Places to stay in Glen Ellen

Places to stay in Glen Ellen
Crow Cottage is newly rebuilt and decorated in an eclectic whimsical style by the artist owners. It is light and airy with a private shade deck and sunny patio. The Cottage has a queen bed. There is no air conditioning but it's very well insulated so it doesn't get too hot in the summer. There is a fan. Set on a country lane just a 3 min walk to 3 great restaurants & gourmet market. While we do have rescued cats in our yard we don't let them in any of the rooms. If highly allergic, reconsider.
The cottage has character and color. It is further enhanced by the original art by John which is placed throughout. It is surrounded by private green areas. At times it is rather crittery around here ,watching the birds and squirrels from the shade deck is fun. Raccoons, skunks and possums cruise through now and then. The cats wander here and there in the yard. The location is exceptional. You are in a country setting yet just a stroll down the lane gets you to great restaurants. The Glen Ellen Inn is cozy and excellent . Enjoy the free corkage at the Fig Cafe. The Glen Ellen Star is very popular. Have all the wine you want, walk back down the lane No worries ! There is a hair dryer and iron. Ironing board is built into the bedroom wall. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet, electric kettle, hot plate, coffee maker, dishes and utensiles full size sink and fridge, plus a dish washer.
Nearby is Jack London State park which is incredibly fascinating with more buildings open than ever before. Glen Ellen is right next to Kenwood which is also great to explore, aside from outstanding wineries there is the Sugarloaf Park observatory where you can be free of lights and look through their telescopes with the docent astronomers. A jeep tour company is based in Glen Ellen which is a lot of fun and reasonably priced. They will even take you out to the Pacific Ocean . Open Air Jeep Tours (URL HIDDEN)
  • Incredible is an understatement. This beautifully whimsical cottage is a fairy tail dream come true. Della and John were such a joy and even let us stay past our check out time for no cost! Clean, cozy and relaxing! Will be booking again with no doubt!

Lovely place to get away from the world--just buy Sonoma wine and drink it in this space, no winery visits required!

  • The accommodations were exactly as described! The house is close to some of the best restaurants and vineyards while being tucked away in a serene hideaway. We had a wonderful girl's weekend relaxing on the porch, walking around the grounds, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Communication was top notch and we arrived to a cozy and inviting house with the fireplace already lit and ready to enjoy. This home is definitely worth the price and we look forward to coming back again!

  • This place is one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. Great hosts, great stylish home. The land was gorgeous and you got a great feeling of being unplugged but still close to everything.

    Marian2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The most beautiful and tranquil home. Everything was super well communicated throughout our stay and the hosts were amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better home to spend time with old friends. Highly recommend. :)

  • Having travelled to Japan for work on dozens of occasions, I can testify that this place feels very much like the real thing. The architecture, decor and lighting, atmosphere and general surroundings are indeed very zen! We walked on the property and ran into a dozen deer as well as a large group of wild turkeys. The beds were very comfortable, the house is immaculate, everything was perfect. Thanks Greg for letting us stay there!

    Marc2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and Greg and Adrienne's listing is by far one of the most beautiful and stylish homes I've ever seen. As hosts, they were extremely communicative and hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. From helping us find food the first night (and ensuring we had safe transportation as we were on a motorcycle), to giving us excellent local recommendations and even taking my boyfriend out on a boat trip days later - I cannot speak more highly of their hospitality and warm nature as hosts and people! Thank you both and back scratches and belly rubs to adorable Pepe!

Beautiful and large cabin on 50+ acres at the top of the mountain range that separates Sonoma & Napa valleys. Enjoy a loft bedroom, full bathroom, hiking trails, and an amazing deck (over 1000 sq feet) with mountain top views!
The cabin is a full size cabin with loft bedroom and private bathroom that offers a perfect getaway for two or even more. The cabin offers amazing views from the deck of Sonoma Valley and has amazing sunset views. Enjoy a glass of wine while walking through the orchard, picking fruit, or enjoying vegetables from one of our gardens. The cabin is well lit up with double sliding glass doors and a custom piece of redwood which provides a beautiful bar for drinks or a bite to eat. Enjoy the over sized deck which wraps around the cabin and offers beautiful views of Sonoma Valley & the sunset. The back deck is over-sized and just off the back deck there are 20+ fruit trees full of pears, nectarines, plums, and apples. Guests are welcome to take home as much fruit as they can when it is blossoming during the summer.
The neighborhood is very unique in that we don't have neighbors. The cabin is located at the top of a road full of curves (over 5 miles up Cavedale) and amazing views of the bay area. Be sure to drive safe and enjoy some of the beautiful views on your way to Rancho Relaxo.
  • Absolutely loved this little getaway space. It was very clean, so cute, and so cozy! It made the perfect place to come back to after a day in town. Will definitely be returning! 😊

  • The house is super good and the view is super good. And very quiet place. And the house holder helped us a lot thank u a lot. But the road to the house indeed narrow. Our car had a little problem on the road which caused problems. Wish the guests in the future take care of their cars on the way to the house.

