The highest village in Cornwall is Minions which is a mere 4 miles from Lestitha Farm on the south east corner of Bodmin Moor, and has a wealth of ancient archeological sites dating from the early bronze age onwards and they are really popular with walkers and hikers, these include the Hurlers, three stone circles dated at around 1500 BC, a line through the centre of them brings you to Rillaton Barrow a large burial mound. Alternatively on the top of Stowes Hill, overlooking Minions, you can see the Cheesering, a natural formation of balancing stones formed during the last ice age and by thousands of years of erosion, the name derives from the shape of the stones and will become patently obvious on viewing! The ancient stannary town of Liskeard is at the head of the Looe Valley and is approximately 12 miles east of Bodmin. Liskeard is one of the few remaining towns in Cornwall to still have a livestock market. It serves a number of small surrounding villages and is the gateway to Bodmin Moor. Liskeard is also the starting point of the Liskeard to Looe railway, one of the most scenic railway trips in the country and a delightful day out! Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A 30 is home to one of Cornwall's Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty. Reaching a height of 1,377 feet above sea level at Brown Willy, Cornwall's highest point. The heather covered granite moorland provides East Cornwall with the most stunning country views and rugged walks. Near Blisland you will find two of Cornwall's stone circles, the Trippet Stones and Stripple Stone Henge and just round the corner, one end of the famous Camel Trail. The 18 mile Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge out to Padstow, eminently suitable for families. The National Lobster Hatchery at Padstow neighbours Rick Steins empire on the North Coast. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway, the first steam operated railway in Cornwall, takes in 13 miles of countryside. Also just outside Bodmin is the Camel Valley Vineyard who have been winning awards for their home grown wine for the past 20 years. The National Trust have a number of properties nearby - Lanhydrock House, Trerice, Cotehele and Antony (used for Disney's Alice in Wonderland), Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps. Slightly further afield is the Eden Project in St Austell. Bodmin Jail built in 1778, notorious for its public executions by hanging, was the first jail to be built housing inmates in individual cells. The Jail closed in 1927 and is now a museum open to the public, which during the First World War housed the Crown Jewels and the Doomsday Book. To the east is the Tamar Valley, a stunning, quiet, picturesque region with some beautiful villages including Calstock with its impressive Viaduct dominating the village, Calstock Quay was originally used for transportation of tin as there is a deep water navigable channel at the top of the tides, although the construction of the Tamar Valley Railway in the early 20th century led to most cargo being transported by rail. Further up stream is Morwellham Quay with its fantastic open air museum, Morwellham Quay has been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO, the cultural arm of the UN, and is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape. Originally set up by the Benedictine Monks from Tavistock Abbey in 961 as a trading route to Plymouth via the Tamar. Tavistock is an ancient stannary and market town on the edge of Dartmoor and just across the border in Devon, it has a wealth of fine pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and tourist attractions.

  • My husband and I along with our spaniel Henry spent 4 nights in this cosy barn. Unfortunately the weather was quite bad and we were unable to use the Hot Tub but we made good use of the wood burner in the evening. Highly recommended! The views were amazing and was a great central location for travelling around Cornwall.

    Kate2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely space in a lovely location! The hot tub has a fantastic view and for days when it was wet and cold the fire was perfect. The scones on arrival and tips about the local area were great fully accepted. Everything was clean and tidy and there was everything needed for us to cook as well. Can't fault this place!

  • Fantastic weekend away in Cornwall. The Shippon was spotless when we arrived and Rita was very welcoming offering the traditional cream tea. The hot tub was a fantastic addition to the house and we spent nights relaxing under the stars. Would highly recommend The Shippon for a stay away!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Shippon and the location was fantastic just what we were looking for. The hot tub was amazing and used most evenings even though the weather wasn’t the best. The one clear night was amazing with all the stars out. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely go back again.

  • I booked this for me and my boyfriend for his birthday. It was amazing, the farm animals..hot tub..jacuzzi bath...quiet farm area...small cabin just for two...nearby beach and local pub...all were brilliant. We went to The Bank in Bude for tapas, rosies for lunch and prestons for lunch. Highly recommend all places. We visited summerleaze beach, the nearby beach (a 25-30 minute walk from the cabin) and did cliff walks which again I would highly recommend. Debbie and her partner were very helpful. We didn't need to contact them but they both visited us (when we checked in and before check out) so any questions we thought of we just asked them then, but they leave their number and were easy to contact. We are already planning on returning when the sun comes to visit as my boyfriend loves to surf but due to the weather he wasn't able to do this AND the cabin has a BBQ which next time we would love to have. Thank you & if you are a couple and are debating booking court farm cabin … you won't be disappointed :)

    Megan2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved it! The location was perfect, it was so peaceful and definitely worth the money, already looking to go back in the summer.

    Jessica2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy cabin with everything we needed for a few days away before the Christmas madness! We didn’t use the hot tub due to the weather.. but the jacuzzi bath was amazing! The local pub Preston Gate is really friendly and does an amazing roast! Andrew and Debbie are really friendly and helpful and full of good recommendations for places to go. We’d love to return with the whole family and stay in the farmhouse.. will hopefully be in touch! Xx

    Allison2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cabin, with stunning views from the garden and the hot tub.. We had such a special time, enjoying walks on the beaches in Bude and spending time relaxing in the hot tub.. We took our dog, who loved it there! Our hosts were so friendly and very helpful! We will definitely be visiting again :)

Explore the South West Coast Path, then snuggle up for a relaxed night on the quaint, checked sofa at this cozy, single-storey cottage nestled in a shared courtyard. Whitewashed stone walls, pastel-hued panelling, and soft cream creates a snug feel.
Set in Marldon Village, these lovely former farm conversions nestles within a courtyard setting and is the perfect couples retreat or small family holiday
The house is in the charming village of Marldon, close to the seaside towns of Torquay, Paignton, and Brixham with their quirky shops, pubs, restaurants, and galleries. The sandy beaches of Torre Abbey Sands and Goodrington Sands are also nearby.
  • Jasmine cottage is situated in a quiet but central area of a lovely Devon village. We found the cottage in a converted barn warm and welcoming on arrival. Very well designed layout with an open plan living dining kitchen area and 2 ensuite bedrooms arranged on each side. The cottage was spotless, beds comfortable and linens and towels high quality. Lovely walks around the village and Church inn does an amazing Sunday roast. Really recommend its location.

    Sally2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience

  • Great place & great host!

  • Brillaint stay in Jasmine Cottage. Comfortable and clean - very spacious. Would highly recommend as excellent value for money!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Jasmine Cottage! It’s in a great location to visit paignton and torquay, and it’s super homely and warm! We even had a christmas tree! Had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

The Weekender is a contemporary space,38sqm with stunning views all round step through the door and relax. The decor is stylish, comfortable, a beautiful haven to sit and contemplate the breathtaking surroundings from. Described by a recent guest as "The most beautiful small space they'd ever stayed in" It can be difficult to do anything here other than unwind. But if you can drag yourself away from this little gem it's a great place to explore North Cornwall's diverse delights from.
The Weekender really is a delight, tucked away with views that will take your breath away. My clever husband built this little beauty last year and it evolved into something unique. With our skills and experience in various design projects we have created something we feel is very special. The interior is both cosy but spacious and is filled with lovely finishes that give a high quality and a fabulous feel. It is a very romantic hideaway - ideal for couples. It can be hard to leave to explore the area as it is possible to just sit for hours and and enjoy the space.
Crackington Haven lies in the Parish of St Gennys in North Cornwall. It is a wonderful escape from the hectic side of life. If you don't feel like venturing too far then there are wonderful short and long walks right outside the door. The Weekender sits right on the Southwest coast path - arguably - on one of the most beautiful and dramatic parts of the coast both North and South right here. Crackington has 2 cafes and a good pub - eat and drink overloooking the beautiful beach and giant cliffs. There is a good local shop / PO and a garage just 3 miles from here where you can purchase most things to keep you going! Bude is just 10 miles from The Weekender which is a lovely seaside town with some good shops to wander around and plenty of cafes. Boscastle and Tintagel are approx 6/7 miles south of Crackington offering picturesque harbours, castles and villages. Port Isaac (Port Wenn) is approx 40 mins drive where the popular Doc Martin is filmed - you can wander the tiny streets and recognise your favourite bits! Padstow and Rock are fairly close by with Rick Stein's delicious Fish and chips being the first port of call especially if you've cycled the Camel Trail from Wadebridge or beyond. Further afield are many places to explore The Eden project is about an hours drive and well worth a visit. Closer to home on the edge of Bodmin Moor are Roughtor and Brown Willy- 2 fabulous walks / scrambles with beautiful granite features to admire. Roughtor car park is just a 25 min drive from The Weekender it can be hard to tear yourself away but it's definitely worth the effort.
  • What a beautiful place and location Sarah was the perfect host I had a wonderful stay and would 100 percent reccommend and return

    Nela2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing find! . This place has a great vibe, I could sit and look out over the sea for days and not get bored of it. The weekender is a stylish, spotlessly clean place, with everything you need for a cosy break away. Sara was a great host and I would recommend anyone looking for a peaceful get away to try the Weekender. If you do be sure to give Boscastle farm shop up the road a visit, it’s possibly the best farm shop/cafe we have ever visited.

