The Creamery is a recently renovated charming two storey stone cottage located just under 10 minutes from Gorey town, renowned for its great shopping and Restaurants. A great base to explore our beautiful hills and beaches which are close by.
The creamery has been recently restored and includes integrated modern conveniences. The interior is ambient and full of natural light. It is heated with air to water heating system (which provides constant hot water) and a solid fuel stove in the living area. There is a bathroom with shower upstairs, and a bathroom with bath downstairs. A brand new modern kitchen with dishwasher has been installed. A large bedroom upstairs with king bed ,and a second smaller bedroom upstairs with double bed. The Creamery is located on its own site with its own private entrance .
  • Fabulous place to stay. The creamery is comfortable and has so many fantastic touches that make you feel right at home. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, house and the heated floors were heavenly warm at all times. We’ll 100% be back again for another trip out of the city. Exactly what we needed and this place delivered above our expectations.

  • Fiona was an incredible host, with a beautiful home. The Creamery is just stunning, warm and cosy. Fiona thought of everything and we couldn’t have asked for more. She was so thoughtful regarding us being vegan, and made sure there were some lovely treats for our arrival! Can’t recommend enough, our only downside was having to leave!

  • My Mom, sister and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at The Creamery. From the moment we booked, Fiona's warmth and hospitality was apparent and this continued throughout our stay. The house is stunning, with so many special features. Fiona has thought of absolutely everything - from homemade brown bread to toiletries, sweets, games - the list is endless! We'll definitely be back!

  • Fiona and Claire's place is so relaxing to be at. Lots of lovely little touches like bathroom treats and fresh bits on the fridge for breakfast. Lovely space to be in and had a great night sitting under the stars just feeling away from it all. Will come back for longer next time not just to enjoy the area but to enjoy their lovely hospitality and warm welcome.

  • Gorgeous house, very comfortable and warm. Had everything we needed.

  • A stay at the Creamery is a must! The place is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need. All of the little touches around the house really make it special. The two hosts, Fiona and Claire, were fantastic and very accommodating. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

  • The best AirBnb experience we have ever had! I knew by the photos this place would be gorgeous but if possible it is even better than we expected! Fiona was so lovely to deal with and the her attention to detail was second to none. We really appreciated the little touches like fresh baked bread and cakes and eggs and bacon in the fridge! It’s a home from home and we can’t wait to go back again, I’m already looking at dates!

    Keelin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had the best time at The Creamery! It’s a beautiful, cosy home that was perfect for a winter weekend away for two (although it would have had more than enough space for 4!). Everything was stylishly decorated, clean and well equipped. We loved putting the fire on after a long day’s walking, and relaxing in the living room each evening. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the underfloor heating and smart TV were a luxurious touch. Fiona was a great host - we arrived to find fresh baked bread and cakes, plus eggs milk and bacon in the fridge for our stay, shampoos and body wash in the bathrooms, and even a couple of Christmas crackers! And she was super helpful and immediately on hand when we had questions or needed anything. The main bedroom where we slept was really comfortable too. Would recommend hiring a car for getting around - Wicklow Mountains National Park is an easy hour’s drive and was stunning. All in all a brilliant stay - thank you Fiona!

Situated on a quiet country lane about 1 mile outside the town of Gorey in Co. Wexford, Highlands Cottage is a lovely little house set in mature gardens, with flowering bushes, trees, plants and lots of peace and quiet. There is no traffic noise, just the sounds of nature. In good weather, the garden is a suntrap, and extremely private. Everyone is welcome, but please note that there is no smoking on the premises.
The bedrooms are bright and cheerful, and a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed, as long as you can deal with the complete absence of noise. You are likely to be woken in the morning by birdsong. The suite consists of two small double bedded rooms and a bathroom with shower. All three rooms are on their own corridor. Once you head down there and close the door, you are in your own quiet, private space. Our suite is ideal for 2 couples to stay, as it is nice and private, and each couple has their own bedroom. When it's time for breakfast, make your way to the kitchen. There you will find juice, cereal, fruit and yogurt. You can also help yourself to tea & coffee, various breads, toast and preserves.
The house is set in a very quiet road about 1 mile outside of Gorey town. It would take about 5 minutes to drive into the center.
  • Excellent stay and a beautiful spread for breakfast! Thank you!

