Enter through the basement entrance into a kitchenette, includes several appliances, shelving and table. Close the curtains to your private queen bed. Close to I-68, and FSU, not too far from GAP. Also in the basement is a private half bath, washer, dryer, and NOW a standing shower! Your private room also host a closet, dresser and desk.
Frostburg has charm. My space is simple. A place to rest along a trip (by car or bike). No real bells or whistles, but clean, safe and out of the elements. I am super happy to now have a shower in the basement for guest to have all their needs on one level.
Small town, close to main street for community events, and far enough away to be peaceful.

  • Heather is a very nice host! She seemed very genuine and was as accommodating as could be. The space is definitely under construction, but is very spacious, has nice amenities, and can shape up to be quite a nice guest suite! Had a good stay!

    Dylan2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Heather’s to treat ourselves to a non-camping night while doing a multi-day GAP ride. We lucked out and found her place last minute in a pinch when we couldn’t find anything in Cumberland. Heather and her family are warm and welcoming and even offered us pie! While not luxurious, or in the realm of a “treat yo self” stay, it definitely served its purpose with providing a warm place to stay with beds and a hot shower! We were super happy to have stayed here and would do it again to break up the camping streak when bike packing. I’d say our least favorite part was getting OFF the trail and back. Frostburg is much hillier than we hoped after a long day of riding.

  • EXCELLENT! Claudia was a fantastic host who went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. It was like staying with a relative who was genuinely happy to see me! Lots of room for families, with plenty of things to see and do.

    Eric2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay! My kids didn’t want to leave! Our host went above and beyond what I expected and that made our trip extra special. I did have a hard time finding the place initially, but once we communicated on the directions, it was actually very easy. I would definitely recommend staying here and I will be coming back myself.

    Mia2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia was an absolute delite! Easily on of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Her home is clean and beautiful, truly a slice of heaven.

    Hannah2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ms. Wimer provided us with everything we needed and more. Local to the area, she even offered us a ride to show us all the nearby activities and the spots for us to fish! We originally came to stay at her place to fish at Deep Creek Lake, we ended up loving the area more than the touristy lake. And that was all because Ms. Wimer took the time to show us around and provide us the knowledge we needed to explore the West Virginia area. Her place was clean, her company was enjoyed, and her knowledge was appreciated. No five star hotel could replicate the experience Ms. Wimer provided us.

    Kristopher2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Beautiful location. Would highly recommend.

    Allison2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I had another lovely stay, this time with my new wife. I'll repeat what I've said before: she truly treats you like a guest and not just a customer. My wife and I will be visiting this area somewhat frequently since she has family in the area, and we definitely plan to stay here whenever we come (unless it's booked).

Cozy, dog friendly, four bedroom cabin nestled on a quiet cove on Deep Creek Lake; excellent location for water sports, fishing, and watching the sunsets from the private dock. Upper floor - with two twin beds & a futon - is a great hang-out space for kids. Fire pit (and firewood) & hammock for your use!
This cabin is truly an 'all weather' cabin. Rain or shine, you can enjoy the lake view from the deck or breakfast room. Each room has a closet or dressers for storage. • We had a great stay! Laura was very responsive beforehand and very accommodating. The house was perfect for our family and we would definitely stay again.

    Evan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our family had a wonderful time staying at Laura’s. Excellent communication and Laura went above and beyond to help us feel at home. The home sits by the water and the street and neighborhood is quiet. We would love to stay here again.

    Audrey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Laura’s place is very clean and provides all the basic necessities. My friends and I rented it for the weekend. You won’t be disappointed if you rent this cabin. You can view the lake from the deck. Beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.

    Connie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Laura’s place. The home is huge and private, lakefront, with ample space outside. Aside from the beautiful home, Laura’s hospitality was beyond what I’ve experienced at most other Air BnB’s. Overall, the whole experience was better than we’d imagined, and you can’t beat the price in this area.

We were there to ski at Wisp- easy 15 minute drive. Would be perfect lakefront location in summer. Laura was easy to reach. Hope to be back again!

Gorgeous 2 story Custom Built Log Cabin in a private setting. Guests have complete privacy downstairs and private entrance and exit with 2 bedrooms, full bathroom, a breakfast bar, coffee, dvd collection and games for entertainment. About 40 mintues from historic Winchester. Come enjoy the tranquility of the country.
1500 sq ft downstairs with patio and seperate entrance. Complete privacy. Peaceful and tranquil country setting. Safe and secure.
We just recently moved here from Maine to be closer to family. We love the seclusion of the mountains, and all the amazing wildlife we see every day, yet we are still close enough to Winchester VA (about 40 mintues) for a little burst of city life.
  • Big apartment in the countryside. Nice touch is the foosball table. WiFi is slow.

