Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and satellite TV (Astra). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

This lovely cottage is located a few meters from Lake Vänern and has a sandy beach, wood-fired sauna and a jetty with a wood-fired hot tub for 5 people. Perfect even for winter swimming! The view out over the lake is amazing! The cottage is 42 km v with 2 sleeping lofts, living room with sofa bed, TV, dining area, kitchenette, fridge/freezer, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, toilet, shower and washing machine. Large glass doors can be opened out to the terrace which has a gas grill, outdoor furniture and sun chairs. This is a quiet, nature-laden accommodation 15 km outside Lidköping.

Sheets and bath towels are available to borrow for SEK 100/person. Bed linen + bath towel = SEK 100/person. The apartment is located very centrally in a separate farmhouse and consists of 1 room, kitchen and shower/wc divided of 43 sqm. In the bedroom, there is a shareable double bed, wardrobe, sofa group with TV. In the kitchen there is a sink, stove, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, as well as other equipment. One bed is in the kitchen. In addition, there are two foldable tourist beds and one travel bed for toddlers. Freezer available in a storage room next door.

Guest cottage 35 m2, near E18. Simple accommodation with two rooms and a kitchen. Two beds plus a sofa bed in one bedroom and a bunk bed in the other. Toilet and shower. Close to residential building. For rent by the night or by the week. The nearest grocery store is located in Skattkärr, Karlstad or Kristinehamn. There are, however, basic products available at the service station, OKQ8, in Väse. They are open until 23.00 on weekdays and until 22.00 during the weekend. They also have a restaurant. Inside Väse you will find Räven Bistro, pizzeria and restaurant.

Possibility to rent wood-fired sauna at an extra cost. The cottage is 40 sqm + the loft. Not so big but nice! Happy if the cottage is left tidy, clean and tidy! Welcome!
