Places to stay in Goldsithney
Our cottage is a cosy converted blacksmith's workshop in the ancient Cornish town of Marazion - home to St Michael's Mount & in Poldark country! One of the oldest properties in Marazion, the cottage is just off the main street and the SW coast path.
The Old Forge is a cosy converted granite blacksmith's forge in the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Marazion, with exposed stone walls, real wood flooring and a cast iron log burner (perfect for snuggling up in front of!) as well as a range of beautiful original features including the old blacksmith's shop front, deep window seats in the thick granite walls and even a lintel made from a reclaimed ship! It has a new, fully equipped and beautiful country kitchen with wooden worktops, an electric range cooker, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer and Smeg fridge-freezer, and a bathroom with a cast iron roll top bath with electric shower over. There is a farmhouse dining table and 4 chairs in the living room. The property has two bedrooms - a double and twin. The double room features an old exposed chimney breast and velux windows - perfect for stargazing on a warm summer evening. The twin room has a beautiful exposed granite wall and original wooden beam. Marazion is on the South West coast path with beautiful beaches (including a dog-friendly year-round beach) great for walking and bathing, and famous for windsurfing and kitesurfing. A 5 minute walk through the old main street of Marazion, the town centre features several fantastic pubs and restaurants, including the exceptional Ben's Cornish Kitchen (winner of the Cornwall Life Food & Drink Award 2014), the Godolphin Arms and a number of cosy pubs including The King's Arms (highly recommended for a Sunday roast), The Cutty Sark and The Fire Engine Inn. We are very happy to welcome guests with a well-behaved dog (or two!) however please bear in mind that the property does not have a garden (although there are several patches of grass and a playing field within a 30 second walk of the front door). We can also recommend some fabulous walks - all tried and tested by our labrador, Moo. We run an eco-conscious cottage so, as far as possible, everything provided in the cottage (where applicable) will be local, organic, environmentally-friendly and/or Fair Trade. We really love sharing our little cottage with other people and are very grateful for having such lovely guests who take good care of it during their stay. If anything does get damaged or broken during your stay please do let us know ASAP - we really don't mind (these things happen!) however we often have guests checking in the same day you check out and knowing in advance means that we can make sure items are fixed or replaced before our next guests arrive. Please note: There is no allocated parking provided however you will be able to park very close to the house on one of the adjoining, unrestricted roads. We are very close to the sea here so in the spring and summer it's not uncommon for the seagulls to start their morning chorus quite early! We've tried asking them to wake up a bit later however this doesn't appear to have worked as yet . . .

Hand-built and high-spec, this magical shepherd's hut has all the essentials for a peaceful, revitalising few days away. Breathe in the sea air and the wild, rugged beauty of the surrounding coastal paths before snuggling into the bedroom blankets.
We have made a comfortable, cosy space ideal for a couple or for one person. There is space for a travel cot if you wanted to bring a little one. The underbed space is left free for you to put all your bags and cases out of the way so you can relax and unwind whilst you're here. There is a great eco efficient radiator that keeps it really warm and plenty of throws and cushions to cosy up with! There is a small breakfast bar and stools in the kitchen area so you can prepare and eat some meals if you want to. We will leave a welcome pack of essentials for you ( milk, tea, bread etc) to tide you over till you get to the shops! We provide bed linen and towels so you don't need to worry about those...
This tiny hamlet of just a few houses lies in an area of Cornwall famed for its history of tin mining. The local pub is just a few steps away, with good food and live music. The popular and lively beach towns of St Ives and Penzance are also nearby.
  • In a great location. Very clean and very cosey in the bad weather.

  • The Sheppy was perfect for our 2 night stay in St Ives over New Year. Trisha was incredibly helpful and made sure the heating was on before we arrived. The Sheppy was super cosy, a great space for my partner and I and our puppy Molly. The fields beside the cabin meant Molly was able to have a lovely off-lead walk and play. It was a 5 minute car journey into St Ives and the off road parking meant get to and from into town was super easy. A delightful stay. Thank you so much.

  • Where to start... Trisha and Allan went above and beyond to make sure not only our stay was amazing but also ensured our Christmas Day was unforgettable! Thank you so much for having us! If you’re ever in Sydney let us know :) :)

    Emma2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a such cute little place to stay! Trisha made it feel so homely. Great fields to walk the dog which was a bonus. They went the extra mile and added breakfast bits which was amazing. Allen was great too giving us great advice on the location and walks for us. He wasn’t wrong about the Thai restaurant either amazing food. We loved this place sure to visit again. Peaceful and amazing!

  • I had a wonderful stay at The Sheppy. It is a beautiful little shed, that had everything I needed for a few nights in Cornwall. I met Trish briefly, but her husband Alan checked in on me a few times to make sure everything was ok. The Sheppy is in an ideal location, as it’s a few minutes drive from St Ives, and I was able to watch the most beautiful sunrises each morning over the fields! Will definitely return on my next visit to Cornwall.

    Vivienne2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful week at The Sheppy. It is in a nice location, opposite a cozy pub with great food. The owners had filled the fridge well, which was a pleasant surprise. And especially the heineken was appreciated. Were further received friendly and received many tips about the area. Recommended!