    Olga2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s accommodation was cosy and welcoming. She really took care of us during our stay and her hospitality is exceptional. She served us breakfast daily and also made sure we had snacks in our place the whole time. Overall the place was really clean with a separate access and the neighborhood was homy. There are a few places to explore in and around. More importantly if you are looking for a vacation away from all the hustle and bustle this place should fit the bill perfectly!

Cabin B is situated on a secluded road amid a private, wooded and beautiful setting. Abrams Creek is near many extraordinary recreational sites, but is also its own destination. You are never far from our wild, whitewater stream that runs through a majestic hemlock forest. In some places, the stream is a constant source of energy and playfulness; in other places, it is peaceful and calming, inviting you to soak in its beauty. The forest contains a vast array of plants and wildlife.
Cabin B is a rustic camping cabin; it has electricity, but no plumbing. It has a microwave, a small refrigerator, a propane tabletop stove that uses the (approximately) 1 lb bottles, and a full-size propane grill (uses 20 lb tanks). We offer tank rentals, including propane, for $5 per day.   The cabins are fully furnished with beds, chairs, table, and other necessary furnishings, but our guests supply their own pillows, blankets, sheets, towels, pots, pans, plates and tableware. There are bunk beds and a full-sized bed on the main floor, a twin mattress in one loft and two twin mattresses in the other loft. There are portapotties and a showerhouse nearby, as well as sources of potable drinking water.   If you want less rustic accommodations, we have those as well, at very affordable prices.
We are located on 20 acres of hemlock forest and bordered by a wild whitewater stream. The surrounding land is all uninhabited forest. There is a small town 3 miles away. We are located within 30-45 minutes of many major recreational areas, including Blackwater Falls, Swallow Falls, Dolly Sods Wilderness, the Youghiogheny River, several ski resorts, and Deep Creek Lake.
  • We had a great stay in Cabin B. The property is as described and the area is wooded and beautiful. We enjoyed the fire outside our cabin. The cabin heater made the place cozy and we were comfortable sleeping at night. We will definately be back.

  • Place was great, very beautiful campground and adorable cabin.

    Ashton2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED staying here!!! We came up for my partner's birthday and had rented a cabin we knew didn't have electric but thought it had some type of heating element and Michael not only called to confirm that detail but helped us with getting a cabin more fitting to our needs! The space could have fit many more people and we were so happy there was a fire pit as well as a grill space outside. We will DEFINITELY be back in the summer time because the grounds were beautiful and the streams / swimming holes looked very fun <3

We took some tips from the guest book and went to see glass blowing and cheese being made, which were very unique! My husband LOVED meeting Sully and almost wanted to take him home with us! The cottage was super clean and well organized and the perfect amount of space for two

This is a full apartment. It is on the second floor. So I don’t recommend it if you don’t like steps. It’s cozy and clean. You have access to a large yard, grill, and private parking. Very close to I68, Frostburg State University, the Frostburg Community Pool, Main Street, and the Rail Trail.
    Quiet residential neighborhood

Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Only a 5 minute walk to the GAP trail. Once you are on the GAP, it is only another 7 minute walk to downtown and C&O. Only a few minutes from I68 Easy access for bikers and hikers if you do not mind the uphill. (FYI, the 1/4 mile walk is a steep uphill form the GAP trail to the house)
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, a/c, and is on the second floor. There is a possibility of the bathroom being shared with other guests, depending on if bedroom 2 is booked. We, the hosts, live and the house and will be using the shared spaces also. Guest may also use the shared space described below in the "Guest Access" section.

Nestled on 10 acres near the summit of Big Savage Mountain is our two room cabin. Warm summer days and cool evenings make for a great vacation spot. Just one mile from downtown and the Allegheny Highlands Trail, your retreat is just 3 minutes from dining, biking, hiking, swimming, and live music. Fall brings beautiful foliage and winter plenty of snow. There is something for fans of all seasons. We are only 5 minutes from Frostburg State University.

