  • This place was not only adorable but super clean. The location was amazing. Literally a 10 minute walk to Canal/Bourbon Street. We would definitely consider staying here again if back in New Orleans.

  • Great location and hosts were very in touch. Would highly recommend!

  • This was a great little condo. I traveled to New Orleans with my daughter, who had never visited the city. With the sleeper sofa, we had two beds enabling privacy when we wanted it. We could walk to the French Quarter and there were good breakfast restaurants in the neighborhood.

  • Accurate photos of the property. Close walking to most of downtown. I would definitely recommend to others.

  • This was a Wonderful place to stay!! It was everything expected and more. Stylish, clean, and cozy! The location is perfect to walk to everything and still be a bit out of the way if the bourbon street noise. Also, the communication was superb, kindly checking in and offering advice on things to do. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to book this proper and I will definitely return. Thank you Mandy and Krystal so much for being such wonderful hosts!

    Kellie2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Krystal & Mandy’s place was very nice all of the pictures are accurate. For some reason I thought we would be staying at the Roosevelt hotel residences, but we were in the apartments next door. The apartment is walking distance from everything. I literally walked back and for from bourbon street just because I forgot my lip gloss and it wasn’t a big deal because the walk was so short. We got there super early before check in and were able to leave our bags at Krystal and Mandys friends barber shop down the street. I know when you think, barber shop, it’s like, ehhh. But it’s no regular barber shop it’s looks like a boutique and the owner Peggy was very helpful about where to go before our check in. Overall great location the roof top is nice and you get pics of where the crane fell while they were rebuilding the hard rock. Krystal and Mandy were great host and I’d stay there again. Not with 3 people, it’s big enough for a couple even though it stays 4.

  • Guys this location is perfect. It’s a few steps from Canal so easy to get to everything. I way prefer staying in this area as it’s not gritty and a cleaner area. So close to some fantastic coffee places and easy to get to parking (30/day). The appt itself is spacious and beautiful. Second floor. Easy access. Beds amazingly comfortable. Pillows wonderful. Balcony is off the master—so fun. View isn’t pretty but so fun to have outdoor space.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Erins place was wonderful, nice location, clean & quick responses for any questions we had!

    Haleigh2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Erin is such a lovely host!! She responds so quickly and always makes sure you have everything you need, as well as having a bunch of really good recommendations for what to do and where to eat. I would definitely stay at Erin's place again if I visit New Orleans again in the future.

    Mike2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely neighborhood stay in NOLA. The tastefully decorated rooms are exactly as described and sparkling clean. Private entrance is convenient and two entrances to shared bathroom between the two private bedrooms. Although a bookcase basically separate the rooms from the hostess’s private residence area, this was not a problem for us. A convenient mini-fridge with tea & coffee making machine is provided, as well as snacks, water & beer in the larger bedroom! There is an excellent coffee shop about 4 blocks’ walk (Coffee Science).

    Jean2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place!

  • Perfect stay in the heart of NOLA. Erin is a Super Host.

    Martha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Erin’s place was lovely. It felt like our own little house behind her house. The place is super clean and stylish. When we arrived to Erins place after walking all over the city, we were delighted to find refreshments when we arrived to our place! The house is in a residential area, just two blocks from the street car stop, so it was very easy to get into the city. Definitely recommend!

    Kathryn2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming room in a cute, quiet neighborhood. Safe area to walk with some of the host's recommended places within walking distance. Erin thinks of everything; there were beverages in the fridge and local snacks for when we arrived. Super clean!

  • We so much enjoyed New Orleans and our first night's stay at this Airbnb studio that we reserved an extra night. Matthew was super accommodating and helpful in all our communications. A delightful spot for a couple of tourists to relax after exploring this amazing city.

    Alison2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a convenient, safe and cheerfully eclectic place for 1 or 2 people to stay in New Orleans, this one fits the bill. Our only sighting of a host was the briefest of encounters of Katherine through their front door opened a crack so as not to let the dog out. However, written messages with Matthew were promptly and very helpfully answered. One end of St Charles Street trolley is within very easy walk from the Airbnb studio. It was immensely helpful to have our own parking space in the driveway. City driving and parking can be awkward, but the trolley system and Uber/Lyft met every transportation need. Matthew and Katherine have provided helpful recommendations for eating places and sites to visit, clear information on the amenities, and specific instructions for tidying up etc before checkout. All in all, a good place!

