Located 5 mins walk to Rowes Bay which is connected by walkways (boardwalk) along the shore to Kissing Point, Rockpool and the Strand, 2 mins to shops & bus stop. A 2nd room - The Red Room for one person can also be available
it is a 4 bedroom house and I live here on my own. a couple would be very comfortable, but just as well for a single person. s(phone number hidden)close to everything, beach, Town Common (world famous bird watching wetlands), shops, castle hill (walking tracks) . it is very quiet and a great neighborhood.
i have been living in my house for over 28 years.. it is one of the old suburb in Townsville. grand Queenslanders with large established gardens.. my street is very quiet and safe. i have known most of my neighbors for a long time

    These rooms are comfortable, includes a nice deck out the back to enjoy the sun or breakfast.. Close to bus stops, shops etc.
    It's a cosy miners cottage. If you're looking for a place to sleep after a big day of touring maggie island or cooking at the strand then this is the place.
    Its nice and close to town including Palmer street.

Just 5 minutes’ drive down to the Rock pool on the Strand where you can have a lovely swim and picnic overlooking Magnetic Island or cycle, walk, jog along the Strand followed by a coffee or wine in the sun or choose from a range of cafes and restaurants along the water’s edge. Features a private tropical backyard with large deck with wall mounted plasma TV and BBQ alongside your very own tropical pool for cooling off on those hot summer days. There are three bedrooms upstairs – the main bedroom has a Queen bed, smart TV, its own deck, walk in robe and ensuite with a spa bath and shower. The second bedroom also has a Queen sized bed and the third bedroom has a Queen bed and its own deck overlooking the back deck and pool area.   • This is a well set-up house hosting multiple guests. It's a big house so there's plenty of space and the hosts leave you to do your own thing. There's a nice kitchen with plenty of storage which is really well organised so everyone knows where to put their things. Really enjoyed my stay!

  • Maureen’s place is huge / great for long stays also - common spaces are clean, practical and cosy (kitchen with cooking ustensiles and basics, living room with TV and Netflix, terrace..) My room was upstairs and the bed was so soft. Could have spend my day in it. It is close to the city but better have a car. Parking spot on site. Fans and AC everywhere and silent enough to leave it at night. Very practical for me to visit Magnetic island. Would totally recommend the place. Maureen is a very thoughtful host and shows you all the key thinks of her place.

Located in a quiet street with large established garden and 2 verandas. A Queenslander. I am German and do speak it as well. I work with Queensland education and live in the house on my own. My hobbies are visual arts, gardening, travel and my grandson..
    The house is a Queenslander with 4 bedrooms and 1 front veranda and 1 back veranda. It has a large established tropical garden. 5 minute walk to Rowes Bay waterfront and a lovely board walk along the shore to the strand and the rock pool . Minute walk to bus stop, shops and a restaurant . To hire a car is at the end of my street, cheaper than the airport hire.
    I moved into this house 28 years ago. I love my neigborhood, the closeness of the beach, the walking tracks to castle hill from home and the quietness of the street. A renowned birdwatching area close by as is a superb golf field along the shore. Living in a oasis 5 mins by car from the CBD of Townsville.

Ruth is a charming and generous host, and her Queenslander house, just a few blocks walk from Townsville’s extensive shorefront linear park, was exactly what I was looking for: to experience the classic residential architecture of the region. I stayed four nights, wish I had stayed longer (due to the comfort and how much I liked Townsville), but Magnetic Island was drawing me on :-). My room at Ruth’s was comfortable, beautiful and private. Her front and rear verandas are sweet, especially in the back overlooking her jungle garden. She was a great source of local information. I had a fine time walking and bicycling along the coastline and downtown. I was welcomed to do a bit of cooking in her charming kitchen. You’re going to love staying with Ruth!

And lots of alfresco bars. You are staying in the city precinct of North Queensland's largest town, so there can be traffic noise at night and early in the morning. The room is quiet if you close the windows and optionally have the ceiling fan on low, you are likely to have an undisturbed night.

The whole process was a breeze and we were thrilled to arrive to such a well equipped and comfortable room. We slept so well we delayed our departure to Magnetic Island by several hours!! The room and apartment has everything you could need and we really appreciated the cereals, assorted breads and tea/coffee. Awesome location.     Enjoy our beautiful renovated Queenslander, with tall ceilings, polished timber floors and a pretty garden. The guest bedroom has a double bed with a fan and aircon. Free wifi is available to guests. I will always have tea/coffee available and milk in the fridge for your convenience. The living room and kitchen is open plan. You can help yourself to any utensils in the kitchen to cook with or relax and watch TV in the living room.
    We own two rescue greyhounds, Bob and Inga so guests must love and respect animals if they want to stay. They are both placid and will not bother any guest staying with us. I am studying Veterinary Science full time and therefore in and out but I will gladly assist you anyway I can.
    Garbutt is an up and coming suburb with lots of beautiful old houses being renovated its close to the coastline and surrounded by some cool places, such as castle hill, Rowes bay and Pallarenda beach with its own conservation park at the cape.

