  • The Shepard’s hut was perfect for a quick weekend away. The hot tub was definitely the highlight, even in the rain. Cabin warms up very quickly after lighting the log burner. Bring flip flops/sliders for getting to and from the hot tub and toilet. Plough across the road do great food too. Thanks again!

    Ben2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely one night stay here and the hot tub was great, the cooking facilities were perfect and the fairy lights were a great touch! Great communication, would defiantly recommend.

  • I would 100% recommend this place, and even come back again! Myself and 3 friends came to the Rectory Retreat as a get away for my birthday and as a general get away from the city. It was far beyond what we expected and loved every minute. From the moment we got there, Lisa had everything ready for us. She gave us a tour and explained how everything worked. They’re avid recyclers too!! Which was a plus. The hot tub is with an extra cost but split between myself and friends it was virtually nothing. Can’t thank Lisa and Jeremy enough for an amazing place to stay.

    Rachel2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant stay! The cabin exceeded our expectations, the hot tub was gorgeous and we were well looked after. Lisa offered to get the hot tub going for us with wood fire as it takes a couple of hours to get going - perfect for the return from our long walk! It was very comfortable, romantic and cosy. Also, the Plough Inn was great for food and Blenheim Taxis were brilliant if you need a ride!

    Tina2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host, so helpful. Beautiful tranquil space. Perfect for relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of something!

    Adele2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, exactly as described. A nice place to really disconnect. Stars are beautiful at night and the hot tub is a must have!

  • Met by Lisa, who was super nice and explained how everything worked. The hideaway was so cozy and secluded. The hot tub under the stars was amazing as was the log burner and all the fairy lights. This is an unmissable place, truly unique and amazing. Thank you so much

    Johan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back! Couldn’t get better.

    Thomas2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here at the end of February, even though the weather wasn’t ideal (there was a storm this weekend!) we still got full use of the hut and hot tub. If you’re thinking of staying here the tub is a no brainer. It’s a wonderful escape from civilisation and we’re so glad we discovered it for our first Airbnb experience! Thank you to Lisa for meeting us and showing us how to find the hut and use the facilities, made us extremely comfortable staying here! Would highly recommend!

    Jamie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just unbelievable Wish we could have stayed longer

    Chris2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I paid for a night away for my partner for a Christmas present. It was prefect. The location was so quiet and we could see the stars perfectly. I was slightly worried it might be cold but the wood burner kept it extremely toasty and was easy to keep alight! The little touches in the place were so lovely from the fairy lights to the tea lights. Jeremy met us and explained all we needed to know. We paid extra to use the hot tub which was great. Thankfully you can add some cold water as we got in after the pub and it was soooo hot haha! Jeremy recommended The Plough Inn and we are glad we went - the food was amazing and they even catered for me as a vegan. The only thing I’d have changed is I’d have booked to stay longer! Thanks for a fab little spot.

    Isabel2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much to Lisa who was a great hostess. I took my partner as a surprise and when we arrived, Lisa was waiting there, opened the gate and we followed her down a farm lane ... my boyfriend had absolutely no clue what was going on. Then we arrived at The rectory hideaway and he was really pleased! We had an issue with the gas cooker but Lisa fixed it. The bed was really comfortable and the hot tub was just lovely! Such a lovely place, wish we had longer! Thank you for a lovely stay .. I have friends who may visit after seeing our photos!

    Lucy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is a great base to explore the local area. It is situated close to The Thames and we enjoyed some fab dog walks during our stay. John and Anita are lovely hosts

    Emilie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place for a romantic getaway. Clean and comfortable. Good walks from the barn.

    Sarah2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft is an excellent “home from home”. The space felt larger (and loftier) than pictures convey. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Despite having a neighbouring barn in same driveway, we felt tucked away, and didn’t hear a peep from anyone. It is a perfect property for a couple to chill, and our two dogs enjoyed it too. It is a short walk from the Thames Path, which provides a safe meandering walk to Lechlade and The Riverside Inn, which also welcomed our dogs. We would love to visit again.

    Paul2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place, loads of space and so generous with amazing art on the walls, retro and stylish pieces, soft and squashy comfy sofas, and dreamy bed. Outside space is also perfect with huge pots and troughs and seats with a view and place to enjoy the sunset!

  • Just got back from our stay with our dog, unfortunately the fields were flooded so we couldn't enjoy the near by walks, but that is no ones fault, but there are plenty of places to take the dog to nearby in the car. The house was lovely and tidy and the hosts were very helpful especially when helping us was the dog blanket after he was sick in the car. Nice little cottage, perfect for the fiance and I, nice and clean too. Thanks for having us.

  • One of the most beautiful Air BNB's we have ever stayed in. Ben was a fantastic host, a lovely guy and he really goes above and beyond in every element to ensure you have the best stay possible. He was there to meet us when we arrived and gave us a tour around the house and how to use all of the facilities. The house is absolutely stunning and a lot of thought has gone into maintaining the original details of the house but with some modern touches such as the kitchen and bathroom. It was the perfect weekend getaway, I just wish we could have stayed for longer!

  • We had a lovely weekend at Ben's place. It is very tastefully decorated and Ben has thought of everything you could possibly need or want. We enjoyed relaxing in front of the roaring log fire and everyone slept well in the super comfy beds. He was very helpful with lots of local restaurant suggestions for us to pre book. The location is peaceful and perfect for visiting lovely Cotswold villages. We were sorry to leave and would definitely return.

    Hazel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stop looking, you've found the most stylish, warm and perfect 3-couple place in the Cotswolds. We couldn't have felt more stylishly at home in Ben's place - every detail is perfect and Ben is thoughtful and was always on hand with tips and suggestions.

This spacious but cosy apartment had everything we needed to self cater, two lovely big double bedrooms and a couple of attentive (but not intrusive) hosts. Good value for money. Would recommend.

The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • We booked a wonderful 3 night stay and was not disappointed. Claire out host communicated excellently. Beautiful location and stylish and spacious accommodation. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept so well. After long country walks it was fabulous to be able relax in the lounge with a roaring fire. The board games were a wonderful bonus and a fair few hours were spent around the kitchen table in competitive mode. Highly recommend Dunford Barn and will definitely be returning.

