We had a great stay with our 11 month old baby. The island is MAGNIFICENT, crystal clear water just AMAZING !! A real aquarium !! The food is excellent we enjoyed the local dishes we already miss !! CONGRATULATIONS to the cook a real chef. The staff are friendly helpful and have enormous patience. However the room was narrow for a family of 3 with a small window that overlooked the corridor, we noticed later in our stay that there were much larger rooms which was not specified in the ad air Bnb. If this would be indicated or clarified when we arrived we would not hesitate to take a larger room which was a shame on this point. Remember to put larger garbage cans in the rooms because only one small garbage can already 2 layers it was already filled. For the next travelers plan an insecticide it is really important! Mosquitoes do not stand still !! Haneef a welcoming host I recommend this dream place you will not regret it.

It is with a heavy heart that we left Maalhos yesterday morning ... What a joy to share these moments with people as human, helpful and kind as Haneef, Ali, Aslem and all the rest of the team ... Always full of attentions, they were extraordinary with our two little girls. The hotel and really neat and clean. The food there is very good! We had a great typical couple stay on the island of Maalhos. This allows you to see the real Maldives while enjoying its exceptional nature. The excursions offered are varied, you can even spend the day at a resort if you wish!

This Airbnb is a fabulous experience from the moment you arrive. Haneef is a wonderful host, you will feel safe, looked after and it’s a privelage to be welcomed into this small local island community. The snorkeling is amazing, I saw reef sharks, eels, turtles, eagle ray, lobsters, thousands of fish and it was stunning. What an amazing place, we didn’t want to leave. I recommend a week at least to really unwind and relax into island life. The whole island community is so friendly and we had such an amazing time. You won’t be disappointed as the beach, water and outlook are divine. Loved it and will be coming back again in the future. Such a relaxed welcoming experience, also safe for women as it’s alcohol free.

Maalhos is very special place. We had a magical Christmas there made all the better by Haneef and his team who showed incredible hospitality throughout. We strongly recommend the excursions. We snorkelled off an amazing coral reef on Christmas Day, which our children will always remember. After saying here among the local community we wonder why anyone would choose the manufactured experience of a resort. Thank you Haneef.

Forget the travel brochure artificiality of the resorts, if you want to experience the heart and soul of true Maldives then a stay on Maalhos with Haneef and his wonderful team at Dhonfulhafi will give you exactly that. I have never before experienced a host who genuinely wants to make sure every aspect of your trip is looked after. From arranging transfers, providing beautifully comfortable and clean accommodation, delicious food, and organising amazing excursions, it truly is 5* service. We visited as a family of 4 in Dec 2019 with our two young boys (aged 6 and 4) and stayed at both the Inn and the Beach View and Spa. Maalhos is a beautiful island, with an incredibly beautiful house reef, sandy beaches, jungle, and vibrant wildlife. We saw turtles, rays, moray eels, dolphins and scores of beautiful fish without going more than 10m from the beach. It is an inhabited island and you really feel part of a beautiful and peaceful community in daily walks around the village. Nothing was too much trouble for Haneef and his team, especially Aslam and Ali. They adapted experiences for the boys and gave them such incredible memories. Personal touches such as Ali’s homemade kite and Aslam’s eternal patience with our boys’ rather misplaced fishing knowledge and obsession with the wrong sort of fishing lines will long stay in our memory and we were so sad when our 10 days was up. Having thought our trip was once in a lifetime it has left us wanting more and we would 100% return to Dhonfulhafi, hopefully before too long. Thankyou, until next time ... :)

A big thank you to our host Haneef but also to Aslam, Shahuna and all the others who were very kind but also for their availability, it allowed us to know better the local life and to appreciate its inhabitants but also the Maldives otherwise than on a postcard. The excursions were wonderful, the meals simple and delicious and finally Maalhos is an island in paradise like so many others where one feels good thanks to the benevolence of each and the beauty on all sides, I hope Go back because I miss them already!

We had a fantastic stay here! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They even helped me for a romantic dinner for proposal and it was a great success! The room was nice and clean and the food was very delicious. We loved this place and would come back everytime :-)

The staff are attentive and very kind. We spent a pleasant holiday with them. Fathu is very nice, take the time to chat with him (and the Palace of Versailles :)). They listen to your comments as they seek to improve, do not hesitate to tell them what was good or not. Every lunchtime, it's a vegetarian buffet and in the evening, buffet with fresh fish cooked by the chef, excellent! Among all the guesthouses on the island, I recommend this one just for the staff. Small information, it is an island where the locals live (Muslims), so an adequate outfit is required in the street / shop, but on the bikini beach (at 7min) and within the confines of the guesthouse no worries to be like you want.

It amazing staying with such nice people. Island was very calm and comfortable. People around were very cooperative and helpful. Overall a very nice experience. Organisation of everything by hotel staff was very friendly. They were always ready to help and guide.

We were there on our family vacation. It was just superb. Right from the time I have booked, I had good support and pointers promptly. Someone was there to pick us up from Airport, the ferry was managed to the island. Everything was as shown on the site. The staff is extremely prompt and very friendly and helpful. They were always available. Island gives the local experience and opportunity to interact with locals. Even though it is small island, it has everything one may need. Couple of restaurants (really slow service) basic grocery shops, great artists and amazing options of snorkelling. The best food is available at Ocean beach Inn itself, but one is to inform them in advance. Bikini beach is great but great place to connect with family.

The place is quite different from the other resort islands in Maldives as it comes with a warm welcome and a lot of loving gesture from the locals. The small piece of land has so much to offer right from house reef snorkelling to beach dinner. We were here on Christmas eve and Ocean Inn made beautiful arrangements for all the guests to make it a memorable experience for us.

We were very excited about our stay at this family-run establishment, the owner's wife is the cook, we tasted her kitchen and decided to eat there every day because we liked it so much and we thought it was the best in the whole 'island. The owners are very nice people, they always came to ask us if everything went well and we had nice chats with them. The island as we knew it is very small and there are no cars around, so the ideal place for those looking for some peace and tranquility, the bikini beach is a 5 minute walk away and is beautiful. The staff at the property are good guys who are always available to accompany you anywhere on the island. I definitely recommend this property!

Ahmed was an angel, he organised some special things for us and was always there for us if we needed something. Also the hotel and the people there were awesome. The room was clean and very comfortable. Also the daytrips were great we went to snorkeling where we saw mantas, turtels and whale sharks. But there are much more activities you can do. And for a day relaxing, there is also a bikinibeach. I really recommend this host to everbody who wants to have a great time on the maledives. Thanks for having us and maybe we will meet us again :)

The location on the beach at the end of town is a perfect, beautiful, quiet place to relax and enjoy nightly sunsets. The staff are exceptionally kind, friendly and attentive. Day trips are readily available for booking at the front desk and beach nearby. We invite you to come join the family!

Highly recommended, a fantastic beautiful accommodation with an even better view! Staff is super friendly, they are ready for you all day. The cook is really great, great food for little money .. Have also been included by the locals of the island, we have 2 nights with the people of the island, volleyball which even for myself and my sister in law led to an invitation to come back come for a tournament! Had wonderful days! Certainly not a goodbye but one until next time !!

A great experience from begining to end. Ahmed was quick on comm's, and went out of his way to ensure our family trip went well in every way. Excursions and activities were one of the highlights (thanks Abdulah - awesome!) - from night fishing through sunset cruise with dolphins to picnic island and snorkelling. Food was all very good (although the menu fairly basic) ...with BBQ dinner on the beach one of the highlights. The private beach, a 1min walk away, was fantastic, with a great house reef for snorkelling! Being a local island was also a great way to get a better feel for local life. There's obviously not a lot to do other than water activities of course, and being locl there's no alcohol available, so come prepared for this. My only slight negative on the whole trip is in relation to the public beach on the island - after a storm the beach stayed covered in plastic rubbish for over a week with everyone claiming it wasn't their job to clean it up - the locals need to sort an arrangement out for that - but this certainly isn't anything to do with the Manta Inn and our wonderful stay. Ahmed, Abdulah and team - a big thanks from the Fam and hope to see you again soon!

This is mainly a review about the host Mr. Ahmed...We were not able to make it to yonder because of bad wether conditions but Mr. Ahmed on the other hand was very cooperative and also helped us out in making other arrangements for us at mafushi in a very short time and also saved our honeymoon... He sent over a contact to receive us at the airport and through him made all the arrangements and also recommended us to a lovely resort in mafushi called Lily Rest. He was there for us through out the duration of the stay and is a gem of a person... He also accepted to refund the original amount... Never seen a host like him... I would highly recommend him even though we never actually got to meet him in person... So I can with out a doubt say that in person he would be even more helpful... Again Thanks Mr. Ahmed for being there for us...

Thanks!! To owner and the manager for making our trip fabulous. Ocean View from the place is awesome, lovely sight seeing, amazing hospitality and very friendly behaviour of the people. They made our trip memorable, took us for various water activities, did various arrangements for our enjoyment and clicked our pictures underneath ocean. It was complete fun and relaxing throughout the time.

