  • The Stables is a nice, large space with a good feel to it. There were just the two of us, which made it feel very comfortable. The family were exceptionally helpful when we asked a question, but left us alone otherwise. We felt like we were nicely secluded. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom etc were all exactly what you'd expect, with everything in good order. We'd have liked to stay longer. A great place to stay.

My place is close to The Beach, Coastal walks, seafood restaurants and bars. Our Lady's Island pilgrimage site and supermarket 3km. You’ll love this quaint thatched cottage, over 200 years old. Renovated to modern high standard in sympathy with the old features. You'll love the coziness and the location, the people. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect bird watchers/romantic/writers/artists retreat. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and big groups.
Quaint 18th Century Thatched Cottage within 7 minutes walk of beautiful beaches and coastal walks. The cottage has lovely original features with patio and garden to the rear of property to enjoy.
  • Aine is a great host. The house is cosyand warm. Lovely scones a nice touch. Great for beach walk and relaxing.

    Cindi2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, cosy cottage and Aine is a pleasure to deal with. Also the welcome scones are delicious and a lovely touch!

  • We had a most enjoyable stay in this beautiful cottage in this beautiful location. Aine and her family were most hospitable and helpful. Very happy memories!

    Paula2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Aine and John and family were perfect hosts. Lovely location charming authentic thatched cottage.

    N2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This quaint little thatched roof cottage is deceptively big on the inside. Not only does it have loads of space but has a big heart and a homely feel to it. The inside had all that is necessary for a beach getaway and only a 10 minute walk from Carne beach. Aine and John are the kindest hosts and keep the cottage in great condition. A great alternative to the caravan park with 100% privacy. Highly recommended. Also loved the fresh scones with butter and jam on arrival. Nice little touch.

    Charlie2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Teach Samhrain is a beautiful old thatched cottage in the sunny south east. We had no problem finding the house with perfect directions from Aine. We had a great weekend staying in Aine’s unique house, we had everything we needed and for such an old house it is extremely well maintained. The garden is fabulous we loved it! We would have no hesitation recommending Aine’s place

  • Our stay in Geraldine's place was just what we hoped it to be - relaxing, tranquilent and comforting. It was easy to find, surrounded by nature, peaceful and so comfortable. It had everything we needed and even more. Geraldine's thoughtfulness and availability were second to none and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We will definitely come again! Thank you Geraldine!

    Darina2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful house. So much space. The gardens are amazing, you can get lost in them as the children play. The local beach is great for swimming or just sunbathing and Our Lady’s Island is a beautiful walk. Geraldine is a fantastic host, we had a perfect welcome package. I didn’t want to leave!

    Áine2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sutton Cottage was the perfect place for our family to recharge. We arrived four very weary travellers and left well rested and recharged. The food Geraldine thoughtfully left for us was such a lovely and appreciated touch and our young boys loved exploring and playing in the garden. A peaceful and quiet location, relatively not too far by car from the essentials, it was exactly as we expected. We would most certainly stay here again if we were to pass through this part of the world once more.

    Simon2019-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a great stay at Sutton Cottage. Geraldine was always available and a great host. The cottage was large, an had old and modern twist. It had plenty of rooms and fantastic grounds around it. The Christmas decorations were a really nice touch.

  • We had a really lovely stay here. The house is exactly as per the photos. Lots of space and really clean. The gardens are amazing with lots of lovely surprises around every corner. Would be great to keep kids entertained during your stay. Ideally located being 5 min drive from beach and a short walk to the lovely restauraunt 'The Lobster Pot'. Geraldine the host was very welcoming and very easy to deal with. All in all a very nice place to stay and we would hope to return again.

They are avid travelers and we enjoyed swapping travel adventures. David was very kind to allow us to keep our bicycles safely in the garage, took us into town for dinner and prepared a delicious breakfast. The house itself was perfect and is right beside an absolutely beautiful beach and only a short drive to Rosslare for food/groceries. Perfect for a couple or family visiting the area. I would recommend very highly.

    Daragh2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is highly recommended. It was clean, nicely decorated and the facilities as described in the listing. The location is a dream. Right on the sea and in a quiet environment. In the next town is a shop and a cafe, as well as a gas station. You can also reach this via a 45 minute walk on the beach. For questions, Anna always answered quickly and was very helpful. We would book this cottage again anytime.