My house was built in 1924, and has a sweet feel with its high white wooden ceilings and artistic/rustic decor and architecture. There's a porch to sit on and watch the world walk to work at the Sonoma Mission Inn, just across the street. Spacious kitchen and bathroom--shared with me. The small, cozy guest room has a fabulously comfortable bed (queen), and eclectic appointments. The bathroom is roomy with more eclectic touches plus all the basics functioning well (no tub though). During your stay you can explore the Sonoma Valley wine country, the town of Sonoma, or just the neighborhood, which is loaded with restaurants and shops and some fabulous street food, You're welcome to use the big sunny kitchen (there will always be excellent coffee to brew up). This is a terrific walking neighborhood. This house is a half hour away from Santa Rosa or Petaluma, about five minutes to the town Plaza, and an hour to San Francisco.
Being right behind Sonoma Mission Inn on a quiet, tree-lined street, you're within a couple blocks of GREAT breakfast and lunch at Creekside, fabulous coffee at the Barking Dog, mineral-water swimming pool down the street, El Molino Central two blocks away...walking is easy always interesting. Boyes Springs is rich with Latino food, music and families.
  • My husband, myself, and our pup Frankie stayed with Kathy for a night and had a wonderful time. She's a 5min drive to the main shops and restaurants in Sonoma, but a quick walk to a coffee shop and a few other stores and restaurants including a natural ice cream place that is absolutely amazing (get the coconut/pineapple!) Her place was clean, spacious, and perfect. The back yard is just beautiful. We also had great conversation the next morning. Will def stay here next time we're in town!

    Lauren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn warmly welcomes you with style and warmth to her beautiful vintage cottage in a premium Sonoma location with amazing communication about the local music, food, and other tips. Her local knowledge beforehand was incredibly helpful and made our sister weekend a hundred times more enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable with gorgeous linens and everything available for comforts away from home for a traveler. Highly Recommend.

    Ed & Di2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn’s place is a cute little oasis with lots of trees and plants and flowers in the yard. It’s a perfect base camp to enjoy what the area has to offer.

    Lawrence2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kathryn house is very charming, cozy, and location is excellent if you want to be close to restaurants and the wineries. Her recommendations about bars and wineries were very good. She is an excellent host. I recommend Kathryn's house!

Enjoy the beautiful wooded area and our family owned historic cabin. Our gas fireplace, hot spa, fine bedding, and high speed wi-fi await. We're 10 min from wineries/dining in Kenwood and Glen Ellen in the heart of Sonoma Valley, adjacent to Napa Valley, with fantastic wineries, restaurants, breweries and 4 state parks with a free pass! We have ample elec. outlets, condiments, bottled water, hot beverage options, maps/guidebooks and more. We welcome friendly people of all backgrounds.
Our place is not a luxury property as some others are, rather, it's a relaxing "old time" camp feeling. Our family has cherished this property since before the turn of the century. The cabin is located in our backyard, 30 feet from our house, separated by a courtyard which is shared. You may see us in the backyard, gardening, dining, etc, but in our space or the shared area. ....You'll have a keyless code, tons of elec. outlets, Wi-fi, Roku for Netflix etc, Bose bluetooth/wired player for music. ....Phone service: ATT cell service works (other providers will have a weaker signal here) but we are out in the (Wine) country so make sure to check in our wi-fi for your texting, etc. ....Kitchen: It's a small but complete with: range, full size fridge, microwave, pots and pans, bake ware, blender, popcorn popper, knives, peelers, spices, condiments, napkins, paper towels, even "to go" coffee cups and bottled water. Lots of silverware and plates/bowls/glasses. Gas grill on deck is ready for your exclusive use. ....Spa: It's clean and hot and has instructions attached. ....Beds: a queen mattress, high count cotton sheets. 2nd bed is a (click-clack type) double futon sleeper sofa in the same room that can accommodate 2 more small or medium sized adults or children. If you have booked 3 or more people, I will have the sleeper sofa made up for sleeping when you arrive. If you have just 2 people and need both beds made up, please tell me in advance, otherwise I will assume you are sharing the bed and would like to retain the use of the couch as a couch. ....Heat and cooling: Gas free standing fireplace and a ceiling fan warm and cool you in our wine country climate. ....Bathroom: The outdoor (only) shower is 100% private, closed in, and accessed through the bathroom (not the yard). Its warm while you are showering. The original "bathroom" sink is located in the bedroom, as was common a hundred years ago. Luggage rack/freestanding closet with hangers is provided. ....Dining: Eat outside at the patio table on your deck or there is a small table inside the unit for dining inside. ....Outdoor Seating: There is the old fashioned padded swing seat adjacent to the spa, the outdoor dining table and chairs, and you may sit at our covered outdoor couch area if you feel like socializing as this is a shared area. ....Going hiking? We've got the maps and books to guide you! Free parking and tons of hiking at all state parks in the area with our parking pass plus borrow our backpack style picnic "basket". We've pre-loaded it with plates, napkins, small knife, cutting board, etc, everything you need to make a picnic out of yummy local food finds. We'd love to give you tips about where to go and trail maps/book are in the cabin. ....Night time: Our yard is well lit for night time enjoyment. Ping-pong table in shared portion of the back yard. Main overhead outdoor light switch is to the left of the cabin door cabin door. ....Summer only: Morton's Warm Springs is a pool and picnic grounds next door to us. You may hear a few swimmers and their picnicking during the day. Visit Mortons to cool off or just stroll the grounds along the creek, all with our included cabin pass at no charge. Hours: May and Sept: open weekends and holidays, June, July, August open Tuesday thru Sunday. 10 am to 6 pm.
We are located in the beautiful rural premium wine growing area of Sonoma Valley and are close to 4 state parks that are great for hikes and walks and we have a free parking pass for you: Jack London, Sugarloaf, Annadel and Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Preserve. We live in a wooded area near a creek on a country road that is popular for cycling and walks. Beautiful woods and wildlife are abundant. Deer, turkeys, hawks, squirrel, and more might be seen daily. In your room you will find a short list of great restaurants and wineries and breweries nearby. We have lived here for 30 years and are happy to give more suggestions too!
  • Beautiful, clean cabin overlooking the woods with great amenities. Diana makes the experience very personalized and has all the great local tips. Highly recommend!

