Its am amazing place. Was having an intimate family celebration and it was perfect for that too. The communication and quick responses were. The place is what you see on the pictures with an amazing theme.

The appartment is an absolute GEM in the heart of Maboneng. The views from sunrise to sunset and the beautiful night skyline was something magical!!! I loved having an authentic Jhb CBD experience right at your doorstep, walking around trying out Local restaurants and coffee shops. I felt safe with the security gaurd at the entrance of the building. I hope to be back soon. Wow!

Very convenient to Rosebank Mall and some nice restaurants. Had a few issues which were sorted quickly. The description of the apartment and the previous reviews made me feel slightly disappointed with the place. Still good value but don’t think I would book again.

This is a nice place to stay in if you're visiting Jo'burg, as it's close to Rosebank mall and the Gautrain station. It's completely safe and very clean. Poonam was very helpful and responsive, and she arranged the transfer from the airport for us (for a fee, of course). Thanks!

Steve’s place is in one of the coolest places in a Johannesburg. The place offers amenities that I never encounter in other Airbnb’s. Like Amazon Alexa, PlayStation, etc. furthermore, there’s anything else you need for a comfortable stay. I’ll definitely go there again when I have to visit joburg. Please note that “Alexa, please kill the mosquito“ doesn’t work yet. Mosquitoes are still far superior to AI ;-)

Steven's home is delightful. He was a comfortable home with fast internet, a good workspace and well kitted out for your cooking pleasure. Would definitely recommend it.

Steve’s space is the ideal place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere within walking distance to all of Melville’s great restaurants etc. He was also thoughtful enough to pass on some tips about places in the area. Great stay, would definitely recommend!

It is a super spot for a business stay. Quiet. Steven was really help and accommodating with my late arrival and early departure. I hope I will have a longer stay the next time.

This was the first airbnb i have ever booked and will definitely do so over and over again. I have read all the reviews available on here and after my visit can verify that it is all true. Firstly Gordon is an amazing host, the word "Super" clearly applies here as he is one of the friendliest , most down to earth people i have come across in the tourism (accomodation) industry . He called me earlier than check in time to let me know i can come earlier, was there to welcome me, came in to check up if everything was okay throughout the stay and assisted when we had a little accident . The guesthouse itself is really stunning, from the road view you would never say that it is the same venue. It looks and feels like a 5 star venue which has everything you could need . It was really clean and tidy and you can see that is well taken care off. I wasn't too fond of the Westdene area when booking and originally wanted something in Sandton/Randburg etc but glad that i did book Thornton Gap Guesthouse. If you are visiting Joburg or just need a place to spend a few days away with mates, colleagues, family or a loved one then this is definitely the place you need to book at. Thank you Gordon and looking forward to booking this place again many times in future.

Leigh’s place is a one bedroom loft. It is stylishly furnished, and has everything you might need. There is a little kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, and kettle. The WiFi was pretty good. The place is in a secure complex, so you feel very safe. Would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area

The house has everything u need and feels like you are at home. I love the pool, the lounge and spacious three bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms. The deco and style of the home is perfect and I could not wish for more. Love staying at this home every time I visit Johannesburg :)!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place, the service & the treats that we had were amazing. Everything was clean, comfortable & we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was amazing. It was nice & peaceful & we felt right at home. It was also nice meeting the host & we loved their hospitality.

This was my favorite airbnb. I traveled with my girlfriend and we absolutely loved it! Mary is amazing, she makes you feel like family and is always aware of everything you need. The neighborhood is safe, you have a lot of restaurants a few blocks from there and it’s easy to find.

This is an incredible apt sorrounded by various iconic buildings that are starting to be develop and refurbish thus the neighborhood is getting better little by little. The owners made and incredible job in this apt and the host is amazing, always there for help and guidance. Joburg is a city that is still overcoming its history and this place helps you get that feeling pretty well. There is supermarket and liquior store at walking distance but be aware that is close on weekends. Is a very easy acces to all the major sightseeing places when renting a car (highly suggested).