    Devinia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A stylish cabin/small house set in the beautiful countryside. Ideal if you like walking and being away from the hustle of the tourist spots. The hosts live close by and extremely friendly and helpful. The only slight negative was the bed was only assessable from one side so I had to wake my husband up in the night when I got up to pay a visit. Everything else was perfect, spotlessly clean, amazing views, good WIFi with film selections. Would definitely revisit.

    Julie-Ann2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute gem! Tucked beautifully out of the way and such a stylish accommodation. All the mod cons and the host was lovely with great directions to the accommodation.

  • Sara is really great host. She was helpful and very kind. Her place is amazing, bright and very clean.I definitely recommend see this place

  • Exceptional views and exceptional hideaway. Loved every second we spent there. Sara was a lovely host, my partner and I both caught her separate times and she was lovely to us both, made sure we had everything we needed which we did already thanks to her!! Highly recommend to those looking to escape and spend time together. Welcome book recommended a restaurant I didn’t find online turned out to be a great restaurant with lovely food, very thankful for that! Visited St. Neclans Glen too to look at the waterfalls, lovely walk. Nothings to far away, easy drive. Will definitely be returning.

    Amelia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I dont even know where to start. The property was absolutely beautiful and even more stunning than I imagined. It is very much out of the way but believe me that's part of its magic. Sara has thought of everything. Everything you need to cook, relax or be comfy or sit and watch Netflix is available. We bought our food shop on the way down which is recommended. The place is so peaceful we even want to leave to explore! Very very very clean and a lot of attention to detail. Bed comfy and very homely feeling. Favourite place I have stayed at out of all the airbnb properties I have stayed at!

    Danni'2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful escape in a very convenient location. Secluded but convenient at the same time....a gateway to North Cornwalls attractions. I can’t recommend Sara’s place highly enough......communication was 1st class too. Sara couldn’t have been more helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Will certainly be returning sometime

Beautiful views of the cornish fields with sheep and horses around. Just the most relaxing time we've had in a long while!! Elizabeth is a great host and we can't wait to go back.

She was really helpful and gave us loads of local recommendations! It was the perfect escape and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Matt2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the hut for 5 nights over New Year’s Eve and cannot fault the stay. Prior to the stay Elizabeth was really helpful with info about the stay and directions, and on arrival there were little treats for us which was lovely to arrive to after a long journey! The hut was spotless, warm and had a really homely feel. The hot tub was an added bonus! We got to meet Rosie the cat too, who was absolutely adorable. Elizabeth provided loads of information about the local area, like things to do and where to eat, which was really useful. We hope to go back to the hut in the near future - it was the perfect getaway

    Ellie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! We stayed at Liz’s place for a relaxing break a few days before Christmas and it way exceeded our expectations! The Shepherd’s Hut is perfectly located, and is filled with loads of lovely touches - including fresh lemon cake and Prosecco! The hot tub is a delight after a day out walking. If you’re wondering whether to book...do it!

The lodge was perfect....there is a Woodpecker which you can hear and you may be lucky to see the Deer if you wander the pathways. There is an onsite store and a nearby Superstore for all needs. The hot tub sets it all off, it was ready for use when we got there and is great to get in at night with some Bubbly.

  • Well what can I say about woodpecker lodge? Absolutely amazing! We wanted a quiet and relaxing weekend to de stress and this log cabin was exactly the perfect place! The cabin was stylish and comfy. The kitchen well equipped for all needs and the log burner was amazing on the cold nights. We loved the hot tub with multi function and lights and even enjoyed it during stormy weather with torrential rain which made it even more special! Keith and his wife were awesome hosts and totally went above and beyond for us when we had a flat tyre! These guys are truly awesome and we will be recommending this place to our friends and family!

  • We had the best time at Woodpecker Lodge! The location is beautiful, private and so peaceful. The hot tub (an absolute favourite) and the wood burner made our stay extra special. Our great hosts responded quickly and couldn’t do enough to help. As a group we would absolutely recommend Woodpecker Lodge and we fully intend on returning for a longer stay in the future! :)

    Jo2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log cabin set among the forest. Best thing about it was sitting in the hot tub with the star spattered sky above you, listening to the sounds of the wild like an owl and its chicks. You don’t get to hear or see much of that in the city! The cabin was spotless, the log burner a cosy touch and the kitchen was well stocked with every utensil, pan etc. you could possibly need. Perfect little break away and I would recommend to anyone!

    Sarah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Woodpecker Lodge is perfect! It’s clean and has everything you could possibly need. It’s in a secluded location and therefore you have your privacy. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

    Hannah2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Really cosy and romantic cabin with plenty of space. We stayed in woodpecker lodge with a hot tub for three nights. For our first night we only had one neighbour but thankfully the hot tub is mostly covered by a wooden screen - the hot tub next door was the other side of some bushes and we could hear the others but it didn’t disturb us. Access to the hot tub was a little chilly as you can’t go from the cabin door down the steps to it, there’s a wooden ramp before hand but once you’re in the tub it’s lovely. The shop was shut when we went to visit for more drinks or kindling (you get enough for 1 fire) but we sent a message and they opened up quickly for us. We were given detailed maps and some recommendations of where to go and what to see. We did the pooh sticks walk which was about 3 miles in total and had some nice views. The amenities were clean but the crockery and cutlery was all poorly washed so we had to clean things as we used them - that’s most likely the fault of previous occupants though and not necessarily the hosts. All in all a positive experience, it was a relaxing, charming atmosphere and comfortable.

    Shaun2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend this beautiful place. So relaxing and cosy. Staff are very helpful and friendly with giving tips on what to do locally. I would love to come back again.

  • Woodpecker Lodge is the perfect place for a relaxing break. The lodge is bigger than it looks in the photos, and has absolutely everything you need. The hot tub was lovely and warm, and perfect for relaxing after a long day of walking. The lodge is cosy and very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back again.

Draw the curtains for privacy in a cosy reading nook with views toward verdant rolling countryside. This converted Victorian era barn is brimming with rustic comforts including a wood-burning fireplace and a claw-foot tub next to a heated towel rack.
The barn is a lovely private space for a romantic break for two. It has it's own kitchen, bathroom with roll top bath, sitting room with wood burner, and kingsize bed with White Company bed linens and towels provided. There is a hot tub in the garden for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped with a mini dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, kettle etc.
Swallows' Flight Barn is adjacent to a farmhouse in 1,000 acres of glorious Devon farmland, set in a historic courtyard dating back to 1860. It's one mile to the sea and many beautiful beaches, and a 10-minute walk to the village with great dining.
  • A getaway to rejuvenate and relax, to eat lovely food, chill out, go for walks and star gaze

  • We had a wonderful time at Swallow's Flight - the barn is in a truly stunning location and was the perfect place to relax. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is lovely - we would really recommend staying at Lucia's beautiful place!

  • We cannot fault swallows barn! Lucy has thought of everything - it was such a special place to stay and she was full of recommendations of great restaurants and walks to do locally. We are definitely coming back as we didn’t have nearly long enough to do all the wonderful things the area has to offer. The weather was dreadful but swallows barn was the cosiest place to squirrel away. We now want to come back in the summer. Wholeheartedly recommend.

    Lucy2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had the best time at Swallows Flight, the perfect romantic break. We didn't want to leave, we would recommend 100%.

'Curlew' is on the East beach in the lovely Devon village of Branscombe. It has a unique position right on the beach on a raised elevation, throw open the balcony doors and you are looking out onto the ever changing sea and stunning coastline which is a World Heritage site and area of outstanding natural beauty. There are two fine pubs supplying excellent food and locally brewed ales in the village and amazing cliff path walks East or West.
Living as close as is humanly possible to the sea, without the movement of a boat! The Chalet is actually on a raised platform on the beach, the French doors open onto a balcony where all you can see is the ever changing water and sky.
  • Incredible location. The sound from the sea fills the chalet. Loved it

    Barry2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Curlew Chalet is situated in a truly stunning location, the views out of the window and the sound of the waves breaking on the beach are absolutely memorising. Early morning walks along the beach before breakfast are a must. Loads of interesting places to visit and pubs/restaurants for lunchtime/evening meals out, or just eat in and open out the bi-folding doors to soak in the view ... Our host Jonathan couldn't have been more helpful during our visit, and I would highly recommend this accommodation - Already making plans for a return visit.