The cabin is tucked away in the beautiful, unspoilt countryside of west Cornwall, between St Ives and Penzance and close to a choice of idyllic beaches. It has a double bed, plus sofabed, tea/coffeemaking facilities, a small fridge for your breakfast supplies and a great shower (hand and bath towels are provided). It's in a quiet hamlet with a great pub opposite, The Engine Inn ((URL HIDDEN) which has a great atmosphere, good food and regular live music. My husband Alan and I have lived in this house for over 20 years and raised our three children here in this lovely spot. We're on a B road which has buses to St Ives and Penzance stopping outside every hour. It's a fabulous place to stay and an ideal base to explore the moors and unspoilt countryside of West Penwith. We enjoy meeting new people we look forward to having guests come to stay and discovering the area. We are easy going types who are used to having a housefull! We both work; I am an educational home visitor for young disabled children and I also design and make silver and enamelled jewellery. Alan is a plumber and heating engineer. The cabin is opposite our house and you are welcome to use the garden. There is parking available just behind the accommodation. There is a sofabed which could accommodate a child (or two small ones, maybe!). There are tea and coffee making facilities and continental breakfast (cereal, muffins or bagels with jam and marmalade, juice and yogurt) is provided. On a sunny morning it's lovely to sit outside and enjoy the peace and tranquility.... We look forward very much to meeting you!
  • We loved the cabin! It was a quiet and cosy spot, full of thoughtful touches from Alan and Trisha. We arrived quite late but we still had a warm welcome from Alan who had everything ready for us, he even brought us a couple of beers from the house. The location, halfway between Penzance and St Ives was ideal for us because we were aiming to see as much of Cornwall as possible. It was such a lovely stay and we would recommend it to everyone.

    Sandra2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay. Beautiful relaxing settings and very cosy with so many little thoughtful extras by the host, such a nice touch to include the continental breakfast. Fab location, 5-10 min drive to St Ives but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside! Great communication. Would 100% recommend!!!

    Gemma2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Trisha's cabin is lovely. It's cosy, private, clean and has everything you need and more. Location wise, it's really close to everything, nothing is more than 10 mins drive. We enjoyed our time there and we think it offered great value for money. Thank you Trisha for the breakfast, that was very kind of you and a lovely touch. Alex & Andrada

  • My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the cabin. It is clean, cosy and comfortable (a great shower) and Trisha was helpful and friendly. It’s in a beautiful village setting, peaceful, with a lovely local pub across the road which serves local Cornish ales and food. The location is central to lots of lovely places - St Ives, Porthcurno, Mousehole and Land’s End. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend!

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at The Cabin. Trish and Alan were excellent hosts who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. They provided us with lots of thoughtful tips to explore the local area. The accommodation was nicely designed into a compact space that met all of our needs. A great summer getaway in an idyllic, rural location!

  • Very cute cabin, clean and very well decorated. Trisha created a cosy atmosphere in this original place ! We had a great and comfortable stay there with a nice breakfast. The cabin is well situated, close to the city of St-Ives and the beaches, perfect for a romantic stay in the area !

  • The Cabin was an absolute highlight of our trip. Very comfortable and everything we needed, beautifully decorated and absolute pleasure to stay in. • We had a wonderful stay here! The weather wasn’t very good so it was very nice to have a warm cozy cabin to come home to. The tasty homemade cake was a welcome surprise as well as the homemade jam and bread for breakfast.

    Sebastian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our return to this lovely little gem for a 2nd time! Ideal central location with great hosts. Lots of little personal touches and a lovely log burner to boot! HIGHLY recommend a stay!

  • We had the best time at Kassie’s place. She was the perfect host and we couldn’t have been happier!

    Yonela2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Smithy. It was a superb location and only a short drive to local shops and restaurants. We were greeted with a lovely basket of bread and pastries as well as a delicious lemon cake. The log burner was the perfect way to end a windy and wet day on the Cornish coast. Kassie and her Husband were very welcoming and were sure to check we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here as it’s a great location and a home away from home. We will definitely be staying again soon!

    Hannah2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kassie’s place was lovely. It was so clean and quiet, and there was orange juice and jam and a cake waiting for us. She was lovely and very easy to communicate with. This place is absolutely perfect for a couple’s getaway. One of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed in.

A quiet bright double bedroom in our modern family home. Exceptional location near Penzance Promenade and Morrab Gardens, the tropical park. An ideal place to stay to catch the ferry to the Isles of Scilly. A short walk to the town centre and the railway station. Free on-street parking nearby, or along the Promenade.
A small bright double bedroom in my three-bedroom modern townhouse. Your bedroom is upstairs while the bathroom and kitchen are downstairs. I have guest WIFI and you can make yourself tea and coffee in the kitchen.
I'm literally one minute away from the promenade. You can access all the beautiful Cornish beaches from mine, the supermarket is five minutes away. The town centre is close by with its quirky shops and bars/pubs. There's a take away at the end of my street- a very good Indian and a Fish'n'Chips. There are two supermarkets ten minutes away along the promenade as well as two stunning parks.

  • Laima was so welcoming and accommodating. I was on a bit of an unusual schedule and really appreciated her friendliness amd hospitality. The room was clean and a nice private space. I enjoyed the little amenities such as a towel. I made a nice breakfast before heading out and enjoyed their company. Thank you

    Scott2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Laima’s was great. The house was very cosy and we were welcome to use the kitchen and bathroom at our leisure during our brief stay. Ideal location for the shops and cafes in town and for getting over to Newlyn/Mousehole. Thank you again!

    Lukas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely recommendable. They offered us exactly same food, shower stuffs, space they use, not like other hosts who provide things in minimum level. I believe it is the starting spirit of airbnb. Rare find, and would like to stay again. Loved the wall painting in the room much as well! Good taste good heart people.

  • Everything is great! The room is ten times better than the photo! My friend and I wanted to stay here the next day, but it was a house that had to be home by 10 p.m., not a place for bar-loving us.

