Accommodation out of pleasant weather. The small hamlet is very welcoming with dogs, cats, chickens, free-range biquettes. Be careful the area is very remote (the road can be scary), but the view is impressive.

Do not forget to feed the cats, they will be the happiest in the world!

We had very pleasant moments at the farm of Leonore and Charles. The hospitality and kindness of our hosts accompanied us throughout our stay. The Devèze is a perfect place to disconnect and have a good rest of a hectic city life. The barn is part of an old stone farmhouse, which has been renovated and furnished by the hosts themselves with great care and love, it feels really good! The icing on the cake is the terrace with panoramic views of the mountains and forests of the Cevennes, a truly peaceful place. I warmly recommend!

We had a lovely couple of days, enjoying autumn walks in the forest. The farm is secluded with lovely nature all around. Our kids enjoyed playing in the garden with the dogs. A cabin in the mountains like no other! Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for peace and quiet, along with amazing amenities to relax and enjoy with friends. Julien even drove to try and find us when we got lost - it made us feel like he cared and that we were in good hands. Americans should note there is no WiFi and little cell service - but getting off the grid is a good and healthy thing to do once in a while! I wish we could have stayed longer.

A very warm cottage lost in the middle of the mountain of Bougès. It looks like a house, it is very well equipped. An adventure to live for all those looking for calm and disconnection (very little Internet and no TV). The opportunity to find yourself far from everything but in a cocoon conducive to good times with the family. Impossible to be bored. Our kids spent their time playing legos and board games left behind. Count still 30 to 40 minutes to reach the "big" nearest town, Florac. The activities around are many: donkey rides, swimming in the river in summer, visit the farm of the Cevennes, nature walks around the cottage, observation of stars far from light pollution, etc. In short, he loves the (true) nature, the silence and do not forget to chat with Leonore and Charles who will be happy to share with you their work on the farm nearby.

Leonore and Charles were very welcoming. The cottage of Vieil Jouve is in the middle of the forest at the end of an unpaved road accessible with a tourist car. We stayed 5 nights with young children (4 years old). With their advice we were able to go on horseback for us and pony for children in the woods and very nice walks in the area around the cottage. The pedagogical farm of the Cevennes and Florac are also nice excursions nearby. Thank you for the apple juice, the jam, the good homemade breads, the pretty bouquet of flowers and your welcome. It was a little cold in late May but thanks to the wood stove the living room is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for a cottage so rustic. See you soon, we highly recommend it for an experience away from it all.

A few houses lost at the end of an increasingly small and spectacular road in the middle of the Bougès massif: we arrive at a sort of impressive end of the world. Leonore and Charles will be able to explain it to you with pleasure and passion: the local life, their activities, their projects, the geography, the history camisard ... All this enlivened of visits, picking and meals given to the horses. In the end we take full advantage of the isolation because the human heat is there too ... The pleasure comes also from the lodging (Vieljouve-high) superbly renewed (one enters there as in a house inhabited, it is what one prefers!), The network of pedestrian paths passing near and which offers the possibility to visit the massive and very solid region at the level of the tourist reception (simple information, more erudite books, maps + topo + cards hikes, signposts pedestrian very rich) ... We will come back with pleasure and we wish a good continuation to Leonore and his family! Gaël, Charlotte, Margot and Bonnie (7 and 3 years old)

The owners are very friendly. The studio is well equipped with kitchen utensils and basic necessities (oil, salt, coffee, etc.). Which is a plus considering that there is no supermarket within 30min drive. The heating is powerful for cool evenings. There are even board games to pass the time. A hiking trail of a minimum of 6 hours, if done in full, passes through the cottage. The only downside is the bed which is a bit too soft. But do not hesitate to spend your stay there.

An incredible experience! The house is away from everything, perched along a mountainside, it feels like alone in the world. The living room is super welcoming, it can easily be up to 8, and nothing is missing in the kitchen. The 2 bedrooms are very comfortable. The best place is perhaps the terrace, facing south and giving an extraordinary view of the Cévennes: ideal at any time of the day! From the house, many walks are possible (thank you again for the IGN map). In conclusion, a perfect place to rest for a few days, get lost in nature and enjoy your loved ones! I highly recommend

Good news: have found the lost paradise! Incredible landscapes, a welcome to the height, a nature and a rhythm as in our memories of children. Small, ultra functional nest in the hamlet of Bougès. Fresh water source beside. Thanks to Solange, André and their loved ones for these moments and these shared spaces! Out of time, out of everything.

Host extremely helpful, cheerful and communicative. We feel comfortable right away. She does not just rent but loves her country and answers our questions about local and cultural aspects. We read many books made available by Solange and André, we did the hikes indicated by André on a topo map and one that comes in all hiking guides. Very beautiful landscape, beautiful view, we are permanently at altitude. Distraught by the narrowness of the access road to this cul-de-sac village, we decided not to go down and live retired in our cottage in peace and with the view. This was the right choice: relaxing relaxation without a car wrong and through. Just go up with the necessary provisions. It's not the distance that takes the lives of people here, it's the time: in the Cevennes and the Haute Ardèche, we must count in time and not in km to go from A to B. We recommend this option if you are not a hardened city dweller looking for all comforts and you like genuine things. Whoever comes here should not despair on the descent. There are actually a handful of houses up there and the house of Solange and Andre is just perfect. It offers everything on relatively small square meters to enjoy the holiday. And really spectacular are the views and the noticeable peace and quiet. It's as if the hectic life is backing up. The desire to leave the mountain comes later. So long is a warm-hearted and interested hostess who likes to give advice. A place to take a break. We highly recommend the cottage La Dylo! Comfortable and quiet, very clean, beautiful views, we enjoyed our stay. Ideal to enjoy hiking around. The hosts were hospitable and kindly gave us vegetables from their garden, a treat.

You will spend excellent moments at the cottage, for info, no network if you are at Bouygues, but once we know it, we arrange ;-) It was a great holiday, thank you Isabelle!

The house was wonderfully clean and comfortable. the bed was fine. The area is very suitable for walking enjoying nature. There was ample documentation available. The hostess was attentive.

The place is beautiful, in the heart of nature Cevennes in a typical sheepfold and very charming. The hosts are lovely and full of energy! If you want to reconnect with nature do not hesitate.

We had a stay that will remain loaded with memories. Leonore and Charles were able to make themselves available despite a busy schedule, to introduce us to the charms of Cevennes life. The calm of the place is second to none and the proximity to the animals has been particularly appreciated by our 2 year old son. Immersed in the mountains, the hiking trails are never far away and will allow you to relax. The cottage is tastefully decorated, and also allows to spend warm moments with family in case of capricious weather. In short, we highly recommend!

The accommodation corresponds to the photos, it is well located in the town in a very quiet at least during our stay old building. Parking is free outside the door. During the day, at least in the off-season, it is parked for free for two minutes on foot. Even those who speak zero French can cope.
