Fantastic cottage in a perfect location, we only stayed for 1 night and didn't want to leave. The cottage was cosy and homely, made even more so by the log burner. The cottage also had everything you could need. Jez's was fantastic with all the questions we had and very quick to respond, even the little touch of making sure the heating was on for when we arrived made it feel very welcoming.

Great place, for a short break. Spotlessly clean and comfy. Lovely village. Good pub. Fabulous log burning stove, with reasonably priced fuel available. With that and the central heating, you won’t be cold, no matter what the weather. Kitchen fine, plus it has a dishwasher. All in all, a marvellous place.

Laraine and Bill’s studio is fabulous! It has such a cosy, comfortable feel and is perfectly located for those who want to go exploring. It is a short 20 minute drive away from many villages, such as Bowness-on-Windermere, Windermere and Cartmel Fell, so there is plenty to do and see. Laraine and Bill were also very friendly hosts - the continental breakfast they provided was lovely and had a ‘special touch’. Would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting The Lakes.

Jayne’s cottage is super lovely and cosy. The perfect getaway from reality, surrounded by little villages. The cottage was clean and snug with little amenities such as tea and our names written on the chalkboard. Jayne was great with communicating directions and other tips for the area. We had a very enjoyable time!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barnside cottage including our dog Molly. It had everything we needed and more. Loved the nice little touches which made it extra special. Location was perfect for us, so much so that we would definitely like to come back and do more exploring. Jayne was very helpful, friendly and communication via messages were quick. Thanks!

This is a fantastic little cottage. Jayne is a great host and leaves some really nice touches around the cottage. The cottage is we equipped with cooking utensils which was ideal for us as we cooked and ate in as we were with out dog. A great location to explore a variety of areas such as the Lake District, the western side of the dales and arnside. Supermarkets and pubs within driving distance but a nicr retreat away from the busyness of other areas. Would definitely stay again and Jayne was a great host. Quick communication, very accomodating and welcoming, lovely little touches and always there if you need her but allows you your own space.

An absolutely stunning, cosy, little cottage. Situated off the beaten track but well located to easily explore local sights. It felt like a home from home, kitted out with all mod cons along with some sweet homely touches with a Lakeland feel. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a very lovely weekend in the pod. The pod is very cozy and the parking is convenient.

Quiet place, flexible check in, everything we needed

Phil’s place is a lovely cosy pod, so peaceful and calming. The access to the canal made for a lovely walk. There are a number of selections for eating out and a lovely pub for a drink or two all within walking distance. The pod has everything you need and exceeding our expectations.

We stayed at the pod for a one night stop-over en route to Scotland from Dorset. It was ideally placed, and fortunately it didn’t matter what time we turned up, as we arrived relatively late in the evening. The pod was as photographed, small, simple, with good amenities. The under-floor heating was wonderful, and the shower was great.

Clean, tidy and cute small space to crash if exploring the lovely surroundings. Lots to do and the hosts are really friendly! They offered to show us to the pod and then left us to it but responded quickly to questions etc. It was very cosy, the heated floors were a god send! We were here during a windy and rainy storm in the UK and felt very cosy and safe listening to the rain on the roof...lush! The bed was super comfy as well!

Gorgeous little cottage in outstanding location with the Yorkshire Dale's, Lake District all within distance. Very clean and well put together. A great place to stay ! The host Leo is brilliant with local knowledge I highly recommend a visit to Cautley Spout that Leo himself recommended to me. All in all I had a great time there, all the amenities you could wish for, free range eggs in the fridge, fresh bread, butter Milk and fresh orange to boot, along with cereals, coffee and tea . Would highly recommend this place, I know I'll be going back!!