We went to Yonder with 4 young kids and they really enjoyed everyday. We had an activity per day that showed us the gems of Maldives. From night fishing to Manta ray excursion, everything was great. Adam helped us everyday to make sure we had everything. The team really likes to show you the best of Maldives, not only the gems but also their people who are very nice and made us felt at home. Chiko’s place is absolutely amazing, few steps to the perfect blue beach and the best location in the small island, chiko and yakko were very friendly and if you are looking for a local host where u can feel the maldivian lifestyle this is the place to be, snorkeling gears were given at the place and activities can be arranged easily and if you just need something ask for it yakko and chiko will make it happen. Thanks for everything guys , great experience will be coming again for sure

I highly recommend staying at Beach Villas Ukulhas. Nice place close to the beach. Clean, comfortable room with a small private area. All restaurants are nearby. The guys will always help organize an excursion program. Feel free to contact them, they will always help. We had a great time.

Chiko and his family were very gracious in hosting our family of 4..... the rooms were very stylishand clean and comfortable. Location is excellent... 2 seconds to the bikini beach which is amazing and long....great snorkeling and heaps of great local restaurants to choose from. Staying on Ukulhas with the locals is by far a better option than staying with overseas owned resorts that cost a fortune.... staying at " Beach Villa Ukulhas" was fantastic.... loved the breakfast included served in your own beach courtyard. Snorkelling gear available.....Highly recommend Beach Villa Ukulhas

Wonderful place and nice beach. The hosts were very helpful and communication was good. We love the small garden infront of the house but it's not straight way facing the beach (we knew this in advanced since we had a look at Google Earth). You'll have to walk about 50m crossing the road infront to get to the beach. We hope to come back again. Highly recommend! :) Lasitha and Marlene

Yakko and his brother Chiko also ran by far the most beautiful guest house on the island - Beach Villa Ukulhas http://www.beachvillaukulhas.com/ The idyllic property is located directly on Bikini Beach. It offers 3 spacious bungalows that conjure up a wonderful oasis of calm with a beautiful terrace and a small front garden. Just a few steps and a few palm trees separate the temporary home from the azure Indian Ocean. Breakfast is served in your own garden at your desired time ... here, too, the team sets high standards in service. It is not for nothing that they are considered the top accommodation on the island. Whether dinner, beach dinner or Manta Ray snorkeling trip - everything is possible from a single source. But also over water and behind the beach, Ukulhas is a small island worth seeing, which brings you closer to real life in the Maldives. Until tourism arrived about 10 years ago, the Muslim locals lived on 99.9% of fishing. Of course, that has changed significantly, but you can still find it in the sandy alleys, in the small restaurants and in the harbor - the relaxed life in paradise ... not 100% cleared for glossy photos, but 100% natural.

Chiko has three bungalows just few meters from the beach. The bungalows all have “private” entrances and a small garden outside where the daily (included) breakfast was served. The place has everything you need; a big comfortable bed, AC, hot water in the shower, very nice staff, great food and it is also located very close to the best part of the long and nice bikini beach (with a great reef with beautiful fish, turtles and sharks just outside). The host Chiko and his family are really ensuring you have a wonderful stay. We could borrow snorkeling equipment from them, they serve lunch at the beach if you want and they are doing a lot of extra effort to make sure you have the best stay ever. I can highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to spend some days (or more) at Maldives and get a really nice local experience.

We have done quite a few AirBnBs including the USA, but Chiko's place takes the cherry on the cake. I can highly recommend to stay at the Beach Villas Ukulhas. Chiko and his wife are very helpful, friendly and a fun young couple. They have a very open communication line and would help with anything you can throw at them. Their villas are clean and serviced daily. The staff is just as friendly and helpful. We loved the local breakfast which was served right onto our porch. The bungalow is brilliantly located with just a few steps away from the beach. The beach of the island is surrounded by palm trees. This is one of the cleanest local islands of the Maldives with one of the longest bikini beaches. There is a reef close to shore and offers spectacular underwater scenery in waters waist high.

We booked the Beach Villa Ukulhas (Honeymoon Bungalow) after reading stellar reviews from past guests, and were not disappointed in the least - on the contrary, we enjoyed our (too short) stay even better than expected! Chiko and his brother Yakko (and their wives), were wonderful hosts for this family run Bed & Breakfast. They were very easy to communicate with, providing timely responses, and answering all of our questions. When we arrived at Male airport, we had a bit of a concern regarding the speedboat to their island - so, we called Chiko from the airport public phone, and he immediately contacted a local liaison for us who met us in person at the airport and helped sort out the situation. Chiko himself personally met us at the boat dock of his island and helped transfer our bags to the place (and, did the same on our way out). The villa itself is very well put together, with a beautiful garden, a nicely decorated courtyard, and a room that was a very pleasant respite after a month of backpacking. Breakfast and Dinner was absolutely incredible - so tasty! sooo much food! For us, what topped everything, was the service - the whole family is so genuine, so nice, that it felt like we were among friends the whole time. It was such a wonderful experience to get to know this beautiful family - they even played music after dinner for us one night (they are a real life band, and have created their own songs which they sang, and also some covers as well). What a great, unforgettable experience! :) Ukulhas Island is tiny (easily walkable from end-to-end in a few minutes) island, but we learned (from our research) that the tourist beach (also known as the 'bikini beach' as its the only beach bikinis are allowed) is the biggest of all of the inhabitable islands, and what we experienced was that the tourist beach stretched from one end of the island to the other end, with wonderful soft sand, crystal clear water, and easily accessible corals full of absolutely stunning colourful fish :) The Villa is right across and facing the tiny road that separates the town from the beach - meaning, it's about a 30 second walk from the villa to the beach. Nice, eh? We were able to snorkel and stand-up paddle board (gear available from the diving shop owned by the family), too! As professional travel bloggers, we can attest to the fact that this was one of our most memorable guesthouse stays, and we would highly, highly recommend the Beach Villa to any traveler to Maldives. We had a wonderful time! :)

I went with my family in December to visit Musthafa place. We wanted to stay on the island between people which live there. To know the food, the culture.we were looking for simplicity and we found it. People very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the food and activities.Musthafa was making sure we feel comfortable and was very helpful with whatever we request or aak.to. The beach was like 10 min walk but thebeach was beautiful. 1 min away was very cute coffee shop with amazing coffies and smoothies. We loved to spend time there an dolay games. Mt kids were playing footbal each day every evening We enjoyed our stay

Beach Heaven is certainly a gem of the Maldives! I travel overseas quite often for my job, I've been to over 30 different countries so I believe it speaks volumes about Beach Heaven that it was able to leave such a lasting impression on me. Now, when people ask what my favorite country is that I've visited so far, I don't hesitate for a second to say, "The Maldives!" If you're looking for a getaway that provides a low key relaxing environment, great service and outstanding excursion opportunities all for an affordable price, this is the place for you. The excursions were what I enjoyed the most. Beach Heaven offers sandbank/small island trips, fishing, snorkeling, diving and much more. The snorkeling and diving sites here are phenomenal and the guides, Xaan (dive guide) and Shaam (snorkeling guide) are both great and knowledgeable at what they do. If you're new or just rusty at diving and/or snorkeling, no need to worry, because they will make you feel both safe and comfortable. You really can't go wrong booking your stay here.

Muthafa's guest house was very welcoming and relaxing. As a solo traveller, I was never bored. There were lots of activities offered and many places to relax on the island.

I highly recommended Beach Heaven (Musthafa’s place) because of these reasons 1. Musthafa helped me plan my trip, so I had a fantastic experiences. 2. Musthafa could customize what I need. 3. All the staffs are nice and friendly. 4. Communication is clear (in English) 5. very reasonable cost (I compare a cost of activities between Musthafa and expensive resort. It's the same activity but the cost is far difference.) Musthafa could arrange many of activities with very reasonable cost. Thank you for making me and my mom had a wonderful trip ever and surely come back again.

This place is close to the beach. Mustafa is a great local guide and full of knowledge. He also organises trips etc on his own motorboats which is very useful. The food is nice and healthy.

Great place to stay in Huraa. Spacious and clean rooms. Brilliant staff.. They are super nuce, and will help you with everything you need. They also cook great food in the gest house kitchen. Make sure to order an iced lemon-ginger iced tea, they are the best. They also organise trips from the guest house at good prices. Sandbanks and snorkeling with sharks and turtles was amazing. They can also arrange day/evening trips to some of the fancy resorts with all inclusive.. We had a great day at Club Med. Would recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in Huraa!

I love Mahibadhoo islands . It’s a beautiful quiet wonder islands. But it does needs cleaning up around the beach. There’s many broken glasses if you are not careful to walk on it barefoot. While I was there I chose a guesthouse call The Amazing for stay over few nights. This is a family friendly business ran by Mazin’s family. My girlfriend and I had had a wonderful time in this island and have learnt a lot other cultures . Mazin is provide services boat transfer from Mahibadhoo island to 5 stars resort - Conrad’s Maldives. It takes roughly 30’ boat ride where we can have a few cocktails and dipping into a blue lagoon ocean or in a massive pool. Over all what an amazing experienced for us! Great time!

Great place with delicious food, super friendly host(s), clean and relatively big rooms. There are a lot of optional activities that you can choose from and for which Mazin & the team will make the most effort of making the activity the best experience possible.