    Alison2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay! The garden/backyard area is gorgeous (and made a great backdrop for a photo i took!) We really loved that there were lots of places to eat close by, since we were trying to avoid the busier areas at night. Matthew and Katherine were very kind and welcoming. The local beers and snacks were a nice surprise after our 5 hour drive. :) Thank you for making our trip awesome!

    Sarah2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great for a weekend getaway. Beautiful outdoor area. Would recommend.

    Ariel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew and Katherine’s place was perfectly located. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but conveniently located near shops and restaurants. They’re three blocks from the street car and five minutes drive from magazine street. The space was perfect for me who just needed a place to sleep, shower, and then get up and go. If you want a more laid back approach, the garden was perfect for a good book and a cold beer. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at their place.

    Matthew2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • I loved it here! The neighborhood is so lovely, it is an easy walk to the streetcar, and the little yard and garden are so wonderful. Everything clean and comfy inside, and I appreciated the oatmeal on my last morning as I waited for my airport cab. Super quiet and safe.

    Sarah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I have just completed a 18 day music tour and This is best Airbnb I have stayed in on the trip. I highly recommend. The hosts are great the decor is fabulous and the outside space was so nice I had to take pictures so I could copy a few of the ideas for at home!! It’s in a quiet safe area only a short journey into the centre. It has lots of nice extras that were warmly received.

With 5,000+ sq ft of living space and 1/3 acre of gardens, The Mazant is a historic mansion located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1.5 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and The Music Box. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
** UPDATE FEB 2020 ** The pool and hot tub are complete and ready for use for all stays starting after February 27, 2020. We have added some new low-res photos of the yard and will add fully updated photos by mid-March. Please reach out if you have any questions. ======= Over the past several years we have renovated the property, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 175+ year old oak tree. At the same time, we also updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 75-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow * Viking kitchen appliances  The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: two twin beds - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) and pull out sofa bed (double) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combo. The caretaker’s cottage is not available for rent. Our onsite caretaker is available to handle requests/questions throughout your stay.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Stunning mansion that's beautifully set up for a crowd with great entertaining spaces, a modern well-equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms and gorgeous garden - and even a small pool and hot tub. We loved the Bywater location, with easy access to terrific local restaurants and a relaxed neighborhood. A long walk or easy cab ride to French Quarter and other fun places to visit.

  • WOW the pictures look great but the actual mansion is fantastic!! We received info about the area and the amenities were so thoughtful. Our family of 15 were very comfortable, lots of space and bathrooms thoughtful laid out. We sat around the fire pit several nights and marveled at the whole place. The local food and bars were a blast. Do go and walk the neighborhood is very safe and locals are friendly. The info on the house and the pictures of the process of restoring it were really interesting. Kevin is so sweet and thoughtful , thank you Kevin

  • This house is better in person than in the pictures! A perfect location for a quiet night or going out - head to the French Quarter and come home to a place that is quiet enough to fall asleep. We couldn't thank Jeff enough for his hospitality, as a group of 20 celebrating an engagement the bottle of champagne and king cake in the fridge were such a sweet touch!

We cooked/catered in the house a couple of days and had everything we needed. Excellent attention to detail. You can even walk to the French Quarter (~30 min) by taking a promenade along the river, just south of the house. Fantastic place!

Short uber right to the French quarters. And has a great balcony to just relax on and people watch. We were given recommendations on food and other activities as soon as we arrived and it was just an overall fun place to stay at. Thanks for making our short girls trip memorable

  • Lindsey’s place is fantastic! It is spacious but still cozy. It has a hip, turn of the century vibe that is wonderful. Great location, tucked away but still close to everything. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to many of the museums and a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter. We loved our stay and will be back again!