  • Lovely property, well equipped, plenty of space and we used all 11 beds. Very clean, plenty of hot water, efficient wood burning stove. Highly recommend.

    Kate2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We all thoroughly enjoyed our short stay (family reunion) at Dunford Barn. It was the perfect ‘home from home’ having been beautifully & tastefully renovated only last year. We found it extremely comfortable, cosy & well-equipped. Claire is a fantastic host & so responsive to any query, no matter how small. We would definitely stay again & strongly recommend it to other visitors as the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Cotswolds.

    Anita2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house was large, well decorated and spotlessly clean! There was more than enough space for a group of 10 adults, and the kitchen was well equipped. Met in person at the house and I felt that we could easily contact Claire if we needed to (although the instructions were very clear so it wasn't needed!) Thanks!

*Dogs: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog(s) and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Introduction Low hedges, acres of flat green fields and an abundance of wildlife – these are the scenes that will greet you as you head towards College Farm Cottage. Situated on the expansive Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, it’s hard to im-agine that you are only a few miles from Burford and Lechlade. As you make your way along the open fence-less lanes, you will almost feel as though you’re driving through the middle of the fields. Once you have arrived at the end of the farm track, you will find a delightful cottage with plenty of character – if you’re visiting in the summer months, you’ll even get to appreciate College Farm Cottage in all of its beautiful Wiste-ria–covered glory. College farm was built in 1771 by Trinity College of the University of Oxford for the use of tenant farmers as a source of additional income for the college. A working farm up until recent years, College Farm is now owned by the Bradwell Grove Estate, home to the nearby Cotswold Wildlife Park that exhibits over 260 different species of ani-mals – on a quiet day you may even be able to hear the lions roaring from the cottage! Although College Farm is no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by mainly arable farmland, all of which is organic. With a strong emphasis on conservation around the estate, there is plenty of wildlife to observe, from ground nesting birds to deer. You only have to step outside of the door at College Farm Cottage and you are right in the heart of unspoilt countryside, with bridle paths and walking routes running alongside the farmyard. Inside, the cottage is a lovely mix of traditional and new. The original flagstone flooring and woodburner add a touch of rustic charm, while there’s a new JVC Smart TV for guest use. Benefitting from a bright and airy feeling throughout, the cottage is decorat-ed in neutral tones, accented by quirky pops of colour and unique pieces of art and furniture. The back door opens out into a garden, while the windows boast views of nothing but green fields and the historic farmyard buildings. If you’re looking for peace, tranquillity and open starry skies, you’ve come to the right place. Despite its rural location, College Farm Cottage is just a 5-10 minute drive from the beautiful market town of Burford, where you will find artisan boutiques, cosy cafés, and interesting pubs. Benefitting from the best of both worlds, College Farm Cottage enjoys a secluded location but is also the perfect location for exploring Burford and the wider Cotswolds. Please see the framed OS map in the sitting room where College Farm sits exactly cen-trally. In just a 5-10 minute drive you will find yourself on the High Street of Burford, a stunning medieval market town with plenty to offer. The excellent Co-operative su-permarket on the High Street stocks all immediate shopping requirements and is open 7am – 10pm every day of the week. There is also a Co-operative supermarket in Lech-lade, a 5-10 minute drive in the opposite direction to Burford, open 8am-8pm every day. There are some great cafés in Burford. Head towards the historic church and you will discover the newly built Warwick Hall and café, ideal for a morning coffee and snacks. Another good spot for a reviving cup of coffee or tea is Lynwood & Co on the High Street, where you can also buy delicious local artisan-made Sourdough bread and of course the famous Huffkins tea shop. If you find yourself parking in the main car park for Burford near the church (free parking) you will cross the mill-race connecting to the charming River Windrush that meanders through the Cotswolds, a lovely spot to feed the ducks and swans! Burford used to be a major coaching town between London and the West Country and was home to 35 coaching inns! The town still retains 13 pubs, of which some favour-ites are The Angel, a very good gastropub, The Highway and The Lamb on Sheep Street. There’s also a great variety of specialist shops to explore – including Maggie White and the fascinating Tolsey Museum. Alternatively, The Victoria in Eastleach, a very pretty Cotswold village nearby, is about an hour walk from the cottage and is a wonderful pub with good food, recommended by Emma and William. Also highly recommended - The Five Alls in Filkins and The Bell in Langford, both excellent pubs. All are popular so booking is essential. Around 5 miles south of the cottage, you will find Lechlade-on-Thames, a small historic town on the Thames, from which London could be reached by boat. With plenty of walks, a thriving market square, pubs, cafes and antique shops, Lechlade is slightly off the beaten tourist track compared to Burford and makes for a great day out. Here you will find a fantastic butcher, Cutler & Bayliss, selling high quality meat, cheese, fresh vegetables and bread as well as another Lynwood & Co café. If you fancy exploring a bit further afield, the beautiful ancient Roman market town of Cirencester is about 10 miles south and also there’s Witney which is an easy 11-mile drive east towards Oxford. Like Cirencester it has a great array of high street shops, larger supermarkets such as M&S, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s, eateries and a modern cinema complex. Also, around 15 miles away is the renowned Daylesford Organic Farm in Kingham, a farm complex that offers a farm shop, restaurant, spa as well as other activities such as farm tours and cooking courses. See the Burford Guidebook for further information.

The Pigsty has been lovingly converted into a double en suite room with TV, internet, tea and coffee. The room opens up onto a sunny, newly paved court yard with outdoor seating for you to enjoy. The private entrance via a locked gate means you can come and go as you please. Located in central Lechlade with the river Thames, open fields, pubs, restaurants and cafes on your door step. It's a vibrant and friendly market town with plenty to do!
Built circa 1805 this property was originally a pigsty and later converted in to the wash house for the cottage built around 1850. Now it's a quirky en suite room with handmade mahogany double glazed doors and windows, under floor heating, stone sink, remote controlled lighting and extractor fan and opens up onto a sunny court yard for you to enjoy. The room itself can be used as living room, bedroom or work space with the fold out futon and table, as illustrated in the photos. Note: due to limited space, toilet has a curtain instead of a door. Pigsty is located about 4 metres from my kitchen/back door
Lechlade a very social and friendly place. The terrace row where the Pigsty is situated is a throw back to 1940s living, with close neighbours and cups of tea over the garden fence. It's charming and you'll certainly live like a local and not a tourist.
  • Absolutely superb.

