A charming little newly renovated Bothy with beautiful interior. Kitchen and dining area downstairs with woodburning stove. Bathroom also downstairs with shower cubicle. Upstairs is a cozy loft style bedroom with quite low ceilings so for the taller guests...please mind your heads when climbing into bed! :-) **OUTSIDE SEATING AREA COMING SOON WITH BBQ AND FIREPIT...WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM MAY 2020**
This is a traditional 'Bothy' located in a secluded and very picturesque rural area. We are easily accesible from the Main Route East to West off the A85. Approx half way between Perth and market town of Crieff. We are situated near the Gorthy Woods where there are beautiful walks and pony trekking. Bikers very welcome - indoor bike parking and drying facilities for wet gear also available. Our closest village of Methven (4 miles away) offers a convenience store, post office, indian restaurant, chinese take away and pub.
A very tranquil and scenic area. Peaceful with fresh air and minimal traffic. A beautiful taste of Scottish countryside.

  • Laura was a great host. She replied to our request within minutes and provided accurate directions to get to her home. The bothy was warm and quaint! There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and all utensils and amenities included. The cottage was sparkling clean and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. A wonderful country retreat if you're looking to get away from the big smoke for the night. Would highly recommend to all!

  • 15min from Crieff, a lovely hut in the middle of the fields, very quiet. The interior is very well decorated and comfortable. Possibility of a fire, and even in August it is useful! • If you really want to get away from the internet and from the hustle and bustle, Hedas Hütte is the place for you. There is a small solar system that provides light in the evening otherwise you can think back to something and with the most necessary clear. For us as a family it was a great time. We will be back.

  • Amazing location- views of mountains+ estate with pheasant's and sheep. Great simple facilities for a family of 5 for 7 nights. Drummond castle gardens lovely. Perth swimming pool best our family have enjoyed. Washing machine and tumble dryer greatly used and appreciated. Fun cooking on a old fashioned wood burning stove. 3 kids enjoyed 'driving' on estate roads. Nice to be off grid.

    John2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The small hut amidst sheep pastures was exactly what we were looking for after the hustle and bustle in Edinburgh. Everything was quaint, simply furnished, yet with lovely details provided by Heda. We are happy to come back!

    Nevin2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is off grid and remote. The silence at night is incredible! The cabin has running water which is not drinkable but works for toilet and dish washing. The beds are good and were clean. What we liked most was the wood burning oven/stove! This makes the feeling of being off grid even more authentic. (Although there is a propane stove available) All in all very recommended!

    Marcel2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the warm welcome in that very special place! We had everything we needed and more. The fire was lit and it was very cosy. We could ask everything and got excellent tips for trips in the beautiful countryside. We had a great time!!!

    Anna-Lena2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy, comfy space with views on all 4 sides. We enjoyed being off grid and it was lovely to sit round the wood stove. Heda is a great host and was wonderful at suggesting local walks. It's worth taking hot water bottles as it gets chilly in the small hours.

  • It is a nice space, Dina arranged an extra mattress for my 6 year old son and he slept great! :) Everything was very clean, sheets and bedding very fresh. Dina left some milk and bread in the refrigerator and also some fresh fruit, yoghurt and granola. Cereals for the kids, cookies and snacks. Coffees and teas available. So we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Great stay! Great value for money! Thanks Dina!

  • Couldn't recommend this holiday cottage enough. All the little touches made you feel so looked after and made the experience extra special. The food I ordered was delicious! You have to order the brownie! The cottage had a real sense of luxury and they really had thought of everything. Very enjoyable stay for me and my dog.