    Jessica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. Unique location. It’s a historic building so a little rough around the edges (hence 4 stars for cleanliness vs. 5) but that has nothing to do with Lindsey. The spaces she could reach were immaculate! Street noise bothered us the first night but then we discovered a huge box of ear plugs and were fine. The space is truly beautiful and the location perfect. Lindsey even offered to keep and donate our excess Mardi Gras throws. Would stay again! Side note: coffee across the street was a perfect first stop every morning.

  • Beautiful space & great location! Lindsey gave us clear directions for checking in/out and plenty of local suggestions. Loved all the natural products. We will definitely stay here again!

  • Perfect home away from home in NOLA! This Airbnb is insanely beautiful and immaculately clean. I’ve stayed in a lot of airbnbs and I think this one is the most beautiful. A 15 minute walk to most districts, this is the perfect central location. Thanks for a great stay, Lindsey!

  • Ryan was a fantastic host! We never met, but he responded very quickly to any questions I had. We were three girls visiting New Orleans for the first time and felt super safe at his place. Also the pictures don’t do it justice... so many areas to chill alone or with someone else. Also he let us stay an extra hour for check out, and offered to hold our bags until our flight. Thanks for everything!

    Erin2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was cozy and gave off great vibes, there was enough beds and privacy options to accommodate 4 adults. You’ll be sharing one bathroom, which is the only problem we ran into. Otherwise they had two flat screen TVs with most streaming services hooked up ready to use and the beds were perfect for my standards and I didn’t hear any complaints from my friends either. I can’t wait to go back and will definitely stay here again 💕

  • For young and social travelers this place is perfect. I was nervous booking a hostel but all the reviews were spot on with how beautifully decorated, clean and well located this Airbnb is. The hospitality is also beyond that I expected including staff members going well out of their way to make the sleeping arrangements comfortable.

  • AMAZING Airbnb experience-- the best I have ever had! Everything was prepared beautifully for us-- from the Cafe Du Monde coffee grinds + french press to the thoughtful magazines on the coffee table. The home is stunning with high ceilings and very modern decor. (The water pressure in the shower is to die for!!) We did not get to use the kitchen but it was fully equipped with appliances. The home is about 15-20 minutes from the quarter and a 5 minute walk to Magazine Street. The host was SO accommodating and gracious and she definitely enhanced our trip. I will definitely stay here when it's time to visit NOLA once again. Thanks so much!

We believe anyone that makes it to New Orleans in their lifetime is lucky and we're here help you make the most of that good fortune.

  • Can't say enough great things about this spot. It was the perfect home base during my first visit to New Orleans, which was a mix of work and play. I was there for a conference but also had some time to explore the city. The location is central, free breakfast is great, easy check-in/out policy, ability to leave your luggage at the location after check-out if you need some extra time to explore. Met some lovely people. I got my own bathroom in the room to share with up to 3 people. Definitely stay here if you need a fun, casual, comfortable place to stay in New Orleans!!

My husband Kyle, our dog Rook, and I live in the other half of the double, so if you ever have any questions or need a good local suggestion, we will be here for you! License: 18STR-19837
Our faubourg (neighborhood) is one of the oldest in New Orleans. It is packed with Creole cottages, shotguns, and corner stores. We love it because we are in the heart of so much. Two parks, a pizza joint, beer and wine gardens, vintage/junk shops, coffee spots, and so much more are all within a few short blocks. Plus, we are right next to Frenchman and the French Quarter.
  • We had two wonderful days at Emilys place. Emily and Kyle were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to meet them. We had lots of space for us and our little babygirl, everything was clean and beautifully decorated. The location of the house is perfect to explore New Orleans by foot. Thank you again:)

  • Emily’s place was great! I loved the vintage character of the cottage. Parking was convenient, the neighborhood was quiet and close to most things. We walked everywhere. Pizza Delicious is just around the corner and is, well, delicious! Emily was helpful and quick to respond. I would definitely stay here again :)

  • This place was AMAZING! Right next to the action, but also along a quite street. The room has its quirks, but it did not detract from the location, beauty, and ambiance of the hotel. We LOVED LOVED LOVED it and it was PERFECT for our group of 12.