  • My experience was lovely. Lorrais a great hostess. The location is easy to go to town and quiet place to relax. We had a tasty breakfast. Lorraine left everything ready for us ♥️ . We highly recommend her

  • Had a wonderful stay on a place with one of the kindest persons i have ever stayed with!. Location is beautiful, view is great and the room was very comfortable as well. It is difficult to walk from/to Gorey at night, so a taxi is most likely nescessary but with that comes complete silence and no noises from the city which in my oppinion is definately worth it.

    Mick2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lorraines has a lovely cozy homely feel to her home. As it's out in the country and yet not far from Gorey , you are ensured a quiet restful sleep which I had. It was lovely to listen to the birds song from the garden in the morning. Lorraine has made her home very welcome and her spirit of hospitality is strong. Lorraine has an excellent and inquiring intellect. I thoroughly enjoyed and was engaged in a very interesting conversation with Lorraine.

  • The room is small but ok, the private bathroom is also very well. There is a very pleasant and comfortable common room, with a corner with microwave, refrigerator, sink, tableware ... Good received. In short, it's a good place to stay in Shilellagh.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountain range, this self-contained cabin is located on a small vegetable farm 5km from the beautiful village of Clonegal. The village is the end point of the Wicklow Way and is also home to the stunning Huntington Castle. Nearby attractions include: Bunclody Golf & Fishing club Mount Wolseley Hotel & Golf Course Rathwood Garden Centre Mount Leinster Heritage Drive Altamount gardens
This is a cosy, tranquil cabin on a working vegetable farm. Most of the year we can provide guests with fresh seasonal vegetables right from your doorstep. As this is a cabin, it has a slightly lower than standard ceiling and doors, so mind your head. The double room can fit two people very comfortably. The single bedroom is a little on the small side, the bed is smaller than standard, measuring 1.8m (6ft). All you tall folks out there may be more comfortable sleeping on the couch. We can provide a BBQ for guests use. We are pet friendly and there are dogs on the property.

Want to see more we're on fbook. fallingwaterferns. Pop over for more info. Or more pics on instagram fallingwaterferns.
The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and surrounded by farmlands. The roads are quiet and walking is a pleasure. We have prepared a guest book for the suite which details all the local places to eat and visit to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible. While tranquil and peaceful the amenities of Ferns are only a three minute drive away. Take away, pubs, restaurants, shops and a 24 hour garage shop. Ferns is an ancient town believed to have been established in the 6th century when a monastery was founded. Amazingly Ferns was not only the capital of the Kingdom of Leinster but also of Ireland. The city was destroyed by fire and shrank to its current size. However the remains of Ferns Castle is still standing and tours are available. Additionally it is a very easy drive to the towns of Gorey, Enniscorthy and Wexford. The glorious beaches of the sunny south east are easily accessible
  • Darrell is such a gentleman as we couldn't find the place and he had no problem to pick us up in town. Lovely and cosy place to stay with a beautiful green view. Even better is the warm reception from his dogs. We definitely will recommend and come back in a near future.

    Osmar2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Not a single complaint, everything was perfect. Darrell was the friendliest host we’ve experienced, and as dog lovers we adored being able to love on the dogs if we so chose. Highly recommend!

    Ashley2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Darrell's house is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The room is exactly as in the pictures, and you'll have a lovely porch from where you can enjoy the garden, and the sound of the creek and a waterfall just in front. Alfie and Tannar welcomed us on the house, they are lovely. And Darrell was a perfect host. Totally recommend!

    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great rural location. Idyllic for a summer base with the brook outside the patio. Darrell and his wife are caring hosts and place a great deal of emphasis on attention to detail. Great value for money for a couple. Highly recommended.