    Theresa2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I rented this accomodation from Anna and Paul for two weeks in winter, and we liked it very much. We were welcomed by Paul, who explained everything to us and told us about some nice places to go. The accomodation was just as is was described on the website. The house was big enough and up to four people can sleep there, which means we had a lot of space for ourselves. My sister spontaneously joined us for a couple of days, which was no problem at all. Anna and Paul were very friendly and we could have contacted them any time (if there had been a need to do so). We were even provided with a small Christmas Tree :) We enjoyed our calm and relaxing holiday in Ireland a lot, especially our daily walks at the beautiful beach (it only takes two minutes to get there). We had a hired car available for the first few days, but afterwards we did everything on foot. It's about 45 minutes to get to the next shop, which was a nice walk for us (you can even get there via the beach, but be aware of the tides). All in all, we had a great time. It was so calm and quiet that we were easily able to relax, which was our main desire, and Christmas and New Year's Eve were just the perfect time for that. There might be more visitors in the area during summer, of course. All in all, we can only be thankful for a nice holiday :-)

Oscar Wilde stayed here back in the day. You can too. Tastefully restored to an extremely high standard, the olde worlde charm has been maintained, offering a little bit of heaven with a contemporary twist. Downstairs is a large open plan kitchen/diner complete with AGA (available 1st December to 1st May) and a rear scullery. The sitting room enjoys a wood burning stove. Sleeps 8 adults plus cot. Sunny sheltered gardens. Walk to the beach or just site in bed and watch the waves.
You need to walk through one bedroom to access large bedroom upstairs. Ideal space for children.
Clougheast is located on a quiet country road with a short walk to the beach, and beautiful sea views from the main bedroom.
  • Loved this beautiful house and garden. We were 2 families staying over new year and loved the extra touches like the beautiful Christmas tree. The decor is gorgeous, like something from a magazine. The garden was perfect for the kids as it was enclosed and had a swing and slide. I’d definitely recommend a car for visiting the local area. Overall a great house!

    Carolyn2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend at Clougheast cottage. The house is beautiful, warm and comfortable. It was a great place to spend a rainy weekend! There is everything you could need and our kids loved the adventure of it and the climbing frame in the garden. Cindi was very responsive and we’d really recommend a stay here.

    Derek2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Flawless..... there is nothing to be improved on here. Everything is as described or better, the house was warm and cosy on arrival, instructions are all perfectly placed so you have everything you need when you need it. It's difficult to describe how great the house is, perfectly decorated, all the utilities you need, beds are comfortable, everything is clean..couldnt ask for more. The cosy living room was a great place to relax or nap under a warm blanket after a beach stroll. Cindi was available for any needs and checked in the ensure all was going well. We stayed just before Halloween, the pumpkins on arrival were a super touch! Everything was flawless! Look forward to visiting again.

  • My family and I had a great stay at Cindi's place! The cottage has been done up really nicely and has all the amenities you need. It feels secluded whilst also not being too far from shops and activities. Cindi was very communicative throughout. Would recommend!

  • The perfect home for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The house itself is perfectly decorated in beautiful and practical furnishings. We catered for ourselves the whole weekend and the house had absolutely everything we needed to do so. There are lovely beach walks nearby and although the weather was quite stormy when we were down, the house with the Aga and stove lighting was perfectly snug and cosy. We had the most idyllic break and only sorry we couldn’t stay longer. We will be requesting to book again. Thanks Sadhbh and Cindi!

  • This house is absolutely incredible. It's hard to describe it but I'll do my best. A slice of heaven; quiet, cosy, bursting with home comforts and beautiful touches everywhere you look. The interior has made me want to do new things with my own home. The beds are like marshmallows, the linen is beautiful quality and each room had gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. The biggest room has direct sea views which was such a treat to wake up to. The Aga and wood burning stove made us feel cocooned. We brought my parents and the kitchen was so great for family meals with the variety of chairs and comfy cushions. My favourite room is the living room with the decor and ample blankets and soft lighting. A short hop to the beach where we got so lucky with warm sunshine. We ate at the Lobster Pot but thought it a teeny bit overpriced. Mary Barry's is 15 mins drive and absolutely delicious. Londis is a short drive for groceries. Our kids were so happy in the garden exploring the playhouse and it felt so safe for them. I wish we could have stayed longer and already plotting when I can return.

