The River’s Nest

EllenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a special little place with many thoughtful touches from the owners. The king size bed is so soft and comfortable, with matching cozy robes that make you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel! The reclining couch is amazingingly comfortably too! All throughout there are just details and care. You can hear the river rushing by which is so soothing, and there is a nice little outdoor table to eat at it. It's a small space, perfect for a couple, but I was there with my son, who stayed on the sun porch and slept on the day bed and that worked great. The host was gracious to make sure I understood the kitchen was a kitchenette so it is really just functional for simple cooking (i.e. I could make bacon and eggs each morning on the little burners, and we also used the grill they provided. There is also an air fryer that can be used to bake etc) All in all I would definitely come back here - great location, well-kept lovely cottage, wonderful hosts.

MAINE LAKE-FRONT COTTAGE- CONNECTING WITH NATURE

CynthiaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Cozy, comfortable, lakefront cottage. We had an incredibly relaxing week and enjoyed listening to the water and loons. Nancy and Ed were great hosts, made us feel at home, and provided everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked including bowls for the dog. We loved sitting with our feet in the water, lounging on the deck, and sitting on the sun porch.

Entire Spacious Orono Apartment

My two friends and I went to a concert in Bangor Maine, and we needed a close place to stay at. Seth’s Airbnb was perfect. We only stayed overnight but it was perfect for what we needed. There is a huge comfortable bed, a cot, and two couches so lots of options for sleeping. Overall it was a great stay.

Looney Cottage Lake Pushaw Old Town

Shelly and Tuba are AMAZING hosts! We’ve rented a few Airbnbs in the past and never really interacted with hosts. This time around, we were able to communicate about anything that came up- ex: grill ran out of gas, Shelly walked up with a new propane tank in less than five minutes. Our phone service was a dead spot there and they made sure the WiFi reached us by going out and buying an extender. Anything we needed was at our fingertips. The location was peaceful and beautiful. We brought our three dogs who are skittish around strangers and Shelly and Tuba made an effort to interact with them and showed kindness and understanding. The lake was gorgeous and so warm. Shelly has a great clean opening little beach to get in and out of the water which is such a plus in Maine! We swam with our dogs and kayaked. We felt right at home at Shelly’s place. Tuba makes incredible Turkish towels that are game changing. We couldn’t leave without buying some!! We will DEFINITELY book again and again!

Lakeside Cottage

Nick’s place is a gem! It was a gorgeous location to get our son off the UMaine campus and visit for a few days. The house overlooks peaceful Hermon Pond easily enjoyed from the big windows, the deck or the waterfront. The house was immaculate and had anything you could need. The kitchen had everything required to make a few home cooked meals. Beds were big and very comfortable. Nick was communicative and generous. We hope to be back in warmer weather to take advantage of the kayaks!