First let’s set the perspective right. If your idea tropical island vacation is to relaxing on well-groomed beach sipping fancy drinks, or having a massage with ocean view, or have a bar serving you drinks right in the middle of the pool, you should pack up top dollars and head to resort. For us family of four (with two boys age 9 and 13), we wanted to explore the natural wonders of Maldives and at the meantime, see what local life is like. We are so pleased we found this little gem. This is a charming and comfortable lodging on a local island. We had a wonderful time living with locals. Food is delicious. Lodging host was always quick and kind to reply all our questions before the trip. During our stay, our hosts (Isse and Falabey) were always there to help and they went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Maldives water is teeming with life. Our hosts know well every corner of the surrounding water. On our daily excursions with them, we saw countless colorful sea creatures. The highlight of course, was snorkeling with mantas and whale shark. To have those giants gliding right pass in front of us were truly mesmerizing moments. Equally memorable was the cruise at night to see algae glowing along the boat trail and shooting stars streaking through starry sky. The only regret is we have such short time staying at this place. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who would venture out of the packaged vacation deal to see the beauty of Maldives. And once again, we would express our greatest gratitude to our hosts for the fabulous time they gave us.

Mazin and his team were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend to stay here weather you are traveling solo, a couple or even a small group. It’s a great way to visit the real Maldives and stay on a local island and have local food cooked. The room was spacious, bed very comfortable and I personally loved the outdoor bathroom! Although the weather was not ideal for the excursions I could only imagine they would have been amazing. For that I can not wait to return to this gem. We were able to explore the island and felt very safe walking around. This guesthouse is a must if visiting the Maldives!

Our room in the Noovilu suites was clean, had icey air-con, and a unique out door bathroom. We had access to the common area, a short walk away for wifi, tea, coffee and biscuits. Food was authentic homestyle, served at 8am, 1pm and 8pm and was satisfying. What really sets Mazins place apart, is not only the pricing, but unparalleled customer service on the trips he offers. His team of Ishmael, Aziz, Youseff, and the young Chef are a credit to him. My wife liked to walk along the beach picking up shells and didn't want to do any snorkelling and that was fine. I enjoyed the snorkelling, (even if I did get a little sea sick)and watching the guys free dive to get the best shots for us. The highlight on our short trip was the romantic day long 30 minute excursion to picnic island. Just a pristine baby island, with a shelter set up for us, snorkelling before and after lunch. It would be remiss of me, not to mention the island. The global problem of seaborne plastic waste can be quite confronting and interesting to educate yourself on what the Maldivian government, educators and environmental activists are doing about it. The island reveals its many layers as the days go by. It's a local island so you experience life as it really is. Surprisingly there are a number of coffee shops and restaurants, they do not overtly advertise their wares, you need to go in and explore. Here's to the next visit.

Fyi, tis place has closed. However, you’ll be staying in the Noovilu Suites instead. which is a much cooler place i feel.. 🤣 Me & my husband would like to thank Ismail for being an excellent host. He was helpful thruout our stay. Check-in and check out was a breeze. We even managed to catch a fish and I managed to check all on my bucketlist.. so see the planktons right in the middle of the ocean and a sky full of stars. Alhamdulillah thank you for helping us. Hassan was helpful as well..assisting us with what we were confused abt. thank you once again.

Absolutely incredible here; I can’t believe how lucky I was to stumble upon this place. Everything is geared to create a completely bespoke experience for each guest. I’ve never seen such thoughtful hospitality and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to return!

Mazin is very accommodating and helpful as well as Falabe we really had a good time and this is a must experience for those people who would like to do “travel like local vibe”. Thank you again for everything Mazin.

The suite was very nice, clean with great designed. Food was really delicious prepared with love. Mazin is very positive person with the best smile we’ve ever seen! Has a great offers with activities you can do. But... the island is not so clean.... a lot of trashes on the public and bikini beach as well :( if it was cleaned properly that would be perfect island to stay with lots of coffee shops and playgrounds.

Mazin and his team are amazing, Noovilu is perfect if you want to experience local culture and still do all the excursions that the resorts offer at a fraction of the price. Tips: 1) if you do the overnight stay on the island bring a small backpacking mattress if you can fit it in, we slept on the sand and our backs hurt the next day. Still had an amazing time though. 2) be aware of the dress code for women, we did see tourists that didn’t have shoulders covered and were wearing short shorts but it’s just more respectful to the culture if you follow the dress codes since it is a local island. 3) we didn’t exchange any usd for the entire stay, you would probably get better prices if you did exchange for rufia but we were lazy and it all ended up okay. 4) full board is amazing, Mazins older sister is a fabulous cook, we had fresh fish, fried rice, rice, spaghetti, fresh fruit, juice, water, it was great, easy and very affordable. Meal times are at 8am, 1pm and 8pm. 5) if your diving or snorkeling I brought a skin suit so that I was fully covered, didn’t get sunburned at all. 6) we did the overnight stay, spear fishing, whale shark snorkel, and a check dive - total was $870 for 2 people super affordable 7) check in with Mazin to see if he needs anything brought from your country, it can be difficult to get certain things delivered. 8) if your not used to boat rides be prepared that the boat ride to the island may be rough, would recommend Dramamine if you don’t do well on boats. 9) if you do get sick the pharmacy has lots of options available for sale and they are very cheap 10) there is a grocery store right next to the Airbnb that takes cards - Lemon Root Have an amazing time! We are hopeful we can return back soon.

LOVED the hosts!! They are very welcoming, they take time to listen and chat with you and will do everything they can to make you enjoy your stay. We liked the outside bathroom as well as the shared area were we can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good package of activities. The boat trip from Male takes a little while and if the see is a little wild you might get sick (tip: sit at the back of the boat! Second last row are the best: tested and confirmed) but it’s TOTALLY worth the trip and little adventure :-) What we loved mostly was being among the locals in stead of the big resorts <3

I and my husband were on our honeymoon and we wanted to have a small comfortable stay in Maldives. We are avid airbnb travellers so the first option that we thought of while making reservations was airbnb. We came across Noovilu suites and found it to be well within our budget and to our liking. Mazin was quick to respond and was in constant touch till we reached Male. I must have asked him a dozen silly questions but he always had the perfect reply. From Male airport to Mahibadhoo port, he helped at each step. Mazin and his team are very well versed with all the good spots for water activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, whale shark watching etc. They have their speedboat and they will take you anywhere you like and try to give you the best experience. Mazin and Falabeh always accompanied for all water activities and are great guides! We made some beautiful memories in Mahibadhoo. We are vegetarians and the easiest available food is seafood, but they went out of their way and cooked delicious vegetarian food for us. One day they even arranged for tables and chairs at the shore so we could have our time under the moonlight! Also they'll click beautiful pictures of you and you won't even have to ask!! Over all, we loved our stay in Noovilu. It is for people who travel to have experiences and not for Instagram!

This homestay has a sense of design. The shells, coconut shells, hemp ropes, and half-revolving wooden doors all feel like Maldives. The bed was very comfortable. Every meal is made by a big sister, not many varieties, but I like the taste. However, a handsome European guy who stayed at the same time was not used to eating. Every meal was eaten by himself. The landlord helped book a speedboat. Falabe is a handsome guy. He was very enthusiastic. He transported us to the dock, helped us with our luggage, accompanied us to a picnic on an uninhabited island, accompanied us to a glass boat, and brought us sunburn medicine. We bought masks and gave them to us as a gift. This island is more suitable for snorkeling. There is a blue hole near the hotel's doorway with a large area of live corals, which is very beautiful. There are three fish boxes in the deep sea, also known as the marine pasture, where we snorkeled and saw turtles and large swarms of silvery fish. I saw bread starfish and jellyfish in the shallow water of the public bath. There are pieces of crabs on the large rock near the hotel's entrance, and various seabirds fly overhead. Every time a fixed time comes, the mosque will send out music, ... as long as it is not hot in the sun, it is a very pleasant island. We chose to report to Picnic and went to an uninhabited island to eat the fish they shot. That island is also very suitable for snorkeling. I saw sharks and jellyfish. There is a small cluster of live corals near the sea, and there are several clown fishes inside. It is really the same as the picture in the story of the undersea story, Nemo shuttles through the corals. At noon, I had tuna and another big fish without a name. It was delicious. Resident islands have residents living, so environmental sanitation is indeed not as good as hotel islands. It is recommended that the island government start environmental governance as soon as possible. When I came back to the speedboat, I saw a lot of flying fish scared by our speedboat all the way, and some of them could fly dozens of meters. The first time I saw it, I felt very fresh! I have met three foreign friends and they are all friendly.