Would definitely recommend! Leo was really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We managed a short walk despite the weather, and Leo was able to advise us of safest routes etc. Everything you could need in the little cottage and the small local touches were a really lovely surprise and made it feel really special. Such a gorgeous space! The Potting Shed is the most beautiful Air bnb we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect and isn’t too far away from the village but at the same time far away enough to enjoy the peaceful countryside! Derek was amazing and was there to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely few days at the Potting Shed - such a lovely, well equipped hideaway. It was just what we needed and there were lots of suggestions for local walks and pubs around the area. Derek was very accommodating and the hamper of treats was a great addition. Thank you

The Potting Shed is a wonderful place to stay based just outside of the Lake District (about a 15 minute drive to Lake Windermere). It’s set on a farm, but is really modern and has everything you need to make home cooked meals. The bed is really comfortable, as is the couch and the shower is amazing. We were forced to remain indoors all weekend due to the weather, but that wasn’t a problem at all, as it’s a really nice place to stay. Would highly recommend this property.

A lovely chill out spot, nestled away on the edge of the forest of bowland and Yorkshire dales. The cottage was nice and warm upon arrival and Janet had catered for all our needs with a young baby and dogs. A perfect little getaway for us, just wish we had stayed longer! We will 100% be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Janet's cottage which is in an ideal location. We loved having the paddock right next to the house and also enjoyed all the blankets and smart tv for a comfy night in after being on the go all day! Janet was very welcoming and helpful and was always very prompt in responding to messages. This cottage is a great find!

As soon as you step into Rock cottage you immediately feel at home. There are so many thoughtful touches around the house that makes a weekend break just that bit more special. Rob and Sam are fantastic hosts who make communication prior to and during your stay, so easy. We hope to return again soon to explore more of the beautiful surroundings.

Really quaint cottage with all you need for a relaxing stay. Nice and quiet and away from everything. We took our 2 dogs and enjoyed walks around the area and relaxing by the fire. Rob and Sam are quick to reply and the cottage is clean and well stocked. We loved the welcome pack which had goodies for us and the dogs. We would stay again

We had a great time here at Rob and Sam’s cottage. They were exceptional at keeping in contact if you needed anything. We really felt like we were in our own place. The welcome goodie box was a really nice touch too. The place is clean, warm, and cosy, especially with the wood burner. This is a great place for families or just a couples get away weekend.

Great cozy spot with everything you need for a stay. Penny was extremely helpful in recommending local spots for food which was a nice walk to the shore. Parking and check in was simple thanks to the instructions provided.

The Studio Apartment is spotless clean and is the perfect accomodation for exploring the local area. Theres a fantastic ensuite bathroom with a power shower and the hosts have thoughtfully placed plates, cereal bowls, a kettle, cutlery and more. We would definitely stay again.

This is an amazing space. Stunning views, perfect location and highly unique. The pod is unbelievably cosy and everything feels brand new and sparklingly clean. Alison and Victor are brilliant and attentive hosts, and have created a beautiful space on the edge of the Lakes. We can't wait to return.

This really was a little haven. The cabin was cosy, well equipped and peaceful, it was a perfect way to break up the drive from Dorset to Glasgow and back. It has everything you would need, a very comfortable bed, fantastic shower and great views. The advice on places to visit was really helpful too, I recommend eating at the Strickland Arms - the fish and chips was excellent and the pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere. All in all a great little stay. Would love to come back and explore the area some more.

Pod Tahn was absolutely lovely and perfect for our needs to explore the local area. Victor and Allison were so welcoming and thoughtful. Incredibly lovely people and answered any queries quickly. The Pod was so cosy we couldn’t even hear the storm outside. We will definitely be coming back.

We went here as a couple for my 30th birthday, we had an amazing time, so relaxing, very close to things to do but we chose to make the most of the lodge, hot tub and on site bar, although we did pop into the nearby town of kirkby lonsdale which is great, lots of independent shops. We loved this place and although we stayed during a storm it still didnt ruin the weekend as the hot tob is undercover which is a great idea, everything was perfect and clean and were hoping to come back with friends in the summer. Thanks sheryl for making it perfect!

Poets corner is a lovely place to switch off from your ordinary hustle and bustle of busy life, clean, cosy little place with the hot tub an added bonus. We will be back!!!