  • Hey this is a very cool space. It’s very cozy, spacious, and perfect for a couple or small family. It’s kid friendly and just overall a nice place to stay. I’ve read other reviews and here’s what I can confirm or deny: The pool table does slightly lean to the middle but doesn’t hinder a decent game from being played. There’s was only one pool stick but we had fun. The TV is an older model and doesn’t have HDMI inputs. There is a VHS/DVD player and the DirecTV was great. We watched movies and football which was spot on. Bathroom is a small bathroom with a standard stand up shower. I’m 6’0” 215 and felt slightly cramped but my fiancé is 5’4” and had plenty space. The lighting in the bathroom is a bit low but works. Bed felt more like a full size bed but worked for us. The floor heating cricks and cracks all night so if you’re a sensitive sleeper that might be a thing but we adjusted. Ceiling crocks and cracks a bit too but I think it’s all from the heating/HVAC system. Stanton is like 10 miles/15 minutes from most of the Deep Creek activities but still close to a ton of options. Overall this is the nitpicking stuff, the space is great. Bev is a great host and we’d definitely stay there again.

Don’t let COVID-19 keep you from enjoying the outdoors. Probably the safest place to be. Great, easy-to-get-to remote camp site with yurt located at Flying Squirrel Ranch & Farm. Plenty of seclusion. Short walk from on-site farm distillery, fishing pond. Room to hike or just chill. Soft amenities. Eco-friendly outdoor hot shower and loo. BioLite Grill and one burner propane stove. Towels and linen, soap, provided.
This private camp site is on the hill above Flying Squirrel Ranch & Farm Distillery - the host property. The accommodation is a minimally furnished tent with full bed, linen, towels, bathing soap and shampoo. Stainless steel outdoor grill. It's completely hidden in a clearing on the hill in the middle of the forest not far from the barn Different times of the year bring different songbirds and other wildlife. A small camp fire is allowed with wood available to tote back to the site from the Ranch. Want something a little more refined? Check out a rustic getaway at the distillery https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/19909646?location=rada%20wv%20distillery
You'll be staying in the Potomac Highlands in Hampshire County WV. Views of Appalachia and valley. Area has a long history of moonshiners, and union and confederate soldier occupation. Scenic train ride runs seasonally from Romney to Petersburg.
  • We had such a great time in this space. Absolutely recommend! I wanted a camping space with an extra bit of flare but didn’t want to sacrifice the experience. And this place was exactly what I wanted :)

    Galilea2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing. Stephen is so nice to talk to and very generous. The space is totally secluded and beautiful. The tent is spacious, clean, and cozy. Definitely check out the distillery

    Harry2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen was quick to communicate, very friendly and thought of everything you could need while camping. The views and spirit were great too!

    Amanda2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen was a wonderful host! The property was beautiful and had everything we needed to camp and a few extras! The tasting at the distillery was a lot of fun and Stephen was so kind to give my husband and I a small bottle since we were there celebrating our anniversary. Would highly recommend and we plan on going back!

    Jessica2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Flying Squirrel Ranch and Farm is like the bed and breakfast of camping. Stephen is the most thoughtful, gracious host. There are so many thoughtful little touches, from the tea and mugs in the yurt, to the already prepared fire just waiting fo you to light. The surroundings are beautiful, ammenities comforting and every little detail thought of. Truly, the best part of the trip was the host, Stephen. He was kind and thoughtful, driving us and our over packed bags up and down the hill, because out little car definitely couldn't make it, giving us a tasting of all of his craft spirits (which we enjoyed and bought plenty to bring home), and just making us feel at home in his home. We will 100% be back and bring our family with us. P.S. There are no words to explain how amazing showering outside, under the stars is. Trust me, it alone is worth the trip!

    Amber2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome experience! Comfy private beautiful camp site. Outdoor shower was the unexpected star of the site. It was fun talking to Stephen about his distillery and trying out what he makes. The property has amazing views and fun places to explore. We can't wait to go back. So glad we discovered it.

    Andrew2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen was such a welcoming and genuine host. The campsite was a beautiful oasis with a hot/cold outdoor shower (my favorite part), a little kitchen area (with a hot plate, tea kettle, oven, and utensils), and picnic table. The tent had such an earthy/comfortable style and was very cozy. It was nice being in there at night right in front of the fire. Our favorite part was the tasting that he gave us of his homemade gin, vodka, bourbon, etc. it was amazing and such a unique experience!!!! Thanks Stephen for making our first airbnb experience a magical one! The only part of the trip that was unexpected was that my little honda civic could barely make it up the hill, but you just need to give it gas right when coming in :)

    Katelin2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The listing is exactly as described! Perfect for campers who want a few special touches! Hot outdoor shower was lovely, cooking utensils were provided and the tent was comfortable. Great place to sleep under the stars!