The place looks exactly as pictured online. Very modern and stylish space located within minutes of everything we wanted to see. Accessible to Uber with a few shops/grocery stores within walking distance. The rooftop was very nice with beautiful views of the city. We felt very safe and secure while in the home and we had everything we needed. The host was responsive and answered all our questions in a timely manner. I would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lorraine's place. It was the cutest little place, but so functional! And for what you get, the price is an absolute bargain. We were given detailed instructions on the security features, and not once did we struggle to get in or out. It really did put our minds at ease. The place itself has enough room that it's not crowded, but, rather we found it cozy and welcoming. The decor was tasteful, and everything we needed, was there, plus extra! We will be staying there again, for sure, in the future! The hosts are warm and welcoming people, always ready to help and quick to respond.

The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and private. There is a braai area with an amazing view, and a gorgeous outside shower which was perfect for a refreshing cold shower in the hot weather. We enjoyed the hiking trails and night skies. We would come back again.

I wish we stayed longer!this little cottage is not so little. Great space to relax in!stylish modern with beautiful touches. Nice living area with smart tv and dstv. Kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, bathroom nice with big shower. Big bedroom with a very comfy bed. Walking distance to 4th avenue so did not even use the car. Very secure and safe property! What a wonderful place to stay at!

This is by far our best stay in South Africa. Everything looks immaculate and well thought-out. It’s just as gorgeous as the pictures portray. Michelle’s attention to detail and quality shines right through. All the amenities were spotlessly clean. The hosts were very super friendly and helpful. We felt like they genuinely cared about us. The home is also located in a very beautiful and secure neighborhood so you sleep in complete peace. Their daughters are also adorable :) We are DEFINITELY coming back on our next trip!

An absolutely perfect flat with perfect amenities, perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated with attention to detail ! The home looked even nicer than the photos ! It was very quiet and we felt extremely safe and secure ! I am happy to report that I finally found my “ home away from home flat “ and most assuredly will be back ! Michelle and Terrence were really great hosts , giving us attention and space making our stay a most comfortable and memorable one !

Michelle and Terrance’s place was the perfect home-base for our visit to Joburg. The location was great, easily accessible to other parts of the city. The house had everything one might need: well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, and lots of wonderful outdoor space. Michelle and Terrance were responsive and offered suggestions for food and activities. We couldn’t have asked for a better place!

This is a beautiful property, we would give 6 stars if we could. Even though the house is on the same premises as the host it felt very private. We had access to the swimming pool and tennis court which is great fun. The flat is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It felt like a smart hotel suite. Special touches like toys for my toddler were much appreciated! Daphne who lives onsite babysat for a very reasonable fee was fantastic. Communication fast and efficient throughout. Would definitely stay again!

Great house! The house is in a very nice, safe area. It is spacious (we where 5 adults and 1 child), has everything that you might need, even drinks (like a mini bar at very reasonable prices) and stuff for breakfast! The kitchen is completely equipped, very big and good for cooking. Living room with huge, comfortable sofas, nice outside area in the garden. The roof garden is great! Bedrooms are spacious and Beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean. Huge garage with washing machine and even a dryer. All in all a great stay - we would definitely come back.

We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s house! The place is very cozy, and well equipped with cooking utensils and appliances. Sarah is very attentive and caring for her guests. We were received with essential items for a coffee or snack, and with the house carefully arranged to receive the guests, making us feel welcomed. Sarah is a great host!

Sarah, was an outstanding host. We arrived to find the fridge well stocked with everything you need for your first evening and breakfast, lovely fruit bowl and other kind touches . This was an added kind gesture from Sarah for travelers arriving after long journeys and not wanting to visit the local shops. The bedrooms were lovely with outstandingly comfortable beds with divine crisp clean white linen. Fabulous big bath sheets in the clean bathrooms. I highly recommend this Air BNB for anyone visiting Johannesburg and wants to be well located, in a lovely SAFE leafy quiet Suburb.