  • Feeling sad to leave this little place that I've adopted as my home for the last few weeks, and it really does feel like home. I owe Judy and her family a massive thankyou for their kindness and hospitality but also for this place where I was able to come to get my Dissertation finished. I truly couldn't have done it without the peace of The Stables. The place has everything you would need. The kitchen has everything allowing me to cook every day, the bed is super super comfortable, great hot shower. Even though it's not massive, it functions as a bedroom, kitchen, lounge (TV and sofa), dining room and more. The location is stunning, it sits on what used to be a working farm amongst a couple of othe places Judy rents and with Judy's beautiful farm house nearby. It has been perfectly quite and private when I have needed it and perfectly friendly when I've needed something or fancied a chat. The surrounding coast line has some very beautiful beaches and towns, Porthlevan which is 5 mins in the car is a really stunning harbour town on the hill with views of the lizard and really good food, fish, cafe's etc. On that note I would say, and this is likely to be true for many places in cornwall, that this would not have been as much fun without the car. It probebrly wouldn't be very easy. Truly that's about the most negative thing I can think to say about this place. Oh and that the place needs a cheese grater:)!! Thanks again to Judy and her family. I will be back, I'm almost certain. Alistair

    Alistair2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended, lovely place, with wonderful views. Sparkling clean, with everything what you need.

    Joanna2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, sparking cleaning with everything you would need for a house from home! Also so close to everything you need shops etc. Would definitely go back again!!

  • Great small space for a couple or young family, lovely country location close to lots of lovely beaches, towns and things to do! Judy was very friendly and helpful.

Nestled snugly under a canopy of trees in the Hayle Valley, River Cottage provides a tranquil bolthole for two deep in the cornish counryside. Escape from everyday life for a peaceful holiday and recharge your batteries in this special rural retreat.
Converted from a former cart shed and stables which served nearby Carbis Mill, River Cottage provides stylish, modern living with a twist of quirkiness. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable, providing everything for a fantastic country break. Situated at the end of a long track the river setting is beautiful throughout the year.
The property is dog friendly with a securely fenced rear garden. A gate leads into a woodland area with access to a public footpath running alongside the River Hayle and beautiful walks in unspoilt countryside. Outside seating and dining areas enable you to enjoy life alfresco. We are situated approx. 10 minutes drive from both north and south coasts with their glorious beaches.
  • This was our second stay at river cottage and it didn’t disappoint. It’s such a comfortable, relaxing and tranquil place to be, with lovely walks, shops and places to eat nearby. Only a few minutes drive to Hayle, St Ives and Penzance and the beautiful west Cornish coast. We took our labrador again and he enjoyed the enclosed garden plus running around on the beaches near Hayle. Adrian and Lucy were so welcoming and loved dogs too - which was a bonus! We can’t wait to go back!

    Emily2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful! Hosts were wonderful, the location is perfect and the cottage was fantastic. Would definitely recommend - great base for exploring both coasts

    Sarah2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • River Cottage is wonderful. It is well equipped, with everything that you could possibly need. But it is the location that is exceptional. It is so quiet. Our best memory will be standing in the back garden and looking at the night sky with no light pollution and only the sound of the nearby river. It is the perfect getaway. Lucy and Adrian are excellent hosts. They gave us helpful suggestions for places to visit. Little personal touches enhanced the experience . River Cottage is within easy reach of St Ives and Penzance and many other places of interest. We hope to return soon as this location is so very special.

    Neil2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely space to relax and unwind. We happened to be staying during some storms which gave us a good excuse to stay in an enjoy the fire and have a few games of scrabble with some wine in hand. The cottage has everything we needed and lots of personal touches. Lucy and Adrian were lovely and quick to respond, you can see they have put a lot of care and consideration into the cottage. Would definitely return in the future and have already recommended to friends.

  • We spent 5 nights at River Cottage and it was pure bliss. This was our first trip to Cornwall and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. River Cottage is stunning! The pictures don’t do it justice, it really exceeded our expectations. It is in a secluded location so incredibly peaceful but only 20 minutes into St Ives so still really close by. You also have large supermarkets within 10 minutes so really convenient to get things if you are planning on having nights in. Behind the cottage is a beautiful river where you can go for a really nice walk which was lovely. We originally planned to go out for dinner in the evenings but the cottage was so nice we spent every evening in cosied up by the log burner. The house is also covered in pretty fairy lights including in the bush outside the living room window so it really couldn’t be more romantic. Lucy and Adrian were amazing hosts. They were there the minute we got out the car to greet us and help with bags down to the cottage and gave us a tour of the house. There is also a helpful book inside with instructions for everything including how to work the log burger. We were gutted to leave and will be returning as much as possible!

    Holly2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures are incredible but it is even better in real life. Can not recommend this place and Adrian and Lucy enough. Attention to detail is second to none, beautiful setting, beautiful cottage, beautiful interior! Everything was superb! We didn’t want to leave! This is a MUST stay!

    Alec2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Adrian and Lucy were brilliant hosts. The cottage is beautiful set in the nicest of surroundings that I can imagine are beautiful no matter what time of year you go. It’s so quiet and peaceful at the cottage with a lovely stream and garden. Lots of fun things to do near by as well. Highly recommend Thank you

    Sam2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Adrian was a great host, making sure that everything was perfect ready for our stay and always being available if we had any questions. The house was beautiful, cosy and warm and the surrounding garden and public footpaths were great for the dog. The house was in the the perfect location, far enough away to feel truly relaxing but a short car ride to all the main towns and beaches and a short walk to the local village! I would definitely recommended as a place to stay if you want to get away from it all but also as a great base for exploring Cornwall. Would definitely stay again!

  • Really clean and tidy place which is ideally located to explore Cornwall. Any questions were answered quickly and the check in was very easy! Book inside with other people's tips and ideas for where to visit was very helpful. Great value for money and a very peaceful setting!