    Mike2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Although you do have to walk a few minutes to get to the chalet, it is well worth the walk. The location is beautiful right by the sea, very calm and peaceful inside and comfortable. The walks nearby are great and the cafe down by the car Park is an added bonus should you not want to cook. Definitely worth a visit and Jonathan is great and on the phone should you need his help.

    Sarah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location. Perfect place for a family weekend.

    Sam2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location right on the beach. Clean. If you are going there in the winter or anytime apart from summer, you will need proper footwear to get up and down the hill to the chalet. We did it at night, not a good idea. We loved our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you Jonathan for all your help and messages, will stay here again.

    Dominique2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This chalet is an amazing find; one can enjoy the solitude whilst listening to the waves crashing outside. Alternatively it’s a walker’s dream exploring the local area. Jonathan is an attentive host who responds to communication promptly. I’m looking forward to creating space to rebook later in the year. Thank you 😊

    Lyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect spot to get away & relax, go on amazing walks , beautiful scenery and get cosy with a cup of tea and watch the sea. The cabin had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners & lots of interesting books too.

    Jess2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Really loved our stay at this cosy little chalet. We thought it might be a little chilly but it was really warm and cosy. Big enough for 4 adults and 2 dogs, right on the beach with a beautiful view

  • We had a 4 night break here, with 5 boys (aged 8 -12) it was beautiful house, with stunning views. Despite storm Dennis, we enjoyed the hot tub every day. There are so many outdoor and indoor activities that the boys were fully entertained and we had little need to go anywhere else. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, wanting for nothing during the stay. Highly recommend holiday. The icing on the cake was a beautifully made Victoria sponge on arrival 😀 thank you Cath

Indulge in a luxury spa experience at a tranquil cottage. Follow a garden path from your decked balcony to a private wood-fired hot tub, sauna, hammock, outdoor shower and summerhouse. It's a great spot for stargazing by night and bird-watching by day. Cook in a modern well-equipped kitchen or have meals catered for you and served privately at your cosy cottage. Please note that as a customer service based business our price reflects that we set up the spa and hot tub for you at a time which suits (as long as we are on site) and that all logs for the hot tub and log burner are inclusive !
The cottage is situated in the grounds of our own home. While it is entirely private we are on hand if you need anything and Mark can also provide private catering as a highly regarded chef sourcing the best local produce in Cornwall !
The cottage is in a pretty rural hamlet surrounded by countryside near the market town of Launceston in the county of Cornwall.
  • Tracey and Mark were incredible hosts and the cottage was amazing. Every little detail in the cost place shows the love and thought that went into it which made a mini break better than we could have hoped for. The welcome basket was beautiful (especially the bread) and the spa was heavenly. We were gutted we hadn't booked longer but will definitely be going back. Thanks for a great stay.

    Lucie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Place is even better than on pictures. We really enjoyed everything including easy communications, check in, welcome basket, cottage, spa and area. Highly recommend visiting and will definitely come back.

  • We had a lovely, relaxing weekend; everything was perfect from the welcome with candles, a little basket with amazing bread, butter and the Cornish fudge! Netflix and the fire on and we really chilled out. Having the spa as well was a real treat, we felt thoroughly relaxed and it’s definitely the break we both needed. We will be back to explore more next time!

  • This was our first Air BnB experience and we spent a magical couple of nights in Tracey and Marks beautiful cottage. We were made to feel very much at home (dog included!), and we felt taken care of from start to finish. Hot tub, sauna, and outdoor area is also amazing and we will definitely be returning for a summer escape! Can’t recommend this warm, friendly, welcoming sanctuary enough! x

  • A lovely home-from-home with a friendly and welcoming feel to it. Quiet and relaxing with stunning sea and country views accompanied by birdsong and the sound of the sea. Sheila & Martin are friendly, non-intrusive hosts.

  • Had an amazing weekend at this apartment. Great views and very cosy. Extra touches such as dressing gowns, slippers, towels, beach towels, milk, butter, prosecco and even fresh scones with cream and jam. Martin met us at the door as soon as we arrived and explained everything for us along with some local knowledge of where to eat. The Coddy Shack was a favourite for us. I think it's safe to say we all fell in love with Seaton and this apartment. Will definitely be returning. Perfect weekend.

    Dan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Martin and Sheila for letting us stay in your beautiful home. The added touch of scones on arrival and the thoughtful gesture of eggs bread and milk were truly appreciated. Great hospitality!! Your accommodation was everything we expected and more! Stunning views were enjoyed from this ideal property and walks along the beach we’re loved too! A nice way to relax and unwind for a few days. Thank you, Cherie and Marcus.

  • THEY WERE BOTH VERY FRIENDLY AND CONSIDERATE AND ALWAYS ASKED HOW WE WERE GETTING ON AND IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE

    Philip2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Martin & Sheila are by far the best Host’s. Their hospitality was just amazing.. always made sure to check in on us and 100% insisted on coming to knock or call for them if there was anything at all we needed. Their place is so cosy and personal with its touches, it really feels like a home away from home for sure. The view was outstanding, couldn’t get enough of it. Martin and Sheila’s recommendations in places to visit and to eat were great. They also have a massive box of flayers, maps, menus, etc to help with exploring choices. (I thought that was really cool in doing that since google and the internet doesn’t always do so well haha!) Everyone was so friendly.. we went to a really nice pub for food and drinks called ‘Inn On The Shore’ in Downderry the next town on.. we walked there which took about 15-20 mins, a lovely walk with a great view of the sea. The next town Looe which was the other direction was about a 10min drive, where some lovely little cafes and the best fish and chip shops were. We also did a little shop at Co-op and the farm shop there. There’s so much more to say, however I think you all to go see the place for yourselves and stay with these lovely Host’s. Thank you again Martin & Sheila, We can’t wait to hopefully come again in the summer, we’d definitely stay with you! Chanelle and Herve Xxxx

  • Everything about the place was exceptional, stunning view, cosy and beautiful house, nice treats for us, like prosecco, enjoying the hot tub and the view at the same time. We will definitely come back one day.

  • Lovely apartment with a most beautiful view. We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated the extra touches like a bottle of prosecco and scones in the oven to welcome us with. The hot tub was ready and waiting and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as well as our two pooches! Thank you so much and we will be back in summer hopefully.

  • Sheila and Martin are amazing hosts, extremely welcoming and helpful and left me to enjoy the peace and quiet. The views from the property are amazing, and even at the beginning of February I managed a lunch on the balcony in the sunshine. They have very thoughtfully supplied much more than I was expecting which was extremely comforting being a lone traveller. I will return. Thank you.

They certainly made use of the hot tub and said Katy was super friendly and they loved meeting the dog too! They had a lovely walk in South Milton and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic stay and couldn't have asked for more! The house had everything we needed for eating, drinking and cooking and stayed really warm the whole time. The hot tub was perfect and made the stay extra special. Information of local things to do and shops close by was really helpful too - thank you for such a great experience!

  • Stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and we couldn’t fault a thing. We were greeted on arrival and given tips on the best places to visit in the area, they were very friendly and welcoming. Easy to contact also, they even politely gave us some foil that we’d forgot to buy from the shop! (It’s only a 10/15 minute drive to Tesco.) The fire and the heated floor boards made everything so warm and cosy, just wish we’d booked even longer. Thanks again for such great hospitality!

    Helen2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and restful retreat. The local eggs available from the farm made for a tasty breakfast. Katy had left out several informative local brochures for us to taylor our stay at The Dairy, which were extremely helpful. Ending the day relaxing in the hot tub ! We would definitely stay again with Katy.

We are close to Totnes, Dartmouth, beautiful unspoilt beaches and Dartmoor National Park.
The cabin is fully self contained and cosy, with one bedroom with underfloor heating and living area with an open plan kitchen and a shower room with underfloor heating. It is light airy and very well insulated. Perfect for 2 people but has a sofa bed for a further 2 people. You can hire paddle boards from us and book a relaxing massage in your cabin. We have equipped the cabin well with everything you will need for your stay, with little touches that will make your stay comfortable. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated. You have your own private cottage garden, kitchen with butler sink; washing machine; fridge freezer and small cooker. Good quality bed linen and towels are provided. There is sunny deck outside to chill out and enjoy the peace, the birds singing and the wonderful views. There is a BBQ for warm evenings! There views from the cabin are of rural green and lush Devon. There are plenty of local pubs with great food. Many interesting walks in the green lanes and rolling landscape of Devon. On arrival we give you breakfast of croissant, jam and butter, fresh orange juice, tea, fresh coffee, milk and fresh flowers.
Our small village is well known for its wonderful community feel with sports days etc. Wonderful local pubs serving great food, the award winning Durrant is in the next village and the famous Malsters pub renown for being Keith Floyds old haunt. • This place was outstanding, and amazing hospitality during our stay there!

  • We stayed at the cabin for two nights , it’s a lovely clean comfortable space. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to use the hot tub due to the weather but think a privacy screen/fence would be useful had we used it though as the main houses window do look over the cabin. The village and area are lovely, welcoming and well worth exploring! We visited a number of local pubs for food and drinks and were pleasantly surprised by them all would definitely visit again!