Shaun’s place is a must for those staying for a short or a long time in Jozi. The location, spaciousness, amenities and overall style of the apartment is wonderful and homely. I stayed for a month and it was a perfect home-away-from-home. Would highly recommend!

I’ve stayed with Shaun before at this apartment. It’s a newer building and very nice apartment. It’s clean and has everything you need for your stay. Benmore Shopping Center is close as well as lots of restaurants. Sandton City Mall is also close. The only issue I have (this isn’t Shaun’s fault) is the WiFi is capped because they don’t offer uncapped fiber in this building yet. So if you like to stream movies, this could be an issue (it didn’t end to being a problem for me). The other would be the 10am check out which you need to be aware of. Luckily I had an early flight this time. I was aware of the check out time before I booked but 4 hours to clean the apartment for the next guest seems excessive. Other than that I definitely would recommend Shaun’s place. Thanks again.

The deco in this place is amazing and the flat has been well kitted out. The TV package includes sports channels and the wifi was fast and reliable. The block is quiet but is just a 5 minute walk to a mall and a number of good cocktail bars. About a 10 minute uber to Nelson Mandela Square. Shaun responded quickly to questions. Would definitely stay again.

Poonam was a great host. She is quick with her responses and check-in was so easy. Her space was very clean, great amenities and thoughtfully laid out. We had no problems during our stay. The bed is spacious and large enough for a couple or two friends. The apartment complex has lovely first desk attendants and easily accessible elevators. The apartment is situated 2-3 minutes for a lovely shopping mall, a Starbucks, lovely restaurants and the hop-on/off bus stop. Great location! Would highly recommend this spot.

Poonam's apartment is a great place to stay in Johannesburg - steps away from the Gautrain and Rosebank mall, and easy to access other areas of Johannesburg via Uber. The apartment was clean and comfortable and exceptional value for money. Poonam was a great, responsive host.

Unfortunately we were involved in an accident on the day of our arrival which affected our plans for Johannesburg. Instead of arriving during the daytime as expected with arrived at 2am. However, the apartment felt safe, secure and easy to check in even at this time. The apartment was lovely, stylish and comfortable to spend a couple of days recovering in and was just across the road from shops, restaurants and a cinema. I would recommended staying here to anyone looking for a safe, convenient few days stay in Joburg. We also made use of the luggage storage and car to the airport that Poonam arranged for us and I would also recommend these.

What outstanding views from a lovely, enormous loft space in an Arts building. Very comfortable and safe in a district I found one needed to be very careful. Every amenity a traveller would want was provided. I would have liked if there was a small safe for valuables but that is my only suggestion. If staying, I strongly suggest Uber-ing everywhere as Uber is cheap and safe. I love public transport and made the mistake of taking the Gautrain to Park Station. I didn't realise Park Station area is unsafe. Phone thieves are everywhere. The restaurants within one block of this loft are excellent and cheap. I hired a local for a walking tour of the Arts district. So enjoyable! Take a minute to read the owners booklet of suggestions. Spot on and very helpful. Happy travels!

This is my second time staying at the Maboneng Penthouse and flat is enormous and very comfortable. Maboneng is definitely a party area so certainly be prepared for that but the penthouse apartment is conveniently located and well managed / maintained. I’d recommend to any traveler in Joburg.

The flat is very nicely done and comfortable too. Communication was easy and our hosts really accommodated our needs. The location is the best part, there's so much just outside the front door! Throughly recommended.

The penthouse above Maboneng is amazing ! I was blown away at how big, stylish, the views, the bed, the bath was incredible. The whole place is just so great and cool. And the building is full of art and the street full of amazing bars and restaurants! Loved it I’ll be back.

The Penthouse is super clean, Lee Anne the host was very helpful... The restaurants are a walk away just downstairs!! I truly loved it I can’t fault it... Most definitely coming back 💯