Very secluded area. 5 miles from restaurant and dollar general stores. AWD a plus in the winter. Short drive to Rocky Gap, Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, Dan's Mountain State Park, and Frostburg State University.
This cozy cottage is located in a nice area off the main road. The view is amazing and spotting the wildlife is so special. Relaxing on the deck and listening to nature in the evening can sooth the soul after a busy day.
  • Diane and Paul were absolutely amazing host. Very welcoming and friendly. I spent the holidays a Thanksgiving and Christmas in Maryland away from my family. They invited me to spend those holidays with them and their family. I felt so welcomed and so much at ease. It feels like I have known them a lifetime. I know I have family now in Maryland that will look out for me if I ever return that way again. This was my first Airbnb experience and they have definitely set the bar for everyone else going forward.

    Toni2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Paul's place was sparkling clean and super cute! Diane was very responsive from the moment we booked until we checked out. She arranged for coffee and muffins on our arrival. Loved the morning fall views and will definitely return next time!

Entire separate private master suite at Deep Creek Lake, with private entrance- on unique 17 acre property at south-eastern tip of the lake. Easy 10 minute walk to the water and beautiful open neighborhood area, picnic tables, boat docks. Enjoy our canoe and kayak! Plenty of parking for any vehicles, trailers, RVs, boats welcome. 20 minute drive along the lake to get to Wisp Resort. Location is on an emergency snow route that is always cleared. 10 mins to Arrowhead 24hr Market/Grocery
This home was originally built in 1901! This portion is an addition but you will find a unique layout with wood walls that keeps us puzzled! Warm and inviting, you’ll never forget your stay here.
This area of Deep Creek Lake is quiet and fairly removed from the tourist feel. Only one neighbor visible, far enough away that they don’t care about noise at all so feel free to howl at the moon or play loud music! The house is only 10 minutes’ walk to the water or 10 mins to drive to Arrowhead Market (24 hr grocery store) for any supplies, or a few bars and restaurants. 12 mins to the lake’s public boat ramp, 20 min drive along the lake to Wisp resort.
  • This place is amazing! Drew, Karis and Kevin are some of the nicest people we have met and they were excellent hosts. We really appreciated the hospitality and their flexibility to get us booked quickly when our travel plans changed at the last minute. The trip was very relaxing and the location is perfect for a getaway at the lake. The space is extremely clean and spacious. We definitely plan to stay again any time we're visiting Deep Creek in the future.

  • This suite was perfect for a long weekend in Deep Creek! The location was close to hiking trails and restaurants and their property has a large fenced in yard with space to hang out and let my dog run. Drew and Kevin (and their dog Lupo!) were super responsive and hospitable. I’ll definitely be back!

  • This place exceeded all expectations! The kitschy style and spacious floor plan (the photos don't do it justice - the bedroom is huge) made for a great stay. The hosts were awesome and really made us feel like we were visiting friends. We will certainly be back! Oh, and there is a Nintendo 64. Enough said.

  • If you’re looking for a great place near Deep Creek this is it. The property was gorgeous, the space was so unique and quirky, and we loved the amenities. It was the perfect space for us to spend our anniversary weekend and we look forward to coming back with our dog in tow. Thanks Kevin and Lupo, and Drew for sharing your space with us! We had an absolutely amazing time and can’t recommend this spot enough!

  • My husband and I spent 5 days in this charming cabin and everything was amazing! The owners - Drew and Kevin - made everything to guarantee that we could have a very pleasant experience. The place is really beautiful and comfortable. Drew sent us some great tips on places to visit and eat. His brother Kevin was the best host and his dog Lupo also helped us to feel like home! Everything was perfect! Thank you so much, guys! We loved our days at the Deep Creek area! Looking forward to come back!

  • This is an amazing place to stay at. I’m huge on cleanliness and hospitality. Neither of those were an issue during my stay. Ms. Pam is a great and super friendly hostess. I felt right at home. Privacy and security was not an issue, which I find very important in today’s times. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who visits and needs a place to stay while in Cumberland.

Complete your day with a dinner at one of the local restaurants, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Grill Steak House, Todd's Smokin' Bar-B-Q, and Patrick's Pub.
  • This secluded cabin located within a short drive to the GAP and C&O bike trails was great for a weekend getaway. We made it work for 4 adults (2 couples) with one couple sleeping in the loft, but a loft is a loft, so make sure you’re ok with that. For the price, we were. For just a couple or a family, it would work even better. Communication with the host was easy and prompt.