From the second we arrived the place was immaculately clean, opening the fridge we were greeted to a bottle of wine, milk and fresh orange juice allowing us to start relaxing straight away rather than wait for our own wine to chill etc. Each room was spotless, there is plenty of room for 4 people and really easy access to the hot tub. It is near to a side road however the banking is high enough that traffic noise is minimal. A quiet location which also has access to a nice BBQ and picnic area close to the hot tub. Couldn't fault the place, will definitely be returning.

Just beautiful! The perfect little getaway for us. We had fun playing the board games, relaxing in the hot tub and treating ourselves to watching a little Netflix with a coffee in bed. Sparkling clean and excellent communication before arrival. We used the swimming pool and were happy to see a couple of vegan options in the bar/restaurant at the complex- although they didn't have any alternative milks, to cows milk, which I thought was a little odd. Thank you so much, we will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

This is a very comfortable cottage equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Dent is a great base for exploring the Dales.

The quality of the accommodation is excellent and the welcome gifts were greatly appreciated. The design and attention to detail of the spaces are first class. Also of note is the high standard of bedding, cutlery and crockery. There is everything you need and it is very clean. Great for a relaxing stay with stunning scenery, great walks and essential amenities close at hand.

Very narrow roads, lots single track but worth the effort. Many good walks. The cottage is very well equipped with quality furniture and accessories. Everything in the cottage is top quality.

The cottage is located in a quiet village near to a wonderful pub. The house is located close to Kirkby Lonsdale with shops, pubs, bars and restuarants as well as being close by to lots of local hikes and sights. The cottage was quiet and peaceful with tasteful decor, high end fixtures and extremely comfortable beds. These hosts had thought of everything and we were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper on arrival which was such a nice touch. Overall, an incredible location, beautiful cottage and superb hosts.

Corner cottage is relaxing and homely we had a wonderful time. It is clean and spacious and has all the amenities you will need. The pub next is an added bonus the food is outstanding and the staff are welcoming, there is no noise or disturbance from the pub . We visited Sunnyside cottage for a long weekend, we had an amazing time - would recommend to anyone! It has been decorated so beautifully inside, the cottage was so well presented and you can clearly see that a lot of thought has gone into the whole place. The coffee machine and Alexa were additional extras that we loved, as well as the hot tub! Barbon village is lovely as well, on Lee & Richard’s recommendation we booked in for the Friday night bistro evening at The Churchmouse which was fab - definitely worth a visit! We will definitely be back to Barbon!

What a beautiful cottage to spend a romantic weekend in! Everything we could have hoped for had been provided. I loved the mix of the modern and old features in what was a very cosy space. Our only regret was not staying another night. We would fully recommend staying here and would love to come back another time in the near future. We had an absolutely incredible stay at Sunnyside Cottage - it was everything we could have imagined and more. It is a beautiful, peaceful space with luxury amenities and the most thoughtful touches. Amazing, stunning, tranquil, escape to the countryside. We feel truly lucky to have stumbled across this absolute gem! Even ended up booking an extra night because we didn’t want to leave! Great hosts fast responses and beautiful decor throughout. The bed is the comfiest I’ve stayed in I struggled to get out! Stunning fire place, bath, walk in shower and hot tub are just some of the amazing features. If you’re hesitating to book just do it I would 100% return without hesitation.

The decor in the cottage us absolutely gorgeous, the bathroom especially. Chilled nights in the hot tub followed by cozying up on front of the log burner. Barbon is such a cute little village and the local pub is only a 5 minute stroll away which we loved. Highly recommend a stay at Sunnyside we will definitely be back!

Your not going to get any better than this house .People are complaining about the cleanliness but it's spotless. Yes there a couple staines on a chair from dogs going in it but stop complaining as this host lets you take your dogs and it's very much appreciated. My partner and I fell in love with the house and wanted to buy something very similar .great location and you won't get better responses The house is much larger than it looks and oh my we will be staying here often if welcome lol. Vivien and Antonio welcomed us as soon as we arrived, were very friendly and made a fuss of our two dogs. We had a comfortable stay, the breakfast goodies were a thoughtful touch, the shower was lovely and warm and the local area and views are lovely. Hope to have a longer stay there in the future.

