Embrace the quirky, cosy interiors in this romantic getaway. Open the doors to the terrace, and let the sounds of nature waft through the lodge. Fire up the BBQ, enjoy a good meal and then spend the evening in the hot tub gazing up at the stars.
Located in one of Maidstone in Kent's oldest roads, neighbouring buildings used to provide accommodation to pilgrims on their travels to Canterbury in medieval times. Perfect for anyone looking to get away from it all and for those looking for something different, the quirky interior of the Lodge is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern. It offers a romantic hideaway, with exclusive use of the brand new hot tub jacuzzi directly outside your door, and a low height mezzanine sleeping area on a futon mattress, in the double height roof where you can star watch in bed, listening to the local owls. The fully equipped, open plan kitchen/lounge area is cosy in the winter with underfloor heating, and equally delightful in the summer when the bi-fold doors can be opened up to enjoy BBQ's on the deck. With Wifi access, Bose mini sound system, Nespresso coffee pod machine and a flat screen TV, you can also keep in touch with the outside world if you really want to. The Lodge is perfectly located for those who want a car free holiday in the corner of our 1.5 acre garden, about 60m from the main house. Please note that while the Lodge is completely private the hot tub area is not, as you are in the garden shared with our house. A short walk will take you to the ancient village green of Bearsted with its Butcher / Deli / Bakery and a choice of excellent restaurants. For those wishing to take the train, the village station provides services to the coast or to London, to give you transport choices. 5 minutes by car will get you to the award winning Leeds castle, while a 40-60 minutes drive will take you to the many beautiful historic towns of Kent including Tenterden, Canterbury and Tunbridge Wells, as well as the beautiful Kent coast line and the EuroTunnel. Perfectly located for weddings and celebrations at the award winning Orangery in Maidstone, why not make a holiday out of your stay? Subject to availability The Lodge can be booked in conjunction with it's sister property 'Knocklofty', a one minutes walk away and can accommodate up to 4 people.

This newly renovated barn is nestled within the grounds of the listed Evegate Manor.
Situated in the heart of the Kentish countryside it offers easy access to London via Ashford international station, is just 10 mins drive from the Channel Tunnel and 25 mins from Dover. Canterbury is just 20 min away and offers a great nightlife with bars and restaurants. The barn has one double bedroom but also has a double bed settee within the living area. This would not be particularly comfortable for adults but would be fine for children or one adult. Guests have the opportunity to be completely independent within this property. There is a fully working modern kitchen within the barn with a convection hot plate, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a large American fridge freezer, breakfast is not provided. Unfortunately there is no washing machine or tumble dryer within the barn but there are facilities in another area that are available for use at a small additional cost. We are a very friendly and accommodating family and are happy to make our guests part of the family. Any help or advice whilst you are here is no problem to us. The area we live in is very rural but is still within easy reach of towns and city's. London is just 37 mins away if you chose to use he high speed rail like from Ashford.