    Noel2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Isla’s Pigsty is the cutest most comfortable little space you can imagine. We wanted to get out of London to switch off and be in nature. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better location. The Pigsty is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Lechlade-on-Thames, with all amenities you could want in a few min walking distance, and on top of a local walking route that takes you along the Thames across local fields. Isla was super responsive so check-in was a breeze and she was on hand for any tips. Thanks Isla!

There are beautiful gardens at the front and back of the cottage, which primarily comprise of lawns bordered by fruit trees and flower beds. There is a large table in the back garden with seating for eight, a charcoal barbecue, outdoor games for children, and a croquet set.

  • I had high expectations from the lovely pictures and listing, but it was even better in person! There were so many thoughtful touches (bird seeds for spreading, dog snacks, games, lotions, a variety of bath salts, etc.). It truly felt like home, if my home was a beyond charming 500 year-old cottage (rather than a colonial-style home in a 90s suburb). The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I loved using the cute vanity to get ready each morning. The house was well-stocked in every area and surprisingly equipped with modern conveniences (dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, etc.) that blended pretty seamlessly. They did a great job with the design down to the smallest details (antique light switches, faucets and hardware, etc.) it was pretty easy to feel like you had been transported in time. You do need to be a little extra careful on the stairs, especially with kids, but there are decent hand rails and reminders on the wall to take them slowly. We came with two young kids and loved having a really nice playground, a library, lovely walking trails and shops just a short walk away. There is also a coffee shop a couple doors down with amazing brownies (not typically a chocolate fan) and a small farmers market on Wednesdays. Oh, and we really enjoyed lighting the fire at night (especially the first night when all we needed to do was drop a match on their perfectly prepared stack of wood and fire starters, lol). All in all, a wonderful trip. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Location, location, location. The Little Barn is in the heart of Clanfield which has a beautiful bakery and post office, a wonderful traditional country pub with great pub-grub and a hotel with restaurant and outstanding gin pantry! We have immediate access to a wide range of wonderful country footpaths, and we're about a mile from the famous Thames Path. Downton Abbey uses our neighbouring village for their outside scenes, so it's worth a visit.
  • 10 out of 10, we loved our stay. The little barn is very cozy. Mary took care of us and gave fantastic local recommendations.

    Christian2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay just over an hour from London - Mary's gorgeous converted barn is the perfect place for a couple seeking some solitude away from the hustle and bustle. Mary was an incredible host (despite not being in the country, she responded to any message within minutes, organised an easy check in & even baked a cake for our arrival). The location of the property is wonderful - a 2 minute walk from the local pub (fantastic food!), and right on the doorstep of the Cotswolds, where you can get to most towns within a 1/2 hour. Highly recommend !

    Sadie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend tucked up in the cosy barn (even with rainy weather!). Great space, all the amenities you need. We were hoping to get out on a few nature walks but with very rainy weather we weren’t able to, despite the weather we had a very relaxing weekend with the fire heater on and cosied up with some lovely cake made so kindly by Mary. Mary was a lovely host, met us at the door and welcomed us into the barn to show us how everything worked. She pointed out some helpful maps she had left and the guide for the barn which was super helpful. She also left some lovely valentines chocolate, special touches like that made all the difference for us. And the milk in the fridge was very welcome after a long journey there! The barn looks out onto the garden and fields in the distance which made us feel away from the busy-ness of life! It’s a good location to explore some of countryside and the pub really is just a few meters up the road! We were really looking for a weekend away just to relax and take it easy, and that’s exactly what we had. We’re now back feeling very relaxed and well rested! Thanks so much.

  • Stayed for two nights in the barn with my fianceé. It was comfortable, private and larger than expected. Don't go expecting to be able to cook anything fancy, but the basics are all there. WiFi was brilliant, heating was great. Mary's communication was also fantastic. Highly recommended!

  • The little barn is a gem very comfortable and warm....great location a few doors down from the local pub which does great food and is very welcoming. Lots of places of interest to visit within a 30 mins drive and the Thames path is on the doorstep.