    Kelly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, homely and takes you back to nature cabin! The little valentines touch were completely unexpected and delightful! The quality of the bedding, towels and amenities were as good if not better than any good hotel. Even though storm Dennis had different ideas to what we had for the weekend, a great stay!

    Rebekah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely remote location in a friendly village. The cabin is very clean and very stylish. A perfect couples retreat.

    Katharine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little cabin for a weekend’s stay, lovely little extras provided including some lovely bath robes, milk and coffee (and bubbly!) waiting for us upon arrival. We got good use out of the hot tub - and really enjoyed the peaceful setting in a beautiful part of Devon. Would recommend!

    Rachel2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and cosy, sparkly clean and comfortable, Jo and Gary made us so welcome in their fabulous place, just perfect for a weekend away. Many personal touches made a weekend away extra special. Wonderful, thank you Jo and Gary. 🥰

  • We loved the Cosy Cabin, it was perfect for our time away and the village was in an ideal location! The cabin was spotless and as the name stated, lovely and cosy for the evening time, the cabin has everything you will need for a few days. The local pub a short walk away is very friendly, where we enjoyed a few drinks however would have definitely eaten there! We would highly recommend the Cosy Cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.

    Mike2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to escape it all then this is the place for you! Very clean and tidy with lots of thoughtful extra touches from the hosts. The cabin was nice and cosy and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for. Whilst the cabin is in close proximity to the hosts own home (in their garden) this does not impact on the cabin and it feels very private. Wonderful hosts and would highly recommend.

The barn is nestled in a small hamlet with a handful of houses and makes the perfect base for a spot of isolation. You will be hard pushed to bump into anyone. Get away and soak up our wonderful view over Devon countryside and the fresh air! We take our guests’ health seriously, ensuring every surface is cleaned with disinfectant and we use high water temperatures for all our washing. We also provide cleaning products, soap and hand wash that you can use during your stay.
Our barn is stocked with essential food items as well as an ‘honesty’ mini bar. We also provide logs for the fire, plenty of magazines, books, games, WiFi and a TV. Most guests don’t even need to see or interact with us, the hosts, but only if they wish to, at a safe distance. Our closest village, Stoke Gabriel, is still open for business with a well-stocked village shop offering free food deliveries and The River Shack on the water front of the River Dart is open for al fresco dining and take-away wood-fired pizza. There are countless green lanes, fields, paths, hills, coastal walks and valleys to traipse over with little human contact. We can provide you with a list of all the spots where you can visit. Our place nestles in the small hamlet of Aish above the village of Stoke Gabriel near Totnes. Sit in front of the wood burning stove and peer out of the double height window to the fields and the river Dart beyond. Some mornings, you’ll see our resident male pheasant strutting his stuff on the garden wall. Occasionally, you may also spot a deer or two in the orchard or fields below. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Please see below, and our house manual, for a list of our eco credentials. We have used high quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The king sized bed is super comfy. The sofa bed is brand new and is a pull-out version rather than one of those uncomfortable fold out ones! The kitchen has been made bespoke by a local artisan and comes equipped with everything you might need including a full size oven, microwave and a small hob. As the space is small we can't include absolutely everything but please do ask us if you need anything at all! We also leave essentials such as tea, coffee, milk, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper ready in the kitchen making it that much easier to relax the minute you arrive. The garden is adjacent to our own but has its own little terrace with a small table and chairs - as well as a BBQ. We have kept the place as uncluttered as possible to allow guests to escape the everyday. However, if there is anything you feel you need please just ask and I'm sure we can provide it! Please note that it is best to have your own transport if staying with us as Aish has no amenities. The closest shop, pubs and restaurants are in the village of Stoke Gabriel which is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk away. We are environmentally minded and do as much as we can to help lower our impact on the planet. Here are a few of the things we do: The barn is run entirely on electricity and therefore uses no fossil fuels. We have a 4kw solar panel system on our roof that helps generate electricity for the barn. For any further electricity we use Bulb Energy, which buys all of its electricity from renewable sources. We use biodegradable bin liners and recycled loo/ kitchen rolls. We use refillable options for cleaning products and washing powders that do not come in plastic. We use entirely organic ingredients in our scones and leave you organic, local milk. The teabags we choose (Clipper) have no plastic in them unlike most teabags. You will find reusable shopping bags for you to use in the kitchen. We provide a water filter so you don't need to buy bottled water. We recycle as much as possible.
A short drive away, nearby Stoke Gabriel is a lively village with a well-stocked village shop, two pubs, a BYO bistro, and a cafe on the waterfront by the Mill Pond. Totnes and all its restaurants, cafes, and shops is also close by car.
  • Great place with a beautiful view!

    Alan2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful location - incredible view (when the weather is clear!) The barn is tastefully decorated and very clean. All that we needed was provided, including some extra thoughtful touches for our son. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

  • Such a lovely space, super stylish and super clean. In a quiet setting but close enough to the town and lots of things to do! The guide was amazing and so helpful, especially the restaurant recommendations. We would definitely go back again! Thank you!

  • Susanna was a great host and made sure we were ok in the middle of Storm Dennis! The barn was beautiful and we had a lovely time - would highly recommend this

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was perfect for us, cosy and stylishly appointed. The view out across the valley was just incredible, and we spent quite a lot of time just gazing at it and watching the buzzards circling over a distant field. Susanna was the most thoughtful host, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including baby equipment. It made our first holiday with our little one so special, and easy!

A retro style oozing with charm and quirky features. The Bluebird and the Hot tub have stunning views across the valley. It's light airy and seriously warm!
  • We came for a girls weekend of peace away and had a fabulous time. The hot tub was well used- worth setting an early alarm to watch the sun rise from the tub. We have both said we will be back :-) Lucy & Louise

  • An absolutely amazing break with quirky good vibes. Perfectly set in the middle of nowhere the perfect get away from reality. Plenty of local villages and the national park not too far away. The bluebird penthouse was everything I could of imagined. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we cant wait to return.

    Lynette2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The most magical place EVER. We expected the Bluebird Penthouse to be a beautiful, tranquil place when we booked it and saw the pictures, however they do it no justice - the whole is the epitome of beauty and relaxation. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend away this is THE place. The caravan itself has everything you need and more, and has a perfect full size bathroom including a lush, deep bath and 2 radiators which keep it lovely and warm and space for your towels (which are provided!). The bed is unbelievably comfy and quite large - there are plenty of plugs around the bed to charge your phone etc. The place is absolutely flawless and we literally felt at home there from the second we arrived. We loved how everything was so well considered such as little booklets and notes holding plenty of tips and info about where to go/ eat / see and we wish the weather was a little better so we could of sat outside and had a BBQ! The outdoor area is beautiful with a little table and comfy chairs to relax in and then a little table with 2 chairs which would be great for meals outside !! We will definitely be returning but hopefully for longer than a weekend next time 🤗

    Rachael2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so much fun! The views from the penthouse are incredible and the Land Rover hot tub is a fantastic feature. We will definitely recommend this place to friends looking for a relaxing break.

  • Best friend and I needed a night away as far as away and this hit the spot. Spent all night laughing and having a great time in tub. Before that we ventured for a walk to find great spots for taking pictures. Comfortable stay, welcoming and friendly hosts. Lovely area too!

  • Highly recommend! Really different and quirky, my partner and I loved it! :D would definitely stay again! Thank you Ralph!!