Wonderful bright and light cottage in St Helen's Village, recently redecorated and furnished. Situated in a great location, near the playground/tennis courts/football pitch, and a 5-10m walk from the the golf course/beach. The house has a large deck with BBQ, ample dining furniture/lounging chairs and is a quiet haven for holiday relaxation. The cottage also has a lovely warm sun-room for catching up on reading on chillier days, a log burning fire for winter nights and high speed broadband.
Our cottage is a home away from home, with proper high speed broadband (for working from home and Prime/Netflix streaming for the kids), a fully equipped kitchen (Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Nespresso machine, Aeropress, Microwave, Electric Oven and Hob, Toaster, Kettle and cooking utensils/ pots/ pans/ decent frying pans), new comfortable beds and sofas and new electric/power showers. There is wifi controlled heating in the living room, so that arriving in winter, the open plan living/kitchen area is welcoming, as well as a log burning stove for when you settle in, if required. There are a number of wonderful local attractions to tempt you, not least our local St Helens Bay beach. We spend most of our time here, swimming and crabbing in the summer, walking and fishing in the Autumn (Bass) and building sandcastles all year round. The walk from St Helens to Ballytrent is stunning, and takes you past a handful of deserted coves and over beautiful dunes. The walk to Rosslare Harbour is equally beautiful and can be undertaken on the beach level or partially through the fields above, following the trail. The local Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant opens weekends off-season and daily in high season and is a max 5-10m walk from the house. 20 mins in the opposite direction (walking), is Kilrane with its gastropubs. Supervalu is a 10m drive and both Supervalu and Tesco do online deliveries to our cottage. If the weather takes a turn during your stay and you would like to enjoy a day relaxing in the cottage, we have books in our bookshelf that you are welcome to enjoy, and games in the toy box/cupboard. Because we have a 2 year old, we also have a full sized travel cot and high chair available, for your convenience. Bed linen and towels are provided, and I leave dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and hand wash for your use. Nothing worse than arriving late in the evening with a few basics and not being able to do the washing up ! We look forward to welcoming you in our cottage and hope you enjoy all that beautiful Rosslare and the Sunny South East has to offer. Instagram : our.little.white.cottage Please note that although we can take 6 guests overnight, due to the size of the cottage and the amenities (fridge, dining space), we advise that this property is suitable for max 4 adults, or 2 adults and 4 children. Any more than 4 adults and your knees might be touching under our dining table...
St Helens Bay is an absolutely beautiful safe secluded cove, a true secret on the coast, that doesnt get too busy in peak times, unlike its neighbour Rosslare Strand - where driving and parking can be hellish. This is a hidden gem on the Wexford coast. There are so many local attractions to explore - Johnstown Castle, Wexford itself, Our Lady's Island, Kilmore Quay...to name but a few, and Wicklow only a short drive away. If you do not wish to stray too far away then Culletons of Kilrane (our local village) is a great place for lunch of dinner. Great food, lovely bar, pool table and fish tank...keeps everyone occupied... and the staff are so welcoming. Kelly's Hotel is a great place for a swim and a spa day if weather takes a turn, only a short 15m drive away, plenty of cafes to choose from here. Wexford town is only a 20m drive away and has a wealth of cafes (The Stable Cafe is a personal favourite!), restaurants and bars, as well as all the shopping that you could wish for.
  • Spaciousness d cosy little cottage with all you need for a nice stay! We loved the location, so calm and close to the sea and golf course for players. Beautiful landscape for long walk at the beach. Groceries shop just a few minutes away with the car. Surely can recommend that place to anyone! :)

  • This cottage is such a lovely place for a nice little breakaway! The hosts are so lovely and friendly with great communication and just a text or phone call away! It has a very home-like feel to it so it's very easy to settle in! Would 100% absolutely recommend!

  • A lovely spacious house well equipped in a superb location. Worth knowing the EIRCode is the post code (i didn't know) but once I did know it was very easy to find. Close to the beach and golf couse and short drive to shops and pub. The real fire with a generous stock of peat was a lovely touch. We visited during storm Ciara, which was fierce, so we were grateful for the fire!