This is a very special welcome and airy home located on 2 1/2 acres in a small Cotswold village. The house a perfect country retreat, beautifully presented and stylish with large, spacious rooms. The house is a perfect space for relaxing or entertaining friends, simply nothing but perfection!
The house is the perfect country retreat. The downstairs rooms are all communal which makes the house ideal for entertaining or just 'hanging out'. The house features a large, modern open communal space which includes a double-height reception area (around a large stone fireplace), kitchen. A second reception room which is decorated more traditionally, perfect for evenings with a fire lit and a film on the projector screen. A cozy study off the second reception room includes a fireplace. Five double bedrooms include a large master bedroom and second VIP guest bedroom. Underfloor heating throughout the house with oak floors in the reception areas. This is an excellent holiday cottage in every respect, perfect for a large family or for two or three couples with kids who fancy a home for a 'proper' holiday or equally for a short weekend trip to the Cotswolds. ACCOMODATION Welcoming entrance hall with double-height ceiling. Off the entrance hall is the most wonderful boot room which doubles as a guest loo, so inviting you might just decide to spend your holiday in the loo! Main reception room is a gorgeous space decorated in muted colours around a large stone fireplace. This room has large windows with lots of light and is open to the dining space and kitchen, offering modern use of the large space. The large dining table, which seats up to 18 people, lives between the main reception area and the open kitchen. True to its name, Garden House is filled with lots of plants and flowers, and the dining space doubles as a conservatory, opening onto a large pond filled with koi! The kitchen is a delightful space which makes meal-preparation a fun group activity. The best part is a traditional wood oven perfect for pizza night! The master bedroom is on the second floor above the communal space, with an extra-large king bed and private terrace, bathroom with large shower and separate traditional bathtub, and large walk-in closet. The second reception room is decorated more traditionally, with a lovely wood burning stove and movie projector and screen which drop down for the ceiling. Connected to SKY and AppleTV, this room is perfect for a film after a lovely evening meal. The study is a cozy space decorated with loads of books and comfy furniture. Light the fire and tuck into your book! The first floor features two further en suite bedrooms. One in particular is large, I call it the VIP guest bedroom, and is perfect for a second couple. Frankly you may well find the VIP guest bedroom, with its queen four poster bed, even more inviting than the master bedroom. The VIP guest bathroom is large, with a walk-in shower and separate traditional bathtub. The third guest bedroom on this level, with a double bed, is a lovely room, with an en suite bathroom. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are in the loft, sharing a private bathroom off the landing. Each with a double bed, these bedrooms are not as special as the others but is perfect for a couple of kids, single adults or couples that are not fussy.
Location. Little Faringdon is a charming Cotswold village (20 cottages only), with the village church across the road from the house. Little Faringdon has lots of fun and interesting characters, though is a quiet village and Garden House benefits from lots of privacy. The village is located just 3 miles outside of Lechlade and 10 miles from Burford, both of which have lots of shops. The house is 5 miles from the Cotswolds Wildlife Park which kids of all ages love. Pubs. There are several wonderful pubs locally, and in particular I would recommend the Plough in Kelmscott, the Five Alls in Filkins, The Bell in Langford and the Swan in Southrop. The Ox Barn at Thyme Manor in Southrop is an excellent restaurant and bar which uses seasonal ingredients locally sourced (warning: expect London prices). All recommendations are within a 5 minute drive from Garden House and with wonderful food and atmosphere! Advance reservations are strongly recommended on weekends. Provisions. Ocado will deliver to the house, although I encourage guests to shop locally in nearby Lechlade where there are grocery stores (Londis and Co-op), an excellent butcher (Cutler & Bayliss), and a knowledgable wine merchant (Vin-Est). Nearby Burford also has a wonderful selection of stores for provisions. Shopping locally supports our community and is a part of the pleasure of being in the countryside.
  • Jeff's beautiful home was perfect for our family celebration. We had a fantastic stay, feeling very cosy inside with a storm raging against the windows! Loved the pizza oven and open fire. You won't be disappointed!

  • A truly wonderful place to stay. We stayed with extended family for my mother’s 70th birthday and it was perfect. Great family meals and relaxing by the many fireplaces. Jeff’s tips for the area were very good - smoked eel from Upton Smokery was excellent!

    Jenny2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A magical, memorable, magnificent weekend away with family and friends for my mother's 80th birthday. It was terrific to be able to have the (once-in-a-lifetime for us all, I would imagine!) opportunity to stay in a place as stunning as this. The adults loved the house and fabulous, interesting art and decorations, the kids loved the chickens (we got quite a decent haul of eggs!) and the projector tv. Thank you Jeff for choosing to AirBnb'ing your home like this, it was an experience we will never forget!

    Georgina2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Jeff’s place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks even better than in the pictures. The property is in an excellent location (car recommended) and has all the amenities you could possibly require. Jeff’s area-specific recommendations were amazing. Would highly recommend the property and definitely hope to stay there again soon!

    Oliver2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful and full of character inside. We felt like we were treasured friends rather than paying guests. The house was full of home comforts and fascinating objects to look at. Jeff was very generous at providing lots of different types of teas, coffees, jams etc and we felt rather honoured that he entrusted his home to us. Shirley the housekeeper welcomed us on arrival, showed us around the house and explained how certain things worked eg the projector, heating, wifi. I highly recommend a visit and would certainly like to go back there.

    Tracey2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is probably the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! Everywhere you look is perfection and the amenities are fantastic! This is the perfect place for almost any occasion where you would like it to be both special and memorable. Excellent communication with Jeff and Shirley. We had such a relaxing stay and truly hope we can visit again in the future! Thanks Jeff.

There is an electric cooker and four ring electric hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, slimline dishwasher, and a kettle, toaster and NutriBullet; Utility room/cloakroom: Contains a washing machine, toilet and a wash basin; Snug: A small office area, with a desk, chair, telephone and an additional fridge. When the extra bed is in use there is not much floor space available in the bedroom; Shower room: Contains a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. Doors from the conservatory lead into the large, mature back garden, with planted borders, fruit trees and lawn. There is a table with an umbrella and seating for five, plus a charcoal barbecue during the warmer months of the year. At the front of the cottage is a gravel driveway, with parking for two cars.
  • Nice cottage in an ideal location for exploring the Cotswolds.

The Granary is part of The Great Barns at Macaroni Farm which were built in the 1700's. Macaroni Farm is a family run, organic farm situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Guests staying here can enjoy the many footpaths, and walk across fields to the historic village of Eastleach. The Granary is a beautifully authentic barn conversion which retains the feel of the original grain store it once was, with exposed beams, stone and stable dividers upstairs.
The ground floor consists of a large, stone floored open plan living room/kitchen, with electric wood burner. The entrance hall is spacious with a WC under the stairs, that leads up to the bathroom, twin room , and master bedroom. All beds are comfortable Loaf beds. The master bedroom has a super king size bed and its' own WC and basin. Guests would need to walk through the twin to get to the master room, which could also be used as a dressing room for couples who wished to stay.
The historic village of Eastleach is a short walk across the fields from The Granary which also boasts the very popular 'Queen Victoria' pub. We are on the edge of the Coln Valley famous for its' beautiful walks. There are 5 wonderful pubs within a 10 minute radius of the farm, while the villages of Bibury, Burford, Fairford, Lechlade and Cirencester are close by and easy to explore from us. Fairford and Lechlade both have a 'Lynwoods' café which are infamous for their delicious coffee, sourdough and breakfasts.
  • A beautifully appointed barn conversion. A really special place to stay.

  • Very comfortable stay with our toddler. Lovely place to stay. Modern and spacious. Liza was very accomodating and great at responding to messages. She kindly left us some milk, eggs and crossaints to start off our stay. Beds were very comfortable. Thanks for a lovely little break.