    Robert2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a private getaway for some rest and relaxation, look no further! The cabin was perfectly clean and everything was exactly as described. My husband is a wounded veteran and we appreciate that the property owners host hunts for veterans. We look forward to staying again in the future!

    Vicki2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time and it truly was a peaceful getaway. Everything we needed was super close and it still felt so private with such a beautiful view! Felt like our own home away from home. 🖤 It's clean but you are in a cabin in the woods so there is still some rustic aspect to it. All in all, great sweet place and I love the purpose behind it all.

    Sheila2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Very good view. Fairly urban.

    Neal2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little private get away. Perfect for 2! Feels like youhave your own mountain but still only 2 mins away from anything you need. Dave and Paulette were very responsive to our questions. They own a bagel and coffee shop in town called Holy Grounds. They even left us a coupon for free bagels! Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. We are at Rio Grands and Texas Grillhouse and visited the 1812 Brewery. It was pretty cold this weekend but the baseboard electric heat kept the cabin toasty warm. There is no wifi but our Verizon connection was perfect the whole stay. If you take a shower, you might need to let it run for a few mins to get steady water flow but after that it was fine. Great views from the porch. Wish it had been clearer as there was a meteor shower and it's so dark there that it would have been a perfect location to view from. All in all, a great stay and a great value. We'd definitley stay again. Thanks Dave and Paulette!!

    Mike2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! Beautiful view and many things to do around the area. Definitely going back.

    Amber2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Hidden gem of absolute beauty. Great views right from the front porch. Host was very accommodating!

    Kristy2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place truly is secluded, you can walk around outside naked if so desired with very little chance of being seen. The views are breathtaking, it was a true joy sipping coffee in the morning in the porch and just enjoying the mountain views. And there are the occasional wildlife that visit you, like the deer that passed by the area. Despite how private it is, it is remarkably close to conveniences. Literally 5 min from walmart and restaurants and various shopping. Since we forgot to pack some things, being able to shop for food and other necessities close-by was very nice. I and my girlfriend definitely recommend this place! We hope to come back in the future!

This unique apartment is located above Clatter Cafe, in the heart of the downtown area and less than 1/2 mile from Frostburg State University. With 15' tall ceilings and plenty of comfy furnishings, the space feels open yet welcoming . Living room has cozy, leather couches and a bar area from which to enjoy the 100" projector screen that's connected to an excellent sound system. The kitchen has everything needed to stay in and prepare meals. There's a small table where you can eat or work.
  • A really cool location and really good coffee... cute town, cute space (cuter than photos capture!)-- and the hosts were very responsive and kind. Expect a clean, cozy room upon arrival!!!

  • My go to spot for frostburg lodging, very comfortable and cool space, right above a great coffee shop.. comfortable bed and sleeping arrangement

  • Lesley's place is located at the heart of town. It's big, clean, and the cafe downstairs is great. On top of that, Lesley's hospitality was unparalleled. She went well above and beyond to help me get settled. I would definitely stay here again!

    Ismael2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Clatter House was amazing to stay in. My stay was short but I found myself not wanting to leave! Me and my friend found ourselves really enjoying the projector, we binged movies while it was raining outside and the overall ambiance and comfortable furniture made it even more enjoyable. The Clatter Cafe was also amazing, I wish I could’ve tried everything on the menu since I was received was so amazingly prepare. I couldn’t have picked a better spot to visit my friend.

  • Didn’t realized it’s above the Clatter coffee shop until I got there. Easy parking, plenty of space, and fun decorating. Would return to stay again!

    Nick2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lesley was absolutely amazing, I had some special check-in/check-out needs because the trip was not only last minute, but I was only staying for one night and traveling to the apartment during rush hour. The self check-in meant I was able to make it there for a Friday evening event, and check-in very late so I could go directly to my event. Self check-in instructions were super clear and easy to understand. When I eventually did get into the space I immediately wished I could stay longer! It is super cute and eclectic. I love the art all over the walls and I felt like every time I looked I saw a new piece. Everything was very clean and well looked after. You are in a great location - a block from main street, not far from the university, and directly above a coffee shop with great food. My friend who drove/dropped me off at the place loved the space too and said next time he comes to Frostburg he would prefer staying here over staying at his parent's house.