Wonderful place to stay.

Beech Lynette is perfect for a cosy weekend away in the Lakes. Vivien and Antonio guided us when we got a little lost en route and were very accommodating throughout our stay. The area where they live has the most beautiful views and there’s a little town nearby which has shops & everything you need not even a ten minute drive away. The home was incredibly clean and the bed was really comfortable. We were provided with items for breakfast including fresh milk and orange juice which was a lovely touch. We would highly recommend Beech Lynette and will definitely be visiting again in the future. Thank you, Vivien and Antonio, for making our little weekend away perfect!

A gorgeous home, great location. Warm and relaxing. We had never been to the Yorkshire dales before and we loved it. Dent is a wonderful town, surrounded by beautiful views.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this delightful cottage. It has everything you could possibly need - It is really well equipped - even a large collection of cookery books for the budding chef. It is located in a beautiful area and we were fortunate in having mainly lovely weather allowing great walking. After a day out it was good to come back to such a cosy comfortable cottage, and enjoy the wood-burning stove. Hopefully we may return again sometime in the future.

The boathouse was a lovely place to stay and relax for a few days. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and kitted out with everything we needed. Brian met us on arrival and was very friendly. He had gone out of his way to provide a few essentials that made our stay easier. Can't recommend it enough.

Located with a view across the bay and an ever changing landscape. Beautiful. Perfect base to explore this stretch of coast and for venturing up to the Lakes or into the Dales. Good range of places to eat locally as well. Good facilities and some nice welcoming touches.

Coincidentally our arrival happened to coincide with that of storm Dennis. The most atrocious of weather only helped to amplify a truly exquisite space. Warm and bright with under floor heating throughout and an absolute gentleman of a host in Brian. Can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. Highly recommend.

I've waited till I had time to write a proper review so I can try to do it justice. Staying at the Boat House was just wonderful. It was the perfect choice for celebrating our ten year anniversary. Everything has been so carefully thought out to make it a great experience for guests. The space is just beautiful and so comfortable, we can't stop telling our friends about how great this place is. The underfloor heating throughout the apartment meant we were always warm and cosy (especially appreciated when we came back after long hikes). The giant picture window facing the sea was amazing, we spent hours just enjoying the view, and the stylish lighting and furniture were fantastic. I'm obsessed by the incredibly comfortable chaises longues now! The first evening we spent listening to music on the Bluetooth stereo, sipping beers, and relaxing on these amazing chairs. Before I forget, make sure you read the notes about the balcony, before getting locked out, (there are no door handles on the outside, for good reason). Luckily my fiancé let me back in! 😄 The wet room was incredible (again with underfloor heating), best shower I've had in years. I think they said that room was next on their upgrade list, but honestly it felt pretty luxurious to me! Just remember to move toilet roll, washbags, etc., in the bed room so they don't get damp while you shower. People have already mentioned the "kitchen in the cupboard", and it really is very cleverly organised. Everything you need in one compact space, with enough space for food prep if we needed (though we did eat out a lot). In terms of the location, it was perfect. The peace and quiet and the sea views were amazing, and there are plenty of brilliant walking routes and places to eat and drink nearby. We had planned on staying in the Lake District initially, but after finding this little gem we both said would prefer to come back to the Silverdale and Arnside area in future (preferably at The Boat House!) as we loved it so much. The Lakes aren't far at all though, if you do fancy a jaunt further up north. Although you are right next door to the owners' house (you walk past their patio window to get to the Boat House door), we very much had our own space and privacy. When we did bump into them though, it was always a pleasure, they were so friendly and welcoming, and we loved playing with their gorgeous puppy! They also shared tips about places to go which was helpful. Thank you very much Brian for sharing The Boat House with us. It was a really special trip for us, and we'll definitely be back in the future!