  • The Granary is an absolute gem. My friends and I had an amazingly peaceful time at the cottage for our get away. It is very quiet but also only a few minutes drive away from the classic charming villages of Cotswolds with good pubs around, offers beautiful walks and Liza the host was so quick to respond (we didn’t have the bin liners), you would never feel too far away. The place is spacious, tastefully decorated and sparkling clean. And the beds are super comfortable with the amazing down duvets that makes you feel like you’re floating in the clouds. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

  • Incredible stay at The Granary. It’s the perfect location for a weekend getaway in the country with beautiful walks, pubs and the English countryside right on its doorstep. Liza was so helpful at recommending local attractions and her attention to detail in the house is amazing. We will definitely be coming back!!

  • Wow, the Cotswolds are amazing, its absolutely stunning here. It is beautiful English Countryside in the forest. It was exactly what I was hoping to see. Beautiful home in a beautiful location, near cute medieval villages, and even palaces not too far away. We went as a family, and spent a day shopping in near by Burford, and Bourton on the Water, and visiting Blenheim Palace. The home is neat and well equipped, with oodles of space. Its styled well and lit well through out, with very good black out curtains on the sleeping floor. Bathrooms a plenty (such an awesome luxury.) We only spent 2 nights at The Granary but we would've happily have stayed for 2 weeks or more. There was so much to see and do in the area. The home has excellent wifi, and a washing machine that also can dry. The only small negative is its under a flight path, planes fly by quite frequently but do eventually stop overnight. I would recommend staying here to anyone. Its an absolutely amazing Airbnb, and worth every penny. I loved it.

  • Celia has a lovely house in a charming village convenient to Oxford and wonderfully charming villages and towns. She'll help you find great places to eat and visit, including writing out a great tour of Oxford (which she tailors to your interests). She makes a scrumptious breakfast every morning and has a fire going to relax by on cold evenings. I had a lovely stay and hated to leave. Thanks for sharing your home, and your sweet dogs, with me during my visit.

  • Celia has a ton of good info on the area, it was a delight to stay at her lovely countryside home.

  • I was very happy to find Celia’s place and she was a lovely host. I will be back for sure to explore the walks next time as I was on a flying visit on this occasion. You couldn’t fault Celia’s approach to hospitality and her house was even prettier than in the pictures. Until next time!

  • Wow! Amazing stay, such a lovely home and Celia is so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again 5*

    Stefan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very old house in a wonderful location. It shows its age but Celia, the hostess, is marvelous. Don’t expect modern plumbing and the shower was dodgy for me but I had a nice bath instead. The breakfast I had was five star; would have cost 30£ in a London hotel. I would happily return and hope I have the chance someday.

    David And Betsy2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The highlight of my UK trip without doubt is staying with Celia. Her local knowledge and tips were valued and always on the money, the house has a marvellous history, the dogs were delightful, her culinary skills are to die for. Just the perfect base to use for my daily walks along the Thames path. I’ll miss it, the lovely village and hope to return one day.

  • This is a gorgeous cottage in a fabulous location. So good with a dog to be able to walk straight from the cottage on lovely river walks. We walked twice to Quenington via different routes . Everything works really well and the kitchen is particularly good. We cooked a huge complex brunch and had all the pans and rings we needed! Bedrooms are lovely with great views and very comfy beds. The bathroom is great with a really powerful shower. And of course the hot tub which was all ready for us. We went to The Bull on the first night we were there which was nice and comfy but the food was really awful. The Indian takeaway is excellent and The Keepers Arms in Quenington is great.

    Frances2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage with all the amenities you would want. Location is great with walks and town nearby. Considering Storm Dennis was in full flow throughout the weekend we made the most of all that Fairford had to offer and even had a couple of rainy hot tub sessions with the kids! Highly recommend 👍🏼

Recently renovated and new to AirBNB in 2018! This lovely little cottage is situated in the heart of Lechlade-on-Thames, a small Cotswold market town full of antique shops, busy coffee shops and other local independent high street stops. Lechlade is the highest navigational point on The River Thames. The river is a short walk away, with pubs along it and lovely circular walks right from the doorstep.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one king and one double, a stylish bathroom with roll-top bath and power shower, a sitting room with log burner, kitchen and sun room with dining table. The sun-room leads onto a small private sunny courtyard garden with a bbq and seating area. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, side chair and coffee table. There is a large TV in the lounge equipped with a Free View box for a wide selection of channels. As seen in the photographs, the lounge benefits from a number of original features such as log burner, beams and exposed stone work. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, a new fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. The kitchen then leads into the summer room with table and bench seating for eating. There are double doors opening onto a small patio, which is paved and catches the afternoon sun. A barbeque, garden table and chairs are provided for your enjoyment. Each bedroom has been decorated in lovely Farrow & Ball colours to ensure a peaceful, relaxing feel with crisp white linen. The first floor bedroom is large, with exposed beams, window looking to the front and fitted cupboards and drawers for storage. The top floor bedroom is in the eves of the house, with exposed beams and drawers for storage. This bedroom is accessible by steep stairs. The bathroom is also located on the first floor. As seen from the photographs, the bathroom has been beautifully renovated with roll top bath, power shower and a lovely large period sink.
Lechlade is a small attractive riverside town on the edge of the Cotswolds. Lechlade gets its name from the River Leach which joins the Thames just east of the town. From the earliest days, it was an ideal location for a settlement as the rivers were a source of food and an easy way to travel. Today, the population of Lechlade is just over 3100. There is a healthy tourist trade, particularly in the summer when the Thames is busy with cruisers, narrowboats and small boats. There is good fishing in the local rivers and lakes, country walks in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, and various nature reserves in the area. The town is a good staging-post for visitors to the Cotswolds and the historic towns of Oxford and Cirencester.
  • Beautiful cosy cottage right in the heart of lechlade. Rachel had thought of every single amenity possible and we had such a great stay. Lots of cute shops nearby. We also were left a bottle of wine, some leaflets and tips about walks in the area which was a very thoughtful touch. Beds very comfortable and everything was sparkling clean. Thoroughly recommend!