Situated at the quiet end of a residential street, with woodland at the back, the house boasts a huge garden and modern comforts of a home from home. Cheerful in its decor, with a conservatory dining area, and lots of books to browse. Free wifi , and a TV and DVD player. The area is ideal for walking and golf ( Glaneagles and St Andrews not far away, and Crieff golf course is a few minutes walk away), Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Dundee are about an hour by car, and Oban and Inverness 2 hours .
Cosy and colourful with a few quirks. The garden is a bit big to keep on top of all the time so may need a trim. Bathroom is downstairs & bedrooms upstairs.
Fairly quiet and peaceful, it is two miles out of Crieff and neighbours are friendly but not intrusive. it is near the 15 bus route to Perth. The nearest shops, bars and restaurants are a short drive away in Crieff. The restaurants are varied and mostly good. Parking is available outside the house.
  • Helen is a brilliant host, dead responsive to messages, lots of recommendations for things to do before hand. Nice and central so good access for different places like Stirling and Perth. House was cosy and comfortable, lots of amenities, nice neighbours with a friendly dog. Really enjoyed the stay 😊

  • A very comfy stay for the week at Helen's house. Nestled away at the end of the road. Plenty of parking space. The house has everything you could need, even an electronic organ 😉. I would certainly go back in a heartbeat 👍🏼. Thanks Helen.

A top quality and stylish refurbishment of an 1895 cottage, with hot tub and tennis court. Family and pet friendly, but also comfortable and filled with high quality furnishings. In the center of Scotland, the town of Perth is only 20 mins away, with a hospital, theatre, concert hall and a good mix of national and independent retail. We have 4 whisky distilleries and 6 castles all within 1 hour drive. There are beautiful hill walks close by, and a river at the bottom of the garden.
Treat yourself at Logie Cottages: we provide soft fluffy towels and complimentary spa slippers to go from the house to the cottage. We can sleep 6 adults, plus a child, plus a baby. But if you are just 2 people, it will still feel cosy and romantic. We provide logs for the fire, there is new central heating throughout and underfloor heating in the bathrooms. We have a traditional pub in the village just 8 minutes walk or 2 minutes in the car, which serves simple home made food Friday-Sunday. There is great biking round here, both off and on road and wonderful walks.
In the center of Scotland, the city of Perth is only 20 mins away, with a hospital, theatre, concert hall and a good mix of national and independent retail. There is also the ancient royal town of Dunkeld only 20 minutes away, with artisan bakeries and a deli. We have 4 whisky distilleries and 6 castles all within 1 hour drive. There are beautiful hill walks close by, and a river at the bottom of the garden.
  • The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed for our short stay. The house was beautifully clean on arrival. Check in and check out was smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • Such a gorgeous cottage. Had a lovely weekend with friends and can’t wait to go back!

    Emma2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina was a brilliant host, explaining everthing to us so there was no issues. She even wrote us a hand drawn map for our walk, which was lovely . We were also able to check out later which made our stay 10x more relaxing. The house was really well decorated and homeley and the hottub was wonderful. We even had a wee peacock pal come and say hello to us! The small touches really made it- having a full spice rack meant cooking for 4 friends had all the flavour of home. Great value for money- fantastic weekend.

    Rebecca2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed if visit Logie Cottage, Georgina made us feel very welcome on arrival and the cottage itself is exactly as described and very homely and cosy. The hot tub is a big plus and we all enjoyed having fun in the tennis court :) The setting is beautiful and so relaxing and we will definitely be visiting again sometime in the future.

    Carl2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I met for a weekend reunion. The cottage is immaculate and you have everything you need and more! We had a great time and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Georgina 😊

  • This is a beautiful decorated cottage in stunning countryside and we really enjoyed our time there. My teenage children especially loved the hot tub! The robes and slippers in each bedroom were a lovely touch. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break, but is easy driving distance to shops and places to visit. I’d definitely visit again and Georgina is a great host

    Phillippa2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was a real find. Beautiful location, cosy, well equipped, lots of thoughtful extras and super comfy beds. Fab hot tub, tennis court and resident Peacock, Albert! We loved the garden, peace and tranquility. Kids loved snuggling on the sofas with board games and Netflix on rainy days. Georgina was super host checking we had everything we needed, even grabbed some bits from the shop for us, and gave us recommendations of places to visit. We’ll definitely be back!

    Natasha2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend in this lodge! It is even more beautiful than what you see in the pictures. Georgina is incredibly friendly and organised, providing timely communication and instruction before check in. The house is incredibly clean, and furnished to a very high standard. The hot tub was a lovely addition, and as we had poor weather we spent most of our time in the sheltered area. We also enjoyed the company of the pet peacock!