    Spacious self contained apartment has separate bedroom, (one queen bed) , bathroom , living area (couch not suitable for sleeping) kitchen and dining room. Access to pool, outdoor pavilion, spa (not heated) and lovely tropical gardens.
    Castle Hill suburb is on the side of the iconic Townsville hill. Not quite a mountain but a popular walking destination for views and exercise. Views over the city and port from street level. A beautiful quiet suburb close to all amenities.
  • Virginia's apartment is a stand out in so many ways from the comfortable bed with the quality pillows and bed linen to the well appointed kitchen to the thick, fluffy towels in the bathroom. Then there is the back yard, a beautiful oasis including a shaded pavilion, spa and awesome swimming pool - all surrounded by beautiful garden. We were in Paradise and hope to return again soon.

It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
    If your visiting Townsville the only location you want to be is THE STRAND, the apartment is in a block of 4 and 2 of these are residential. It is a ground floor unit In an older style apartment with comfortable furnishings and clean. Both bedrooms have air cons to have a good night sleep in the summer months but there is no air conditioning throughout the main living areas but there are fans. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge. NBN has been installed with Wi-Fi your visiting Townsville the only location you want to be is THE STRAND, the apartment is on the ground floor in a block of 4 and 2 of these are residential. It's an older style apartment with comfortable furnishings.
    The apartment is within walking distance to everything that Townsville has to offer The Rock pool, Water park, Restaurants, Bars, Casino and Ferry to Magnetic island. It's such a nice area to walk along the beachfront from the apartment.

    The apartment is fully self contained with a kitchenette that has convention microwave, fridge, electric cooktop, toaster and kettle as well as basic crockery and cooking equipment. There is a comfortable double bed, tv and a comfy lounge chair in the living room. All linen is supplied and bathroom has a hairdryer. We supply a continental breakfast pack on arrival as well as some basics e.g. salt, pepper and oil.
    The apartment is above my cafe and you are welcome to spend time in cafe and courtyard during opening hours (7am to 3pm) but ask that you don’t use the courtyard after hours.
    The apartment is close to the city centre with cinema, restaurants and shops all a short walk away.

    Being on the water front with amazing water views , easy to find your way, watermark hotel is next door with a great restaurant and take away, there is a coles a couple of minutes walk away and many cafes shops etc ,

  • Tracy's place was amazing. I had to travel 4 hours to Townsville to get surgery and had to stay overnight I found her place was a lot cheaper than motels and hotels and even other air bnb's in Townsville. Absolutely great value for money, and it eases a lot of stress coming to a homely feel where every little thing has been thought out from the food in the fridge to all the little things for decoration and it gives you a homely feel. I definitely would stay here next time I come to Townsville thank you guys again for your hospitality.

    This two bedroom self contained unit is 50mtrs from Townsville's most known attraction, "The Strand". Close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, public transport, city centre and parks are all in walking distance. My Mother lives next door and is happy to assist if we are unavailable. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).
    If your visiting Townsville the only location you want to be is THE STRAND, the apartment is in a block of 4 and 2 of these are residential. It's an older style apartment with comfortable furnishings and clean. It is an upstairs unit and has nice breezes. Both bedrooms have air cons to have a good night sleep in the summer months but there is no air conditioning throughout the main living areas but there are fans. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge. NBN has been installed with Wi-Fi
    The apartment is within walking distance to everything that Townsville has to offer The Rock pool, Water park, Restaurants, Bars, Casino and Ferry to Magnetic island. It's such a nice area to walk along the beachfront from the apartment.

( place looks way better than what you see in the pics) Its only two minutes walk to the beach and The Strand and 15 mins walk to the ferry wharf . There are quite of lot restaurants near by.   • Lovely place to stay. Lovely and quiet, Suzi wasn’t in for long but we were able to still cook and use her kitchen which was very nice with lots of utensils. Air conditioning was also lovely in the bedroom and all the rooms. We arrived mid day and was in the private pool till the late evening. Cannot complain.

Coles Click & Collect: Where possible, I am happy to collect your pre-ordered groceries from the North Ward Coles - up to 3 bags of items - either the day of, or day before your arrival, and put them in the fridge and pantry. This is helpful for people arriving late at night or for those wanting some essentials when they arrive. Choose the bag-free option and I will use reusable bags from the apartment.
