Scotch Cove Retreat

Scotch Cove Retreat is our beautiful seaside cottage on the south shore of Nova Scotia in Mahone Bay. It has tons of spaces, gorgeous ocean views, "pool hall", artist's studio, and private dock on Scotch Cove only minutes away from hiking trails and the sweet town of Chester. It's perfect for a relaxing time with family and close friends. (Gatherings are now limited to 16 by Airbnb.) We've put a lot of work into this space and think it has a lot of heart and character. Cozy Cottage on South Shore. 30 min from Halifax!

A very cozy and peaceful place to base any vacation on the South Shore out of. Very close to hiking and ATV trails. No visible neighbors from the yard, lots of wildlife. Large parking areas. Interior is a mixture of new and re purposed materials. Appliances are small but functional, all the comforts of home but smaller. Double bed is incredibly comfortable. What a perfect getaway for my daughter and I for her prom weekend nights. So peaceful and serene I couldn’t have asked for a better location. The only thing I would say is the Wi-Fi wasn’t super great for us, but we have very old phones and we weren’t very much concerned about it either because we were away to get away not to be on Wi-Fi. Maybe it was working better if we had to try it more than a couple of times but we just threw our phones away and enjoyed what we had there. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely go back.

Completely gorgeous home. Top of the line quality and cleanliness. Suzanne was very responsive to our needs and equipped the house based on our requests. Kitchen was large and had every amenity needed. Superb location. Comfortable and very cozy home and very suitable for large or small numbers. I would highly recommend staying here.

Amazing stay in an adorable, well furnished and colorful cottage close to the sea. The cottage itself has everything you need, including a wonderful hot tube. The location is just perfect, very quite and close to the sea as of the main touristic attractions. Last but not least, Sean and his husband were fantastic and so friendly - they made our stay even better. We Will definitely come back :)
