Cabin vacation rentals in Rutland County

Once again, we had an amazingly peaceful and relaxing time at our favorite air bnb. We love everything about Isobel's place, the beautiful surroundings, the sauna and of course the hot tub. There were so many birds to watch, too, including Indigo Buntings and Baltimore Orioles! It's a perfect getaway. We can't wait to come back in the fall.

Everyone is super nice, place is very cozy and the accommodations like the breakfast are very generous. Great waffles and quiche.

Our stay at Charles and Susan’s cabin was absolutely wonderful! The space was incredibly cozy, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The linens were pristine and smelled amazing, the beds were warm and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. What really set this stay apart were the thoughtful, personal touches throughout the home—it was clear that every detail was considered to make guests feel welcome and cared for. Susan was an outstanding host—responsive, helpful, and always generous with recommendations. She answered any questions we had about the home and graciously accommodated every request, even offering us a late checkout without us asking. It truly felt like she and Charles were thinking about us and looking out for us every day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return!

Our weekend getaway with two families (and kids of varying ages) was fantastic, thanks to this wonderful home. The setup was ideal for multiple families, offering ample space and various areas for everyone to enjoy their own activities without feeling crowded. The location was also a huge plus – being just a quick 10-minute drive to both Okemo Mountain and the charming town of Ludlow with its great restaurants and shops was so convenient. The furniture and beds were super comfortable. The game room was a huge hit with the kids (and adults), especially the ping-pong table! The woodstove and hot tub were perfect for warming up and unwinding. The home is private and the neighborhood is very quiet and was great for walking our dog. We had an incredible experience and can't wait to book this home again!

The host was very responsive whenever we had questions. Great place to just relax, very quiet and beautiful scenery from the hot tub. Would definitely go again!

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay! The house was very clean and beautiful, and in a great location. Jared was a responsive host. We had a family emergency and had to leave a night early and Jared was incredibly understanding and helpful. We hope to come back sometime soon!

Great location for skiing Killington. House was as advertised. Solid restaurants and bars nearby.

Sadie’s ski house was fantastic! It had everything we needed for a group of five adults and a child, and was only a short walk to a ski trail (great eastern). Check in/out was very easy. I’d be happy to stay again!

We had a great time studying at the Treehouse! Our kids loved the kids room and the whole place had a very cozy vibe. Location to skiing and downtown options was great!

Great stay near Killington Ski Resort—just a short drive to the slopes! The home was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with a fireplace that made for the perfect evening spot. Check-in was easy, and the hosts were super responsive. Daniel was very friendly and responsive! Would definitely stay again!

This was such a lovely stay-so peaceful and quiet. My dogs loved it! Jumped into the river and went for a swim, ran around and had the best time. Thank you!

This is a place that we are fortunate to go to each year. Our entire family loves the cabin and peaceful lake. I think this is our 7th year. If you’re looking for tranquil, this is the perfect place. I’m so grateful Sharon makes this home available for people to enjoy. We will continue to make sure we fit in a time each year to take advantage of the opportunity to stay and truly rest, we truly enjoy her place ! Thank you

Such a cute, unique cabin! It has inspired me to maybe build one back at home! We especially loved the tiny fireplace, seeing the stars from the loft, and the frog music. Only note for future guests is to make sure to read the full description as she notes that the Internet is spotty and didn't work the entire stay for us.

Perfect for wedding at Mountain Top Inn. Go to Thundering Brook Falls near Killington . Easy short hike on a boardwalk to a beautiful waterfall. The Country Store has everything and is very close by. Great Weekend in Vermont!

Had a great stay with friends at Laura’s place. Laura was friendly flexible and reached out to make sure we didn’t have any issues checking in. Very nice place with a nice Vermont feel. 10-15 minutes from skyeship base. Had a great weekend. Would stay again.

Brigid’s place is exactly what we were looking for. The views of the mountains and meadows is something special. If you’re looking for a peaceful rustic Vermont getaway, it doesn’t get better than this. Our dog Joy loved the freedom of roaming the 27 acres of fields.

Jerry is always so accommodating and friendly, responsive and helpful with any questions you have. Always a pleasure to stay there.

We had another great stay at Patricia’s place! The lake was so relaxing and peaceful. We had to reschedule our trip from July to September which wasn’t any hassle. We enjoyed the crisp, cool weather and practically had the entire lake to ourselves. We love the old school lake house feel! Wish we could visit more often.

My family and I stayed for three nights here and loved it! It was very cozy and fit two adults and two small children great. It was family friendly and included a gate for around the wood stove so the kids wouldn't touch it. The bedrooms were cozy. It had everything we needed!

Have stayed at The Green Door several times and each time I leave feeling for rejuvenated! Perch Pond is by far one of my favorite places. Dan’s place is a perfect retreat for anyone. Since my last visit the updates are great! Dan, as always, thank you! This trip was quick and rainy, but well worth it! Will always recommend! <3

I cannot recommend this charming little cabin enough. It has an amazing view of/access to Lake Saint Catherine. It was so cozy and darling, and the hosts were just incredible with so many thoughtful little touches upon our arrival (flowers, a note, soup and crackers, tissues, water, condiments, spices, etc.). The cabin was spotless, the outdoor kitchen was easy to use, and the water in the shower was hot, so it all felt quite luxurious. We spent most of our time hiking, canoeing, and kayaking in the area at Lake Saint Catherine and nearby Lake Bomoseen, so the cabin was a great place to unwind at the end of the day. :)

The only sounds I could hear at the property was the wind going through the trees, the streams flowing, and the birds chirping. It was a total unplug from the rest of the world, which is exactly what I wanted. Jeremiah was really helpful with giving me information about activities in the area, where to fish, trails to hike on the property, and responding quickly to any questions I had. Some words of advice: 1. The property is EXACTLY as it is in the photos and description. This includes no cell service. I got a Garmin Satellite GPS texting device in case of an emergency off of Amazon. I would recommend getting one for the safety factor alone. 2. The description says only drive up to the cabin if you have a 4 X 4 vehicle. Abide by this, and I would also add to for it to be an SUV or truck. I decided to drive my Corolla up to the cabin. I made it there on sheer will and luck after getting stuck twice, needing to shovel mud off the drive, bottoming out multiple times, etc.