    Nekisha2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Me, my husband daughter and our little Pom stayed at Rachel’s cottage in Lechlade for three nights, we had such a lovely weekend. The cottage is so cosy and in a great location right along the high street in walking distance from all the shops, pubs and restaurants. We used the information in one of the books Rachel kindly has left to go on lots of lovely walks all in which were accessible distance straight from the house. The cottage was lovely and clean and on arrival Rachel had kindly left a bottle of wine for us, which we thought was very thoughtful. I would highly recommend a stay at Rachel’s cottage and Lechlade and all the surrounding areas are beautiful and well worth a visit. Thanks Rachel for a great stay. 😌

The bottle of wine was a lovely touch enjoyed in front of the fire, just perfect. Thank you Rachel! The location was great for easy access to Oxford and the very pretty Cotswold villages. We particularly liked being able to walk out the front door and very quickly being in countryside for wonderful walks by the river followed by scrumptious Coffee and cake in the nearby Cafes. A great mix for a weekend getaway, would definitely recommend and will be returning hopefully very soon

CONTACT KACEY RELOCATION FOR HEAVILY DISCOUNTED KEY WORKER RATES This fully SELF CONTAINED, beautiful Grade II listed 300 year old cottage; ONLY 20 minutes from THE GREAT WESTERN HOSPITAL! Although it has a cosy feel, it can accommodate 6 people so ideal for those needing to isolate alone to protect vulnerable family members, families needing accommodation or key workers needing to protect family but still needing the mental support of living with colleagues.
We are here during this difficult time to specifically support: - Key Workers - People whose homes are currently unavailable to stay in - Those people unable to travel back to their country of residence due to restrictions - People needing to self-isolate to keep vulnerable family members safe - Those unable to live in their primary residence Other properties are available and speaking with Kacey Relocation directly is the best way to ascertain how we can help you fully. Just 20 minutes from the Great Western Hospital! The cottage has 3 separate bedroom areas which can either be set up as: 2 super king size beds and 1 or 2 single beds Or 6 single beds Set over three floors, the cottage is brimming with original features, from the flag stone floor to the old bedroom floorboards believed to be from a ship, its hard not to fall in love. Because of the very typical cottage stair cases, the house may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or small children, however we leave this decision to you. Due to the age of the cottage, it is a cool and relaxing space in the summer, yet warm and snug in the winter - especially with the working log fireplace in the lounge (the house is fully centrally heated also). We provide the first basket of logs, after this they can be purchased additionally. On the ground floor, you have a large sitting room with flag stone flooring and log fire for relaxing, we have also added the ability for up to 6 people to sit and have a lovely meal together too. From here, you lead into the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower over bath. Leading from the kitchen, you have access to the typical cottage garden (with side access for pets / bikes). On the first floor, is a front facing bedroom with super king size bed (or two single beds to accommodate those working away from home) and built in wardrobes along with the open plan second bedroom with a lovely day bed (which can either be a single bed to accommodate one or two twin beds for two) overlooking the beautiful village gardens, this leads up to the top floor where there is a large bedroom with another super king size bed (again can be two single beds to accommodate sharers). We happily accept dogs, however have a 2 dog maximum policy due to the cottage lay out and garden size. There is a £10 charge per dog for their holiday. Should you require the king size beds to be split into two single beds, please notify us upon booking - this carries a £10 surcharge but we are more than happy to accommodate.
  • We had a lovely time in Lechlade and exploring locally - Had some very minor issues which were sorted efficiently with great communication. Will come again!

  • Fabulous cottage, comfortable beds , good quality linen, lovely soft towels, great location close to all local amenities, great value for money

    Julie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely, if not too short break. Lovely cottage near small town of Lechlade with fab views and all the comforts we needed. The cottage is warm and cosy and the fire place was a bonus. Kyley was a lovely and attentive host. She responded promptly and very accommodating, especially when we were initially delayed. Kyley thank you.

    Elton2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the cottage - it was a lovely cosy space and in a great location. A lot of the other reviews cover some of the practicalities (you need to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the other ones - this wasn’t a problem for us as we are all close friends!) but it’s a really lovely cottage with all the quirks of an old but wonderful building. The location is excellent - Lechlade is lovely and we had a long walk on Saturday exploring the area. Would definitely recommend to anyone - a wonderful weekend in the Cotswolds!

    Annie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family would recommend both the accomodation as well as the location. We enjoyed Lechlade and it’s culinary delights- particularly the Artisan pizza place as well as the Indian restaurant. It’s also a good spot to visit other areas within the Cotswolds.

  • Amazing host. Helped me find the at the very last moment

    Hammad2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely cottage - very cosy, very clean, and in a great location. Kyley's an excellent host, who was very quick to respond when we had a bit of a problem with the gas meter. Highly recommend it!

    Charlotte2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at this lovely cottage with two other couples for 3 nights and we had a really great time! One of our friends arrived first and the self-check-in process was incredibly easy and actually really handy as we had the flexibility to arrive at whatever time (after the earliest check-in time) and not have to worry about getting there to meet the host (as lovely as that would’ve been, we’re sure!) The cottage is located in a great spot as there are plenty of amenities about 5 min walk away (including a large Londis, great cafés / tearooms and pubs) but the area isn’t overly crowded and loud so you definitely feel like it’s a nice little getaway despite being situated on a somewhat active road. The cottage itself is so incredibly charming and is truly an authentic style cottage, with wonky floors / ceilings but it is very well kept and was also very clean - just perfectly cozy for a weekend getaway! Big clean towels were provided for all six of us and I have to note that the shower is excellent and is quite a powerful shower! The living room is super cosy with a lush fireplace that we used as well to keep warm. The heating was also working perfectly if we still felt cold so that was never a problem. The two bedrooms have huge beds, and all beds provided were very comfy! Slightly off topic but for a cottage, it has plenty of socket space too! Very handy to have. Just some things to note: As we travelled as a six, we had a couple on the middle floor which is more of an open-plan space which Kyley and the other hosts have done their best job at making feel compact (if you close the two bedroom doors and put up the room divider to cover the bed area it can feel closed off) however, it may not be enough for some if you’re looking for more privacy. To accommodate for a couple, there are two beds that get put together to make a double. The sound also does carry through so you can hear conversations happening in the room above and next door quite clearly. This wasn’t a problem for us as we’re all very close friends and we had nothing to hide, haha but again, if one prefers more privacy, this is something to note. The bathroom is downstairs and there is only one bathroom. Again, as a group of six you just need to make sure you decide to take turns on when guests shower but also, if you’re in the top room and need to go to the bathroom and there are people in the middle floor, you’ll need to liaise with each other how to go about that without interrupting or bothering each other. Same with the room next door (less disruptive but still) Again, this wasn’t a huge problem for us at all but thought it would be worth noting. We cooked every meal in the kitchen (with the exception of one lunch) and we had lots of utensils to use! The kitchen is definitely kitted out to make homemade meals which was really handy and we had plenty of cleaning products too. The fridge is small (again, an fyi) so be mindful about how much you need to refrigerate during your stay. As the weather was quite chilly, we left white wine / Prosecco / juice outside which chilled easily enough! Also the freezer is excellent and spacious but is outside in the shed so not necessarily super easy access. Overall, Kyley was super communicative as a host and we really loved staying at this cottage! we even had a little personalised board with a welcome message which was so lovely! We look forward to checking out their other cottage in Oxfordshire for our next trip away. Thank you again :)