It's one of the best place to be in if u are looking for budget vacation in Maldives it was like a dream honeymoon for us . Was there for 7 nights but never got bored even the island was very small . As we did some memorable excursions with Hasan Mazin n his boys ( Falabe(Abdul Aziz) , Samey(Sabey), Mohammad Mazin). We did four of their hot favourite excursions and i recommend everyone to do these four excursions for sure if your are Noovilu Suites at Madhibadhoo island. Day 1, We just reached around 1.30 in afternoon n guess what the man himself Mr. Hasan Mazin was there at the harbour for greeting and receiving us. We checked in our rooms guest house is amazing beautifully designed and had many thoughtful touches added by Mr. Mazin. Had our lunch at the in-house resturant which was great very local very homely. Then we relaxed for some time n then went for the walk on the local beach and had a lovely evening. Later in the night we had dinner in the our in-house restaurant which was also very tasty. And we planned for our excursions for day 2. Day2, We had breakfast and left for our first excursion which was Snorkeling Hopping, in which Mazin or his team will take you in their Speed boat at three different spots for doing snorkeling and teach u to how to do it if u are the first timmer and will allow u to do it in their company if you are already aware of it. As we were doing it for the first time and we even didn't know to swim they took us to a place in the ocean which had very shallow water and for the second took us to more deep water and for the third time were thought it is it our fear was gone we were doing it very nicely after that. We saw some beautiful water life in the ocean while doing snorkeling hopping. If you are new to water i suggest the excursions to everyone it will let your water fear go n make u more relaxed and Ocean friendly. We came back from the excursions and did some snorkeling again at the house reef which was fun as it was Friday and many locals were also their enjoying their holidays they were Very warm and friendly people. Day3, We didn't go for any excursions but did went to explore local island with my partner and had some local cuisine in local restaurants and even we went on local bikini beach also call as tourist beach which has covered fencing s that locals can not go on it n going to bikini beach will charge u one dollar per person per day . So you can go n relax in your bikini if u want to as it is not allowed to wear bikini on local(public) beach, but personal choice we found local beach more attractive and beautiful then bikini beach . Both the beach are just 200 meters from the guest house. Mazin has some lovely hammock in front of his guest house surrounded by trees and has beutiful view and cool breeze everytime. Day 4, We went for one of our most favourite excursions it's called " Private Island Overnight Picnic" i must say everyone must try this excursion as its a Dream Come True experience you will be taken to a Private Island we caught fresh fish did barbecue and slept under the stars it was such a experience we can't explain it in words everyone must try this as it is only available with Mazin. Every Honeymooners must definitely try this. We came back next morning after having breakfast at private island. Day 5 , We relaxed we went on beach did some swimming and snorkeling on the house reef snorkeling gears are complimentary from guest house. At dinner we planned for tomorrow's excursion which was scuba diving. Day 6, We had Breakfast and went for scuba diving with Hasan Mazin and Mohammad Mazin it was wonderful experience with them it our first time but we did very well as we had the best master's with us we recorded some amazing videos under water. Day 7 , We went for Whale Shark it was amazing experience and we were lucky enough to see them easily without wasting much of our time waiting for them we did three dives it was something we won't forget being so close to Whale Shark was like a dream. Later in the same route we went for one more excursion call Private Resort visit we went to Holiday Island Resort and Spa which was a beautiful Property we had buffet lunch there had some beers clicked some lovely pictures and came back by evening. We had a great sleep . Day 8 , It was hard for us to leave but with so much amazing n beautifully memories with us we left the island. We want to thank each n every one in Noovilu Suites Family from bottom of our hearts for making our Honeymoon so memorable n beautiful . It was like a home we never felt like guest house. We are missing our friends Mr. Hasan Mazin (The Boss), Falabe(Abdul Aziz), Sabey(Samey), Mohammad Mazin, Mariam, Neera, Mozam, Yanko, Yoman, we are even missing Richie n Kuchie. We are definitely coming back to Madhibadhoo very soon.

You must take a speed boat from Male airport to Maafushi island! It may seem confusing at first but after awhile, you will get the hang of it! As for landmark, remember you are staying around the corner to the entrance of the Maafushi island prison!

Maafushi is a small island around 2 kms radius, so where ever your room is located, it won't make much of a difference. About the Guest house: 1. The room is clean, spacious and located around 10 mins walk from the ferry terminal. 2. The greatest advantage is the kitchen, where we can cook our own stuff. Kitchen has all the essential things for cooking like bread, eggs, butter, rice, oil, etc. even Indian masalas. Food can be a problem for vegans and its costly in Maldives, so it helped us a lot during our stay. 3. However the room we stayed, was not complete sound proof but it wasn't much of a concern for us. About the host: Ahmed is a genuine and nice human being. His responses were very quick even though he is a busy man. He helped us whenever we needed him. He helped us to get a good deal on the transportation to a private island. He also owns a souvenir shop, from where we bought few stuffs at good prices. He even provided pickup and drop from the ferry terminal. Overall a pleasant stay and thanks a lot for hosting us. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

A great place to stay if you're on a budget in the Maldives. Clean spacious rooms with TV air-conditioning and the use of a kitchen. Ahmed is a great host and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome.

The host is super nice, took us to other islands to play, took us to snorkel, invited us to drink, the room is quite big, cheap, and quite clean, next time you have the opportunity to go live longer, live like a local

My stay with Ahmed was great! Own private room with en-suite, very clean + cleaned everyday. He met us at the ferry port and took us to the room which was very nice. Great communication & only 15min walk to the main tourist areas. Great stay!!

Beautiful view, exactly as shown in the picture. Precisely neat and clean. One should definitely opt for the place while in maldives, if looking for a peaceful and quiet place and also want to observe the day to day live of local people. The place gives a home like feel.

Probably the best Airbnb experience I’ve had, and I travel a lot. Katey welcomed me at the airport, and brought me to this great apartment, with nice views and very cozy. He gave me local tips, and texted me everyday to see how I was and if I needed anything. Even picked me up one day to give me a tour around Male by bike, explaining things about the city, before dropping me off at the boat pier to go on a day trip. He definitely went the extra mile, outstanding hospitality. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Maldives, which I highly recommend. Katey was perfect host! He kept in touch with me last 2 weeks before we arrived to Maldives. He has been sending all the information about traveling and reaching the island. The flat is brand new, clean and big enough. The air conditioning works perfectly. The beach is in front of the building. He has all staff for snorkeling for free. There is another public beach close to ferry station. Stay in Villingili not Male! Male is extremely crowded city and there are just few places for swimming. Villingili is local island and it is just 7 mins from Male. The ferry goes every 10 mins to Male and back and costs about 40 Cents. So, if you need to go to Airport or just visit Male, you can easily take a ferry. Some advices for guests! Use Rupee, not USD! The ferry costs 1 USD( 15 MVR) for 2 people. If you pay in MVR, it is just 7 MVR for 2 people. Exchange few USD at airport for Taxi and ferry only. Katey has good exchange rate and he can exchange you dollars. Taxi, Use Avas Ride app at airport or in Male. You can easily get taxi with that app. Prices inside of Male is fixed and it is just 25 MVR.

Villingili is a tranquil alternative to Malé, and quite close. The apartment has a terrific view. Very clean and well equipped. As noted, it is on the third floor, so lots of steps, but then you get the birds eye view. Katey was very helpful and communicative and kindly met me at the airport and showed me the local transport basics. I’ll return next time I’m in the Maldives.

Our stay was just too short and we didn't have enough time to enjoy everything Katey could suggest for us. Male looked so crowded, but this island was so calm and nice. It was so easy to go there, just 7 min ferry and after to get to the airport. The place was very clean and nice with balcony to relax and watch sunset. Katey was very helpful and answered in all our questions, we learned a lot about the island and the culture. Amazing stay! Highly recommend!

The location is fantastic! It locate in a walking distance from everything. It's a very comfy place to stay. The room comes with private bath and shower! It has good breakfast every morning. Don't need to book activities in advance, when you check in, the hotel reception will help you book all activities. Good value. Highly recommended !!!

Fox and 2 of his employees were there to meet me at the ferry terminal! They checked me in and provided lots of local tips! Breakfast every morning was good. Wifi was always working with a good signal. Very close to bikini beach. Would recommend anyone coming to maafushi to stay here! :)

Alaka is hands down the best guest house on Maafushi. Their great hospitality blew us away! I highly recommend going on trips with them, it’s well worth the money (half day tours are $25, full day $35, tours where you can swim with sharks and manta rays are $50). They even give you the snorkeling equipment, food and drinks on a sandbank, and they take incredible pictures of you underwater. If you have a chance, have lunch and dinner here, especially the fish dishes, everything we ate was made with care. The bikini beach is really close by, just 5-10 minutes away. Alaka guys will give you free beach towels! If it’s raining, they give you umbrellas. Don’t forget to take some snorkeling equipment with you, Alaka gladly give them to you as well! All in all, 5/5!

Place is situated at the center of Maafushi, both side you can enjoy beaches. Food is very delicious 😋 and staff is very supportive. Alaka also provide lots of water sports and they will help you to enjoy them most 😊.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The snorkeling excursion was terrific and the prices were great. Mohammed was a great host, we would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Rooms were quite spacious and very clean. There was everything we needed (shampoo, water, etc.). They also provide beach towels. Not right by the beach but it's not far by foot. The staff kindly allowed us to check out late. They also have a lot of excursions and resort trips and will help you book a speedboat.

