the crowds of the city but just a short subway ride away and you are there. The patio was so nice to enjoy coffee on. Michael is very accommodating and has snacks for you when you check in. Wouldn't stay in a different air bnb ever again!

    Sara2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was an excellent host. When we arrived he was there waiting for us, and gave us a tour of the apartment. He has also stocked the apartment with tons of snacks, water, and food. The apartment was wonderful, he has managed to create a lot of living space in a small studio apartment. Very nicely decorated. This was my first air bnb experience and I cannot imagine a better host.

  • I visited New York with my 13 year old son and my husband, and we had a great time. Michael's studio apartment really was beautiful, in a safe neighborhood, and had everything in it we needed, and more. Michael is a generous and gracious host who tries to anticipate his guests needs, for example he provided a stocked pantry, a hair dryer, and many other little thoughtful details that make guests feel welcome. We always felt safe in the neighborhood at any time of day or night. The apartment is close to a subway stop, a laundromat, a very nice little cafe near Lenox, and many more conveniences. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio apartment.

  • Michael made us feel very welcome by meeting us and providing groceries on arrival. He was very friendly, helpful and obliging. The apartment was charming, very comfortable and containing everything we needed. The deck was a fine refuge and we enjoyed watching the squirrels and neighborhood cats. The neighborhood is quiet and is convenient to public transport. We felt safe there and had a few evening walks. We had a lovely time and recommend this accommodation highly.

  • We had a great stay here in October. The place was spotless and the temperature was just right. Convenient to get to from JFK and public transport links into Manhattan were totally fine throughout the stay (at various times of day).

  • If you’re familiar with Brooklyn, this AirBnB is the perfect location between JFK and Manhattan. The apartment has everything you need including a washer and dryer. There’s a living room area, a mini bar, and the room in the apartment has a lock, major plus. The host is well organized and an excellent communicator! Would definitely stay again!

Bedroom in the heart of the trendiest neighborhood on Manhattan. Buzzing with life from bars, restaurants and boutiques giving a real New Yorker experience along with easy subway transit minutes away to all tourist attractions.
East Village double bedroom in gay friendly and social walk up apartment. We have a clean bright and very quiet true NY apartment in the center of the East Village with tons of bars, restaurants, boutiques and Tompkin Sq Park/Union Sq just outside the door. A fully functional kitchen as well as toiletries and towels included for the shower(just bring your toothbrush!). Two Blocks from the L-train that will take you to both the west side and trendy Willamsburg. We have a lot of knowledge of the area and the city for activities and nightlife. The apartment can be social or as private as you wish and we love meeting new people and sharing our NYC experience. Occasionally work from home but for the most part the apartment will seem like your own. We are very easy going and will accommodate the best we can with your traveling schedule and any needs you may have when you arrive.
The East Village is my favorite neighborhood! It is quite, trendy and super safe but still very active. There are so many great bars, restaurants and little shops all over and great to explore without all the tourist chaos! Please check out the guidebook for some of my favorite places in the city! :)
  • I cannot say enough how CUTE this place was!!! super awesome location, the neighborhood was cute as can be and very quiet. Seth was so nice and has great hair. Really, the best hair. Bed was comfy, room was private. Felt right at home. Didn't want to leave!!

    Mackenzie2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Seth was responsive from the start of our interactions, very helpful, and so wonderful as a host. The space is quiet, clean and could NOT be a better location. The bedroom was cozy, and the apartment over all was just a delight to return to after running around the city. So many places to eat and hang out right in the area and then it was such a breeze to get around to the rest of the city. I could not recommend this any more- also the paintings in the kitchen are truly beautiful.

  • The place was incredibly clean and smelled great the entire time. The bed is very comfortable and the shower has great water pressure. It's also a great location. We walked almost everywhere! We would definitely stay here again.

  • Seth was an amazing host! Easy going, easy to communicate with. The room was clean/comfy, and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Definitely will come back when I'm in NYC.

Sun-drenched 1 bedroom with a private bathroom has all the charm of a hotel but with the warmth of home. The room includes a private backyard with a grill and comfy living room & kitchen. 1 block/3 avenues from the bus/train. 40min to Times Square.

Our neighborhood is predominately a residential Latin community. All the charms of children playing on the streets, community gardens, and locals BBQ-ing with music in the air. (Insider tip: the best Tacos in the city are in our neighborhood)
  • The location is not ideal and a bit far from the main attractions. The apartment was fine.

    Caitlin2018-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice and cosy location. A small bedroom but with all the things you need. Bathroom was very nice with a bathtub and a good hot shower The shared kitchen gives you everything for the preparation of meals. The surrounding didn t offer us the restaurant options what we are looking for but there are options to go to if that is your type of preference. We prepared breakfast at home. Grocery store close to the house and a large one close to the metro station Short walk - 15 minutes - to the closest underground The house was very convenient to reach. The communication before travelling was very quick upon check in hernon made sure we had everything we need during our stay. We crossed paths only a couple times in the house. This made it feel like a private house instead of a shared flat.

  • Stayed in Hernan's place for 5 nights, couldn't recommend it more! So helpful in helping us with info getting to and from the apartment. Cosy room and only a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway. Would recommend !!

  • Comfy room and right in the middle of East Harlem. Good location and safe.

    Monique2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place at an affordable price. It's not very close to most touristy attractions but the transit system and Uber carpool are extremely affordable to use to get around. Google/Apple maps are your friend when using the transit system. The whole place was very clean. This place is located in East Harlem. Which is a cool little area.

  • Hernan and Chelsea were really welcoming and friendly as we arrived at their warm and cosy apartment. They were heading off for the weekend so we didn't see them again, but they were available as we needed. Hernan went out if his way to sort an Airbnb related glitch out for us which we really appreciated. The apartment has a relaxed and easy feel to it, the bed is super comfortable, and the shower delivers a constant warmth in the lovely guest bathroom. While we were in NYC at freezing temperatures, the 10 min walk to the #6 Subway was in easy reach to get to lower Manhattan. You'll love staying here!

    Gary & Nicky2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Hernan's place. The location is very good, we did everything walking! The place is clean and welcoming. We recommend it!