  • The charm of this apartment was incredible! My four girlfriends and I fit perfectly and we could not have asked for a better location!

    Mary2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Charming! Great visit! Wished we couldn’t stayed longer!

    Priscilla2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • The champagne and oj was a nice touch. This location provided a great backdrop for our pre-wedding portraits. Everything was gorgeous and clean. The location was convenient, although tricky for parking. We took advantage of the first floor storage closet on checkin and checkout days and that was a godsend. We also appreciated the small details like the multi port outlet for charging our devices in the bedroom.

    Deborah2019-11-04T00:00:00Z

  • This place is absolutely beautiful, super clean and so cute! Just what I was looking for for my very first visit to New Orleans! The hosts were so welcoming and quick to communicate. We had no issues checking in and the location is great. Just steps away from Bourbon St. but still quiet enough to get some sleep :) My only suggestion to future guests is to pack somewhat light if you can because the stairs going up to the apartments are no joke! Not a complaint, just be prepared. Everything was wonderful, I would stay here again for sure!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Perfect location and such a beautiful place. The neighbors were all very nice. The host gave us many great recommendations of local places to eat/drink. Only a 10 minute or so walk to Bourbon street!

    Corinne2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Just what we needed. My cousin took the bed and I slept great on the comfy couch. Any street noises at night were remedied with a sound app. Safe. Great location. Beautiful street.

    Catherine2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in this historic shotgun house. It felt very authentic to New Orleans. The nextdoor neighbors were friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet, historical, but not somewhere we felt very safe day or night. We opted to take rideshare instead of walking around. Thank you to the hosts for sending us countless food/drink recommendations and for the quick communication. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

  • This is a very cozy room with great privacy and private walkway. The location is close to French Quarter, it’s around 30-45 mins walk to French Quarter, and 10 mins driving/Uber, very convenient. There’s Dollar General 3 mins walking if you want to grab some drink or snacks. Mariellen and her husband Scott are very friendly and accomodating. We had a great time staying over.

    NGOC2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Mariellen and her family are really nice ! Great location!! The guest house is clean ! I really have nothing bad to say about my experience in their house! Highly recommending it !!

    Oumou2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Mariellen's place is a fantastic option if you're staying in NOLA and want a quiet, neighborhood-y experience. The location is great, walkable from Frenchman Street if you're up for it, otherwise only 5 mins in a cab. Mariellen and her husband were very communicative and helpful.

    Sara2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Decent place if you want to avoid the noise from French Quarter. Uber is ~$10 into downtown so not too bad.

    Nghia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is superb accommodation which will suit a range of travellers' needs. It's not downtown, but in a quiet neighbourhood. If you use Uber or Lyft it is really easy to get into town. If you don't, it's a bit trickier. You can phone a local taxi company, or take the city bus. The taxis were between $11 and $13, depending on the time of day. The bus is just $1.25, or $3 for a full day. A great thing is that the bus stop is just one minute away from the accommodation. However, the service seemed to be irregular when I was in town. As another reviewer mentioned, it's possible to walk into the city as well, and it's true - I did it a couple of times. The hosts are extremely nice people - welcoming and kind, respectful of privacy and obliging in every way. I had a few very nice chats with Marshall about music, and he loaned me a couple of great music books during my stay. Any requests I had were addressed straight away. The accommodation is amazing - comfortable and spacious. There is extra bedding in case it's needed. I wasn't expecting it but it got cold at nights (in January) so that was very welcome. There are lots of amenities like fridge, coffee maker and an extensive library which is full of really good books. It would be easy just to spend the day relaxing here and reading! There is a supermarket about 2 minutes away, where you can stock up on basic foods, toiletries and other needs. All in all I would highly recommend this accommodation.

    Matteo2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Mariellen's place. The room is super cozy and it's very near to french quarter which was perfect for us ($6-$8 by uber/lyft). We arrived pretty late at around 12-1 and Scott was so accommodating in waiting on us so that we could get settled well. Mariellen was always quick to respond and offered some great suggestions too. I was a good stay. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Andrew2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we pulled up, we knew it was going to be a special place. It is on a Main Street, but you could not hear any street noise inside. The hosts left a nice welcome basket and had the house decorated for Mardi Gras. The bathrooms were fully stocked with all the great essentials, which we did not end up using. But left for the next guest in case needed. We spent 8 days there and couldn’t have been happier. Thank you!