We had a stay here at the beginning and end of a week in Ireland and it made us feel at such ease over the holiday knowing we had Ann’s B&B to go back to at the end before the ferry home. A no brainer for anyone who wants somewhere to stay after or before using the ferry. 6mins drive away. Many thanks Ann.

  • Tara’s home was perfect for our Christmas break and had everything that was needed to cook Christmas dinner. The open fire kept everyone nice and cosy. Would recommend this property for large families. Tara was a fantastic host and went to the trouble of putting up Christmas decorations and a tree.

  • A superb location , easy access from the port , the ideal place to relax and get away . Would suit families of all ages really recommend . Stunning views , great local advice from Tara , a really great experience

  • We had a super stay in Tara's beautiful beach house. We were a family group of 6 adults, 4 kids and a baby there to celebrate a birthday and the house was just perfect for us. Loads of space, very stylish and well equipped. A real bonus for us was the enormous garden that the kids adored. I really loved the peace and quiet of the location and the stunning, deserted beach a short stroll away over the dunes. Great house and Tara was a helpful host and responded to any questions very quickly.

    Fay2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, wonderful views, provided you don’t want everything within walking distance can not fault it!

    Emma2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home enjoyed by family of 8. You definitely need a car to get out and about- we explored a lot of places recommended by Tara and others in their reviews and thoroughly enjoyed Johnstown Castle and Hook lighthouse. The home was lovely and clean, plenty of space to relax and have a singalong around the piano!

    Gem2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • A place to play and unwind: Rathana house is a hidden gem at tip of Ireland' southern edge. There was a moment on our arrival where I asked the Sat nav : 'Are you serious - you want me to drive up that little road ?'- But my advice is to listen to the sat nav, you won't be disappointed. We rented the house for a family get together with three couples and children - 11. The house could take this number, with friendly inviting reception spaces and places for quiet time. The weather in Wexford is better than anywhere else in Ireland an we ate alfresco almost every evening and played in the gardens til 10 at night. The beach walk is beautiful and Carne beach - a short drive of about 15- mins is ideal for swimming. Johnstown castle was our favourite day out - thought it would be boring museum , but it was beautiful and the house tour was really enjoyable.

    Maria2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This home is absolutely stunning inside and out, with picturesque views. The home owners were great to work with. Definitely plan to eat at a local favorite Karoo Farm Shop. The food was amazing. If we had to do it all over again, we would have booked more time in this home.

  • Great place

    Neal2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was lovely, very clean and tidy and the information provided by Mary was useful. We booked the cottage at very short notice and Mary was very accommodating in enabling us to do this, with efficient and complete communication. We arrived very late, around 1am, and this was not a problem as Mary has a well-laid out procedure for this. The cottage itself was spacious (there were 3 of us). On arrival the open plan kitchen / living room was colder than the rest of the cottage perhaps due to less heaters in that space, however after the first night it did warm up. The location is relatively remote, great for some peace and quiet with a beach in walking distance. We reached other amenities by car, including the local supermarket which was less than a 5 minute drive away. Would recommend.

She left all the essentials in the fridge and kitchen which was appreciated. The place is perfect for a totally relaxing few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s just a stones throw from the most stunning beach. We’ll definitely be back.

  • Well kept apartment- ideal location close to Rosslare amenities

    Germaine2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Maeve is such a wonderful host, so thoughtful and very communicative. Her place is stunningly clean, easy to get to via train and I would love to stay again! Maeve was so lovely to interact with, she'svery quick to respond and she made sure we were comfortable and set up in the apartment. If you're looking for a place to stay in Wexford, I would recommend whole heartedly you check Maeve's place out!

    Dearbhail2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Maeve for 3 days visiting family. Location was great and house very comfortable and clean. Extra touches like very well equipped kitchen / sewing kit/ hair straighteners / fire set in stove were very much appreciated. Easy parking and great communication were all brilliant. Would highly recommend Thankyou Maeve

    Lynne2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Good restaurants nearby. A well situated and well appointed stay close to the beach.