  • This place is magical! From the minute you enter the space, you can definitely feel how much work went into making the whole place unique and cozy. The cabin is well-stocked, the amenities are perfect, and the hosts go out of their way to make sure your stay is special. Would love to stay here again.

    Alexander2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

    Bailey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! Such a peaceful airbnb and the perfect distance to every winery/good food. Diana was an incredible host!! So friendly and helpful. Would love to come back! PS. the kitchen has everything you’d ever need and the outdoor shower is amazing.

    Christiana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I were seeking a few days of quiet outside of the City and Diana and Charles's spot exceeded those needs. Fresh air, a beautiful creekside setting and all the comforts we needed to recharge our batteries. The family takes pride in their property and strive to make their guests feel comfortable. The cabin and hot tub were clean and the outdoor shower a nice tough to revive after a soak. We were new to exploring the area and appreciated the use of the park pass to visit Jack London park as well as Diana's guide to local shops and restaurants. We'd certainly recommend for anyone else looking for a quiet, relaxing recharge just a short drive from San Francisco.

    Holly2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin provided us with the perfect little getaway. Not only was the cabin sparkling clean, but it was well stocked with everything a traveler could want. The Orchard Lodge is renowned in Sonoma for its beauty - an ideal getaway for groups with a gourmet kitchen, large dining area and open floor plan with fireplaces - including 50+ acres of hiking trails, a meditation & yoga platform, amazing views, a large fish pond and smaller koi pond. Sitting on top of Mt. Veeder, it provides stunning views over Sonoma valley. It is an iconic wood lodge with a rich history, but modernized with a large kitchen full of high end appliances. TOT #936N
At the peak of Mt. Veeder, The Orchard Lodge sits in a sunny meadow surrounded by acres of forest land, seasonal creeks, and a beautiful pond. The house is a gorgeous retreat with 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, 5 fireplaces, and an open floor plan on the first floor. Most bedrooms open up on to the wraparound deck or garden and all have attached baths. There are three bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom with a queen bed, and one bedroom with two single beds. If needed, there are additional single beds that can be prepared and setup in any room. The main room has a large dining area plus a spacious, gourmet kitchen surrounded by a redwood bar. With several seating nooks and 2 fireplaces, it is a great spot to relax with friends or family. And just outside, the terraced garden features a koi pond, large BBQ grill and outdoor dining area. A short walk from the house sits a meditation/yoga platform that doubles as an ideal spot to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. And several hiking trails lead from the house around the pond or into the woods and across the property.
The neighborhood is very remote with not many neighbors around. The property is on 45 acres and the property manager is on the parcel about 1/2 mile away to assist as needed. We respect our neighbors by not using amplified outside and following the county rules for quiet hours after 10pm.
  • Third time I've stayed here, and that's not a coincidence. What I like most is the secluded location, amidst nature, but not too far from Sonoma Valley, and the "Swiss Chalet" style of the house. Our stay was overshadowed by the Corona Crisis, which left us (Europeans) uncertain of when and how we would be able to return back home. Preston, who was joining us for a couple of beers, was very supportive in that situation and offered us, to lengthen our stay at a reduced rate, should we have get stuck there. We did eventually make it back to Europe, but we did appreciate the support.

    Benedikt2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • What we liked best about The Orchard: stunning grounds, delightful nature walks, gorgeous open-concept layout to accommodate our large gathering, thoughtful touches throughout the house including a very well-equipped kitchen... Very comfortable beds and bedrooms, too. We hope to return! It was an amazing place to spend a weekend with friends. Highly recommend!

    Roxane2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very unique house. Comfortable for 11 people. We hosted a team off-site and it was perfect for that.

    Josh2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Everything you need for a secluded break away, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. Piano, guitar, great amenities, amply stocked with different coffees, a variety of teas and all the herbs and spices you can think of. It was wet and cold and we decided that the cabin was the most likeable place in the area that we would like to be. We had a great time in this enormously large house. The narrow, sometimes steep and winding road added to the special and private ambiance.

    Leo2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful house surrounded by beautiful scenery. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

    Julia2019-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the views from the mountain & the lodge was the perfect place for us to relax. Cozy & rustic, near town, and with great hospitality!!

  • Perfect location, great communication and local tips. Amongst the craziness it was a wonderful getaway!

  • Very cute little cottage surrounded by gorgeous nature. We loved the bed, it was very comfortable, the place was really clean and stocked well if you wanted to do any of your own cooking. It’s super close to the little downtown where there is a great market, a French bakery, lots of wine tasting and restaurants and very friendly people!

    Kat2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredibly cute place! From the big comfy bed to the short walk to town to the lovely shower and bathtub, we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for hosting us!!

  • Great place to stay in the fantastic little town of Glen Ellen

    Chris2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • I wanted a cozy cottage close to downtown Glen Ellen, and this is exactly what I got. The cottage is about a 5 min walk to downtown where I was able to pick up delicious eats for a late lunch. The place itself was super clean, had a kettle for making tea/coffee and essential kitchen ware to make a meal. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable and the large soaking tub was a lovely touch. I hope to come back to Glen Ellen again and stay at this comfy cottage.