    Brittany2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I came to NOLA for a quick 2day getaway trip and she chose This location. What caught our eyes am and made us ultimately choose this location to rent was the pictures that were shown. She fell in love with the bathroom and the vintage looking Tub and details. When we first arrived there was a slight issue but once I communicated with him he and his wife Michelle were quick to resolve the issue and even provided us a free night. The home was beautiful and looks even better than the pictures show. The backyard was private and intimate. Norman and his wife Michelle were pleasant and accommodating. They even allowed us to have a late checkout because we had a late flight. The area was safe and quiet and near to the French Quarter as well as other popular bars and restaurants and stores. My girlfriend and I were able to walk 15-20min to the French Quarter and Bourbon St. Only inconvenience is that there is a freight train that comes multiple times of the day/night randomly which makes it a long wait to head to the other side of the road. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to anyone. This will be my place to stay at whenever we come to NOLA now

    Alex2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my son and one of his buddies, this was perfect for us! Norman was an excellent host that always answered immediately and was so friendly. Check in instructions were relayed in a timely and precise manner. The AC wasn’t working properly on our first night but after contracting Norman the next morning he had it fixed before we returned from sightseeing that afternoon, it worked great after that! We didn’t have a car so we just used Uber and Lyft to get back and forth from the French Quarter. There are several great restaurants that you can walk to in the area around here though. Wine and snacks were left for us and I was excited to have a glass of wine in the beautiful backyard but we were too tired the first night and it rained the second night. Oh well, it was a really nice touch though! We did hear our neighbors come home the first night and some road noise in the front room for the person sleeping there but we do realize this is an older home and it wasn’t unbearable. They had everything we needed and the sheets and towels were really nice. There is a Family Dollar just across the street in case you forget something or need to stock up on some snacks! Everything was clean and the decor was really cute, cute inside and out!! I would definitely recommend this property unless you want to be in walking distance to the French Quarter.

    Jodi2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This home is gorgeous and I felt completely at home. I loved everything about my stay. This home has incredible style and it was so clean. Oh, and the backyard was amazing, it is absolutely perfect for a morning cup of coffee or tea. I will definitely be staying here again.

Tiny efficient 3 bedroom mother-in-law cottage with pictures of mountains everywhere. :) People love our comfortable beds and couches, TV, and kitchen. PERMIT NUMBER TIME! 20STR-01539 and 19-OSTR-0000 No house is perfect but we want to be the perfect fit for you. Please read our reviews carefully. Please know that our place is mini size! The Treme can be a rough neighborhood sometimes. Our house can get hot. (UPDATE: not anymore, we fixed it :-D )
Free street parking. Hanging plants leading up to your door. 2 real bedrooms with independent entrances. We want you to feel cold as a mountain top. We just installed a brand new AC system to keep you comfortable the whole time. You will have a TV with an HD antenna and a full kitchen. :)
The Treme is a wonderful historic district of New Orleans. Please read all about it and enjoy our city. Please be aware that New Orleans is not a safe city and the Treme is no exception. It's best to travel in groups, in daytime, and along populated areas. It's bad to travel alone at night on empty dark streets.
  • so much better than what i expected!!

    Zac2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was everything we needed it to be. There were 5 women staying here which made getting showered and ready a bit of a challenge with one bathroom, but we made the best of it. The location is great even though it’s not right in the middle of all of the French Quarter action because there is so much right there in the neighborhood. I was concerned about safety when we first booked, but upon arrival, I was out at ease with the use of codes for checking in instead of keys, and the nature of the property and the neighborhood as a whole. Would book here again! Great value.

    Ashley2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • This place is fantastic! It’s close to every single thing that you need and walking distance do everything you want to do in the French quarter. It was amazing to be able to watch a parade right outside my door. I would definitely stay here again!