    Elliott Martin2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Maeves place is very welcoming with an interior that shows an eye for detail. Also in terms of appliances she has everything in the house that you can think of, all you need to get the fireplace going, all cooking facilities in the kitchen with even some basic need necessities like salt, oil, coffe as well as little extra things in the bedrooms like a complete sewing kit. The bathroom had soaps, toothpaste and even some extras in case you forgot it like one time shavers or hair spray. The beds were very cosy and we had a good night sleep. In general this made us feel very homely. The house is in a peacful neighborhood just a 5 min walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. We would like to come back!

  • My husband, 13 month old daughter and I stayed for a long weekend in this great apartment. It's v nice, quite spacious with beautiful shrubs and plants in an outdoor area off the main bedroom. The kitchen had everything you could need. It was less than 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants etc so v central. Rosslare beach is really lovely even when it wasn't that warm. Communication with Maeve and her husband was v smooth. They were v accommodating and helpful, even helping to reunite us with a toy we left behind. I would definitely recommend the apartment.

    Lianne2018-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely apartment with everything you need to make staying in Rosslare a great time, Faultless. Xxx

    David2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute gem! It's right next to the train station, and a quick walk right onto the gorgeous beach at Rosslare. The grocery store is right there along with a little pub/restaurant. The grocery store has excellent pre-made meals if you just feel like kicking back at the apartment and watching some Netflix! The beach is beautiful, although very windy when we were there! This apartment is the kind of place you wish you lived. In Ireland, some houses can be very drafty. Not this one! It was the warmest, coziest place imaginable, and has the most comfortable sofas in the world. This is the perfect place for a winter getaway as well as summertime! The apartment is extremely spacious and offers two bathrooms. We didn't use the fireplace but that's a nice perk as well. The kitchen has great amenities including a dishwasher. Wifi is fast and excellent. The apartment is quiet and private, includes parking, and is a great base to explore the area. If you're looking for a place in this region, don't hesitate to book this one!

Boxwell cottage is surrounded by over 100 acres of farm and woodland at Butlerstown castle. You are welcome to relax in the delightful gardens and children are free to enjoy the space and the feeding of the donkeys and chickens.
Butlerstown Castle is located in the sunniest corner of Ireland. We invite you to share in our Irish country life style at Boxwell Cottage. The 17th century cow house has been newly refurbished for you to inhabit. The comfort of an atmospheric log fire and a uniquely decorated interior that alludes to years gone by, yet encompassing the needs of a modern lifestyle is idyllic. Butlerstown Castle estate has been in the ownership of the same family since the early 1800s, Jonathan being the 8th generation. Boxwell Cottage is part of a heritage site and is attached to the superb 1500s Castle (Tower House). The Castle adds a hint of mythical spirit to your stay that excites adults and children alike. Boxwell Cottage is the perfect place for you to “get-away” from the roar of the city. Children are invited to feed the donkeys and chickens and to collect the eggs!
Boxwell Cottage is provided with a booklet with information to help you find interesting and cultural places to visit during your stay. Apart form the beautiful 100 acres of farm and woodland you have to explore on the estate you can also explore the numerous beaches nearby. We are close to Kilmore Quay (a picturesque seaside village). You are also a 20min drive from Wexford town centre. There are delicious restaurants nearby to choose from and a number of cafes to go to during the day.
  • We had a great time at Anna’s place. Very cosy accommodation. The area is also nice if You like long walks in nature.

  • Our stay at Boxwell cottage was excellent. The cottage itself is very impressive - it’s very homely with lots of charm and character, but comfortable and practical at the same time. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. Anna and Jim are very kind hosts who really care about their guests. Jim gave us an amazing tour of the castle and was so generous with his time. The castle tour was a bonus I couldn’t have imagined when making the booking; it’s lovely to see this piece of Irish history in such capable hands and being shared so generously - this is a really special place.

    Amanda2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just stayed at Boxwell Cottage and loved it. It was like stepping back in time. My husband loved feeding the animals in the morning. We will spread the word in Canada.