FOC ACCOMMODATION FOR COVID19 FIRST RESPONDERS Boutique, dog friendly, luxury cottage. Nestled in the heart of glorious Devon. with views over a rich, verdant wooded valley. The Cider Barn has been lovingly restored and is now a luxurious holiday home (chosen for Airbnb Plus).
Step into the Barn and you'll feel your worries and cares slip away as your holiday begins. This is a gentle space where calm colours and subtle French influences abound… from the luxurious linens to the antique beds. LIVING Laze on sumptuous velvet sofas around the enormous OKA coffee table or while away an hour or two reading, curled deep amongst the linen cushions on the day bed… The double height living area is fabulously expansive at 44’ yet with subtly lime-washed oak floors and beams, together with considered lighting; it delivers warm, intimate spaces. The eco-friendly ethanol ‘log burner’ (that “hooray” requires no cleaning) and rich scented candles add to the feeling of relaxation and retreat. Summer or winter it is possible to create your own little bit of Danish Hygge here in the heart of Devon. Enjoy the sight of world-class dressage horses as they are led out to graze in the paddocks beyond. And on the subject of the four-legged… we haven’t forgotten that man’s best friend also loves to take time out and snooze so there’s an enormous and deliciously comfortable dog bed (the design has been fully tried and tested by our 4 very discerning terriers). The Cider Barn may be in deepest, unspoilt Devon but it enjoys super fast 4G-boosted WIFI, a Beats Pill, DAB radio, Amazon Alexa, Freeview TV and DVD players (together with a wide selection of films). However, if you prefer a more analogue approach to your holiday entertainment there’s an extensive choice of books, board games and some amazing birdlife. As the sun starts to set you may even catch sight of the wild deer in the fields or a hare or two. KITCHEN & DINING The Cider Barn has a bespoke, hand built kitchen with the darkest of grey slate work surfaces set against Farrow & Ball’s delicious Purbeck Stone. There’s a large six-hob range cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Nespresso, Dyson Animal etc. The kitchen has a rather cool, concrete resin breakfast table, which overlooks the ménage where the neighbouring talented Baronswood Equestrian team break-in the young dressage horses. A separate and more formal dining area for long, relaxing dinners lies just beyond and this seats 6. SLEEPING The Cider Barn, rather uniquely, has direct garden access from both the ground and first floors (it’s built into the valley hillside). Two serene and individually designed bedrooms await on the lower floor… The spacious master has a gorgeous and wonderfully comfortable, king-size bed with pure linen throw and a vintage French sofa. A large double window opens out onto views of a sunken courtyard. There’s an en suite wet room with rain shower and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries. The second bedroom has two finely upholstered antique, single French beds, Gustavian bedside table, hand painted wardrobe and doors leading out into The Cider Barn’s very pretty cottage garden. It’s a lovely place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee and have a peek to see if the water lilies are thinking about coming out for the day. There’s a family bathroom with a sumptuous, freestanding bath fantastic for soaking after a day walking on Dartmoor or for the children to play in a mountain of bubbles. If there’s more than four of you, the Loaf day bed in the living space converts to a double or two singles in the blink of an eye. OIL FIRED HOT TUB Indulging in the uber-trendy Swedish wood-fired steel hot tub is an absolute must. Bathe under the stars with a glass of fizz and the gentle crackle of a Birch log fire. This hot tub uses no chemicals and does not tick over using electricity… so its great for you, the environment (and for our hydrangeas who benefit from the water). OUTDOOR SPACE The Cider Barn has a sweet cottage garden with ornamental pond, hot tub and bistro seating. There’s also a second alfresco dining area in the a former walled orchard (that is a work in progress returning to former status. There's sun loungers, large dining table, kettle BBQ, fire pit and a gas fired Ooni Koda pizza oven. Timeless, rural Devon... deeply rural, winding lanes and a great place to explore. The Cider Barn is set between the ancient villages of Zeal Monachorum and North Tawton and is part of the historic Baronswood Manor darting back to 1492. While you may not want to leave the splendid rural isolation of The Cider Barn, it is superbly positioned for exploring both Devon and North Cornwall. It truly is a place where you can stick a pin in a map and ask… “where shall we go today?” The gateway to Dartmoor… Okehampton, lies just 8 miles away. The renowned jewel of the National Park, Chagford, with its gastro pubs and boutiques, is around 20 minutes away through some idyllic lanes (it’s a great place to enjoy lunch if you’ve visited the National Trust’s Castle Drogo). Head east to visit RHS Rhosemoor or the timeless charm of Clovelly or gems like Woolacombe or Croyde on the North Devon coast. If you’ve crossed Dartmoor National Park don’t miss out on the ultra-fashionable Salcombe, seeing the yachts at Dartmouth or perhaps pick up some antiques in the charming town of Ashburton. Exeter is a fabulous Roman city well worth a visit if only to enjoy lunch overlooking the Cathedral green. The Cider Barn is well positioned for memorable days out into Cornwall to Bude and NT Sandymouth (55 mins), Lanhydrock House (55 mins), Boscastle or Tintagel (60 mins), Port Issac (75 mins), Eden Project (75 mins), Padstow (90 mins).

  • What can I say about the Cider Barn apart from.... WOW, OMG, outstanding and Air BnB gold!! We stayed for my 40th and everything was amazing and Louise was the most attentive and thoughtful Host. There were gifts for the kids (colouring sets and chocs) some bubbles for us and even a birthday cake!! This was better than any five star hotel we’ve stayed in around the world and if you want a truly magical stay in an amazing quiet location then you HAVE to book here.

  • The Cider Barn is a gorgeous hideaway in rural Devon. We came for a weekend of relaxation, and mission accomplished! It was the perfect place to be sheltered from Storm Dennis, very cozy and warm. This place had everything we needed, plus so many thoughtful touches, and we felt right at home. The interior design of the Cider Barn is top notch. Our dog loved the dog paddock where he played and ran around freely and safely. A great bonus if you have a pup with you. Louise was an excellent host, super friendly and helpful. We’d definitely stay at The Cider Barn again!

    Jess2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Cider Barn is exceptionally brilliant and Louise is a top, top host who will go the extra mile to make sure you have a great stay. We hope to return again soon :)

  • We had a fantastic stay and everything exceeded expectations. A beautiful barn, the pictures don’t do it justice. It is clear a lot of time and thought goes into each stay. The prefect get away in a remote location.

  • We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Cider Barn for my mums late birthday present. The barn is beautifully decorated and has sooooo many homely touches. Wellies... Slippers... bath salts... a freezer full of food... afternoon tea and much more. Clearly so much thought has gone into every aspect of the barn. Louise was an amazing host throughout and made sure the wood fire tub was ready whenever we asked. Watching the stars from the tub surrounded by fairy lights and candles was incredible. A real treat in rural Devon. Thankyou!!

A beautiful, recently converted (2016) stone barn in a private 14 acre estate with stunning views of the Glynn valley overlooking the Warleggan river, The Barn at Lower Tredinnick provides a luxury detached cottage with everything you need for a total escape from it all. Booking details: We offer a 3 day weekend break (arrive Fri, leave Mon) and/or a 4 day mid-week break (arrive Mon, leave Friday) or any combination of these, particularly during standard UK holidays (high season). In 2020 these are: spring half term 14-24 Feb, Easter holiday 3-19 April, summer half term 22 May - 1 June, summer holidays 24 Jul - 7 September, autumn half term 19 Oct-2 Nov, Christmas & New Year 2020 negotiable. Out of high season, we are often happy to be flexible so please do get in touch if Mon - Fri or Fri - Mon doesn't suit your plans. The Barn is designed by award winning sustainable local architects, Arco 2. Heated throughout by an under-floor eco air-source system, fully insulated and double-glazed, you will always be warm and comfortable. Electricity is 100% renewable. The kitchen is equipped with A rated dishwasher, washer drier, induction cooker, fridge freezer, toaster, electric kettle and all you might need in a home from home (if there is something you need that's not there we will endeavour to provide it). We supply a small honesty larder of basics, such as tea, coffee, oil and vinegar, salt, pepper & herbs; please replace what you use and/or add to the store. The living room has a French "Godin" woodburner with a generous supply of free logs, providing extra warmth in the winter months and a large comfortable sofa with wonderful views over the valley. Upstairs, there is modern shower room and the bedroom has a comfortable king size double bed and all the space you need to store your belongings. It is decorated in a restful blue and is further enhanced with soft lighting. There are french windows leading to a secluded south facing patio where you can sit out and lose yourself in the peaceful surroundings. Please get in touch for any further information. We are sometimes able to be flexible about arrival and leaving times depending on our bookings. We have a travel cot for babies (babes in arms) if needed at no extra charge. Unfortunately we are not able to accomodate children due to the wild nature of the property (built on the edge of a substantial drop and near a river, etc.) We cannot accommodate dogs or any pets as, however pleasant and obedient, they do have an effect on the local wildlife, which we are trying to encourage. Please bring your own beach towels.
This is cornish countryside at its best. Walk in the woods or stroll by the river. Or just sit outside and enjoy the view. Buzzards fly over head, marsh tits feed on our feeder and the butterflies and wild flowers are prolific. There is no light pollution so on cloudless nights the stars are fantastic. Watch out for shooting stars!
  • A wonderful weekend away, the barn was absolutely spotless with everything you could need inside. The views from every window were beautiful, if you fancy a walk theres plenty of routes around with lots to see! Would highly recommend this place and Hugh!

  • Staying at the Barn was more than we hoped it would be. The location is perfect for some relaxing quality time away from the routines and madness that can sometimes be life. The Barn is stylish and decorated to a high standard. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The welcome touches from Hugh and Kiki were lovely. We would recommend for anyone to stay at the Barn, it was quiet, very comfortable, very clean and we were able to truely switch off for a few days. We loved the remote surroundings and just being able to look out over the river and see the wildlife. The pub not far from the Barn also provided us with a lovely meal. Thank you Hugh and Kiki for a lovely stay.

  • Great location, fantastic views and very warm even in winter!

    Dan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn was immaculate, and perfect for a hideaway after our wedding. Hugh was a fantastic host, and we really appreciated the extra touches that made our stay very special. The house was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a great stay. It was lovely waking up to the sounds of the river and the birds each morning. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Would definitely recommend as it’s near the beautiful Crackington Haven and close to Widemouth and Bude. We had a great time exploring and would love to come back one day.