    Des2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Darrell's place is a quiet utopia! Its breathtaking even though I only stayed 2 nights it was a gorgeous quiet spot - I visited in the rain so I can only imagine the beauty of it in the summer. The sound of the waterfall while we slept was peaceful to say the least. The space was perfect & super clean. Will definitly book again if needed for my visit's to my friends. Thank you Darrell. P.S. Your dogs are just the sweetest!

  • Amazing space! Would love to come back :)

    Kjetil2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely experience here. It's a little off the beaten track but that's what makes it special. The room was wonferful and amenities very handy. It's lovely to be able to make a cup of tea and coffee. Darrell was an excellent host, great communication and the doggies were very friendly. I would definitely come back preferably when it's warm so we can enjoy the outdoor area and waterfall. One night isn't enough!

    Claire2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • What can say? The place is amazing. The location, the setting and the noise of the babbling water outside was perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything you need is provided. • Donal's place was a treat to stay at. We stayed with our 3 pets and Donal was very welcoming making us feel at home. The house itself was very spacious, well laid out, well stocked and spotlessly clean. Worked very well for the couple of weeks we stayed. The grounds around the house were amazing for a wander around and for animals to run, with great views too! Cant reccomend Donal's place enough, would stay there again in a heartbeat given the chance.

  • I can’t begin to describe how amazing of an experience it was to stay here. The host provided an amazing space at an incredible value, and found that perfect balance of being warm and friendly and providing space for her guests. If you don’t stay here, you do a disservice to yourself. I’m definitely coming back.

  • We had such a great time with Yvonne! We were in Gorey for a wedding but were happy to stay the 10 minute drive outside of the town centre in a very picturesque part of the county. The views from the house were incredible and the house itself was so nice. It had everything we could have wanted and was very welcoming. Yvonne was so lovely and even drove us to the wedding in town. She could not have been more accommodating. And her dog Heidi was definitely a highlight of the trip for us! We cant wait to go back 😁

Get away from it all in peaceful & picturesque North Wexford. Badgers Cottage is situated down a rural country lane amidst fields, trees and local wildlife - the perfect spot for relaxing, reading, writing, creating or just putting your feet up. Nature surrounds and inspires. 10 miles from the sea, there are beaches & a beautiful forest walk near the town of Courtown. Essentials can be bought in well equipped Gorey (15mins) with its restaurants, supermarkets & boutiques. Everyone is welcome.
The cottage is private and fully equipped for a rural get away. We are off the beaten track but also only a 15 minute drive from Gorey so we're close to all its amenities and there you can access the new motorway therefore we're within easy access of Glendalough, Avoca and the Wicklow Way all 1 hour 15 minutes away. There are also festivals in nearby Kilkenny (1.5hrs), Wexford (45mins), Waterford (1.5hrs) and we're even close enough for Dublin day trips (1.5hrs). Coming in from the private entrance you'll find a well laid out, fully equipped kitchen and living room area with two comfy sofas. It has its own cozy pot bellied stove and a library of books and DVDs. There's a TV with several channels, a clock-radio and a DVD player. In the bed room there is a very comfortable queen sized bed, wardrobe and drawers with extra blankets and pillows should you need them. Wifi is free through out and there are independent heating controls for your comfort. The kitchen will be stocked with a few goodies for your arrival and essentials in the cupboards. (If you have any food allergies let us know). There is a wahsing machine and you are welcome to hang up clothes on the washing line. An air-dryer is available too. The bathroom has an electric shower. There is oil fired central heating and an immersion heater for hot water. Guests are free to enjoy the garden, a table and chairs are set up outside so you can eat al fresco and also admire the morning and lunchtime views. This furniture can easily be moved to the front of the house where you can enjoy the stunning sunsets, which can be viewed from the beer-seat too. Back inside the cottage and up the spiral staircase there is a music listening area with a large selection of LPs and a record player. Though we are happy to have childen stay at the cottage because of the spiral staircase we would suggest it is not a suitable space for toddlers. We have welcomed babies before as they are not yet up and moving and children of the age 7 and above. The lane is a rural lane therefore it's uneven so take things easy as you drive down it.
It is a quiet farming community, with a local school, church and village hall a few miles away. Gorey town which is the largest nearby has five supermarkets: The largest is Tesco Extra (Ramstown, Gorey), then there is SuperValu (Main St, Gorey), Lidl (Arklow Road, Gorey), Aldi (Goreybridge, Gorey) and Iceland (Gorey Retail Park, Courtown Road) There is a small theatre (Gorey Little Theatre, Pearce St) showing Irish plays, a cinema and several Indian, Chinese, Italian restaurants and local bars. There is an Irish music session in Frenchs Bar (Main Street, Gorey) every Thursday night. Restaurants we recommend include: The Duck Terrace Restaurant & cafe bar Katie Daly's Bar & Restaurant The Kitchen Eco Pizzeria & Restaurant There are other restaurants but we've not been to them yet.