    Yesenia2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This location is truly a haven. It was the ultimate place for me to find the peace and space to delve inward after a weeklong meditation. Its proximity to luscious, beautiful hiking trails is a tremendous bonus -with Jack London Park/ranch within walking distance, and a Napa/ wine country experience just a short drive away. I cannot recommend this location, or Constance, her husband and their sweet tempered kittens enough!

Perched on the bank of the Sonoma Creek this apartment strikes a balance between small town charm, a bit of nature, and accessibility to incredible wineries. Sitting on the back porch while popping open a bottle of wine as the sun sets, your main squeeze in your arms, and maybe see some otters paddling by makes this place special. We offer a clean, cute accommodation and simple bliss. My wife and I live on the property and we love to meet you, share a drink, and spill all the local secret gems.
At 525 SqFt the apartment perfect for two. We've converted the smaller bedroom into an office should you need it, with rather swift wifi I should add.

Private entry room & bath w/ king size bed. It is the only bedroom on the lower level of the house. The room is large and light. Decorated with a fanciful flair. Set on a country lane, just a 3 min walk to restaurants, tasting rooms & market. Please note that we have a few rescued cats in our yard. Though we don't allow them in the room they do get around the property. If you are highly allergic maybe you should consider this.
Badger's Den has a collage of interior decor that creates an atmosphere that is very unique and inviting. The king size bed is a natural latex mattress and real comfy. A small flat screen TV with all the channels is on the wall at the foot of bed. There is a hair dryer iron & board, microwave, purple fridge, coffee maker, electric kettle, dishware & cutlery. The yard can be crittery at times with possums, skunks & racoons cruising through. The location is exceptional. It is a country setting yet just a 3 minute stroll down the lane gets you to excellent restaurants. The Glen Ellen Inn is wonderful. Enjoy free corkage at the Fig Cafe, a lively bistro. The Glen Ellen Star is extremely popular. Have all the wine you want and walk back down the lane to a big welcoming bed.
A woodsy country area with lots of history, just down the hill from Jack London Park, which is very interesting and beautiful. Glen Ellen is next door to Kenwood, which has beautiful vineyard views and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Between the two towns there are loads of great wineries. If you wish to visit the town of Sonoma, it is only a 15 min. drive.
  • This was such a lovely stay! I'll definitely be looking into staying again another time.

  • It’s always a pleasure to stay with John and Della. The Badger Den is cozy, clean and comfortable. Definitely my go to whenever I stay in beautiful Glen Ellen. The location is perfect and the price is excellent for the space. I highly recommend staying there.

  • Don’t overlook this little gem... ideal little getaway

    Gina2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Badger's Den was fantastic! The description is very accurate, but it underrates the decor. I thought it might be too much with all the decorations, but we both loved it! Every piece of furniture/art is interesting and beautiful with an overall sense of humor and whimsy. The color palette of the space - with the walls, the furniture and decor, was bright in a cheerful way - not overbearing. We found the variety of art to look at was wonderful and very unusual. Other things to note: The king sized bed was very comfortable, the skylights and windows make things very light, and the space was quite adequate for the two of us. The coffee provided was very good quality and there was organic milk in the frig. The smell of the room is fresh and clean once you enter (no mildew), even though this is a downstairs room, next to a garage. This is important to me, so I was very happy. When we arrived, it was chilly, but the space heater provided warmed it up immediately and we were never cold again. We didn't get to meet our hosts, but Della made everything easy for us and was always available. (We thought about going up to knock on their door just to tell them how excited we were about the wonderful art). So thank you Della and John!

  • I love this space and would stay there every time I visit Glen Ellen. Comfortable, spacious and cozy. The decor is whimzical and the location is great. Della and John are excellent hosts. I recommend staying here

Newly remodeled studio below my main home with a private entrance. Spacious backyard with a patio and fire pit. Main home is a vacation-rental so you may hear noise (walking/talking) from above. The kitchen only has 2 hot plates & a toaster oven. My cat, Paris, would need to be fed, watered and given her half pill crushed in milk. Approx 10 minutes from the downtown plaza and close to several wineries. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a lovely neighborhood perfect for morning strolls.
My studio has a small living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It opens up to a lovely patio and backyard with a hammock and fire pit (weather permitting). My cat, Paris, lives with me so she comes with the rental (for free!) If you're allergic to cats, then this would not be for you. I will ask you to feed her and love her while you're here.
I live in a lovely neighborhood where our homes are fairly close to each other. I treat my neighbors with respect and ask that you do the same by using quiet voices after 10pm.

  • We had a wonderful two night stay with Jane. Great location for exploring the region, and also clean and comfortable. But the best part was Jane’s hospitality - delightful food, excellent recommendations, and a friendly dog. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Alexander2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was super sweet and accommodating with our stay 100%! The location was central to all the historic sceneries/wineries just like she mentions on her description and she offers to sit down and share all the best places to visit over a delicious breakfast! Although it ended up being a short trip unexpectedly, she shared sympathy and was as kind as she can be. Thank you and we will be back again!

    Jeong2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • LOVELY! Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood, Casita de las Palmas is a gem. Jane has thought of anything you might need in advance and everything very comfortable. A lovely place to send your time in the Sonoma Valley.