  • Amazing stay ! Clean, cozy and very stilish tree house. We will definitely be back in the summer.

    Bianca2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely romantic quirky getaway! Would definitely recommended to anyone thinking about booking this treehouse :)

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Booking this weekend away was possibly the best decision myself and my partner have made! The treehouse is located within walking distance of the lovely salcombe, it is a bit hilly, but after a few gin and tonics you hardly notice the slopes! We stayed in mid February, and even with the rain and the wind, we felt incredibly warm and cosy in the beautiful treehouse (which has underfloor heating!!!). Our lovely hosts sent through a massive comprehensive list of not only great places to go for dinner, but a large list of taxi numbers and directions on how to get to and from wherever you need to go! On top of this there was a massive booklet full to the brim of great activities to get stuck into during the day! We opted in for the full cooked breakfast which was winched up to us in a hamper ready for us to cook in the morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing, and not being the smallest chap, I was impressed with the portion sizes! Worth it every time! I think we witnessed the treehouse being tested as storm Denis was still whipping the coastline during our visit, but apart from the occasional whistling wind, you would hardly notice there was a storm outside! It’s beautifully quiet and with my phone on airplane mode it was the perfect weekend to switch off. It is worth noting that the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the sheets, towels and all cooking utensils were absolutely spotless! We are both very much looking forward to our next visit (maybe in the summer next time to make the most of the lovely patio area with the fire pit!). Thanks again!

    Ben2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely unique stay, great location for exploring Salcombe and the wider area. A particularly lovely touch was the option of a breakfast being winched up to the treehouse - we went for the full English and the local produce was excellent. The shower was lovely and warm, a welcoming experience after being out in wet and windy weather!

    Bryony2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful treehouse! Very clean and incredibly well equipped. The underfloor heating and electric wood burner were certainly needed to dry off clothes after a wintry walk! A 20 minute brisk walk to Salcombe along a lovely path, is an added bonus.

    Dave2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say thank you enough for our stay. First and foremost The Treehouse and the surroundings are both absolutely gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfy, in fact the whole place is just so warm and cosy. The shower was absolutely to die for and all the space so well designed. Freya was the perfect host, so informative and organised ahead of arrival and attentive on check in despite her own busy diary. The short walk into Salcombe is really pleasant (bring a torch!) but far enough out of the town that it is it’s own little world. I could not recommend this place enough.

    Will2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Can't recommend the Treehouse at Salcombe Farm enough. It is so comfy and inviting and was absolutelty spotless. The decorations for Christmas were a really nice touch, loved the mistletoe hanging over the bed! Thank you so much Felicity and Freya, can't wait to come back soon.

    Gracie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at the treehouse for a birthday celebration. Wonderful woodland location but still within a short walking distance into Salcombe. The property was very well presented with lovely extra touches. Good communication, hosts very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

Due to Covid19 dates in April and May have been restricted and we are not taking bookings for these months as we will be closed. Please message us should you have a booking enquiry. Stunning studio loft apartment situated just 200 metres from the sea and beach. Wake up to the view of the Sea. Self contained, self catering with kitchen. Private access to apartment from Top Road. High spec finish within. Wifi with all the mod cons! Minimum 2 night stay.
Wake up to the sea at the end of your bed! Some low sloping ceilings due to it being a loft. Always cleaned to a very high standard.
Small friendly community with great local facilities. This is the best place in Cornwall to spend your summer holiday. I know I am biased as I have lived here for 30 years but honestly, it really is! Downderry has a shop, cafe, pub and restaurant all just 1 minutes walk from the house. The pub 'The Inn On The Shore' is situated right on the sea front and is a great place to enjoy local ales over looking the sea. The shop is a good size and has everything you might need with daily deliveries of fresh food as well as a post office. There is a very popular vegetarian cafe called 'Something Different' in the middle of the village. The Blue Plate restaurant is stunning and very popular locally with an excellent reputation for good food and service, it also has a deli that is open daily. Downderry beach is just 100 metres from the loft which is a family friendly beach used by many of the locals. It is sandy with a few pebbles here and there and has lovely rock pools on low tide to explore. Perfect place for kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, swimming and snorkelling. You can walk all along the beach from Downderry to Seaton. Seaton Beach is just half a mile West of Downderry and is lifeguarded by the RNLI from May - September. Seaton also has 1 bistro beach bar, 1 pub, beach cafe, toilet facilities, children play area including a multi games area and a country park with river valley walks so plenty to do. Just 6 miles to the East the stunning Whitsand Bay is a must. 5 miles of golden sands at Low tide. Adventure Bay Surf School operate from Tregonhawke Beach. It has 4 lifeguarded beaches along its coastline. Just check tide times and swim at the lifeguarded beach in between the red and yellow flags. The area is known for its good surfing waves and subsequent rip currents. Kingsand and Cawsand are beautiful and. Stones throw from Whitsand Bay. Lovely little fishing villages with cobbled streets over looking the mouth of Plymouth Sound. Close by is Mount Edgecombe County Park which has a stately home and gardens to explore as well as a restaurant in its orangery. From Cremyll you can get a foot ferry to Royal William Yard which is over the river Tamar within Plymouth. It is a former vittaling yard which has been converted in to stunning restaurants, bars, and Shops. Well worth a visit. The Hoe and the Barbican area of Plymouth are also well worth a visit, the view of Plymouth Sound from on top of the Hoe is fantastic. To the West along the coast you have the popular villages and towns of Looe, Polperro and Polruan and Fowey. All beautiful quaint Cornish coastal locations. If visiting Fowey avoid the crowds and car parking headaches by driving to Polruan on the East side of the Fowey river and get the foot ferry from the harbour over to Fowey. Everything in Fowey is walking distance. The car park at Polruan at the top of the hill is one of the most beautiful locations of any car park in the U.K. I would think! It looks out over St Austell Bay and down the Fowey River. Try it and see! On Wednesdays in the summer you can go on board a guided tour of the RNLI Lifeboat for a donation of your choice. To get to the North Coast of Cornwall is around 1 hour for places like Polzeath, Perranporth. St Ives a little further at about 1.5 hour drive. The Eden Project is about a 1 hour drive. Large supermarkets can be found at Liskeard (Morrisons) Saltash (Waitrose) Plymouth (Sainsbury's/Tesco/Asda). All but Morrisons do online ordering and home delivery to Downderry if you need to do a large grocery shop while you are here. So much to see and do both close by and a little further a field.
  • Booked James place for a suprise present for my parents. They said they had a great time and enjoyed the amazing views from the apartment.

    Molly2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The whole loft was in perfect order and The cooking facilities were wonderful for us to have a home cooked meal and everything was in working order. Everything was wonderfully clean and felt like home and that all adds to the desire as a guest to leave it as we we found it. If you want a little nook and cranny to hide away then I’d whole heartedly recommend.

  • An absolutely gorgeous place to stay for a break away from it all. We were staying during Storm Dennis and I can’t think of a cosier place to hunker down - thick stone walls and a roaring fire.. very cosy! We loved going for coffee and cake at the nearby Boscastle Farm Shop followed by a blustery walk along the cliffs. Stunning. Caroline is a wonderful host. Hope we can come back one day.

One of a small group of wooden lodges built in a quiet valley on the banks of the river Teign in Dartmoor National park. Woodland walks from the doorstep. Wild birds and flowers, deer, fishing (day/week permit) starry skies. Small play area. The lodge is warm and cosy and well equipped for up to 5 people maximum. A fast road network only 10 mins away gives an easy journey and access to the beaches in South Devon, North Cornwall and the south west of England.
The only sound at Mole End is the river which runs behind the cabin. Fallow deer are spotted regularly from the windows, and kingfishers and dippers are often seen on the riverbank. With very little light pollution, the stars at night are fantastic. Four steps lead up to a porched entrance which opens into a small hallway with coat hanging space. The living room is bright and spacious with French doors which open onto a large, south west facing, covered veranda where one can enjoy the sun, and make use of the gas barbecue. The living room with high pitched ceiling, has ample comfortable seating and a dining area. There is a coal effect electric heater for instant warmth and night storage heaters for background heat. The lodge heats up and retains it's warmth, so it is very cosy. There is a television, DVD player, CD player and MP3 docking station. Also a selection of books and games for anyone to enjoy. For children there is a toy box and “ wet weather box” for those who want to be creative. The well equipped kitchen opens sociably off the living room, with electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, bread machine, kettle and toaster. The double bedroom which overlooks the river is at the rear of the lodge. It has generous storage and a wall mounted heater. Please note that bed linen is not generally supplied but special arrangements can be made. There are duvets, rugs and pillows on all the beds. The bathroom also has river views , a full sized bath with integral shower, wash basin, w.c. , heated towel rail, immersion heater and washer/tumble dryer. Upstairs from the gallery there is a high view of the forest, where deer can often be seen. Here there is a cabin bed to curl up with a book but which can be used for a 5th guest. The twin room under the eaves looks out to the river. It has ample storage and an electric wall heater.
Many activities are available nearby; walking, riding, cycling, golf, fishing. Permits for fishing on the Upper Teign , which is a "catch and return" river can be bought locally. There are wonderful country pubs and restaurants nearby, with the pub at Fingle Bridge along the bridle path by the river.
  • Perfect cabin to slow down and enjoy the surrounds for a few days.