We welcome singles, couples and business travellers
Your room is on the 2nd floor of this 19th century town house and is accessible through a trap door. As you enter the room you are first greeted by a stunning 180 degree view of the bay through a 3-sided box window. The size of the room is very comfortable: Floor area: 4 x 5 meters (approx) Roof height: 2.2 meters at highest point of pitched roof. Toilet and washing facilities: You have your own en-suite toilet and butler sink which are located within glass block partition walls and are accessible via cafe style swing doors. Kitchen: You also have your own kitchen area where you can prepare breakfast and packed lunches. This consists of a wooden work top, crockery/cutlery for 2 people, mini fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Breakfast: Sadly a cooked breakfast is not available but cereal, milk, tea, coffee will be waiting for you when you arrive. Food supplies are easily accessible with a Tesco local, 2 Co-ops, a vegetable shop and an Archie Browns within a 5 minute walk of the house. Shared bathroom: Directly opposite the bottom of the stairs to your room is a spacious toilet and shower room which you are welcome to use. Electricity: There is a £1 coin meter which supplies all the sockets in the room. This will be topped up with £5 which should be enough for your stay. However if you run out simply insert more coins and continue to enjoy your room.
Belgravia Street is a quiet, residential street even though we are very close to the centre of the town. However I feel I should point out that there is a social club further along the street opposite which stages evening events, mainly at the weekends. This means that occasionally there may be a few customers standing outside the club in the evening chatting until 10 or 11pm. The noise is minimal and can be reduced substantially by keeping the front window of your room shut.
  • Andrew and Winnies place was lovely. It is a bright loft conversion and with private kitchen and toilet. There are many nice touches like some cereal and milk and lots of leaflets about the area. It is nice and warm with an electric blanket too. Thanks for a brilliant and relaxing stay!

  • Karly's place was lovely,it had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. It was super clean and we loved how it's been decorated, the bed is also super comfy. It is well situated for lots of amazing beaches that Cornwall has to offer. Karly and her family were very welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

  • Spotless and well appointed property in a great location. Really well equipped kitchen, we had everything we needed and it was a bonus to find sharp kitchen knives! Loved the stylish and fresh decor and furnishings. Walkable to the beach (30 mins, off road). Two pubs and a well stocked shop offering local fresh produce, staples and an excellent local gin selection 5 mins walk away in the village. A lovely property for exploring west Cornwall. The only really minor downsides were that the wifi was a bit patchy and the king bed is actually 2 singles pushed together which had a tendency to slip apart.

    Jo2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful space with separate bedroom set up with twin beds for my daughter and myself Karly was quick to respond to my enquiry We were so lucky with the weather and found the flat was so close to my Father-in-laws home in Praa sands. I highly recommend you visit here and Karly was kind to leave me a bottle of wine and a carton of milk to help us to settle in :) Love to stay again when visiting family

  • What a great holiday home :-) Everything was just perfect: the hosts Karly and Sam are very personable and give great tips. Sam has made the house so nice and Karly has decorated it very stylishly. A house in which you have space. The equipment offers everything, what one needs. We stayed with Karly for a week and felt very comfortable. The farewell was difficult for us. Karly, Sam, we'll be back. Thanks again for the nice time with you. Greetings from Birgit and Christiane

Budget studio room with basic kitchen facilities. Adjacent shower room/toilet. Perfect for the economic traveler. The basement is part of an old Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of Penzance. Double bed and a comfortable sofa bed. Writing desk. TV. There's also a small contained kitchen area with fridge/freezer, cooker, toaster, kettle and microwave. 10 minutes from the train station or beaches and the town's famous promenade. This is a marvellously equipped room for budget travellers.
It's an old Georgian townhouse with wisteria climbing it's walls. Down some old granite steps is the studio. It's a large room but cosy and offers good privacy and of course it's very well equipped with a basic kitchen included so you don't have to eat out every night. The house itself is charming and very homely. There is a shower room and toilet at the entrance to the studio but there is also a larger family bathroom upstairs if that is busy.
  • Everything what I needed for my work trip. Good location

  • A really good location for access to local beaches and tourist attractions, but tucked nicely off the main road, so you get some peace and quiet. I visited in December while it was very wet and windy, not an ideal time to be staying in a static caravan, but we were still able to heat the space to a very comfortable temperature and maintain it well. Comfy beds, and pretty much everything you might need for your stay provided for you. Lovely hosts too.

  • This property is brand new and very well fitted out with lots of high quality equipment and touches. Showers and beds were all very good, something that makes a big difference when you are on holiday. Even an outside hot shower for washing our dog, cleaning boots and wetsuits off. Great hosts, always there to answer questions or give advice on the area when needed, nothing was too much trouble. The location is quiet and an easy drive to both the north or south coast with lots to visit. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again if returning to this area.

Wonderfully comfortable light & airy room in my quiet home where I also live. Awake to enchanting sea view of St Michael's Mount through French windows opening out onto spacious balcony. Continental breakfast is provided.
I am offering a place of sanctuary and retreat within my home where you can relax and unwind after a stressful time or to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The room is beautifully decorated in calming colours, with a comfortable double bed from which there is an uninterrupted view of St Michael's Mount and the surrounding bay. Plenty of storage space, a TV/DVD, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities are all available within your private room, from which you can step out onto the balcony, where you can breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The house is in walking distance of the beautiful ancient market town of Marazion, where you can find a post office, pubs, cafes, restaurants and art galleries. At low tide you can walk to St Michaels Mount using the causeway or take the ferry at high water, stroll across the wide expanse of beach or even take a dip in the sea. I am perfectly situated for exploring the historic town of Penzance, the fishing port of Newlyn, seaside resort of St Ives, with Tate Gallery and the Barbara Hepworth museum, and the quaint village of Mousehole, here you can enjoy freshly cooked fish and chips sitting on the quay. Other local attractions include the spectacular open air theatre of The Minnack and Lands End, There are also many beautiful gardens and beaches to explore in the area.
Very quiet and peaceful all you will hear is the sea.....oh and the sea gulls!
  • Both me and my fiancée had a great stay here for a get away before our wedding A good base to explore not only marazion but also all the towns and beaches nearby, would definitely recommend.