  • Frances was a brilliant host. We stupidly left a set of keys behind and she was the most helpful in helping us to retrieve them!! The place was so lovely and cosy, we really enjoyed our stay here xxx

  • Frances apartment is really lovely and peaceful. It’s got a beautiful front yard with a stunning view and great private courtyard at the back. The kitchen had everything I needed for cooking, the place was spotless and the bed very comfy. There was even breakfasts goods in the fridge which was a really lovely touch. I enjoyed the local eggs. It’s in a great little village and just a short walk down to where the shops and pub are. Was terrific value and I look forward to staying again.

Beautiful tree house with amazing views as seen on RTÉ's "The Big DIY Challenge". Enjoy a hilltop sunset over southern Ireland or watch a rainstorm pass over the fields from an elevated cozy site. Light a romantic fire in the wood stove and enjoy a glass of wine whilst taking in the views from multiple oversized windows. Stargaze from the loft bed through a large skylight. Enjoy grabbing an apple from the deck set within the apple trees which connects the tree house to the matching bathroom pod.
The tree house is cleverly designed, it incorporates function and style seamlessly. It wasn't just built for functionality it was carefully thought out from it's white washed wooden walls which give it a clean crisp feel to the gloss kitchen cabinets that add modern touch. You can open it up with the large hatch window that turns the kitchen counter into a inside/outside bar or close up the double glazed windows and light the fire which provides a beautiful ambiance and quickly heats the tree house. It's fully insulated and has modern electrics, the sockets all have USB plugs built in. There is also a electric heater if you don't want to light the wood stove and a Bluetooth speaker which easily connects to all phones so you can play a bit of your favorite music. Kitchen has mini fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and coffee machine all accessible but hidden out of sight. Breakfast is Continental style and all stocked in the tree house before your arrival for you to enjoy at your leisure. The bathroom even though it's two meters off the ground has a fully tiled floor, normal toilet, sink and large two person shower with rainfall shower head. Two huge windows in the shower make you feel like your in the wilderness but because of the bathroom pods height and location it's completely private. Bathrobes are provided for your comfort but we suggest you bring your own footwear. The shower water is heated with an on-demand gas water heater which is almost silent so all you hear is the water. Fire wood or eazy light fire logs are supplied. Must be able to climb ladders and no children allowed.
Located in a rural setting but only mins from N11 and the new M11 Enniscorthy bypass. About 1 hour from Dublin and 10 minutes from Gorey Town which has many restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.
  • Myself and my boyfriend spent our one year anniversary in the hideaway and it was absolutely fantastic! What a wonderful space Matthew and Ruth have here, it is everything you want for a relaxing weekend away. It is an experience we will never forget and hope to come back soon! Thank you Matthew and Ruth for being such attentive friendly hosts!

