Places to stay in Goldfield
Run down miners apartment. Looks like it's about to fall down on the outside. Looks a little nicer on the inside.
This is 1 unit of a 3 unit mobile home, set up as studio apartments. It was built for the miners who needed cheep housing during the '60s and '70s. The other two units are storage and a workshop.
Ghost hunters once described Goldfield NV as the fifth most haunted town in America. Our ranking may have slipped, but we are still have our ghosts.
  • Unique accomodations, liked them so much ,stayed another day

  • Awesome place! Goldfield has several museums and old town off the beaten path shops. You’ll love it! Richard is super nice too.

  • Quaint little town. Very basic like the ad states. I had to leave for unfortunate circumstances, but Richard has good tips for sightseeing and is a nice guy!

  • A great value. Water is very hot, so be careful with the water temperature. Host is nice.

The Crib is the perfect choice for your stay in Goldfield! It's a unique unit, full of charm, with an original Goldfield antique bed and a sink from the haunted Goldfield Hotel! *Room tax will be collected at check in* Please note: We do have Wifi but our service is spotty.
The Crib has an original Goldfield antique bed with a handmade quilt. This unit was moved here from the "Red Light" district. It has been modified to be as comfortable as possible while keeping the old-time feel. You'll also find a microwave and mini-fridge in the bedroom for your convenience. The bathroom for this unit was moved here from Fallon, NV and was an old gas station office. Thus, it is detached from the Crib and accessible via a boardwalk between the two buildings (see images). The bathroom is private just to you, and has an old miner feel to it with an original sink from the haunted Goldfield Hotel!
Goldfield is a place where history and adventure truly collide to make a perfect weekend getaway! One can't describe Goldfield... Its history is extensive, its beauty unique. You must to see if for yourself. While you're here, take a tour of the town—or if you're brave, of the Haunted High School or Old Hotel!
  • This place is truly remarkable. The town is weirdly fantastic and the accommodation is incredible. We stayed in the historic ‘crib’ - an extremely cosy and comfortable place with excellent toilet and shower. The whole place feels unique, would recommend wholeheartedly.

  • Jeri is an excellent host and tour guide! Great place to stop on your way to Vegas or Reno!

    Dan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved staying at the Goldfield Stop Inn! I came in early January, just after a snow storm which dropped about 6 inches of snow on the ground. I loved all the snow! Jeri and Steve were kind enough to place extra heaters in the cabin to help keep me warm. I was very toasty the entire time and I appreciated the extra step there. They also had lots of lovely reading material about the town, the cabin and the bottles decorating the cabin. Jeri was kind enough to give me a little walking tour of the property and a run down on the town. She was great and a wonderful communicator! The bed was super comfy! I slept beautifully each night. I extended my stay last minute, and Jeri was kind enough to accommodate, I loved how peaceful the area was. Knowing the town is pretty small, I came prepared with cooked meals to be heated up in the microwave or in my own crockpot. The cabin was set up with a microwave and mini fridge with waters supplied to make coffee or hot cocoa. The Dinky Diner was a great spot for breakfast. Due to the holiday, they were only open till 2pm, so I didn't get to try their other meals. The cabin is in a great location. Right off the main road, but a few hundred yards back. Death Valley information center is about 2 hours South. I stopped in Beatty, which is about the half way point and only spot for snacks/food really. Tonopath is about 30 minutes North which has access to casinos, fuel and restaurants. Goldfield is great to explore. I did lots of hiking off the dirt roads. Great spot for off road biking as well. Due to the snow, the ground was a but muddy, which was fun for me! I highly recommend the Goldfield Stop Inn! Best of luck with Door #3 Jeri!!!!

  • A really cute and cozy cabin, the hospitality of our host Jeri was outstanding!

    Lara2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maybe one of the best Airbnb I've done. I did not expect it to be that good at all. The place already is unique. The small town of Goldfield is a must visit. Dinner and her boss: exceptional. We were so well received. As for the rental, there was everything we needed. Decorated with taste. I would have liked to stay longer.

    Nicolas2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous rooms, and Goldfield is a blast. Well worth stopping here overnight instead of Tonopah or Beatty!! Thanks very much to the hosts for helping us out when we arrived.

  • We were two in transit for a night on the spot. The accommodation is super cool and fully equipped. It was clean and local. We felt comfortable and would stay at Jeri's again anytime.