    Lucy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely spot and a great find for a pretty inexpensive and private space. definitely a keeper for us; it was our second time back there and a great place for our four night stay in the area. There is a lovely and cozy private suite with its own bath ,and beautiful outdoor space in the backyard to enjoy, as well as parking and other amenities. Really laid-back and user-friendly with a great hostess on site.

  • We had a great time at Jane’s! She made amazing breakfasts every morning that we really enjoyed. She gave us plenty of tips on good wineries to check out and we were never disappointed. The space was good for two people and she had a beautiful backyard. It was too cold for us to enjoy the outdoors and pool, but wish we could have!

This studio “tiny house” has one queen bed and a double convertible sofa. THe sofa is fine for children, but not very comfortable for an adult. Prefer 1-2 guests, but will consider 3 with discussion. Close to shopping, restaurants, theaters, parks, short drive to downtown. 30 minutes to the beach. 12% tourism and city taxes included in price, so you only pay the price you see!
This is a brand new 200 square foot "tiny house" and I am so excited about it! The queen bed is very comfortable and the sofa converts to a double bed. If 2 adults want to sleep separately in the house, please let me know. The conversion process is a little tricky - I will leave out the directions and also make the extra linens available. I would charge an extra $5 for use of the second bed - to help cover cost of laundry. This little house feels very light, airy, spacious, and also quiet and private. It sits across the yard from my house - it is near the chicken run and I would be remiss if I didn't tell you that the chickens do get up with the sun! I try to get out and give them their morning treat the minute I hear them. I hope you will enjoy their company as much as I do. PLEASE NOTE - THE PRICE QUOTED ON AIR BNB INCLUDES THE 12% TOURISM AND CITY TAX, SO YOU ONLY PAY THE PRICE YOU SEE!
The best thing about my neighborhood is that we are 1 block from Montgomery Village which has some great shopping and dining - various bands provide music in the mall all summer long. There are several really good dining places as well as causal restaurants and places to get "goodies" Even though we are close to all this, the neighborhood is very quiet. Parks, theaters, downtown restaurants and activities are a short car ride away and the little house is in the middle of wine country.
  • Inez's tiny house was exactly what my girlfriend and I needed for our vacation through Napa. At most an hour away from most wineries, it was in a great location and provided easy access across Napa and Santa Rosa. The house itself is relatively small, but not cramped. Everything was extremely clean and well located. Check-in and check-out were very simple. We would gladly stay here again!

    Richard2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. This tiny house is exceptionally clean. Inez goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Excellent location. Napa and Sonoma Valley's within driving distance. If we return to the area, Inez will be our first choice for lodging.

    Sharon2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A sparkling clean Sanctuary close to freeways and right across great shopping and restaurants .. lbed was amazing .. staying again in March.

    Nancy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Inez's spot is bright and clean. Less private than some other options purely based on proximity to her home. However, she does a good job at adding touches to the rental to make you feel secluded (i.e. separate walkway, blinds, etc). The home had everything you'd need for a quick stay! Her two small dogs were a wonderful little bonus :)

  • This was an amazing place. We used everything (grill, pool, spa, fire pit) and it was all working fine. The location was amazing and private. House was clean and perfect for two couple, one upstairs and one downstairs. We would definitely stay there again. Turnkey was very responsive and helpful. Called about a few thing to the general number and the local contact got back to us in less than an hour and one time with 10 min of our call to the general line. He said we could call him directly anytime we had a question. Amazing service. The next time we travel my first stop will be the Turnkey website to book a house.

Charming one bedroom guest house with own driveway. Located next to Jack London Park with great hiking trails and historic sites while only minutes away from gourmet restaurants, tasting rooms, and grocery store. House has kitchenette and porch.
Our property is wonderfully secluded and immediately adjacent to Jack London State Park. We are delighted to have the renters explore the rest of the property if we are at home.
We are located immediately next to Jack London State Park which has also offers endless wonderful hikes and bike rides, but also features the fascinating history of the renowned author Jack London. Jack was a keen experimental farmer and rancher and the Park is full of his special contributions to both. We are also just a little over a mile up the hill from the charming town of Glen Ellen which has numerous wine tasting rooms and several great restaurants.
  • Mona’s guest house located in the town of Glen Ellen is such a wonderful place to stay. The surroundings are quiet and private. The guest house is well appointed and very clean. Mona is a gracious host and very responsive to your needs. The location is close to great restaurants, a wonderful French bakery and many wineries. It is only a fifteen minute drive to downtown Sonoma. I would highly recommend staying at this “hidden gem”.

  • We just completed our 3rd stay at Mona’s lovely cottage, highly recommended.

  • Wonderful quiet and private place. Located in Glen Ellen which is helpful if you want to be in between the wineries in South and North Sonoma. Loved the treats, hospitality, nearby bakery, and comfort of the home. Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic few days at Mona's place. Not only was the guest home clean, quiet and beautifully appointed, we were left a yummy treat as well. It's only 1 minute from Jack London State Park for hiking, and sightseeing its amazing historical buildings. It's also only 1 minute from Benziger Winery (their biodynamic tour is great!) and a few minutes down the hill to the quaint town of Glen Ellen. Mona has everything you need in the guest home. The bed was comfortable and I loved your pillows Mona! I also enjoyed your art on the walls. We really enjoyed the deck to have coffee in the morning and wine at dinner. We bought groceries and cooked in a couple times. It was lovely to dine al fresco. The birds and squirrels playing in the trees kept us entertained! It's really a fantastic property and great deal for staying in wine country. We would love to go back!