  • Castle View is a wonderful base for exploring Marazion and Penzance as well as the glorious St Michael's Mount. Comfortable, clean and welcoming, the property has a lovely feel to it that helps you relax and unwind. The private parking bay was especially welcome as parking is limited in the town. There are lovely pubs and restaurants all within walking distance (if you don't mind a little walk up the hill on your way back) and the local food and entertainment is excellent. Marita is a fabulous host and very helpful and friendly, providing access to her kitchen for a lovely continental breakfast each morning. Your own bathroom next door is large, has everything you need and is spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. The bedroom has a very comfy double bed, plenty of storage space, tea and coffee facilities and a sliding double door opening onto a large patio with seating. Here you can sit and enjoy amazing views of St Michael's Mount and some fabulous sunsets and sunrises. Definitely recommended and somewhere I will be visiting again very soon.

    Rick2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning and your Super Host, Marita, is a very special lady whom as an experienced traveller understands how to make your stay truly memorable, Firstly, the location. Positioned above the village of Marazion (15 min stroll to the centre) there is a picture postcard view of St Michael’s Mount which can be enjoyed from both the bedroom window and the glass walled balcony. Next door is an excellent Hotel restaurant and less than 2 minutes walk the local’s Pub The Fire Station which offers great food and excellent beers. The accommodation has all the facilities you would expect in a quality hotel with a good sized private bathroom. Breakfast consists of every conceivable type of tea, cereals; fruit, toast and jams. Marita understands what her guests appreciate and delivers with her professionalism and Sicilian warmth. We look forward to our next visit.

    Annette2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • The problem with being at Marita's home is that it is so wonderful and nurturing to be there i am already trying to move my schedule for next year so i can come back. She has a wonderful system to prepare us to arrive. The room and private bath and clean and bright. The view is breathtaking for me. What she offers for breakfast is thoughtful to our needs. She allows us privacy and also great conversations. The location is easily accessible to the village and the castle. Clearly highly recommended

    Catherine2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home, the location is perfect for a trip to the south coast of Cornwall; easy drive into Penzance (12 mins) and Marazion itself is lovely, with St Michael’s Mount on your doorstep. The view from the bedroom is amazing and Marita is very welcoming.

Stylish, Cornish-themed decor, immaculately presented and perfectly located to explore areas, such as Helston, Hayle, Marazion etc. Sarah & Patrick were there to greet us on arrival, as well as the delicious chocolate cake mentioned in numerous reviews. Very attentive hosts, we will definitely look to stay there again in the future. Cannot rate highly enough. Thanks again, and hope to see you soon. Dave & Michaela

  • What can we say, we use Airbnb regularly and it’s so lovely to be welcomed by such a kind owner. After a nice chat and tucking into the chocolate cake that Sara made for us, we settled in and were happy to see that everything was as advertised. Everything in this place is modern and super clean. As we were staying in February, we took advantage of the fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and all sheets were clean and smelled lovely. We had our little Jack Russel with us and she had a blast. Very convenient for beach trips and nice and quite area. Would For sure come again! Thank you Sara!! Jack, Debs and Missy

  • Wow! What an amazing place to stay. Can’t rate this place highly enough. Do not hesitate to book, it’s everything you need, & more! This bungalow was spotlessly clean, well equipped, very comfortable & warm. Lovely welcome from the friendly hosts, an incredible chocolate cake waiting for us & treats for the dog too! Private space outside front & back, which due to the weather we unfortunately didn’t use, & off road parking right outside in the drive. Well situated to explore west Cornwall, but in a very quiet area. Lovely Chinese takeaway a few minutes down the road that had our order ready within 15 mins & very friendly staff. Lots of added touches, games, info & dvds. Loved our time spent here 😊

  • Definitely the best AirBnB we have ever stayed in. Superb host’s very friendly. The accommodation is immaculately clean and has everything we needed. The chocolate cake was delicious for us and the doggy treats were a lovely thought for our pet. The pictures don’t show just how good the place is. Definitely recommend.

  • So much to like about this property - it’s one of those places that feels strangely like home after just a few hours. Full of lovely touches, well thought-out spaces, amenities and artwork, the house is a perfect Penzance base from which to explore the region. To be honest, it’s the kind of place that you also just want to enjoy and relax in. Dom and Martha were super helpful (as were Martha’s parents!) - thanks for having us!

  • This is a lovely house in a quiet street. It is very well located to local shops, train and bus station. The house was exactly as described (a new sofa different from the one in the pictures), we really enjoyed the outdoor shower that was great after visiting sandy beaches. The rooms were very pleasant, especially the white one. And the kitchen had enough bits and pieces to cater for ourselves if we felt like. The hosts were really quick dealing with and issue that arises and make sure it was resolved really quickly. They were also very quick to reply to our questions and have kind gestures to us. Perfect place if you are visiting Penzance and surrounding areas.

    Maria2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Dominic‘s home is beautiful in every way, the decoration is charming with great artwork. My friend and I absolutely loved the outdoor shower! Great location very easy to get in and out of the train station in the bus station. Most places I have rented through Airbnb in England cut a lot of corners.. Like only leave you one roll of toilet paper for 4 girls for a week but not Dominic he paid attention that we would be there for six nights. I would recommend staying in this Airbnb without a doubt.