  • We loved our stay here during our visit to New Orleans! The location of it was perfect, we were right next to Bourbon Street! There were snacks and water in the fridge, which we appreciated when we checked in. The place was absolutely beautiful with the chandeliers and cool brick walls. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were so soft! We had some problems with the shower, it went from cold to warm many times throughout each shower, I think it was because others were using their showers in the other units? We would love to stay here again, we absolutely loved it!

    Kristi2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Stylish too!

    Todd2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • I have been to New Orleans many times. This place is hands down the BEST location there is. You are right on Bourbon basically!!!!!! The place is gorgeous.... the little extra touches were adorable. This is the coolest Air BNB I have ever stayed in! The courtyard was great to hang out in! Don’t be a fool.... book this place ASAP! I know I will again

  • Location is perfect. Fritzels right around the corner, breakfast place across the street. Super cozy. Most likely will stay here from now on. It's a little pricey but if your only going once in awhile it's worth the splurge.

Hard times! Feel free to ask questions for your future visit to our City. My home is located in the quiet historic HolyCross neighborhood in the 9th Ward. Plenty of Free parking. Two blocks from the Mississippi River. You would be my guest and a guest in my neighborhood. An easy five minute Drive into the French Quarter and reasonably quick trip with taxi or Uber. My Guidebook lists restaurants and drinking establishments in neighboring neighborhoods. Read my reviews!
Completely private. Great for solo travelers and comfortable for two. A mini refrigerator, microwave and a coffee pot and tea kettle. I'm happy to provide anything else you may need and please don't hesitate to ask.
    Quiet historical residential neighborhood.
  • Deb is great. Lovely, cozy place with nice little touches throughout. Great picture book about New Orleans Now and Then. Overall a nice place to stay when in Nola.

    Andy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Deb is an incredible host and the place she offers is cozy, cute and a relief from the madness of New Orleans (which is why you’re there in the first place, but the relief is welcome). The place isn’t in the main part of town itself, but having a car made it close enough and incredibly easy while staying quiet at night. An Uber would be a great option too...though I was happy with the car. Deb recommended an intimate wine/cheese bar + restaurant and live music outdoor venue (all in one) called Bacchanal and it absolutely made a night while here. It was genuine and cool and all thanks to Debs hospitality and local knowledge. Would absolutely stay again!!!

    Igor2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Deb was a wonderful host, very accommodating and enthusiastic and quick to answer any questions! We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and hope to be back again sometime

    Clare2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Deb’s house was warm, clean, adorable and safe. We would DEFINITELY come back!

    Alex2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Deb’s place is a real treat. Parking is great, we never had an issue finding a close space to park. The neighborhood is quiet and close enough to all the action. Making it the ideal place to get some rest but still enjoy all the excitement that is New Orleans. She will give you loads of great suggestions for places to visit, eat and explore. As a super host from Omaha, Ne (having hosted well over 1,000 stays), we were able to even learn some things from our stay at Deb’s place. The room offers a full (private) bathroom with soap, shampoo, conditioner and fresh towels. The kitchenette offers access to coffee, a kettle, mini fridge, and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and we always got a wonderful nights sleep. If we are ever back in New Orleans we will definitely stay at Deb’s.

    Alicia2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Deb is an amazing host and her cute pup :)! She kept contact with us throughout the whole trip as well as checking in if we ever needed anything or just to make sure things were running smoothly in the guest home. Her place is extremely peaceful and so beautiful and only 5-8 min away from the French Quarter by Uber (did not mind that at all). We definitely recommend booking Deb's airbnb because it will not disappoint. It has everything you need and the decor will make your stay there even more amazing. Thank you once again Deb for your hospitality, we will most definitely be back!

    Eva2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place was so great! Would definitely love to visit again!