    Barb2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent weekend at Mona’s place! The location was perfect for a wine country trip and the space was clean and private.

  • A lovely, quiet place with beautiful views of the stars. It felt like we were staying in the state park! It got quite cool most of our nights there, but we were very cozy. It's clear that Mona cares about her guests and their needs. I would stay again.

Beautiful, well kept, and simply but tastefully decorated 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. Large front and back yards. Front yard has a gorgeous old oak tree with a swing attached. The fenced in backyard has an outdoor dining table, with a solar lit umbrella, 6 chairs, 2 chaise lounge chairs, as well as plenty of room for dogs to roam free. The house is a 5 min walk from a great shopping center, that includes an excellent wine bar/restaurant, grocery store and take out pizza.
The house is simply furnished. No frills, but you have everything you'll need. Coffee maker, refrigerator, stove, microwave, TV, bathtub/shower, a comfy bed, and great wifi. There is a locked off room that is unavailable, but it doesn't get in the way of anything and it doesn't change your ability to use everything in the house. We are dog friendly, but we would love it if you cleaned up after your pup/pups. No parties and no smoking on property. Thank you.
While staying here, you'll be just a short drive from many world class wineries and restaurants. There is easy access to the freeway, even though you're in a secluded, quiet, and historic part of Santa Rosa. Excellent restaurants lie in every direction, and many are within walking distance. Parking is no issue, since there's plenty of driveway and street parking.

Luxury room located in Olive Grove with Italian marble floors, large windows, custom furniture, French doors and 2 outdoor seating areas. Private, locked entrance separate from main home. 5 min walk (on country lanes - no hwy) to Glen Ellen (world class restaurants, gourmet market, patisserie, saloon, wine-tasting rooms) House backs up to 300 acre open space. 15 min to Sonoma Plaza by car. 2-15 min drive to premiere wineries. Coffee, tea, and basic amenities provided. All guests welcome!
We love visiting Italy and have designed our Olive Grove Suite to have a European feel. Quality linens and spotlessly clean. The light from the windows filtered through the trees is beautiful. It is a very peaceful and quiet setting. We have drinks, including a bottle of wine available in a mini frig for our guests. Peet's coffee Keurigs as well as assortment of teas and half and half provided.
Glen Ellen is a quaint village in Sonoma County. Surrounded by mountains at a juncture of two creeks the village has been a wonderful vacation escape for a century. Vineyards abound and it is a hot spot for wine country cuisine. The village, although small, has everything you need with historic buildings, great saloon (you often meet local winemakers at the bar), gourmet market, a chocolate factory, restaurants and the author, Jack London's home. World class wineries surround the village. In the summer there is a theater production, Broadway Under the Stars, that has incredible performances by Broadway stars on the mountain in a vineyard setting.
  • Mary is an exceptional host! My husband and I really enjoyed our time in Glen Ellen & Mary’s list of recommendations were spot on. The suite was very clean and cozy - great location to wineries and walkable to the downtown area. Thanks again for hosting us!

  • This home is so beautiful and well decorated! The backyard is an oasis with beautiful landscaping and a peaceful creek. The location in Glen Ellen is awesome! We walked to dinner twice. Would definitely recommend!

  • We had a beautiful 4 day stay at the Brand New Glen Ellen Farmhouse, and it exceeded our high expectations. My wife and I stayed with my Mother, and we enjoyed every day. The design is perfect for two couples,- especially if you'd like to cook some at home. We stayed in winter, and so we didn't spend much time on the deck out back, but at a different time of year that would spectacular. The two bedrooms, each with an en suite bath are super comfortable, and the unit is very quiet with the windows being triple or quadruple glazed. My wife and I stayed in the Master Bedroom, and it was very luxurious. Spacious, with a super comfortable bed, and a large bathtub and a wonderful shower. The kitchen is easy to cook in. My wife made an amazing dinner for us one night, and we had breakfast in every day. Speaking of breakfast, two kinds of great coffee were provided as well- a Nespresso machine with plenty of pods and a pound of Peet's coffee to use in the French press. We enjoyed both each morning. If you are wondering what its like to locate in Glen Ellen, I think it's a great base to explore the area from. In our 3 full days we spent one on the Bohemian Highway and the Coastal section around Bodega Bay (Bodgea Bay is a 1 hour drive), and one day in the Napa Valley taking the Oakville grade over the Mountains- it took a little over a half hour to get to Oakville driving slowly to take in the views. The third day we spent in the city of Sonoma. There are lots of nice restaurants in Glen Ellen itself, and a great grocery store too. If you like chocolate, definitely check out Wine Country Chocolates in Glen Ellen. The Farmhouse is a great place for 2-4 people looking for a quiet, luxurious place to stay in wine country. Highly recommended!

  • This was such a fabulous space in a wonderful location. Everything about our stay was great, from the modern construction to perfect furnishings to the quiet and solitude that the home and locale offered. The backyard and deck were especially nice. We had a fabulous time and would absolutely come again.

    Byron2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool place. Designer did a fantastic job. Modern but cozy. Loved it.