The property feels like it is new. The open living / kitchen / dining is great for 10 people. All amenities in the kitchen are clean. The fireplace in the centre of the open plan area is a great touch. All bedrooms are large and immaculate, and all with en-suites, which are also crisp, modern, and with premium toiletries. • Elizabeth’s place was everything my family and I needed. We were first welcomed by both Elizabeth and Tony. They showed us everything we needed to know. The house was sparkling clean, had thoughtful touches such as milk, eggs, butter and cereal in the cupboards, and must I say, the beds were amazing. We had no problems at all with communication or with the Airbnb itself and check out was a breeze. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to see a few places in Scotland so it was a great middle place. I would recommend Elizabeth’s place to those who want to explore more of Scotland than just Edinburgh. Thank you once again Elizabeth

This stunning gatehouse has been tastefully renovated in 2017 and is in the middle of our picturesque 4,000 acre estate. It is deceptively large and comfortably sleeps four people with two bathrooms. A perfect base to explore the highlands and cities of Scotland (Edinburgh and Glasgow one hour drive, Stirling 40 minutes, Highlands, 5 minutes). Search our profile to see our continuous 5* reviews.
Downstairs the octagonal living room leads onto a dining room with kitchen, and a shower room. There are two staircases, one an original stone spiral, and upstairs one bedroom has a king size, and the other a zip-link bed (twin or super-king). Let us know if you would like for them to be together or separate and we will prepare them in whichever way you wish. These rooms are joined by a Jack and Jill bathroom, which has an Edwardian slipper bath! There is an extensive garden on the other side of the arch, bounded by two streams, with outdoor furniture. There is an oil fired boiler in the cottage which provides central heating and hot water. We supply tea and coffee, herbs and spices, salt and pepper, olive oil and a few other emergency supplies. We also supply dishwasher and washing tablets, washing up liquid, hand soap in all bathrooms and White Company toiletries (shampoo, shower gel and body lotion). There is bike storage if you require it, in the shed behind the gatehouse. The cottage accommodates four people with two bedrooms upstairs. The cottage may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or small children. All bed linen and towels are provided. The spacious sitting room is warm and comfortable with an open fire and a supply of logs. The fully fitted kitchen and dining area is bright and spacious with everything you will need – an electric cooker, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer and dishwasher and washing machine. Wifi is provided and there is a phone for emergency use, just in case you don't get mobile reception.
The cottage is located four miles from the town of Crieff, which has some fabulous independent shops and restaurants. We are an hour from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Stirling castle, 10 minutes from Drummond Castle Gardens and five minutes before you are in the Highlands. You can see the stunning mountain ranges from your garden. Many of our guests recover from jet lag in the cottage and take walks in the beautiful surroundings of Monzie. Staying in our cottages you are lucky enough to have 4,000 acres at your fingertips to explore and enjoy. You will find ancient standing stones, stone circles, follies and an abundance of wildlife within walking distance and enough to do to entertain a week's stay without leaving if you wish to!
  • This was a great place to go for some peace and quiet

    Hugh2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This house is actually the gateway to a beautiful property located in a magical place in the Scottish countryside 5 minutes from Crieff. Alexandra and her husband are lovely. The house is immaculate and well equipped, furnished with great taste. The only downside is the stay. It is charming in appearance but in fact, in November, it is cold because the chimney does not close and sucks all the hot air. You can not always make a fire and keep it active to keep you warm. In addition, 2 of the 3 windows of the stay overlooks the small road, not very busy it's true, but we see and hear the cars. We also had a heating problem that stopped every night. We were cold. Other than that, the house is really lovely and the countryside around beautiful. The welcome is very friendly, with a bottle of wine and delicious brownies. I recommend this place

    Géraldine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend Alexandra's place to everyone. We had a fantastic time from the moment we arrived. Bottle of wine and some brownies waiting for us on arrival and we had an great time exploring the surrounding countryside. Thanks!