    Rupert2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely lodge right by the river. Gorgeous nature and lovely walks right from the front door. Joy gave us a great tip about getting croissants from the local shop which was delicious advice. Lovely place for a get away with friends to mark the start of 2020!

    Kate2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mole End is extremely clean, cosy and welcoming. All you could need is provided from utensils to a washer/dryer. Joy, the host, is very accommodating and very easy to communicate with. She provides lots of information prior to your visit and also in the lodge which is useful during your stay. Would highly recommend staying here, an ideal location to explore the surrounding area or further afield.

There is also a hot tub on the patio. The garden backs onto a paddock which has horses grazing. There are also free range chickens and ducks - you are welcome to collect your own eggs. • The location is fantastic, local beaches nearby recommended by Katy were lovely. Great space, underfloor heating was a welcome addition and the hot tub and balcony area was beautiful to sit and watch the stars. Very clean, would definitely visit again!

    Elizabeth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time at Katy's farm house, it was clean spacious and cosy. The hot tub was fantastic and we really enjoyed seeing the animals. We watched some or the classic DVDs provided and had a much needed chilled few days.

    Antonia2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely break at the hayloft, relaxing, quiet environment perfect for escaping the real world! Added bonus was the hot tub!

    Jodie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The best part of the trip was waking up to horses outside your bedroom window, plus a couple of ducks and the odd cockerel. Cannot recommend enough!

  • The Hayloft is a lovely space and we had a lovely weekend. Hoping to be back soon

    Tracy2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing weekend stay here! If you need to leave the house you will probably need to drive as the country lanes are very narrow. Hot tub was so relaxing and the hayloft was really homely. Friendly horses next door. Bring milk if you want a cuppa. Would definitely recommend to a friend! Thank you Katy so responding via message to us and making everything so easy!

    Georgia2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty scenery, lovely hot tub, and friendly and helpful host - Thank You!!

    Brandon2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great 2 night stay at Katy’s place, location is fab if you want something out of the way in the middle of nowhere. The air bnb itself is next to the main house but very private. The hot tub and terrace outside are not overlooked so it felt like we were completely on our own which was lovely. The pictures don't do it justice as there was a lot more space than we were expecting, and the house was super clean and modern. Just a tip if you're a light sleeper you may be woken by the roosters but in general we couldn't hear a thing it was so quiet around. Overall would be very happy to stay again!

In a peaceful, charming Devon hamlet, a converted bakery near to a 15th Century thatched cottage, with lovely views. Corona Virus update: After the Government's advice issued on the 23rd of March 2020 about travel bans and self-isolation at home, we are sadly not taking any bookings for the foreseeable future. We hope this is all as short-lived as possible and we hope to open as soon as it is permitted.
The room was last used as a bakery in the 1950s and still has much of the original bread oven. Recently converted with a modern shower room. Kitchenette with kettle, toaster and small refrigerator. Cooking facilities of microwave and fast induction hob. There is a very comfortable kingsize bed and a 4ft sofa bed for an adult or two small children. An optional cosy bunk bed (full length) above the old oven at the back of the Bakery can serve as an extra bed. Travel cot also available. Breakfast: Breakfast is provided for you in the Bakery for you to eat at your own leisure. This includes local free range eggs, bread, brioches, muesli and cereal, yoghurt, fruit and a selection of jams and honey. We also provide teas, coffee, milk and fruit juice. Use of washing machine, dryer and larger fridge/freezer in laundry outhouse.
We are 8 miles from Exeter and 10 miles from Moretonhampstead, "The Gateway to the Moor". There are many excellent walks nearby and Haldon Forest is 8 minutes away with its many cycle tracks. There is a choice of excellent pubs locally. 9 minutes from the A38 and 12 minutes from the A30.
  • The Old Bakehouse is a compact but comfortable place to stay - just as listed. Ben and Libby are great hosts and they provide those little extras such as cereals, bread and eggs for breakfast which are particularly welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the opportunity to explore the area.

    Anthony2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the old bakehouse, it exceeded our expectations, it is cosy but there is enough space to stretch out, the bed is extremely comfortable and the views from the bed are beautiful. It is really peaceful and we had 2 great nights sleep, we took our small dog with us and Ben and Libby were very accommodating, they provided us with walk suggestions and we went on a lovely walk up the Teign river and the daffodils were out in full force! we had dinner and lunch and two lovely local pubs The Nobody Inn and The Manor Inn - the food was delicious and they allowed our dog Doris in as well :-) All in all I would highly recommend staying in this lovely bakehouse. Kind regards Harriet

  • What a wonderful cottage, set in a beautifully peaceful part of Devon. The cottage had everything we needed and so nice to have some of the basic provisions ready for us on arrival. We spent the weekend walking on Dartmoor, and this cottage was an ideal and cosy base. Thoroughly recommend it.

  • A warm welcome and beautifully clean. A great location for exploring the nearby woods. Don't expect to cook a big meal as the kitchen is very compact, but it is beautifully clean and well equipped, and we were pleasantly surprised by the nice touches left for us by the hosts.

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock.
  • Our stay was wonderfully relaxing (I have been using that word a lot!!). The house felt like a home away from home. It was perfectly located, cozy, warm and so welcoming. Zoe was also very responsive and supportive (even to my silly questions) I would happily come back and recommend!

    Berangere2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable character cottage with thoughtful touches. Private location but very close to local amenities. 100% recommended and we will be going back!

    Julie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Coach House is well located and has everything you need. The view out onto the Moors from the garden/ drive is a great start to your day as you head out. You can easily walk from the Coach House out onto the Moors , a real bonus. The log burner kept us cosy on a winter break. The fresh flowers, pint of milk and Jail ale were thoughtful touches , thank you.

    Veronica2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location - walking distance from the pub and Dartmoor on your doorstep! Lovely cosy place, warm and everything you need.

    Samantha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at The Coachhouse for two nights. We had a lovely relaxing stay; we knew Zoe was on hand should we need our assistance but liked that we were given our privacy. The accommodation was perfect for our needs and the location is wonderful for exploring the moors. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend staying here.

    Claire2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location with superb access on foot to the moors. Cottage was lovely and well equipped. Recommended!

    Jane2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely place. Directions were perfect, found it very easily. Parking and finding our way in were also very simple. The log burner was the best! We loved spending the evenings drying by the fire after our wet walks on the moor. Zoey happily topped up the log basket in the second day after we had used the first lot up. The kitchen is well equipped, we were able to make dinner each night very easily. Great sized bathroom with a separate bath, perfect for soaking your muscles after walking all day. To top it off the bed was also very comfy. The courtyard was secure which was helpful when letting our little dog out in the morning and before going to bed. Will definitely be visiting again

  • We stayed here in January 2020 and the weather wasn’t great as expected so we enjoyed the local pubs and warm fire at Zoe’s place which was kindly prepared for us. We got to see some lovely ponies on our trip and would recommend a visit!

  • A great little place with lots of charchter in the heart of Devon. Would stay again.

    Matthew2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We can only confirm what everyone else is saying that this is fantastic spacious accommodation and we cannot recommend it highly enough. The Hope & Anchor in Hope Cove was shut during our stay due to flooding so we ventured into Salcombe and visited the Victoria Inn. Delicious food and pleasant surroundings

    David2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here for a weekend away and it was just what we needed! We were able to switch off from everything and relax, there were many places to go and explore and it’s only a short drive from the shops. The enclosed garden is great however dogs will be able to get out! We had a lovely weekend and would definitely come back!

    Charlie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an lovely weekend staying at Sam's place. It is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Despite living in Cornwall, the South Hams and East Devon are areas we hadn't visited much, but this weekend enabled us to really explore. Sam communication was excellent, informative and friendly. It's the storm season...! But with better weather / lighter evenings, we would have easily been able to walk to Hope Cove. We would definitely recommend it here.

    Tommy & Sonya2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet spot in a beautiful part of Devon only a short drive from Salcombe. The most spectacular coastal walks are easily accessible from The Lair and plenty of places to visit too. The cottage was beautifully clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The super king bed was so comfy. Sam left a lovely bunch of daffodils in the sitting room along with other nice touches. You can even buy lovely pieces of handmade pottery that are displayed in the cottage. The wifi was a bit intermittent but we did manage to connect iPhones and an iPad to the wifi. There was no mobile phone signal for our phones but that might not apply to all networks. We would definitely go back to Sam's place.