    Lee2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anna and Jim’s place. They both were extremely hospitable and helpful throughout the stay. Jim was a font of information regarding the estate and the castle. The cottages are just wonderful, built in the old cow sheds. Lovingly crafted by Jim a number of years ago, they are quirky, and you can only amaze at his skill, when you see all the fittings he has handcrafted and remodelled from salvage. The kitchen has all the equipment for a cook up. There were also condiments and spices in the cupboard, so you didn’t have to buy everything. The highlight of our stay was the tour that Jim gave us of the old castle. He has extensive knowledge and it was just fascinating to hear his detailed explanations of how it was built. The gardens are extensive and all the work is done by both Anna and Jim. The location is reasonably close to Wexford and Anna sends you excellent directions. I would recommend you stay at the Castle’s “Cow Sheds” if you ever are contemplating a trip to Ireland. A wonderful experience.

    Louise2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • An idylic location in the grounds of the old castle, with fabulous views and lots to see locally and further afield. The cottage was extremely comfortable to stay in and had everything we needed for a short stay. Close enough to get to whereever you want to locally either Wexford, the beaches, country parks or just a nice restaurant or pub. From the moment of our arrival, we were made to feel so welcome and Anna was extremely helpful with any questions we had as well as allowing us to wander freely around the grounds. The cottage has three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. There were three in our party but it would be a lovely place to stay for either a romantic break for two or a larger group up to six.

    Stephen2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • A really beautiful place to stay. Fantastic gardens and countryside. The house is absolutely lovely, super comfortable and cosy. Wonderful little sun porch to sit and read in and to watch the wildlife. Great place to slow things down and unwind for a few days or a couple of weeks if you can afford the time. Lovely walks and beaches. Lots to explore locally without being too touristy. Thanks Anna.

    Grainne2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • A charming, pretty cottage in the middle of beautiful countryside. Comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and gorgeous outdoor space. Anna and Jim were fantastic, welcoming hosts and made us all feel at home. Feeding the animals was a real highlight for the children, as was the tour of the castle for the adults. They also helped child proof the cottage with stair gates and kindly provided a box of Lego too. We really enjoyed our stay in a beautiful corner of Ireland and hope to return!

  • Our stay at The Cottage was all we could have hoped for and more. Mairéad and John were delightful hosts. We arrived late in the evening to a warm and cosy cottage – the fire burning and water bottles warming the beds. It was lovely to wake up the next morning to sun pouring through the cottage windows, a glimpse of the beach and breakfast provided by Mairéad (with homemade bread and jam) – a thoughtful gesture. The Cottage was perfectly clean and worked extremely well for our young family of 5. It had everything we needed – the kitchen was extremely well-equipped, it had lots of extras for the children including books, toys, games and gumboots for exploring the farm. It was a unique spot offering both country and beach life. Our children loved being on the farm and feeding the lambs, patting the pigs and checking if the hens had laid eggs. The farm was so picturesque – we enjoyed walking around the property (as the kids ran about) drinking in the fresh country air. There was plenty to do in the surrounding areas (we did a beach ride at the nearby horse stables – Hazelwood Stables), spent time on the beach, visited nearby towns for lunch. However, we found that it was so pleasant at The Cottage, that it wasn’t necessary to go anywhere at all. We enjoyed the change of pace, farm life, as well as all the lovely Irish people that we met during our stay in Wexford (everyone was so friendly!) We spent almost a week in Ireland (3 nights at The Cottage) and this was a highlight of our stay. The children are still talking about it and begging us to return to The Cottage – which we might just do.

  • We had such a lovely time at the Cottage. There is everything possible to make staying totally comfortable and an absolute pleasure. The cottage itself is fantastic and having all the animals around is really special. Watching the spectacular sun rises every morning and the regular lighthouse flashes at night was totally charming. The communication at all stages was fantastic - thanks for making our introduction to Ireland so relaxing and memorable. Very central to all amenities even though you are on a farm.

  • This was my second time staying here. The location is great, its clean and comfortable. Very nice

    Kristan2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location

    Sinéad2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house right beside Rosslare beach. Spacious downstairs. Milk in the fridge for us when we arrived so we could make a cup of tea! Plenty of items stocked for convenience like cooking oil, tea, coffee, cleaning supplies, kitchen towel and tea towels. Plenty of bath towels provided. Duvets and pillows spotlessly clean. Our host Emma was just at the other end of the phone should we have needed her. Everything was straightforward from check in to check out

    Claire2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect holiday home in a great location. Emma, the host, was very efficient and we had zero problems during our stay.

