Expect beautiful cottages-luxuriously spaced And super private. Nested in beautifully manicured compound. Birding starts here-you will not only wake up to beautiful sounds of birds but actually closely interact with them. They are friendly, can virtually fly by your breakfast table, Land on your doorsteps. It’s beautiful here. The host and her staff are very friendly and responsive to yo needs. They provide you a family service with a personal touch. You can enjoy community walks. And yes, the facility is less than one hour’s drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. We checked out the waterfalls at Bwindi and did a community walk with the pigmies. You will get value for your cost. Beautiful. Beautiful place-whether visiting family or enjoying nature and the general outdoors. And whether alone or with family. Go on, enjoy Lorna’s and enjoy the Bwindi experience.

Best place to stay in southwest Uganda

The lodge is incredible. Set next to the Bwindi impentratable rainforest, ensured you get spectacular views and amazing sunsets. The lodge is in quite a rural location and is definitely a peaceful place to stay. The camp fire at night and the beautiful surrounding make it a wonderful place to stay. I'd definitely recommend it as a unique place to stay.

Recommend this place to anyone. The 2 bedroom bungalow within the grounds of the host has views over Lake Edward and you can also see the Congo in the far distance. Transportation to and from Kihihi airstrip was all arranged. I felt safe the whole time I was there with lots of smiling faces. It was arranged for me to stay with a typical family within the village for a full 24 hours to get the true feeling of Africa. Sunday is a must to go to the local church to immerse yourself in the singing and dancing. A true experience that I will always remember

At Philip's Place was it georgous, it is such a great place to relax and let things be. To watch the environment and get up with the calls of the chimps is truly fascinating. Beside the beautiful landscape, Philip and his crew - specially Gust for the cooking and edward for taking us around, made everything easy, relaxed and delicous for us. I just can recommand this place!

My cousin and I stayed at Joseph’s place and loved it. Joseph was a great host and we really liked the campsite. He also had access to a car which was essential in that area and we hired him to drive us around the area. The location has a beautiful view in the sitting area that’s also set up with a charge station. There’s also a really friendly dog who made the stay even more enjoyable.

A rustic dining area features wooden tables adorned with vibrant, patterned tablecloths and fresh flowers. Large windows offer views of lush greenery, inviting natural light into the space. Wooden chairs surround the tables, creating a warm atmosphere for guests to enjoy meals.

Bwindi Forest Farm and Campsite

Our Campsite is Right next to Bwindi Forest National Park. Monkeys like Black and White Colobus and Red tails will greet you from the tree tops every morning. Also baboons are frequent visitors on the camping ground. So please do not leave food in your tent! If you are a birder you will be pleased to know that more than 120 species of birds have been spotted on the property. Our camping site have flushing toilets and hot water for shower. There is a bar/dining area and a kitchen with firewood.