    Ailish2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at The Hideout. The directions were spot on getting there and Matthew and Ruth were very welcoming upon arrival. The Hideout is just a slice of heaven. No other way to describe it. Everything we needed for our stay and more. All the little touches were just amazing. When we needed more firewood all I had to do was text and they had it to us problem. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

    Sarah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing time at the Hideout. Ruth and Matt have thought of everything. The little touches, snacks, diffuser etc! If you are looking for a chilled getaway with no distractions this is the perfect place. The view is also sensational! I can’t recommend this stay enough. We couldn’t fault anything.

    Aoife2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing experience with amazing hosts! Personal touches and little details are amazing coupled with such an amazingly unique space and experience! Really and truly the best experience we have had in the form of accomodation something everybody should experience thanks so much !! 😃😃

    Aaron2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We are just back from one night in the hideaway during an orange storm warning and honestly, it was the most incredible experience. You can thoroughly immerse yourself in nature while remaining dry and warm. This place is a completely Gem and Ruth and Matt were exceptional hosts. The treehouse was immaculately clean and the overall experience was outstanding. Thank you Matt and Ruth!

    Candelaria2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a wonderful, romantic getaway then this is exactly the place you need to book. You feel as though you're a million miles away from anyone and all you need is your immediate surroundings to feel fully content with life. Our only regret was not staying for longer! So much more magical than you initially suspect it will be. Do yourself a favour and book this place immediately!

    Nick2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great little hideaway for a couple of days exploring the south of Ireland. Matt and Ruth have thought of everything. All the personal touches were very much appreciated, every snack you could want, games and cosy blankets! We visited in the middle of a February storm, the hideout wood burner kept us lovely and cosy while the wind and rain battered outside and we watched the crazy weather from our toasty treehouse. A few reviews mention bringing flip flops, as the toilet and shower were just outside the main treehouse, which we did and they were definitely useful. Ruth and Matt also provided bath robes which were amazing for nipping to the shower! Great place to stay in any weather, switch off from the real world and watch the stars from your bed, what more could you ask for!

We would love to welcome you to our family home, your triple room has it's own private ensuite toilet and shower room.
Guests are very welcome to join us in our TV room, Sun room or kilchen for a chat and a cuppa. On arrival we like to chat with our guests and provide tea/coffee and if possible home baking. If weather permits guests are also welcome to use our peaceful and tranquil garden.
Located near the pretty village of Kilanerin we have several woodland walks nearby. The lovely town of Gorey is just 5km, Arklow town 11km, and a choice of beaches from 6km. Two of the local woodland walks are accessible on foot from our home, one leads to The Wexford Lavender farm and Restaurant/coffee shop, the other via the delightful little village of Kilanerin which has an all in one shop, post office and pub. We have also collected info and maps about lots of the hikes and walks in Wexford and Wicklow including The Wicklow way, Glendalough, Tiahely, Lugnaquilla, Gorey, Courtown, Tara Hill, Avoca, Ballycumber loop walk , Kyke loop walk, Mangans loop walk, Askamore Looped walks, plus the new Wexford walking trails booklet. There are also lots of beaches nearby to enjoy two very nice ones are only 10 to 15 minutes drive from our home and another few less than a 20 minute drive. We love the peace and quiet where we live and listening to the birds sing in the morning. At night because we have a low level of light pollution we can see the stars very well on cloudless nights.
  • Both Pauline and Gerry are so friendly and welcoming. Their home is a lovely relaxing environment in a beautiful country setting only a few minutes drive from Gorey. We had a very enjoyable stay. Gerry was so kind and dropped us into Gorey. Beds were so comfy. Shower was lovely and warm and good pressure. And to top it off Pauline left us a lovely little breakfast when we got up. Enjoyed part of a lovely woodland walk, sorry we didn't have time for the whole thing. But we Loved the nearby Seal Rescue Ireland, beach by the centre, and best fish and chips at King Cod. • I can't recommend the accommodation and area more highly. A peek into the stunning countryside just south of Dublin. I would be back in a heartbeat. This property is on a stunning piece of land which includes stock, dogs, geese and one highly inquisitive peacock! The owners bend backwards to see to my needs and the house was beautifully warm with everything I needed to attend my conference. I hope to go back to make use of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces and walk along the creek and have a chance to just sit and enjoy the stunning view of the landscape and sea. It was lambing season too!