This breathtaking 1890 Victorian Mansion, originally built for US Senator Wellington, is located on Washington Street, the stunningly beautiful historic mansion street of Cumberland. Located only a short walk from the pedestrian mall of downtown, the C&O tow path and GAP trails, and the Historic railroad. Close to everything, yet very serene. This cozy, retro apartment is the perfect place to stay when exploring the city, stopping on the trails, or enjoying the outdoor offerings of the area.
This apartment is a taste of America's gilded era (1890s when the home itself was built) and America's golden age (1950s when the apartment within the home was constructed). This home was commissioned and originally owned by a U.S. senator and president of many companies. The house really shows the kind of care and detail that you would expect from the best of the best in terms of craftsmanship, architecture and design in the late 1800's. The Apartment is a step back in time, with many original details from not only the 1890s such as original stained glass transom, but also many original details from the 1950s such as a classic 1950s kitchen complete with time appropriate vintage dining furniture and decor items. The Apartment is cozy, unique and funky. The main bedroom is spacious and features a Full bed along with a writing desk. The second bedroom is very small, with lovely windows overlooking the grounds and a Futon. We have a "Pack And Play" and a small selection children's toys available to families who may want to utilize them. The apartment comes with a few board games (including "All About Cumberland" from the 1970s), and some books on local history. The apartment does show some wear and tear from it's age and it's original condition.
The street this house is located on (Washington Street) is potentially one of the most beautiful and architecturally inspiring and diverse in the entire world. This is the mansion street build in the late 1800's and early 1900's. At this time, Cumberland was a very important city in the U.S.A. Walking from this house to the beautiful historic downtown only takes a couple minutes, but you will wish it was longer, because it is such a stunning walk. This house is located in the heart of Cumberland, yet is still quiet and serene. Only a short walk from the pedestrian mall of downtown, the C&O tow path and GAP trails, the Western Maryland Historic railroad, The C&O Canal and Canal Place. 10 minute drive from Rocky Gap Lake State Park. Close to I-68 for convenient access to Deep Creek Lake, Wisp, Swallow Falls State Park, Spruce Artisan Forest, and many more great destinations.
  • Hidden gem of Cumberland! Communication was fast and the location is beautiful! The apartment is very stylish and a MUST for anyone traveling through the city. Sparkling clean and safe. Can't recommend it enough.

Minutes from Wisp Ski Resort & Deep Creek Lake! Come as you are & take a seat at nature’s table under the canopy of stars. Embrace the wooded ambiance and meadow views from the Board Room & living space. Located between I-68 and Deep Creek Lake/Wisp. Our hope is to provide a serene landscape where you can find peace and rest through nature. Our setup works well for business travelers & as an escape to nature in lieu of hotels!
The Board Room is a new ground level, garden flat. It is a 2 Bedroom/1 Bath suite, with a private exterior entrance and parking for 2 to 3 cars. The 2nd bedroom is next to the Living Room with curtains providing privacy from the Living Room. While it is part of our home, it is soundproofed to where normal conversations cannot be heard. You may be able to hear some footsteps. It has central heat and air conditioning. The Board Room parking is to the left of the house and is shared with the Butterfly Suite – our other guest space which sleeps 6. The Board Room entrance is located on the backside of the house from the main entrance. To access the entrance, you will need to walk past the garden & grass yard to the back exterior of the house. We are enchantedly hidden at the end of a 700’ lane through a carpeted forest of ferns. There is a small table outside the back door that is a great location to have your morning coffee and watch the sun rise and the deer graze in the meadow! The flat overlooks a 60-acre former strawberry farm where deer and wild turkeys are frequent guests. Feel free to gander at our resident chickens and take a leisurely walk/hike through the woods and our property. Take a seat and enjoy the stars in their nightly splendor while sitting around the firepit. In the summer air you can hear the music of cicadas and crickets strumming their wings and spring peepers in the moonlight. This is one of my favorites! Although this is newly constructed there is plenty of age & history. Most of the stone used on the premises are from the farm. Some of the hand cut stones used in the landscaping were from the foundation of a (1800’s) school that Ken’s grandfather attended. The headboard of the bed was constructed by Ken & Cheryl from some 140 year-old barn boards. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom with a tub/shower is across the hall from the bedroom. The kitchenette consists of: a refrigerator, toaster oven, waffle maker, single burner induction cooktop, a microwave, electric kettle, drip coffee maker, and a Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen is also equipped with a crockpot, cooking and eating utensils, sugar, salt, basic spices, assorted teas, a few K-Cups, etc. This is a perfect yet affordable location for a peaceful retreat in the country or for a family ski/lake weekend. It also works great for a business traveler looking for a home away from home. We are located near a state forest which makes this a convenient location for hunters. There is a streaming TV in the Living Room. Free Wireless Internet is available. It is provided by Neubeam (5 MBPS) and will permit some streaming. It is possible to use VPN connections if you must check in for business while on your vacation. We have been told that Comcast will be available here later in the year and at that time we intend to upgrade our internet. To make the stay of our guests with allergies more pleasant, this is a NO SMOKING and NO PET property.
Ken’s place is located in Accident, Maryland, United States. Foxtown Road is a scenic country road with very light traffic. It is favored by many bike enthusiasts and runners. The Garrett County Gran Fondo 100+ mile bike race is marked by the end of our driveway as do other bike races. We are situated at the edge of the former Country Acres Strawberry Farm where Ken grew up and was part owner. Ken’s mother owns a cabin a few hundred yards away that sleeps 12 so extended family and friends can stay nearby but retire in their own private space. There is a mowed grassy walking path on the outside perimeters of our property that extend to her pond. (On most occasions she has approved walking excursions, but with taking her guests into consideration). The closest grocery store is 5 miles. Closest fast food is Brenneman's Store - 3 1/2 miles - Pizza, hamburgers, sandwiches, soft freeze ice cream, etc.-very reasonable prices. Coffee Shop: Canoe on the Run - 6 miles. Bakery: The Rolling Pin located in Accident - 5 miles. Our favorite local restaurants are: Mountain State Brewery, Deep Creek Seafood, Pizzeria Uno, Green Turtle. Movie Theater: Garrett 8 Cinemas - 9 miles. Deep Creek Lake: 6 Miles Wisp Ski Resort: 7 miles Garrett College - 5 miles ASCI Whitewater Course 7 mile Upper Yough River-whitewater rafting 10 miles Swallow Falls State Park: 14 miles New Germany State Park: 13 Miles Shop-N-Save: 5 miles Walmart Super Center: 17 miles Amish Community: 20 miles
  • Ken's place was exactly like the photos... Beautiful, roomy, restful and immaculate! We would definitely recommend anyone to come stay here if they are in need of peace and quiet. It's also very close to hiking trails at Deep Creek Lake.