It was definitely the right choice for us in Maafushi. We enjoyed so much the snorkeling and sandbank day-trip, tasty homemade lunch there and good breakfast too. They were very helpful booking the ferry to go to another island and they pick us up at the harbor when we arrived. They clean the room everyday and have hot water (both things make the difference) and for the best price at the same time. The guesthouse is “far” from the bikini beach, but far means less than 10’ walking so it’s great because you can see the island and the locals. For us is nicest this way. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay by Hafeez and manager Ali's place. We totally enjoyed the hotel and the excursions. And what to say about the meals? Well, it was really first quality. We found a lot of nice places in the Maldives but this one surely deserves the number one place.

Our stay (7 days in total) at Holiday cottage was just amazing. All the staff was very polite, friendly and smiling the whole time. Breakfast was different each day which doesn't happen very often, very tasty indeed.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Cottage. The rooms are very nice and very clean (they are cleaned every day) and the breakfasts and meals are good. The hotel is located within walking distance of the only two beaches on the island ("Bikini Beach") and you have a very good diving club right in front (which we highly recommend!). Upon your arrival a free shuttle is at your disposal to drop you at the hotel from the port. Many activities are available, just pay attention to the seasons (especially to see manta rays). How and where can I start? I'm still sitting at the airport in Male before we start our long journey back to London. We had an amazing week at the Holiday Cottage. We are totally brown and relaxed and If I could I would write up a week here to everyone to value the beauties of life. We landed at Male where they waited for us and arranged a speed boat ride (1 hour ) to the island. When we arrived to the harbour there was amazing turquoise sea and white sand everywhere. They arranged the ride to the bungalows. Fresh cold coconut drink on the table, and amazing lunch waited for us. The cottages are about 10 min walk from the bikini beach what tourists can use without any cover on their swimming suits. The size of the beach is amazing the water is crystal clear and the sand is one of the whitest I've ever saw. There are lots of hammocks between the trees in nice shade, and there are enough normal beach beds to, but you need to arrive early to get those. You can do a lot of different things, just ask the guys. They have a full list. The food is really nice. You can either eat in place or you can try the restaurants on the island. Definitely try the locally grown coco,watermelon,papaya, and other fruits as well. They are really delicious. Thank you again and see you soon......

Great hosts. Closest location to walk to main tourist beach (through papaya farms). Awesome outdoor shower. Great food. Thoddoo has excellent swimming within the protected reef. Some aquatic life and limited coral. Easy enough to get to by speedboat directly from airport (someone will have a sign at arrivals for the cottage). Able to use USD on the island. Mostly Russian (lots of families) and Italian tourists. Locals moderately friendly. Super clean all around. Highly recommend! :)

This island is wonderful, most of its beaches are bikini beach! The best place to stay in ukulhas! This hotel is very beautiful, it has a very nice private beach, having a limited capacity makes the service more than personalized! The entire staff is always pending so that your stay is unique! From the reception at the airport to the farewell greeting! The room has everything you need, safe, beautiful hot water, air, fan, beach towels and shower towels, tea, coffee, water! Good breakfast! You can have lunch and dinner at the hotel and they offer walks to get out of the island! Thanks to all the staff for making our week on this island unforgettable !!!

I had a really good time in Beach Veli! It was absolutely the best accommodation I had during my vacation in Maldives. The boss and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The beautiful beach is right next to this guesthouse, and they also have snorkling gear that you can borrow. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! Everything about this Property is great . Ampu is the guy who handles all the excursions and he helped us a lot . We did manta ray safari and picnic island trip with him. They also had a new year party just in front of the guest house. Host responds to every message that you send. They have a private beach as well .

Very nice owner, very beautiful hotel, location is close to both beaches, and the hotel's Thai food is also delicious! Especially breakfast! Waffles are great! The water activities in the hotel are really cheaper than the hotel I used to stay in. The boss will give extra discounts.

My husband and I spent a 6D5N honeymoon in Ukulhas. The room in Fazeel's SeaLaVie Inn was very clean and comfortable. The room is spacious and they provided many amenities like shampoo, soap, towels, torchlight, safe, and the drinking water is refilled daily. We loved the complimentary breakfast every morning and enjoyed the Maldivian breakfast so much that we ordered it almost every day. The breakfast waffles are very good too. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and the Thai food was delicious. Fazeel, his brother, and the rest of the staff were hospitable and friendly to us. We enjoyed our dolphin cruise, sandbank, and the sunset dinner. Thank you so much for making this trip memorable. :)

Fazeel is a very nice person , he loves hosting people ,Staffs are well behaved and very helpful. The rooms are very nice and clean with nearby beach where you can go anytime. Me and my wife had asked Fazeel to plan a candle night dinner during sunset near beach but due to rain it was interrupted, but Fazeel and his staff were always their trying to give their best to make the moment perfect for us and we loved his arrangements... I would totally recommend his place to anyone who likes a quiet gateway from there daily hectic work schedule. Hopefully we will also visit again.

This place was incredible!!! From the warm welcome we received from Fazeel and his team, to our amazing room that looked out onto a beautiful and peaceful island courtyard, we could not fault this place. Fazeel and his team went above and beyond for us, he even took us out snorkelling so that he could show us the incredible reef that Ukulhas had to offer. It really was a warm Maldivian welcome. The restaurant attached served a great breakfast (highly recommend the traditional Maldivian breakfast if you enjoy tuna). The lovely ladies at the restaurant offered such great service, we didn’t even try the other restaurants on the island. Fazeel’s place is a true gem! The room was tastefully decorated, ac worked well, everything was clean. I really liked small thoughtful details in the common areas. The guest house is very close to the beach, the food was delicious and above all; the personnel was outstanding! I really felt like being in a true guesthouse where guests were treated more like family members rather than “paying clients”. The island itself is a safe and friendly local island. The only concern were mosquitos so prepare your repellent. I can without hesitation very warmly recommend this place to solo travelers as well as couples or families.

I stayed at Maleeh's Hathaa Beach. The place was clean and spacious, and his staff were very hospitable. They made sure that I have all the info I need prior to my stay so getting there and checking in was a breeze. It's a bit of a hike to get to level 3 which is where the reception is, but i reckon someone will happily assist guests go up to the reception if they knew what time they're coming (which they didn't know in my case). I definitely recommend this place!

Maleeh was an excellent communicator. Responded very quickly and kindly :) Highly recommend staying at any of his properties.

this place is so easy to get to from the airport which is a big bonus. there are lots of choices for food just outside the building and a supermarket a few minutes walk away. the only thing I would say about hulehumale beach is it's not well maintained, it's quite dirty with litter and debris and there doesn't seem to be a government clean up scheme. if you come out of the building and turn left, walk past the market for another 8 minutes, there are some lovely places. the restaurant owners actually clean their front areas themselves. in particular is recommend the family room for fresh juices and wholesome food.

The house is very clean and cost-effective, the boss has a serious face, but the person is very polite. Although there is only one service staff, the environment is very clean. After all, it is cost-effective, so only the breakfast can be slightly picky, and I will give other Full score, A +, 100 points, Very goooood!

I highly recommend Milano Sky Inn when visiting the Maldives. The price was great and the room was very clean. The staff were very hospitable, and the breakfast was great. We were able to arrange all boat transfers to and from the airport (the staff met us at the boat dock when we arrived at Maafushi island) plus the staff arranged all of our day trips. We were able to go snorkelling, visit a sandbank and see a couple resorts. The location is great, close to bikini beach and to many restaurants. The only downside is that the sound from the mosque woke us up daily before sunrise (I think this is a common problem on the entire island).

We can definitely recommend you to stay in Milano's place. It is 10 minutes walk to Bikini Beach, staff is nice and helpful, they gave as a snorkeling mask and beach towels, we had tea, coffee, kettle and fridge in the room. The room was big and clean.

Ibrahim was a great host, he made sure our stay was comfortable and memorable. He picked up us from the jetty and dropped us too. He even came back to make sure we don't miss our ferry. His place is small and cozy but what makes the place special is the hospitality by him and his team. If we ever go back to Maafushi his place is the one we are going to book.

Nice accommodation with fine food. It is worth asking after booking to make sure that the accommodation you are booking is dependent on the principal requested.

I am very much to have stayed at Milano Sky Inn. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast quite correct and the attention by the owner very good. And all this at a great price. I would repeat and recommend it.

Good and clean homestay and Ibrahim whom I met at the property was very helpful. Akif (who must be managing this Airbnb online is not very responsive, I have to wait for his replies for many days even when I had already booked the property and to some of my queries he didn't reply at all). This is one aspect they need to look at, otherwise very good property.

Our days at thundi guest house were amazing, the hole team are super super nice and really helpful with everything, being with them has been an amazing experience!!!

We stayed at Thundi for two nights and wish we could've stayed longer! Shifaz and all the staff were wonderful. They were super friendly, had a great sense of humour and really care about their guests. We were picked up at the jetty and given a quick tour of the tiny island before being shown to our rooms. The rooms were immaculate with stunning views out to the ocean. We fell asleep listening to the waves every night. Water is provided in the rooms but you'll probably need to buy a little more from the shops. We made use of the free snorkelling gear and saw an abundance of sea life including a few sharks just meters off the beach in front of the rooms. Food was surprisingly very good, tasty and reasonably priced considering they have to import almost everything! Fulhidhoo itself is a beautiful island to visit. The waters are exquisit and we highly recommend a stay here to anybody who wants to experience a bit more of the local culture but also get that paradise island feel!