  • Jeri is so warm and welcoming! She gave us great tips for the area and pointed us in the direction of the things she knew we were interested in seeing! Jeri is super knowledgeable about the history of the town and she and her husband treated us like old friends. This was our first visit to Goldfield and we will definitely be back!!

  • Very quaint and very clean looked like a great town to ck out we just didn’t get a chance

  • Atypical place and really cozy. I was very surprised! All the western decor, I was able to go back in time for one night, thank you again. Unfortunately we did not have time to do Jeri's tour guide but surely another time! Ps: go eat at the Dinky Dinner !!!

    Benjamin2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We spent one night in the pretty western hut of Jeri. The room is perfect, very well decorated and very clean. You will never sleep on a bed as high and comfortable! The city of Goldfield is a tiny town of about one hundred inhabitants. It was once famous for its gold, it is a ghost Town very very quiet in the style of Far West: change of scenery guaranteed! We had dinner in the only restaurant in the city, the Dinky dinner. Nice meeting with Dinky his owner with whom we were able to exchange. Great for a stop between Las Vegas and Yosemite (since Goldfield take the Tioga Pass Entrance).

  • Highly recommended, our room had no problems whatsoever...Jeri is very helpful and knowledgeable about the interesting history of Goldfield...we suggest you contact her about the great tour she offers of the historical high school and/or hotel. She really cares about her guests as well as reviving the Goldfield community. Thanks, Jeri!

  • You will get a clean comfortable place with many personal touches. Really, I couldn't have expected any better. Jeri is a great host and I'm glad I stayed.

  • The town is small and sweet. The room was quiet, warm, and had conveniences I appreciated WiFi, microwave, fridge. I was very comfortable there. Super clean, modern bathroom.

  • Jeri is an amazing host. I arrived over an hour later than I thought, and it was late in the evening. Jeri greeted me and settled me in, making sure I have everything needed. The room is way more impressive than what photos showed. All the little touches, Jeri is such an artist. The bed is out of this world. Think Victorian Baroque meets Southwest. A place for a King and Queen. A true gem of a place, in the middle of nowhere in the desert. As a woman, traveling alone, it was wonderful to have Jeri greet me.

    Kassia Anita2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Room is comfy, clean, modern amenities with cool rustic touches. Make sure to visit the office/store/museum when you check in. Goldfield is full of stuff to explore and photograph. Had a lovely time and hope to return!

  • What an awesome stop we had in Goldfield. Me and my brother are still a little amazed at how cool that place is. Would recommend it to everyone, for sure. If you passing through Goldfield on your way to Vegas or otherwise, you should definitely stop there. 5/5!

    Daniel2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous accommodation and Goldfield is a blast. Would totally recommend staying in Goldfield in preference to Tonopah or Beatty, and staying with Jeri. Thank you!!

  • We really enjoyed our time in goldfield. The cabin was adorable bed was comfortable and even though we just had a brief visit we were able to walk through the town and see all the sights that we would never have seen had we not stopped. A pleasant surprise.