    Leesa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas and Rita’s cottage is lovely and cosy and just what the doctor ordered. Surrounded by rolling pastures and beautiful scenery, it’s a great escape to the country while being less than an hour and a half from Dublin. We loved the stylish but cosy decor and the stove, which had been set for us before we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the beds are very comfortable. Towels and bed linens were all provided, and Thomas and Rita also left us plenty of firewood. Check in and out was very simple, with the keys in a lock box when we arrived, and there’s plenty of space for parking. A lovely trip, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

    Jenny2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely and cosy (a little smaller than it looks in the photos but very comfortable). Check in was really easy and our host Thomas was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Location is beautiful and very peaceful but you need to have a car as it is rural. Lots of lovely walks nearby, we spent a couple of hours in Tomnafinnoge Woods which is nearby. Great stay!

Cloch Cottage is one of two identical cottages (the other one is Cuan Cottage) ideally situated for a peaceful holiday in Ireland’s Garden County. Located in the picturesque village of Kilquiggan, it provides the perfect base to explore Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow. The exposed granite walls, wood burning stove and sleepy surroundings will take you back to a different time, yet Cloch Cottage also contains all the modern conveniences to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Cloch Cottage is located in Kilquiggan which is in the heart of the country.
Cloch Cottage is 2 miles from Shillelagh, 2 miles from Rathwood, 6 miles from Tullow, 7 miles from Tinahely, 60 miles from Dublin, 20 miles from Gorey and 30 miles from Glendalough.
  • We had such a cosy 2 nights in the Cloch Cottage. Thomas and Rita were great in providing directions and instructions for us which was helpful on the country roads. They made sure to have the fire lighting when we got there, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots, pans, dish etc. We had no plans for what to do over the weekend but the little guide left for us gave us everything we needed, listing the local sights on offer and how far away they are.

  • Just back from a lovely stay at Cloch cottage. Such a charming, beautiful cottage with all the mod cons. A perfect place to switch off and enjoy the countryside. Thomas and Rita were great hosts. We arrived to the fire lighting, which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this stay and we will definitely be back!

I live in a 4 bedroom detached house, right in the village of Ferns. My home is very comfortable, warm and modern, in walking distance of the local pubs and shops, and beside the castle grounds. When you want two separate rooms, please book for at least 3 people. Ferns is a very historical, make sure to check out the history, http://www.fernsvillage.ie/ Ferns - the Ancient Capital of Leinster and Gateway to Norman Wexford. Nearby towns and attractions: Courtown, Gorey and Enniscorthy.
I ensure to have no personal items in the bedrooms and bathroom. I always dress the bed with fresh, clean bed linen, the bedroom is warm, comfortable, and clean. Fresh towels and toiletries are laid out for you.

  • Really handy place to visit Ferns and surrounds. The castle is next door and is really interesting. Helen’s a lovely host with lots of information about the locale. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed (very important), was comfortable and warm. Also important, the shower works well and you don’t have to dance around to get the water.

  • Had a lovely country stay here with my partner and young baby, although the weather was icy the apartment's heating system was very efficient. Caroline was thoughtful enough to drop in with some milk while things like tea bags and other essentials were already there. Very comfy bed. We tried the Rivers Edge for a fry before leaving the town which hit the spot.