  • This is a magical space. Plenty of room for a family of up to six to stay very comfortably. We enjoyed the full-sized fridge and ping-pong table. The peace of the countryside and the chickens was a great plus. We would stay here again!

  • Ken's place is great! The space is huge, way bigger than we expected! They have it decorated perfectly! The floors are amazing, they seemed to be heated. The location was great as well, we went to the wisps resort and to the waterfalls nearby. The location is close to everything. They even have fresh bread and jelly waiting for you that's delicious! We would definitely recommend this place!

  • Our family of 5 absolutely LOVED our stay. We have 3 active boys and they played ping pong for hours. They forgot the reason for our visit was to ski at Wisp. Everyone had space. While the kids played ping pong, my husband and I watched a movie on Netflix. We had plenty of room and the location was just perfect. Very close to Wisp and just far enough to feel the privacy as if we lived here. My family can all agree that we want to come back!

This wonderful peaceful private cottage is located on the Savage River. This river offer's world class fly fishing. Fire pit, and pavilion with picnic table located on the ground for your private use! Screened back porch makes perfect evenings. This remote cottage is generally left in the condition of the previous guests so please be respectful during your stay and leave the cottage like you found it, or better. Keeps $ down!
  • Great little ‘glamping’ spot! Loved not having cell service and WiFi, it was great to disconnect and hike and enjoy the outdoors. FYI no corkscrew, but other than that kitchen had more than enough to make some delicious meals. Really enjoyed our stay

    Megan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage was just as described and a great place for a long weekend. Take your own bedding & towels, baking sheet/pans if you plan to use the oven and extra coffee cups (if more than 2 needed). Otherwise we found the kitchen supplies adequate. There was a box fan provided but we didnt need it as the temps dropped for perfect sleeping weather. Some basic items left from prior visitors (e.g. three containers of lighter fluid, coffee filters, etc.). Property was wonderful! Open clearing with fire pit for stargazing and path to creek were awesome! Close to several state parks for hiking and OVR trails. Would definitely stay again if we're back in the area!

    Ashley2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the peace and quiet at the cabin. Each morning when we opened the door bunnies were just outside the door in the grass. We loved being able to hear the sound of the creek and the secluded area it was in. Wished we could’ve stayed longer!!!