    Lottie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay! Beautiful location and the house was exactly like the pictures, great comfortable space! Was able to bring my dog along too which was amazing. Note there is absolutely no signal anywhere around so grab the WiFi code before coming. Hopefully will return again!

    Iris2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly relaxing place, very peaceful and beautiful scenery. The house was very comfortable, especially the bed and sofas! Thoroughly recommended and would definitely stay again!

    Jo2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Lair is in a beautiful and rural part of Devon, yet not totally isolated. The property is well equipped, fantastically cleaned, homely and well decorated- something which is more difficult to find when looking for a place that accepts dogs too! Value for money is excellent as you get a lot of space both outside and inside all to yourself! Communication prior to our visit and check-in couldn’t have been any smoother. We were left to ourselves, yet, it was reassuring to know that help/advice was only around the corner if needed. Perfect little set up for a relaxing weekend away to switch off and explore the coasts and moorlands! Thank you.

  • We Loved our long weekend stay at Beverleys accomodation. Location is quiet with beautiful views but not far from all major routes so it was easy to find. Beverley was so helpful with tips on local places to eat & local walks. Animals on the farm are very friendly, especially the cats. Hot tub was a real treat. Comfy bed & everything you could need in accomodation. Would thoroughly recommend staying here

The hot tub was amazing 👌 extremely nice and outstanding host, didn’t hesitate to offer her help when needed (we forgot milk). Pictures could have been better but it was a nice surprise to see the place in real life. *****

    Gary2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

    Julia2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fab place! I'd looked online for log cabins with hot tubs but there wasn't the option to stay for 1 night only and they were SO expensive. Pretty glad I found Beverley's place on air bnb! So much better than a log cabin! A beautiful 1 bed guest house with a huge bedroom and bed. So warm and snuggly and lots of Christmassy touches which was cute. The hot tub was... INCREDIBLE!! Plus lots of animals around outside which we loved. We will definitely be returning!!

    Kerry2020-01-03T00:00:00Z

  • Upper Deck is just fab! We totally recommend as a base for exploring the South Hams. It’s super close to the Best beaches. Especially South Milton Sands. The accommodation is very private. We were met by a lovely man with some umbrellas as it was absolutely chucking it down! Much appreciated! The bed is so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! The kitchen space is fab. Good size shower and cloakroom. Lots of little personal touches around the room. We will certainly be back! If you are looking for a base to explore the area you can’t go wrong here!

    Jenna2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lou is a lovely host and the upper deck is an extraordinary location to get a break from the routine. The place is comfy, decorated with love and you have everything you could wish for. The surroundings are breath taking, especially when the sun comes out. I highly recommend staying at the upper deck for a while...you will switch your mind off, I can promise that.

  • I booked a stay at The Upper a Deck as part of a Christmas present for my Mum. Being from Devon ourselves, we were familiar with the Salcombe area - but it was nice to try somewhere more off the beaten track. The room was sparkling clean, spacious, stylish and comfortable. We had everything big we needed for our night away, including little personal touches from Lou. There are three radiators in the annexe, so don’t worry about being cold in the winter - mum and I were very toasty. There were even two hot water bottles, just in case! I’d highly recommend The Upper Deck and hopefully will be back again soon :)

    Alex2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

A rustic stargazer where you can fall asleep watching the stars and wake up to the sound of birdsong! A rural spot, far from street lighting, the sky lights up on clear nights. Simple, basic, but unusual accommodation. This is a wooden A-frame structure with enough room for two to sleep in with a mainly glass roof.
Where else can you stay in a stargazer?! Our large Devon stone house in a quiet valley on the edge of the pretty village of Holcombe Rogus, surrounded by countryside. The house is half a mile from the village, which has a small shop, a garage and a pub. The Prince of Wales pub does pub food as does the Staple Cross Inn which is about 3 miles away. (food not available every day) Both Dartmoor and Exmoor, and the north and south Devon coasts, are about an hour away, and there are plenty of pretty walks close by, including the Great Western Canal. The cathedral city of Exeter is 40 minutes away, and the market town of Taunton 30 minutes. Nearby Wellington and Tiverton have a range of shops and supermarkets. There is quick and easy access to the M5 at both junctions 26 and 27, and is a 15 minute drive from Tiverton Parkway Train station. We also have available a single room. Please see separate listing.
  • Neat star gazing opportunity in a warm and relaxing way. Lovely quiet place.

  • Simply amazing with lovely hospitality. Couldn’t have found a better place to stay surrounded by beautiful nature. Thank you again Tess and Richard!!!

    Charlotte2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • COSY, FUN AND QUIRKY! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our night in the little stargazing hut! Tess and Richard were kind and friendly hosts, and made us feel very welcome. We had the use of a private bathroom during our stay, with a lovely hot and powerful shower, and the conservatory to keep our bags in. Tess and Richard very kindly allowed us to bring our Thermomix, so we spent the Saturday evening sharing their kitchen, as we cooked a Mushroom Risotto, and enjoying a chat with them. So much nicer than going to a restaurant! In view of our dietary preferences, we used our Thermomix on the Sunday morning, too, to make a green juice and smoothie. Richard also made us a loaf of homemade malted bread, which was lovely. Cereals and preserves were also on offer. The stargazing hut itself was very cosy, and there were plenty of duvets to keep us warm. A fun way to sleep under the stars, and a very enjoyable experience all round!

    Karen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay with Tess and Richard who were wonderful hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hut was great and we could see so many stars and ended up downloading a stargazing app so we could tell where the constellations were, just beware of a few small friends if you’re frightened of bugs/spiders but they kept to themselves. Would highly recommend for a few night to just chill out and spend some quality time away from busy day-to-day life.

    Rachel2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tess and Richard were very welcoming and relaxed. The star gazer was very cosy and a lovely space to stay. I would thoroughly recommend a night there!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Tess's and Richard's place as well as their warm hospitality.

    David2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what it said- lovely star gazing hut with cozy vibe. Intentionally basic to not distract from nature & starry nights. We had a lovely weekend

    Luis2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tess & Richard are fabulous hosts, really helpful with tips on where to eat etc during our stay. The hut is lovely and cosy - plenty warm enough with the extra duvets we were given. Lovely breakfast too, and really useful to have use of the conservatory for storing belongings, and enjoying the evenings. Overall a fab trip, and was really happy to meet such lovely hosts!

Ample parking [a short walk along a path] is provided as is a useful storage shed next to The Hut to maximise your space inside. The Hut now has it's own hot tub, which is perfectly situated to enjoy a tipple whilst enjoying spectacular views across open countryside to Dartmoor. As well as the hot tub, outside The Hut is plenty of space to unwind with lounger chairs, picnic table and chimenea. There is ample room to pitch a tent for additional guests by [small extra cost by arrangement] but please note there are no other toilet or shower facilities available.
This is a beautiful place to live, a gem we found a few years ago and have gradually been transforming into our forever home. We love the combination of privacy with rural living and proximity to the wonderful South Hams places, events and culture. Waking up to gorgeous views, listening to the birds and countryside noises is bliss.
  • What a fantastic place to stay this was. Lovely little remote location with all the amenities required to enjoy your stay. Hosts are fantastic. Couldn't recommend enough and even thinking about booking again for next year.

  • We had a really lovely weekend away here, Alasdair was there to greet us on arrival and show us around the shepherd’s hut. We had a lovely meal at the Church House Inn which was 15 minutes’ walk away with a great atmosphere. The hot tub was the real highlight and really made our trip! We also visited Thurleston Sands which was a great beach nearby and Kingsbridge which was a lovely little town. The Shepherd’s Hut was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again.

  • Fantastic Shepard’s hut with everything you need! Small, Warm and cosy. A stunning peaceful location, outstanding area just 15 minutes to the coast. Siobahn & Alistair were excellent hosts, seeing them at the local pub and even gave us a lift to the bus stop! Loved the Hot Tub.

  • Siobahn’s place is in a great location with real privacy. The hut itself is clean and well equipped with everything you could need. The hot tub is to a good standard and has a nice outlook over the neighbouring fields and rolling hills.

  • We had the most wonderful stay here and I would recommend it to anyone (in fact I will be!). Alistair and Siobahn are such lovely hosts, they really go above and beyond and are so easily contacted when/if needed. The place itself is so cute and has everything you need plus a hot tub!! We came for a long weekend for my boyfriends birthday and it’s a perfect base to explore the local area - it’s only a £20 taxi home from Salcombe if you fancy a few bevs. The pub that’s a ten minute walk is lovely too with great food and friendly staff. Thank you so so much, we loved it ❤️

  • We had an amazing stay at Siobahn’s. The hut was warm, cosy and spacious with everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlight and the views of the fields were amazing. For a breath of fresh air and some down time it was the perfect place for us!