Nice little house that has a private entrance to the bedroom that connects to the backyard. BBQing & smoking outside OK, but not inside. Beautiful location near the historic Algiers Point & Algiers ferry that connects to downtown New Orleans including the French Quarter, Riverwalk Mall, Aquarium, and French Market that has numerous shops and places to eat. Local buses and trolleys take you wherever you want to go.
The private room I have it's small but it's cozy and it fits 2 very comfortable and there's another bed that is memory foam and it is just a mattress that goes to the floor. I also have plenty of extra blankets and pillows there is Wi-Fi and TV, I also provide soap towels and shampoo. there's plenty of water in the refrigerator. also there's a kitchen separating me from the guest room, so you don't have to worry about noise I don't hear anything day or night.
My neighborhood is nice all my neighbors are friendly I have a great view of the Twin Bridges from my porch I also have a great view of the bridge a block away from the Riverwalk. I have free parking and my neighborhood is very safe. it's also safe to walk at night I live in a great neighborhood.
  • Michelle's place was very small but comfortable. Michelle is a great host. She called many times before the trip to know when we were arriving and what she could do to help. When we got there, she and her family were very friendly, they cooked breakfast for us and Michelle bought a lot of fruits for us. Michelle's place is on the bus line and also close to the ferry. Michelle was so kind to give us rides to the ferry and also into midtown to take the St Charles streetcar. Definitely a great place to stay in New Orleans

    Jewel2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle, you are an amazing host, super fun and very attentive, thank you very much for your attention to us and for opening the doors of your house, we would definitely return with you, besides the location was great, very close to French Quarter, greetings and I hope that we see each other again! Warmly Isabel, Diana and Valeria ❤️

    Isabel2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place offers travelers a place to rest, eat, and clean up. There’s a full size bed and also a twin mattress, but this is a very small place, so I don’t recommend trying to fit more than three humans. She offered hot coffee in the morning, and bottled water. She had sample toiletries for you to use, and if you need anything you really just ask her and she will help you out. We rode her bikes down to the levee and over the ferry into downtown ($2) about a 10 min bike ride! (Ferry is walk on or bike on only, no vehicles and connects to the downtown aquarium area) There is no central AC, and the room only has a window unit, and the kitchen has a fan. The bathroom has a vent but it got hot at some points but overall tolerable. To combat the heat, I used one of the towels and draped it over the curtain to block out more sunlight. There is only one working outlet in the room, and none in the restroom from what I saw, I recommend bringing an extension cord with 3 outlets. The shower head sits a little low and doesn’t have high pressure, I’m 5”7 and had to lean backwards and squat to wash my hair, but it does get the job done and the hot water lasts awhile! I never heard any traffic from the bridge, but occasionally heard the neighbors moving and showering, which wasn’t bad. The backyard is very nice to sit and relax, look at the various plants, and pet Missie the Cat. She has two sweet dogs (Blue & Pancho) and a friendly parrot, which you do not hear unless they are greeting you! I would suggest this to anyone who is looking for a short stay in New Orleans that will give you the feel of an *authentic* NOLA shotgun architectural style house!

    Allison2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle was accommodating every step of the way! She had everything set up and ready for our arrival! It was a wonderful, perfect If you need a quick stay in New Orleans! She even had toiletries and a fresh hot coffee ready for us in the morning. One of the best hosts I have ever had, Michelle is definitely the home to go!!! Thank you so much!

    Emily2019-08-04T00:00:00Z

    Michelle2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Very gracious, accommodating hosts! Thank you Michelle and William !

    Troy2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was private and our dog enjoyed the backyard. She was fun and saavy host, had many local suggestions. The bed was nice as was the air conditioning. the bridge was nice to look at at night. Would stay again.

    Jennifer2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is such a thoughtful and attentive host. My little family has traveled and stayed at guest houses all over the country and I can’t think of a more warm and welcoming visit. Michelle loves dogs and treated ours so well. It’s hard to find places that are accommodating to pets- especially in a great location, with a reasonable cost. Our room was small and cozy for the three of us- but clean, cool and comfortable. We hope to visit again sometime.