Planters Studio is a delightful countryside retreat, its 1st floor galleried bedroom & bathroom has an exceptionally comfortable cast iron 4-poster double bed within an oak framed roof - certainly romantic, light and airy. Downstairs is a modern fully equipped kitchen, eating and sitting area including a sofa bed. A Welcome Pack is provided. The Studio has its own front door, patio garden & BBQ, with off road parking. A cot is available on request. Dogs/pets are welcome - charge £5/night/pet.
Guests regularly comment in our guest book that the Studio is comfortable, very well furnished and equipped. The Studio is private and, only if needed, we are near bye to help in any way. The Studio is in a 'Golden Triangle' of rolling Cotswold, largely organic, farmland & countryside. Footpaths, from the Studio, flow directly cross-country into gorgeous villages of Cotswold stone and narrow country lanes or minor roads lead further afield for trips by car to pretty country towns and villages.
This part of the Cotswolds we love particularly because it remains very largely working organic farmland rather than a recognised Cotswold destination - like Burford. The near bye villages without exception are all very attractive, most have a pub that serves food from good to restaurant standard. There is a network of footpaths linking the villages. We are happy to recommend our current favourite restaurants and other places or activities of interest.
  • Highly recommend this diamond of a place to stay . It is a true hidden gem, which is highly recommended. All the touches of home and great style !!

  • Dougy's and Jackie's studio (much bigger than you would think) was perfect for a relaxed base in the Cotswolds. From the birds feeding just outside the door to the well equipped kitchen, meaning you could easily eat in and out. My travelling partner said the four poster bed was one of the best nights sleeps she has had. All in all, a little piece of paradise just 90 mins from London!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Dougie & Jackie’s studio apartment. It had everything we wanted and more. Great location, just a short drive away from lots of local villages! We enjoyed all of the suggestions that we’re given to us- they did not disappoint! A great little get away!

    Melanie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect for long walks and visits to the surrounding towns and villages. The studio itself has everything you need and more. Whilst we only stayed for 2 nights, we had a fabulous time in the Cotswolds. Dougy and Jackie are very kind and good hosts. Everything you need is included - basics in the fridge for a nice breakfast the following morning, books and guides to help guide you around and a lovely presented studio, with a great close view of the bird table outside your window - oh and a very comfy bed! Thanks Dougy and Jackie and hope to see you both and chutney in the future again.

  • Dougy, Jackie and Chutneys place is absolutely fantastic to have a peaceful get-away. It had great facilities to make our own food. The breakfast selection was a lovely touch and they were full of suggestions on where to go and eat. It was clean and tidy. And the location was great for the surrounding villages. Can't recommend enough.