This has a large walk in shower, double basins and loo in the en suite. The Coop sleeps one with a shower and loo in the en suite and great views to the East. Burmieston is close to Perth, Scone Palace, Dunkeld, and Crieff. We are about an hour and a half from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are in a bit of a secret glen. There are very few cars, just the occasional tractor. Yet we are close to the fabulous golf courses around Auchterarder such as Gleneagles, as well as the tourist attractions of Scone Palace, Dunkeld and Birnam and Crieff. Blair Castle at Blair Atholl and Pitlochry are also great options for day trips.
  • We stayed at Keesje and Olly’s place for new year as a group of 10. It was the perfect location to bring in the new year! Olly was waiting on us arriving so check-in was seamlessly easy. The property is split across various converted farm buildings so each couple had their own space but we were all very close to one another. The courtyard is also a great space for large groups to hang out in, and if the night is clear you may see a shooting star or two! All in all a great trip and would stay again!

  • We spend a weekend at Burmieston in November to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday with some friends. There were 9 adults and 3 children altogether. It was absolutely perfect, Olly was really welcoming. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are warm and the showers are awesome. The place is full of beautiful details, you can tell how much love and care has gone into the renovations. I will definitely return.

  • booked as a family weekend getaway, everyone loved the quirky features in each room. the living space was nice and cosy, shame about the weather or we would have made use of the outside space more. host were welcoming and really helpful before and during booking. we ate at the chapelhill inn one night which was delicious (10% off when staying at Burmieston), cheats it's outside appearance! Also booked the Escape Barn with Drew which was great fun. thoroughly challenged our brains!

Great to get away from the city and back to nature. Keesje and Olly were extremely helpful. We even got to plant a tree. Will definitely be back. Thank you both so much.

Spacious and very comfortable 4-bedroom country cottage, sleeping up to 5 with 3 bathrooms. Great for families, groups of friends and intergenerational groups who may need ground floor bedroom and shower room. Pet-friendly too! The country cottage offers spectacular views over the Strathearn valley and beyond, with walks from the door. Enjoying an elevated position, set among fields, yet only a five minute drive to Crieff with its shops, restaurants and attractions.
Very spacious cottage over two floors with lovely large, yet homely living spaces. With one double room and three single rooms, one of which is on the ground floor, the cottage is perfect for a family or small group of friends. The benefit of a ground floor shower room makes it easy for anyone with mobility issues to stay with their friends or family. The cottage is well-equipped with all mod cons and the kitchen provides ample seating and cooking facilities for you to enjoy time together. As the property has been renovated recently, it is well insulated and very cosy, with an open wood fire to enjoy in the evenings. You will find a DVD library and holiday reads as well as toys and board games to entertain everyone. The extensive views surrounding the cottage are of beautiful fields and hills but we are closeby and on hand 24/7, should you require any assistance. For guests staying a week or more we offer a private tour of Monzie Castle and our own 1950's Hydro Electric power station. For guests staying for shorter periods, we will do our best to accommodate a tour, subject to availability (we work full time and have a baby) and appreciate your flexibility and understanding! Enjoy the truly spectacular views from all windows which have inspired many artists, or sit outside in the pretty, enclosed cottage garden and soak up the fresh country air. Walks straight from the door. Close to Crieff and tourist attractions.
Fresh air, spectacular views from all angles. Long days in the summer, often only a few hours of complete darkness. Cosy nights and clear days in the winter. A winter wonderland in the snow.
  • Lovely accommodation, great little welcome extras too 😊 Alexandra was very helpful as we arrived in the dark, easy to find the cottage and check in once I made sure we were at the correct property. Nice big communal space for all the family to eat together and relax together. Great little break away! 😊

  • I have recently returned from a 2 night stay at Alexandra's place with 3 friends. We used the cottage as a base for hill walking and found the place to be perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed as well as the nice touch of a coffee maker which went down well. Cottage was a good size and meant we all had a bed each as well as 3 toilets. Less that 5 mins drive into Crieff for supplys or a meal. Great views out the front. Lovely touch with a bottle of wine and homemade brownie upon our arrival when we were shown around. Would definitely return. Thanks.

  • The house was great. It was conveniently located near Crieff and we used it as our base for a week of exploring castles in Scotland. Large house for 3 adults and a baby. Fireplace was an added bonus after a long day. Alexandra greeted us upon arrival and gave us a private tour of the Monzie Castle. Will recommend to our friends.