Lovely quiet place to stay. Located just behind the fisherman’s cottages but with lovely views. Perfect for a get away from busy life. Lots of places to walk and visit nearby, only 45mins from Windermere in the heart of the lakes aswell. We read the reviews about the ‘kitchen in a cupboard’ so we went prepared with a couple of frozen dishes, or the nights we did go out and managed fine. The combination oven is enough to get by. The local village has a shop, Indian and a couple of pubs, we went to the Hotel and the Royal both lovely and welcoming. Brian was very quick with his responses and his place is lovely and would recommend for a long weekend etc

Once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lovely stylish Boathouse. Great area to walk, cycle and take in the views and wildlife.

Well located for lovely walks. Very comfortable accommodation and welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed for a lovely break. The house was very warm and the bed extremely comfortable, which were both very welcome after walking in February rain. We were well looked after but had the level of privacy we would have wanted.

A great mini getaway! Pauline and her husband were really hospitable and helpful; offering best places to visit, explore and eat. It was lovely to chat with them but also still felt I had my own space, even though I was in their home. They struck a great balance of being helpful and leaving me to it. I loved the place. It was clean and cosy and just a really sweet place. The check in and check out was seamless and I felt welcomed and welcomed to return also. I recommend this and would defiantly visit again.

I made the decision to take my Wife (who is soon expecting another child) and my 4 year old daughter to the Lakes, normally we wouldn't go in the winter but we just HAD to get a way for the weekend. I looked around on ABNB and found this gem of a place. Right from the start I had all the information I needed sent to me by Pauline, so not alot of communication was needed by me. We arrived at the and Loved it straight away. There were no faults whatsoever. You get a key code for the front locks the Cottage is detatched so you have alot of privacy. The building is made of stone so it was very cosy inside. When you step into the property its warm as there are Heaters that automatically keep the place warm. Everything was in working order and absolutely sparkling clean the cooker and the oven work extremely well as my Wife enjoys cooking and used both to whip up some Biryani and some NICE chicken made in the oven. Beware one small thing though, we had absolutely no reception as the house is in a dead spot (but tbh thats not a bad thing when you want to switch off)... On the flipside to that you do get BRILLIANT wifi which never dropped connection not once and you also have SKY and the TV. 5* from me Pauline thankyou for having us at your gem of a place!!

Fernbank Cottage is in an ideal location for easy access to lots of wonderful places. The property is toasty warm and cosy, the beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. We received a very warm welcome on arrival from Maria and Nick.

Wow. What an exceptional space to stay. A clean, bright, beautiful (and historically charming) duplex cottage with every mod con you'll need, plus lots of thoughtful touches throughout, and a kitchen stocked with essentials. Lovely hosts with plenty of great suggestions for local visits, and a perfect place to stay for access to a load of walks and nature reserves - a wonderful introduction to a lovely part of the country. I can't rate this highly enough. It was a real pleasure to stay here, and we're hoping to be back before too long!

Quiet and peaceful stay on a farm in beautiful countryside near Kirby Lonsdale. Well equipped and comfortable place. The old byre building is airy with high ceilings and individual wooden furniture. Great value for money - a real find!

What a lovely place, The pics don't do it justice the barn is amazing, it is in a great place for getting around the dales and the lakes, Hedda and Neil are both very welcoming and helpful, and it was lovely to have the sheep and chickens outside the barn. all the essentials were provided, including handy cleaning items for a soggy dog, down to a welcome dog biscuit :) would very much recommend.

What a lovely little place to stay! It was perfect for a hiking getaway in the Yorkshire Dales, close to so many walking trails. The space is the right size for two with everything you need to cook while you stay. WiFi is weak but we didn’t mind as we were happy to switch off for a few days. Will definitely visit again in fairer weather :)

The dairy is a great little studio room, tucked away it is suitably private. Everything was as described, and Margaret is lovely, and so all comes highly recommended.

Our stay at the Dairy was lovely! It's perfect for two people and has everything you need. The pull out bed is a great use of space and very comfy! The cottage was lovely and perfect as a base to explore the surrounding area. Ellie was great, she gave us tips for things to do and places to go and responded to any questions quickly. She also left a welcome basket for when we arrived which was a nice touch. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone wanting to visit this lovely area.