We are 20 mins walk from 3 miles of stunning beaches and sand dunes overlooking St Ives Bay. The house is a recently renovated semi detached cottage with a lounge and kitchen diner downstairs. Upstairs consists of my room and a small but comfortable guest room and bathroom. The guest room has a double bed with a new mattress, TV and a chest of drawers. It overlooks the rear garden. The lounge has a log burner which is great for the winter. The bathroom is in immaculate condition.
Guests are free to use the lounge although this will be shared with my dog Ziggy and myself when I am home. The kitchen has a microwave, cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and dining table and also has access to the rear garden. Please ensure you treat the kitchen with respect clear up after yourselves and no cooking after 10pm. The bathroom is adjacent to the guest bedroom and has an electric shower, comfort height toilet and tall sink. Well behaved and socialised dogs over 3 years old. My dog is very well behaved. Please feed your dog in the kitchen not the bedroom. When first arriving please keep your dog on a short lead so that we can take them directly into the garden to get acquainted with Ziggy. There is a £20 surcharge per visit for dogs.
Hayle is situated on the opposite side of St. Ives Bay with a stunning stretch of three miles of beach and sand dunes running west from the estuary, which is an RSPB nature reserve and bird watchers paradise. Sandwiched between St. Ives and the Godrevy Heritage Coast with lots of easy to reach transport links, Hayle is a great spot to explore Cornwall from but there is also plenty to keep you occupied with in the town. The house is close to several supermarkets, shops, take aways, restaurants and pubs. The beach is a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes by car. Where you can surf, swim or Kayak. It’s a beautiful beach which is huge when the the tide is out. You can see St Ives across the bay and there are lovely sand dunes which are part of the coastal path. Dogs are allowed on the beach at all times except for one area from between the 1st of May and 30th September when they are allowed between 6pm and 8am. There is a dog friendly beach at Porth Kidney which is about 5-10 minutes drive away in Lelant.

  • Staying with Anna was lovely! She's very warm and welcoming, as well as Ziggy the labrador, who would come and say hi as soon as we'd get back every day. Anna had lots of interesting things to say, and it felt like we weren't simply guests, but she was sharing her house with us. Also, the location is lovely, and the house has everything you could need, so it was very cosy to stay there. We're happy we went there, as it was a great experience!

The beautiful town of Marazion, set on the shores of Mount's Bay, has for long been a hot favourite for tourism in West Cornwall. Its clean, sandy beaches, with stunning views toward the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, have established Marazion as the most wonderful destination for beach holidays in Cornwall.Mount's Bay, renowned as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, provides a safe seaside environment for swimming.Marazion is also a popular destination for windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. A number of major sporting events in these fields are held on Marazion's beaches. Marazion is perhaps more widely famed as being the gateway to the enchanting Saint Michael's Mount, the jewel in Cornwall's crown. Saint Michael's Mount is accessed by a causeway, once walked by pilgrims in honour of the alleged appearance of Saint Michael, which is revealed at low tide. At other times visitors are ferried from Marazion to the Mount in small boats.Marazion is within easy travelling distance of all major attractions in West Cornwall, and is the ideal base for your holiday in Cornwall. Marazion is a short distance along the beach from Penzance, and from here it is simple to travel to Land's End, St Ives, Newquay, Helston, and the popular destinations of the Minack Theatre, the St. Ives Tate Gallery and the Eden Project.Nearby Penzance, meaning 'holy headland' is the last major town before Lands End. The market town was once made famous as the birthplace of Sir Humphrey Davy, now services the Isles of Scilly by land and sea. The streets of Penzance hold many historic buildings dating from the 17th century; it is well worth a walk around. The Turk's Head pub on Chapel Street reputed to date from 1233 is the older pub in the town, steeped in smuggling and pirate history. A few minutes down the road is Newlyn, home to one of the largest fishing fleets with over 40 acres of harbour as well as more recently attracting many great artists and exhibitions.

Derek has gone out of his way to accommodate his guests and it really feels like he has thought of everything. There's loads of maps, information on the area and even a pair of binoculars if fancy a walk through the local bird sanctuary. The flat was warm, clean and a good size with a very functional kitchen. Nearby Glendurgan Gardens boasting a recently refurbished 177 year old laurel maze, is now owned by the National Trust. For a fun-filled family day out why not visit The Flambards Experience, offering more rides, amusements and exhibitions than anywhere else in Cornwall. On the Helford River sits Frenchman's Creek where Daphne du Maurier spent her honeymoon dreaming of the Cornish villages that set the scene for her novels.Helston was originally a thriving port until the river silted up over the years; where the river joins the sea is now Cornwall's largest freshwater lake. Helston is a busy market town with plenty of Victorian and Georgian architecture. The Monument is an impressive building at the end of Coinaghall Street which was built in 1834 in memory of Humphry Millet Grylls, whose actions kept open the local tin mine and saved 1200 jobs. Possibly one of the country's oldest privately owned brewery's can also be found in Coinaghall Street; The Blue Anchor was originally used as a rest house for monks and became a tavern in the 15th century. It now makes a strong local brew called Spingo. Helston is probably best known for the 'furry' or floral dance which is held every May. Flora Day kicks off with the Hal-an-Tow where St George and St Michael slay the dragon and the devil, cheered on by the locals dressed in Elizabethan costumes. The main dancing starts at midday with participants dressed in ball gowns and top hats and tails. For children of all ages there is Flambards Theme Park next to Culdrose Air Base famous for many air sea rescue missions. There are sights to be seen around Goonhilly Earth station where the large dish Arthur is now a listed building. Try your hand at riding a 2 wheeled Segway. These together with the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek provide any holidaymaker with a wealth of interesting visits.
  • A wonderful week - the barn is beautiful, fantastic rural location and great views. The barn is beautifully furnished and so comfortable. Particularly loved the huge super king bed! Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

  • We had the most wonderful week at Tom and Kath’s barn - so good we almost want to keep it to ourselves! The barn is beautifully appointed with everything you need for a relaxing week. Our hosts even left several local treats for us to enjoy upon arrival which made us feel incredibly welcome. The barn is situated in a stunning location - I never got tired of waking up to the incredible view of the coastline every day. Overall, we can’t recommend Trequean Barn enough, and we are already making plans to return next year.