Watch the stars from the wood fired hot tub while your bbq sizzles over the fire bowl. Listen to the owls, watch bats swoop, walk through stunning woodland and meadows, play croquet, or lie in the hammock to read. This is a working pump house in the grounds of a Kentish farmhouse in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The comfortable king bed is high up on a mezzanine floor (reached by ladder), in a charming sitting room with wood burning stove.
The Pump House is simple accommodation, a cosy shed in a wild woodland garden. The main space is a single room with woodburning stove, simply furnished with a comfortable bed on a platform above the PumpHouse, accessed by a ladder. Outside is a firebowl, wood fired hot tub fed with fresh water straight from the borehole next to the Pump House, dining area and chairs. A second bed, a camp bed suitable for a child, can be made up on the ground floor in the Pump House. Additional space, suitable for two adults or more, may be available in our shepherds huts or bell tents next to the Pump House, but please check before booking. It’s really all about being outside in the wild English garden, chilling out by the pond, star watching from the hot tub, and walking in the beautiful and extensive protected landscapes that surround the property. The Hook and Hatchet pub is less than 15 minutes walk away, and the Woodland Trust manages hundreds of acres of outstanding natural beauty, woodlands and meadows next to the property. Many native plants and animals including owls, buzzards, badgers, bats, woodpeckers, butterflies, slow worms, and much more are regularly seen. We will give you maps to a number of great walks, including a variety of circular walks that take in a pub (or two) on the way. If it’s a beautiful day sitting in your private garden can be blissfully peaceful, if it’s chillier stay cosy inside next to the wood burning stove. There is a wood fired cedar hot tub right next to the Pump House, set up for the exclusive use of Pump House guests. No chemicals are used, pure fresh clean water is used for every booking. It takes almost 2000 litres of water and two to three hours to fill up, and can use over 6 bags of wood and a further three or four hours to bring it to a suitable temperature. We are very happy to fill and start to heat the tub before you get here, for which a £30 cash fee is payable on arrival. Otherwise we will clean and fill the tub and give you instructions on how to manage it yourselves. You can either purchase wood from us, at cost, or bring your own. This is a “digital detox” area - mobile signal can be poor, depending on your provider, and Wi-fi signal is only available in the main house. The track to the property is an unmade road, it may be slippery or rough during or after rain, please take care.
The property is in a secluded location on the North Kent Downs area of outstanding natural beauty. It is in the midst of stunning countryside, and next to the Hucking Estate, which is owned by the Woodland Trust. It is ideal for getting away from it all, with many beautiful walks and cycle rides on the doorstep. If you have a car, Faversham, Whitstable and Canterbury are a short drive away. Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Sissinghurst, Ightham Mote and many other beautiful houses and gardens are highly recommended for visits.

A top-notch conversion of a small flint and brick cart shed alongside a beautifully restored 300-yearold oak barn. It feels private too, with its own little courtyard garden, colourful borders, terracotta pots, teak table and chairs – catch the morning rays with an al fresco breakfast. Inside all is fresh, bright, light and comfortable. Beautiful oak floors are toasty underfoot, there are chunky beams, thick fabrics, white sofas, French doors out the courtyard and heaps of books. The bedroom makes great use of the space with its fine painted bed, so settle down with best linen, feather and down duvets, views across the garden, and a fully-tiled walk-in shower that’s state of the art. A generous welcome basket includes a bottle of wine should you be staying the week, the flat-screen TV comes with oodles of DVDs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen in one corner and kind owners next door to provide continental breakfast or evening meals should you want them; lovers will take root. There’s walking through woods and paths for the more adventurous, and Canterbury Faversham and Whitstable are near. Nearby Ashford has high speed train link to london only 38 miutes away. Charming.
We are located in a listed "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" surrounded by fields and woods...mainly sweet Chestnut. There are plenty of good walks in the area including the famous "Pilgrims Way". Just wandering around the local country lanes with hedgerow wildlife, farms and country pubs is highly recommended. This is true "Darling Buds of May" country.

Stay in the Artist's Barn! Set in a beautiful garden in the charming village of Wye, the Barn is a delightful place to spend the night and escape from the world. It's a unique experience, filled with lovely paintings, porcelain cows, a miniature doll's house, and all sorts of unexpected delights. An ideal way to experience life in an English village, or explore the countryside of East Kent, and the nearby sights of Canterbury and Dover.
The Barn has a sofa bed which converts into a very confortable double bed. There is a small sink and a separate bathroom with shower and loo. Tea and coffee is provided, and breakfast is available at the King's Head pub across the Green, the Coffee Shop, or you can get fresh croissants at the nearby Baker.
Wye is a quintessential British village. You'll love strolling the quaint high street, which is only two minutes' walk away, to experience life at the village pub, pick up some warm buns from the bakery in the morning, or stroll through the churchyard. It's a perfect place to use as a base for longer trips to Canterbury (check out the cathedral), Dover (see the famous cliffs!), or a wander through the Downs. There is a farmer's market right outside on the Green every first and third Saturday of the month, where you can pick up Kentish produce including bread, cheese, jams, and snacks, as well as locally-made crafts.

Welcome to my cosy little home. If you want to explore Faversham and the Kent coast and countryside, this is a good place to start. I have a single neat room to lay your head and your back pack. I'm a stones throw from the creek, country walks and a short stroll into this gorgeous historic town. Pubs galore and a diary full of summer festivals and street fairs. Log fires in the winter. I am very happy to agree a longer stay if your job brings you to the area.
As you can see from the photos, Summer and Buddy are house mates, so probably best to like dogs. They are friendly and love guests.