    Marilyn2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's Glen Ellen cottage was an absolute dream. The pictures do not lie - the cottage is absolutely beautiful - so stylish, thoughtfully furnished, and sparkling clean. You feel like you're living in the 'after' phase of any HGTV show. There were so many thoughtful touches and accommodations akin to what you'd expect from Four Seasons if they managed AirBnbs. The backyard and deck were massive, and the location cannot be beat. You are walking distance to the small but charming 'downtown' Glen Ellen strip, which includes tasting rooms and some great restaurants. We walked from the cottage to Glen Ellen Star in about 5 minutes. I can't recommend this place enough.

    Chris2019-12-01T00:00:00Z

My place is good for couples who want to relax and explore the area, close to parks, good restaurants, wineries and 1 hr from the Coast. It is a 2-story one bedroom cottage near Jack London State Park. There is an olive garden at the cottage, and hot tub. I also live on the property in the main house about 150 feet away. I have chickens, garden, solar power and keep a few beehives. I have lived in Glen Ellen 48 yrs and love the rural, wooded setting, with all it’s wildlife and birds!
There are a couple of large redwood and fir trees near the cottage, also oaks, buckeye, bay laurel, manzanita, and other native trees and shrubs, and a pond. Downstairs is fully equipped kitchen/living area with a gas Jotel stove for heat. Upstairs is a king sized bed and bathroom with tub/shower. Converted barn! The property is on a septic system and well, so water-efficiency is appreciated, as well as being careful to put only toilet paper in toilet.
Glen Ellen is a rural-residential area, with lots of trees, a pretty creek running through the small town. There are several excellent restaurants right in Glen Ellen, as well as a Fire Station and also a Cal-Fire station. There are about 750 permanent residents. We are concerned about preserving the small town feel, the uniqueness of our town, and the safety of residents and visitors alike. Speed limits are strictly enforced.
  • Deer Haven is a gem tucked away in the hills of Glen Ellen. It's a quiet, but conveniently located retreat. Walking distance to cute restaurants and short scenic drive to many wineries and hiking spots. Ellen was a gracious host. We'd definitely book again.

    Molly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen’s place is cozy, relaxing, and a great place to stay! We arrived and she had very thoughtfully turned on the heat and had everything ready with clear, helpful details so that everything was super easy to settle into. Ellen also provided robes for guests as a little extra detail to feel at home. The property has beautiful views with lots of trees and flowers, as well as the bee hives and chickens, truly a great stay in the country. The hot tub is a great addition right on the back deck. Overall it was a peaceful and pretty home!

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This home was truly magical and exceeded all of our expectations. The cottage is tucked away into many acres of land in the woods, where you are almost guaranteed to see deer, wild turkey, dozens and dozens of quail, hummingbirds and so much more. Ellen, the owner was such a great host and had so many great little touches in the place including fresh coffee grounds and greeted us with lots of tips for the town as well. The hot tub was also amazing and perfectly situated under the trees and stars. We could not ask for a better weekend away for our anniversary.

    David2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location to explore Sonoma and Napa. Private and quiet. Hot tub and fig tree are amazing extras! Nice hiking trails close by. We didn't care, but there is no TV in the place, WiFi works OK, not very fast. If you want to unwind and relax, and take break from news, it's really great though.

    Julia2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen’s cottage was the perfect location for our weekend trip. We would absolutely stay with her again!

    Laura2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Deer Haven was #%*##!!awesome. We relaxed in the hot tub, saw lots of wildlife, and in general had a super chill time. It was cozy but felt spacious, and was close to the State Park, which was our ultimate destination.

Santa Rosa is close to wineries, parks, good restaurants, music. My home is about 1 mile from downtown, was built in 1906, has a small private room & bath, claw foot tub, NO SHOWER. No smokers please. Close to bus line, breweries and shops. Lovely area for walking. Pets under 20 lbs ok. I have 3 small friendly dogs who greet you.
Great part of Santa Rosa, close to downtown. Nice area of old homes, many older than mine which was built in 1906. I have tried to keep that old feel to the house and I want it to feel warm and friendly. Private room with large private bathroom but no shower, sorry.
My home is an Historic District with many older homes and trees. It a lovely area to just take a walk.

The room is very small but perfect for one. There is a tub only but that wasn’t really a problem for me. Linda was very nice and made my stay easy. You can’t beat the price for a place to crash

A rustic bohemian country cabin nestled at the end of a single lane country road in a dreamy oak forest in the Glen Ellen hills. Guests have access to a private large bedroom/living space, a private bathroom and shared kitchen. The cabin sits on 5 acres, including a deck and patio with views of the forest, a meadow and access to 2 "hillbilly hot tubs" (outdoor clawfoot tubs) situated in the hillside bordering the meadow and the trees. Homeowner lives onsite, but respects the privacy of guests.
The shared outdoor spaces are beautiful and relaxing. The indoor space is artsy and charming. Some have described it as Bohemian and wabisabi. Not a 5 star hotel but better in a lot of ways and clean, comfy and homey.
The "neighborhood" is located on a private road in the forest. There is quite a bit of space between houses. Very beautiful. Magical. The country roads are nice to walk, run or bike. Short drive to hiking and mountain biking in Jack London State Park and Sonoma Regional Park. 12 mins from downtown Glen Ellen, 20 mins from downtown Sonoma. A car is highly recommended.
  • My 2nd trip to Simone’s and I loved it again! Such an oasis and I am obsessed with all the surrounding Oak Trees. Would recommend—it is worth the drive out there!