  • We had a wonderful stay here, the views were gorgeous, the place itself was brand new- well equipped, spotless and very comfortable! The owners were incredible, very friendly and generous, they greeted us on our arrival and left some delicious treats! The location is excellent, you can easily walk to the coast path and there is so much to explore in the area, we went to lands end, lizard point, st Michael's mount, st Ives and lots of walks and beaches!

Our home is a new build. We have a guest bedroom available with sole use of the family bathroom (with bath tub). Guests also have use of the kitchen, living room and garden. There is free wifi. We are also disinfecting the property between stays. We do not allow smoking or vaping in the house due to the odour. We are also 10-15 minutes walk from the beach and train station. We also have a cool little cat, so no dogs allowed. Postcode is TR27 4FB. Located just behind “Humphry Davy Lane” sign.
The bedroom has a standard double bed with a king duvet, and four new pillows. It also has a view towards the back of the Hayle sand dunes, which you can see in the distance.
Very family friendly neighbourhood, a few primary schools nearby. Plus the centre of town within easy walking distance for dinner or a trip to the beaches.

  • It was such a nice time and a wonderful visit. I was very comfortable and felt welcome. It was clean and I got to enjoy a modern, private bathroom. They are so nice and really a joy to talk with. If I lived here I would invite them out on the weekend. The cat is the sweetest although I missed out on cuddles. The location is a short walk to the main street and many restaurants.

This two bedroomed, well equipped cottage is located within the grounds of the historic Kenegie Manor. It is set in a quiet location, on a small holiday park, surrounded by green spaces. The reverse living maximises the views across Mounts Bay to Penzance.
We have used the cottage as a holiday home for several years and as such it is well equipped. It is set within landscaped grounds, surrounded by similar properties on a small holiday park and benefits from sea views. The house has a defined outside seating area and furniture for guests to use. Accommodation consists of an entrance lobby that leads to two bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a double bed and also a shower room. Stairs lead up to an open plan living/ kitchen area. This is a light and airy room with triple aspects and views across Mounts Bay and of St Michael's Mount at Marazion. There is a full size oven, microwave, fridge (but no freezer), kettle and toaster available for use.
The property sits between Penzance and St Ives. Both towns are well worth a visit. Penzance (2 miles away) is steeped in history and has a number of independent retailers. St Ives is approximately 4 miles away and is particularly picturesque - you can easily while away a few hours, wandering its narrow streets, browsing a range of shops and boutiques. The Tate St Ives overlooks Porthmeor beach and often hosts different events. Marazion and St Michael's Mount can be seen from the cottage and are only a short drive away. The Godolphin Hotel, has a stunning terrace - just the place to have a cocktail and watch the sun set. Falmouth, Truro, the Eden Project, the Lizard and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are slightly further afield but still well within reach for days out. The cottage is well situated for guests wanting to visit the reknowned, Minnack Theatre; again booking is advisable. The cottage is a short distance from the SW coastal path and for keen walkers there are a number of walks from the property, including St Michael's Way. Penzance has several supermarkets, petrol filling stations and a host of bakeries, for those all important pasties.
  • A lovely little accommodation on an active holiday style camp. Fantastic swimming pool and facilities, as well as a little club house, and restaurant. There were some lovely little touches added to the accommodation too :)

  • What a comfy and relaxing place to stay with many extras that so may self catering places do not supply namely all the essentials for breakfast including a teapot, and hair dryer The beds and throws were cosy on very chilly January nights. we came to stay after a long journey to a friend's funeral and Billie and Steve's hospitality made a sad occasion more like a winter break

    Valerie2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, great location close to Penzance and great base for beaches and St Just, Cape Cornwall, Praa Sands and many more. Very comfortable and sparkling clean. Amazing sea view too! Highly recommend.

    Marion2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fabulous experience! Went to stay for a quiet, relaxing few days away with my mum and that’s exactly what we got. The house it lovely, clean and has everything you need. And I’m not sure if it was because it was out of season, but it was very quiet and peaceful. Parking space is right outside the house and instructions to find the actual house once you get on the site are very clear and accurate. Billie Is lovely and very communicative. He also left us some snacks and door to prep breakfast, teas and coffees. Very close to Penzance town, about a 9 minute drive and also not far from big Sainsbury’s. Really great stay, would highly recommend and will be staying again some time.