The mountain view is beautiful. Really appreciated the lift to Gorey next day to pick up our car. Yvonne and Michael go above and beyond for their guests. • Our stay in the house of Yvonne and Michael was great! The room and the house are totally beautiful and we felt very welcome and comfortable. There are a lot of little things that show you how welcome you are! Instead of the offered coffee at the arrival we got a beer and had a very nice evening on the terrace with Michael. Hurrah for the Irish hospitality in this house :))

  • My sister and I booked Peter's cottage for a weekend retreat from the city and left after two nights feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated! My dog accompanied us and became fast friends with Peter's cocker spaniel, Borris. The cottage is a delight, wonderfully cosy and atmospheric with a wood-burning stove, exposed rafters and lots of homey touches. Peter's home-baked brown bread, home-made maramalade and farm-fresh eggs made for a delicious breakfast. He met us for check-in and was available to us via phone or in person for any questions that we had. He provided us with fantastic local recommendations for walks and the house is well kitted out with maps, books and DVDs. We loved our weekend here and would recommend a visit to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing country retreat.

    Clodagh2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s cottage was charming, historical and peaceful. Everything about our stay was relaxing and laidback - we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or serene location. The wood burning stove was especially lovely, as was the freshly baked bread that Peter made for us shortly after our arrival. Peter took care to give us some tips about the local area which was much appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Great host! A lovely wee cottage in a very picturesque location. Really enjoyed our weekend here.

    Sebastian2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous old property in a pretty setting. We appreciated the thoughtful extras like fresh flowers and the stocked drinks trolley. Lovely warming fire lit to welcome us which, our Spaniel very much enjoyed lazing in front of. Peter recommend some lovely walks and a super restaurant. He also made a delicious dinner for us when we arrived - a real treat. Would not hesitate to recommend

    Beverley2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we made contact with the host, we were made to feel more than welcome to spend time at the beautiful cottage. To say Peter is a super host is an understatement. Every small detail was taken into account, including freshly made bread on arrival!! It was an absolute pleasure to meet Peter and his dog Boris and was a beautiful stay in a magical cottage and location.

  • We had a perfect girlie getaway at the lodge. 4 best friends stayed for 1 night but the hosts were flexible on check out time which meant we had a leisurely lunch before hitting the road. The lodge was spotless and Philomena even brought us in an extra bean bag. It was lovely, warm and cosy on a wet winter Irish Saturday night. We cooked dinner and chatted over a glass of wine. Such bliss! Would highly recommend this space for. Girlie weekend. We also went for a forest walk nearby on the Sunday gorgeous...:)

  • Absolutely outstanding host. Yvonne really is the “host with the most”. From the word go when I made the booking, the communication was brilliant and very fast. Yvonne even dropped me into the wedding I was attending and made sure I had a way home. Even the small touches like a can of Coke and a bottle of water beside my bed was top class. I would 100% recommend staying here, I felt like I was staying in a relatives home. Thanks a million Yvonne. 😊

  • Hello Airbnb ers. Gillian and Tony’s home is as described. It is peaceful, surrounded by green farmland. The house sits on its own large garden among a big lawn. The extremely clean and tidy home has large bedroom and large bathroom, in fact every area is bright and spacious. Everything works and is where you would expect it to be. That’s the home, perfect. Now for the hostess and host. Warm, friendly and most helpful. I was so comfortable it was as if I was staying with friends at home rather than in accommodations, meanwhile if you require privacy inside or outside it is there to be had. There is a large gated garden and lots of safe parking places. To sum up, wonderful place, wonderful hosts and all should feel welcome and happy there. Besides, it’s a bargain ! The historic village of Ferns is a few minutes away in case you need a castle or pub fix.

  • Kathy’s place is the real deal-a lovely home in the Irish countryside. The rooms have their own bathrooms and the beds are very comfy. Kathleen and Bill are special people, very kind and down to earth. If you go recommend having dinner in town before you arrive as they are a ways out of town. Bill kindly came and picked us up in Clonegal . There is also a nice pub in town. Breakfast was continental with a wide array of choices. Fun photo ops are the lively adorable goats who are being raised by the couple.

  • We were very satisfied. Since we were there without a car, we were picked up from the nearest pub and driven the next day to Clonegall, where we started the Wicklow Way. We were allowed to hang our tent in a shed to dry and got our laundry washed free of charge. For dinner we were cooked. The breakfast was continental, plentiful with fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, bread, cheese, jam, cooked ham. Kathleen and her husband were user friendly and endeavored to be helpful in every way. Top!