Great stay at Thundi Guest House! Shifaz and Arif were both very helpful and hospitable hosts. Fulidhoo is a lovely island and Thundi Guest House is a great home base while visiting. We were lucky to be there for their special New Year's Eve dinner as well, which was a real treat. The Maldivian breakfast is very tasty and I would highly recommend picking that option while visiting. We would definitely recommend staying at Thundi Guest House if planning a trip to Fulidhoo.

Great place in great local island. Just in front of a perfect snorkel spot. Staff very friendly and welcoming, always willing to fulfill my needs. I had a nice room with an amazing bathroom. Totally recommendable!

Island with very good bikini beach. Very few tourists-for the New Year there were only thirty people on the whole island-we crossed each other very little. Corals unfortunately almost all dead, but as I understood it in all Maldives so. But the underwater world is very rich. In the evenings, rays come to the pier and behave like tame dogs, they let themselves be ironed for food and almost vylazyat out of the water. Just do not touch their tail! The owners of gestos are very attentive, we lived in three. Everywhere the conditions are very similar.

Great clean place and so friendly and helpfull staff. We got upgraded to a brand new guesthouse for free. And the guesthouse is really eco friendly and have a good recycling programme going on. Shakira is great! Showed us around the island, helped us how to open a coconut we found, showed us sting rays by the beach at night etc. Will definetly recommend this place. You can only eat at the guesthouse and the price for breakfast is 5$ and lunch/dinner 10$ pr person. There is no ATM on the island so bring enough cash.

We had a great stay here, and especially appreciated the communication we had with our host! Ferry schedules changed due to Ramadan, and Mubaashir contacted us to let us know so we could rearrange our stay to fit with the ferry schedule. Was very appreciative of that. The stay in the Batuta was super organized from start to finish. The rooms were equipped as expected and always clean. Marx provided us with all the useful information, such as transport to Tulusdhoo, in advance and answered questions about the booking and the stay. Arrived on the island, we were surprisingly received by Ibrahim, who led us to the accommodation with a local transport truck. During the whole stay he was our main contact person on site and took care of all our concerns. Arrived at the accommodation, there was a small welcome drink, a small introduction with information about the island and its inhabitants, as well as the possibilities about activities and beaches which you can do from the accommodation and book directly with Ibrahim. No wishes were left unanswered and even when the air conditioning failed one morning, it was repaired the same day! Since the property offers its own kitchen, which was often praised in the reviews, we tested it on the first evening. Mussa is a really very good cook who also makes supposedly simple ingredients into a super delicious dish. That is why we decided to try his culinary art again every evening. If you like fish, you shouldn't miss trying the different fish dishes. We tried all dishes across the board and always met at least our expectations. The portions were also very large, even by German standards. Mussa always tried to clarify the dishes and times with us beforehand, so that at the agreed time we only had to sit down at the table and the food was served immediately. His freshly prepared dishes in the morning, such as omlettes, pancakes and French toast, were also extremely tasty. Most of the service was provided by Kamal. He served us the dishes, poured water and served the fish on the plate. He was very attentive in his work and we had fun at the dinner table together. Together with Mussa the tables were cleared afterwards and Kamal brought us further drinks. He was also very attentive during the day and inquired several times about our well-being. He is also a very gifted soccer player and card player. We didn't notice Imam the first morning because he cleaned our rooms while we were having breakfast. Our rooms were always clean and thoroughly cleaned in the morning and often we only got the great result from his hard work. He also helped the other boys if necessary. Adju took care of all the payments behind the scenes and carefully maintained our bookings and payments. All people who take care of the accommodation and the guests are very friendly and attentive. Ibrahim can possibly get everything for you, but everyone else could also be addressed to our concerns. Everyone speaks good English so there are no problems communicating this way. We would like to thank the entire crew very much for making us feel so comfortable and recommend the accommodation to others. Like other guests we met on site and have stayed here several times, we will consider this property on a new Maldives trip.

All the staff proved to be truly exceptional starting from Marx, very kind they greeted us at the airport and accompanied us to the ferry, making things much easier. Unfortunately, the weather during the Christmas period was not according to expectations (tropical storms, little sun and bad sea). I decided to leave 5 stars because all in all the experience was 5 stars. Obviously, as transpires from the other reviews, the structure does not even come close to 5 stars, an objective rating, perhaps, would be 3 stars. However, the value for money / staff means that this, originally, home of local people, deserves full marks for the reasons I am going to highlight. 1) in the Bikini beach area it is the only one that has decidedly moderate prices. However it depends a lot on what is expected, if you go to the Maldives to be outside it is definitely your place. 2) the poor beauty of the rooms and bathrooms (unpleasant tiles and non-modern sanitary ware) is decidedly compensated by the good quality furniture and the affable, courteous and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the decidedly inhospitable weather meant that the first few days seemed decidedly disastrous. Fortunately the weather has improved slightly transforming the holiday ... and the Batuta. Ibrahim, the manager, is truly ultra helpful and reliable for every need (Information, boats, diving, etc.) and all the staff (Adju, Hamal, Imam and the fantastic cook Mussa) complete the picture. Mussa is really a gifted cook, bring some packs of pasta from Italy if you have the chance because he makes really good sauces that they also make with their pasta. Also ask to have your sponge cake in the morning, also excellent. The excursions are a "must", through Ibrahim or Adju you can book them (it is worth doing all of them: sharks, turtle points, and the two nearby sand banks, especially "infinity"). If you don't mind comfort and design, this modest guesthouse is certainly for you. If you are lucky, not like us, you will stay very little in your room. the island also offers some small amenities, obviously without alchool, and you can explore the other places. I recommend half board because it does not constrain you too much even if the cuisine of Mussa is certainly among the best on the island. The good news is that Batuta will finally be renovated in 2020 and a swimming pool is even planned. If the prices do not go up too much and the staff will remain the same, it is really not to be missed. Happy holiday. Thanks Ibrahim, Adju, Hamal, Imam and Musa.

Very unique, stayed in a lot of places during my travels and this would have to be a first that I have spelt in a capsule that is very comfortable and has everything one needs for a short transit to the islands of the Maldives. We had a wonderful stay here! This is a cosy hotel situated in a quiet location close to the bikini beach (the best I’ve seen so far in Maldives). The room was sparkling clean and there is good internet. What made it really special was the kindness of the owner Mr Ali and the managers Ibrahim and Mohamed. They were really nice and Ibrahim took us on a tour of the island on the first day. Then we could enjoy the underwater wonders of the islands thanks to Mohamed who shared his passion for the sea with us, and even gave us a very nice video. Really really nice people, nice island, nice location on the island. Feridhoo has 3 restaurants, but you can also eat a really good menu right at the guest house, it is delicious! they cook mostly the fish they just catched! The room is very clean with a nice open shower, abd has a really nice court! We definitely would return!

The landlord and his dad are very enthusiastic. Because of my birthday, they also bought cakes from the city and carefully arranged the birthday dinner. I am very touched by the Haichaoqing in this place. We saw the manta dolphins and many sea creatures. Super clean small yard is very chic and worth a visit

As soon as we arrived, Ali, father of Ahmed, waiting for us at the port, took us to the lodge, taking a walk around the island and telling us about the place. To welcome us, he gives us a fresh coconut and cold towels. The best of all is without a doubt, the room, impeccable, clean, and the jewel in the crown is the bathroom, with bare skies. The food was delicious, and the friendliness of the host unsurpassed, very attentive to us, helped us in everything, an experience that I would like to repeat and that I recommend 100%, by far, the best place to sleep in Maldives. Ahmed and Ali, they are great people with a big heart and very hospitable.

Fathina is an excellent host: very fast to answer questions, and very helpful in assisting with our stay. The apartment and bathroom are very clean. The view from the outdoor patio is of the ocean which is only steps away. The air con and ceiling fan keep the room cool. The private semi-outdoor shower is fantastic! Small stores/bodegas are at the corner. Note that the apartment is up four narrow flights of stairs. Neighbors are quiet, but construction is ongoing all over the island, so expect construction noise.

Fathina is sooo kindhearted and helped us a lot, the room is soo beautiful and romantic and a very big bathroom. a very nice experience except it is a little noisy at night and the hot water is not enouth to finish a shower. But i still recommend

The boss is really super good! On the evening of the arrival, I arranged a little brother to help us with our luggage. We lived on the top floor, and the little brother was very hard to help. On the second day on the island of Pisces, because the language communication is not very good, thank the boss and the little brother to help us contact the hotel staff, let us go to the island smoothly! Next time friends come to strongly recommend their home!

We stayed 1 night at Fathina's apartment. She was helpful, answered every question, and gave us some information about the area. The apartment was clean, the aircondition was in operation so we had a great stay!

Place: The place is about a km away from the jetty point and the other side of the island where locals stay. So you will always to walk a km to go the happening side of the island. Check-in : It wasn't smooth check-in. After reaching to the place, the guy at reception behaved very rudely. The host Hassan was running busy and not present however after making us wait for 30 mins, he transferred us to the adjacent hotel Equator Villa which is an upscale hotel. Our stay experience at Equator villa was wonderful. The hospitality of the staffs there was very friendly. PS : My ratings are for Equator Villa stay.