Had a lovely stay at this cosy cottage with our dogs, close to all major attractions, had dinner at the Masons pub two doors down on two occasions excellent food and service. Ellie’s place has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view from the garden is amazing and peaceful. Ingleton has pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops and takeaways all within walking distance and with great towns within easy driving distance, Ellie’s place is excellently situated.

I stayed for my 50th birthday weekend spotless clean very cozy cottage bed super comfy . Loved the big tv with choices of Netflix BBC iplayer definitely stay again and ellie very quick back if you messaged her . Highly recommend staying here . It's a very busy road but that wasnt a problem I parked on a quiet road two minutes walk away . And the view from bedroom just lovely all fields.

What a great place to stay. The arrival hamper was really good for after walking the three peaks. Ellie recommended the Mason’s to go and eat and she wasn’t wrong there, great burgers. I will be rebooking for our summer walk very soon and hopefully we can book the sun!

An amazing little cottage with every little detail considered by owner Ellie. The welcome hamper just makes it even more special and with an awesome pub staggering distance away and at the doorstep of the dales and the lakes, the cottage is just perfect!

Myself and my wife stayed here for 3 nights, the cottage was perfect it has everything you need and is really clean and tidy! Ellie was really quick to answer any questions or messages and is a great host. Location is great, local pub with lovely food 1 minute away and 5 minutes walk into the centre of town with lots of places to eat and drink. We did the waterfall trail which was lovely and also a nice circular walk from Clapham via Ingleborough caves and gaping gill which was a great walk. Definitely recommend to stay here.

This place is just WOW! We did not want to leave, the space is beautifully designed and the perfect place to relax. The location is perfect for all the national parks and Kirkby is a gorgeous little place too and with this amazing Air bnb you’re in the heart of it all! We absolutely LOVED the Sewing Box! Such a fantastic, quirky place that is in an amazing location. Communication from Sam was spot on, easy check in instructions and quick replies to message. The cottage was immaculately clean and so cosy with Scandinavia style decor. We traveled with our five month old baby girl and our black Labrador and couldn’t have had a better visit. The cottage is in the main square of Kirkby Lonsdale and in walking distance to some great pubs, restaurants and an incredible icecream parlour. A parking pass is provided for the square which made unloading and loading stress free. Sweet touch of local short breads on the chopping board and a pint of fresh milk (in a glass bottle!) in the fridge, with tea & coffee also provided we were set for a brew as soon as we arrived. We’ll definitely be back and recommending to lots of friends!

This is an outstanding Airbnb experience. A design-led, Scandi-inspired loft apartment that has been very cleverly engineered into the historic centre of this beautiful old town. The owners have clearly put a lot of careful thought into the design and operation of this property, including a Nest heating control, USB chargers in every socket, a clean-air log-burning stove, underfloor heating and comfortable linen. A few inevitable teething problems with such a new Airbnb were immediately and courteously resolved by the host who was responsive, friendly and helpful throughout. An amazing space and a real treat for anybody familiar with this part of the Lakes or those new to Kirkby Lonsdale.

We have just had a fabulous stay for 2 nights , the accommodation was perfect... the spiral staircase was a bit tight but we managed fine . The decor was lovely and the log burner was fantastic we were soòoo warm and cosy. All the amenities were perfect and the location could not have been any better..... right in the centre of the town. Would highly recommend it and we would definately stay again Thankyou Sam 😊

Lovely location, amazing stylish and cosy accomodation. Loved the little touches. The door wasn't easy to find at first, you just need to go in the gate and round the back. Despite the weather Sarah gave us some ideas of what to do. Perfect location for walks and pubs (Malham cove is a must). We didn't have a problem getting around with the car. Thanks Sarah! Just left after a very relaxing 3 nights stay. Paula and Paul were very chilled. They were amazing with my dog and he got on great with Darcy. I would recommend here for anyone but particularly for dog owners and people from overseas. It reminds me more of a homestay than a B&B and you could practice English with owners and they have a wealth of knowledge about the area, which is beautiful.