Quite rural setting located 2 km from the nearest beach, 1km from Kilmore village and 4km from the picturesque fishing village of Kilmore Quay. There are 2 pubs in Kilmore village one of which is award winning seafood bar and restaurant Mary Barry's. • Excellent place to stay! Terry is sound and a great laugh! Thanks for everything!

  • Terry is a great host and his house is lovely. It was warm, welcoming and had great facilities, which we made full use of. Thank you to Terry and Bear for letting us relax and making us feel so at home.

    Alison2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Terry is a super welcoming guy and his place feels very homely. Also, the indoor jacuzzi is a Great add on! Really recommend his place!

    Chris2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Terry and his home very well deserve the “rare find” name he has been given. His house is beautiful and Terry just showed us where everything was and left us to it. His trust in his guests is amazing and his help and friendliness were second to none. We couldn’t believe how lovely it was and wished we could’ve stayed longer. We hope to return soon.

    Rosemary2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Terry’s place. It was warm, spacious and really comfortable, and Terry made us feel so welcome, with heaps of information about the local area. We highly recommend staying in this beautiful home. Thanks so much Terry.

    Lyndal2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great find! In the middle of nowhere yet ten minutes from Kilmore Quay. With the most astonishing jacuzzi bath and a wonderfully relaxed host. This is what Air b&b was created for, sharing a spare room and a life experience. Thanks, Terry.

Self catering at its best. Within easy reach of a lovely sandy beach. Secluded and quiet. Surrounded by extensive gardens, including the magical Rath Garden which is home to many exotic plants.
Totally secluded. No traffic or traffic noise. Bird song only! The occasional moo from a cow or woof from a dog! Garden spread over 3+ acres
Beautiful sandy beach very close by. Easy access.
  • Jamie's house is amazing place! Full of history in every corner, very peaceful, close to a beautiful beach and all Wexford amenities. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, and very warm. Lots of space, very comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen. It is surrounded by beautiful big garden with mature plants and trees. It was one of our best stays, and Jamie is a very good host. I would highly recommend to everyone who loves nature, beach and beautiful surrounding,

    Kasia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A house with character in every corner, a wonderful garden to explore, the closeness to the sea and the great hospitality of Jamie have inspired us

    Monika2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Property full of Character. A lot his history here and beautiful grounds. The host was very helpful. We were a group of fishermen and the owner is as well. Gave us some great tips for the area. The beach for bass fishing is in walking distance. The shops and places to eat 8 minutes by car. We all agreed to stay there next year as well.

    Dave2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality from Jamie which was more than happy to answer all the questions we had. Ballytrent house is a great place where to spend a week or more. The rath and surrounding gardens are excellent for a walk or just relaxing. The beach is less than a minute by car or few minutes walking. The house is provided with all the amenities you might need and there is plenty of space for a family or two. Heating was great and there is a stove as well for the coldest days. Shops are less than ten minutes away by car.

    Alberto2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie is a wonderful host. The old mansion, the big apartment, the wonderful garden, the quiet location nearby the beach and wonderful golf courses....all this guaranteed wonderful holidays.

    Sabine2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie's home and farm is an amazing experience to be part of. Jamie is a great host, who is engaging, kind, generous and helpful. Jamie's home and farm is a living museum with a wealth of history and things to explore. Our family loved playing with the dogs, the chickens, seeing the cows, playing croquet on the main lawn, playing at the beach and walking through the exquisite gardens. Our family had a great time at Jamie's place and would highly recommend this place.

    Mark2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Superb house and very spacious, ideal for those with large families. Set in stunning grounds and easy to get to, would highly recommend and hope to stay again. Thanks to Jamie and his son

  • A gorgeous, compact and cosy home, plus speedy host communication. A good base for an overnight stay before the ferry from Rosslare harbour, but to stress, if you’re relying on a taxi, do book in advance (!) would have enjoyed to stay longer and explore. Recommend the space.

  • Stayed here for one night with my partner. It is an amazing space - really stylish and extremely clean. Great for a cosy night in but also very close to local pubs, a shop and restaurants. We really recommend this place and would definitely stay here again - it's a hidden gem! The fresh ground coffee was delicious! And just lovely to have fresh milk on arrival- a great touch.