We needed a place to stay for 2 nights between our resort stay and our flight to India and this worked out perfectly. They helped arrange transfer to and from the airport and even came home early to greet us when we arrived. Having a washer and dryer available was a life saver and truly appreciated. We were supposed to be at the Raalhu Lodge but when we arrived we told us that we were welcoming to another place "Wavoe Inn" which where just opened. We were the first client. The hotel, services and all the activities (fishing, resort, diving, snorkling, water sport, barbecue, etc...) were awesome. We enjoyed very much the island. Isse, Shifaz and his family were adorable people. I am very happy to meet them. Hope to see them again. You can book the place for sure.

A great vacation on a local island! To mention immediately: not a luxury like on the tourist islands, but a luxury to be able to get to know the culture, the real life of the Maldives and the ordinary people. The contact with Yoosuf was very pleasant, he answered all questions quickly. The accommodation is very clean, each room has its own bathroom with toilet and has good air conditioning. There is a communal kitchen in the house with a stove, fridge and cooking utensils. Yoosuf also organizes transfers (if desired) to and from the airport. So that you are welcomed at the airport and brought to the island. ATTENTION: Fridays in the Maldives is a holiday, do not make our mistake, and it is best to arrive on Thursday or Saturday, otherwise it is almost impossible to reach the island and you have to stay one night in Male. Yoosuf also organizes it, but there are additional costs. Ahmed and Abbas take care of you on the island. You try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. You can book day packages with 3 meals (traditional Maldivian food is prepared for you, as the island residents do for you) and 2 activities (snorkeling, night fishing, island tour). The island itself is relatively small, but there is a lot to see. The locals are friendly and like to talk to you. Many also stare :) There are no tourist attractions, no souvenir shops and no restaurants. You can't go out great here. We were on a coffee in the Café Ginger Garden and the staff were really cool, very nice and funny. When night fishing, if the prey is not grilled immediately afterwards, you should ask for the fish immediately, otherwise you will no longer see them. In that case, you basically pay to catch other people's dinners themselves. So ask. Abbas takes you to the good places for snorkeling, and Ahmed organized fresh coconuts, papayas and bananas for the good price. Island tour is also great! You visit the coconut plantations and can get to know and try many interesting things. And the jungles are very impressive and beautiful. These people also care about the environment. It is important to mention that the bikini beach is about 20 minutes away. Walk from the property. So if you are looking for something interesting, but not luxurious, and relatively cheap, then you have come to the right place. Thank you Yoosuf, Ahmed and Abbas for a great vacation !!!

I visited Maldives on Airbnb with my child. Yoosuf's guest house on Cassisdu local island was great. Daily fresh and delicious local meals are served every day, and snorkelling, fishing, dolphin excursions and cascading jungle excursions are all without boring package trips. The emerald seas and sunsets of the Maldives are very beautiful. Also, the kindness and service of Ahmed and Abbas is impressive. Yoosuf guest houses are highly recommended for travel to Maldives Local Islands. Experience beautiful, delicious and inspiring island trips day by day. All the villagers of Kashidu Island are friendly and laugh. My family enjoyed an enjoyable 7 night 8 day trip to Maldives.

You only really get to know the Maldives if you travel to a local island, not to one of these hotel islands. Abbas and Ahmed were wonderful hosts.

Ahmed is an amazing host! He makes you feel right at home and offers great insight about the island, as he’s been there for years! He picked me up from the harbor and dropped me off when I left as well as gave me scooter rides all over to save a few minutes walking. He’s the absolute best! The only negative I could think of is that it’s a bit out of the way, as the rest of the island and stores are about a 20 minute walk to the beach, but honestly for the price and hospitality, it’s worth it!

Ahmed is a great host! He was so helpful and really concerned to make my stay pleasant. He took me out snorkeling for free to show me where the coral was. Women should wear a t shirt over their swim suits on the local beach. But the water there is beautiful colors. He helped me with the ferry schedules to the next islands. He knows the area well. The rooms and kitchen at Ahmed’s place face onto a central courtyard where there is also a swimsuit drying line. My room was nice, comfortable bed, lots of shelves and cupboards. I appreciated having plenty of places to put things. It also had a mini fridge which was handy since I was able to prepare fruit in the kitchen. AC is too cold for me. My room had big windows to let in fresh air and stayed cool and comfortable with the fan. The Maldives are expensive so I was pleased to find a good place for a reasonable price. It’s located in the south of Maafushi but it’s a small island so it didn’t matter. Highly recommended!

Ahmed was a very good host, he went to look for us at the ferry when we arrived, always worried about keeping food for breakfast, every day they cleaned the room, they left clean towels and sheets, provided bottles of water every day and never missed Toilet paper, shampoo and shower gel. He was very kind and lent us snorkeling and we bought souvenirs in his shop. We really enjoyed the stay, the walks to the beach, the tours and visiting the island's own reef. thank you Ahmed!

So, on one of the most beautiful islands in the Maldives, I met a super host. Ahmed was very hospitable and kind. With particular care, holding out a helping hand in almost every request of the guests. He answered all my questions and taught how to save on excursions and food. He also shared information about free places for scuba diving. Ahmed has the answer to all the questions. He is definitely the best guy in his business, 100% recommend!

The stay was amazing. He helped so much and was so passionate about making your stay at Maafushi nice. I really liked his place and him! I was learning a lot about Maldives and the locals. I liked his local breakfast and talking with him. He made my holidays to something special and I’m more than happy to had the opportunity to stay here at Maafushi and meet him!

I have used airbnb in many countries and Ahmed is the best host I have ever met. The night before check-in he contacted me with airbnb to determine my arrival time. When he arrived, he met me and my friends at the pier and used a motorcycle to take us to the homestay. There is a small kitchen, which is particularly convenient. Ahmed provides simple ingredients including toast, eggs and fruits. You can make your own simple breakfast in the morning. If you want to save money for lunch or dinner, you can buy the ingredients yourself. There are pots and pans in the kitchen. Pots and various spices. The key is that all of this is free, Ahmed will always pay attention to what is missing and add it in time. He also lent us snorkeling gear for free, so we had a good time going to the bikini beach. The room is cleaned every day, and a bottle of 1L of drinking water is also given away. I put a $ 1 tip in the room every day and he does not accept it. In the early morning when I had to leave, I put 100 yuan in the bedside table in my bedside table. Our thanks. The external environment of this place looks relatively crude, but the interior of the room is clean and clean, and the first floor is not humid, and my friends and I live very comfortably. If you want to say a disadvantage, it may be a little far away from the bikini beach, but it is only a ten-minute walk. After all, it takes only half an hour to walk around the island. SeaLavie Inn is cozy, perfectly set-up place inline with Maldivian Sea. Fazeel along with his co-host from cafe (sorry Forgot her name🙁) ensured we had an awesome stay. While cafe offers authentic Thai delicacies, n Fazeel ensured we experienced every bit of Ukhulas island could offer. Though rain has been a spoil sport, He arranged special snorkelling trip for us so that we didn't miss out on our experience. Rooms are well maintained, clean and has everything needed on beach trip. Thank you once again Fazeel.

SeaLaVie is everything that reviewers have said about it and more, and certainly lives up to its name. The warm hospitality and reception, with a cold fresh coconut to welcome guests, is to be experienced to be believed. The entire Inn is very nicely done, with little touches that remind you that you're in an island resort surrounded by the turquoise sea and basking in glorious sunshine. Fazeel, who manages the place, was very prompt in his communication both before I decided to book with him and after. He was patient and clear in his communication, and gave useful suggestions. The room exceeded expectations with everything one could ask for to have a comfortable, relaxing and quiet escapade. To enjoy the magnificent sea, snorkeling gear from fins, full face mask with snorkel, life jackets, and even water shoes are available for guests to use FOC. The Thai food served at the restaurant is authentic as the chef is from Thailand and so are a few of the serving staff. SeaLaVie is without a doubt the place to stay in Ukulhas if you're looking for an affordable, comfortable and stylish place, and the warm Maldivian hospitality that it offers is simply the icing on the cake. Recommended with two thumbs up!

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Sea La Vie is a gorgeous guest house on Ukulhas. It has swings in the front and the back, and a great island vibe. My room was clean and spacious. The beach is steps from the guest house and is pristinely kept. The sand is white the water is bright blue. Great snorkeling around the island. Fazeel was an incredible host. He took me snorkeling and explained what everything was along the way! Fazeel made me feel welcome and at ease. The Thai restaurant has great food and even catered to my vegan diet! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend! Great value! And beautiful location! Best airbnb experience I’ve had!

The place is really lovely. The chef is really good and cooked us some good local food. Abdullah aka Adam who handles the place is really a awesome guy, he has so much knowledge about the ocean and the Island we spent so much time listening to his experiences and seeing the videos he has of his snorkelling and diving, he was very helpful. I had asked for a surprise for my fiancé which was so beautiful and we both loved the beach dinner. This place is amazing and will go there again the next time and would recommend it to my friends and family who plan to go to Maldives.

