The teacher's house with adjacent former dwarf school is located with its large garden on the outskirts of the small village of Strüth im Taunus. A few steps in front of the front door, hiking trails lead into nature. The premonstratenser monastery is also worth a visit. In the village itself there is a bakery , a hairdresser and a restaurant. In addition, a doctor and a pharmacy. All other shopping facilities (Lidl, Aldi, Rewe, DM, organic shop, etc.) are located (about 10 minutes by car) in Nastätten.

Hohenstein is not a transit point and is very quiet at an altitude of about 360 m. The nearest EK stores are 3.5 km away. Hohenstein Castle (over 800 years old, 150 meters away) offers six weeks of castle festivals in summer and is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Three beautiful golf courses are about 25 minutes away. The hiking trails "Rheinsteig," "Burgensteig," "Wispertal" and the "Rheingau-Riesling-Route" can be reached quickly. Guests with bicycles get their money's worth. E-bikes would be great.

We are 1 kilometer away from the nearest neighbor and the nearest supermarket is 6 kilometers away. This is not a luxury hostel, but if you are looking for absolute peace and a hiking paradise in the midst of the most beautiful nature, you have come to the right place! In the cold season, you MUST additionally heat with the fireplace!

Welcome to the Middle Ages! Martinsburg is one of the few never destroyed castles of the Middle Rhine Valley, where the building fabric is actually centuries old. We have carefully renovated the parlor of the gatekeeper, about 50 m2, and approached today's needs with shower and toilet. However, you have to climb 45 steps before you can settle down comfortably. In good weather you can also linger in the flower corner in the castle courtyard or explore the castle park on the Rhine.

In der 100 qm großen Ferienwohnung soll man sich sofort zuhause fühlen und die unglaublichen Ausblicke auf den berühmten Malerwinkel, die Stadtmauer mit dem Liebesturm und die Burg Stahleck genießen.