Lark Rise III is a 50 foot narrowboat offered as static accommodation moored in the quiet surroundings of Lechlade Marina*. She boasts free parking on site, views of the river, and a multi-fuel stove. Lechlade borders Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire making it an excellent choice to explore all three counties. Shops, pubs, restaurants, and supermarkets are within walking distance, and walks, cycle routes, fishing and boating are on the doorstep. A perfect getaway to suit many tastes.
Although built in the 1980’s, Lark Rise III displays all the charm of an old narrowboat including handcrafted furnishings and items decorated with traditional canal art. This small yet cosy space is ideal for a couples’ getaway. South East facing, ensures that the boat gets lots of light during the day, and being centrally heated is a good choice for a quiet retreat all year round*. She is offered as static narrowboat accommodation for up to 3 people. Living/Dining area The living area is in the bow of the boat (the entrance to the boat) It has a large sofa bed (for a third person) and a multi-fuel stove to keep you warm and toasty in wintertime. The stove also serves two radiators, one in the galley and the other in the bedroom, so the boat stays warm throughout. We supply sufficient wood for the duration of your stay, and enough coal to keep the stove in for each night of your stay**. We give you full instructions on how to use it the stove. The dining area is adjacent to the galley and contains a folding leaf table that can seat up to 3 people. A table cloth is also provided along with drinks coasters. The table is also useful for working at or to play some of our board games that are provided. The galley The galley is in the centre of the boat and is furnished with a gas oven and grill with a four ring gas hob. There is a small square sink with drainer. The galley contains work surfaces and cupboards. There is one cupboard free for you to place food items along with an undercounter fridge with a small freezer section at the top. The galley comes equipped with: • Frying pan • Saucepans • Glass tumblers, beer glasses & pewter tankards • Cutlery • Cooking utensils • Electric kettle and hob kettle • Toaster • Mugs • Melamine dinner plates, side plates and bowls • Baking trays & roasting tin • Hand towel & tea towel The Shower room Next to the bedroom is a small shower room. This has recently been renovated and has a basic shower with shower curtain and also has a chemical cassette toilet on board (this is cleaned and sanitised by us at the end of your stay, or at intervals if you are staying more than a few days). The following items are provided for you: • Hand soap • hair and body wash • toilet rolls • bath towels, hand towels and flannels. You can also have the option to access standard power showers and toilets in the marina’s shower rooms. We would need a £30 deposit for this option payable on arrival that will be returned to you on the safe return of the keys at the end of your stay. The Bedroom The cabin style bedroom has a 4 foot small double bed and is located in the stern of the boat. The room has windows either side, one looking over the marina and the other over the grass seating area outside. It has a small wardrobe with shelf and hanging space for 3 people people. There is also a hair dryer kept inside the wardrobe. There is also storage under the bed for your luggage bags. Outdoor space In addition to the boat we also have outdoor spaces both have views across the Thames and over the rest of the marina. The first is a small seating area on the bow of the boat, very useful in the summer months to sit and drink coffee. Off the boat there is a grass area. In the summer we provide a table and chairs for you to eat al fresco or to watch the sunset with your favourite tipple. We also have outdoor games, such as Pétanque, giant dominos and quoits. There is always plenty of wildlife around too, and we regularly see geese, swans, and kingfishers, just to name a few. If you are looking for a quiet romantic getaway with evenings snuggled up in front of the fire, or a unique stay with good friends, or just as a base to explore the countryside we may just be what you are looking for. * Potential for noise: Lechlade Music Festival is held every year over the last bank holiday in May. The festival is held in the fields opposite the boat. The music can be quite loud and can be heard on the marina. Please bear this in mind when booking. Lechlade, as the crow flies, is also very close to the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) held in Fairford in mid July. You may relish the thought of watching the air displays overhead, but again they can be noisy. We suggest that if you are considering booking with us around those times, and you would like a quiet stay, that you contact us to find out the exact dates for those events. **Extra coal may be purchased from us, see the house rules for details.
Lechlade is a lovely Cotswold stone market town that has a great community feel to it. We have plenty of things to see and do for everyone within Lechlade and the surrounding area. If you love the water, then there are plenty of activities in and around the area from boats, to river walks. Why not walk down to St John's lock and watch the boats coming up or downstream. Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties are steeped in history, and we are close to some wonderful churches, historic houses and monuments. The Roman town of Cirencester, the city of Oxford, and Cheltenham Spa are within 30 miles of the marina. In addition, there are many other old Cotswold towns and villages to visit. If you are an avid Christmas market goer, then there are several within reach from Lechlade. The Christmas markets at Cirencester, Cheltenham, Gloucester Quays, Oxford, and Blenheim Palace are all within a 1 hour driving distance from Lechlade. Bath Christmas market is slightly further afield at 1hr 30 minutes, it is quite a large market and well worth the visit as a day trip. In December many places in the Cotswolds have an evening of celebrations with a Christmas lights turn on, including Lechlade. See the 'Christmas in Lechlade' guidebook for more details about staying on our boat during the festive season.. Earlier in the year we are ideally placed for both the Lechlade Music Festival and Troutfest, the IAT Fairford Air Tattoo and slightly further afield, Cheltenham Festival and the New Years Day races also at Cheltenham. Later in the year it is not far to the Music and Fireworks held at the Defence Academy Shrivenham, we are close to Fairford and Faringdon fireworks displays.
  • Sarah & Martin's narrowboat is a picturesque, cosy, and comfortable place to stay. Highly recommended, thanks to you both for your outstanding hospitality! Dan & Beth

  • Amazing experience. It was our first time staying on the boat and it exceeded our expectations. The boat is in a great location in the heart of a lovely village. Lots of nice pubs nearby and beautiful walks. Sarah and Martin are superb hosts. They made sure we had everything we need and more. The boat is very cosy and even better in real life than in photos. Will definitely come back again!

    Anton2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • A truly unique and wonderful stay, the boat was really cosy and warm even in Feb! Loved the decoration which made the boat even more lovely, it was also very clean which I am sure is not easy to do when on a boat! Plenty of storage space in the kitchen and bedroom. The location is great, only 2 mins walk into town where there are nice pubs and shops, also lots of great walking routes around the area. Martin is a great host and met us with wellies as it was very muddy! Thanks for the lovely welcome pack and a great stay!

    Clodagh2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had an absolute blast during our stay on the LarkRise III. The weather was really really wet so the area did flood but to be honest, we had a pretty fun time with it. We went to stay as a way of experiencing narrow boat life as we are thinking of living on a boat ourselves, and after our experience we think we might go for it! Martin and Sarah are wonderful hosts. They were both super helpful and responsive, they even lent me a pair of much needed wellies without me even needing to ask! Martin was very lovely and gave us lots of tips regarding local walks and what narrow boat living was actually like. He also saved me from sinking in the mud and disappearing forever! The boat itself is wonderful. Very cozy and homey thanks to all the personal touches such as the scented oil burning on the stove and the handmade sun catchers in the windows. It was very clean and well presented and Martin did a superb job of showing us around. All in all, we both loved it and would definitely go back for another visit. The boat is lovely, but Martin and Sarah made it extra special by being such wonderful hosts.

  • We had a great time staying on the narrow boat despite storm Ciara's best attempts. The boat is great and it's just as nice as we were imagining..the stove fire on the boat was such a nice touch and we had somewhere good to eat out both nights..we'd go again!

    Marguerite2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was the first time on a narrow boat it's very cozy and small on space and this adds to the magic of the stay ,great hosts, great boat, and a great time away

  • Martin and Sarah were wonderful hosts and the little narrow boat was comfortable and pleasant. I would recommend them to anyone!!

    Kathryn2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Sarah and Martin are super hosts which along with their boat is airbnb at its very best. We are so lucky that places like this are on the market. Absolutely fabulous help provided during difficult weather conditions. A really lovely, cosy, quaint, full of charm and character place that makes a trip to the Cotswolds extra special. Feels like a historic cottage but floating on the water. Just so relaxing sitting on the sofa at night by the lovely warm wood burner admiring the interesting nautical ornaments that decorate the boat. Just a short stroll up the road for everything you need (groceries, cafes, pubs, nice antique shops etc). So sad for us that we live in Australia as it will be a while before we could visit again. This place is a keeper. Helen & John