Me and my husband we stayed at Yonder Retreat for almost two weeks. We came there very tired from rainy and cold Germany and we needed a calm place- just like Yonder Guesthouse in Bodufolhudhoo Island. Bodufolhudhoo is a peaceful island with friendly community, people live there simple life, you can observe those people, some of them will be interested in you, some of them will be observing you. Respect them. For example don’t wear too short skirts, but feel free at the beach area. People who work at Yonder Retreat are very nice, flexible and creative. Everything was well organized, food and trips (special thanks to Sara). We ate almost every day fresh fish as we wanted. Also tasty food for vegetarians. Ali was very attentive and answered all our questions. Boys who are working there also can solve your problems and can do “everything”. If you have luck, you’ll see how they dance, sing and play drums and maybe you’ll dance together. Snorkeling with manta rays, day at the Picnic island, night fishing, night snorkeling and other activities like resort visiting- everything was a good experience. We would strongly recommend Yonder Retreat to our friends and we would like to come back one day.

From right when you arrive, Yonder Retreat makes you feel like family. Ali, Sarah, Hussain and the team did a fantastic job at making our stay the most comfortable it can be. The excursions were amazing, especially snorkeling with the Manta Rays! It was such a unique experience staying at the local island of Bodufolhudhoo. We definitely feel like we got our full value (and more) at Yonder Retreat. We would love to come back for another stay sometime in the future!

We wanted to experience Maldives as a whole - the fancy resorts and the local Maldivian life. Ali and the Team at Yonder Retreat at Bodufulhudoo were fantastic and helped us see Maldives and local life through different eyes! Fulhudoo is about 2 hrs away from Male on speedboat and they managed the arrival and transfer process from the airport seamlessly (we didn't have a local number) with Haku, our awesome local guide in Male. The rooms are clean, comfortable and ideal ; the food was great too - local dishes made the Maldivian way ! The people are friendly and the village is a peaceful place to relax. The beautiful local beach is couple of minutes away and unlike what it says on the internet - in Fulhudoo, women can wear shorts / dresses in the village comfortably. The team arranged our excursions on time and we enjoyed the private island and the night fishing trips ! The best of course was the house reef - just a couple of meters from the bikini beach, the reef is absolutely gorgeous ! Thank you to the team at Yonder Retreat (Ali, Abdullah, Haku and Sara) for hosting us !

Everything great about this place and will recommend especially if you are going with young children and thinking twice on if you can manage or not. We went with 7 month old and would go again and again. Took care of the baby while eating, while doing activities and even with luggage all the way from Airport to this island. They have helpers coming right to the airport outside the baggage on the way in and out of the country. Staff is awesome. Food is awesome even for vegetarians. Walkable to both sunset beaches and right next to sunrise beach and middle of lot of activities in nearby islands.

We had a fantastic stay at Yonder Retreat. The house reef was the best snorkelling we've ever done. The boys were super helpful & kind. If you're a foodie, I wouldn't recommend getting the half or full board option here as we love our healthy food...and there are other cafes on the island you can eat at. Some really good dives too, we loved Maya Thila!

We a young couple stayed two weeks with the all inclusive package at the Yonder Retreat. Everyone makes different vacationers, we love the insellben, beach, snorkeling, fishing and diving. We were happy with the service, food and the room super! And would recommend it to our family immediately! Hussain was our contact person and organizer, we will miss him with his friendly and helpful way. In the end he was like a friend with whom we could experience everything. I am a passionate fisherman and fishing on the boat has always been an adventure where we have always caught something. The island is also perfect for relaxing on the beach, snorkeling and because the island has a super diving school "Atoll Scuba" it is also very recommendable for divers! Communication in English was very simple and uncomplicated. The food was varied and delicious. It was always taken care of everyone. We love fish and we got that often, and always totally fresh! The room was always clean, very attentively cleaned every day and with a totally comfortable bed. The service from and to the airport was always very easy and pleasant for us. LaDue house is an amazing place to see the Maldives from. Tholusdhoo island is a great experience. The host Nadine and helper Mohamed were always available and helpful to us for any needs. They arranged excursions for us that were a great experience at great prices. The house fit all seven adults very easily and the three bathrooms helped. The kitchen was fully equipped to make breakfast or dinner. I’m planning to come back when I can. My family loved it and so will you

It was a wonderful stay at La Due Thulusdhoo during our family vacation at Maldives in Dec 2019 . Nadine is a warm & thoughtful host. My 11-year old daughter had a lot fun with Nadine’s accompany for snorkeling as I am not good at water activities, my son enjoyed his surfing class. Riding the speed boat, diving in the sea, getting stung by sea urchin , waking on beach in the mornings & evenings , feeding the cats, having smoothie at Delphine’s restaurant …. and Mohamed… we will definitely return again!

We were for a surf trip here. A great space in this house. Easy for 4 people while with 2 bathrooms and 2 big bed rooms amazing. We have seen other places and we had the best one of this island. The air conditions is working fabulous. The open kitchen and patio is very funktional and nice. All what you need is available for cocking. We cooked a lot because we were not so happy about the restaurants in the neighborhood. The most amazing thing was Mohamed. He is helping you with cleaning buying food and extra service. One of this character you meet in your live with an open hart and this wonderful smile on his lips. He is cleaning the house perfect and you should tip him after your staying proper. My son and me we loved the great atmosphere in this house. You can hear the waves in the night. The little jungle in front of the house is a big plus. When you are sitting under the tries and you have the few of the ocean..... What can I say more. Danjela was a perfect host. No question was not answered. She was the cherry of the cake of our staying.

We stayed a week at La Due and everything was just about perfect: the location was great, being right on the beach, and we liked how it wasn't part of a branded franchise or shared with other tourists. It's like having your own space in the Maldives with access to the surfing spots and daily excursions without having to be in the middle of tourist-central the whole time. La Due was spacious, clean and quiet, which is great when you come back from a day out full of activities. There's space outside to leave your surfboards, an outdoor shower to rinse off and bikes to ride into town for groceries. What we liked best about La Due is that you plug right in and get to enjoy a nice Maldives experience that strikes a nice balance between a private, local experience, amenities with convenience and the tourist activities. The hospitality was really great. Daniela, our host, was very helpful and ensured our stay easy and comfortable, from the moment we arrived on the island to very last day. To summarise: we highly recommend both visiting the Maldives and staying at La Due. We had a great week and it will be our first choice again for the next trip.

This was the first time i was going to maldives and the first time with an italian host ! Daniela made us feel like we belong from here, that too from the starting ! Our flight got delayed and we could not take the shared pickup so she arranged a pvt pickup within hours and was really kind to come and pick us up ! Our checkin was amazingly smooth ! She guided us to the best places to eat around the house and was gracious enough to help us show around the island ! She also guided us with the activities that we could do for 3 days of our stay and yes this was not enough she got us a good disount on all the activities that we did inluding the day tour for one of the islands ! The rooms were clean and so was the bathroom, also the kitchen had all the facilities ! She has a fantastic travelling expirience round the world and bcz of that her hospitality was world class ! The morning breakfast was always at our comfort and served hot which was an icing on the cake ! A place advisable for everyone who is coming to maldives must stay with daniela la due ! Thank you for being such amazing host and for such a great place specially the garden in the backyard ! If i my friends or family anyone is coning to maldives this is the first place i will suggest ! :)

Second time here, and second time everything was perfect! Mohamed realy helped us a lot with out with the taxi, and belongings and some advice about city. You might love Maldives for its islands, reefs and beaches, but you would love it more for people like Mohamed and his family!

Mohamed was a wonderful host. Even though our stay was very short I recommend staying at his place because the room was clean and tidy. There was a private bathroom and small balcony that was accessible from the room. Mohamed and his family was welcoming and very polite when we arrived. He also gave us tips on the local ferry back to the airport which was very helpful.

House was difficult to find as street names or numbers aren’t easily displayed. The city it self can be chaotic and busy streets with what seems endless amounts of motorbikes and cars. However locals are super friendly and helpful. Wonderful people. Stay at Mohamed’s place when we got there was just perfect. Room was very clean, it’s comfortable with A little balcony to see the rooftops of the city yet being on the 8th floor you don’t hear the city noise and can sleep well and be rested. WiFi provided and water already in the room was definitely a lovely touch. Next morning we had a flight and Mohamed booked a taxi for us to the airport which took only two minutes to arrive. Journey to airport was just 7minute car journey. Would have helped if we had local currency as driver didn’t have change in US dollars.

Perfect place to stay in Male!

We had a amazing stay at Mohammed's place. The room was very neat and tidy. He always greets us and responds to our questions very quickly. I will stay at Mohammed's place for sure during my future visits to Male.

This was our first trip to Maldives. Check in was easy and comfortable. The place is closeby to the ferry terminal, about 8-10 mins walking and there are many eateries closeby, very conveniently located. The host Mr. Mohammad is a very nice guy. We were welcomed by his adorable family and they made sure we were comfortable. He was very helpful with giving us information about the places to visit in Male and he had also kept a print out of a map of Male and Hulhumale to show us the directions. The place is very clean and comfortable. We stayed at his place for 2 days and on our last night there his family cooked us an authentic home made Maldivian meal since they wanted to make it a special experience for us as we were there on our honeymoon. We were so touched by the wonderful gesture. I highly recommend this place. We are definitely visiting Maldives again and choosing this place. Hats off to Mr. Mohammad and his family.