Praa Sands in the South West of Cornwall is located between Helston and Penzance. The town contains many facilities including a shop, pub, post office and Praa Sands Gold Club. The nearest large supermarket is Morrisons towards Penzance. The extensive beach stretching from Rinsey Head to Hoe Point is extremely popular with the whole family, Prussia Cove, Perranuthnoe & Marazion are the nearest beaches, all within a few minutes drive. When the North Coast is 'blown out' you will find the surfers flock to Praa Sands for its powerful waves coming straight in from the Atlantic Ocean. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle which dates back to the Bronze Age. Nearby Helston is famous for its Floral Dance in May, a day when the whole town stops and dresses up for the days many dances through the streets. From Penzance you can take the Scillonian for a day trip to the picturesque Isles of Scilly, well worth a visit if you have never been. 10 minutes down the road lies Marazion famous for St Michaels Mount, home to a medieval castle and a working local community. St Michaels Mount is accessible by causeway at low tides, or by boat. The castle is leased from the National Trust by the St Aubyn family who reside at the property maintaining and working the grounds.Trennal Barn is only 1 mile from the beautiful beach and surf at Praa Sands and about the same distance from Rinsey's rocky cove (NT). Situated mid way between Hayle and Mounts Bay, Rosevidney Manor is a fabulous location to explore west Cornwall being less than 2 miles from both the North and South coasts. The Manor itself is a magnificent grade II listed building surrounded by mature gardens and the cottage is part of the converted coach house.Mounts Bay is, of course, dominated by St Michael's Mount, the jewel in Cornwall's crown. St Michael's Mount is accessed by a causeway, once walked by pilgrims in honour of the alleged appearance of Saint Michael, which is revealed at low tide. At other times visitors are ferried from Marazion to the Mount in small boats. The beautiful town of Marazion, set on the shores of Mount's Bay, has for long been a hot favourite for tourism in West Cornwall. Its clean, sandy beaches, with stunning views towards the Lizard Peninsula and Land's End, have established Marazion as the most wonderful destination for beach holidays in Cornwall with long sandy beaches providing a safe seaside environment for swimming and other watersports including windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing. A number of major sporting events in these fields are held in the bay.Nearby Penzance, meaning 'holy headland' is the last major town before Lands End. The market town was once made famous as the birthplace of Sir Humphry Davy, now services the Isles of Scilly by land and sea. The streets of Penzance hold many historic buildings dating from the 17th century; it is well worth a walk around. The Turk's Head pub on Chapel Street reputed to date from 1233 is the oldest pub in the town, steeped in smuggling and pirate history. A few minutes down the road is Newlyn, home to one of the largest fishing fleets with over 40 acres of harbour as well as more recently attracting many great artists and exhibitions.Hayle is dominated by the spectacular 3 miles of golden sands that stretch north towards Gwithian Towans and Godrevy Lighthouse. A quite stunning beach that offers opportunities for sunbathing and surfing. When the wind is blowing, watch out for the windsurfers, particularly in the waves at the northern end of the beach. This is one of the best windsurfing spots in the country. In the town of Hayle, Paradise Park is always popular with both adults and kids with their fantastic collection of rare birds and animals. There is also a good indoor play area for the kids if the weather gets bad!St Ives, once a busy fishing village, now relies on tourism as its main industry. Turner came and painted a landscape in 1811 and art has played a part in St Ives history ever since. More recently Barbara Hepworth and the Tate Gallery have put St Ives on the modern map. The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden is an amazing place to visit, and well worth it even if you're not a budding artist. Trewyn Studios where she lived and worked from 1939 until her tragic death in 1975 has been turned into a fantastic museum, depicting many of her favourite sculptures in the sub tropical garden, is now managed by the Tate. The Tate Gallery St Ives was built in 1993 on the former gas works site displaying various paintings, sculptures and ceramics.

Tresten is a bright and airy house on a quiet country road. The bedroom is a single room on the ground floor with its own private shower room, it is a lovely cheerful room. There is a kitchen adjoining the bedroom for you to use which is well equipped and has everything needed to prepare food including a cooker, fridge and microwave. It also has a table for eating. The kitchen is sometimes used by guests staying in my other double room, also listed with Airbnb but not by us at all.
It is extremely quiet here but also so close to Marazion , so you have the best of both! Marazion has a great variety of pubs, restaurants, galleries and gift shops and of course the wonderful St Michaels Mount. Penzance is a 15 minute drive and is a bustling town with more variety of shops etc

Thank you for the delicious brownies Diana, and the bunch of home grown sweet peas! This feels like a private country retreat, yet it's just minutes away from Marazion. I'll be coming back for sure.

  • Diana's place was perfect for me. It is stylish, perfectly placed and spotlessly clean. As I was travelling and booking along the way, I wasn't reading everything thoroughly and hadn't realised that there was a guest kitchen I could use - that was a very pleasant surprise. The hospitality was superb and I highly recommend to anyone in the area. I shall definitely stay again if I ever get the chance.

  • Peter and Sally's place is wonderful. A beautiful location. Wonderful hosts who made our stay easy and pleasant. Highly recommend.

    Natalie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great time in Peter and Sally's place. It was ideally situated, clean, comfortable and with all the additional amenities you could ask for. The location was ideal for the town centre and the beaches and St. Michaels mount. There was also additional, unexpected touches that made our stay really lovely Would highly recommend.

    Rachal2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter and Sally are clearly very experienced hosts - their check-in/check-out process is very clear and their communication is excellent. This was our first 'entire place' Airbnb rental and we were very satisfied. We'd strongly recommend going to the Cutty Sark down the road, and avoiding the Godolphin for anything other than drinks (which has really abysmal service, but an amazing view). All the Cornish beauty spots are within an hour of Marazion - it makes a great base for a holiday!

    Christopher2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location, so close to the centre of town where there are great places to eat & drink. Fabulous for the beach also, I don't think you can top this one!

  • Sally and Peter are really friendly and helpful. The cottage is lovely, very well equipped and clean. Me and my wife had a great weekend there and I'm sure we'll comeback next year. I do recommend this place for anyone who willing to explore Cornwall.

  • Location is close to Penzance Bus Station, Train Station and the nearby supermarket is so good! The room is clean and every time you check out, take your sheets and wash them right away! Towels are also provided, and breakfast cereals can be eaten! The kitchen is clean and the host is very friendly! Highly recommend

  • Nick's flat is excellently situated, extremely central in Penzance. Nick himself was also fantastic - he went well above and beyond when I had travel issues on my way in. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Nick!

  • Single room in a quiet area but in the center, close to amenities, the sea and the train station, what better to ask for this price

  • The cottage is just fab, plenty of space and a stunning kitchen dining area to sit and watch the birds at breakfast. Location is great for walking and visiting nearby attractions and I would not hesitate to stay again. My brother and sister in law who stayed with me are converted to Airbnb!

  • Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Walks galore and only minutes from numerous beaches. Great communication, Tessa could not have been more helpful. We visit Cornwall 3 or 4 times a year and definitely have a new first choice cottage

  • Such a beautiful place to stay, the photos really do not do this house justice. The house is really big, plenty of space for us, the garden was ideal for our French bulldog to go roaming in and is all enclosed so perfectly safe. There’s an abundance of parking. There was everything in the kitchen you’d need and more. The colour scheme was lovely. It was also extremely easy to communicate with Tessa. Really enjoyed our stay, will definitely be back 😊