Are there ghosts in Goldfield? We don't know, but you can investigate for yourself. Meanwhile enjoy the peace and quiet, the clean air, the wildlife and the stargazing. It's a clean, quiet, comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house that can accommodate 5 people. It's on the way to everything: Yosemite, Death Valley, Mammoth, Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe! The sights of historic Goldfield are a bonus!
Clean, quiet, modern, comfortable house in historic Goldfield, Nevada. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, deck and yard. Maximum of 5 people. A baby under 1 year can be a 6th. Pets are allowed, though you must bring all pet supplies and do any pet-related cleanup. It's on the way to everything: just 2 hours from Death Valley; 3 hours from Yosemite; 2 hours from Mammoth Lakes; 3 hours from Las Vegas; 4 hours from Lake Tahoe. The elevation is 5,600 feet so it's cooler here. The sights of historic Goldfield are a bonus! Private deck in back with view of the historic gold mining district of Goldfield, Nevada. Grill with picnic table and chairs on deck. Full kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. Central air conditioning and heating. Pet friendly. The yard is fenced and your dog may stay in the yard during the day - though there is wildlife at night and you should keep your pet indoors after dark. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 5. A high chair is available a no extra charge. The maximum number of people is 5. A baby under 1 year can be a 6th, but there is no crib. Stargazing in Goldfield is excellent on a clear night with no moon. Bring your telescope (and warm jacket, as nights can be chilly, even in the summer). Goldfield is at an elevation of 5,600 feet and is typically 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. You can take tours of the historic district or the mining areas, shop for antiques or unique collectibles, hike, go off-roading or even pan for gold! Goldfield is a remote location, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, but easy to get to - U.S. Highway 95, the main road between Las Vegas and Reno, goes right through Goldfield. It is the halfway point between Las Vegas and the east entrance of Yosemite (Tioga Pass).
The town is known for its peace and quiet. Get away from hustle and bustle of the cities to relax and enjoy the tranquil silence. Stargazing at night is at the world-class level, with 7,000 stars visible on a clear night. This house is located just 3 blocks from the historic downtown core of Goldfield, Nevada, site of America's last gold rush and the world's greatest gold camp. The world-famous Goldfield Hotel, believed to be the residence of over 100 ghosts, is an easy 5-block walk from the house. You're welcome to live it up at the hotel, as long as you are dead. Since the end of World War II, only ghosts are allowed into the hotel. Also nearby is the haunted Goldfield High School, the historic and beautiful court house building, a 105-year-old saloon, and many other historic sites and buildings. Pick up a free walking tour booklet from the Goldfield Historical Society. A basic guide to Goldfield is in the house for you, and a DVD about the history of the area is here for you to watch.
  • Amazing place to stay!!! Bob is very nice and friendly! We really enjoy staying here~~~

  • Awesome town, even a more awesome place to stay! I received so much information when I booked about the history of the town, when we got there, Bob greeted us at the door, even baked cookies for us! It was so clean and so fresh, such a cute house to stay in!

  • Gold Country Hideaway was the perfect place to stretch out and relax. The host was amazing with his communication and gave us very detailed local tips which helped us very much. The house is better than described! Its so spacious with a split floor plan (master bedroom & bathroom on one side) with the other two bedrooms and bathrooms on the other side. The living area was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen/dining area had everything you could need. There was a back door that exited onto a nice back porch with comfortable seating and a gas grill. The front porch also had seating where you could enjoy the views. The small town of Goldfield was within walking distance and you must try "Dinky's Diner". My son said it was the best pancakes he's ever had! All in all, our trip was amazing and we hope to be back! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gold Country Hideaway to anyone just passing through or those enjoying all that Nevada has to offer!

  • What a treat to stay here on our way home. It was the last stop on a 9 day road trip across the Great Basin and southern Utah and it was one of the best. Definitely worth the drive down from Tonapah for the superb accommodations - clean, comfortable and well appointed. Bob was a great host, provided great instructions and tips about Goldfield. We cooked a nice meal and ate out on the back deck. Very pleasant. Only thing we were sorry about was that we were only there for one night!

    Melanie2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for our family when we were in town for a wedding. The groom, who lives in Goldfield, said he thought that Bob's house is probably the nicest house in the whole town! We found the house just like the pictures in the listing. This is my first time using airbnb, and Bob was the perfect host; he seems to have thought of everything. We really enjoyed having morning coffee on the little back deck and watching the plentiful birds in the little fruit trees. Even though we didn't bring our own pets, the house is clearly pet-friendly. Who would have thought that we'd see so many jackrabbits! Goldfield is charming and we are planning a return visit. Next time we'll leave the rest of the family at home and just enjoy the town and Bob's home by ourselves!

    Tom2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. It was so quiet. Coming from Vegas it was amazing the amount of wildlife you hear at night. The house was cozy and homey. Bob was great and gave us tips on sights nearby which was why we were in town. We had a great short trip and a great place to crash at. Don't cheap out when you can grab this place and cook for yourself. Well stocked kitchen and good appliances. We enjoyed making dinner and breakfast versus eating fast food.

  • We stopped here on our way to visit Death Valley National Park, which is nearby. The drive to/from is breathtaking! The home is comfortable, tidy and exactly as shown. We were delighted by the thoughtful gestures from our host (fresh flowers and sweet treats!) and enjoyed our stay. The town of Goldfield is eclectic and unusual in a neat, fun way - definitely worth a look if you like something different!

    Russi2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bob was wonderful! He had lots of info on area excursions and interesting things to see. He met us with the key and had left by homemade cookies for us to snack on, which was awesome after a long trip. Bob's place was convenient to town. Bob was very quick to respond to any questions we had. His home was a perfect place for our trip with our In Laws!
