Lovely peaceful place, with great facilities and everything you need inside the cabin. Lovey place for a night away.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this lovely "cabin" though calling it that is an understatement. Beautifully designed and decorated, it was quite roomy, with a large, modern kitchen with a big island and more than the expected kitchen amenities (though no coffee maker). There were ample plush towels and robes in the spacious bathroom with a two-person shower. The bedroom also was roomy, with a huge hand-crafted bed. Our cabin, with a large, wrap-around deck on two sides, was completely private, with a large meadow on one side and a pond on the other. Every morning we were greeted by families of ducks, geese, moor hens and partridges, and every evening we drank in the stars during a dip in the large hot tub. The hosts could not have been more accommodating, bringing out the barbecue even though it was November, and welcoming us with a lovely gift basket. We thought this was excellent value, and would very gladly book another, longer, stay.

Absolutely superb mini-break for me and the family….did exactly what it said on the tin! Quiet, peaceful, remote and private but with plenty to do locally so never got bored! The house was immaculate and had everything you’d expect from a log-cabin with great outside and indoor spaces. Wood fired hot tub was a great feature as was the sauna outside - fronting onto a quiet reservoir and with country walks to Welford which is only 20 min walk from the lodge. Host was very responsive and friendly with one of the best welcome packs I’ve seen with multiple links to local attractions and places to visit. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Hare’s Folly is the place to go!

Very nice placed

We loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s just on the edge of the property so no one is overlooking you and it felt totally secluded and private. We also enjoyed a few good walks and yummy carvery Sunday lunch at the Foxton Locks pub.

We had a lovely time, even in winter when the rain was pouring! It's cosy and clean, close to Rutland water if you want to visit. I'm originally from Rutland and we were visiting family, it's a short journey to Oakham, Uppingham, Rutland water, close to amenities. It was great to have the dog with us and our 5-year-old. We will be booking again!

We had a wonderful family holiday at Fallow Lodge. We have 3 children (7,5,3) and there was so much to do locally for them, and the hot tub / outdoor cinema was a great hit. The lodge has everything you need (really appreciated the dishwasher tablets, loo roll, bin bags etc), beds are comfortable and the outside space is amazing. Views are stunning and felt very private. Rachel is a welcoming and very helpful host. She’s responsive to messages and provided some great recommendations for things to do / places to eat locally. Would definitely go back. There are two lodges on site so a good place for two families to spend time together but with their own space. Thank you, Rachel!

Wow! Where do I start! The lodge absolutely exceeded our expectations! The photos looked beautiful but it was even more amazing in person! The weekend away was a celebration for my birthday and a new job. Nat & JJ had made a real fuss with a big balloon and banners! Which made me feel lovely! The lodge was spotless! The style was quirky and right up our street! There was everything and more you could think of in the lodge and even a very thoughtful welcome basket!! The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable! Now for the views 😍 what an incredible site to wake up In the morning with a cuppa and see the wonderful lake and people on the jet ski! The hot-tub was just an added bonus! Overall we were so incredibly happy with our decisions to stay! We all had the best weekend and can’t wait to return! Thank you so much again xx

We couldn’t have felt more at home at Pine Lodge. It was clean, comfortable and had some personal touches that made us feel very welcome. Anna was very responsive when replying to queries. Corby Glen is a very pretty village with amenities - local shop, cafes, pubs - and the locals are very friendly. Great place for exploring the area. We would definitely recommend Pine Lodge and would return again if planning another visit to the area. Thank you to Anna and Damon for everything.

Our stay was absolutely magical! The location is so peaceful and serene, and the lodges are incredibly comfortable and well-equipped. It was a real treat to relax in the hot tub on Christmas Day and roast marshmallows around the fire pit on Christmas Eve! The thoughtful touches, like providing a Christmas tree with decorations and a bottle of Prosecco, really made the holiday special. It was a Christmas to remember, and we’ll definitely be back!

Had a lovely stay in the lodge. Beds comfy, place was clean and luxurious, great to have robes for when utilising the hot tub. Temp of hot tub did unfortunately vary and was cold on first night but soon sorted through instructions from host. Overall a very lovely stay with beautiful views and secluded quiet environment.WiFi a bonus! Lovely touches including bottle of wine, welcome note and folder providing info on local area and places to eat. We enjoyed visiting the foxton locks, the local tearoom and the local market for some lovely fresh produce.

Great little getaway in a lovely park-like location on a beautiful lake. If you like watersports, this is the place for you! (We were in the area to visit family, so we didn’t partake in any water sports). Very well appointed lodge with everything you need. A couple minor issues (eg. couldn’t find a remote) were dealt with quickly. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway or family vacation.

I booked this as a gaming retreat for my friend and I as a mini-stag and it was so much more than we had hoped. Super peaceful, the Alpacas and Sheep were lovely to pet and we were given carrots to feed them which was a great treat. The golf cart was a lovely novelty too. We were really well looked after before and upon arrival. The cabin is located in a private and secluded area with it's own grounds, lake and outdoor areas with a large firepit. It is very well appointed and clean with more than enough space for just us two. I'd love to bring the family here but dogs aren't welcome, other than this, the place is a perfect little retreat and I 100% recommend. Thank you, Mel!

I was arriving late and Chris met me at the main road so I could follow him to the place. He was great, he showed me the access and details of the place and left me to it. He brought logs over for the fireplace which was great as I hasd't bought any. The place is small but you have what you need. Room was warm and cosy and the setting is just amazing. if you want to get away from the hussle and bussle of daily life...this is the place to come. There is another Lodge across the other side of the lake but not close enough to disturb your privacy or in view of each other. I went to Market Harborough which is the nearest town..they have some fantastic restaurants and cafes and bars...plus a waitrose,.aldi etc just 10 to 12 mins drive away. You are very secluded at the Lodge..you are immersed in the countryside so great walks and views plus you see lots of wildlife around you. I will definitely be visiting again

Sunning location by the side of a small lake. Sunsets were stunning. Lodge is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bed is super comfortable with luxury bed linens. The shower is huge and excellent. Lots to do in the local area. Mini Meadows petting farm is very close and was very much enjoyed by our 3 year old granddaughter. Loads of pubs within a few minutes drive and the lovely market town of Market Harborough has lots of lovely shops and some great eating places. And every supermarket you can think of!