    Autumn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Simone's place was great! The space is beautifully decorated, so cozy and lovely. There's a wood burning stove that kept us very warm at night and a nice record players with tons of great records. Simone's place is in a really beautiful part of Sonoma, surrounded by gorgeous oak trees and lots of nature. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the valley and the sound of birds. We only stayed for one nigh but I'd recommend coming for a full weekend-- the space is too beautiful, and there's an outdoor tub overlooking the valley! And Simone is such a kind person. Such a great stay, highly recommended!

    Breanna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Simone’s place is very cool and unique. Nice style and the claw foot tubs outside were were super fun. Highly recommend!

  • Definitely take Simone up on the massage service! I took this trip as a solo getaway for one night and having a massage upon arrival set the tone of the weekend. I also took an open-air bath which Simone helped me with. The property is nuzzled in nature and was a calming space for me to spend the weekend reading. I would definitely come back!

    Zabrina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Simone’s place is in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Be sure to arrive while it is light out and enjoy the lush surroundings!

    Autumn2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described! Love the gravel road through the forest feel to get to this place. It was nice to stay in someone's real home and not a vacation rental. Read the house-guide, very useful info, then go to the French bakery down the road. Simone popped in for a little bit and was very kind!

    Orlee2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

    Sam2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Simone's place is a bit difficult to get to (especially after dark during a storm), but it's well worth the trip. Her directions were super helpful, and the space itself was one of a kind. It was really nice to experience the rain while surrounded by the trees. Check in was also very flexible, and Simone was understanding and kind.

Serene, cozy, detached studio in a garden setting; with a private entrance. It is in one of the best neighborhoods in Santa Rosa, with Victorian houses and beautiful trees. There's a queen size bed and kitchenette with coffee maker, brand new microwave, mini-refrigerator, toaster, cups, glasses, silverware, coffee, and snacks; a walk-in closet, dresser, table with 2 chairs, a small desk and a wool rug. The bathroom is in the main house. This is a scent free, natural home.
There is usually parking near the house. The studio has two windows and gets good light. You have WIFI and there is also an assortment of books. Enjoy your own private garden. No bathroom in the studio, you need to walk 30 feet to go into the main house and use the bathroom. The bathroom in the main house has a tub and shower, also quality bath towels, wash cloth and hand towels. Shampoo and soap are provided. The main house is a very charmer older Victorian style home with a big bay window. Please be aware that this is a home that is pretty much scent free. Please do not use strongly scented products in the house or studio. That includes essential oils, and no air fresheners or incense please.
We are close to everything, you could walk to downtown, where you find the Russian river Brewery and other Pubs along with outstanding restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Mexican, Thai, Brazilian and Vegan menus along with many other choices. I truly appreciated how the room was fully equipped with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, utensils etc. It also had a table and chairs for a place to sit and eat. The location was in the heart of town. Marianne was friendly and attentive to any of my needs. I would definitely recommend a stay at her home if you are seeking a place. • Clean, cozy, convenient, and our host is a very conscientious person with attention to details, right down to the in-room snacks and coffee with creamer, no added cost. We were able to truly relax and sleep very well, both nights, while enjoying a local family reunion. Only minutes away from downtown or the highway and many other places, yet located in a very quiet neighborhood. Enjoy!

Welcome to “La Casita de los Amigos”, a cozy cottage with a private entrance in a safe, quiet, and wonderfully diverse neighborhood near downtown. Amenities include a comfortable double bed; full bathroom with tub; mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, toaster oven, dishes, flatware, cups & glasses; a 37” HDTV w/Roku; secure WiFi; complimentary coffee, tea, oatmeal & snacks. We are a mature, educated, progressive couple who welcome all guests regardless of their backgrounds.
ABOUT THE AREA We are located in southwest Santa Rosa in a safe, quiet, and wonderfully diverse neighborhood built in 1946. The Historic Railroad Square District – including the SMART Train depot – is a 15-minute walk while both the heart of downtown & the Sonoma County Fairgrounds are mere 20-minute walks. A multitude of outstanding restaurants and nightspots, including at least a dozen brewpubs, taprooms, and wine tasting rooms, are either within walking distance or a short drive or ride share away. Costco, Target, Trader Joe's, and other shopping options are also nearby. The Pacific Ocean is a 45-minute drive to the west, Armstrong Redwoods State Park is a half-hour drive to the northwest, and nearly 200 wineries are within an hour of us. The Golden Gate Bridge and the city of San Francisco are roughly 55 miles away. Our proximity to the US Hwy 101 (north/south) & CA Hwy 12 (east/west) junction puts us, quite literally, at the crossroads of both Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION & RIDE SHARE OPTIONS Santa Rosa CityBus has multiple stops a block away and Sonoma County Transit has a stop roughly 4 blocks away. The SMART Train depot is a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive. Lyft and Uber are both reliable options here. ACCESS & CHECK IN Access to the unit is via a driveway which runs along the south side of the main house. You will need to pass through the unlocked chainlink gate and then proceed to the unit. Motion-sensor security lights will activate as you get close to the gate, so don't be alarmed if it's dark when you arrive. There is also a motion-sensor porch light at the unit which will be triggered as you approach. The unit is equipped with a keypad lock. You will be given the code and instructions upon booking. We live in the main house and are usually available on short notice if you need us to replenish supplies, address concerns, or fix something which has broken. While the unit is small (roughly 200 sq. ft.), we do whatever we can to make it comfortable, livable, and pleasant. If we fall short of your expectations, please let us know immediately so we can work to make it right.