  • Great space to rent and at a great location

    Gian2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a good value and easily walkable to the French Quarter. It feels more like a hotel than an apartment someone lives in, so it lacks the charm and supplies you get from staying in a person’s primary residence. Perfect for a couple traveling together that want a simple hotel feel but with some extra conveniences like a big bathroom, kitchen, big closet, laundry in the unit, dishwasher, etc. I was glad for the coffee maker and the fact that ground coffee was provided. But since this isn’t a residence, don’t expect to find stuff like cooking oil, seasonings, etc. that you normally find in Airbnb’s that someone lives in. My two complaints are: 1) the hot water in the shower doesn’t work very well, I had to take a very unpleasant cold shower and then later realized that the knob is wrong—you need to turn it towards the cold side to get hot water. 2) there is no balcony even though the description said so. But otherwise this is a good and affordable option!

Oh the fans were a huge plus to this person who always sleeps with a fan on. Too many things to name them all. We only got into our car once to go to the bayou. Everywhere else was an easy walk!

  • This was one of the best air bnbs I’ve stayed in! It was our first time in NOLA and we had a blast. The location was perfect walking distance to everything. There was 6 of us staying and were concerned about being crammed looking at the pictures but to our surprise the pictures do not do this place justice. Very spacious! And had 2 full sized mirrors lol us girls appreciated that! Cory was helpful with anything we needed and accommodated our early flight. Everything we possibly could have needed or forgotten Cory provided! Definitely would book this stay again when returning to NOLA!

  • This space was perfect for our Mardi Gras week in the French quarter! Bourbon street was right there 2 second walk! Tons of food places around! 10 minute walk to pretty much anywhere in the quarter from Cafe Du Monde to Jackson Square the French market, Frenchmen St. the space was clean and they had little touches from champagne and coffee to strands of beads to get us started for Mardi Gras! The courtyard was so cute and nice to sit out in the evening! The room was perfect for 6 women to sleep and get ready for the day! Barrett was incredible host day 1 I had an incident where my phone was stolen and he was kind enough to allow me to ship it to his office and he brought it to the room personally! We couldn’t ask for a better host! We also utilized the car service to and from the airport the guys were awesome, timely and gave us great tips about where to go and what to see and info on the city itself! If you need transportation definitely utilize the driver listed! You won’t regret it and the cost was so reasonable compared to Uber or a cab! All in all we would stay here again for sure! Happy Mardi Gras!

  • Nice place. Incredibly good location with short walks to everything in the quarter. The host know hospitality. The basic room/suite was nice but the little touches made it extra nice: juice, snacks, bottled water. bag storage and a nice little courtyard. It also surprised me that we were so close to Bouron Street and a bar nearby yet the noise from the revelers was minimal. in short all good.

  • Gwendolyn is a very kind host with a beautiful property situated in the Treme area. This house is just a $5 Uber away from the French quarter or a short 15 minute walk. While in the area try learning about Treme’s history and get a feel for something other than the French Quarter! Her property is very old school with original wood floors and a giant tub with no shower. Our room had a beautiful balcony on the second floor. Bed was clean and tv had basic cable. • Kay’s place is central to all the fun and attractions of the French Quarter! The apartment was super cute and clean. Front desk staff as well as local tenants were very friendly and informative about the area. Kay was an awesome host who was very accommodating. Highly recommend staying here on your next trip!

  • What a great place to stay!!! Check in was seamless...the directions were clear and concise and we had no issues whatsoever. Parking Garage is right around the corner which was convenient. We were so close to the French Quarter so the location was perfect! The apartment was comfortable and nicely decorated and response time on behalf of the staff was fast, helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in NOLA!

  • Nice accommodations. Clean. Very responsive. Can be a little loud at night but that’s just the city.

  • This apartment is very nice and clean! The apartment I booked was not represented well by the pictures that are provided; however, it still accommodated my needs. I loved the speedy responses from the host, and the location of the building.

  • This hotel room is perfect for a short stay in NOLA, especially if you want to attend the theater. It’s so close! The room is furnished beautifully, and the bed is super comfortable! We really enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. The Canal Street streetcar is closed temporarily, making it a little more difficult to get to the French Quarter. The lobby has nice seating areas, where we waited after arriving early. We were able to store our luggage and go exploring. We would stay there again! Thanks.

  • Had to cancel the trip last minute due some scheduling interferences. However, the host was very understanding and helpful. Communication was always quick. Also reassured us to book again with her. Hopefully I we can do so next time!