  • We had a great few days in the cottage. Myself, my girlfriend and our dog really enjoyed our stay and the surrounding countryside. You should bring a few fire logs or firelighters and timber for the stove. Also, the meter needs to be self-maintained. €2 coins are required for the electricity. David was a great help and be sure to have a look around for the farmyard animals and the peacocks doing the rounds in the morning.

    Al2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible. It's a cozy but spacious space with a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. The hosts are incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond for us. A knocked out the power and David was there at the front gate manually opening it for us so we could make our flight. Make sure you take a walk around! The animals are friendly and if you're lucky, you'll get some furry escorts to walk you around the place.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Liz's cottage. It was just perfect for our needs, quiet, beautiful, cosy, romantic and in beautiful countryside. Our hosts could not have been nicer, they made us feel so welcome and made sure we had all we needed. Rose cottage is a truly magical place, made even more special with the appearance of two magnificent peacocks, on our wall in the morning, to my utter delight as i have a long standing fascination with these majestic birds! If you want a complete getaway from it all this is the place. We loved it and will definitely be back!

  • The cottage was spotlessly clean and very cosy and comfortable - it's bigger than it looks in the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay - a great place to relax and unwind.

Somers View Apartment is a self contained, two storey apartment, in the Irish countryside. This newly renovated home includes a brand new full kitchen, bathroom and a master bedroom. There is also a comfortable fold out bed in the living room which means Somers View Apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests. There is plenty of parking. The accommodation is just 3 miles from Gorey with taxis readily available. We are also located 40 minutes from Rosslare Harbour and 60 minutes from Dublin.
  • I stayed here for a week while on business in Gorey and absolutely loved it. The listing is accurate, the views of the countryside are beautiful, and the apartment is absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest Airbnbs I have every stayed in. It does take a bit of planning to get to and from town, but the full kitchen makes it easy to store and prepare your own food so you're not running back and forth to town too much. The hosts were always available to help when needed, and even offered to pick up something at the market for me one evening. Great hosts, great property, would highly recommend.

  • I booked as a long stay for a month and it was perfect spot to commute to Dublin and for exploring the surrounding area. The Airbnb is beautiful designed and there’s certainly a wow factor when you 1st see the views equally so at night when seeing the stars. The Airbnb is incredibly private and even though the owners are next door I never actually saw them the during my stay. Comms were great and owners were on hand should anything be needed and also very accommodating. Can imagine this place is amazing in summer. Highly recommended.

  • Clean, compact, well-equipped spot with beautiful views. I stayed in cold autumn weather but I am sure the deck overlooking the view would be fabulous in the summer. Hosts were quick to respond to questions while completely respecting privacy.

  • Nice place in the middle of typical Irish Nature. Perfect cottage for couples and well equipped for cooking-lovers. For the dinners you can choose between a nice back porch or the bar inside the kitchen-living room.

  • Fantastic place, great hospitality - great beer!

    Ingrid2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • I could not make it to the house because of troubles with my flight, but Sean was very kind and really helpful with our reservation and all the possibilities. In communication very clear. I would recommend this place if it comes to communication, kindness and helpfulness.

    Bettina2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Been coming to Shillelagh for many years and it's great that Sean is now using the space above the pub for accommodation. Finding somewhere to stay in the area can be a challenge. Homely, comfortable and surprisingly peaceful (it is above a pub after all) then I can imagine this place becoming very popular. Tea, coffee, breakfast and even scones and sandwich ingredients are thoughtful touches that demonstrate Wicklow hospitality. A nice firm but comfy bed was great and the ensuite has gels, shampoos and conditioners that are great for the AirBnB'er. I would not think twice about staying again even if we bought a larger group as Sean's plans for more making more rooms available is testament to his desire to keep the family pub going and the village will benefit greatly from it.