    Paul2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement is very new and well equipped: the kitchen includes a stove, toaster, microwave, fridge, french press and even a dish washer. All the rooms are really big, especially the bath room and shower. Jenni is an extraordinary host, very helpful and friendly all the time. The flat itself is directly opposite the cemetery of “Our Ladys Island“ (so better not be afraid of graves) and about five minutes walking distance from the centre of the village. There is a supermarket and the community center which we can highly recommend (fresh tea, coffee and cake made by the ladys from the community). All in all, definetly a very very great stay!

    Patrick2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was our first Airbnb experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was lovely to step into a clean and well equipped apartment with lovely touches incl. sweet pea in a vase and a lovely relaxing interior and decor. The tv with lots of channels was a great amenity to have in the evening. The proximity to our lady’s island with its shop and pub and also to the lobster pot was great. We had a lovely meal in each place and the lobster pot staff were very nice and welcoming. Great also to have the reliable services of Arthur the taxi driver to get us home. We also spent time on Carne beach and St. Margaret’s beach which were lovely. We didn’t need to travel far as everything was on our doorstep. Jenni was away for our stay so we didn’t get to meet her, but we were very well taken care of by Neil in her absence. Really nice holiday, will definitely return!

    Bronagh2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic Stay in Wicklow. Perfect location to explore Lady’s Island and Carne beach. We took two bikes with us and didn’t use the car the whole weekend. Apartment was spacious, clean and modern. Would visit again

    David2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 3 night stay at the start of August. The apartment is really modern, with lovely bright decor and has all amenities. Jenni & Dean we're always on hand if we needed anything. The location is great for exploring the area, and Jenni & Dean had plenty of advice on what to see and on local eateries, shopping, etc. We had our bikes and the area is ideas to explore by bike, there's traffic on the main road through to Carne beach, but otherwise we found that the local roads are fairly traffic free. There's lots of spots to bring a picnic and enjoy amazing unspoiled beaches. We took the ferry to the Great Saltee island from Kilmore quay and it's a trip to be recommended for anyone who likes to get up close to nature. Great place to take your camera or binoculars for spotting seabirds. Altogether a brilliant short holiday!

    Margaret2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this self-contained apartment can't be beat. There are lovely views, restaurants close by, and the beach is minutes away. Jenni was an amazing host, even mapping out my drive for the next leg of my journey. I wouldn't have been able to see such amazing sites without her help. The space is sparkling clean, quiet, and has all the amenities one would want for a cozy stay.

  • This is the second time staying here on the homeward journeys of my work trips and I hope to be back again soon. So very convenient as the port is only 6 mins drive away. A lovely clean cosy and comfortable place to stay with a few very thoughtful touches. Excellent value for money.

    Amie2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Well worth the money

    Kevin2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola & Richard are well seasoned hosts. They are obvious perfectionists - everything is squeaky clean. They are both very chatty and helpful with local knowledge. Padua is a most pleasant and homely place, only a stone's throw from Rosslaire ferry port and an excellent base to explore the south-east. It is quite easy to find provided you keep an eye open for it on the left about 3 to 5 minutes out of Rosslaire on a very long left-hand bend. The breakfasts are awesome ranging from very healthy fruity cereals to sinfully naughty fry-ups which I couldn't resist. WiFi was easy to connect and easily fast enough for Netflix. I do like the fact that a trouser press was available. In fact all the facilities are above par for the price. I highly recommend Padua to anyone.

  • Clean, comfortable and close to ferry terminal. A 10 minute walk to pub for a meal.

  • We had an overnight stay at Nichola’s place on our way to the ferry terminal. The accommodation is perfectly located for that purpose. The room was clean and included an en suit. There is a good pub which serves dinners, located a short distance from Nicholas.

  • Such a fab house great for a big group, brilliant spacious bedrooms and the grounds are brilliant. Our 3 year old was in awe and loved the fairy house. Despite the stormy weather the house was warm and so comfy and the different chill out areas kept the 3 kids entertained. The most amazing views of the coastline and loads of lovely little walking areas nearby! What more could we want x