    Tabatha2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. The location is just amazing - very private and a large piece of land with access to the river. We spent a lot of time walking down to the river and looking for crawfish. We even tried fly fishing although we didn't have any luck :) The Savage River Reservoir is right down the road, so we rented kayaks from the nearby convenience store and spent two days out on the water, where we caught perch and smallmouth, and saw a bald eagle flying low over the water. Deep Creek Lake was about 40 minutes away which was also great. Overall, we'll be back for the location alone! The cabin is small and has no AC so we stayed outside most of the time, and luckily it would cool down enough at night to sleep comfortably. There's a lot of wildlife here, we saw a doe and her fawn, a bobcat, a black bear, turkeys, and tons of rabbits. We had a very good time disconnecting and relaxing. Thanks for a great place!

    Adara2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice rustic cabin and has a lovely secluded location. We saw lots of lovely wildlife. Be sure to bring your own bedding and towels.

    Kim2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Tina & Bob's. We went with friends as well as our dog, and we loved the large yard (perfect for stargazing at night!). We spent most of our time outside. The house was as written, nothing fancy, more like "glamping". We enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch as well.

    Catherine2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Went there with three friends definitely going to be back again maybe later on in the summer to do some kayaking again! Really nice and affordable place to stay!

    Dan2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin itself is one step up from tent camping, which is exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations, this isn't for you. However, the place is priced at a great value and the land the cabin sits on is just beautiful. We also visited the nearby reservoir which was beautiful as well. It was so nice to unplug (no cell service) for the weekend and enjoy nature with a warm place to sleep. We will definitely be back!

  • We spent our Christmas here and loved the spacious accommodations as well as having all the awesome comforts of home! We were able to go snowtubing and visit Swallow Falls State park both less than an hour away. We also enjoyed the walking distance to all the local hot spots. Great location and awesome host!

    Vivian2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay here, and everything was as good as or better than the first. The eggs, sausage, and pancake mix supplied a belly filling breakfast for one morning. There was oatmeal and other stuff for the second morning if we hadn't eaten out instead. The location is great and there are more beds than you can shake a stick at. Note that of the beds in the bunk room, only two are mattresses and the rest are air mattresses. It is both spacious and cozy, partly because of the nice lighting. There are no big fluorescent lights to turn on if you decide you need more light, but this was never a problem for us. It was fun to look at the huge hand drawn map on the whiteboard on the bottom of one of the beds and start to recognize my college campus--Penn State!

  • This place is awesome! A cute little apartment fully equipped with all the amenities on might need for your stay, from a full kitchen, to coffee, living area w/ TV, etc. It's situated right on the Frostburg campus, so it's perfectly located for day trips around Western MD, PA and WV. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming. It's also right up the road from Main Street where there are plenty of places to eat. Alicia was very friendly, hospitable and communicative throughput the stay. Highly recommended!

  • Nice apartment, comfy bed and sofa. Nice kitchen but simple, no dishwasher and plates for 4 total. We had 4 adults and 2 slept in living room but 4 would fit in bedroom - would work well for family with younger kids.

Cabin E is situated on a plateau overlooking the stream and community bon-fire area, just a short walk to whitewater stream that runs through a majestic hemlock forest. In some places, the stream is a constant source of energy and playfulness; in other places, it is peaceful and calming, inviting you to soak in its beauty. The forest contains a vast array of plants and wildlife. Abrams Creek is near many extraordinary recreational sites, but is also its own destination.
Cabin E is a rustic camping cabin; it has electricity, but no plumbing. There are bunk beds (twin over a full-sized mattress) and a large futon on the main floor and a full-sized mattress in the loft.
  • Awesome out of the way place. Just what I needed

    Ramona2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to connect with nature! Not the most well fitted log cabin! But very fairly priced and a good place to away to urban life

    Henry2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time here in two months! The area is so beautiful and the cabin is just as you would expect. Definitely would come back again!

    Maxine2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • the cabin and place is as expected. Michael is a patient host too :)

    Natalie2019-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cottage right by an active and rambling brook. Some cabins have heat, others do not. Luckily we figured out which one we needed and michael was quick and accurate to change out reservation over. The property is pristine and isolated - a perfect getaway for a couple, job or social environment. I definitely will be coming back.

    Ilya2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent no frills cabin stay in a beautiful area. We'll definitely be returning!

    Chris2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous creek, nice campfire and cabin spot.

    Robert2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The creek and forest are absolutely gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing. Cabin E was cozy and fairly removed from other sites so we enjoyed privacy. We would love to go back, and may try one of the lovely tent sites right next to the water next time. We weren't sure how check in would work, but there is someone in residence to manage that and greet you upon arrival, so that was a nice touch.
