We loved our stay at the lodge! Beautiful and relaxing! A nature lovers dream!

We were welcomed with a sweet birthday gift and card! This weekend was filled with lots of events for us. A birthday and a wedding. We used this cute little place for our bridal shower breakfast and got wedding ready. It had everything we needed and we were all comfortable. I highly recommend this location! It’s beautiful!

Such a pleasant house with all the amenities you need. The furnishings are beautiful and add to the charm. The space was perfect to host our family for graduation weekend. Large open sitting area in proximity to the kitchen with a large dining room to accommodate the whole family.

Absolutely stunning historical home. Spacious and extremely clean! (Soooo clean 🤗) Our fur babies loved the fenced in yard. Plenty of bathrooms, linens, towels, kitchen supplies…etc. My only minor complaint is the tiny showers in the extra bedrooms. But, being that it is a historical home, I’m glad there were showers at all. It would definitely not deter me from staying again. Beautiful home and great hosts!

Home met our family’s needs perfectly. Kitchen was spacious & well equipped for preparing meals and bedrooms were cozy. The house is decorated lovely, and we enjoyed the huge front porch. Hosts were very helpful & responsive. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay.

We had 8 people and 2 dogs and the house worked great for us. Fenced yard with dog door was wonderful. Large garage hangout was great as some of us get up early, some stay up late and it provided a place that did not bother anyone who was sleeping. David answered any questions we had promptly. Super good host.

Chris’s place is perfect for me and my annual trip to PA. He’s a great host. Very respectful, helpful and friendly. I saved his recommendations for future reference and stays. I love the place and it will be my first choice next year! Thanks Chris!!

Beautiful & peaceful cabin with fenced in yard for our pups! Sandra was an amazing host! We had some unexpected weather and Sandra not only checked on us but brought us dinner! Her cabin was clean, bright, & had all the comforts of home. Cabin was well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your family & your fur babies. We would love to visit again, thank you Sandra!!

Sherry’s place was exactly what was described in the listing and even better in person. Our family of four enjoyed Memorial Day Weekend here and enjoyed the golf course and Clubhouse Restaurant. We will be returning again soon. Make sure you give this place a try!

Everything was amazing. I would have liked if the cell signal was better but im camping so that's not a big deal. it would be nice if there were more trails onsight. only a few fishing spots u could reach. And a boat would cost 800 a day which I couldn't afford. But all that said, litteraly everything else was perfect. Beautiful location, great ppl and they provided everything you need for a camping trip. I will definitely be back.

Location, ambience inside and out, roominess, cleanliness, decor, and price are outstanding for this Blue Knob house. All 7 of us had plenty of space and the laundry, deck, parking, street quietness were all above and beyond. Modern appliances combined with the colors and pictures and furnishings to give that ski mountain getaway, yet elegant feel. Don't hesitate to check it out. Thanks!

I love how it makes me feel like home. Great work area and the kitchen is my favorite place. Also really convenient if you have dogs cause there is some great area to go in a long walk with your pets

We had an amazing stay at The Fox Den with our host, Janine. From start to finish, Janine was incredibly communicative, making the check-in and check-out process effortless. She clearly cares about creating a great guest experience, and it shows in every thoughtful detail of the home. The house itself feels like it was designed specifically for your stay—everything is intuitive, well-organized, and comfortable. We stayed with my wife and I, both sets of our parents, and our two toddlers, and it was the perfect setup for a multi-generational family trip. The backyard is spacious and relaxing, and the creek and nearby river gave our kids endless opportunities to explore and play. The location is fantastic: just 5 minutes from town for any last-minute essentials, and about 15 minutes from the marina and a resort on the lake. We’d absolutely return and recommend The Fox Den to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed getaway.

I booked this place for a board game birthday weekend with friends. We each had our own rooms and bathrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone. It was also nice to have the pool table and self playing piano. The best part was the heated floor in the kitchen area.

The wooded mountain setting is just relaxing and the stress of the world’s problems melted away during the drive up the mountain. I would strongly recommend checking in during daylight, especially if there is fog (or snow in winter). This is a ski resort and the roads are mountain ski resort roads and visibility can be sketchy in weather. Never had time to use the resort amenities but they were very close and looked very nice. On one of my puppy walks I saw a common area with a fire pit pre-stocked with wood. Wish I had time to use it. Booking was smooth and hosts were very responsive even after hours. E-locks made check in easy. Nice K-cup coffee selection was a life saver. Bathroom was good sized and spotless. Wife is a clean freak and didn’t utter a peep! A primary concern of my wife and I is sleep comfort. The mattress was more COMFORTABLE than the one at home - not the cheap mats you find at some airbnbs. Heaters looked new and took the chill off the rainy nights perfectly.

The place was cozy and comfortable. All the bedding and furniture was dated but comfortable. I really enjoy my stay overall as it was close to the ski slope and provided a nice place to relax. My two complaints are that the showers are very finicky about temperature, the would go from burning hot to freezing cold without doing anything and that the dishwasher is broken so we had to hand-wash all the dishes we used.

We were looking for a place to spend the weekend fishing some of the great PA class A fishing streams in the area and Laura’s place met our needs perfectly! As a bonus it was an easy walk down to the Little Juniata River! Loved waking up to the sounds of the birds and trains that frequently run through the area. Also appreciated the Seattle’s Best Coffee in the morning!

Fantastic, a true find! Beautiful setting, quiet and private. Well appointed, they’ve thought of everything. The perfect gathering place!

A great place and a wonderful host!

We just returned from our trip where our Penn State son met us for a weekend getaway (an hour from State College). The house was just beautiful with charming decor that was clearly lovingly chosen. The supermarket was conveniently close by and the very well equipped kitchen allowed us to cook an Easter feast. The house was impressively clean, the beds were comfortable, there were lots of gathering areas, and we enjoyed hiking down to the lake. Jill was very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

This is definitely a hidden gem! A home away from home, with all things needed and those you don’t know you need until you do! Last but not least the location couldn’t be more perfect for getting around town not to mention a great view of the beautiful surroundings!

We've stayed in quite a few places over the years and this was by far the most beautiful and peaceful place we've been yet. The view out the dining room windows was fantastic, especially in the morning watching the sun rise over the mountains. If you are into wildlife then you shouldn't be disappointed. We seen deer, groundhogs and a plethora of birds, also witnessed some gray foxes on the property, which is a first for us. The house decor was delightful and very colorful which gives off happy vibes. The owner does everything possible to make your stay relaxing and easy. He even has drawers and cabinets labeled throughout the house to make finding what you need a breeze. I've never stayed anywhere where the owner did that. Nice touch! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet country getaway. Thank you for inviting us into your home and we hope to find our way back here again!
