The lake - Hot tub - Sauna

Relax with the whole family at the lake, and enjoy all the amenities. We have water toys for the summer or bring your skates for the winter! There is two fire-pits outside to enjoy the chilly nights or take a dip in the Hot Tub. Don't forget to sweat it out in the sauna as well! The gazebo offers comfort with the propane fireplace. Inside you will find an open concept kitchen that leads into the dining/living room with a wood-stove. There are three bedrooms down the hall as well as the bathroom.

Rocky Mountain Lakehouse is a cozy, alpine-inspired cottage on Hirtle Lake, centrally located in the heart of Nova Scotia. Just steps from the shoreline, our charming retreat offers a private, relaxing escape with plenty of nearby tourist destinations, close to many attractions. *The base rate covers up to 5 guests; additional fees apply for groups of 6–8. For added comfort groups of 7 or 8 are provided access to the 3rd bedroom in the basement. (note: the basement does not have a washroom)

Welcome to Hemlock Cabin, a Scandinavian A-Frame retreat in Nova Scotia’s peaceful countryside. Perfect for families or groups of up to 6 adults and 2 kids, the cabin features three bedrooms: a king master, a queen room, and a fun bunk room for four children. Enjoy direct lake access with a private dock for swimming and relaxing. New in August 2025, guests can also unwind in our premium four-person cedar barrel sauna, imported from Estonia and equipped with a modern Huum 9kW heater.

You can beach-hop for the day all within the area; from quieter National Park/Kejimkujik Seaside,Port Joli, Louis Head, Crescent Carter's Beach, along with many unmapped beaches in between! With a large deck, propane fire table and screened-in gazebo with patio lights right on Crooked Lake in Italy Cross, the cottage is just one hour and 15 minutes from Halifax and approx. 20 minutes from some of the finest beaches in NS. Spend your days lounging just steps away from the lake, throwing the ball for the dogs or BBQing with the peaceful hum of the country as your soundtrack.
